- 0:00Speaker 1: Now this is the Mark Simon Show on sevent tenor.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Well it's Monday. There's a lot going on. We'll get
- 0:10Speaker 2: you caught up on everything. We'll get the latest on Iran.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We'll get to Eric Swalwell, it's over for him. We'll
- 0:16Speaker 2: get to a mom Donnie in a silly grocery store.
- 0:19Speaker 2: We'll get to Bruce Blakeman, next Governor of New York.
- 0:23Speaker 2: We'll get to Artemis, the space craft and the astronauts.
- 0:27Speaker 2: We'll get to the Masters and a whole lot more.
- 0:29Speaker 2: We'll get to Kamala Harris became the laughing stock of
- 0:34Speaker 2: the Internet on Saturday. We'll explain why. So as we
- 0:39Speaker 2: speak right now, blockade is beginning. President Trump has decided
- 0:43Speaker 2: to put up a blockade on the straits of Hormouse.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Now most people just casual watches of the news. You know,
- 0:52Speaker 2: they watched the evening news and they quickly read the paper.
- 0:55Speaker 2: You're a victim of fake news. You've been given a
- 0:59Speaker 2: false impressure. And if you watch the Sunday shows, they
- 1:02Speaker 2: really go out of their way to just totally mislead
- 1:04Speaker 2: the public. Couple of things you got to know. Fact,
- 1:08Speaker 2: we get no oil out of the straits of Hormuse.
- 1:10Speaker 2: We don't need it for anything. It could be closed
- 1:12Speaker 2: forever and it doesn't affect the United States. If it's closed,
- 1:17Speaker 2: if it's blockaded, if it's closed, it completely screws up Iran.
- 1:22Speaker 2: It's their only source of revenue. Oil. That's all they do.
- 1:25Speaker 2: They sell oil, and if the Straits of Hormose are blocked,
- 1:29Speaker 2: they can't sell in the oil and they've got zero
- 1:32Speaker 2: revenue coming in. It also screws up China. They are
- 1:37Speaker 2: heavily dependent on Iranian oil, so it really messes up China.
- 1:43Speaker 2: That's one reason we're not rushing to get it open.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Now here's another fact. We can open the Straits of
- 1:47Speaker 2: Hormose at any time, anytime we feel like it. It's
- 1:51Speaker 2: an easy thing to do militarily. We've got the plan
- 1:55Speaker 2: on how to open it. Admiral Cooper Scentcom could execute
- 1:58Speaker 2: that in a second soon as he gets to go ahead,
- 2:00Speaker 2: could totally open the Straits of Hormoose. We're not going
- 2:04Speaker 2: to do that for a while because the longer it's closed,
- 2:06Speaker 2: the more it hurts China. It completely takes all revenue
- 2:10Speaker 2: away from Iran. And also it helps the United States.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Not only don't we need that oil. But if the
- 2:17Speaker 2: Straits of Hormoose are closed, it actually helps us. We
- 2:21Speaker 2: make more money because if it's closed Europe, India, many
- 2:26Speaker 2: countries that are totally dependent on that oil now have
- 2:30Speaker 2: to buy from the United States. We are actually oil
- 2:33Speaker 2: rich right now. We've got more oil than we need.
- 2:35Speaker 2: We're an exporter of oil now. In fact, right now
- 2:37Speaker 2: we're the biggest exporter of oil in the world. So
- 2:40Speaker 2: as long as the Straits of Hormoose are closed, a
- 2:43Speaker 2: lot of these countries who used to buy that oil
- 2:45Speaker 2: now have to buy it from us. And they're also
- 2:49Speaker 2: thinking that after a while, they're going to start to realize,
- 2:52Speaker 2: you know what, this is a better supplier Straits of Hormoose,
- 2:56Speaker 2: Iranian oil. There's always a risk something could go wrong
- 2:59Speaker 2: in other wars. We're safe for buying US oil. So
- 3:03Speaker 2: this is benefiting us greatly. The blockade will go into place,
- 3:07Speaker 2: they have to clear the mines out and all of that.
- 3:10Speaker 2: We've got all kinds of it. Used to be a
- 3:11Speaker 2: big thing worrying about mines and the shipping lane, but
- 3:14Speaker 2: we've got all kinds of technology now, all kinds of
- 3:16Speaker 2: new mind detectors. We didn't have before. We've got underwater drones,
- 3:21Speaker 2: all sorts of stuff that we didn't have before we
- 3:23Speaker 2: weren't able to use. Here's President Trump.
- 3:25Speaker 3: They probably have a couple of mines in the water.
- 3:27Speaker 2: We have mine sweepers out there. We're sweeping these straight.
- 3:32Speaker 3: In addition to that one negotiating whether we make a
- 3:35Speaker 3: deal or not, it makes no difference to me.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, So we were clearing the minds that We've had
- 3:41Speaker 2: US warships going through the Straits of hor Moose all weekend,
- 3:45Speaker 2: just checking it out. Everything will be fine there. Again,
- 3:50Speaker 2: keeping it blockaded helps us. We make more money that way,
- 3:55Speaker 2: and it completely completely screws up all revenue coming into
- 3:59Speaker 2: Iran and messes up China. That's another reason. They'll stall
- 4:03Speaker 2: as long as they can.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Now.
- 4:04Speaker 2: As far as the talks, well, they'll continue. They were
- 4:08Speaker 2: twenty one hours over the weekend. Can you imagine sitting
- 4:15Speaker 2: in a hotel in Pakistan talking to Iranian negotiators for
- 4:21Speaker 2: twenty one hours? Now? Does anybody in the world want
- 4:24Speaker 2: to do that? If you're Steve Wikoff, you're living in
- 4:29Speaker 2: New York, having the time of your life, having fun,
- 4:31Speaker 2: building buildings, enjoying New York, who would give that up
- 4:36Speaker 2: to go sit in a hotel conference room in Pakistan
- 4:41Speaker 2: at a table for twenty and one hours talking to
- 4:43Speaker 2: Iranian negotiators with interpreters. But they did it. JD. Vance
- 4:48Speaker 2: led the negotiations. It didn't go well. The nukes were
- 4:50Speaker 2: the big topic.
- 4:51Speaker 1: The enrichment facilities that they had before they've been destroyed.
- 4:56Speaker 1: But the simple question is do we see a fundamental
- 4:59Speaker 1: commitment of will for the Iranians not to develop a
- 5:03Speaker 1: nuclear weapon, not just now, not just two years from now,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but for the long term. We haven't seen that yet.
- 5:07Speaker 1: We hope that we will.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Now when it comes to negotiating with Iran, everybody will
- 5:11Speaker 2: tell you, whether it's Obama or Biden or Pillary or anybody,
- 5:15Speaker 2: that they're the worst negotiators in the world. They're absolutely
- 5:19Speaker 2: totally untrustworthy. Even if they were a degree, they're lying
- 5:24Speaker 2: about everything. They're always lying. So obviously, in any negotiation
- 5:27Speaker 2: there's ups and downs and there's bumps, but with somebody
- 5:31Speaker 2: like Iran, it's going to be more ups and downs
- 5:33Speaker 2: and a bumpier road than ever. So the fact that
- 5:36Speaker 2: the talks blew up and fell through after day one
- 5:38Speaker 2: is to be expected. There was no agreement.
- 5:40Speaker 1: We've been at it now for twenty one hours and
- 5:44Speaker 1: we've had a number of substant discussions with the Iranians.
- 5:47Speaker 2: That's the good news.
- 5:49Speaker 1: The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we'll blockade the whole thing and then we'll
- 5:56Speaker 2: see what happens. Where are they actually, they're in Pakistan
- 6:00Speaker 2: Star Serena hotel where they're having the peace talks. It's
- 6:04Speaker 2: a huge hotel. It's kind of a resort. It's got
- 6:06Speaker 2: fifteen acres, it's got four hundred rooms, it's got multiple
- 6:10Speaker 2: banquet rooms, huge banquet rooms, conference rooms, office complex. These
- 6:16Speaker 2: two delegations, by the way, are people. Our team and
- 6:19Speaker 2: their team, one hundred and fifty people. So it's not
- 6:21Speaker 2: a little room. It's a big room. There's one hundred
- 6:23Speaker 2: and fifty people sitting in this room doing this negotiation.
- 6:28Speaker 2: But everything will be fine. The Pope shooting off his mouth,
- 6:31Speaker 2: Pope Leo, who is a real left wing, woke pope,
- 6:38Speaker 2: speaking out pretty much defending a ran going after the
- 6:41Speaker 2: US on this President Trump firing back at him.
- 6:45Speaker 3: We don't like it. We don't like a pope that's
- 6:48Speaker 3: gonna say that it's okay to have a nuclear weapon.
- 6:51Speaker 3: We don't want to pope that says crime is okay
- 6:54Speaker 3: in our cities. I don't like it. I'm not a
- 6:56Speaker 3: big fan of poblo.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Yeah, now you oh, you can't attack the pope. It's
- 7:00Speaker 2: going to hurt him. No, it's not going to hurt him.
- 7:02Speaker 2: He did this before with the last pope. Remember they
- 7:03Speaker 2: got no huge war awards and Trump only went up.
- 7:06Speaker 2: There was I think it was during the South Carolina primary,
- 7:08Speaker 2: was tacked the pope. That's it, he's finished. He won
- 7:11Speaker 2: that primary easily. And this pope again, we love the pope,
- 7:15Speaker 2: but this guy's way to the left. The reel woke
- 7:19Speaker 2: and it was really inappropriate for the Pope to say
- 7:21Speaker 2: what he said, taking a side like that, and a
- 7:24Speaker 2: lot of people criticizing this pope because over the last
- 7:28Speaker 2: six months, as Iran was executing people in the street, slaughtering, killing,
- 7:33Speaker 2: executing thirty thousand protesters, this pope never said a word
- 7:39Speaker 2: and the demonstrators that survived ended up in the hospital.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Iran sent the Republican guard into the hospital to shoot
- 7:47Speaker 2: them in their hospital beds. Pope never said a word.
- 7:50Speaker 2: So you know, the hypocrisy left wingers are famous for.
- 7:55Speaker 2: But President Trump not afraid to lash out of him.
- 7:58Speaker 3: He's a very liberal and he's a man that doesn't
- 8:02Speaker 3: believe in stopping grime. He's a man that doesn't think
- 8:05Speaker 3: that we should be going with a country that once
- 8:10Speaker 3: a nuclear weapons so they can blow up the world.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I'm not a fan of Bubblio.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Yeah, he's very very I'm Donnie like. He defends the criminals,
- 8:20Speaker 2: not the you know, not the police. Hey, over the weekend.
- 8:28Speaker 2: It ended over the weekend, but started on Wednesday. Al
- 8:31Speaker 2: Sharpton had his convention, and in his convention, believe it
- 8:38Speaker 2: or not, if you're a Democrat and you want to
- 8:39Speaker 2: run in twenty twenty eight, you have to show up
- 8:41Speaker 2: and kiss the Al Sharpton ring. And one by one
- 8:45Speaker 2: they all did it. There was Bootage Edge and he
- 8:47Speaker 2: did very well there because remember it's an Al Sharpton convention,
- 8:50Speaker 2: not much substance there. It's left wing cooks and the
- 8:53Speaker 2: Pete Boodhage. Edge spews out those left wing bumper stickers
- 8:57Speaker 2: and they loved it. So you had Joshio, who is
- 9:02Speaker 2: out of all these people, probably the most common sense
- 9:05Speaker 2: of them, probably the smartest of the bunch. He's Jewish.
- 9:09Speaker 2: That's a problem for these Democrats. They don't want He's
- 9:13Speaker 2: pretty good as governor of Pennsylvania. Then he had Mark Kelly,
- 9:18Speaker 2: who strange looking guy, who you know, the angry looking guy.
- 9:21Speaker 2: But Democrats love that strange angry Ooh, that's big with Democrats.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Some people think the way he handled himself there it
- 9:28Speaker 2: looked like he was thinking of running in twenty twenty eight.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Problem with him, He was under serious consideration to be
- 9:36Speaker 2: Kamala's running mate, and from what I hear, he had
- 9:39Speaker 2: some vetting problems. The vetting process, there were some things
- 9:43Speaker 2: that eliminated him. So I don't know what those are,
- 9:45Speaker 2: but you've got that to worry about. The other problem is,
- 9:50Speaker 2: because of all the recent Democratic talk, Mark Kelly is
- 9:55Speaker 2: now officially, according to Democratic definition, a war criminal because
- 10:00Speaker 2: he always brags about being a fighter pilot, he flew
- 10:02Speaker 2: combat missions in Iraq, and well what he did in
- 10:07Speaker 2: Iraq was take out bridges and take out power plans.
- 10:10Speaker 2: That's what he did on those combat missions. So by
- 10:13Speaker 2: his own definition, he's a war criminals. You're gonna have
- 10:15Speaker 2: to worry about that. But Kamala Harris made the strangest
- 10:18Speaker 2: speech a because she was apparently drunk. Everybody agreed. She
- 10:22Speaker 2: appeared to be totally drunk, and there's nothing worse than
- 10:26Speaker 2: a drunk trying to be funny. She tried to imitate
- 10:29Speaker 2: Donald Trump. She got ridiculed all over the internet. It's
- 10:32Speaker 2: considered to be the single worst impersonation ever of Donald Trump.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Let me see if I can play it here. It
- 10:39Speaker 2: is horror, just horrible. Her Donald Trump impression is when
- 10:46Speaker 2: he talks about America. First it's to withdraw from these
- 10:52Speaker 2: relationships and these connections, and then he kind of read
- 10:55Speaker 2: acts like a mob boss.
- 10:58Speaker 3: So then he's kind of like, you know, you take
- 11:03Speaker 3: Eastern Europe and I'll take the Western atmosphere, and then
- 11:09Speaker 3: you over you get Asian.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And we'll just divide it up right instead of understanding.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Now that's supposed to be an impression of Donald Trump.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It will go down on the record as a single
- 11:22Speaker 2: worst impersonation ever. Hey, Eric Swallwell, one minute he's running
- 11:28Speaker 2: for governor California. Next minute, everybody in the staff, campaign management,
- 11:35Speaker 2: everybody quits. He was staying with this big billionaire donor
- 11:38Speaker 2: who gave him a million bucks. In fact, that video
- 11:41Speaker 2: he did done from the billionaire's house. His response, These
- 11:45Speaker 2: allegations of sexual assault are flat false. They are absolutely false.
- 11:50Speaker 2: They did not happen. They have never happened, and I
- 11:52Speaker 2: will fight them with everything that I have. Yeah, sounds good.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Let me give you a quick update. This old camp,
- 12:00Speaker 2: the bain staff, the management, the campaign, manage, everybody quit,
- 12:02Speaker 2: walked out the billionaire with us. He recorded that in
- 12:05Speaker 2: his house. The billionaire just threw him out of his
- 12:07Speaker 2: house and is demanding his million dollars back. In Congress,
- 12:11Speaker 2: Republicans and Democrats are calling for his expulsion. He most
- 12:15Speaker 2: likely will be expelled from the House. They'll probably give
- 12:18Speaker 2: him a chance to resign first. Swalwell will have to
- 12:21Speaker 2: drop out. He suspended his campaign, but he will have
- 12:24Speaker 2: to leave the race. All of these attacks, rape, sexual harassment,
- 12:29Speaker 2: inappropriate behavior, all the different women, all these attacks all
- 12:33Speaker 2: came at once. One minute, he's doing great in the race.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Next minute all this hit the fan. Now, how did
- 12:39Speaker 2: all this happen, all these women, everything all at once. Well,
- 12:45Speaker 2: it's believed it was packaged and coordinated, with a lot
- 12:49Speaker 2: of money behind it, some zillionaires. It's believed he came
- 12:54Speaker 2: from the Democratic side, not from the Republican side. Republicans
- 12:57Speaker 2: didn't really fear him. Democrats wanted him out, wanted him gone,
- 13:02Speaker 2: they wanted to get rid of him. So somebody put
- 13:04Speaker 2: this all together and unleashed it all at once, at
- 13:07Speaker 2: exactly the right moment. Now, who could have done such
- 13:09Speaker 2: a thing? Well, could could be a cabal of Democratic donors.
- 13:14Speaker 2: But remember also in that race, he was running against
- 13:16Speaker 2: the billionaire Tom Stier, that left wing climate change kook,
- 13:22Speaker 2: Tom Sutton Styre and Stier is not a good talker,
- 13:26Speaker 2: He's a horrible campaigner. He couldn't catch up to Swalwell.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Swawel always had a big lead. So I'm just saying
- 13:34Speaker 2: it's possible it was Tom Steier, the billionaire, who helped
- 13:38Speaker 2: organize this hit job. And I'm not saying that Swalwell
- 13:42Speaker 2: is not guilty of all this stuff. I'm sure he is,
- 13:44Speaker 2: but uh, it could have been. It could have been
- 13:47Speaker 2: the Stire somebody else. Now, with Swawell leaving the race,
- 13:50Speaker 2: does that mean Tom Steyer moves up. Not really, because
- 13:53Speaker 2: he may have billions of dollars. Remember he used to
- 13:55Speaker 2: run those TV ads about climate change. He can run
- 13:58Speaker 2: all the ads he wants, he can, But the more
- 14:00Speaker 2: people get a look at him and listen to him,
- 14:02Speaker 2: the more uncomfortable to get with him. He's just an uncomfortable,
- 14:05Speaker 2: awkward sort of a guy, and he's just got that
- 14:08Speaker 2: one issue, that climate change stuff. So he's not much
- 14:11Speaker 2: of a candidate. There's a couple others they think will
- 14:13Speaker 2: rise up, the San Diego mayor and a few others.
- 14:16Speaker 2: This is what in California's called a jungle primary. It's
- 14:19Speaker 2: not separate Democrat Republican. Everybody just runs in one big primary.
- 14:24Speaker 2: It's an absolute mess. And Steve Hilton is the Republican candidate.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Some people think he's got a really good shot, only
- 14:34Speaker 2: because if it ends up being Tom Steyer, who can't talk,
- 14:37Speaker 2: Hilton is a great talker. The only problem is California
- 14:41Speaker 2: is now two thirds of it is Democratic. It's hard
- 14:45Speaker 2: for Republican to win. Used to be a balanced state.
- 14:48Speaker 2: They used to elect Republicans all the time. Ronald Reagan,
- 14:52Speaker 2: Arnold schwartzningg He used to always often elect Republicans. Not
- 14:57Speaker 2: the case anymore. It's been a one party state for years.
- 15:00Speaker 2: So obviously Hilton had have a very tough time. But
- 15:03Speaker 2: he's got a better shot than most Republicans, so they
- 15:06Speaker 2: will call for Swalwell to leave Congress. Even everybody major,
- 15:12Speaker 2: major major major Democrats have all turned on him now,
- 15:17Speaker 2: and even Leader Hakim Jeffries has called on him to
- 15:19Speaker 2: drop out, and he's calling for a Senate investigation. Even
- 15:23Speaker 2: his big supporter Adam Schiff pulled his support. There's a
- 15:27Speaker 2: lot of other stuff with him. He was running for
- 15:28Speaker 2: governor California. Turns out that people investigating him were able
- 15:32Speaker 2: to show he doesn't even live in California. He doesn't
- 15:35Speaker 2: have a residence there. He got some good friends who
- 15:38Speaker 2: owned a little house to claim that they had rented
- 15:40Speaker 2: a room to him, but that looks like it wasn't true.
- 15:43Speaker 2: So he's finished. That's it. You won't see him anymore, Heybill,
- 15:48Speaker 2: take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three to
- 15:50Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is the number? Eight hundred
- 15:54Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten.
