- 0:10until I was really well within my journey the journey that I had realized doesn't start until you're actually and promises you make to yourself well I can blame a lot of things I can go back to the day when you had the seven I think it was seven nations study Ansel Keys believe it or not he came into the idea via whatever research he did about how sugar um this is back in the early seventies that being the case me being born in 69 right my mom was always trying to lose that 20 to 30 pounds so I could say that's the reason I was fat and it did start so instead of eggs and meat and that sort of thing it was all 100 calorie packs so when you're a little kid and you're eating that way I mean it really comes down to the fact that you have other people that are potentially been feeding you and maybe you've yes as a child you've been sneaking food and going behind everybody's back and eating as I used to do I used to be very good at going and finding that vending machine with Cokes and having a pocket full of change and just going for it so absolutely that addictive process started earlier where's the blame why did that make me fat well entire bowls of frosted flakes and I'm not talking about the serving whatever that serving size is oh the whole bowl folks with extra sugar I get that I'm thankful that that didn't take me on a diabetic turn then and I was older when that when that came into play but even that didn't really change what I wanted so then I look back and you know I say why there's a lot of things maybe you have those things then you have a childhood stress then maybe you went through something horrible some kind of a complete nightmare in life and that does happen to people and then maybe you said well that one thing that I used to eat when I was a kid whenever I was sad in my room crying under the covers so there's that maybe that is a reason maybe the abuse you suffered as a child equates to your your adult obesity I don't know if those reasons help fix it it's you know you know they're not eating right nobody's giving me a chance I've been trying and and it's not helping you know of course not but it's at that point when you're an adult it becomes most of it becomes your choice and I say most of it because the addicted process is pretty strong is it a problem when somebody's addicted to something a problem of themselves or willpower or but I do know this and I think you do too my past my bad past it doesn't help me I'm not gonna want to touch it again with the other things that have happened in my past so I try to leave that trauma where belongs just understanding that if I need it as a warning for something I'm about to do that I did then that caused a problem I'll try not to do it that being the case I would say this you have a lot of failure in trying to lose your body fat and I say trying you know try not either do or do not is Yoda told the young Skywalker is he's trying to levitate the x wing fighter out of the swamp but don't try I wish that would have worked with me it didn't in fact when I started to understand it was really me a logical thing where everybody told me since I was this high and this big around that if you miss a meal in fact you're going to basically ruin yourself by not eating and then as you get older that equates to if you're not eating you're losing muscle but then I do my research and it seems it seems to make sense that if you're using your muscle that's probably the last thing your body is gonna get rid of if you have extra fat and then I did more research and then it would seem this is very simplistic but it would seem that fat is stored on your body to be able to use at times when you don't have food my research has LED me to believe that is and Peter Atea said something like he would propose not he swearing to it but basically during fasting your body prepares everything it needs to power you through the day now of course everything it needs is one thing you tell yourself my god I've grown in this into this habitual person who has to eat this much who has to eat at this time who has to eat this type of food who has to say yes to everybody that wants to feed them and so on you have to step back out of yourself and maybe inspect what's happening around you but as far as the addiction addictive process once you become an adult then they say you should have a choice if you're looking at your past as I was using that as an excuse I already do a good enough job sabotaging my success all by myself without even having to remember the past but a lot of that too is is programming if you get up in the morning and as your daily practice it's the same whatever it may be maybe you get up and the first thing you do is you grab your phone probably not the best move but maybe that's what you do after you do that for a time that's what you do unless you change it I mean I'm gonna put my phone on another nightstand or another room and I can even have it next to me I'm gonna go back to an old fashioned alarm clock that has that crappy buzzer and that snooze button on top that's what I'm gonna go to and I'm not even gonna put that next to my bed I'm gonna put it somewhere where when it starts going off with that horrific racket I gotta get my butt out of the bed to shut it off now I might go back in the bed go back to sleep and usually when you get up and out of the bed it's like really and especially when you get older it's like really now I have to go try to sleep again so these are little things you can do to break yourself out of the habit the same thing goes with food and where you are and I know oh yeah Connor sounds so simple all you have to do is just not worry about it no just take your past and bury it really far down deep so it comes out and hurts you in a different way later no I'm not talking about that I'm talking about really just kind of you you're you're fat you're obese there's a reason you are whether you're shoveling too much into your mouth and not that could be one of it and you do this over time you're not gonna go out and put on well you might be able to put on a pound or two in a day that would be a lot of food maybe three pounds but some of those super fat people if you happen to be one that are 6 700 pounds their maintenance is eight to 10 count 8 to 10,000 calories a day so at some point they were eating maybe half a pizza or maybe a pizza that grows into three or four pizzas any human being should know that it doesn't make sense sitting down eating a gallon of ice cream an entire large pizza even if you were to tell them do what do I was to do what I was to do the more people try to correct my behaviour the more I pushed against it and the more and this is another weird thing the more I would I'm showing them getting worse so that was a little bit of immaturity that had to be dealt with too realizing that well this is really about me I mean and wanting to give me sugar and you know baking say that's great but really I've probably already had it and if at least at this stage the way that I'm feeling now I wouldn't give this up for anything you owe it to yourself to feel like that once maybe you've had moments in your life that you've been thin or skinny or healthy that's great but now you're older now you've starting to feel it you can get that back you might just have to miss a few meals and do that consistently once you make peace with fasting do your research talk to your doctor it's missing a meal or two or three or a day or a week depending on how much fat you have on your system your current physical condition the anger and hunger that comes with calorie reduction once I was able to map wrap my mind around the science of not eating and fasting and understanding that a person can exist without food because their body is feeding them there are different ways to do it so it's less painful I talk about that on other videos but after a while you'll see things to start to change follow up with your medical professional to see if it's something that would work for you the thing is is it's free fasting doesn't cost anything you can buy books on it but really it's about cessation the books kind of explain the process maybe give some guides to it maybe try to sell a couple things like sodium uh different kind of mineral supplements because with fasting you do have a depletion of minerals were you mineral deprived anyway so just add fasting to it and then just leach out more minerals out of your bones and system so that supplementation is probably very beneficial at least it has been for me so I'll take you know a few hundred milligrams of magnesium I have actually magnesium spray that's fantastic and I use that because without the magnesium spray and the supplementation I start to get some cramps so that mineral deficiency definitely exist muscular cramps and it's you know the workouts combined with that but I was 365 pounds had a 65 inch waist talking about working out getting off the couch to go make an alcoholic drink well basically pour more vodka into a glass was really about the only exercise I was getting for a long time if that's you I'm sorry and it sucks and yeah it's hard to get out of where you where you are and it's hard to let go of that past whatever trauma happened to you maybe the trauma still going it's hard yes it's all hard dieting's hard not eating correctly is hard eating incorrectly that's hard it's not hard as it's going in that's hard because you got more doctor you got more hospitals you got more necessary medications you got more rising insurance cost deductibles well that's that's that plus you're paying for the food so it's not like the food is an abundance just sitting around and you're shoveling it in and somebody else's foot in the Bill you're paying to screw yourself over and you have been for a very long time if you've been fat for a very long time a short time being fat sucks too I imagine but I was the kid that was fat that grew into the adult that was fat I had some small portions of thin er less fat but definitely my best waist size as an adult was forty and then it wasn't until I got into my 50s that I saw what a 32 for a little while was like that was hard but gosh so worth it in fact living on this journey in this kind of body and I had this almost like stored blood under the skin because the circulation of my lower extremities was so bad because of how fat I was then I also noticed I was getting a redning of the skin as if the skin on my CAS was being pulled so tightly that it was starting to show cracks and yeah of course lotion not bright but still it was something that I never seen before now I look at my calves without lotion in their normal there's no additional signs of thing something else that I thought was weird I was so fat my toes were different the way the toenails grew in they were constantly the constant constant ingrown toenails so I had to do a lot of maintenance I had to have a lot of attention paid to my feet and you know you need to do this with your feet not once did they ever say well well you know you're you're carrying all this fat on you trying to walk and it's creating undue pressures on the tips of your toes causing ingrown toenails yes that's a thing look it up it's really a thing 135 pounds later I cut my own toenails well I can reach them but I I cut them and there's no issue there's no ungrown toenail it's it's just perfect and when I look at the super fat pictures of my feet versus my feet now wow it was everything changes it was so long I mean never I was a child I don't remember how it was point of this consider some things that might be beneficial and helpful in you detaching from what's making and keeping you fat which in all cases it is then find out ways you can do that less I don't say get rid of it cause that's like telling somebody that worries about everything every time every moment of the day there's 90% of the things we worry about never come to pass and then they say oh great I had somebody mentioned to me talk about how can this person get beyond these problems and I asked them what what's the problem person doing and this isn't one of those well I'm really talking about myself but I'm gonna make up a fake person no they're really talking about somebody else but they've had trauma everybody's trauma is very personal uh somebody cutting me off might cause me to melt down whereas getting in a shooting and and uh stopping somebody and and having them die as a result doesn't affect them it's just different right that's why it's so beautiful being a human being I don't know if that's a half two or not and of course they say well if you're not facing or talking about or airing it then you're bearing it and then later on it's gonna come out and do these and manifest itself and tumors and this and that I don't know all I know is what work for me I didn't put anything away but I didn't have to look at it I had to accept things as they were and as they became I I convinced myself that that was the best method for me acceptance so I accepted I accepted the trauma I accepted the uncomfortable moments I accepted I accepted the bad choices and friends I accepted the alcoholism I accepted a 30 year marriage ending up in divorce I accepted I've accepted all of these things the business good or bad money's good or bad finances good or bad I've accepted all of that and that's what allowed me to move on now I trust everyone to do what they're going to do they're gonna do what they're going to do for me when I heard that the other day from somebody that had a lot of power but I do accept the fact that they are going to do what they're going to do you take that and you apply that to other areas in your life you might not like those things and those things that are unfolding in front of you in your life might not be able to be controlled by you which most of them are not but those things coming about accepting that they're happening you don't have to like them but accept that they are what they are that's going to get you to wherever it is you wanna be I'm never going to be where I well I don't know if there's ever a time I think it's focus so there for a long time focused on you know getting skinny less fat hate the word skinny but I use skinny my dad said skinny skinny is good I think but skinny can be bad I like the muscular thing but when you're really fat any less fat's pretty good I remember getting just tickled to death I was able to drop a pound of fat or a pound of weight that's the other thing to watch out for make sure what you're burning through is a majority fat and the way you do that is just start resistance training you know don't worry about much else at this point if you're new at this talk to your doctor and stuff what I found I just I started lifting and then that became a habitual routine it takes a while for that to happen just keep pushing you'll be able to make it through while I don't realize in all its gravity why this time was different than all my previous attempts of trying to become less fat I had failures but at least I was on the field see you at least got to be in the game even if it means telling somebody that's feeding you I'm done don't feed me anymore bar none it was worth the sacrifice it's easy for me to say now cause I've been here for about two little bit over two years now still maintaining and I still have that fat guy in there because I still look at myself kind of like that I was able to lift with my hands on camera just just remarkable you'll find me online Connor with Honor fat transformation or you'll find that video too but yeah pretty remarkable however I'm not done and if I let my guard down you know 65 inch waist I can't let my guard down I have to stay on my toes and that goes with the fasting protocol I use it it still fast for multiple days I still do that I still eat too much occasionally at a sitting or two but I do know where that's going to get me and before I do it I make sure I don't do it under the covers or in secret or behind closed doors I do it for full public preview because I am not embarrassed you know I have those requirements now I don't make it easy I want the tablecloth I want the flower I want the candle if I'm gonna devour something horrible for me I'm gonna do it up nice nice little space in front of the television have the television playing some nonsense some mindless garble that I'm able to watch maybe the news and I'll sit there and I'll just pile it down in front of God and everyone but when you do it like that it's almost no fun cause it is much fun to hide in the parking lot of a Jack in the box devouring 20 tacos and a couple milkshakes be good yourselves thank you for watching I'm not embarrassed but yeah this guy's got all sorts of issues have a fantastic day we'll talk to you next time I'm Connor with honor over and out following through with the commitments sugar is good we'll just leave that up to you to decide there's gonna be big major consequences because when you're not fasting using the adequate energy to allow for that kind of consumption feels a lot better than it did when I had a 65 inch waist these discolorations on my calves wow it was like having a fat suit on I don't know where you are show is really think about it if it's you screwing yourself over I am not accepting them to do what I want them to do I had failed practice sessions where I screwed up the practice you're sitting you're not if if you're not putting yourself out there being uncomfortable
