Our Lord God, who reigns on high, we thank you, Father, for

another day. We thank you, Lord Jesus, for

waking us up and putting us on our feet.

Lord, I pray that you will be well pleased with the reading of

your scriptures today as they are spoken, as they go out.

Father, I pray that your word will never return void.

I pray God that it'll be pressed down.

I pray God that it'll go out and touch many, Lord, and let

somebody get saved today. Let the chains fall off today.

God, bind the enemy today from off of somebody's life who is

whispering lies to them. Lord, I pray against all the

schemes of the enemy. Lord, silence him.

Silence all the accusations in the name of Jesus.

I pray, Lord, that you will be high and lifted up and exalted,

higher than any of our emotions, any of our circumstances, any of

our feelings. God, anything that is trying to

come up against the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

God, we tear down those strongholds by His, his mighty

name, the name that is above all name.

He is the long-awaited Messiah, the anointed.

He is the Most High God, Jesus Christ High and lifted up and

exalted. Yes, you're the King of the

universe, forever worthy to be praised.

Lord, we get out of our own way. Lord, we give you center stage

today. You get all of the space today.

Hide me, hide my words, hide my thoughts.

Jesus Christ, you be exalted. Holy Spirit, you teach us and

give us discernment. I decrease as you increase.

King Jesus, we love you. We love everything about you.

Teach us your eternal paths. We are acknowledging you this

morning, so we ask that you will lead us into eternal paths of

righteousness. Give us your righteousness.

Let us be holy because your holy clothe us with the armor of

light. As we put on the full armor

today, let us withstand and let us refuse to give any inch to

the enemy today. God, let us stand firm till the

end. Would we stand on truth?

Would we live the right way? We run this race and receive

peace from the good news of Jesus Christ.

Lord, we put on our helmet of salvation, remembering just how

far we've come. Lord, we lift up faith over our
2:50
head, over our mind, over our senses, and God, help us to

rightly divide the word today. God, bind the enemy from off of

this time. Let it be holy, let it be set

apart. God, we consecrate this temple,

we get rid of all evil and malice, all deceit and gossip

and slander. God, we get rid of any impulses
3:19
that are not of you today. God, I pray that you'll help us

to walk in purity today. And Lord, let us tell somebody

about our salvation story of what you did for us and how far
3:34
you have brought us and how we were once dead in our trespasses
3:38
alone and our sin. But you broke in God.

You broke down that fence. God, you broke down that wall.

God, you snatched us out of the fire.

God, you rescued us from sin and self.

And so, God, we celebrate you today in the mighty name of

Jesus Christ. I pray man.

Well, let's start in verse one. Dare any of you having a matter

against another go to law before the unjust and not before the
4:17
Saints? We're going to get into a very
4:20
interesting little passage of Scripture here where Paul is
4:24
going to unpack some things of how we are to act amongst each
4:29
other as believers within the church capital C The ecclesia
4:35
called out ones and he sang. Far be it from us to take our
4:40
legal matters before a bunch of unbelievers who don't care
4:45
anything for God. They make us put our hand on the
4:49
Bible, but they don't care anything about the Bible.

And So what you need to understand is that within the
4:56
unity of a community of believers, we should be able to
5:01
come to a hospitable agreement with each other.

And we should be able to, by what the word of God says, be
5:11
able to judge what is right, and what is true, and what is good,
5:16
and what is holy, and what is pure, and what is pleasing unto
5:20
God. And it is not because we have
5:23
some corner on knowledge. It is because we can read.

It's simply by reading the Word of God that you can start to
5:36
understand the mind of Christ. And what does God say about a
5:40
matter? Not what do we think, not what
5:43
do we surmise, but what does the Bible say about every single
5:49
topic that you are ever going to encounter for the rest of your
5:54
life, for all of remaining generations from here until the
5:59
Lord calls us home. By and by, you need to know that
6:02
the Word of God is complete and it has something to say about
6:07
every single instance that you find yourself in.

And Paul here is going to expound upon it and show us how
6:18
we err whenever we try to take our legal movements in front of
6:25
a Pagan court who care nothing for the word of God.

They are only there for their own selfish vanity and gain, and
6:35
no one wins in the end but the lawyers.

Verse 2. Do you not know that the Saints
6:43
shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged
6:49
by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

So Paul here is going to show us how our inheritance in Christ is

to rule and reign with him. And during the millennial time,
7:07
this thousand year reign of Jesus Christ on literal planet
7:13
earth, friends, he's going to be ruling and reigning from
7:17
Jerusalem and he's going to give us charge over cities, friends.
7:22
And this is not extra biblical. This is supported by the word of
7:27
God. But it is ignorance of the word
7:29
of God that is plaguing the church today.

We only want to be spoon fed and we are ignorant of all of what
7:36
the word of God teaches us in its entirety, friends.

And that is the the reason that we need to be rooted and
7:42
grounded in the Word of God. We don't need to just rely on
7:46
somebody else to tell us what the Word of God says.

We must get into the word of God for ourselves and we must feast
7:54
on it and let it ruminate and digest it, friends.

And then you will find that the completeness of God's Word is

pointing us to the fact that you and I will be ruling and
8:10
reigning with Jesus Christ when we are called up to meet Him in
8:14
the air there we will be with Him forevermore. 3 Know you not

that we shall judge angels. How much more things that
8:25
pertain to this life. So here is where the great
8:29
rebellion in heaven broke out. This is where you see Lucifer
8:35
rebel against God, because God made human beings as His
8:41
masterpiece. And out of all creation, the
8:47
sun, the moon, the stars, out of all of creation, all the
8:52
planets, the depths of the ocean, out of all of God's
8:56
creation, even all of the angelic host, you and I are His
9:03
masterpiece. Think about it.

And we at this time are made a little lower than the angels

because we have immortal bodies and we will have to go from
9:15
ashes to ashes and dust to dust and get pushed back down into
9:20
the earth, friends. And here you can imagine how
9:23
Satan rebelled against this plan of God that they would serve us

one day and that we would judge them one day.

So every time that Satan gets a human being to make a love
9:38
decision for hell and to send themselves to hell, it is one
9:42
less human that sits in judgment of him one day.

Think about it friends, There's a whole lot more going on all
9:51
around you than what you realize.

We will judge the angels and we will judge the world.

For if then you have judgments of things pertaining to this

life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

He's saying even the babes in Christ should be able to
10:14
understand what is right and what is wrong.

Whenever you are a regenerated man, when God gives you a new
10:23
heart and a new mind, when He puts a spirit within you,

friends, you should be able to tell what is right and what is
10:30
wrong. We need not take it before
10:34
court. And so many times we have made a
10:36
love decision for Mammon, or we are steeped in our pride and
10:41
reputation and we take people to task because we're trying to get
10:46
money out of them or we're trying to show everyone just how
10:51
right we are. And Paul is going to have
10:54
something to say here about that.

Five. I speak to your shame.

It is so. Is it so that there is not a
11:07
wise man among you? No, not one.

I shall be able to judge between his brothers.

He's saying is out of everyone there in Corinth, there's not a
11:20
single person that you trust to be an arbitrator between these
11:25
two people who are at odds with each other, that you have to
11:32
take this before a unrighteous court who cared nothing for the
11:39
laws and decrees of God. 6 but brother goes to law with brother
11:46
and that before unbelievers. You can see that Paul is
11:55
completely taken back by their actions of two Christian
12:02
brothers who should be madly and completely in love with Jesus
12:07
Christ. And he says we'll know each
12:09
other by the love that we have for each other.
12:11
And so here these two men, for whatever reason, are wanting to
12:16
take their matters, their legal matters before an unrighteous
12:22
court system. And Paul's saying, far be it
12:25
from you to do so. There should be at least one
12:28
person within that community that you trust to go to for
12:33
sound judgment upon these things.

And all we need to know is what does the Word of God say about
12:40
that matter? That's it, friends, It settles
12:42
it. There's no wiggle room and no
12:45
Gray area. It is black and white.
12:48
It is matter of fact what does the Bible say about a certain
12:53
particular issue? And that is what is right, and
12:56
that is what is good, and that is what is pleasing unto Him.

And that is what we ought to do, even if it's not in your own
13:04
favor, friends. 7 Now therefore, there is utterly a fault among
13:13
you, because you go to law one with another.

Why do you not rather take wrong?

Why do you not rather suffer yourself to be defrauded?

He's saying put down all of your pride and vanity.

Quit trying to prove to everyone that you're right.

It is such a defamation of Jesus Christ whenever the world looks

upon us and sees us not acting any different than the rest of
13:51
the world. Far be it from us to be no
13:58
different than all of the unbelievers in the world.

We need to make sure that we are upholding the Word of God above

the laws of the land. We're upholding the Word of God

over what is culturally acceptable.

We uphold the Word of God more than what is politically
14:20
correct. We uphold the Word of God more
14:24
than what social media tells us is right.

We uphold the Word of God higher than any other entity on planet
14:38
earth. Period.

There is no other authority that is higher than the word of God

over our lives. Hey, hey, you do wrong and
14:55
defraud and that your brother, so he's saying, look at you.

Look at how you have paraded yourself in the courtroom.

You think you have a case. You think you're going to take
15:08
your brother to task and show everybody how wrong he is and
15:12
how right you are and all in the instance of it all, in the midst
15:17
of it all, all you were doing is putting Christ up to public
15:24
spectacle and shame friends. And he's saying that we should
15:28
not try and be right. Our goal is to make a
15:34
difference, friends. Our goal is to be difference
15:37
makers in our communities, friends, to be light and salt,
15:42
friends, and to be different, to be set apart and to be called
15:46
out, friends. That is our goal.

Our goal is not to just prove a point and to prove that we're
15:53
right and another person is wrong.

Now I know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit
16:02
the Kingdom of God, be not deceived, neither fornicators,
16:08
nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of
16:15
themselves with mankind, and nor thieves, nor covetous, nor
16:22
drunkards, nor revilers nor extortioners shall inherit the
16:28
Kingdom of God. So verse 9 and 10, what you need
16:35
to understand here is that all of these things that he attaches
16:43
to people, this is what they find their identity in your
16:48
identity and my identity is in Christ Jesus.

And we might mess up, but that is not our identity.
16:58
Our identity is in Christ Jesus. These attributes, this thieves,
17:05
drunkards, covetous revilers, extortioners, the effeminate,
17:11
the idolaters, the fornicators, the abusers, this is their
17:16
identity, friends. And we rightfully can call
17:21
somebody's salvation into question if this is the thing
17:26
that marks their life, if they are not marked by Jesus Christ
17:33
and by all of the ways of Jesus Christ.

And this is their practice outwardly, inwardly, in every
17:43
aspect of their lives, there is a great chasm between their
17:49
salvation and the grace of God and where they find themselves
17:55
and their identity, friends. And So what we need to
17:58
understand is that for those of us who have placed our faith in

the Lord Jesus Christ, we will not find our identity in any of
18:09
these things. And though we might fall down,
18:13
we get back up, friends, and we keep running this race.

And we do not sink down into the muck and the mire, and we do not
18:22
Stew in our unlawful, unrighteous actions.

They do not define us, friends. That is not where we find our
18:36
identity. We lock eyes with the Lord Jesus
18:39
Christ and we keep running this race and he tells you in verse
18:46
11, and such were some of you, but you are washed, you are
18:54
sanctified and you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus

and by the Spirit of our God. So Paul quickly reminds them not
19:08
to look down the nose at those that are caught in sin.

If there's breath in your lungs, it is not too late, friends,
19:17
because we were all dead in our trespasses, friends.

We were all alone in our sin. We had no hope, friends.

And it looked as if everything was closing in on us and the
19:29
darkness was going to overtake us.

But by God's grace, we had enough mental fortitude and
19:38
enough wherewithal and enough reasoning to reach up and grab
19:45
His hand and allow Him to pull us up out of the muck and the
19:48
mire, out of the despair. Friends and to allow him to
19:53
place us on solid ground and we build our lives on the solid
19:58
rock. Today He reminds us of just how
20:01
far we have come. And if you think you are
20:04
standing, be very careful. You might just be slipping and
20:08
the little bit that you have he will take away.
20:11
Whenever we think that we have saved ourselves, or it is by our
20:15
cleverness, or it is by our IQ level or any of our status or
20:22
status. That saves us, friends.
20:24
The little bit that you have will be taken away from you.

You need to make sure you understand that we constantly
20:32
spill ourselves out. We do not rest in our own merit,
20:37
in our own works. We fall at the feet of Jesus
20:40
Christ. We allow Him to give us our
20:44
worth and our identity. We allow Him to give us our
20:51
destination. We allow him to give us our
20:55
worth, friends. It only comes from our
20:58
relationship with him. It is not by any of our own
21:03
doing. And that is what he reminds us
21:06
here. That we were once just like the
21:10
person that we look down the nose, that when we get to a
21:13
stoplight, we lock the doors. We were once those people
21:18
friends, and we need to remember that and that will help us to
21:22
see the world all around us the way that he does.

And then he beautifully threads the Trinity.

Within this passage. You can see Jesus our Lord the
21:42
Spirit, and you can see God the three in one, the triune nature
21:48
of God Almighty wrapped up here. And that is what saves us.

That is what brings us home, friends, is whenever we put our
21:58
faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, when we are filled with the Holy
22:03
Ghost, and when we stand before Almighty God.

Washed and cleaned and justified, Friends. 12 All
22:13
things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient.

All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under
22:25
the power of any All things are permissible, but not all things
22:31
are beneficial. And that is what you need to
22:34
understand is yes, we walk in grace and yes, by God's power,
22:42
we know that. We know that, we know that, we
22:46
know where we're going to go and we do not doubt our salvation
22:50
and we have the blessed assurance.

But what you need to understand is that you do not want to be a
23:01
stumbling block for others, even though you yourself can rest
23:06
securely and surely in your salvation.

And you do not need to doubt it, friends, but you walk in it.

And it's not a question of have you ever.
23:17
The question is, are you now? When you woke up this morning,
23:21
did you give your life over to the Lord Jesus Christ?
23:24
Or are you allowing sin to die dominate your life?
23:28
Are you allowing the voice of the enemy to dominate your life
23:32
and to separate you from God's love and goodness and mercy and
23:36
joy that He has available to you today?
23:39
Because today is the day of salvation, friends, and His
23:42
mercies are new every day. And so we come to Him every
23:45
morning and we spill ourselves out at His feet.
23:50
We give Him all of our hopes and desires.
23:53
We give Him all of our wants. We give Him all of our needs, we
23:57
give him all of our will, and we say, Lord, we want your will and
24:02
your Kingdom to come and let it shine through me today.

Friends, we're not brought under the power of any, we're only
24:13
under the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He is our King, He is our Lord, He is our Master.

The world has nothing to offer us.

Friends. Do not love the world or
24:25
anything in the world. Friends, set your eyes and set
24:29
your mind, set your heart on the Lord Jesus Christ and watch how
24:33
you're filled, overflowing. Watch how that spills over into
24:38
your house and into your neighborhoods, into your
24:40
workplaces, friends. And it will change the world if
24:44
we'll get sold out for King Jesus.
24:46
What God is looking for is one person who is completely sold
24:51
out to him, and he can use that person to change the whole
24:55
world. And let's bring about revival,
24:57
friends. And revival comes from falling
25:00
in love with the Lord Jesus Christ above sin and self. 13

meats for the belly in the belly for meats.

But God shall destroy both it and them.

Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord
25:21
and the Lord for the body. So what you need to understand
25:26
is here in Corinth, they had a little saying that was meats for
25:29
the belly in the belly for meats.

And they thought that whenever they were hungry, they would
25:34
just go get something to eat. And what he's going to show us
25:37
here in this next little section is that whenever they had sexual
25:45
needs, they just went out and got a prostitute and they didn't
25:49
see anything wrong with it. And Paul here is going to deal
25:52
with it, friends. And we need to know that God is
25:56
the Master over our bodies and that we yield them over to Him.

And that is what you need to know.

Fasting is a great way to break free from the bondage of the
26:10
body. The body will dominate the
26:13
Spirit if you let it, and it will lie to the Spirit.

And we must break free and allow the Spirit of God to have
26:22
supremacy over our bodies. 14 And God has both raised up the
26:29
Lord and will also raise up us by his own power, the same power
26:35
that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, lives inside of every
26:40
blood bought, born again believer who's sold out to the
26:45
Lord Jesus Christ. And we will rise whenever we get
26:48
pushed down into the earth. Friends, we need not fear death.

We need not fear hell, we need to fear God and watch everything

else bow. God will raise us up by the
27:04
power that lives inside of us. Holy Spirit, power break out. 15

Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ.

Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them the members
27:22
of a harlot? God forbid.

What you need to understand is that you are the sanctuary, you
27:33
are the temple of God, and the Holy Spirit lives inside of you
27:39
and He will share His glory with no one.

And far be it from us to bring idol Pagan satanic practices
27:48
into the temple of God. Think about it, friends, even
27:52
from a literal physical idea of the temple of God.

And here you are bringing your merchandise into the temple to
28:00
sell. Here you are bringing satanic
28:03
occult new age garbage into the temple.

Far be it from us, friends. You will grieve the Holy Spirit.

You will sear your conscience, friends, where He grows silent

in your life. We must kick out every unclean,
28:24
profane entity that we have allowed in, Friends.

You cannot bring the world in the world system into the temple
28:37
of God, and far be it from us as believers to be intermingled and
28:43
mixed in with pornography. Far be it from us to be
28:47
intermingled and mixed in with mammon.

Friends, we must let go of all of this that we have allowed in
28:59
to the temple and watch how when you will cleanse the temple, He

will fill it. And just remember that when you
29:10
confess to the Lord Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness, and you
29:16
will repent and you will admit that you have done things that
29:21
are unholy and that are unwise and that are unprofitable.

God will be well pleased for a fresh filling of that temple.

And that is what most of us are in desperate need of.

We have allowed so much of the world system in and we've
29:37
actually clouded and shrouded it with the guys that it is good
29:44
and that there's nothing wrong with it.

And you can see so many believers who are being pummeled
29:52
and who are being completely broke down and they are at their
29:58
wit's end. And it is because they back slid
30:04
and they compromised and they started allowing the little
30:09
things in. And it is a snowball effect that
30:12
eventually you see them plagued with depression and despondency.

You see them plagued with despair.

You see them plagued and they look no different than the rest
30:24
of the world, friends, that we must get rid of all of these

things that are coming at us and they're coming at us at
30:31
lightning speed. And if we're not able to take
30:34
them and root them out before they ever grow into a mature
30:39
tree, we are going to be overtaken as well.

It is in its infancy. It is at the beginning.

It is whenever it is just a perceived thought as it enters

your mind. Don't entertain it, friends.

Get rid of it, friends. Get it out of the temple

immediately, friends. God forbid. 16 What know you not

that he which is joined to a harlot is 1 body for two, says

he shall be 1 flesh? That is what you need to

understand. There is this exchange that

happens within sex. This is what happens when we

join ourselves to someone else. There is such an exchange and

there is so many studies that show us in the physical

realities of what happens at levels of our psyche, what

happen what happens at levels of our Physiology friends within

the psyche and within the physical and this is where you

see so many sexually transmitted disease come from.

This is where you see so many abortions spring out of.

There is not such thing as just a casual encounter friends.

That is a lie from the pits of hell.

You cannot just have relations with another and then break free

and be free in your conscience and it will never happen that

way. There is this joining that

happens of the two and he is warning US against all of the

pitfalls that the enemy is trying to lie to us and tell us

that there is nothing wrong with it and if you are the temple of
32:49
the Lord, you need to flee from sexual immorality.

Do not even go near the door. Leave your coat as she grabs

ahold of it. Leave it in her hands.

Even if it costs you your job, Even if it costs you your life,

Even if it costs you your reputation, Even if it costs

you, even if you're falsely accused.

You stand before God, you give an account to God.

Friends, that is who we are pleasing, and that is who we are

after. We do not care if this world

gives all kinds of false accusations upon us.

We stand before God Almighty, and we have a a clear and free
33:31
conscience in the sight of God. 17 But he that is joined unto
33:39
the Lord is 1 Spirit. 18 Flee fornication.

Every sin that a man does is without the body, but he that
33:53
commits fornication sins against his own body.

So that is what you need to understand is that when the

Spirit of God comes to live inside of you, He is not going
34:05
to share that space with all of the sinful, disgusting practices

of the world. It doesn't work that way.

We need to flee from it. Don't just resist it, flee from
34:22
it. If you try to resist it, it will
34:25
overtake you. It is like a snowball.

In the beginning it just looks like a very small object, but as
34:38
you start to roll it down the hill, it gains mass.

And then as it keeps going, it slips out of your hands and it
34:47
becomes uncontrollable. And we must crush it when it is
34:53
still very small, whenever it is in its infancy, we must crush
34:59
that snowball. Do not allow it to start gaining

traction down the hill. Once it becomes large enough,
35:08
it's out of control. And when you try to go and catch
35:12
it, it will crush you. We need to understand that if we
35:21
bring that stuff into the temple, it will only lead to our
35:26
destruction. 19 What know you not that your body is the temple
35:35
of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which you have of God.

You are not your own. You were bought with a high
35:47
price, friends. You do not belong to yourself.

You are a bond servant to the Lord Jesus Christ.

It's not about you, it's not about what you want, it's not

about what you desire. It's not about the way that you
36:03
think life should go. We are laid down, sold out,
36:08
lovers of the way. Friends, we only live for Christ

and to die is gain. We only live to serve and to
36:18
please our Master, not ourself and not the world and not all of
36:24
our pleasures. Friends, we live for Him.

And what you will find in that is the abundant life that you've
36:31
always wanted. The enemy lies to us and tells
36:35
us that more money is what we need.
36:37
The enemy lies and tells us that if we looked different, then we
36:42
would be happier. The enemy lies and tells us that
36:45
if we had a different house, a different car, a different
36:48
spouse, a different family, if we were single, if we were
36:51
married, if we had a different job, if we lived in a different
36:55
place, then we'd be happy. And it is lies upon lies upon
36:59
lies upon lies. What you need to understand is

that you are the temple of God, and no matter where you go, it
37:08
can be holy and it can be peaceful because we are the
37:13
peacemakers and we are the difference makers in this world.
