New Invasive Vine Threatens Wisconsin | Green Bay News
A new invasive vine, pale swallow-wort, has been spotted near Krakow in Oconto and Shawano counties—and it’s a serious threat. Related to milkweed but far more aggressive, it smothers native plants and tricks monarch butterflies into laying eggs on it, only for the caterpillars to die. Illegal in Wisconsin, it’s on the state’s prohibited invasive list. If you see it, report it immediately via email to Invasive.Species@wisconsin.gov with location and photos—or use EDDMapS. Quick action is critical to stop this vine from taking over the state. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow…
