A humble, generous man whose life was defined by faith, family, and service, Richard “Dana” McAtee, 78, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away on July 14. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Dana spent over four decades as a nuclear engineer at General Electric and once dreamed of broadcasting on local radio. A proud Army ROTC graduate from UNC Wilmington, he also dedicated more than 60 years to Winter Park Baptist Church, helping broadcast its services to reach countless souls.
