- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone, I hope you've had a beautiful week.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: In today's episode, we're going to discuss lessons, but more succinctly when we believe we know others' lessons, such as, my mother needs to learn empathy, my husband needs to learn boundaries, my wife needs to learn self-love, my boss needs to awaken.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: So today I'm going to explain why we should never ever say that anyone needs to learn anything.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Your ego thinks that it's all knowing.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Whether your ego likes to believe it's more awakened, more degraded, more intelligent, more sympathetic, empathetic, critical thinking, observational, etc., your ego truly knows nothing about another's ego.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: So when you say that someone's ego is awakening, that's perception.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: When you say that someone's ego needs to learn something, that's perception.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: And these perceptions are based upon your own ego's programmed value systems.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: The ego is subjective, though not autonomous, and the ego does not know what another ego's programming, value system, moral compass, or trauma responses do.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: If you were to ask someone, how do you want to be perceived?
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Do you think a single person would answer, I want to be seen as disrespectful, mean, hateful, spiteful, angry, materialistic, triggered, irritable, self-loathing, and irrational?
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: No, of course not.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Every ego wants to be seen as their vision of perfect to every person they come across, especially to those that they love.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Unfortunately, we all have our own triggers and trauma responses, and until we learn how to be mindful, those triggers and trauma responses have a tendency to control our actions.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Every ego is doing their best to survive in this world with as little pain as possible.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: So when your ego has its own triggers and you interact with someone who, of course, also has triggers, your ego's perception of the other's actions are going to be that of they need to learn respect, or they need to learn to listen, etc.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Just because your ego desires a certain quality in another's ego doesn't necessarily mean that the person needs to have that quality.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: If the love of your life had a secret family in another area, and after your divorce, someone you were dating said to you, you need to learn to be more trusting, would that be accurate?
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: No, it wouldn't, because no one else knows what you have been through or how your ego processed that information.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Your ego does not know what another ego needs to learn in this incarnation, just as no other ego knows what your ego needs to learn in this incarnation.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: No ego, in fact, needs to do anything.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: This comes down to a serious problem in verbiage.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: We have a tendency to utilize the term need instead of I would like, I feel as if, or I desire.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: When you say something to the effect of, I need a partner who is emotionally stable, you don't actually need it.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Your ego desires it.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Your ego believes that is what would make it happy and what would make it feel safe.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: But when you say something to the effect of, I need a partner who is emotionally stable, you're in fact saying that your ego desires many things.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: It desires a partner first and foremost.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: It desires a partner who, to your own ego, does not have large fluctuations in their emotions.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: It desires a partner who either has worked through whatever egoic traumas they have and are currently at mental peace, or who has suppressed all emotions to the point where they appear emotionally stable.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: But that's the thing.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: You can never know if someone is emotionally stable because you don't know what their ego is doing, has done, will do, and what your own ego is doing, has done, and will do.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: That emotionally stable partner you currently desire could turn out to be incredibly stagnant because their emotional stability relies on micromanaging their routine in which nothing can deviate.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Going back to verbiage, there is technically nothing we need overall.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Each thing we need is for the body to stay alive: food, breath, water, sleep, and warmth.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: No one's ego, including your own, needs to do anything in this incarnation.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: But we throw the term need around because it's the simplest and most succinct way of saying we strongly desire something.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: The problem, however, is that it allows us to become lazy with our thoughts, and with this laziness, it allows the ego to take control.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: So let me give you some examples.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Let's say you have a headache.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: You may say, I need some Advil.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: But the accurate statement is I would like some Advil and hope that my head will feel better.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Or let's say that you're in an argument with someone and they yell in your face.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: You may say, you need to learn some respect, but the accurate statement is my ego feels threatened and I feel physically unsafe when you yell in my face.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: The word need has become a catch-all for anything that the ego views as unsafe.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: No one's ego needs to learn anything in this incarnation.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: That's the beauty of choice.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Along with this, what you deem necessary for another ego to learn may be pivotal in them not having learned in order to learn a different lesson.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: It will help the mind so much if we change our perspective and remove our expectations.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: When we say that someone else needs to learn something, we are giving up our own control and putting it in someone else's hands.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe it is our own ego that needs to learn something in this case.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Maybe our ego needs to learn patience or understanding or not to have expectations or sympathy, empathy, boundaries, to not be judgmental, and always non-attachment.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Whether someone else's ego learns something in this incarnation has absolutely no bearing on how you live your current manifestation unless you allow it to.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: But again, that's giving up control of your own emotions, happiness, and feelings because you're stating that your own happiness is conditional upon someone else's ego, learning something based on your own egoic programming of values.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Just like you have a choice, they also have a choice, and it is not your business nor your place to judge whether they decide to learn a lesson in this incarnation or the next or the next or in a thousand incarnations from now.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: You are the same thing as everything else.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: So the more you learn, the more non-attached you will be from what others learn, because you'll realize that everything is interconnected and that every ego is on its own journey and on its own timeline.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: It's fine to point out to someone something that affects your mental equilibrium.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: It's fine to say, I feel hurt when you do X, do you think you could practice being more mindful?
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: Or I feel triggered and unsafe when you act like Y.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: Could you try to communicate with me in a different way?
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: But telling someone that they need to learn something is massively egoically selfish and a judgmental assumption.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: So let's focus on our own lessons, healing, and expansion, and lead by example.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Until next week, all of my best and highest vibrations to you.
