[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the first 15 podcast.
• 1:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Our scripture for today comes from Revelation chapter 1 verses 17 through 19.
• 1:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: The scripture says
• 1:10
[SPEAKER_01]: When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.
• 1:15
[SPEAKER_01]: But he laid his right hand on me saying, Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one.
• 1:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I died and behold, I am alive forevermore.
• 1:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And I have the keys of death and hateys.
• 1:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Right there for the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this.
• 1:43
[SPEAKER_01]: The story of John receiving the book of Revelation from Jesus brings tears to my eyes.
• 1:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I imagine an isolated, weary and lonely John on Patmos, spending his days waiting until he gets to be with his beloved Jesus again.
• 2:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I imagine his heart yearning just to see his friend in Savior.
• 2:08
[SPEAKER_01]: and suddenly, after years of serving Jesus, he appears to John once again, his Lord and King standing before him.
• 2:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Speaking to him, that which will be the final words of Scripture.
• 2:24
[SPEAKER_01]: In Revelation chapter 1, verses 12 through 20, John records Jesus coming to meet with him saying, then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me.
• 2:36
[SPEAKER_01]: And on turning, I saw seven golden lampstands.
• 2:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And in the midst of the lampstands, one like a sun of man closed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.
• 2:51
[SPEAKER_01]: The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow.
• 2:57
[SPEAKER_01]: His eyes were like a flame of fire.
• 3:00
[SPEAKER_01]: His feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace.
• 3:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And his voice was like the roar of many waters.
• 3:10
[SPEAKER_01]: In his right hand, he held seven stars.
• 3:14
[SPEAKER_01]: From his mouth, he may sharp too edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.
• 3:22
[SPEAKER_01]: When I saw him, I felt his feet as though dead, but he laid his right hand on me, saying, Fear not, I am the first and the last and the living one.
• 3:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I died and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and hateys.
• 3:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Right therefore, the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this.
• 3:53
[SPEAKER_01]: as for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and the seven golden lamp stands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven lamp stands are the seven churches.
• 4:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine the joy and awe in John's heart, as his rabbi Jesus reveals himself in glory, to once again share with him history altering revelation
• 4:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine the passion John would feel as his last days, which he thought he would spend alone in exile, are interrupted by a final chapter of Kingdom work delivered straight from the mouth of his Savior.
