- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:31Today I want to share with you my personal definition of hell.
- 0:35When the person you are meets the person you could have been.
- 0:39Ouch. That one got me when I heard it
- 0:41years ago, probably many years ago now.
- 0:45I think that was a big driver for me to focus on and really
- 0:49pay attention to because I have to say it is one of the things
- 0:53that drives me forward most of all in thinking about the fact
- 0:59that, jeez, who can I be? You know, when you just stop and
- 1:03you start to think about things like that and say to yourself,
- 1:06you know, am I being the person I was meant to be or am I being
- 1:09a person that I have been conditioned to be?
- 1:14There is a huge difference between those and I think that's
- 1:19what I personally know. Everyone has their own thing but
- 1:24that they want to focus on or that they want to step into.
- 1:29But I often will see people and they say, well, I'm entitled to
- 1:35blah, blah, blah. And yeah, no one's telling you
- 1:38you're not. You can do with your life
- 1:40whatever you choose to do. You can decide you don't want to
- 1:45do any of the things to, you know, take care of yourself.
- 1:49Let's say, let's say it's a physical thing and you're like,
- 1:51I don't want to confine to the societal stuff that's out there.
- 1:57Yep, you are completely entitled to do that.
- 2:00I don't do that. When it comes to clothing and
- 2:02the things that I wear, I'm very, very, very much tomboyish.
- 2:08I guess this is the way you would call it, as I was always
- 2:10called as a kid, but I don't care 'cause it's genuinely how I
- 2:13feel. I feel best in baggy pants and
- 2:16ponytails and tank tops and sneakers.
- 2:20I mean, honestly, that is the truth.
- 2:22And I'm not confining myself to something that someone else is
- 2:27telling me I should or shouldn't do because it's mystical anyway.
- 2:31What they're putting out there is just, you don't have to hear
- 2:34it. Nobody comes to my house in the
- 2:35morning and says those things. If I'm allowing that to come in,
- 2:38that's just me allowing that to come in.
- 2:41Have I been teased about it before?
- 2:43Of course. Did it bother me at those times?
- 2:46Yes, because I was still vulnerable about it.
- 2:49But the reality is, once I heard this, you know, the definition
- 2:53of hell is when the person you are meets the person you could
- 2:56have been. I decide, you know what?
- 2:58I don't want to be the person that gets riled by that stuff.
- 3:01I don't want to be the person that lets that happen.
- 3:03You know, I have people that think it's very weird that I
- 3:06have the chickens and spoil them the way that I do and take care
- 3:09of them the way that I do That's OK.
- 3:11This is the person I choose to be and the person that I could
- 3:16have been is developing every single day.
- 3:19Choosing myself to look to greater and more expansive
- 3:24thoughts and things to do for myself is part of what makes me
- 3:31just feel excited about life. So when I when I think about how
- 3:36we have this opportunity, we are given a huge opportunity being
- 3:40here and growing and we are given this awareness that the
- 3:47person you are right in this minute is not the person that
- 3:51you have to stay. Every day you get to change.
- 3:53Every day you get to shift for better work, for worse.
- 3:56You can grow, you can stagnate. All of it is choices.
- 4:02You can make this be whatever you want, but that phrase, that
- 4:08one little phrase, the person you are meets the, you know, the
- 4:13definition of hell is when the person you are meets the person
- 4:15you could have been. I think about that and I'm like,
- 4:18well, who do I think I could have been?
- 4:21And I stop and I really say to myself, well, am I living on
- 4:24track or have I just kind of stepped into a place in the
- 4:27world where I'm accepting what's there?
- 4:32And, and the second I start to think about accepting things,
- 4:35I'm like, Oh, I don't know, I want to, I want to examine that.
- 4:38And that's why it's so important to examine this for yourself.
- 4:41You know, often times I'm in the middle of doing a, a program
- 4:46right now while I was in the middle of one and then I'm
- 4:48switching to another one because I'm pushing myself really,
- 4:53really hard. Maybe that's why I have this
- 4:55damn cold. But but in any event, I'm
- 4:59pushing myself physically because I was getting these
- 5:02messages from my body saying that I had, I was, I was
- 5:07experiencing pain in my knees and I wasn't, I was, while I
- 5:11walk constantly, one could say, oh, it's because you're pushing
- 5:14yourself walking too hard maybe. But I didn't want to accept
- 5:17that. So I was like, no, the person I
- 5:20really want to be wants to be this, this really fit person.
- 5:24So I just cut all these things out of my diet with a little
- 5:29help from my friends, and I cut them all out and I'm like, OK,
- 5:33so you know, here's the thing. This is a experiment.
- 5:37I'm experimenting right now. If it doesn't work, I can always
- 5:40go back and do something different because the person I
- 5:42want to be wants to be healthy. The person that I think I could
- 5:46be wants to be even healthier. Stripping things out of my diet
- 5:49has taught me that the pain was a message from my body saying
- 5:54you got to do away with some of this sugar.
- 5:56And guess what, the sugar is gone and the pain is gone.
- 6:00Wow, what a concept. And I love that that happened
- 6:04because it just reinforces, again, interpretation of
- 6:08messages matters. So I'm going to challenge you
- 6:11guys to really think about that definition of hell because it
- 6:15can affect so many areas of your life when you sit and really ask
- 6:20yourself about it. You know the definition of hell
- 6:23is when the person you are meets the person you could have been.
- 6:27What are you going to do with that 'cause I don't ever want to
- 6:30get there and have God say to me, listen, if you hadn't just
- 6:33been so freaking stubborn and you had done this, you would
- 6:36have been skyrocketing. Well guess what?
- 6:39I am not taking that chance. My friends.
- 6:41I hope you have a blessed day and I will see you all tomorrow.
- 6:45Bye.
