- 0:55o n dot com slash Treehouse on Air, please do so because that is
- 1:00our mea culpa, our attempt at clearing our names in the death of Richard
- 1:06Simmons. So it's important that you listen or watch the Treehouse Plus episode.
- 1:14We did not kill Richard Simmons, and all of our reasons why Raj is
- 1:17a little we're not sure on that one. That's that's part of the investigation
- 1:19that we put forth in that mini episode. It's also our first step in
- 1:26establishing the rights to the story sotflix, I I give them to you.
- 1:34Uh. So this is in Texas. It's binding because Trey's dad started that
- 1:38president president of a binding thing in Texas. So I give you both the
- 1:44rights, uh to the story. I'm not saying how many percentage points to
- 1:49the two of you. So you guys fight that out in court. Fair
- 1:52enough. See what he's doing, Trey, he's he's still he's still the
- 1:57mastermind. That's right. Be careful. We don't want him to Yeah,
- 2:01I wish I will on one of us, certainly. Not. No,
- 2:06you guys should look you guys both look great. Shut up, you take
- 2:09that back. No, you guys look healthy. You shut up that that's
- 2:14how you do things. You are aggressively saying something and the person ends up
- 2:20injured or dead. Take it all back. I'm telling us we look terrible.
- 2:23I can't tell it to take it Aboauck I mean Dan, I mean
- 2:24you're always working out. You look great, You eat well. Tray,
- 2:28same thing, fit looking great. You both are wearing black T shirts.
- 2:30This is this is nice. I mean, you guys look good. That's
- 2:34all I'm saying. I think we look John, just tell us we look
- 2:36John just No, I'm just you guys look flushed like, full of life
- 2:38and energy. And I mean one hundred years more for you guys. All
- 2:43right, I gotta make a note now, get insurance policy for terrort.
- 2:46Yeah A numbered has said, so yeah, no, No, the only
- 2:52reason I'm saying that is you guys' policy just cleared, so good. All
- 2:54right, anyway, welcome in the tree house. Let's get stupid. Speaking
- 3:02of stupid, is there anything dumber than air travel? And actually I shouldn't
- 3:07say dumber than air travel, because air travel itself is amazing, the fact
- 3:13that we as a species have found a way to fly, right, But
- 3:21then we always balance ourselves out with every accomplishment as a species, right,
- 3:28So like we'll create or invent or discover something, and then the rest of
- 3:37us will do everything we can to ruin it. And air travel is a
- 3:40great example because men, women, child being able to get in a metal
- 3:47tube and fly anywhere on the planet is an amazing feat. But then greedy
- 3:54a holes decide to charge us an arm and a leg for it and then
- 3:58find all these different ways to ruin it, right, So that's that's what
- 4:03we do as a species. Will do something great, and then we kneecap
- 4:06it right and make it kind of terrible at the same time. Like we've
- 4:11got internet. Internet's amazing, and what do we do with it? We
- 4:14share stupid memes. Yeah, and that's actually a good part of the what
- 4:18we do. I didn't want to go too dark. I'm just like the
- 4:23idea of the internet. Back in the nineties when we were all kind of
- 4:25learning about what this Internet thing was. It's like, Oh, it's going
- 4:27to be this great, It's an information super highway. And then it's and
- 4:30then it's me sharing gifts of Kermit the fraud sipping tea. Well, if
- 4:35there's if there's anything that humanity does, is we dune it down. Yes,
- 4:40that's the And then and then that's what we do. You know what
- 4:43it is. We draw on the cave walls because the chief of the tribe
- 4:46thousands of years ago said, Hey, instead of sleeping out in the rain,
- 4:51let's go in that cave, let's do that. And then and then
- 4:55click cluck whatever decided. You know what, that's not good enough. This
- 4:58place needs to be decorated. So I'm gonna draw my dick on it.
- 5:01Yeah. Yeah, And then somebody comes somebody like click clack abbot comes by
- 5:06and goes, you can't draw dicks, No, no more dicks. And
- 5:12then he makes the internet, doesn't you can't have porn in Texas. And
- 5:15then and then tum tum from the back of the cave screams out, hey,
- 5:18I bet, I'm sorry. I can't, I can't resist, I
- 5:23know, but yeah, so, I mean we we do take wonderful creations
- 5:29and then poop on them. So and here's another great example of that.
- 5:34On Friday, air passengers around the world faced delays, cancelations, and problems
- 5:42checking in as airports and airlines were caught up. Then a massive IT outage
- 5:46that also affected industries ranging from banks to media companies. Some would say those
- 5:50last two were one and the same. Some airlines and airports said they were
- 5:54back online, with the US government holding out hopes that the transportation system would
- 5:58be back to normal by sat hope. Out of over one hundred and ten
- 6:02thousand scheduled commercial flights on Friday two thousand, six hundred ninety one had been
- 6:08canceled globally, and more were expected to be called off. This is and
- 6:13this is you know from this is an older story from earlier in the day
- 6:15on Friday. And I'm sure you're wondering, well, how is it that
- 6:18an entire air travel IT system can go so wrong so quickly, all in
- 6:28one day, And if you think about it, you know the answer.
- 6:31It was a Microsoft update that makes me. That makes me way more happy.
- 6:43No, here's I mean, it's not. It's just I'm like,
- 6:46hey, well, my people, so Microsoft is a number one tech company
- 6:51for hiring Indian people. So you know some guy who just spilled his massolity
- 6:56on his keyboard that are secretly the airlines has still been running Windows ninety eight
- 7:04when we all know they should have stuck with ninety five. But had they
- 7:12been running Windows all the planes would have fallen out of it. Yeah,
- 7:19but it really was. It was likely due to a glitch in Microsoft software
- 7:25used globally. That should be that should be on the when you when you
- 7:30book your flight now from now on, would instead of like would you like
- 7:34a you know, a more leg room or you know, do you want
- 7:39to in flight meal, it should be like, do you want a plane
- 7:42with the updated software? And you know who wouldn't way to charge more for
- 7:46that? Yes, spirit, that's right, you can run your risk.
- 7:54I mean this could be an updated plane. It might not be an updated
- 7:57plane, we don't know, but if you want for fifty five five dollars
- 8:00more, you can be on an updated plane. And I think some of
- 8:03the other airlines have realized that this model is working well for Spirit, so
- 8:07they're trying to take some inspiration and use it on their own systems, like
- 8:13all the other airlines that use the Boeing planes, saying, well, if
- 8:16you want the plane to get there in one piece, that's gonna be an
- 8:20extra fee. Do you want the door to open mid flight, then that's
- 8:26you don't okay, thirty five bucks because two Spirit Airlines is credit. Yeah,
- 8:31they don't use Boeing aircraft. Right, they still use the right brother's
- 8:35plane. They're still using that model, and they're still using their right brother's
- 8:46corpses to fly it. That's the only plane. You gotta push start the
- 8:50Captain's like you guys, push, I'm gonna pop the clutch. Don't forget
- 8:56to done. I mean, I joke. I just flew them to Philadelphia
- 9:01on tip. The flight was the only thing was the flight was delayed an
- 9:03hour coming back from Philadelphia. Everything else great. Uh see, they got
- 9:09you there. That's really all they promise is we'll get you there at some
- 9:16point, right, at some point you'll get there. Uh yeah, so
- 9:20yeah, so right. The only thing that they can say is we won't
- 9:26They will try not to lose your luggage and Uh, well, we'll get
- 9:28you there at some point. And I appreciate Spirit for that. They're like,
- 9:33hey, our chair suck nothing, leans back, everything costs. I'm
- 9:39waiting for them to charge for the bathroom. That's gonna that's gonna be next.
- 9:43But yeah, I mean, and keep in mind that it's it's not
- 9:46just you know, customers that feel betrayed by the airlines. Sometimes the employees
- 9:52themselves don't feel in lockstep with their employer mm hmm, like the gate agents.
- 10:00So even so, if you've been frustrated on any airline, especially a
- 10:05Spirit Airlines flight, chances are the employees are as well. And I have
- 10:11a great example of that that happened recently at the Hollywood Burbank Airport at one
- 10:18of the Spirit Airlines gates. Oh yeah, I don't know what aircraft.
- 10:41I know what I have. I'm gonna be honest, I don't know what
- 10:43aircraft. I don't know what's going on. You guys won't give me a
- 10:46minute. Please give me a minute. Oh I think trade just fell in
- 10:54love. Look at his face. That's my kind of lady. Frustrated and
- 11:01angry, m crazy enough to talk to a gate full of airline passengers that
- 11:09you don't know what they have in their bags. Yeah, she's taking chances.
- 11:13She's about to start spinning and levitate. Well, then some of the
- 11:18passengers could ride her to their destination. She's go see word away from an
- 11:24interncontinental flight, and we don't mean Concord. Eight three three Cook df W
- 11:46is the phone number to reach Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration for
- 11:50your free roof inspection. Let's get Daniel into the treehouse now. And I'm
- 11:54going to ask you a question that I asked Raj and Tray not that long
- 11:56ago, and that is, if you had to fight to the death,
- 12:01either a meth field attack squirrel or Gary Busey, choose wisely, we'll both
- 12:07scare the hell out of me. They should. I've seen some recent pictures
- 12:13of Gary Busey, and goodness, gracious, man, I don't know what
- 12:16he's done, but I'm like, this is a prime example why I'm gonna
- 12:20quit drinking. I mean, and wear a helmet while riding a motorcycle.
- 12:24Yes, so, oh man, you know those squirrels are Those squirrels are
- 12:30nasty, and especially a meth field squirrel. You know, those are big
- 12:35rodents and people just if they think they're fluffy and cute. But people don't
- 12:37look at them like they're rats. You know. People look at a rat,
- 12:41they're like, oh, disgusting. At the squirrel like, oh,
- 12:43oh cute, They're like, no, they're the same thing. One just
- 12:46has a big fluffy tae. Yeah, And I'm thinking that they could jump
- 12:50and maybe get me in some places I don't want to get I'm gonna take
- 12:52Gary. I'm gonna take Gary Busey on if you if you have issues with
- 12:56your roof, whether it's a meth field attack, squirrels making holes in your
- 13:00shingles, or your sowfits, or if Gary Busey's on your roof tearing it
- 13:05up. Whatever the case is, Daniel Cook can come in after the fact,
- 13:07after they're gone, and he'll fix it for you. Eight three three

- 14:03On the heels of the super frustrated Spirit Airlines gate agents, which I
- 14:09understand because I experienced that myself recently when I tried to come to Vermifest last
- 14:16month and I couldn't get there. I could tell the gate agents themselves were
- 14:20frustrated because they weren't being told what was happening yet all these flights around us
- 14:24being canceled and they were told, we're delayed, we're waiting on flight crew,
- 14:28We're just delayed. We're just waiting on the flight crew. As soon
- 14:31as they get here, we'll get everybody on board and we'll get you on
- 14:33your way. And then like fifteen minutes later they said they just told us
- 14:35the flight's canceled. We're very sorry everybody. So these companies seem to leave
- 14:39the gate agents in the dark, and I get it as a traveler,
- 14:41you're mad, you want to scream at somebody, but I would. I'm
- 14:46making a big assumption here, But it's not the gate agent's fault. They're
- 14:52not the ones deciding whether or not you get to travel. They are literally
- 14:56the messenger that you're trying to kill. Is this you backpedaling kind of sucking
- 15:01up a little bit because you're traveling next week and you know, yeah,
- 15:03so I couldn't change my Spirit Airlines flight to Texas next week. I'm sorry
- 15:09this week. See that's how jacked up my am mumbrane, because it's like,
- 15:13Okay, we're moving and we're coming to Texas and doing all these things
- 15:16at the same time. I'm not even sure what day it is. I'm
- 15:20not even gonna ask. It doesn't matter. I'm not even sure what day
- 15:22it is. But I fly this week, and because of the crap I
- 15:24went through with the last time I tried flying Spirit, we already had these
- 15:28tickets books, so we couldn't change them becacause, of course, if you
- 15:31want to change your flight from Spirit, you got to pay extra for that.
- 15:35So yeah, I get to fly again this week and hopefully I actually
- 15:37get there before you get on that plane. You need to do whatever you
- 15:48need to do. I don't know if it's church, what, cleanse yourself,
- 15:54but you need to leave your power issues on the island. Don't bring
- 15:58that juju back to Texas. Urkott Orkott won't have it. How is all
- 16:07the islands not island islands wide power generation issues my fault? How is that
- 16:14my fault? Don't put that on meatrin home the same way you know,
- 16:18Roch kills people, you kill grids. Okay, Look, just because my
- 16:23house in Carrollton when we were living in Texas got frozen out by ice apocalypse
- 16:30back in twenty twenty one, doesn't mean I had anything to do with it.
- 16:33And we have it. We in Texas have not had any grid issues
- 16:37since you departed for the islands. Now, since you've got to the islands,
- 16:41you've had plenty of power issues. That is not my fault. These
- 16:45islands had power issues long before I got here. They only just seem to
- 16:48coincidentally have gotten worse since my arrival. I've never heard about anything before,
- 16:52but now you know, you make fun of WAPA and everything else, and
- 16:57it just keeps getting worse and worse. You need to make peace with the
- 17:00cut, say you're sorry, sacrifice a chicken. I don't know, just
- 17:06do something. Go see the goat Man. Yes, there anything else I
- 17:11can do besides a public apology to rkot, Like, like, is there
- 17:15some other cleansing I can do that that doesn't involve that. Look, I'd
- 17:19be willing to bring in that little old lady from the Poltergeist. I'm happy
- 17:23to do that. You want me cleanse? Do you want me to go
- 17:29through a river of poop and stuff like Andy Duframe did in Shah Shank and
- 17:34come out the other and clean and arriving in Dallas. I just want you,
- 17:40I I just want you to make peace with the power gods so we
- 17:44don't have because right now I feel like the minute you get here blackout.
- 17:48Mm hmm. What if I took the fire hose like Rambo did in First
- 17:52Blood? Would that would that cleanse me? To your satisfaction? I think
- 17:56Roger's right. Go see the goat Man. Yeah, yeah, by uh?
- 18:00Or one of the you know, one of the I don't chicken lady,
- 18:03a chicken lady or yeah, goat man, the swinger guy on the
- 18:07boat that makes jewelry. You know, that's that. That was nothing about
- 18:14that tray was going to be clean. That was that was going to be
- 18:18a very dirty thing. Uh what if? What? What if this?
- 18:25What if I found a way to divert our connecting flight up north so that
- 18:32way I could cleanse myself in the in the waters of Lake Minnetonka before flying
- 18:38to df W Are you are you flying into Florida again? Ye? Yeah,
- 18:44knock their power out just just you. Yeah, and Florida for us.
- 18:48But when and then when you're taking that connecting flight to here, you
- 18:53leave that behind, You leave all the power outages in Florida. Yeah,
- 18:57Well, while you're in Florida, smoke some meth, run naked through a
- 19:00trailer park, you know, scream at the gods, and then and then
- 19:04come to Dallas and you clean Yeah, absolutely, or just shed all of
- 19:10it in Florida. That's right, that's right, like the pythons in the
- 19:14Everglades do. Yeah, you're gonna get baptized in bath salts like that's what
- 19:18you're gonna That's what you gotta do. And you got to feed a squirrel
- 19:25meth. That's what you have to do right there, that's your penance.
- 19:29You have to dunk yourself in bath salts, feed a feed a squirrel meth
- 19:33naked h and then run through the airport under your onto the flight yelling I'm
- 19:41free, I'm Danny, I'm free. And then don't hit the door with
- 19:45your head as hard as you can because you don't understand height and like you
- 19:51may have grown, we don't know those the doors may have gotten smaller.
- 19:53I'm just combining all of your childhood things and every news story we have into
- 19:57one cleansing ritual. We'll hang on. There's one more here, because we
- 20:02are making our connecting flight in Fort Lauderdale. And there's anything that is possible
- 20:08to happen in Florida at the Fort Lauderdale Airport, it will happen. It's
- 20:14like Murphy's Law is an airport, right. So just last week there was
- 20:19an altercation at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. I'm not sure if you guys heard
- 20:25this or saw this. I have not heard this audio. I've only saved
- 20:29it on my phone. I've seen the video, but I have not heard
- 20:33the actual audio of this. But this was actual audio. Of a girlfriend
- 20:37screaming at her boyfriend at the Fort Lauderdale Airport after going through security. Now,
- 21:10keep in mind that this little altercation is happening in my living room.
- 21:23D It's happening in my dreams. This this, this would be from your
- 21:30bedroom. Let's be I happen to know exactly where this young lady is screaming
- 21:38at her boyfriend inside the Fort Lauderdale Airport. I've been to that airport enough
- 21:42times that I know the exact chairs they're sitting in. I know that just
- 21:48off camera to the right is a very lovely display of artwork done by airport
- 21:55employees and their children. I'm pretty sure the little cleaning person down the hallway
- 22:04headed towards Terminal G by the way I've seen her. But this is the
- 22:11kind of stuff that happens in the Fort Lauderdale Airport. That poor boyfriend,
- 22:25and that's her screaming at somebody recording that poor man. Yeah, I would
- 22:48just love it if he just looked at him, was like, I don't
- 22:48know you are you? Maybe that's where he should go to T s A
- 22:57and say, uh uh, some someone packed this thing. I was unaware
- 23:04for Mesa'd be like that's on you, man. We don't get paid enough
- 23:11for this. You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online a treehouse on
- 23:29air dot com. Let's get Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now phone
- 23:41number two one four thirty six, eight thirty eight thirty eight for any and
- 23:44all of those plumbing wants and needs and the website of course, Brooks Plumbing
- 23:47Texas dot com. Now. Jacqueline is a dog lover, she's a horse
- 23:51lover, she's a plumbing lover when it comes to the business world, and
- 23:55she also loves to give back. What did you do recently, Jacqueline,
- 23:59to help about your community? We filled a horse trailer because that's what we
- 24:04had access to at the time, full of blankets, pillows, umbrellas,
- 24:10ponchos, and towels and took them to the Dallas Veterans Resource Center on Lancaster
- 24:17and donated to them. The Veterans Resource Center the VRC has a bunch of
- 24:23different kind of arms of what it does, and one of the things that
- 24:26it does is it has an outreach for homeless veterans in the Dallas part of
- 24:32the Metroplex. There's kind of a similar facility in Arrant County, but really
- 24:37cool. I like that organization a lot. And it all started with this
- 24:40guy. His name is Kenneth, and Kenneth spent his time as a retiree
- 24:45just volunteering to give rides to physically disabled veterans from their homes to the VA
- 24:49for their appointments. And it grew from Kenneth in a very sketchy looking van
- 24:55to a whole facility that now offers free of charge. Well, they certificate
- 25:00training two veterans that are struggling so they can go out and get a job.
- 25:03So this facility feeds and has facilities for homeless veterans to shower and come
- 25:10get things that they need, all the way down to welding training, and
- 25:14they also have for any veterans in the in the audience. It's very hard
- 25:18to get a hold of the VA, and they have full time employees that
- 25:21do nothing but bridge the gap and help you get through to the right department
- 25:23in the VA to get the benefits that you need. So they're great advocates
- 25:27for veterans who are both struggling and who just need help on the phone,
- 25:32because being on hold at the VA makes you want to throw your phone out
- 25:34of the window, just gone. I did it. It's terrible. Schuld.
- 25:37Not only make sure you're taken care of, but her community as well.

- 26:18you to them, and thank you to you for joining us today. We
- 26:21appreciate it. Today is one of those days where I have had a difficult
- 26:26time choosing what my favorite story of the day is. So I'm gonna let
- 26:30you guys fight it out, all right. So here is submission number one,
- 26:42an attempted murder. Suspect urinated on the statue of the Virgin Mary at
- 26:49a church and then ran over a bicyclist twice compelling not once, twice.
- 27:02I like it. This is Lagrange, Illinois. A person urinated on a
- 27:08Lagrange, Illinois church statue then twice rammed a bicyclist who was taking a photo
- 27:14of the incident. The suspect was identified as forty three year old Leelu Reader
- 27:19of Chicago Ridge. The suspect, whose gender was listed as unknown, probably
- 27:25because the officers didn't want to check, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated
- 27:30battery, and criminal property damage. Yeah, it really is a full day,
- 27:37you're right, tri Yeah, I mean they do say bad things come
- 27:41in threes. I don't know there was a statue of the Virgin of Guadaloupe
- 27:49in Lagrange like that. Oh, I don't know if it's the statue of
- 27:55Guadeloupe, but I mean it's a Virgin Mary statue. Virgin Mary statue,
- 27:57I don't know. I didn't know that there was one of them? Was
- 28:00there? And look Range at a Catholic church? Sure, yeah, Mary's
- 28:06statues all over the place. They also got them in the stained glass up
- 28:07with the apostles. Yeah, oh yeah, Okay, I mean I don't.
- 28:11I don't. I don't frequent the churches there or or peon things outside.
- 28:17So well then you ain't living. Having gone to Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic
- 28:25School in Dallas for fourth and fifth grade, I can tell you that there
- 28:29are churches outside of Mexico, especially the Catholic ones, that have Virgin Mary
- 28:33statues in them. Gotcha. Okay, although it does seem to be the
- 28:38closer you get to the equator, is is where those statues have a tendency
- 28:42to cry, especially tears of blood. Okay, I don't think there's been
- 28:47a Virgin Mary statue crying tears of blood in Ohio that I'm aware of.
- 28:53Well, let this girl hit it with her car. Let's see what happens.
- 28:57See, I don't know if it's a girl. That could be a
- 29:00guy. Isn't it the name of the girl on the Fifth Element or whatever
- 29:04that was? Yeah, that was definitely a girl. Yeah, because based
- 29:10on the mugshot of this individual, you don't want to see him wearing that
- 29:12Fifth Element outfit. But it wouldn't be shocking, It would not be shock
- 29:19yet, So I'll tell you. I'm going to show you the mug shot
- 29:22of Leelu Reader, the forty three year old attempted murder suspect who pissed on
- 29:27the statue of the Virgin Mary and then ran over a cyclist twice. But
- 29:32I'm not sure if you're prepared for it. All right, okay, all
- 29:34right, could be just a moment. We pull up said mug shot of
- 29:38the murder suspect and here we go. Oh yeah, is it just me
- 29:47or does this look like our buddy Jerry called? Well, if he made
- 29:49a few different life decisions, that's what he looked like, if he would
- 29:56have stopped collecting his toenails, to which Jerry would say, this is why
- 30:00he must continue. Do we know if Jerry's adopted? We just found his
- 30:07dad, but must run in the family, because I mean, it was
- 30:12through the show that his son found him, so I think it would make
- 30:21sense. Although I'm actually pretty sure Jerry's older than forty three, so that
- 30:27would make Leelu here younger than him his offspring. Maybe he's got another kid
- 30:34running around he didn't know about. Wow, that is a good God.
- 30:41He's yeah, he's mad, he's made some rough decisions or is it a
- 30:47he I can't tell. Well. Again, the police officers left gender unknown
- 30:52because again I don't think they wanted to. I searched that much. It
- 30:56probably depends on who he's getting the mes from and how bad he needs it.
- 31:07Talk about gender roles fluid. Also, there's fluid on the groundle louse
- 31:25whatever you need it to be leaking? Oh lord, oh boy. Now
- 31:38I'll say because Lee Lou's by bar. But what if what if that was
- 31:45its plan all along? Yeah, that's when you know what's bad. When
- 31:51the inmates are like, please know leelud today, please no, please give
- 31:56me solitary. We can't be in here with that ding just peas on everything.
- 32:07It's like a cat and heat that smells like you gets on everything.
- 32:24You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online, that Treehouse on air dot
- 32:30com. You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online, that Treehouse on
- 32:46air dot com. Don't forget about the Treehouse pool party this Saturday at the
- 32:53Fraternal Order of Eagles. That's this Saturday, July twenty seventh, at the
- 33:00Foe Pull on our Turo Drive in Dallas for with people. I promise we
- 33:05will do a road show closer to you. But I don't know of any
- 33:08any fun public pools or semi private public pools like the Foe in Fort Worth.
- 33:15If you know of one, please let me know. We'll see if
- 33:16we can set something up another time. But this road show because it's hot
- 33:22and because I like the Foe pool and they have good setup with food and
- 33:27drinks and stuff, and they were willing to take us. So that's uh.
- 33:30Those are those are some of the big you know, requirements that we
- 33:32have for doing a road show. Is one that had to be we need
- 33:35consent. Location comes after that. They have to be able to want us,
- 33:43yes, and we too have to want them. You know. It's
- 33:45I gotcha. Yeah. Okay, So I told you about the Lagrange,
- 33:52Illinois man who pissed on the Virgin Mary and then ran over a bicyclist twice.
- 33:55So that is option number one as far as best worry of the day.
- 34:00M h Are you prepared for option number two? Mm hmm. Okay,
- 34:07it's gonna beat LEELU. Sounds like something that happens often, but let's
- 34:17find out. Disney has changed the name of one of its decades old characters
- 34:29after being deemed offensive and derogatory. All right, now, this is one
- 34:34of the characters that is a lesser known in the Disney universe. It's not
- 34:39you know, Ariel the Mermaid, it's not Sleeping Beauty, it's not Cinder
- 34:43Well and none of those m This is farther down the chain of Disney characters.
- 34:50And when you have as many characters as Disney does, it can take
- 34:52a long time to go through the list of offenses and then try to right
- 34:58those wrongs. Mm hm. So they've managed now to go down the list
- 35:02all the way to the Country Bear Jamboree bears, and now they're starting to
- 35:08write some of those wrongs. Okay. Following a seven month refurbishment at Disney
- 35:15World, one of the bears from the Country Bear Jamboree, named liver Lips
- 35:22mcgrawl, has gone under a name change. The attraction first opened its doors
- 35:37back in nineteen seventy one, featuring eighteen bears performing old country songs, and
- 35:43according to the Disney Inside the Magic blog, the bear's name was considered derogatory
- 35:47to alcoholics. Yes that I was waiting the decision to remove liver Lips mcgowl.
- 36:00Sorry, I messed that up. The decision to remove Liverlips mcgrowel was
- 36:04driven by concerns over the character's name. Liver lips is said to be associated
- 36:08with excessive alcohol consumption leading to liver damage. And just to see if you
- 36:15think there's any truth to this, I'm going to show you a photo of
- 36:21lizard Lips mcgrowl from the Country Bear Jamboree band to see if you think there's
- 36:24any accuracy to the physical appearance to the name liver lips mcgrowl. Okay,
- 36:40and the name was offensive. It's funny to see a bear playing a ukulele
- 36:51that's an animatronic, especially hysterical. When I look at the lips in question
- 36:55and think I've seen this on a human before. I don't understand what do
- 37:07you mean? I don't understand how this is offensive because liver lips is derogatory
- 37:14towards alcoholics. I mean, Trey, are you offended right now? You're
- 37:20the You're the closest person I can ask. The last guy died, so
- 37:30I don't know if he'd be offended if I called him liver lips mcgrawl or
- 37:35not. That might have been the first step Dan to get them help.
- 37:55Uh you know, I know, I because I didn't know if this was
- 38:00animatronics, people in costume, furry gay guys so liver lips no, I
- 38:08mean, uh, I have noticed you started licking your lips a lot in
- 38:14the last minute or so, I mean slurry mcbear, Like, what are
- 38:22the other names in the country bear Jamboree? Is Hepsie McGee one when you
- 38:28look at as well, pancreat, Titus Pete, Jaundice, Jerry, Ladies
- 38:40and gentlemen cross Steve are they is the whole Jamboree drunk? I mean,
- 38:52that's kind of the assumption maybe on somebody's but maybe that was just maybe that
- 38:59was just limit deliver lips. I'm not sure how Lupus o'furrey feels about it.
- 39:08And they're worried about that. They still have that whole song of the
- 39:14South thing. Yeah, there is that, some of them. Yeah,
- 39:20nobody gonnaddress the Donald Duck still doesn't wear pants. Some of the other bears
- 39:27in the country Bear Jamboree. Uh, there's the sunbonnets. Okay, there's
- 39:34Tricksy Saint Clair. Oh, that's offensive tors. There's a there's Wendell Well
- 39:45that's just offensive. There's Melvin Buff and Max. There's Henry liver Lips mcgrowl,
- 39:57who, by the way, his name has been that hairpiece that liver
- 40:01Lips wears. It's far more offensive. Yeah, so they changed his name
- 40:07to Romeo mcgrow But I feel like it should have been Conway because it looks
- 40:14a lot like a Conway twitty pompador type of thing. Yeah. Uh,
- 40:17but I do wonder though, one of the other Country Bear Jamboree bears,
- 40:22if they're gonna look at changing its name because it's offensive, is the one
- 40:24named big Awl. Should we ask him? Tray? So there you have
- 40:52it. The Country Bear Jamboree ride at disney World is gone woke. Thank
- 40:59god that problem solved. We can all go about our lives now, all
- 41:04right. Thanks for hanging out with us inside the Treehouse. We will see
- 41:07you Saturday at the Treehouse Pool Party at the Fraternal Order of Eagles on our
- 41:10turo Drive in Dallas one to four pm live taping of this here show from

- 41:20and we will be there hanging out with you. Come have some fun
- 41:22with us. Bathing suit's options. Wait, no, swimming is optional,
