- 0:10Speaker 1: Today to be breaking for the Nature, Combat to breaking
- 0:26Speaker 1: first album, Bad Baking, Combat to thirty.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Breaking, Let's go breaking for the leaders Combat today to
- 0:59Speaker 2: breaking person.
- 1:29Speaker 3: All right, good morning. I want to say, first off
- 1:34Speaker 3: this morning, a big shout out to Legacy Card Traders,
- 1:37Speaker 3: a local, family run trading card company that absolutely loves
- 1:44Speaker 3: the hobby. They might even beline. I wouldn't even say borderline.
- 1:48Speaker 3: They are. They're obsessed with it. They just love what
- 1:51Speaker 3: they do. Check them out on Facebook. Also shout out
- 1:55Speaker 3: this morning to Montpellier Volkswagen and Masta. Yeah where rates
- 2:03Speaker 3: right now? Zero percent APR financing for up to sixty months,
- 2:06Speaker 3: one point nine percent for seventy two months on the
- 2:11Speaker 3: twenty four ty wand which is a gorgeous vehicle. I
- 2:16Speaker 3: don't know if you've seen the pictures on Facebook that
- 2:19Speaker 3: I've been posting up about these, but yeah, huge savings
- 2:22Speaker 3: is what it all adds up to. I hope you're
- 2:24Speaker 3: doing just fine on this new day. Yesterday has started
- 2:29Speaker 3: out by saying, you know, I don't know, I don't
- 2:34Speaker 3: know how much water I should be drinking every day.
- 2:39Speaker 3: And I got some great comments about that, and I
- 2:41Speaker 3: did a little bit of googling last night. Paul Brody
- 2:45Speaker 3: is with me this morning, and I was just saying
- 2:49Speaker 3: to you just a minute ago that pure coincidence.
- 2:54Speaker 4: I'm looking at legacy card traders because you told me to.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Aren't Facebook? Aren't they cool? Yeah, it's a really cool thing.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I got I started. I got a couple of
- 3:02Speaker 4: baseball cards last year. I haven't collected baseball cards since
- 3:05Speaker 4: I was, you know, thirteen or something of that. But
- 3:07Speaker 4: last year I got a couple of Mets players that
- 3:10Speaker 4: I didn't have cards for since I stopped collecting a
- 3:12Speaker 4: long time ago.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 4: I used to have a lot of massive, massive collection
- 3:17Speaker 4: of cards and comics.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:18Speaker 4: And then in high school and one of my moments
- 3:20Speaker 4: I regret, even though I try not to have regrets,
- 3:22Speaker 4: I sold them to a local shop for pennies. But
- 3:29Speaker 4: it was just one of those things where I was seventeen,
- 3:30Speaker 4: driving around, we wanted money, go to McDonald's, just some
- 3:32Speaker 4: stupid thing, skip school and drive up to Burlington and oh, man,
- 3:38Speaker 4: like she's it's like nineteen ninety seven or something. The
- 3:41Speaker 4: air thousands, probably thousands of dollars and I gave it
- 3:44Speaker 4: away for thirty bucks. I'm sure so embarrassing.
- 3:48Speaker 3: These guys. Bring it up, j D.
- 3:49Speaker 4: I can't talk to you anything active.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Too painful. These guys were were just on the air
- 3:55Speaker 3: with me not too long ago, and what they're what
- 3:58Speaker 3: they're doing here in Central is unbelievable. Check them out.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Yesterday I was talking about water consumption. You know, you
- 4:06Speaker 3: know we you know, some of us say, well, in
- 4:08Speaker 3: the new year. You know, one of my resolutions for
- 4:11Speaker 3: lack of a better term, and I know you and
- 4:12Speaker 3: I have talked about this greatly resolutions and is to
- 4:16Speaker 3: drink more water. How much water did we drink? You know,
- 4:19Speaker 3: do we put anything in the water? And are we
- 4:21Speaker 3: getting our electrolights?
- 4:22Speaker 4: Sore about putting things in the water. The government's doing
- 4:25Speaker 4: plenty of that for all here we go. It's not
- 4:29Speaker 4: what you put into the water, it's what you take
- 4:31Speaker 4: out of the water, and it's important.
- 4:34Speaker 3: But you know, I was just saying to you, just
- 4:36Speaker 3: out of coincidence, just over the last I don't know,
- 4:39Speaker 3: a week or so, I've just like, for no reason,
- 4:44Speaker 3: I've just kind of stopped drinking coffee, just no reason
- 4:48Speaker 3: at all, Just I'm just busy, for whatever reason, I'm
- 4:52Speaker 3: just out of the house and follow your body. Yeah,
- 4:56Speaker 3: and I'm feeling it in the morning, I'm a little
- 5:00Speaker 3: what are you feeling, well, a little foggy? Yeah, not
- 5:03Speaker 3: connected is quickly head to tongue connection.
- 5:08Speaker 4: So you know what happens when you wake up, you
- 5:11Speaker 4: stop sleeping. Yeah, as a joke, Yeah, Cortisol is one
- 5:15Speaker 4: of these hormones that plays into the waking up process,
- 5:18Speaker 4: and caffeine will take the place of cortisol in a
- 5:22Speaker 4: caffeine dependence situation. So if you're drinking coffee, I think
- 5:25Speaker 4: recommendation is wait at least two hours after you wake
- 5:27Speaker 4: up before you have caffeine, otherwise it can interfere with
- 5:30Speaker 4: that natural wake up process. So if you're drinking coffee
- 5:33Speaker 4: first thing in the morning, then you're likely creating a
- 5:35Speaker 4: situation of caffeine dependence, even if you're not drinking like
- 5:37Speaker 4: massive coffee all day long, constantly or anything. It's just
- 5:40Speaker 4: it's more about the timing. I mean, there's probably more too.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I'm not a nutritionous so you know, check do your
- 5:45Speaker 4: research and stuff like that, but there's that that the
- 5:47Speaker 4: timing of when you first consume caffeine or today can't
- 5:50Speaker 4: impact your waking up process. So if you stop drinking,
- 5:52Speaker 4: then you're likely going through caffeine withdrawals or possibly going
- 5:55Speaker 4: through caffeine withdraws, and it'll take a little while for
- 5:57Speaker 4: your body to adjust. But because what happens is you're
- 6:00Speaker 4: essentially outsourcing the same thing with opiate dependence and all
- 6:02Speaker 4: these any kind of dependence, right, you're outsourcing the function
- 6:05Speaker 4: of a of an internal chemical to an external source.
- 6:08Speaker 4: And so the body is all about conserving energy. It's
- 6:11Speaker 4: going to stop producing that that product because you're outsourcing it.
- 6:15Speaker 4: And then once you stop outsourcing it, now.
- 6:17Speaker 3: There's a dearth.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a lack of it, so it needs to
- 6:21Speaker 4: rebuild it, uh or restore it, but might take some time.
- 6:24Speaker 4: So the brain fod or whatever you're experiencing might might
- 6:27Speaker 4: be that it's just you feel groggy because your body's
- 6:30Speaker 4: used to having that. Well you've got you've superseded the
- 6:34Speaker 4: natural course, so you're you're doing a good thing for
- 6:37Speaker 4: yourself in that regard.
- 6:42Speaker 3: No, it doesn't.
- 6:42Speaker 4: And a lot of times when we stop an unhealthy thing,
- 6:46Speaker 4: it takes some time. The the pain is often in
- 6:48Speaker 4: the recovery like that, the healing process hurts you ever
- 6:51Speaker 4: get a cut, and then when it's when it's healing,
- 6:53Speaker 4: it's itches. Yeah, this is the healing process, and so
- 6:57Speaker 4: it's a good thing for you.
- 6:58Speaker 3: But we've heard so much that coffee is good for you.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Elements of it are right. I mean, I grew up Mormon,
- 7:02Speaker 4: and the Mormon's prohibit coffee use as part of the
- 7:06Speaker 4: law of health that Joseph Smith established. Now I have
- 7:09Speaker 4: an entirely different opinion of that stuff now having left
- 7:12Speaker 4: that belief system. And by my research, it seems that
- 7:17Speaker 4: so there was a some kind of like Journal of
- 7:18Speaker 4: Health or something, some article, some magazine from eighteen oh
- 7:21Speaker 4: five or whatever, some periodical from that time where someone
- 7:24Speaker 4: had written up this method to be healthy, and that
- 7:27Speaker 4: proscribed proscribe is the apps of the prescribe. Prescribe means
- 7:30Speaker 4: you should do this. Proscribe means don't do this. It
- 7:32Speaker 4: proscribes coffee, tee, and alcohol, and that's part of those
- 7:35Speaker 4: are the three of the main components of what Joseph
- 7:37Speaker 4: Smith said he received his revelation from God. Not trying
- 7:41Speaker 4: to ditch or bad mouth or but you know, I
- 7:43Speaker 4: have a little bit of a bias against this from
- 7:45Speaker 4: my life experience. They'll forgive me if you don't like
- 7:48Speaker 4: the way I'm presenting this But my opinion now is
- 7:51Speaker 4: that he was influenced by that art. His parents probably
- 7:54Speaker 4: raised him up with that belief, and he put it
- 7:56Speaker 4: into God's law when he created this church. But anyway,
- 8:00Speaker 4: so I grew up with no coffee, so it's not
- 8:02Speaker 4: a thing for me. I've tried it since leaving the church.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Oh what is this?
- 8:05Speaker 4: What is the hype? I don't like it. The caffeine
- 8:08Speaker 4: is not pleasant, which is interesting because I've had caffeinated sodas.
- 8:11Speaker 4: And you know, some people believe that Mormons don't drink caffeine.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Oh it's not the caffeine. It's just God said don't.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Don't if if you believe that. Yeah, this guy's a
- 8:19Speaker 4: prophet and he says, God said do.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Not drink coffee.
- 8:21Speaker 4: We don't drink coffee. It's not if he said do not,
- 8:23Speaker 4: do not drink water, you wouldn't drink water. So it's
- 8:25Speaker 4: nothing to do with the content of what's in it.
- 8:26Speaker 4: It's just the item itself. Anyway, So, so I grew
- 8:30Speaker 4: up believing the coffee is bad for you. Why because
- 8:32Speaker 4: God said so, you know. And then you see these
- 8:33Speaker 4: stories and say, oh, there's tannic acid and there's these
- 8:35Speaker 4: things and we would justify that as if our faith
- 8:37Speaker 4: wasn't enough, we go, oh see, that's why Joseph. It
- 8:39Speaker 4: proves that he's a prophet because he was told not
- 8:41Speaker 4: to do it. And here's the root, the proof why.
- 8:43Speaker 4: And then but it's not. You know, you don't need
- 8:45Speaker 4: that proof if you're if you're honestly believing it because
- 8:47Speaker 4: God said don't do it, then don't do it.
- 8:48Speaker 3: But well, I'll tell you right now. I I mean,
- 8:52Speaker 3: even Cheryl and was like, Jesus, you look like hell
- 8:55Speaker 3: and I'm like I and he said, what's the difference coffee?
- 8:58Speaker 3: What's the difference?
- 8:59Speaker 4: I always do we should say this is true?
- 9:02Speaker 3: What's standing out? And I'm listen. I might jump right
- 9:04Speaker 3: back into it tomorrow morning. First, head first, I'd love coffee.
- 9:08Speaker 4: But anyway, well just wait, just drink it two hours
- 9:11Speaker 4: after if you want to get rid of the brain
- 9:12Speaker 4: fog and stuff like that, stay what you're doing, take
- 9:14Speaker 4: a week off from it, at least seven days off,
- 9:16Speaker 4: and then then introduce it again. But wait two hours
- 9:18Speaker 4: after you wake up.
- 9:19Speaker 3: All right, that's good, good, good enough. We're getting some
- 9:22Speaker 3: comments this morning on this amazing couch that you're sitting on.
- 9:26Speaker 4: That is fantastic.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Do you love it? I love it. You don't know anything.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I don't know anybody. I saw it on yesterday on
- 9:31Speaker 4: the show, and I don't know nothing else about it
- 9:33Speaker 4: except for now I'm sitting on it, and it's almost
- 9:36Speaker 4: as comfortable as it looks.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Yeah, it only has a few mysterious stains.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Please don't bring up the stains. That's a whole nother
- 9:44Speaker 3: story tomorrow on the g Tomorrow on the G Spot,
- 9:50Speaker 3: we're going to we're gonna be talking about this, this
- 9:57Speaker 3: amazing couch in the story behind it, which so you'll
- 10:02Speaker 3: have to tune in too.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Here, well try, I'm not going to say tomorrow, but again.
- 10:08Speaker 3: It's gonna be fun tomorrow morning, G Spot. Right here
- 10:11Speaker 3: on aired out, we're looking at mostly cloudy skies today
- 10:14Speaker 3: low teens, tonight nine degrees and partly cloudy Thursday nineteen,
- 10:20Speaker 3: partly cloudy Friday twenty two, and partly sunny Saturday the weekend,
- 10:25Speaker 3: slight chance of snow on Saturday around twenty four and
- 10:30Speaker 3: Sunday twenty six and cloudy. So a little bit of
- 10:35Speaker 3: a snap right now. I don't think any of us
- 10:37Speaker 3: really should be surprised. I mean, after ah my god,
- 10:39Speaker 3: it's January eighth. It's cold up here in the North Country.
- 10:43Speaker 3: I think it was like two three degrees or so
- 10:46Speaker 3: when I woke up this morning at my house, and
- 10:48Speaker 3: it's like hovering right around what six or seven maybe
- 10:52Speaker 3: maybe eight degrees right now? Is cold. It is cold.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Good morning, Zach and Catherine and g and good morning guys.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Good morning. We hope you're doing well. And Glenn and
- 11:07Speaker 3: Donna Thunder who I want to mention Mora is going
- 11:12Speaker 3: to be coming on the air with me real soon, Donna,
- 11:14Speaker 3: because of what I saw that you had posted. So
- 11:18Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to that. It's gonna be Uh, it's
- 11:20Speaker 3: gonna be a lot of fun.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Uh.
- 11:24Speaker 3: We have in the news we're going to be talking
- 11:26Speaker 3: about wellness Wednesday here and just a little bit, we're
- 11:28Speaker 3: also going to be talking about the relationship the connection
- 11:34Speaker 3: between alcohol and cancer this morning, which, as you probably know,
- 11:39Speaker 3: the surge in general has been this has been all
- 11:41Speaker 3: over the news, and we're going to get into that
- 11:45Speaker 3: in just a little bit. Big story locally is uh,
- 11:51Speaker 3: there's just not you know, a whole hell of a
- 11:54Speaker 3: lot of stuff that's going on, but locally, the story
- 11:57Speaker 3: out of Montpellier that on Main Street there was there
- 12:01Speaker 3: was a report that was called into the police of
- 12:04Speaker 3: a stabbing I think yesterday in Montpelier. Police responded and
- 12:11Speaker 3: found no such thing, so it was a hoax. There
- 12:17Speaker 3: was not a stabbing in Montpelier, and police are trying
- 12:22Speaker 3: to find out more information and trying to find out
- 12:24Speaker 3: who this individual was that that called this it yesterday.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Other than that, I see there's a tractor trailer that
- 12:34Speaker 3: overturned over in Charlotte. Lots of drunk driving reports that
- 12:42Speaker 3: are coming up everywhere. I'm just seeing just almost daily.
- 12:50Speaker 3: And that's it, so you know, and you know, cabinet
- 12:55Speaker 3: choices going on of under the Golden Dome in Montpelier.
- 13:00Speaker 3: I mean, it's just I mean, what else. I don't
- 13:03Speaker 3: really think there's really anything else that's that's big in
- 13:06Speaker 3: the news. Let's talk about wellness Wednesday from Washington County
- 13:09Speaker 3: Mental Health. It is today Today's Wednesday, right, Paul, Yeah, Yes,
- 13:16Speaker 3: A lot of people so excited for the return. This
- 13:19Speaker 3: is going to be the first three Wednesdays of every
- 13:21Speaker 3: month right on I think until like April. So come out, relax,
- 13:28Speaker 3: enjoy this bayliness is going to be there. Go get well, yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 3: go get well and it's it's free. Yeah, it's free. Yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 3: right at the Well Space building, twenty three Summer Street.
- 13:42Speaker 3: But they've got it all. Reiki, myle facial body release,
- 13:47Speaker 3: they have chair and table massage, ear acupuncture, mindfulness, meditation.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Parking is free, everything is leave your wallet at home,
- 13:59Speaker 3: just park up stay if you park upstairs, it's on
- 14:02Speaker 3: the upper lot, the upper lot, because all all of
- 14:07Speaker 3: this is most of this is going on upstairs at
- 14:12Speaker 3: the well Space.
- 14:12Speaker 4: There was a lot over there.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, because you know they're still doing things down
- 14:18Speaker 3: on the first floor as a result of the flood.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Now listen if you and if you need help getting
- 14:23Speaker 3: into the building, if you have a wheelchair, whatever, that's
- 14:26Speaker 3: no problem. Just give them a call ahead when you're
- 14:28Speaker 3: making an appointment for seven nine four zero five to
- 14:31Speaker 3: five and they'll bring it in. If you need some
- 14:34Speaker 3: some special access from a mobility standpoint, they'll bring in
- 14:40Speaker 3: right through the front entrance. So four seven nine four
- 14:43Speaker 3: zero five five four thirty this afternoon is when it starts,
- 14:46Speaker 3: goes till seven o'clock.
- 14:47Speaker 4: So much benefit from doing those physical interventions, the different
- 14:50Speaker 4: kind of massage and puncture act pressure, all these things.
- 14:54Speaker 4: The body holds so much tension and all that is energy, no,
- 14:58Speaker 4: and this build up, build up, building up, and then
- 15:00Speaker 4: it creates other issues, inflammation and tension, inflammation, all these things.
- 15:04Speaker 4: And having this, the actual physical intervention of someone pressing
- 15:08Speaker 4: or putting needles or massage on these points in your
- 15:11Speaker 4: body releases that and you can find an incredible relief
- 15:16Speaker 4: even from one session of these things. It's amazing. So
- 15:18Speaker 4: if you have not done it, do it, eye it out.
- 15:20Speaker 3: It's free. You know me very well, I know you.
- 15:23Speaker 3: You know that I'm kind of naturally a skeptic about
- 15:29Speaker 3: a lot of stuff. Yeah, me too. And I went
- 15:31Speaker 3: in there and sat down with Bayleen. It was when
- 15:35Speaker 3: I met Baileen and I went to wellness Wednesday had
- 15:39Speaker 3: a pounding headache. I don't know if it was classified
- 15:43Speaker 3: as a migraine or not, but it was really bad.
- 15:45Speaker 3: It was. It was one of it was one of these, right,
- 15:49Speaker 3: you know, And I was just like, man, frankly, I
- 15:54Speaker 3: just wanted to go home. And I went in there
- 15:56Speaker 3: and he's so calm, and you know, he's like, all right,
- 15:59Speaker 3: where's your had to you know, show me where temple?
- 16:02Speaker 3: And I think it was in the back. Actually, now
- 16:04Speaker 3: that I remember it, this was a couple of years ago.
- 16:07Speaker 3: And he's like, you mind if I just, you know, uh,
- 16:12Speaker 3: do something. And I'm like, I don't care if you
- 16:16Speaker 3: drive a hot sword through my gut. If you can
- 16:22Speaker 3: get rid of this, I would be grateful. And he
- 16:25Speaker 3: was like, puts this little thing on my ear. I'm like,
- 16:31Speaker 3: what the hell is this all? What's going on here?
- 16:34Speaker 3: And he's like can you feel that? And I'm like
- 16:36Speaker 3: not really, and he's like give a little while and
- 16:40Speaker 3: I was like yeah, but and he's just like, just
- 16:45Speaker 3: shut up. But he didn't say now, of course, have
- 16:48Speaker 3: a sip of tea, sit over here, just be quiet
- 16:51Speaker 3: for a little while.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Ten minutes, ball gone pretty amazing gone.
- 17:00Speaker 3: And I was like, what the hell are you doing? Bro?
- 17:02Speaker 3: What's this? What's this magic? Yeah? It was this voodoo shit.
- 17:08Speaker 3: What's happening? I mean, it's really fascinating, it really is.
- 17:12Speaker 4: This has been studied for thousands of years, all this act,
- 17:16Speaker 4: all these pressure points, the energy meridians and stuff like that.
- 17:18Speaker 4: This isn't somebody just didn't just make it up. It's
- 17:20Speaker 4: all studied, it studied, improving thousands of years. Just because
- 17:25Speaker 4: Western medicine doesn't want to adopt. It doesn't mean it's
- 17:27Speaker 4: not legitimate. I know this is real stuff. It works,
- 17:30Speaker 4: it's really So I finally got back into doing chigung
- 17:34Speaker 4: exercises daily two days before Christmas. I started again. I've
- 17:38Speaker 4: been off and on with that and I hadn't done
- 17:40Speaker 4: it for a long time, and I finally so I
- 17:41Speaker 4: started doing it. I probably sleep now, I'll fall asleep,
- 17:44Speaker 4: I'll sleep four or five hours, and I'm awake and
- 17:46Speaker 4: I'm kind of like just in and out of sleep
- 17:48Speaker 4: for another two hours or three hours like it had bed.
- 17:50Speaker 4: And so I started doing a nightly routine for chigung
- 17:53Speaker 4: and I've done that every night now since the Monday
- 17:56Speaker 4: before Christmas. So it's two weeks. And after three or
- 17:59Speaker 4: four days I started sleeping better. I had a night
- 18:02Speaker 4: where I slept six or seven hours straight. It's the
- 18:04Speaker 4: first time in a long time I slept straight through
- 18:06Speaker 4: like that. It's amazing. And it's you know, in each
- 18:08Speaker 4: of the points in this routine, it's it's the so
- 18:12Speaker 4: I forget the name is funk shua funk shit function,
- 18:14Speaker 4: I think, and like the omion and points at the
- 18:17Speaker 4: back of the skull and there's two points back here
- 18:20Speaker 4: and the temple essentially, and then uh, the is the
- 18:23Speaker 4: heart seven I think point here and then uh, I
- 18:27Speaker 4: don't know, I forget what the names the Chinese names.
- 18:29Speaker 3: I don't know. It was just about the book that
- 18:32Speaker 3: what was the book that you brought in last It.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Was a seven healing chakras. It's just related to I mean,
- 18:36Speaker 4: it's all the same stuff, but it's this is different.
- 18:38Speaker 4: But this is a Jeffrey Chand on YouTube. I think
- 18:41Speaker 4: his channel is called community, uh like Chiegung community, and
- 18:45Speaker 4: so he does Chiegung routines and explains the points and
- 18:48Speaker 4: explains which why why it has different themes for each
- 18:50Speaker 4: routine and stuff. But I do it every night, and
- 18:52Speaker 4: it's supposed to be calming and help you sleep better
- 18:54Speaker 4: and does fascinating you get tried it out, but you
- 18:56Speaker 4: got to commit to it. You you gotta put some
- 18:57Speaker 4: effort to but you're gonna feel benefit Like you had
- 19:00Speaker 4: benefit from one one essentially one session of acupuncture. You
- 19:03Speaker 4: had a benefit from it, sure, and and so you
- 19:05Speaker 4: can have benefit from these things. And that's why I'm
- 19:07Speaker 4: saying you go try it out. Try to do just
- 19:08Speaker 4: different different types of massage and these things, because they
- 19:11Speaker 4: can relieve and give you relief right away, but it's
- 19:14Speaker 4: the practice of them, ongoing practice of them, because it
- 19:17Speaker 4: might we have these energy blockages, and you might have
- 19:20Speaker 4: initial release of letting some of that energy go, and
- 19:22Speaker 4: so it releases the tension, but it's only a percentage
- 19:25Speaker 4: of what's really there, okay, And so the daily practice
- 19:28Speaker 4: helps to drain it all out. So you got I
- 19:30Speaker 4: was reading this yesterday. I don't remember where I was
- 19:33Speaker 4: reading it, so I can't attribute it. But like, think
- 19:36Speaker 4: you got a cup of water, and if it's too much,
- 19:40Speaker 4: it's too there's pressure, right, and so you let off
- 19:42Speaker 4: some of that, you drain some of it out, and
- 19:44Speaker 4: it's less pressure. It drains some more out, it's less pressure,
- 19:46Speaker 4: and you can drain it all out. So there's a
- 19:48Speaker 4: constant flow, so you don't have any stagnant water in there. Wow,
- 19:51Speaker 4: there's let it keep flowing. And I think I remember
- 19:55Speaker 4: where I read it to someone else that's got to
- 19:56Speaker 4: be on their show sometime. I'll talk to them and
- 19:59Speaker 4: see if they'd be linked to talk about all this
- 20:02Speaker 4: kind of stuff. Brilliant, there's a lot of there's a
- 20:03Speaker 4: lot of really awesome practitioners.
- 20:05Speaker 3: This, this is what I want to do.
- 20:06Speaker 1: This.
- 20:06Speaker 4: I want to create a nonprofit. We've been talking about this.
- 20:09Speaker 4: I've told you a little bit about this, but this
- 20:11Speaker 4: is my goal for this year. I'm not supposed not
- 20:12Speaker 4: supposed to talk about some of your goals sometimes because
- 20:14Speaker 4: they don't come true, but you don't care. I'm going
- 20:17Speaker 4: to put this out. I mean, this is something I
- 20:19Speaker 4: want to personally do. But there's so many powerful healing
- 20:23Speaker 4: practitioners in the air everywhere, and a lot of this
- 20:27Speaker 4: the work that they do isn't covered by insurances because again,
- 20:30Speaker 4: our our this medical model that we have that we're
- 20:32Speaker 4: slaves to, or not slaves to, but we're captured into
- 20:35Speaker 4: or whatever. I don't have a lot of positive regard
- 20:38Speaker 4: for the system. I like a lot of practitioners, but
- 20:40Speaker 4: the system.
- 20:41Speaker 3: I I don't know.
- 20:43Speaker 4: I don't even know how to say it. But like
- 20:44Speaker 4: I don't want to sound like an idiot. Too late,
- 20:47Speaker 4: you're supposed to say too late.
- 20:50Speaker 3: That's what we do here, that's what we do.
- 20:52Speaker 4: But you know, this system doesn't allow for a lot
- 20:54Speaker 4: of these things, and so we're all reliant on dependent
- 20:57Speaker 4: That's what that's the words I want to say, okay,
- 20:59Speaker 4: so we have the medical model, the Western medicine whatever,
- 21:02Speaker 4: and we're dependent on this model, and so it doesn't
- 21:04Speaker 4: let other things in. There's other things throughout the world.
- 21:07Speaker 4: It's all kinds of healing practice, practice practices and methods,
- 21:11Speaker 4: and a lot of them don't get added into the
- 21:14Speaker 4: accepted medical model. And because we're so dependent on the
- 21:17Speaker 4: system and the insurances and stuff like that, that the
- 21:20Speaker 4: insurances get to determine what kind of care you receive
- 21:24Speaker 4: because we're paying the insurance companies and then they won't
- 21:27Speaker 4: pay for the services. So I'm paying for the insurance
- 21:30Speaker 4: if I am and I want certain coverage and they say, well,
- 21:33Speaker 4: we don't. We don't like, we don't recognize that, so
- 21:35Speaker 4: we're not going to pay for that.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Sure, well then why do I have you?
- 21:38Speaker 1: Right?
- 21:39Speaker 4: And so this whole thing was we're dependent on all
- 21:41Speaker 4: these systems. I don't like it, but there's these practitioners
- 21:43Speaker 4: that can offer healing, like true healing, not symptom relief.
- 21:47Speaker 4: So many of the medicines and stuff are symptom relief,
- 21:49Speaker 4: and we want healing. We want to get to the
- 21:51Speaker 4: root of it. Even with what I'm doing as an
- 21:54Speaker 4: as an alcohol and drug counselor addiction is the leaf,
- 21:57Speaker 4: what's the root? So we're looking at the leaf of
- 21:59Speaker 4: the Tree's okay, so you got alcohol use or cocaine
- 22:01Speaker 4: use or whatever. That's a symptom of what the underlying
- 22:05Speaker 4: thing is. What we want to get down in there
- 22:06Speaker 4: and find out what that is. And so a lot
- 22:08Speaker 4: of these, you know, uh, these Eastern traditions, the yoga
- 22:12Speaker 4: and chigung and acupuncture, actu pressure and these different types
- 22:15Speaker 4: of massage, these and reiki, these are all energy focused
- 22:19Speaker 4: and they're going to get to the root of it.
- 22:21Speaker 4: They're going to root it out. They're gonna get down
- 22:22Speaker 4: into it and heal you from from the energy centers,
- 22:26Speaker 4: from the soul.
- 22:27Speaker 3: This is all, in my opinion, an example of our culture,
- 22:35Speaker 3: of our society. We want to quick fix. We don't
- 22:38Speaker 3: have time to get to the root ish of shaw.
- 22:41Speaker 4: You didn't want to wait ten minutes for your headache
- 22:43Speaker 4: to go a.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Exactly, you stick a hot iron in me, and that's fine, Oh.
- 22:49Speaker 4: You're talking about ten minutes. That wasn't fast enough for you.
- 22:54Speaker 4: But but here's I don't have time for this. You
- 22:57Speaker 4: don't have ten minutes.
- 22:57Speaker 3: I don't have time for this. We want to feel
- 23:00Speaker 3: better quickly, yeah, immediately. We want we want the symptoms
- 23:03Speaker 3: to be gone so that we can just hurry up
- 23:05Speaker 3: and continue to do the next thing.
- 23:07Speaker 4: But that causes more symptoms of course.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Of course, only to you know the next day we
- 23:12Speaker 3: wake up and the same ship is there. But to
- 23:16Speaker 3: take our time and be patient and start at the beginning.
- 23:21Speaker 4: One of my favorite sections of the Doubta Ching is
- 23:25Speaker 4: how do you still or how do you clear muddy water?
- 23:28Speaker 4: So you got a puddle, it's all stirred up with
- 23:30Speaker 4: the silt and it's all muddy. How do you how
- 23:33Speaker 4: do you clear it? What can you do to make
- 23:35Speaker 4: that water clear?
- 23:36Speaker 3: Again, Becky's saying, heal the whole body, not just the symptoms. Functional,
- 23:40Speaker 3: functional medicine treats whole body.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but you clear the water. You clear the
- 23:46Speaker 4: puddle by letting it set, letting it sit. You don't
- 23:49Speaker 4: do anything to it. Anything you do. You can test
- 23:52Speaker 4: to go out to find a puddle. There's plenty of
- 23:54Speaker 4: out there and stir it up and it's all the
- 23:57Speaker 4: water's murky and brown. You cannot make that water clear
- 24:01Speaker 4: nothing you can do any intervention. I mean, you can
- 24:03Speaker 4: filter it and stuff that you're you're you know, you're
- 24:05Speaker 4: interviewing in a pretty intense way there, but like, just
- 24:08Speaker 4: let it settle. In a couple of minutes, the dirt
- 24:10Speaker 4: settles back down to the bottom of the water is
- 24:12Speaker 4: clear again. So a lot of our issues are the
- 24:14Speaker 4: same way we got it. You got to let that
- 24:15Speaker 4: time to settle it. So what I want to get to,
- 24:18Speaker 4: it's the doubted chain is wisdom brillion stuff.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Check it out.
- 24:21Speaker 4: But what I want to get to is to create
- 24:23Speaker 4: a foundation that's nonprofit. So this's you know, donation provided
- 24:26Speaker 4: something that I don't have to do any of this stuff.
- 24:28Speaker 4: So I'm trying to figure it out. But then that
- 24:30Speaker 4: way so essentially replaces the insurance company. So the practitioners,
- 24:34Speaker 4: because I'm a practitioner of this stuff in a way,
- 24:36Speaker 4: but I can I can charge insurances for for identified diagnoses,
- 24:41Speaker 4: you know, SUBSTANCEUS disorders are recognized, so I can charge
- 24:43Speaker 4: insurances for those. I can build insurances. But someone who's
- 24:46Speaker 4: dealing with a lot of or the method that I'm
- 24:48Speaker 4: employing is covered by the insurance. I guess that's the
- 24:50Speaker 4: way I should say it. But so a lot of
- 24:51Speaker 4: these methods aren't covered by insurance, So who's going to
- 24:53Speaker 4: pay for it? The people got to pay out of pocket.
- 24:55Speaker 4: A lot of people can't afford this stuff. It's expensive
- 24:58Speaker 4: to it and that's that's a sad kind of cometary
- 25:00Speaker 4: is expensive to maintain our health. And so if we
- 25:04Speaker 4: had had a resource that could then provide for that.
- 25:08Speaker 4: I don't know how to build this. That's what I
- 25:09Speaker 4: want to build, So put it out there. Maybe someone
- 25:11Speaker 4: else how to build that and help me out.
- 25:12Speaker 3: But it's just something in twenty twenty five.
- 25:14Speaker 4: Yes, I'd like to do it this year. And so
- 25:16Speaker 4: I have some things that I think could be beneficial
- 25:19Speaker 4: to support that, and so one of those is something
- 25:23Speaker 4: that we can talk about later.
- 25:25Speaker 3: It's not.
- 25:27Speaker 4: It'll come up later.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Quite a concept, I guess. And you and I haven't
- 25:34Speaker 3: had a chance to chat about this before we go
- 25:36Speaker 3: hot on the on the mics. But are we when
- 25:39Speaker 3: are we letting the cat out of the back about
- 25:42Speaker 3: that special date?
- 25:44Speaker 4: I don't know we can talk about we could mention.
- 25:46Speaker 4: I mean, well this, so this is one of the
- 25:49Speaker 4: things I want to do to try and build up this.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Other is what I just mentioned. And so Jad and
- 25:54Speaker 4: I have talked about this and we got a plan,
- 25:57Speaker 4: but I think initially we're going to try and keep
- 25:59Speaker 4: it low key, invitation only to see how it works,
- 26:04Speaker 4: and then so forth. You know, by the end of
- 26:06Speaker 4: the month, we'll have I think that's when you can
- 26:09Speaker 4: go all out and announce it and make it public.
- 26:13Speaker 4: Crypt yeah, just for the sake of being cryptic. There's
- 26:16Speaker 4: nothing that there's nothing going on. We're just playing a
- 26:18Speaker 4: game right now. It is to I want to I
- 26:20Speaker 4: want to create opportunities to provide more information to people
- 26:24Speaker 4: and to provide access to services. Those are the two
- 26:26Speaker 4: goals that I've been using. The phrase imagine moving on.
- 26:30Speaker 4: I took it out of addiction book that I read
- 26:32Speaker 4: years ago. It just really, I don't know, I really
- 26:35Speaker 4: liked that phrase, the idea that we need to. All right,
- 26:40Speaker 4: if if you can't if you can't envision it, if
- 26:42Speaker 4: you can't imagine it, then you're probably never gonna achieve it.
- 26:45Speaker 4: So you got to start there at least. And so
- 26:47Speaker 4: I'm losing my ability to speak. So I registered the website,
- 26:51Speaker 4: so I've imagined moving on dot com. I registered that
- 26:53Speaker 4: like eight years ago. I hadn't done nothing with it, really,
- 26:56Speaker 4: but so imagine moving on is the thing I want
- 26:58Speaker 4: to create. It's just vide more to get information to people,
- 27:02Speaker 4: make make make these treatments, make these healing practices more
- 27:06Speaker 4: more accessible to everybody.
- 27:08Speaker 3: My buddy Mark, my buddy Mark Miller just started tuning in.
- 27:13Speaker 3: He's got to go back and listen to the first
- 27:16Speaker 3: half of this podcast because this is Anyone who's just
- 27:20Speaker 3: joining us really should go back in and listen to
- 27:22Speaker 3: this after its life.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Or don't or don't we're even tell aybody what they
- 27:26Speaker 4: should do.
- 27:27Speaker 3: No, no, I'm just saying it would be It's it's
- 27:30Speaker 3: so there could be benefit, but it's encompassing, sure in
- 27:34Speaker 3: a positive way. To's so many people, you.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Know, anybody who has a body. If you don't have
- 27:39Speaker 4: a body, then it might not be applicable to you.
- 27:41Speaker 4: But if you have a body, then this is this
- 27:43Speaker 4: kind of stuff is I'm not the guy. I don't
- 27:45Speaker 4: know these things, but I want to find I want
- 27:46Speaker 4: to I mean some things, but I want to connect.
- 27:48Speaker 4: I'm a student. I'm I feel like I'm a low
- 27:50Speaker 4: level student. A lot of times I feel like I'm
- 27:53Speaker 4: not prepared to do this yet because I don't know.
- 27:56Speaker 4: I listened to Michael Singer. I think he's brilliant, and
- 27:58Speaker 4: you know, he's got torn your thirty years on me
- 28:01Speaker 4: in age. He's got more experience, And I think maybe
- 28:02Speaker 4: I need to wait a little bit longer before I
- 28:04Speaker 4: start doing this. But there's enough I have enough that
- 28:06Speaker 4: I can share that is not common. I guess that
- 28:10Speaker 4: it can it can inspire somebody, So I don't need
- 28:12Speaker 4: to wait any I don't you know, I don't think
- 28:15Speaker 4: I need to wait.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yeah, as long as I'm.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Not giving false information or anything like that, and teaching
- 28:19Speaker 4: what I've learned. As soon as I've learned it, I've
- 28:21Speaker 4: been practicing, and I think that it's useful to share.
- 28:24Speaker 3: I don't want to wait.
- 28:24Speaker 4: But that's that's the balance I'm trying to strike, is
- 28:28Speaker 4: what you know?
- 28:29Speaker 3: Where am I?
- 28:29Speaker 4: Am I a legitimate voice to share these things yet?
- 28:34Speaker 3: Or do I need to wait?
- 28:34Speaker 4: Do I need to study more and build up more?
- 28:37Speaker 4: And so I guess I'm doing it all At the
- 28:38Speaker 4: same time.
- 28:40Speaker 3: We're also networking with some really knowledgeable people like doctor
- 28:47Speaker 3: Rick Barnett.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, Rick is someone I think he's got it.
- 28:50Speaker 4: He knows, but you know, he might he might say
- 28:52Speaker 4: the same thing I do, Like I don't know it yet,
- 28:54Speaker 4: but I'm working on it.
- 28:54Speaker 3: But sure that guy knows.
- 28:57Speaker 4: I think he knows.
- 28:58Speaker 3: And Balin, yeah, a look at we've got a wealth
- 29:02Speaker 3: of knowledge.
- 29:03Speaker 4: There's so many And then with what Rick is doing
- 29:06Speaker 4: with the Kedemede assistant therapy and stuff like that, and
- 29:09Speaker 4: pushing the psychedelics, the acceptance of psychedelics. The research is there,
- 29:12Speaker 4: it's supporting it, and the practice is there, and the
- 29:15Speaker 4: Kedemede assistant treatment is is is being used right now
- 29:19Speaker 4: in Vermont. It's great, but again, cost prohibitive for a
- 29:22Speaker 4: lot of people. Friend of mine looked into it. One
- 29:24Speaker 4: of this one of the groups that's providing it in
- 29:27Speaker 4: central Vermont and is it was nine hundred dollars.
- 29:29Speaker 3: And that's not just like one.
- 29:30Speaker 4: It's like because you got to you gotta get the prescription,
- 29:32Speaker 4: you gotta do the intake, you got to do a
- 29:34Speaker 4: couple of sessions preparatory, and then you have the session
- 29:36Speaker 4: with the with the ketemine, and so it's a it's
- 29:38Speaker 4: a over the course of a month or whatever. But
- 29:40Speaker 4: so it's really it's not that expensive, sure when you
- 29:42Speaker 4: look at medical treatments, but nine hundred bucks out of
- 29:45Speaker 4: pocket for a couple of therapy sessions seems insane when
- 29:50Speaker 4: you don't have you know, when your turns won't cover it.
- 29:52Speaker 4: You don't have a lot of extra cash, so it's hard.
- 29:54Speaker 4: And those are the kind of things that I think
- 29:56Speaker 4: would be great if we can figure out a way
- 29:59Speaker 4: to degenerate morning through fundraising and then provide those things,
- 30:02Speaker 4: because it's a very effective treatment according to the research.
- 30:06Speaker 3: I want to talk about alcohol this morning with you,
- 30:09Speaker 3: and I don't know if this is purely coincidental, if
- 30:13Speaker 3: there's any correlation between the new year and what's coming
- 30:19Speaker 3: down the pipe in the news from the search in general,
- 30:23Speaker 3: but it is EveryWare everywhere about alcohol. All of a sudden,
- 30:30Speaker 3: we hit January and of course dry January, and like
- 30:34Speaker 3: I said on the podcast the other day, non alcohol
- 30:39Speaker 3: drinks are exploding in popularity. Now there's now non alcoholic bars,
- 30:50Speaker 3: same kind of atmosphere, entertainment, people getting together, shooting pool,
- 30:57Speaker 3: but there's no alcohol. But the ris that they're concocting
- 31:02Speaker 3: are fantastic. And this is this is a I hate
- 31:08Speaker 3: to say the word trending or a trend, but it
- 31:12Speaker 3: is really really popular with millennials twenties, thirties, forties, that
- 31:21Speaker 3: age group it's really become this thing and it is
- 31:25Speaker 3: picking up fast momentum right now.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Well it should. What are the health benefits of alcohol?
- 31:32Speaker 3: None?
- 31:33Speaker 4: Exactly zero. There are no health benefits alcohol, not one.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Any claims that they've made over the years of antioxidants
- 31:40Speaker 4: and wine, good for your heart, all that stuff, it
- 31:42Speaker 4: doesn't outweigh the damage it's being done. Your brain and
- 31:45Speaker 4: your heart take damage every time you drink alcohol, any
- 31:48Speaker 4: amount of alcohol. Can you drink alcohol and not die
- 31:51Speaker 4: from it? Yeah?
- 31:52Speaker 3: But should you? Well? I should?
- 31:54Speaker 4: That's like, can you drink it without taking damage?
- 31:56Speaker 1: No?
- 31:57Speaker 4: Can you drink it without dying? Yes?
- 31:59Speaker 3: Can it?
- 32:00Speaker 4: It's can to be part of your life, absolutely, But
- 32:02Speaker 4: you just you got to like anything. So many things
- 32:05Speaker 4: like tilehol damages your liver. Okay, so you're not gonna
- 32:07Speaker 4: take tile on all because it's gonna damage your liver.
- 32:10Speaker 4: You got to make that decision for yourself. Sugar, every
- 32:12Speaker 4: time you drink a soda, you're damaging your liver.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:14Speaker 4: I had non alcoholic fatty liver disease diagnosis. I didn't
- 32:17Speaker 4: drink alcohol, but I got my liver looked like I did.
- 32:20Speaker 4: Why interesting processed foods, sugar, soda, I worked at Subway
- 32:24Speaker 4: from time I was seventeen off and on until I
- 32:26Speaker 4: was twenty five or so twenty four, and I drank
- 32:29Speaker 4: soda all day long, every day for the better part
- 32:32Speaker 4: of five years, six years. And then by the time
- 32:34Speaker 4: I'm thirty five, I got no non alcoholic faty liver
- 32:37Speaker 4: disease this kind of So is alcohol killing your liver? Absolutely?
- 32:41Speaker 4: It is a sugar yes, so you know. So you
- 32:44Speaker 4: got to weigh these things out and you gotta balance it.
- 32:46Speaker 4: If you enjoyed drinking alcohol, and you do it in
- 32:48Speaker 4: a safe manner, and you're not hurting anybody, it's not
- 32:50Speaker 4: compulsive in your life, You're not. It's not impacting your work,
- 32:53Speaker 4: your family obligations, is not wearing you out financially, you're
- 32:57Speaker 4: not getting arrested for You're not killing anybody driving drunk. Yeah,
- 33:00Speaker 4: you're hurting yourself. Yes, you are hurting yourself, but so
- 33:02Speaker 4: many things that we do hurt ourselves. You've got to
- 33:04Speaker 4: take it all, use wisdom and balance it all out
- 33:07Speaker 4: in your life. But is there any health benefits to
- 33:09Speaker 4: drinking alcohol? No, there's zero. There are zero. If you
- 33:13Speaker 4: can find anything, it's outweighed by the damage.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Check this out. Surge in general in the new I
- 33:20Speaker 3: mean it's Mike. Please, I encourage people google this if
- 33:24Speaker 3: you're if you're not familiar with this, you gotta google this.
- 33:28Speaker 3: It's everywhere in the news about, uh, the surge in
- 33:33Speaker 3: general putting on their labels that there is a link
- 33:40Speaker 3: between alcohol consumption and cancer. My knee jerk to this
- 33:47Speaker 3: when I heard this was, oh, here we go again.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Did a spittake with your whiskey.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Kind of but here here we go again. You know,
- 33:57Speaker 3: there's another thing that you know that the government is
- 33:59Speaker 3: saying causes cancer.
- 34:01Speaker 4: You know, we're going to California.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Everything causes cancer, you know. And I have never heard
- 34:10Speaker 3: that there is a link between alcohol consumption and cancer.
- 34:15Speaker 3: I've never heard that in my life. There's this new
- 34:18Speaker 3: study out. Please, I encourage you to google this that
- 34:24Speaker 3: more than fifty percent of Americans I'm not sure the
- 34:29Speaker 3: exact percentage. I think I want to say fifty four
- 34:31Speaker 3: percent if I remember correctly, I heard the news on this.
- 34:35Speaker 3: More than fifty percent of Americans are not aware that
- 34:40Speaker 3: there's a link between alcohol consumption and cancer. Seventy percent
- 34:47Speaker 3: of Americans have at least one drink a day.
- 34:53Speaker 4: What seventy percent have one drink a day.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Shit, it might be one a week, damn it. I'm sorry,
- 35:01Speaker 3: all right, I think it's I think it's per week. Either,
- 35:04Speaker 3: it's still per week. Sorry, up, it's a lot. It's
- 35:10Speaker 3: a lot per week, one drink per week.
- 35:14Speaker 4: So a couple of years ago, the standard they're recommending
- 35:16Speaker 4: no more than two drinks per day, no more than
- 35:19Speaker 4: fourteen in a one week period of time for adult men,
- 35:21Speaker 4: and no more than one a day or seven in
- 35:23Speaker 4: a period of one week for women. That was the
- 35:26Speaker 4: recommendation a couple of years ago, and that was considered
- 35:28Speaker 4: like safe. But what I've what I've seen since then,
- 35:33Speaker 4: really if you're you're going to use alcohol, and this
- 35:35Speaker 4: goes for ice cream, this goes for soda, all these
- 35:37Speaker 4: kind of things. If you're going to do something that
- 35:39Speaker 4: heavily puts a toll on your liver, don't do that
- 35:42Speaker 4: thing again for a few days. Give yourself at least
- 35:45Speaker 4: a day. So that's one of the things I recommend
- 35:46Speaker 4: people when I'm doing counseling with people with alcohol, if
- 35:50Speaker 4: you like, some people meet with me and they want
- 35:51Speaker 4: to stain. Some people meet with me they want to reduce.
- 35:55Speaker 4: I'm not I don't you know, I support a person.
- 35:57Speaker 4: What's your goal is to be healthy? I don't I'm
- 35:59Speaker 4: not like pro abstinence on everything. I think anything can
- 36:02Speaker 4: be used in moderation and can be used in uh,
- 36:05Speaker 4: you know, as safe a way as possible. Obviously, alcohol
- 36:08Speaker 4: is going to do damage you every time, but like
- 36:09Speaker 4: I'm saying, there's so many other things to do as well,
- 36:11Speaker 4: bag of potato chips. You a bag of chips. It's
- 36:13Speaker 4: just that's damaging to you as well. So you just
- 36:15Speaker 4: want to be wise about it. But like, not consuming
- 36:18Speaker 4: every day is is a is a good place to start,
- 36:21Speaker 4: take a day off in between.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Yeah. Here it is. Approximately seventy percent of Americans report
- 36:27Speaker 3: consuming at least one at least one alcoholic drink per week.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I mean one a week. Is you know,
- 36:37Speaker 4: it's it's real.
- 36:37Speaker 3: It's not bad.
- 36:38Speaker 4: I mean you probably do more damage to your body
- 36:41Speaker 4: in the week with seed oils and sugars and yeah
- 36:43Speaker 4: you know, you know he's fried oils.
- 36:45Speaker 3: And stuff like that.
- 36:46Speaker 4: To me.
- 36:46Speaker 3: You've said this to me so much. By the way,
- 36:48Speaker 3: the source of that is the Alcohol Research Group, and
- 36:52Speaker 3: of course the Gallop Poll.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Well, they don't sound credible on this topic Alcohol Research Group.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Well, it's it's it's what it says, jokes, what it says.
- 37:02Speaker 4: And I was gonna say something I forgot.
- 37:06Speaker 3: I'm just reading. I'm just looking at some more stuff.
- 37:09Speaker 3: I think.
- 37:09Speaker 4: I don't you know, I don't remember being really aware
- 37:12Speaker 4: of the link between alcohol and cancer until earlier, this
- 37:15Speaker 4: in twenty twenty four, because when you mentioned it to
- 37:18Speaker 4: me a week or so ago, it was familiar to me,
- 37:21Speaker 4: but it wasn't something like I've really delved into. But
- 37:24Speaker 4: it's not something that's surprising to me in the least
- 37:27Speaker 4: because I've been looking at this for years and I
- 37:28Speaker 4: know the alcohol is damaging, and you know, I guess
- 37:31Speaker 4: never really we haven't really talked about it collectively in
- 37:34Speaker 4: the sense that it is a causal link with cancer,
- 37:37Speaker 4: but you know, you definitely liver cerroosis and stuff like that,
- 37:41Speaker 4: that's usually the target when we talk about the damages
- 37:44Speaker 4: from alcohol. But it doesn't surprise me at all that
- 37:47Speaker 4: it's linked to cancer. And I've been talking about for years.
- 37:49Speaker 4: I've been talking about with clients, why why is tobacco
- 37:53Speaker 4: labeled with all these certain general's warnings? And they got
- 37:55Speaker 4: there there. So that's the the tobacco companies have to
- 37:59Speaker 4: pay for that stuff. They pay for the anti tobacco campaigns.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Like the companies were making the cigarettes are also making
- 38:04Speaker 4: the commercials you see talking about how dangerous they are.
- 38:07Speaker 3: That's part of the core.
- 38:08Speaker 4: That was Congress's punishment to them or whatever when they
- 38:10Speaker 4: had some kind of thing back in the eighties.
- 38:12Speaker 3: And I've heard this. It's forgotten to be forgotten it,
- 38:15Speaker 3: but I've heard this.
- 38:16Speaker 4: They make so much money that they can pay all
- 38:18Speaker 4: of this money to say, do not use our product.
- 38:21Speaker 4: They're not allowed to do advertisements on they can't do
- 38:24Speaker 4: pro smoking commercials on TV, but they can do anti
- 38:26Speaker 4: smoking commercials on TV. But they're making enough money off
- 38:28Speaker 4: this and it's so dangerous, So tobacco is, you know.
- 38:31Speaker 4: And fifty years ago you had doctors, at least they
- 38:34Speaker 4: were claiming doctors were saying smoking better, you know, tobacco,
- 38:37Speaker 4: Smoke a cigarette after dinner is good for your digestion,
- 38:39Speaker 4: and all the propaganda about women should smoke. Because the
- 38:44Speaker 4: companies back in the twenties or thirties, they didn't have
- 38:46Speaker 4: enough women buying cigarettes, so they made a specific ad
- 38:48Speaker 4: campaign to target women and bring that in, you know,
- 38:51Speaker 4: and and so all that's going on. But alcohol is
- 38:55Speaker 4: just as bad or worse than tobacco. And it's so prevalent,
- 38:58Speaker 4: you can get we could have beers in two minutes,
- 39:01Speaker 4: less than two minutes probably walking out door right now,
- 39:02Speaker 4: even at this time of day.
- 39:03Speaker 3: I bet we can go, you know.
- 39:04Speaker 4: And so it's so prevalent, it's so out there, and
- 39:07Speaker 4: all the damages are known. They've known all the destruction
- 39:09Speaker 4: from this for years. But now suddenly the certain general
- 39:12Speaker 4: is getting on board with this.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Why why now? Right? Why?
- 39:16Speaker 4: Now? It's interesting? And this has been out for a
- 39:21Speaker 4: long time issue, So what's more dangerous? Heroin or alcohol?
- 39:26Speaker 4: Like on a chemical structure level, you put heroin in
- 39:29Speaker 4: your body, you put alcohol your body. Which one is
- 39:30Speaker 4: gonna do more damage?
- 39:31Speaker 3: I'd much rather put alcohol in I'd.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Rather put heroin in my body. I've never tried heroin Specifically,
- 39:37Speaker 4: heroin is diocetal morphine. So it's to a style change.
- 39:40Speaker 3: I don't I get.
- 39:41Speaker 4: I don't know what that means necessarily, but that's you know,
- 39:43Speaker 4: in the chemical structure, and in Europe they is whatever.
- 39:46Speaker 4: In Johann Harry's book Chasing the Scream, I think is
- 39:48Speaker 4: that book he talks about this. In England, he's he's British.
- 39:51Speaker 4: In England they use diocetal morphine in the hospital. In
- 39:54Speaker 4: America we use morphine and it's basically the same chemical structure.
- 39:57Speaker 4: But diocetol morphine is heroin. So you go to that
- 39:59Speaker 4: you break your leg, and in the UK and they're
- 40:00Speaker 4: gonna probably give you heroin, but it's regulated, it's clean,
- 40:03Speaker 4: it's safe for whatever. And the same thing here with morphine, right,
- 40:06Speaker 4: our bodies produce it endorphin and dogenous morphine morphine from
- 40:09Speaker 4: within the body, basically the same chemical structure. So this
- 40:11Speaker 4: doesn't do damage to your body too much of it.
- 40:14Speaker 4: It stops you from breathing that'll do damage to your body.
- 40:17Speaker 4: But the heroin itself chemically speaking, And people can disagree
- 40:21Speaker 4: and call me crazy and stuff like that. This is
- 40:22Speaker 4: my theory, just my opinion. We'll allow to say opinions here, right,
- 40:25Speaker 4: I don't know, I'm airing it out, but you know,
- 40:28Speaker 4: but you put alcohol, your body's gonna kill cells. You
- 40:30Speaker 4: put heroin, your body's not necessarily gonna kill cells. You
- 40:32Speaker 4: put it cut with something that will damage you and
- 40:34Speaker 4: then okay, there's the damage. So the social damage from
- 40:37Speaker 4: heroin is worse than the social damage from alcohol. Maybe
- 40:40Speaker 4: it is comparable, probably with the factor in DUIs and
- 40:43Speaker 4: domestic violence and stuff like that, then maybe the damage
- 40:47Speaker 4: is the same. But I think alcohol is by far
- 40:49Speaker 4: more destructive in all kinds of ways. And yet we
- 40:52Speaker 4: can buy that at the pharmacy.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Dona to look up Donna San to look up the
- 40:57Speaker 3: stats breast cancer and alcohol consumption.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I was linked to the hs HSS HHS report
- 41:06Speaker 4: on the certain general stuff was like prostate cancer, breast cancer,
- 41:12Speaker 4: liver cancer, throat so vocal box vocal box cancer, you know,
- 41:17Speaker 4: all kinds of cancer's multiple cancer.
- 41:19Speaker 3: And Joe saying something that you and I have talked
- 41:23Speaker 3: about over the within the last couple of weeks, uh saying,
- 41:27Speaker 3: need a conversation about food colorings and dyess absolutely also
- 41:31Speaker 3: how they reword ingredients to misguided people. Most of the
- 41:35Speaker 3: food in the US is banned in most other countries.
- 41:37Speaker 3: We've talked about this, Joe, Joe's got to go back
- 41:41Speaker 3: and catch a couple of He needs to get caught
- 41:43Speaker 3: up here on a couple of podcasts because we've been
- 41:45Speaker 3: talking about this and refined foods and refined sugars and
- 41:50Speaker 3: and ultra processed foods. And I had a doctor on
- 41:54Speaker 3: a couple of weeks ago talking about what it does
- 41:56Speaker 3: to your body and how it creates inflammation and you.
- 42:00Speaker 4: Infa goes to cancer. Yeah, these things are all the same.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Man all gets to the same bad state of health.
- 42:06Speaker 4: But one of the very interesting thing I saw about
- 42:09Speaker 4: the processing of foods years ago, we got I've talked
- 42:12Speaker 4: I think I mentioned this on here before. We've had
- 42:14Speaker 4: this conversation, but we've got a wheat grinder and whole grain,
- 42:17Speaker 4: a whole kernel wheat and grinding it to make flour
- 42:19Speaker 4: to make our own bread. And it had a DVD
- 42:22Speaker 4: was talking about recipes and whatever, but she showed when
- 42:26Speaker 4: when they when when you buy bleached flour, you know,
- 42:30Speaker 4: white flour at the grocery store, it's it's by it's
- 42:33Speaker 4: basically a byprod. It's the leftovers they've they've already at
- 42:36Speaker 4: that point, they taken the whole wheat kernel, and they've
- 42:38Speaker 4: taken out nine other elements oils, fats, proteins, all these
- 42:42Speaker 4: things they've taken all out, and what's left is this
- 42:45Speaker 4: the very least of this powder. And that's what they
- 42:48Speaker 4: sell to you and you know, you break down. So
- 42:49Speaker 4: instead of selling you whole wheat powder, which is a
- 42:51Speaker 4: little gritty and doesn't taste as good, but it's whole.
- 42:54Speaker 4: It's it's healthy, sure, and but you take all these
- 42:57Speaker 4: components out and now you're left with this left or stuff.
- 43:00Speaker 4: That stuff really can't be digested without the presence of
- 43:03Speaker 4: those other things. That's why it comes in a complete package.
- 43:06Speaker 4: And this is the same thing with processed sugars when
- 43:07Speaker 4: you take when you take cane sugar and you get
- 43:10Speaker 4: down to that white, refined table sugar stuff, you've taken
- 43:12Speaker 4: out all these other elements, these minerals that are present
- 43:14Speaker 4: with it. That's why raw honey and maple syrup are
- 43:17Speaker 4: not as damaging to the body as refined sugar is
- 43:22Speaker 4: because it has those components with it. There's components, so
- 43:24Speaker 4: when you eat table sugar, it then extracts nutrients from
- 43:29Speaker 4: your body to digest it. It can't be digested without
- 43:31Speaker 4: these certain minerals vitamins. If you're not eating that sugar
- 43:34Speaker 4: with those minerals and vitamins, it's pulling it from your body.
- 43:38Speaker 4: So it's it's making you less. So it's like I
- 43:40Speaker 4: like to call it an anti nutrient, So your nutrient
- 43:42Speaker 4: feeds your body. An anti nutrient goes in your body
- 43:45Speaker 4: and pulls things out with it right in order to
- 43:47Speaker 4: digest it. It's crazy.
- 43:49Speaker 3: It is crazy. I know you're gonna fly here in
- 43:51Speaker 3: a second. But the one two three rule. No more
- 43:54Speaker 3: than one standard drink per hour, no more than two
- 43:59Speaker 3: standard drinks per occasion, no more than three drinks a day.
- 44:05Speaker 3: More than three constitutes binge drinking, according to the National
- 44:11Speaker 3: Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
- 44:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Thanks for coming in today, brother, sure, thank you. I
- 44:21Speaker 3: want to make sure you know you got an appointment.

- 45:45Speaker 4: start calling me.
- 45:46Speaker 3: You're slurring your speech this morning. I always do. I
- 45:48Speaker 3: talked too fast.
- 45:49Speaker 4: I get excited.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Would you put in your orange juice?
- 45:51Speaker 4: Had green tea with applesider vinegar and lemon juice because
- 45:54Speaker 4: doctor Berg on YouTube said that that's good for healing
- 45:56Speaker 4: your liver burgs.
- 45:58Speaker 3: He's cool. I love him. He's good.
- 45:59Speaker 4: I think the cat fen is getting to me.
- 46:01Speaker 3: I haven't had a chance to talk to you about that.
- 46:03Speaker 3: Can we save this for our next conversation.
- 46:05Speaker 4: No, we have to have it right now. Now we
- 46:07Speaker 4: can say it. Yeah, so I'm yeah, go to imagine
- 46:10Speaker 4: moving on dot com if if you want to talk
- 46:12Speaker 4: to me, I'm happy to meet with people. So under
- 46:14Speaker 4: my license I'm doing. It's strictly substance abuse, uh disorder.
- 46:18Speaker 4: Substance use disorder is what I can treat, diagnose, assess,
- 46:22Speaker 4: and treat, assess, diagnosed, and treat, because that's the order
- 46:24Speaker 4: it happens. Then. But I am I'm opening up. I
- 46:28Speaker 4: want to start doing single session counseling or advisory.
- 46:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 46:32Speaker 4: I think like life coaching or whatever. It's not it's
- 46:35Speaker 4: not psychotherapy, but just single session advice. I think I'm
- 46:42Speaker 4: settling into spiritual health advisor. I'll call it something like that.
- 46:46Speaker 4: But there's a lot there's there's a lot of research
- 46:48Speaker 4: done into single session therapy in the past, and it's
- 46:51Speaker 4: a really neat model. You can look it up mainly
- 46:53Speaker 4: Manly p Hall as someone that's talked about it. But
- 46:56Speaker 4: it's just it's interesting to address. To take a specific issue,
- 47:00Speaker 4: you sit down for an hour and a half, address
- 47:02Speaker 4: it and and work through it. And uh, there's some
- 47:05Speaker 4: benefits there, something something I want to try out. That's
- 47:08Speaker 4: another thing I want to try out this year.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Start doing that.
- 47:10Speaker 4: But yeah, imagine moving on dot com all right and
- 47:12Speaker 4: find out how to contact me there.
- 47:14Speaker 3: And you're right here.
- 47:15Speaker 4: Blanched building, historic Planched building, beautiful historic Planchier building, been
- 47:20Speaker 4: there for eight years. It's awesome building.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Thank you brother. You over now peace, Let's go.
