Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: I tell you what, Christine, the DVR and our remote
- 0:03Speaker 1: control in general was getting a workout last night.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a busy night.
- 0:07Speaker 3: I had football on.
- 0:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Then I went to the DVR and caught SNL because
- 0:11Speaker 1: I didn't see it Saturday.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Jay Brunson hosting.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Jay Brunson hosting of the New York Knicks.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Very funny. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend
- 0:17Speaker 3: at least watching the monologue.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:18Speaker 3: The monologue was very funny. And they had a couple
- 0:21Speaker 3: of great skits as well.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Then we switched over to the MTV Video Music Awards.
- 0:26Speaker 1: And that's where we kind of like, you and I...
- 0:28Speaker 1: at the same time started watching TV.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Yes, we matched up so we could see Madonna kick
- 0:32Speaker 2: off the show, right?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Sabrina Carpenter and Charlie XCX. And then Madonna and Taylor,
- 0:39Speaker 2: by the way, were up for like the same amount
- 0:40Speaker 2: of awards, nine awards apiece or 11 awards apiece. Madonna
- 0:44Speaker 2: did take home Artist of the Year.
- 0:46Speaker 3: And this is her.
- 0:47Speaker 4: I spent the last year and a half finding myself,
- 0:51Speaker 4: believing in myself, and really making the music that I
- 0:56Speaker 4: wanted to make. And to me, that really is the
- 1:00Speaker 4: definition of being an artist. And my hope for all
- 1:03Speaker 4: of you here tonight is that you spend the next
- 1:05Speaker 4: year or the next 10 years or the rest of
- 1:08Speaker 4: your life doing the same. Finding yourself and believing in yourself.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Madonna.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Thank you, Madonna.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I tell you, she's timeless. Yep. Age has been good
- 1:17Speaker 3: to her.
- 1:18Speaker 2: And Taylor, also one big. It made her the artist
- 1:23Speaker 2: with the most VMA wins in history. She won 33.
- 1:27Speaker 2: She's won 33 awards to date. I mean, there's still
- 1:30Speaker 2: plenty of time. She got that special artist director award, right?
- 1:35Speaker 2: The first time that anyone has received that award. She
- 1:38Speaker 2: also won video of the year. But here she is
- 1:40Speaker 2: accepting that special award for artist director.
- 1:43Speaker 1: The main reason why I love writing and directing music.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Videos so much is because you, the fans, make it
- 1:48Speaker 2: so much fun.
- 1:51Speaker 1: You make it so rewarding because you actually care about
- 1:55Speaker 1: what we're making. I know she's proud of all of
- 1:57Speaker 1: her awards, but there's got to be at least a
- 1:59Speaker 1: couple of awards that are in the basement and they're
- 2:01Speaker 1: covered up by shoeboxes.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I think she has such a collection at this point.
- 2:06Speaker 3: It's amazing.
- 2:07Speaker 2: She's going to lose track. But yeah, and then they
- 2:10Speaker 2: premiered Patient Zero, the video for that.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Which will play coming up as we go commercial free
- 2:15Speaker 3: for three hours.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Very nice.
- 2:17Speaker 1: We're looking for caller 10 right now. 1-800-222-1067. What do
- 2:21Speaker 1: we have, Christine Nagy?
- 2:22Speaker 2: We have got a pair of tickets to see the
- 2:24Speaker 2: Michael Jackson History Show, Saturday, October 24th at Flagstar at
- 2:29Speaker 2: Westbury Music Fair. Tickets available now at Ticketmaster.com. Or you
- 2:33Speaker 2: can give us a call.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I like the way they wrote it. It says Michael
- 2:37Speaker 1: Jackson history, but H-I-S is in capital.
- 2:40Speaker 2: So like his story.
- 2:41Speaker 3: So I guess we're right either way, right?
- 2:43Speaker 2: His story.
- 2:44Speaker 1: His story. History.
- 2:46Speaker 3: History. See for yourself.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Call or attend 1-800-222-1067.
