- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from kf I
- 0:04Speaker 1: am six forty.
- 0:08Speaker 2: No human bones have been found in the Titanic wreck.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Okay, so my guess is that they have been consumed,
- 0:17Speaker 3: were crushed, or whatever happens at ten Thouars.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Jack Crushing, pressure, corrosive saltwater, and deep sea scavengers caused
- 0:25Speaker 4: them to decompose and dissolve over time.
- 0:28Speaker 5: There's the answer exactly.
- 0:29Speaker 6: But they are dense and resistant to pressure.
- 0:32Speaker 7: So is Bill.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And now Handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:40Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Good morning everybody.
- 0:45Speaker 3: It is a Thursday morning, October ninth. And since we
- 0:51Speaker 3: have Palkday, Wednesday, Taco Tuesday, I think Thursday. You have
- 0:56Speaker 3: our choice. Now it's going to be official. It's either
- 0:59Speaker 3: going to be Tetanus Day or tumor Thursday.
- 1:03Speaker 5: What do you think?
- 1:06Speaker 2: There's no alliteration there.
- 1:08Speaker 5: I know, I just have to think what works with Thursday.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Well, as Kno says every week, Thursday, Thursday.
- 1:15Speaker 5: Yeah, Thursday.
- 1:16Speaker 3: I mean it's okay, but I'm not I don't drink
- 1:18Speaker 3: so Thursday.
- 1:20Speaker 5: Yeah, That's that's how I would describe this show.
- 1:23Speaker 7: Is thoughtful, well said Thursday.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Thy Way Thursday. Isn't bad that works.
- 1:29Speaker 6: Thirsty Thursday's not about drinking beverages.
- 1:31Speaker 7: It's about sex, man, It's about the sex. What's that
- 1:36Speaker 7: sex is?
- 1:37Speaker 5: I've been married long enough to what's what is that?
- 1:40Speaker 5: I don't even know what that means?
- 1:42Speaker 3: Well, the first but the other one was thirty years,
- 1:44Speaker 3: so you know what do you do about that one?
- 1:47Speaker 8: Well, since it's Halloween time, how about theremon Thursday?
- 1:50Speaker 5: Ooh, therapy Thursday?
- 1:52Speaker 7: There?
- 1:53Speaker 5: Man, I don't even know what the hell theremony.
- 1:55Speaker 7: You don't know what a theremon is? Is it like
- 1:58Speaker 7: electronic musical?
- 2:00Speaker 5: Did not know that?
- 2:00Speaker 3: That's what makes the I did not know that, did
- 2:04Speaker 3: not know that anyway, Neil, good morning to you.
- 2:06Speaker 7: Good morning Willie wolf Esquire.
- 2:09Speaker 3: And there's Amy. Hey, how bought them Dodgers last night?
- 2:12Speaker 5: Huh?
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:14Speaker 4: Yeah, Well you know the good news is I get
- 2:17Speaker 4: to go to a game now.
- 2:18Speaker 5: That is and that's well worth it.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So well, I don't know about that. I was hoping
- 2:22Speaker 2: they would win last night.
- 2:23Speaker 3: But even with you not being able to go to
- 2:25Speaker 3: the game, you would give up the game so the
- 2:27Speaker 3: Dodgers would win?
- 2:28Speaker 5: Yes, wow, wow, Yeah, it's.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Too stressful, it's too stressful last night. If we would
- 2:38Speaker 4: have just swept it, it would have been great. But since
- 2:41Speaker 4: they fell apart and it was eight to two, it
- 2:43Speaker 4: was painful. And that just makes tonight's game more stressful.
- 2:49Speaker 5: I'm going to a Chargers game in November, taking my daughter.
- 2:54Speaker 7: You know it's not about credit cards, right.
- 2:57Speaker 5: I know. It isn't charger game. My god.
- 3:00Speaker 3: You know, do you have any you have any idea
- 3:04Speaker 3: how much it costs to go to a Charger game
- 3:06Speaker 3: these days?
- 3:07Speaker 7: They don't all right, It.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Depends on whether you work for a radio station that
- 3:11Speaker 3: carries the team or you don't work for a radio
- 3:14Speaker 3: station that carries.
- 3:17Speaker 7: No.
- 3:18Speaker 6: But let me just tell you your seats are gonna suck.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Yeah. I know that this place. I know they used
- 3:25Speaker 5: to have great seats.
- 3:27Speaker 3: So they've gotten worse and worse and worse, and now
- 3:32Speaker 3: they and now they're outside of the parking lot. Yeah,
- 3:35Speaker 3: I can't wait. My daughter, This is my daughter, Okay,
- 3:38Speaker 3: And good morning and Kno good morning, and Mike Morris
- 3:42Speaker 3: somewhere in the bowels of KFI over there.
- 3:45Speaker 9: Well, good morning, Bill. I'm not supposed to ask you that.
- 3:48Speaker 9: I know you don't care.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't care, but it doesn't matter, all right,
- 3:54Speaker 3: quick question? What are your normal hours? I mean they're
- 3:56Speaker 3: not morning drive, are they?
- 3:59Speaker 7: No?
- 3:59Speaker 9: I usually weekends on KFI eight am, two four am.
- 4:02Speaker 9: In fact, I'm on during your Handle on the Law program.
- 4:05Speaker 7: How are you really?
- 4:07Speaker 5: I okay, just yeah, didn't know the show. By the way, Oh,
- 4:11Speaker 5: thank you very much.
- 4:12Speaker 9: Yeah, you started on KFI with that program? Is that
- 4:15Speaker 9: right before.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Eighteen eighty nine?
- 4:16Speaker 3: I actually started you talk about aging me? Handle on
- 4:20Speaker 3: the Law started in nineteen eighty five. Wow, it's been
- 4:26Speaker 3: on the air for forty years and I still have
- 4:29Speaker 3: no idea what I'm talking about still to this day.
- 4:32Speaker 6: Did Will just get fired?
- 4:36Speaker 5: Oh I'm sorry.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Your new favorite?
- 4:42Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I was just at interesting times, to say the least,
- 4:47Speaker 3: very interesting times. Oh and we were going to put
- 4:51Speaker 3: together once again. I'm going to remind you and if
- 4:54Speaker 3: we have time.
- 4:54Speaker 5: I don't know how big a deal it is to
- 4:56Speaker 5: put it together, but a segment of me doing it,
- 5:00Speaker 5: of the me doing it, one of my segments, a
- 5:02Speaker 5: Neil segment, a food Friday sermon. You help with that?
- 5:06Speaker 5: Who had the program for that?
- 5:08Speaker 6: It's no longer with us not dead, just fired.
- 5:12Speaker 3: And and did the person who is no longer with
- 5:16Speaker 3: us take the program with him.
- 5:17Speaker 6: Yeah, because he paid for it.
- 5:21Speaker 7: Yeah, because it wasn't a company.
- 5:25Speaker 6: So yeah, I know you we'll put we'll put an
- 5:29Speaker 6: order in for it.
- 5:30Speaker 8: You know when they used to cut the fat, now
- 5:32Speaker 8: they're starting to cut the lean.
- 5:35Speaker 7: Yeah that's true.
- 5:36Speaker 5: No, it's just but that's across the board. I mean
- 5:38Speaker 5: that is okay podcasting, that really is uh and so
- 5:42Speaker 5: there are I remember that this show is going to last.
- 5:45Speaker 3: But from why what I understand is starting Monday, you're
- 5:50Speaker 3: gonna have a very talented intern doing the morning show
- 5:54Speaker 3: for a minimum wage.
- 5:56Speaker 7: Now they'll keep you. You're just gonna have to produce
- 5:58Speaker 7: it and do your.
- 5:59Speaker 3: News and I'm gonna have to do it all crazy stuff.
- 6:04Speaker 3: All right, let'sten to it, guys. We have plenty of
- 6:06Speaker 3: news to cover today. Handle on the news with Amy
- 6:10Speaker 3: neil Me lead driver, lead story.
- 6:17Speaker 7: Did I say lead leader driver?
- 6:19Speaker 3: Lead story about the driver Uber driver who's who's alleged
- 6:24Speaker 3: make it make sense, leave alone, who allegedly started to
- 6:28Speaker 3: fire that destroyed Pacific Palisades.
- 6:30Speaker 8: And somewhere someone very talented is not working today.
- 6:34Speaker 5: But that was correct.
- 6:35Speaker 3: This twenty nine year old Jonathan rinderknicked suspected of setting
- 6:41Speaker 3: the fire. And if you look at you know, they
- 6:42Speaker 3: interviewed like thirteen thousand they have thirteen thousand pieces of
- 6:45Speaker 3: evidence of something crazy and what they've put together is amazing.
- 6:50Speaker 5: So anyway, they got.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Him and he's gonna be charged and it's basically arson.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Arson with death resultings.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I don't know how many years he's going to get,
- 7:01Speaker 3: but can you imagine, you know, he's got restitution.
- 7:06Speaker 2: He doesn't have any money.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and if he did have money, sixteen thousand houses
- 7:13Speaker 3: and the entire city blown up.
- 7:15Speaker 5: But anyway, I guess that is good news that at
- 7:18Speaker 5: least they've arrested someone for that.
- 7:22Speaker 2: This could be the start of something big.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Israel and Hamas I've agreed to the first phase of
- 7:26Speaker 4: a deal to end the war in Gaza. The ceasefire
- 7:31Speaker 4: would kick in twenty four hours after the Israeli government
- 7:34Speaker 4: approves it, and we're hearing that they will approve that.
- 7:38Speaker 4: That'll bring a stop to the fighting, it'll allow humanitarian
- 7:41Speaker 4: aid to start getting in, and then within seventy two
- 7:45Speaker 4: hours of the signing of the agreement, apparently Hamas will
- 7:48Speaker 4: release all of the remaining hostages. Both alive and dead,
- 7:52Speaker 4: and Israel will release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, and then
- 7:55Speaker 4: Israel also pulls back. They'll still be in Gaza, yeah,
- 7:58Speaker 4: but they'll be pulled back.
- 8:00Speaker 5: A couple of things. Fox News reported that the deal
- 8:04Speaker 5: is signed, that it is already signed and the cabinet
- 8:09Speaker 5: I guess, signed off in Israel.
- 8:11Speaker 3: So that's one and a couple of other things. The
- 8:15Speaker 3: release of hostages. All the hostages that are alive, Israel
- 8:20Speaker 3: has accounted for and they're probably all going to be released.
- 8:23Speaker 3: It's the dead ones that Hamas doesn't have a lot
- 8:28Speaker 3: of them, or doesn't. There's a few that are not
- 8:30Speaker 3: in Hamasa's hands. They're in other splinter groups, and hamasays
- 8:35Speaker 3: we don't have them in Israel confirms that. So we'll
- 8:39Speaker 3: talk more about that at seven o'clock. The other thing
- 8:41Speaker 3: I want to point out is in Israel, of course,
- 8:45Speaker 3: there's an explosion of celebration that the war is over.
- 8:49Speaker 3: It's not we won the war, it's the war is over.
- 8:52Speaker 3: We get our hostages back in Gaza. There are celebrations.
- 8:57Speaker 3: And I would have sworn if you had told me
- 8:59Speaker 3: beforehand that normally when there is some kind of a
- 9:03Speaker 3: deal that's broker some kind of a peace deal, which
- 9:05Speaker 3: has been many of them when they had wars and
- 9:07Speaker 3: they had incursions and negotiated all of In this case,
- 9:12Speaker 3: it would be Palestinians would explode and Hamas would say
- 9:16Speaker 3: we won the war, we have prevailed, and all of
- 9:20Speaker 3: Gaza would explode and go yes, yes, yes, and demonstrations
- 9:24Speaker 3: yes we got the we got the Israelis. That's not
- 9:28Speaker 3: happening this time. For what I understand, the celebration is
- 9:31Speaker 3: the war is over.
- 9:33Speaker 7: Yeah there was. There was.
- 9:35Speaker 3: There was no throwing candy around and talking about winning,
- 9:38Speaker 3: which is always the case. And this I think shows
- 9:42Speaker 3: the extent of what this has done to both countries.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Of course, Gaza being the most affected affected of the
- 9:49Speaker 3: of all of that area the Mid East. Any other
- 9:52Speaker 3: issue is the only deal that's been cut, is that
- 9:55Speaker 3: partial withdrawal from Gaza hostages being exchanged. As far as
- 10:02Speaker 3: disarmament of Hamas, as far as its ability to continue governing,
- 10:07Speaker 3: that's still up in the air, that has not been negotiated.
- 10:11Speaker 3: But the good news is the hostages are coming home.
- 10:15Speaker 7: Okay, the hostages home.
- 10:16Speaker 5: And that's what's happening. And then this may sound as
- 10:20Speaker 5: weird as you can get.
- 10:22Speaker 3: But I think Donald Trump has a shot of the
- 10:25Speaker 3: Nobel Peace Prize. This would not have happened without Trump.
- 10:30Speaker 7: But that's the thing.
- 10:32Speaker 8: Either he did it or he didn't, and either it
- 10:35Speaker 8: love him or hate him.
- 10:37Speaker 5: He pulled this one off.
- 10:38Speaker 7: He's the guy.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Everybody agrees that if it weren't for Trump, this wouldn't
- 10:44Speaker 3: have happened, or it would have been much more difficult.
- 10:47Speaker 8: All right, So you know, the law is fascinating but confusing.
- 10:52Speaker 8: So there was ruling yesterday afternoon. Three judge panel I
- 10:59Speaker 8: think one was appointed by Clinton too by Trump. They
- 11:06Speaker 8: stayed in order barring President Trump from bringing two hundred
- 11:09Speaker 8: organ National Guard troops under federal control and sending them
- 11:14Speaker 8: into Portland. So it basically allows him to have control
- 11:20Speaker 8: over those two hundred organ National Guard troops.
- 11:23Speaker 3: But you can't but you can't move. Yeah, so here,
- 11:26Speaker 3: enjoy yourself. You can't do anything with it.
- 11:28Speaker 8: Yeah, you can have all the chess pieces on the board,
- 11:31Speaker 8: you just can't move them.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Yep, that's basically what it is. I mean pending. These
- 11:36Speaker 3: are all temporary measures. They have not yet heard the
- 11:41Speaker 3: merits of the case. In other words, the underlying facts
- 11:43Speaker 3: that determine is it legal? Is it not legal? This
- 11:46Speaker 3: is all this temporary stuff, temporary bands, temporary reliefs of bands.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Okay, moving on.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Katie Porter apparently has a problem with follow up questions.
- 11:58Speaker 4: So she's run for governor and she sat down for
- 12:02Speaker 4: an interview with CBS News in Sacramento, little one on one.
- 12:07Speaker 4: I don't know if you guys have seen the video.
- 12:08Speaker 4: I watched it yesterday. It's entertaining, to say the least.
- 12:12Speaker 4: And the reporters are asking her questions, and specifically she said,
- 12:15Speaker 4: what do you say to the forty percent of California
- 12:17Speaker 4: voters who you'll need in order to win, who voted
- 12:20Speaker 4: for Trump? Well, then Katie is like, well, how would
- 12:23Speaker 4: I need them in order to win? And then she says,
- 12:25Speaker 4: I feel like this is being unnecessarily argumentative.
- 12:28Speaker 2: What's your question? And she just bristles.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Then she threatens to stop the interview, and she's like,
- 12:36Speaker 4: I'm an investigative reporter.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I'm just asking you questions.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Everybody else, Yeah, everybody else has answered the questions, and
- 12:42Speaker 4: Katie did not want to answer it. She didn't want
- 12:44Speaker 4: the follow up. She didn't like the I think she
- 12:46Speaker 4: didn't like the digging deeper into the question, the.
- 12:49Speaker 5: Answer is crazy.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I'd like to get as many Trump voters as I
- 12:53Speaker 3: can to vote for me.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Maybe she doesn't want them.
- 12:57Speaker 5: A politician saying I don't want voters.
- 13:00Speaker 7: She's a weird cat.
- 13:03Speaker 8: She seems like the lady on the street that nobody
- 13:05Speaker 8: wants to go by her house. Did you see the
- 13:07Speaker 8: other video that came out I think this morning of
- 13:10Speaker 8: her telling her her staff she was doing a video
- 13:13Speaker 8: and a staff is walking by and she keeps yelling,
- 13:16Speaker 8: you're in my effing shot.
- 13:19Speaker 3: I like that.
- 13:20Speaker 2: See that's it sounds like something you do.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Yeah. Absolutely, Yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 2: It wasn't the best look for miss Morkan.
- 13:30Speaker 5: No, it was not.
- 13:31Speaker 3: She's not the sharpest dresser either. She could use airdresser. Well,
- 13:37Speaker 3: I would go further, all right, So.
- 13:45Speaker 7: No, it's a limit. It's not about being physically ugly.
- 13:49Speaker 7: It's about making yourself ugly.
- 13:52Speaker 5: And I edited myself. Okay, Neil went beyond what I did.
- 13:56Speaker 8: No, such shame on you. Yes you did, Yes, you
- 13:59Speaker 8: just on a thereman. Thursday, exactly, Arizona's Democratic senators got
- 14:05Speaker 8: into a brawl in the hallway.
- 14:07Speaker 7: You remember that happened in radio like you'd have.
- 14:12Speaker 8: Chris Little getting into it with like Ken Champeau and
- 14:15Speaker 8: the Halloways yelling at each other.
- 14:16Speaker 7: Back in the day.
- 14:18Speaker 8: Well, that's going on, but this time with politicians confrontations.
- 14:23Speaker 8: Some Arizona Democratic Senators get into it with a Republican
- 14:26Speaker 8: House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday over the you know,
- 14:31Speaker 8: government shut down going into its eighth or ninth day,
- 14:33Speaker 8: I think at this point, and they're just yelling at
- 14:37Speaker 8: each others because you've got the speaker decision not to
- 14:42Speaker 8: swear in Democrats' newest congress woman elect until the government
- 14:47Speaker 8: opens back up again.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I really pissed off because they're saying
- 14:51Speaker 3: she was going to make the do the final vote
- 14:54Speaker 3: to force the Epstein trials Epstein files to be released,
- 14:57Speaker 3: forcing the government and of course Trump doesn't want to release.
- 15:02Speaker 3: So Mike Johnson is doing everything not to have him released,
- 15:05Speaker 3: including not swearing her in, and he says we're not
- 15:08Speaker 3: in session, and then haking Jeffrey said.
- 15:12Speaker 5: But wait a minute.
- 15:14Speaker 3: You swore in a couple of Republicans Jimmy Petronis and
- 15:17Speaker 3: Randy Fine out of session. Why aren't you allowing this
- 15:22Speaker 3: to be sworn in? Well, I her to be sworn in. Well,
- 15:26Speaker 3: the reason I did it for them is because they
- 15:27Speaker 3: had family here and that was that's the exception.
- 15:32Speaker 5: It's just it's just it's it's ridiculous. I mean, it's
- 15:35Speaker 5: just ridiculous.
- 15:36Speaker 3: So she's gonna he wants that vote not to ever
- 15:40Speaker 3: happen because the President says I don't want this released.
- 15:45Speaker 5: That's it, and he's done. You know. That's Mike Johnson.
- 15:48Speaker 5: I've said this over and over again.
- 15:49Speaker 3: My favorite quote of Mike Johnson is he is here
- 15:54Speaker 3: as speaker, not to run the House, not to represent
- 16:02Speaker 3: his constituents. He said, quote, I am here to make
- 16:06Speaker 3: sure that Donald Trump's.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Agenda goes through. That's my duty here.
- 16:11Speaker 8: So but no one's explained why the Biden administration that
- 16:17Speaker 8: had the same file access never released them.
- 16:20Speaker 3: That is correct. No one has explained that. That is
- 16:23Speaker 3: a very legitimate question. They could have all this, Yeah me,
- 16:28Speaker 3: could they end if it is as negative as it looks?
- 16:32Speaker 3: Because why would Trump go so crazy as to not
- 16:35Speaker 3: to release it. There have to be something there that
- 16:37Speaker 3: makes them look bad. Biden was running against Trump, why
- 16:42Speaker 3: wouldn't he release the negative I don't get.
- 16:44Speaker 7: It was hunter ever on the island.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I think it's because everybody was in on it.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Maybe everybody. It could be everybody.
- 16:53Speaker 2: It makes everybody look bad both sides.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree Bill Clinton was involved with Epstein, I
- 16:59Speaker 3: mean not involved actually, But Epstein was a very social,
- 17:02Speaker 3: wealthy guy who hung out in those circles and stooped
- 17:07Speaker 3: everything that.
- 17:08Speaker 5: He could see.
- 17:09Speaker 7: Release the files, released the Kraken while you're at it.
- 17:13Speaker 5: Yeah, but I think Amy has a point.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I think we're going to find out that a lot
- 17:17Speaker 3: of people are involved that in those files, not necessarily
- 17:21Speaker 3: being involved in sexual you know, sexual escapades that are illegal.
- 17:25Speaker 5: Immoral, or inappropriate. Well, no, inappropriately, I think people stooping,
- 17:29Speaker 5: even adults. If you're a public figure, it gets to
- 17:32Speaker 5: be inappropriate.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I never have to worry about that, never, because everybody
- 17:38Speaker 3: says no to me, no matter how much I try,
- 17:40Speaker 3: So that gets really easy.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Well, it looks like the haunted mansion may now be
- 17:45Speaker 4: haunted for real. A woman in her sixties died on
- 17:50Speaker 4: the ride. She was found unresponsive at the end of
- 17:54Speaker 4: the ride, so she's in the doom buggy and apparently
- 17:57Speaker 4: didn't get off the ride. It happened about six on
- 18:01Speaker 4: October sixth, and paramedics were called in. They tried CPR,
- 18:05Speaker 4: they took her to the hospital, but she later died.
- 18:08Speaker 4: They're saying that, or she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
- 18:11Speaker 4: They're saying that they don't think it had anything to
- 18:12Speaker 4: do with the ride. It was just an unfortunate set
- 18:15Speaker 4: of circumstances.
- 18:16Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, that many people.
- 18:20Speaker 5: Someone's gonna die. Someone's going to die.
- 18:22Speaker 7: It's going to be their time when they're.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Now do they was she accompanied by a friendly ghost
- 18:27Speaker 3: as when she went to the uh.
- 18:29Speaker 2: The Great Beyond?
- 18:30Speaker 5: Yeah, we don't know.
- 18:32Speaker 7: Get it out of your system, buddy, go ahead, No
- 18:33Speaker 7: I can't. I can't. Nine and ninety nine now, I
- 18:38Speaker 7: just get it all out of your system.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Can't do it? Okay, moving on.
- 18:42Speaker 7: I was there on Tuesday.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Oh and this happened. This happened when Monday, Monday evening,
- 18:47Speaker 5: Monday evening.
- 18:49Speaker 2: And then the ride reopened.
- 18:51Speaker 7: Well yeah, well but did they.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Take that doom buggy out of service? Isn't that probably not?
- 18:56Speaker 7: I mean, what she just uh why would you take it?
- 19:00Speaker 5: She finished writing, It was probably fine. She just you know,
- 19:03Speaker 5: had a heart attack or something and die.
- 19:04Speaker 3: They would tell us the cause of death, but you know,
- 19:08Speaker 3: I mean people die now, when they die in now,
- 19:11Speaker 3: when they die in the haunted mansion, that becomes news.
- 19:16Speaker 8: Okay, okay, James Comy still in the news. Who would
- 19:23Speaker 8: a thunk it? He bleed, he pleaded not guilty. Yesterday
- 19:28Speaker 8: was his first court appearance in the criminal case. And
- 19:32Speaker 8: this all has to deal with allegations that he lied
- 19:34Speaker 8: to Congress five years ago. And the whole process is
- 19:39Speaker 8: kickstarting into what is going to be a legal wrestling match.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Well, I think it's probably gonna get tossed beforehand because
- 19:47Speaker 3: one of the arguments of the defense is bringing up
- 19:49Speaker 3: and said what almost immediately is this is vindictive and
- 19:51Speaker 3: selective prosecution, no question about it.
- 19:54Speaker 5: A couple of things going on.
- 19:55Speaker 3: First of all, the President called for his for going
- 20:02Speaker 3: after him straight out, and a week later went ends
- 20:06Speaker 3: up happening. Well, the attorney for the Southern District, the
- 20:13Speaker 3: US attorney for the Southern District, gets fired, replaced by
- 20:17Speaker 3: President's personal attorney who had never been a prosecutor, and
- 20:21Speaker 3: she decides now she's going to go after Kobe. The
- 20:24Speaker 3: previous attorney said we don't have enough evidence here, and
- 20:27Speaker 3: that was told to the President, who said, go ahead.
- 20:30Speaker 3: I mean, this is all on the record, and so
- 20:32Speaker 3: their defense are going, Man, if this isn't prosecutorial misconduct,
- 20:37Speaker 3: and this was the report yesterday, I was reported on CNN,
- 20:41Speaker 3: and that is the witness that the government is bringing
- 20:45Speaker 3: where the case is based on. This is why the
- 20:47Speaker 3: previous attorney said, there's nothing here said. This is lying
- 20:52Speaker 3: in Congress that Comy is accused of obstruction and lying
- 20:56Speaker 3: in Congress about a leak that happened that he said
- 20:59Speaker 3: he did that authorized the leak. And so the government
- 21:03Speaker 3: is saying, we haven't. We have evidence that you did
- 21:08Speaker 3: authorize the leak, and we have a witness that contradicts
- 21:13Speaker 3: what you said. Well, it turns out, from what I understand,
- 21:17Speaker 3: the witness said exactly the opposite, that Kobe in fact
- 21:22Speaker 3: told him not to leak any information.
- 21:27Speaker 5: And so where are they going to go.
- 21:28Speaker 3: They're gonna bring up what one witness who's going to say, no,
- 21:32Speaker 3: I didn't say it. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury,
- 21:35Speaker 3: we demand you convict. That's what was reported.
- 21:40Speaker 5: Amy. You're looking at me like you're about to say something.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Well, I was just I was just curious to ask
- 21:45Speaker 4: you if that's the case, why would it was thirteen
- 21:50Speaker 4: members of the grand jury voted for it.
- 21:52Speaker 2: It wasn't unanimous base.
- 21:53Speaker 5: I'll tell you why.
- 21:55Speaker 3: I'll tell you why, because all the grand jury, all
- 21:57Speaker 3: the prosecutor has to do is go up and say
- 21:59Speaker 3: we have evidence that he said it. Don't have to
- 22:02Speaker 3: prove that evidence. We simply have to allege it. There's
- 22:05Speaker 3: no defense allowed in there. The defendant is not even
- 22:08Speaker 3: in the room. It's just an indictment. It's almost impossible
- 22:13Speaker 3: to get what it's called a no bill, where the
- 22:16Speaker 3: grand jury says no, we're not going to do it.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Usually it's unanimous. I mean, there is no issue. You
- 22:22Speaker 3: get the indictment. I mean it comes out of there
- 22:24Speaker 3: as automatic. There's a phrase the grand jury will dye
- 22:27Speaker 3: a ham sandwich. It's impossible. And this was close. There
- 22:33Speaker 3: were a substantial number of grand jurors that said, no,
- 22:37Speaker 3: this case is going to disappear. But it doesn't matter.
- 22:39Speaker 3: I talked about this yesterday. It doesn't matter when the
- 22:41Speaker 3: government loses. In these cases. The government wins because it's
- 22:45Speaker 3: not about winning or losing. It's about making life miserable
- 22:49Speaker 3: for the defendant. It's hundreds of thousands of dollars in
- 22:53Speaker 3: defense costs. That's the problem, all right.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Big science news. More pigs than people. Doctors in China
- 23:03Speaker 4: say they have transplanted a genetically modified pig liver into
- 23:08Speaker 4: a seventy one year old man. He lived one hundred
- 23:10Speaker 4: and seventy one days after the procedure. And this is
- 23:13Speaker 4: the part I don't get. It says that thirty eight
- 23:15Speaker 4: of those days were with the pig organ in place, because.
- 23:19Speaker 3: It's probably the organ was outside of you know, like
- 23:22Speaker 3: they when the first heart transplants, the machine et ceter.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Was outside the artificial hearts. Now they put him in
- 23:29Speaker 3: the hearts. Then they were these big boxes, so it
- 23:32Speaker 3: was sitting outside.
- 23:34Speaker 5: I'm assuming that's the case.
- 23:35Speaker 2: That could be it. Do you still have a pig park?
- 23:37Speaker 7: Oh?
- 23:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I do in your heart? I do, yeah, I have.
- 23:41Speaker 3: I have an aortic valve. These are modified pigs. Where
- 23:49Speaker 3: did they get the heart to put the valve in?
- 23:51Speaker 5: Good point? They are genetically they are raised.
- 23:55Speaker 3: They are raised just for this, and then their valves
- 24:01Speaker 3: are used to create human valves.
- 24:04Speaker 5: And it's a it's pretty high end science. And the
- 24:08Speaker 5: bacon from.
- 24:08Speaker 10: These pigs is great, delicious, it's a delicious, yes, already
- 24:17Speaker 10: on from handles, pig parts. Speaking of things we put
- 24:22Speaker 10: in our body. You've got California and acting along with
- 24:26Speaker 10: Governor gab Newsoen, dealing with ultra processed foods or what
- 24:31Speaker 10: they call upfs, and they want these out of children's
- 24:36Speaker 10: hands and out of the meals served to the one billion,
- 24:41Speaker 10: over one billion California school children annually.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I think there aren't a billion California school children. I
- 24:48Speaker 3: think they may talk about meals over a.
- 24:49Speaker 5: Period of time.
- 24:51Speaker 8: Yeah, there are for meals served to over one billion
- 24:55Speaker 8: California children annually.
- 24:58Speaker 7: I don't know how that works. Yes, yeah, concailing.
- 25:02Speaker 3: The entire population of the United States is three hundred
- 25:04Speaker 3: and forty million billion kids.
- 25:09Speaker 8: CNN has the worst writing ever of any news service
- 25:13Speaker 8: I've ever seen.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Yeah, anyway, horrible. So California is going to do that,
- 25:17Speaker 3: and lawsuits are gonna be flying all over the place.
- 25:20Speaker 3: They bring children in from China to feed them.
- 25:23Speaker 5: Yeah, and you know, you got Costco and you have Walmart.
- 25:25Speaker 3: They're all going to be suing the state off, the
- 25:27Speaker 3: state's ass off because you know, ultra processed food I
- 25:30Speaker 3: mean that's America.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Well, they have some time. It doesn't go into effect
- 25:34Speaker 2: until twenty thirty five.
- 25:36Speaker 7: There you go.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Oh dead, Someone didn't hit the brakes. Apparently eight people
- 25:42Speaker 4: got hurt when a Metrolink train pulling up to Union
- 25:46Speaker 4: Station crashed into a train that was sitting at the
- 25:49Speaker 4: station platform. Eighty five passengers were on board, eight taken
- 25:54Speaker 4: to the Eight were injured, but the most of.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Them were minor.
- 26:01Speaker 5: All right, I was not on it, so I don't care.
- 26:04Speaker 2: How does that happen. Don't they have sensors.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I think they do have sensors, But how do I
- 26:10Speaker 3: know how it happens. Maybe someone was asleep at the wheel.
- 26:17Speaker 8: Well, sensors could break down. If they do have them,
- 26:20Speaker 8: anything can happen. This is a nice story. You've got
- 26:25Speaker 8: the Palisades Charter High School. They have a football team
- 26:29Speaker 8: and they are now able, with the help of the
- 26:34Speaker 8: LA Rams, to practice and it's very cool. So the
- 26:38Speaker 8: Los Angeles Rams invited the school's junior varsity university football
- 26:41Speaker 8: teams to practice on their field, and they got a
- 26:44Speaker 8: tour of the RAMS locker room and all of those things. Obviously,
- 26:49Speaker 8: this is all because of those horrible fires in January.
- 26:53Speaker 7: They're in the Palisades.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Yeah, let me ask you how excited it would be
- 26:58Speaker 3: of a tour of a smelly locker room.
- 27:02Speaker 7: Well, you don't see it like that.
- 27:05Speaker 8: You see it like where you know, gladiators come together
- 27:10Speaker 8: and psyche themselves up.
- 27:12Speaker 3: And to get on the shower and throw towels into
- 27:16Speaker 3: bins after they snap each other with them.
- 27:18Speaker 5: Yes, that's true, I got your nose.
- 27:21Speaker 7: Yeah, you know they play. That's how they get psicked
- 27:25Speaker 7: up for the game.
- 27:28Speaker 2: A little tit for tat going on.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Apparently, top Russian diplomat says that Russia would swiftly carry
- 27:36Speaker 4: out a nuclear test if the United States does the same. Apparently,
- 27:41Speaker 4: the US has been working to get its testing infrastructure ready,
- 27:45Speaker 4: according to the RIA News Agency.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't understand this story because testing used to
- 27:52Speaker 3: be you would set off a nuclear device.
- 27:56Speaker 5: I mean it used to be up in the atmosphere.
- 27:58Speaker 3: And in nineteen sixty the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty was
- 28:01Speaker 3: signed up to the United States and Russia, so no
- 28:04Speaker 3: more nuclear testing, so and no more atmospheric testing.
- 28:07Speaker 5: So it all went underground.
- 28:09Speaker 3: So that's where the testing took place, underground, And of
- 28:12Speaker 3: course the entire world knew about it because you size
- 28:16Speaker 3: sizemographically you could tell and they know instantly when it
- 28:19Speaker 3: goes off.
- 28:20Speaker 5: Now it's all computer simulations. They don't set off bombs,
- 28:24Speaker 5: So I don't get this.
- 28:27Speaker 7: How would they know.
- 28:29Speaker 5: That a test would take place? So I don't understand
- 28:31Speaker 5: that at all. Maybe it's uh testing that actually physically
- 28:38Speaker 5: takes place.
- 28:39Speaker 3: So that's news to me, and we have to look
- 28:40Speaker 3: that out because that way, I want to sound like
- 28:44Speaker 3: I know what I'm talking about, but I can't say
- 28:46Speaker 3: we have to look it up.
- 28:49Speaker 7: I'll tell you what or yeah, I know we're not
- 28:52Speaker 7: what we're talking about when it came.
- 28:53Speaker 5: We never know what. We never know what we're talking about.
- 28:57Speaker 7: I didn't know if you wanted me to get to
- 28:58Speaker 7: the porn hub story.
- 29:00Speaker 5: Uh yeah, and porn hub. Okay, Well, they say.
- 29:03Speaker 8: They don't have to follow the Ohio law because the
- 29:06Speaker 8: Ohio law says you have to have a photo, idea
- 29:09Speaker 8: or other verification uh to show that you're of age
- 29:13Speaker 8: to be able to use certain or buy porn or
- 29:17Speaker 8: any of these things. But they say it doesn't apply
- 29:19Speaker 8: to them because of the interactive computer services UH term.
- 29:24Speaker 8: It's a broad term that courts have ruled includes like Google, Meta,
- 29:29Speaker 8: other web hosting platforms that allows them not to be
- 29:34Speaker 8: I don't know, liable for stuff that's on there.
- 29:39Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:39Speaker 3: That this is all thing that's going to be going
- 29:41Speaker 3: and being litigated in law, is going to be passed
- 29:43Speaker 3: for for years and years.
- 29:46Speaker 8: So you know, they say, where we can do this, Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 8: but there's nothing. There's nothing but porn I imagined. So
- 29:53Speaker 8: how can they say whereas Google or Meta you could say,
- 29:56Speaker 8: I don't know, we'd have to ask Knoll than porn
- 30:00Speaker 8: on porn.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Yeah, well there's one that just came up with grinder
- 30:03Speaker 5: for kids dot com.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Oh boy, okay, gross, that is gross. That's the bottom
- 30:09Speaker 3: as offensive as you can possibly get.
- 30:15Speaker 7: Look at it. I know I did.
- 30:16Speaker 5: Cono is hard to offend.
- 30:18Speaker 3: And he's from the ie Yeah, and he he goes
- 30:21Speaker 3: to that website on a regular basis and he's a.
- 30:24Speaker 10: Porn porn one the one that you okay, the stories
- 30:28Speaker 10: for the actors actresses understood a line.
- 30:33Speaker 3: To practice practice if you want to be a pizza
- 30:35Speaker 3: delivery person, you want to practice and watch the film.
- 30:38Speaker 7: Okay, we are done with the news. K f I
