- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, man Boulet cap show. We got a special
- 0:01Speaker 1: guests in here. It's lit side boogie. You finally let
- 0:05Speaker 1: me come first of all, I've DMed you before. That's crazy.
- 0:08Speaker 1: You be ignoring my dms. That's not true. It's a man,
- 0:11Speaker 1: I can show you treat me like the little Instagram thought,
- 0:14Speaker 1: Hey for this stuck video? How did y'all pull that
- 0:17Speaker 1: shit off? Just for see? You just look like it
- 0:19Speaker 1: was it like an uncomfortable video to shoot hanging upside
- 0:22Speaker 1: down like that? What do you mean? I was flying
- 0:23Speaker 1: for real? You weren't flying for real. I was literally
- 0:26Speaker 1: was flying. Okay, well, now it was hell uncomfortable. I
- 0:30Speaker 1: hate that shit because the fucking uh can I cuss
- 0:32Speaker 1: on this thing? Of course? Oh the fucking harness. They
- 0:36Speaker 1: put it inside my pants. So for one, it's a
- 0:39Speaker 1: dude kneeling down in front of me while my pants
- 0:41Speaker 1: is like kind of down. Can you enjoy that? No,
- 0:43Speaker 1: you're funny as hell and I'm already and Compton in
- 0:45Speaker 1: the middle of the hood. So them was like, oh,
- 0:49Speaker 1: I'm dealing with that. And then it's just uncomfortable like
- 0:52Speaker 1: some and like because it's up against you're skinny, and
- 0:54Speaker 1: they needed tight. The tighter it is, the safer it
- 0:56Speaker 1: is for you. So I'm already like scary about heights
- 0:58Speaker 1: and stuff like that. Something put his as possible, So
- 1:01Speaker 1: then I had to get used to like flipping backwards
- 1:04Speaker 1: and like my weight and stuff like that. But it
- 1:06Speaker 1: just kind of reminds like you're facing Like a few
- 1:08Speaker 1: of the shots reminded me of fifty at the super
- 1:10Speaker 1: Bowl bent that's far, you know what I mean, like
- 1:13Speaker 1: hanging upside down, you know, I mean for a little
- 1:14Speaker 1: bit about fifty in a regular video the super Bowl,
- 1:16Speaker 1: he looked kind of washed. That's my boy. But super
- 1:19Speaker 1: Bowl he was a little heavy when he pulled down,
- 1:22Speaker 1: but he wasn't heavy. I just think that's grown up weight. Yeah, exactly,
- 1:25Speaker 1: So you're saying mine look like grown up. Wait, I
- 1:28Speaker 1: got you. Anyway, When is your album coming out? Man?
- 1:31Speaker 1: It's been a while. I know it's been what three years?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Was it? Twenty nineteen, twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen, yeah, twenty nineteen?
- 1:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, soon next one of these days. I mean, listen,
- 1:42Speaker 1: you're here for a reason, exactly. You know it's rollout.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The album is done. I didn't just pull up right,
- 1:47Speaker 1: I mean, you got music out. Yeah, I do exactly
- 1:49Speaker 1: that me. I'm back outside. How many songs on your album? Yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 1: asked me questions. I don't even know if I can answer.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna say twelve to fifteen because I didn't ask you.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Everything is like, you know, everything is part of rollo.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You know you got to surprise people. But it's is ridiculous.
- 2:07Speaker 1: You guys are do an interviews. I know it's fucked up. Man,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I love you, bro. What are we doing here? I
- 2:11Speaker 1: don't know capping twelve to fifteen? I wanted to be
- 2:15Speaker 1: for real, in my brain, I wanted to be thirteen.
- 2:17Speaker 1: But I'm just I'll be like trying to figure it
- 2:20Speaker 1: out until the day it's released. I probably might take
- 2:22Speaker 1: something out or add some last minute Hell Mary, you
- 2:25Speaker 1: never know. Yeah, is it like because I feel like
- 2:27Speaker 1: that's like, to me, a nice number for an album. Yeah,
- 2:30Speaker 1: And we start getting into like that twenty twenty one,
- 2:33Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, it's a little overwhelming sometimes listening a
- 2:35Speaker 1: lot to that much music. I once so I was
- 2:37Speaker 1: gonna do ten, but I was like, I don't make
- 2:39Speaker 1: them wait three years to ten something. They're gonna be pissed.
- 2:42Speaker 1: So how was everything just in terms of like just life. Man,
- 2:46Speaker 1: we got through a pandemic, you know what I mean.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Obviously that happened. I was in waiting three years for
- 2:53Speaker 1: your music, so I'm assuming you've lived a lot of
- 2:55Speaker 1: life in that time. Yeah, pandemic was was good and
- 2:59Speaker 1: bad for me, like as far as like quarantining because
- 3:01Speaker 1: like I had to be in the house, but it
- 3:03Speaker 1: also like tested my relationship out I was in at
- 3:06Speaker 1: the moment. We ended up breaking up, which like I
- 3:08Speaker 1: don't think we was right for each other anyway, So
- 3:10Speaker 1: I think the pandemic kind of made you all break up.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Like I mean, it forced us to be around each other.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I think it was problems we would have kept prolonging.
- 3:15Speaker 1: We probably would have ended up breaking up, but not
- 3:17Speaker 1: like when we needed to. You know what I'm saying,
- 3:19Speaker 1: Because if think got it happened before you had a
- 3:20Speaker 1: baby or I mean, yeah with her, Yeah, you're right,
- 3:22Speaker 1: You're right, you're right, because I do got a kid.
- 3:24Speaker 1: But yeah, but it just not with Yeah, it's not
- 3:26Speaker 1: with her, So that happened then. Also, just like an
- 3:31Speaker 1: artist in my head, I deal with that a lot,
- 3:33Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I can't lie about that.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Then going through therapy and then finally being in a
- 3:38Speaker 1: good headspace, still struggling some days. So yeah, whatep, y'all
- 3:42Speaker 1: got to stop the interview real quick to tell you
- 3:43Speaker 1: about our good folks over at blue Shoe. Now, Fellas,
- 3:47Speaker 1: if you're out there and you're suffering from a little
- 3:50Speaker 1: bit of that ed erect how dysfunction, it's totally normal.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It happens. You could be stressed out at work, you
- 3:56Speaker 1: could be just having an anxiety in life, and you

- 4:58Speaker 1: use that promo code bootleg and try for a month
- 5:00Speaker 1: for free therapy. Man, I feel like something that a
- 5:04Speaker 1: lot of people are comfortable. I feel like it's starting
- 5:07Speaker 1: to become normalized. I love this. Like my generation, I'm
- 5:10Speaker 1: starting to realize we're so amazing, just as far as
- 5:12Speaker 1: like I look around all my homies's great parents. When
- 5:15Speaker 1: I remember us being younger, none of us had our dads,
- 5:17Speaker 1: and now we like over like we're just overcompensating for
- 5:20Speaker 1: what we didn't have. You know what I'm saying, We
- 5:22Speaker 1: super like dads now. And so yeah, even with therapy,
- 5:26Speaker 1: like my home is just starting to be open to it,
- 5:28Speaker 1: Black and brown community starting to be open to it.
- 5:30Speaker 1: So I think it's dope. What is was there anything
- 5:33Speaker 1: like kind of was like your tipping point? Where like
- 5:36Speaker 1: I need to go talk to somebody type shit for me.
- 5:38Speaker 1: My feelings was just hurt. I was just crying. I
- 5:39Speaker 1: was tired of crying. The opportunity was presented to me
- 5:42Speaker 1: from LVRN because you know, they care about the artist's
- 5:46Speaker 1: mental health, so shout out to them, and I didn't
- 5:48Speaker 1: really want to do it at first. It felt like homework.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Some days it's still feel like class, you know what
- 5:52Speaker 1: I'm saying, because yeah, because I've been to therapy that
- 5:54Speaker 1: sometimes you get like exercises and DA like yeah, do this,
- 5:56Speaker 1: do this and we'll meet next week exactly, so having
- 5:59Speaker 1: to do stuf when you leave, and it's like, man,
- 6:01Speaker 1: I just want to come here and not have to
- 6:02Speaker 1: deal with it when I get out of therapy. So
- 6:04Speaker 1: it's still a struggle, you know what I'm saying. But
- 6:06Speaker 1: I'm starting to notice the benefits of it, just like
- 6:08Speaker 1: I'm more patient or open to people and like understanding
- 6:11Speaker 1: where they're coming from and stuff like do you find
- 6:12Speaker 1: yourself like practicing shit you learn like in real time
- 6:14Speaker 1: to be like oh this is yeah, just like I
- 6:17Speaker 1: get tested still and the way I'm able to approach
- 6:20Speaker 1: these situations now and I just react out of like
- 6:24Speaker 1: anger or feel like I'm getting attacked when somebody give
- 6:26Speaker 1: me their opinion on something. And I know in the
- 6:28Speaker 1: past that's been my problem, is always feeling attacked when
- 6:31Speaker 1: somebody go against my way of thinking. Hmm, what were
- 6:34Speaker 1: you so sad about? Man? I got dumped, you know
- 6:37Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Also, the breakup, yeah, mess me up
- 6:40Speaker 1: because I feel like this was like my first healthy relationship.
- 6:43Speaker 1: All my other relationship was like based off like trauma
- 6:45Speaker 1: bonding and stuff like that was my baby bonding, you
- 6:48Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Just hurt people. Yeah, just like
- 6:49Speaker 1: hurt people love hurt people, you know what I'm saying.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So they hurt together exactly. So this was the first
- 6:53Speaker 1: time I felt like I had a girl who's like
- 6:56Speaker 1: she was open to my kid, like, she was receptive
- 6:58Speaker 1: to him, she was at the games with me. It
- 7:00Speaker 1: was just healthy and I don't think I knew how
- 7:02Speaker 1: to handle that. So I don't think I was a
- 7:03Speaker 1: great boyfriend at the time. But also she had a
- 7:05Speaker 1: lot of growling to do, and so I think we
- 7:07Speaker 1: just hit our ceiling and it messed me up because
- 7:10Speaker 1: I was my best friend. Also, you know what I'm saying,
- 7:13Speaker 1: that was the part I didn't know how to like.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I was just trying to fill that void because it
- 7:17Speaker 1: was just missing. So I was messing with a lot
- 7:18Speaker 1: of thoughts and stuff like that just to feel that space.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I didn't know how to sit sit at home by
- 7:23Speaker 1: myself for more than a day. I got to have
- 7:25Speaker 1: somebody over, but then also don't want them like being
- 7:29Speaker 1: cleany or kissing on me. It's just like it's just weird.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So you kind of use like a that was kind
- 7:35Speaker 1: of like your coping mechanism exactly being a thought being
- 7:39Speaker 1: a thought. Yeah, how do you feel like you're over it? Yeah?
- 7:43Speaker 1: I still go through days when I'm mad because I
- 7:45Speaker 1: feel like I didn't get no closure, right. I feel
- 7:47Speaker 1: like what happened just disappeared on your well, it's just
- 7:51Speaker 1: you know, life, her life. I feel like she still
- 7:53Speaker 1: have to go through her whole phase. I ain't gonna lie.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I feel honestly, it's an important phase to every girl,
- 7:57Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And I feel like she
- 7:58Speaker 1: was starting to grow to resent me because she still
- 8:01Speaker 1: had she had life she needed to see. She also
- 8:04Speaker 1: a singer, so I felt like I'm not sure she
- 8:06Speaker 1: felt supported in all the space of her career, and
- 8:10Speaker 1: I got an ego too, so who knows how I
- 8:12Speaker 1: was acting or how she was perceiving it. But I
- 8:14Speaker 1: also don't want to hold her accountable. She was doing
- 8:16Speaker 1: weird stuff on Instagram, you know, she dating somebody I
- 8:19Speaker 1: know now and oh shit and stuff like that. But
- 8:23Speaker 1: what was like for you, Like, was there a specific
- 8:26Speaker 1: reason why it took you so long to get this
- 8:28Speaker 1: album out or do you feel like it was just
- 8:31Speaker 1: I mean, so many different things probably ended up accumulating
- 8:34Speaker 1: in this I know I could. I'm sure it was
- 8:36Speaker 1: because I was in my head a lot. I'm so
- 8:40Speaker 1: heavy on like growth and like making sure my my
- 8:42Speaker 1: next stuff is buried in my last project, and I
- 8:44Speaker 1: felt like my last project was so amazing, So that
- 8:46Speaker 1: first year after that, I was definitely in that bag.
- 8:49Speaker 1: When I finally was ready to record again, I feel
- 8:51Speaker 1: like I was making the same songs that I did
- 8:54Speaker 1: from Everything for Sale because it was my comfort space.
- 8:56Speaker 1: So then it was that my managers having to be like, nah,
- 8:59Speaker 1: we not doing this again. You're gonna have to find
- 9:01Speaker 1: a new pocket. So being frustrated about that took a
- 9:04Speaker 1: minute to get over that hump. Then yeah, I finally
- 9:08Speaker 1: got to a space where I had something I wanted
- 9:09Speaker 1: to talk about. I also don't know how to draw
- 9:11Speaker 1: from fake spaces. I gotta find something something real. Yeah,
- 9:15Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So I obviously don't want
- 9:17Speaker 1: this to be my production rate. Every three years I
- 9:20Speaker 1: drop an album. So I think the therapy also like
- 9:24Speaker 1: opening my mind up to stuff. It's been helping. So
- 9:27Speaker 1: I think I'm in a great space now. So you
- 9:28Speaker 1: mentioned LVRN, I mean yeah, I bring it up a lot. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 9:32Speaker 1: those my managers are great. Shout out to them. Shout
- 9:35Speaker 1: out to them. Yo. They have some of my favorite artists,
- 9:38Speaker 1: Me and Me and me and me, and I love
- 9:40Speaker 1: I Love I Love Black. That's my dog. Amazing. Huh,
- 9:43Speaker 1: he's the man. I love Black. Black's like he's like
- 9:49Speaker 1: I would say, he's like in my probably top five
- 9:51Speaker 1: favorite artists of the last decade. I love Black's new music. Man,
- 9:56Speaker 1: it's coming black season. I just seen you on somebody's
- 9:59Speaker 1: story the other day, so I'm way like you, bro.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, we need some new music, yeah for sure,
- 10:04Speaker 1: some new merch all that good stuff. What is it for?
- 10:06Speaker 1: You know? Cause like I feel like being signed to
- 10:09Speaker 1: eminem has got to be a gifted a curse? How
- 10:12Speaker 1: how would you kind of perceive it? Because we always
- 10:14Speaker 1: hear like, what curse? What do you think is a curse?
- 10:17Speaker 1: I mean, Eminem is you know, he's he's the greatest
- 10:20Speaker 1: rapper alive, that is I feel, you know what I mean?
- 10:23Speaker 1: So like when people think of Eminem, they think of
- 10:25Speaker 1: him being like the goat, you know. And I feel
- 10:29Speaker 1: like anytime he signs an artist, it's very much expected
- 10:32Speaker 1: that that artist also has to be in that scene.
- 10:35Speaker 1: And like, think about he signed you, he signed the
- 10:37Speaker 1: Griselda Guys Slaughterhouse back in the day. I'm forgetting I'm sure. Yeah,
- 10:41Speaker 1: some other artists. Who else on shady? Yellow Wolf? Who?
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yellow Wolf? Yello? Oh yellow Wolf? Yeah, but that means
- 10:48Speaker 1: he's not on shady anymore? Who's on shady? You don't
- 10:51Speaker 1: know that he kind had of falling out? Oh my bad?
- 10:54Speaker 1: I believe yellow Wolf. No, I don't say my bad.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I don't know the place. Royce my dog. But let
- 11:02Speaker 1: me just tell you this, I don't think Royce is
- 11:04Speaker 1: on shady though he was at the point, come on,
- 11:06Speaker 1: wasn't you know better than me? Why shout out to
- 11:12Speaker 1: roy is really one of my favorite people in the world.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's also one of the greatest rappers of all time. Literally,
- 11:18Speaker 1: I literally think at any given time he might be
- 11:21Speaker 1: a greatest rapper alive. There's like a few of those guys.
- 11:23Speaker 1: It's like Royce Black thought, I think Conway's in that discussion.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I think when you're at your peak, you could be
- 11:31Speaker 1: in that discussion, Emine if you didn't say something towards me.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I was about the trip, like no, fuck you. But
- 11:39Speaker 1: what I'll be saying is like, I don't know, I
- 11:41Speaker 1: never feel it because it's the one I'm competitive, So
- 11:45Speaker 1: it's like everybody's like even playing field for me. Obviously,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I respect everything how Eminem changed my life, but you
- 11:50Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, I'm still trying to get to
- 11:52Speaker 1: where I'm trying to go. So I don't feel no
- 11:54Speaker 1: pressure from whatever Eminem is accomplished, because I like that
- 11:57Speaker 1: my own goals. And also, it's like this ship I
- 12:00Speaker 1: faced in my neighborhood. It's like, once I come to
- 12:02Speaker 1: this shit, it's like it's just nothing. It's like, whatever,
- 12:05Speaker 1: what's some little you know, it's a little little not
- 12:07Speaker 1: like that's some little white kids on the internet that's
- 12:09Speaker 1: gonna be mad. I'm not rapping fast. It's the most,
- 12:11Speaker 1: the most. It is a thing, for real, for real,
- 12:13Speaker 1: My It's like, from the outside looking in, a lot
- 12:16Speaker 1: of people think I don't fit with the shady rosters
- 12:18Speaker 1: stand for. You know what I'm saying, eminem though, you
- 12:20Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, I could borrow any given time,
- 12:22Speaker 1: and that's not I just don't want to do it
- 12:23Speaker 1: all the time. Way you can borrow up eminem at
- 12:25Speaker 1: any time, you know what I'm saying. Maybe, but I
- 12:28Speaker 1: was just saying, you know, I could go off, but
- 12:32Speaker 1: that's not you know what I'm saying. I'm more so
- 12:34Speaker 1: in delivering my message, and if great lines come in
- 12:37Speaker 1: the process of that, that's dope, little metaphors and stuff,
- 12:39Speaker 1: But trying to get my point across it and make
- 12:41Speaker 1: great music and talk to my people. So yeah, don't
- 12:44Speaker 1: care about what those shady fans are saying. I love
- 12:47Speaker 1: the ship out of y'all. But you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 12:49Speaker 1: I was just in Detroit. I told you what Tech
- 12:50Speaker 1: nine concert in Detroit, and I saw with my own
- 12:53Speaker 1: eyes Detroit white people, like not just normal white people
- 12:58Speaker 1: like Detroit white people like you know, like that listened
- 13:01Speaker 1: to insane clown possy and stuff, and I was like, yeah,
- 13:05Speaker 1: it was just a different different white trash in Detroit hits.
- 13:08Speaker 1: You gotta see Australian white trash. I bet you they're
- 13:11Speaker 1: fucking different, but I bet you they could survive off
- 13:14Speaker 1: the grid. Nah. It was fired. Eighty thousand people five
- 13:17Speaker 1: year olds out there in Australia and Australia at this
- 13:20Speaker 1: concert and it was just wild. You opened YEP and
- 13:23Speaker 1: he brought me out on his head. That's a big man.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Super grateful for that. Nice guy, Eminem, Yes, nice guy. Uh.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Sometimes I feel bad for how big he is because
- 13:32Speaker 1: he can't do some of the stuff that he would
- 13:34Speaker 1: probably want to regular people want to do. So I
- 13:38Speaker 1: do see he trapped in celebrity sometimes, but I take that.
- 13:42Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I know you obviously wrote
- 13:45Speaker 1: on the album, but I just want to get your
- 13:46Speaker 1: opinion on this Kendrick album. Man, amazing, it's incredible right
- 13:50Speaker 1: to be from Compton. Shout out to that. What was
- 13:52Speaker 1: your favorite song on the album? Count me out? Count
- 13:54Speaker 1: me O's amazing love at that's right when I right
- 13:58Speaker 1: after we listened, I was just the one, I said
- 14:00Speaker 1: play back again, did you. I was gonna say, like,
- 14:02Speaker 1: how did you initially listen to the album? Because for me,
- 14:04Speaker 1: like we had like premiered it at the radio station,
- 14:07Speaker 1: and I was like, man, I don't want to listen
- 14:09Speaker 1: to it tonight because I can't give it all the
- 14:11Speaker 1: attention I wanted. So I waited until like Saturday or
- 14:13Speaker 1: Sunday and just sat with it and my friend made
- 14:16Speaker 1: it thing. We it was like my close music friends,
- 14:19Speaker 1: like my two producers and a couple other people I respect,
- 14:22Speaker 1: and we had the lights low. I was sitting on
- 14:24Speaker 1: the floor with it, bottle champagne and we just played
- 14:27Speaker 1: it too. Incredible body of work, and I feel like
- 14:30Speaker 1: it's like it's it's it's like the vulnerability from artist's
- 14:33Speaker 1: biggest Kendrick, Like, think how vulnerable he is, And that's
- 14:37Speaker 1: that's the necessary part. And I'm glad you said that,
- 14:39Speaker 1: because that's extremely necessary, super necessary. Somebody that big is
- 14:43Speaker 1: still vulnerable and not yeah, and still goes through like
- 14:46Speaker 1: the same random human situations we go. Yeah, because to
- 14:50Speaker 1: do this that he opened and talked about it, Yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 1: everyone goes through it, but like not everyone in his
- 14:54Speaker 1: position is going to share that kind of shit. You
- 14:59Speaker 1: helping Summer with reverse, Like, just give me a little
- 15:01Speaker 1: rundown of how that happened? Are in dream Team this
- 15:06Speaker 1: the play was brought to me by Justice Uh, one
- 15:08Speaker 1: of my managers, and I just helped to what I
- 15:10Speaker 1: can help with scent it over. You know what I'm saying,
- 15:12Speaker 1: Summer did her thing went crazy? That's gotta be up there,
- 15:15Speaker 1: and like, you know, being a kid from Compton, Yeah yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 1: I mean, you know what I'm saying. Kendrick one of
- 15:21Speaker 1: my favorite rappers in the world. So would you say,
- 15:24Speaker 1: because I always say Kendrick is top five, dead or alive.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I feel like if you could put Biggie in your
- 15:28Speaker 1: top five, you old dusty ass motherfuckers. By the way,
- 15:30Speaker 1: I'm one of them. M hm, he's got two albums.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I don't put bigg in my top five, but a
- 15:35Speaker 1: lot of people don't like Brian go get it from
- 15:38Speaker 1: from Interscope who was here with you? He's an old
- 15:40Speaker 1: dusty New Yorker. He's definitely in his top five off
- 15:42Speaker 1: a two hours get it though. But I'm like, Yoka,
- 15:45Speaker 1: if you get my top five, did or a lot
- 15:47Speaker 1: what the effects? And he's probably. I mean, I feel like,
- 15:51Speaker 1: if you think of like first and if we're not
- 15:53Speaker 1: even we're excluding section eighty. But let's even include like
- 15:57Speaker 1: section eighty. But like, I feel like the only person
- 16:00Speaker 1: who could fuck with his first four albums is Kanye.
- 16:03Speaker 1: That's a good that's a good point. Facts them first
- 16:06Speaker 1: four albums was undeniable because if it's section eighty, good Kid,
- 16:11Speaker 1: Mad City to Pimp a Butterfly, Damn, that's for well.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I mean, if he takes section eighty out, let's start
- 16:15Speaker 1: with this good good Kid, Mad City. Yeah, even ship,
- 16:19Speaker 1: not including untitled, which is kind of like his lost tapes.
- 16:22Speaker 1: You know I love untitled me too. That was my
- 16:24Speaker 1: ship doesn't get talked about enough. And we got an
- 16:27Speaker 1: untitled project from Kendrick. That's some real rap ship. Like
- 16:30Speaker 1: NAS gave us a lost tapes, Kendrick gave us untitled. Yeah,
- 16:32Speaker 1: he really gave us a lot of music. Who is
- 16:35Speaker 1: your top five? That's a weird question, but like you know,
- 16:37Speaker 1: it's probably, I mean, it don't really rotate. It's the
- 16:41Speaker 1: same ones. I'm not gonna say no order, but I
- 16:43Speaker 1: just know it's Lil Wayne, Kendrick, jay Z, tupac Eminem
- 16:53Speaker 1: was the last one. Political. You don't say Eminem. Those
- 16:58Speaker 1: dusty white kids are coming for you this at the
- 17:00Speaker 1: on the craft of music. Yeah, he might be number one.
- 17:03Speaker 1: If we just talk we're talking about ability to rap.
- 17:05Speaker 1: It's probably number one exactly. So yeah, my ability of
- 17:08Speaker 1: rapping Eminem could be I mean yeah, I mean yeah.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Discography you know with agree to disagree? You you like
- 17:17Speaker 1: his discography? Discography? Yeah, but I'm not gonna debate you
- 17:20Speaker 1: on it either. Yeah, I got you, I get it man. Yeah,
- 17:23Speaker 1: but yep. I love everything Eminem does. Love his first
- 17:25Speaker 1: three albums. Everything Eminem has ever dropped is amazing. Loved
- 17:29Speaker 1: his first three I thought you were asking me. I
- 17:31Speaker 1: loved music. To be murdered by that ship was fire?
- 17:34Speaker 1: What's the least favorite one had all his albums? Val
- 17:37Speaker 1: was a revival? Was that the one that came out
- 17:40Speaker 1: in like where he Was? You know? That's the one
- 17:43Speaker 1: he said he didn't like, right, one of them he
- 17:45Speaker 1: said he didn't like Listen. I'm gonna say this about Eminem.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Eminem is one of my favorites ever. Eminem Show is
- 17:50Speaker 1: one of my favorite albums of all time. I love
- 17:52Speaker 1: Eminem Show. It's my favorite m album. I just man
- 17:57Speaker 1: Skylar Gray on every fucking album. Oh my god, you're
- 18:03Speaker 1: shout out of the Skylark. I'm just tired of Skylar Graham,
- 18:06Speaker 1: Pink Hooks, Cooks. I respect that, but I did love
- 18:10Speaker 1: Recovery was dope. That was a newer one. I mean
- 18:13Speaker 1: that was it's like twelve years old now, but like
- 18:14Speaker 1: Recovery was fire and Music to be murdered By was
- 18:18Speaker 1: like a vintage Eminem album. To me, it's because do
- 18:20Speaker 1: you know what's crazy? Because like I just missed Like
- 18:23Speaker 1: a lot of people used to talk shit about Eminem's production,
- 18:25Speaker 1: but I liked it now. It used to be hard
- 18:27Speaker 1: to me too, So like all those albums, like especially
- 18:29Speaker 1: like Eminem Show, you would hear like Eminem production and
- 18:31Speaker 1: you'd be like, oh, but then I feel like he
- 18:33Speaker 1: kind of just got a web. Music to be murdered
- 18:36Speaker 1: By it was my ship. I was like, this feels
- 18:38Speaker 1: like a vintage Eminem project. That's amazing and not a
- 18:42Speaker 1: bunch of you know, ballads. Shout out to Skylar Gray though.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Have you met Skyler Gray? Yep, she was in Australia.
- 18:48Speaker 1: She was a nice lady, amazing lady. Nice shout out
- 18:51Speaker 1: to her. Man was the Skylar Gray man shout out
- 18:53Speaker 1: to her and sharing pink all of them, shut all
- 18:58Speaker 1: of them out to white people, man, white people in general.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Man with your album, like you know, I know you're
- 19:04Speaker 1: not gonna give us any features because Shelley on there.
- 19:07Speaker 1: But that was on a single, so okay, yeah that's
- 19:10Speaker 1: already out. But anyway, how many rappers? How many other
- 19:13Speaker 1: rappers are on the album? How about that? Just give
- 19:14Speaker 1: me that? M m M. As of right now, I'm
- 19:20Speaker 1: counting four in my brain. If we just say they rap,
- 19:23Speaker 1: yeah for the rappers? Yeah, yeah, no idea when the
- 19:28Speaker 1: album's coming out or I got idea, an idea I
- 19:31Speaker 1: will say in the next forty days. That sounds about right. Yeah,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I mean you are making your rounds exactly, you know
- 19:37Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yeah, what about like in terms of
- 19:40Speaker 1: like your writing process. A lot of times, like when
- 19:44Speaker 1: I'm in the studio, a lot of artists nowadays, I
- 19:46Speaker 1: feel like they do they punch in line by line,
- 19:48Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, And I can't. I don't.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I can't. I respect people who do that and imire him.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I just can't do that. That just seems so like
- 19:55Speaker 1: counterproductive for me. Are you still putting the pen to
- 19:57Speaker 1: paper or the notes. Nah, I just I write in
- 20:00Speaker 1: my brain. I've been doing that since ninth grade when
- 20:02Speaker 1: my glass is messed up and I can see like
- 20:04Speaker 1: the paper no more. But also I just need a
- 20:06Speaker 1: trigger word, Like if I'm scared, I'm gonna forget the sentence,
- 20:09Speaker 1: I just write a word down in my notes. Oh fire,
- 20:12Speaker 1: It's one word, and then I could connect the bar.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna remember the bar. Oh shit like that? So
- 20:16Speaker 1: will you like do that? Like? Like I guess if
- 20:19Speaker 1: you get send a pack of beats, are you doing
- 20:21Speaker 1: that shit in the studio or are you doing that
- 20:22Speaker 1: shit at home? And then I don't like the studio.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I hate the studio. I do everything at home. I
- 20:25Speaker 1: literally hate the studio. Why because it's cold, it's people
- 20:30Speaker 1: walking around. It's just like I need my intimate. My
- 20:33Speaker 1: music is so personal to me. I'm not ready for
- 20:36Speaker 1: people to It's only a certain amount of people I
- 20:37Speaker 1: trust to hear it. And you record yourself, no, but
- 20:40Speaker 1: he with me every day, my producer Engineering Area, one
- 20:43Speaker 1: of my best friends. So I can't record myself, though
- 20:45Speaker 1: I definitely send him stuff when I'm just at home. Yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 1: when Blast just told us that he recorded Chosen on
- 20:51Speaker 1: a Focus right in a road mic at his house.
- 20:55Speaker 1: That shit blew my mind. I was like, that's crazy.
- 20:57Speaker 1: That's like the two hundred and fifty dollars like package.
- 20:59Speaker 1: That's but I did my first project, thirty forty eight
- 21:02Speaker 1: I did at home by myself too. That Michael was
- 21:03Speaker 1: probably fifty dollars. So I just had to stack my
- 21:06Speaker 1: vocals a bunch of times to make it sound full.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I just copy and paste, copy and paste because I
- 21:10Speaker 1: didn't know how to really do it. Mix some aster shit, yeah,
- 21:12Speaker 1: and I just put it out. So, uh, what in
- 21:15Speaker 1: your you know, obviously LA. I feel like it's kind
- 21:18Speaker 1: of how the renaissance in terms of like getting a
- 21:21Speaker 1: lot more respected hip hop, and you know, I feel
- 21:23Speaker 1: like there was like a dry spell, you know, from
- 21:26Speaker 1: like man, I was just with this nigga from LA,
- 21:28Speaker 1: I mean Atlanta the other day. He was talking crazy
- 21:31Speaker 1: about LA and just how we not respected outside of
- 21:34Speaker 1: LA and it was pissing me off. And then it
- 21:36Speaker 1: was just like rowdy flopped, where's that at. We don't
- 21:39Speaker 1: got him? And it's like I'll be saying it, I'd
- 21:42Speaker 1: be one in the world's respect it. But it still
- 21:44Speaker 1: feels like we got a lot of work to do
- 21:46Speaker 1: as far as, like what I was saying yesterday is
- 21:49Speaker 1: out here, they always want to bring up Atlanta and
- 21:50Speaker 1: how everybody support each other. The streets dictate how LA
- 21:53Speaker 1: move and you know what I'm saying, everybody can't move
- 21:56Speaker 1: around each Well, I was gonna say, do you feel
- 21:57Speaker 1: like that? That is because I always say that, like
- 21:59Speaker 1: sometimes the pop pics or get in the way of
- 22:01Speaker 1: like certain artists working together, or like you said, people
- 22:06Speaker 1: say that about Atlanta, but it might not be actually
- 22:09Speaker 1: possible for everyone to move together out here. But I
- 22:11Speaker 1: do feel like there is some sort of cohesiveness with
- 22:13Speaker 1: some of the younger generation when it comes to like
- 22:15Speaker 1: the Rucci's and the One Take Jays, and like obviously
- 22:19Speaker 1: nationally they might not be where we want them to be,
- 22:21Speaker 1: But I just feel like there's something, you know, the
- 22:23Speaker 1: lac and that is thriving. And that's what makes One
- 22:26Speaker 1: Take I think will make One Takes you amazing because
- 22:28Speaker 1: he stay true to hisself. He's not trying to gang bang,
- 22:31Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, and that make him able
- 22:33Speaker 1: to move in all these different spaces, and we need
- 22:35Speaker 1: artists like that that could do that. He could go
- 22:37Speaker 1: do work with Rucci and then go work with Blue
- 22:40Speaker 1: Face and then just be anywhere he want. You know,
- 22:41Speaker 1: I'm saying nobody saying it and nobody saying nothing, and
- 22:44Speaker 1: we love them, but it's a lot of niggas. It's
- 22:46Speaker 1: a lot of upcoming artists that feel they got to
- 22:48Speaker 1: attest theirselves to a neighborhood. And that's just young black
- 22:52Speaker 1: men in general. They gotta feel like they got to
- 22:54Speaker 1: do that to feel like secure or feel cool. So
- 22:56Speaker 1: then that prevents them from being able to work with
- 22:58Speaker 1: other artists because it's thirty years of tension between these
- 23:02Speaker 1: two neighborhoods and you just can't do it. Yeah, it's
- 23:05Speaker 1: crazy because, uh, you know, working with Head had had
- 23:08Speaker 1: to break down all the politics at LA to me
- 23:09Speaker 1: one night when I first moved out here in like
- 23:11Speaker 1: twenty seventeen, I was like, fuck, I had no idea.
- 23:15Speaker 1: It's sad. It's hell, it's sad. But people from the
- 23:17Speaker 1: outside that don't live here don't understand like the intricacies
- 23:20Speaker 1: of some of the shit because like we just think
- 23:22Speaker 1: of like nationally, you think of LA, you just think
- 23:24Speaker 1: blood's versus crips, Like it's definitely not that simple. No,
- 23:27Speaker 1: it's not. It's bloods versus blood this bloods, crips verse cribs.
- 23:30Speaker 1: That's the majority of the time of what it is.
- 23:32Speaker 1: It's like same, all same now. So it's like and
- 23:34Speaker 1: it's like some of the more heavier conflicts are between
- 23:38Speaker 1: except you know, crips verse cribs actually son and then
- 23:42Speaker 1: not knowing what had to wear in what areas? Man.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I I remember it was recently. I knew somebody that
- 23:49Speaker 1: got that got shot and I was trying to support them,
- 23:51Speaker 1: and then I had commented on the page like I
- 23:54Speaker 1: hope you get better, and then I know somebody was like, yeah,
- 23:58Speaker 1: egrace the other thing because you know what I'm saying
- 24:00Speaker 1: has something to do with that, and I'm just like, oh,
- 24:02Speaker 1: what happened? Man, I'm like, I never know nothing. I'm
- 24:04Speaker 1: just saying it dark. So it'd be like that's la
- 24:07Speaker 1: politics for you. Hey, we got to stop the interview
- 24:10Speaker 1: real quick to tell you about our good folks at

- 25:06Speaker 1: get you some odd socks. Let's get back to the interview.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Who are some of your favorite LA artists that like
- 25:11Speaker 1: are kind of on the come up? You know what
- 25:12Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like that you're just a fan of I
- 25:14Speaker 1: like Babystone Guerrillas. I like what they're doing. My young homies.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I gotta give them a shameless plug. Epic must Die
- 25:20Speaker 1: in KB Devine who else I like right now? Asim
- 25:24Speaker 1: a bobster, I think he dope. He's got that, uh,
- 25:28Speaker 1: I like doing your move. Wally is from my neighborhood. Obviously,
- 25:32Speaker 1: I love Wally. Wally's dope Wally and why yes, I
- 25:35Speaker 1: love him. Key Riches three youngest from my neighborhood that
- 25:38Speaker 1: I love. And let me see what else out here.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I still want to take j but he already kind
- 25:43Speaker 1: of up now. Wally is dope though. Waley amazing, super talented,
- 25:47Speaker 1: Like you're really right, and yeah, I feel like he
- 25:49Speaker 1: makes records that can really translate, like exactly, and that's
- 25:51Speaker 1: one of them artists that like that can move outside
- 25:53Speaker 1: of LA and people connect to it. You know what
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'm saying a lot of what we got to stop
- 25:58Speaker 1: doing is stop making our music just so about like
- 26:00Speaker 1: for our homies. And I used to do that early too,
- 26:03Speaker 1: Like I'm just gonna make music for the hood, so
- 26:04Speaker 1: when I come to the hood, the hood could be
- 26:06Speaker 1: playing it. But then we go out, you want the
- 26:08Speaker 1: world to play, yeah, exactly, then you leave it like
- 26:10Speaker 1: what the fuck? I mean? That's why Roddy figured it,
- 26:13Speaker 1: you know, they figured it out. That's what I'm saying
- 26:14Speaker 1: once once you find the formulist up and so yeah,
- 26:17Speaker 1: even when we had that wave of muster and Roddy,
- 26:19Speaker 1: I think it was a year or two ago, right,
- 26:21Speaker 1: Uh Roddy's album came out in uh December of twenty nineteen,
- 26:29Speaker 1: right yeah, yeah, Yeah, it was everywhere, and I feel
- 26:32Speaker 1: like that was our chance to like be back in
- 26:34Speaker 1: the world and like figure it out. But you know,
- 26:36Speaker 1: we're still gonna have our shot. But it's crazy because
- 26:39Speaker 1: you think of the Roddy situation and like how long
- 26:41Speaker 1: he took to put out put out his album kind
- 26:43Speaker 1: of similar to you. And I feel like sometimes when
- 26:48Speaker 1: you wait a while, you can maybe overthink it and
- 26:51Speaker 1: you know it's not it's a real fear, and it's
- 26:53Speaker 1: a real thing because the more they it's always gonna
- 26:56Speaker 1: be like, oh, you made this this way this long,
- 26:58Speaker 1: and you didn't live up to expectations because you're not
- 27:00Speaker 1: gonna be able to please everybody, and that one time
- 27:02Speaker 1: you see that could just mess up your whole mental state.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I know for me it will, like you know what
- 27:06Speaker 1: I'm saying. So it's tough, but you also don't want
- 27:10Speaker 1: to oversaturate yourself. You also don't want to rush your product,
- 27:13Speaker 1: but you gotta let that shit go. You do. Gotta
- 27:16Speaker 1: just let it go and just create and just give
- 27:19Speaker 1: it out to the world. You know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 27:20Speaker 1: low key, man, I mean I see. I feel like
- 27:23Speaker 1: that sometimes, Like when we think of like we all
- 27:25Speaker 1: know artists, you're one of them. I'm sure that. I'm
- 27:28Speaker 1: sure you've had songs that you've recorded in the last
- 27:30Speaker 1: three years that you loved, like two and a half
- 27:33Speaker 1: years ago when you first recorded them, they probably didn't
- 27:34Speaker 1: make the album because they might have been old to you. Yeah,
- 27:36Speaker 1: did that happen. No, it still happens. I just had
- 27:39Speaker 1: to bring an old song back like two weeks ago
- 27:42Speaker 1: because it's old to you, but no one's heard it exactly.
- 27:44Speaker 1: I see that shit all the time. But I'm glad
- 27:46Speaker 1: if I left the song for a little bit and
- 27:48Speaker 1: came back to it and with new ears and I
- 27:50Speaker 1: was like, oh, I was tripping this song slap and
- 27:52Speaker 1: that'd be a lot a lot of times too. So yeah.
- 27:56Speaker 1: But I also I feel like I've rushed songs out
- 27:58Speaker 1: that I was just trying to put music out and
- 28:00Speaker 1: I was like, I don't really love this, But then
- 28:02Speaker 1: I guess that could happen all the time. Why do
- 28:04Speaker 1: you think you're still so slept on, man, because I
- 28:06Speaker 1: feel like you're very slept on, very underrated when it
- 28:08Speaker 1: comes to just the conversations of just the best rappers,
- 28:11Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Like, I feel like you
- 28:12Speaker 1: don't get the respect you deserve. What I notice, I'm
- 28:16Speaker 1: super respected by artists. It's like I'm just a nigga
- 28:19Speaker 1: that's known in the artists world to like, oh yeah,
- 28:21Speaker 1: not to play with boogie. But it could be consistency,
- 28:23Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like dropping more that could
- 28:25Speaker 1: be a thing. I hate to turn slept on because
- 28:28Speaker 1: I feel so much love, but I get it when
- 28:29Speaker 1: people say it, but it's I don't never really feel it.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I know I'm supposed to be bigger, but it's slept
- 28:34Speaker 1: on always. It's like it's really my fault if I'm not.
- 28:37Speaker 1: It is where I need to. Yeah, I think it's
- 28:39Speaker 1: just like I feel like an artist like yourself, like
- 28:41Speaker 1: I just feel like we just need more music. No,
- 28:43Speaker 1: that's that's where and I get it. So you know
- 28:45Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So that's all it is consistency. So
- 28:49Speaker 1: that's if you if any artists want to learn from me,
- 28:51Speaker 1: learn from me and like get out your head and
- 28:54Speaker 1: move forward, you know what I'm saying. And get some
- 28:55Speaker 1: therapy if you need it. Even if you don't need it,
- 28:57Speaker 1: you might not even know you need it. We all
- 28:59Speaker 1: need it. I said, well, I'm talking to black people.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I know for sure you got some type of unaddressed
- 29:04Speaker 1: trauma somewhere you gotta be. Have ever done any hallucinogenics
- 29:09Speaker 1: at all, like shrooms or any day? And I'm scared
- 29:10Speaker 1: of shrooms right now because that shit revealed that I
- 29:13Speaker 1: had some crazy shit going on in my brain and
- 29:15Speaker 1: I'm not doing it again, so I'm gonna to fix
- 29:18Speaker 1: myself some more. I like that. So you took shrooms,
- 29:20Speaker 1: and it kind of like I took it was because
- 29:22Speaker 1: I was against it like forever. So it was just
- 29:24Speaker 1: like last year, I had like a month where I
- 29:26Speaker 1: did ascid and like shrooms and it was crazy, very
- 29:30Speaker 1: therapeutic thing to do do it the right way. I
- 29:33Speaker 1: saw all my demons, I saw myself, and I hated
- 29:35Speaker 1: who I saw. You can change your life low key facts,
- 29:38Speaker 1: and I'm damn near preaching like niggas need therapy and
- 29:42Speaker 1: shrooms just as much. I feel like every everybody needs
- 29:45Speaker 1: to do shrooms once because like you gotta see that shit, Mike,
- 29:48Speaker 1: that shit was crazy. Yeah, what about would you ever
- 29:51Speaker 1: try DMT? Man? I don't think I'm ready because I
- 29:55Speaker 1: could barely handle shrooms. Yeah, I feel like DMT you
- 29:57Speaker 1: gotta be like really Yeah, and what's the other out
- 30:00Speaker 1: of Waska ayahuasca? Yeah? Ayahuasca? Yeah, that's like a all
- 30:03Speaker 1: day thing. You need a shaman. You need a shaman.
- 30:06Speaker 1: You got to like prepare yourself. Your body probably will
- 30:09Speaker 1: never be able to come back from that. I don't know, man,
- 30:11Speaker 1: I know a lot of people. You know. It's funny
- 30:13Speaker 1: because I got a couple of homies that have done
- 30:14Speaker 1: ayhuasca and they say it's like thirty years of therapy
- 30:17Speaker 1: in like six hours too. It's crazy, like so much,
- 30:20Speaker 1: I can do it. I want to do it eventually. Yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 1: I know that they have like some groups in like
- 30:25Speaker 1: Malibu and Santa Monica to do it. I like low
- 30:28Speaker 1: key want to go to like Costa Rica where it's
- 30:31Speaker 1: at that. But I also I'm like free, I'm going
- 30:34Speaker 1: to throw up ship on myself. Yeah, And they say
- 30:35Speaker 1: you do that projecting or projectile or whatever. No, but shrooms.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Shrooms are the wave, like we got to normalized shrooms
- 30:42Speaker 1: in hip hop. Man, micro dose, you got a micro dose.
- 30:45Speaker 1: No more perks. Leave the perks alone, the perks alone,
- 30:48Speaker 1: and micro micro doose bro. All right, Well, look, we're
- 30:51Speaker 1: gonna get album in the next forty days. Forty days,
- 30:54Speaker 1: all right, rappers on it for rappers, a singer too,
- 31:00Speaker 1: the singer too, singer to it's black on the album.
- 31:04Speaker 1: I'm not giving him no info, but also a black
- 31:07Speaker 1: man album. Listen, man, this fly has been fun to
- 31:11Speaker 1: be his ass or this fly has been flying around
- 31:13Speaker 1: this whole interview, this whole interview. This fly is a
- 31:16Speaker 1: co star of the fucking interview. That's what we care
- 31:18Speaker 1: for leaving the front door open earlier. But yeah, I
- 31:20Speaker 1: appreciate you pulling up man. I can't wait to hear
