- 0:42Speaker 6: Welcome, Welcome, welco.
- 0:45Speaker 4: If you listening to the Sport Shops Show, I am
- 0:47Speaker 4: the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy, Good morning to you. Have
- 0:51Speaker 4: you recovered from the super Bowl? So many after shocks,
- 0:57Speaker 4: so many stories after the game. With how we present
- 1:04Speaker 4: the Super Bowl in most of our major entertainment today
- 1:08Speaker 4: and I did say entertainment, that was not a misuse
- 1:12Speaker 4: of words. Most of our entertainment is shown in such
- 1:17Speaker 4: a huge manner with the cameras and the reporting, we
- 1:24Speaker 4: get into all kinds of stories that you forget what
- 1:27Speaker 4: actually happened, the sequences of events in the game. We
- 1:32Speaker 4: do know the Eagles won the championship, but after that,
- 1:36Speaker 4: commands you Gregg in the building with me, Big Kenny
- 1:38Speaker 4: in the building with me this morning. It starts to
- 1:42Speaker 4: become about things like John Rocker and Patrick Mahomes Senior
- 1:52Speaker 4: fighting on Bourbon Street. Now, for you that don't know,
- 1:57Speaker 4: Patrick Mahomes Senior did play and League baseball. He was
- 2:01Speaker 4: a pitcher from what I remember. John Rocker controversial picture
- 2:08Speaker 4: closer for most of his career at fastball. Both of
- 2:13Speaker 4: these guys throughout their careers commanche so we don't get
- 2:19Speaker 4: sued if I remember correctly, were guys that would hang
- 2:24Speaker 4: out with a guy like Big Kenny on a Friday
- 2:28Speaker 4: night with a baggy right now, a little clear baggie
- 2:35Speaker 4: and a substance it looks like salt or sugar or
- 2:39Speaker 4: maybe even corn starch.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Uh.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Having having both of these guys, John Rocker and Patrick
- 2:45Speaker 4: Mahomes and he has been rumored it's it's a Tory
- 2:49Speaker 4: suppler have.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Hung in those areas.
- 2:53Speaker 6: Yes, I would say, I would say so right. It's documented,
- 2:58Speaker 6: right that both of them kind of have had in there.
- 3:01Speaker 5: The freedom of information access, Yes, that's documents. If you're
- 3:07Speaker 5: talking about a police record, yeah, it's documented. And then
- 3:11Speaker 5: I'm reading that they and it when you first hear it.
- 3:15Speaker 4: You think it might be a Chiefs Eagles thing, but
- 3:20Speaker 4: then you realize that at some point it could be
- 3:25Speaker 4: two guys. You know, I don't know them to be
- 3:28Speaker 4: their careers as far as when their paths crossed, whether
- 3:32Speaker 4: they were teammates, whether they were opposing pictures, because a
- 3:38Speaker 4: lot of these little TIFFs like that. Some people don't
- 3:40Speaker 4: let incidents in sports ride. Some people don't let incidents
- 3:47Speaker 4: in life ride, right, you know, you know, sometimes you
- 3:53Speaker 4: don't people reach growth at different times. You you would
- 3:56Speaker 4: be shocked for how it played out between someone like
- 3:59Speaker 4: a Carmelo and a Kevin Gardinett, to see them dap
- 4:05Speaker 4: each other up. We saw a couple of years ago
- 4:09Speaker 4: when they had like the greatest seventy five greatest NBA players,
- 4:15Speaker 4: They had some kind of like that, and a couple
- 4:17Speaker 4: of them wouldn't shake hands. It was still mad. And
- 4:21Speaker 4: go ahead about a jump shot. Remember the jump shot
- 4:23Speaker 4: back in seventy nine when I was out of bounds
- 4:27Speaker 4: but I said I wasn't and you know stuff like that,
- 4:29Speaker 4: Remember that elbow because in their mind, as athlete's mind,
- 4:33Speaker 4: remember I remember, there's a certain place that stick. Everything
- 4:38Speaker 4: does not stick. Sometimes people like to have conversations about
- 4:41Speaker 4: certain situations and sports that might have meant and stayed
- 4:44Speaker 4: with you and it actually happened. You're actually informing that
- 4:48Speaker 4: athlete of a detail that they kind of forgot because
- 4:55Speaker 4: it meant so much to you, to you, to you.
- 4:59Speaker 4: But in hindsight, some of these and when I saw this,
- 5:02Speaker 4: I was thinking, Man, I wonder what they could be.
- 5:06Speaker 4: This didn't seem like I got the Eagles your son
- 5:09Speaker 4: and play for the chief, right and how we beat you.
- 5:13Speaker 5: I'm watching this and it looks like John Rocker comes
- 5:16Speaker 5: up and tries to shake my home senior's hand, who
- 5:20Speaker 5: jerks his hand away, and then John Rocker kind of
- 5:23Speaker 5: gives him the oh you're gonna be like that posture,
- 5:26Speaker 5: and I'm.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Just hey, Pat, hey, hey Pat, Pat ha ha Pat.
- 5:31Speaker 4: I know, I know, I know Rocket, I know rock
- 5:34Speaker 4: and car.
- 5:36Speaker 3: What man, I know who you are with?
- 5:39Speaker 4: No, bro, ain't know what up with me? What up
- 5:43Speaker 4: with two thousand and seven? What up with that? And
- 5:48Speaker 4: right and there and look, John Rocker ends up throwing
- 5:50Speaker 4: a drink at him. I mean, they really couldn't that.
- 5:53Speaker 4: What I'm saying is it was enough there, Greg to
- 5:56Speaker 4: make me realize it wasn't about the eagles. No, No,
- 5:59Speaker 4: this wasn't today that she now this was? Is there anybody?
- 6:04Speaker 4: Is there anybody somebody cut spades, Hey, don't bring that up.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Don't bring it up back in ninety six somebody? Yeah,
- 6:11Speaker 4: sit there and knee and now and I bet you
- 6:15Speaker 4: won't go any books and frond and I bet you
- 6:17Speaker 4: won't go and find it now fourteen years later.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Is there anybody in your life experience that you feel
- 6:25Speaker 5: like that about, Like if they saw you now.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Was like, what's up?
- 6:28Speaker 7: Bruh?
- 6:28Speaker 4: You be on some who like you know, No, man,
- 6:31Speaker 4: we ain't never been like that. I can actually say no,
- 6:34Speaker 4: I don't. I can't think of one person that I'm
- 6:37Speaker 4: ever afraid to bump into or have a grievance that
- 6:43Speaker 4: if I bumped into that I would at anything but cordial.
- 6:48Speaker 4: And that doesn't mean that the person hasn't wronged me, right,
- 6:52Speaker 4: I'm just more of a move on your growth is
- 6:57Speaker 4: has happened and is real and is Yeah, I mean
- 7:00Speaker 4: move on from from things. I address them once and
- 7:04Speaker 4: then I know where to put you? What category? How
- 7:07Speaker 4: much of a stiff arm? Do I hit you with
- 7:09Speaker 4: the light with.
- 7:10Speaker 5: The light or do I hit you with the Derek
- 7:12Speaker 5: Henry stiff arm, because those are two two different, completely different.
- 7:16Speaker 4: There's there's the there's the Tyreek Hill stiff arm. It's
- 7:20Speaker 4: just kind of yeah, you know, we we we cool,
- 7:23Speaker 4: but we cool. And then there's the Derrick Henry but
- 7:26Speaker 4: you're dead to me. Yeah, yeah, commands. You you have
- 7:29Speaker 4: anyone like that cousin, uh, best friend from high school? Yeah,
- 7:35Speaker 4: that they're they're a lot o lord. Yeah. Now it
- 7:43Speaker 4: might be the four facily I see you in the
- 7:47Speaker 4: grocery store. No, no, the next style. Okay, I'm more
- 7:53Speaker 4: of like avoiding. You're gonna change oles. Yeah, that's that's deep.
- 8:01Speaker 5: And see, Vigi, you have somebody to make you change ours.
- 8:05Speaker 5: See that's the thing with me. I had to grow
- 8:08Speaker 5: because you could be on another aisle and I just
- 8:11Speaker 5: know you in the stove. I'm gonna go down every
- 8:13Speaker 5: aisle till I see you, and then I'm gonna give
- 8:16Speaker 5: you that look. God No, Pardner two thousand and seven
- 8:19Speaker 5: to remember two thousand and so. I had to learn
- 8:22Speaker 5: to let it go because, like you say, a lot
- 8:25Speaker 5: of people don't feel it like that. I'm on some
- 8:27Speaker 5: you know, two thousand and seven, and they're like, who
- 8:29Speaker 5: are you, sir, I don't even remember you, let alone
- 8:32Speaker 5: two thousand.
- 8:32Speaker 4: And seven, so you know I learn ready to go. Well,
- 8:36Speaker 4: it'll be interesting to see I kept reading between these
- 8:40Speaker 4: two and for you to don't know we're talking about
- 8:41Speaker 4: Patrick Mahomes, Sr. Which is Pat Mahomes's father, who has
- 8:45Speaker 4: been in and out of the media in a negative
- 8:49Speaker 4: light for the most part most of Pat's career, whether
- 8:52Speaker 4: it's a couple of uys, some suspicious different times with
- 8:59Speaker 4: other something since it's as well, we do know Patrick
- 9:03Speaker 4: Mahomes's brother has been in trouble a couple of times
- 9:05Speaker 4: as well. And then when John Rocker was a big
- 9:09Speaker 4: name pitcher in Major League Baseball and he's alta still
- 9:13Speaker 4: very fit for the video. You know, he's in Atlanta.
- 9:16Speaker 4: He was in did you go for the Yankees? A
- 9:18Speaker 4: year or two now?
- 9:19Speaker 6: He played for the what did he Rangers?
- 9:22Speaker 4: Rangers? And maybe that's where they cross path because didn't
- 9:26Speaker 4: Patrick Mahomes They.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Weren't there at the same time. Okay, maybe they raise
- 9:32Speaker 6: and the then Cleveland Indians.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Okay, and I do know like different than football, baseball
- 9:43Speaker 4: is more of the more lenient out of the three
- 9:47Speaker 4: major sports. Football, basketball, baseball, I did learn throughout my career,
- 9:52Speaker 4: the more lenient because they play all the time, so
- 9:57Speaker 4: they don't really have It's much like curfew, and pitchers
- 10:04Speaker 4: aren't necessarily if you're not pitching that day, you have
- 10:09Speaker 4: a little more extended day and night.
- 10:12Speaker 5: You just make you just make sure that you suit
- 10:15Speaker 5: it up by game time, and the rest of that
- 10:18Speaker 5: is on your honor. You just conduct yourself accordingly.
- 10:22Speaker 4: It was nothing to find. You know, I'm playing for
- 10:26Speaker 4: the Steelers. A certain baseball team is in town to
- 10:29Speaker 4: play the Pirates, and two or three of their players
- 10:33Speaker 4: are out the night for the game three on a
- 10:35Speaker 4: Monday night at three four o'clock morning, and typically it's
- 10:40Speaker 4: because they're not playing the next day, or they don't
- 10:44Speaker 4: have a report time until like two o'clock. They're not
- 10:47Speaker 4: Whereas in football, you barely get time to go kiss
- 10:51Speaker 4: your new born baby right right o'clock. Everybody need to
- 10:55Speaker 4: be Can you sure you need to go down there
- 10:58Speaker 4: and kiss your baby? I know you ain't seen them.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Uh she was born yesterday. You know we were on
- 11:06Speaker 4: the plane, Coach, I just wanted to go see. It
- 11:09Speaker 4: is getting kind of closed. I know, we on the
- 11:11Speaker 4: fourteenth floor. It's gonna probably think can you do it
- 11:14Speaker 4: next week? Can we do it after the playoffs? Can
- 11:17Speaker 4: we just get the playoffs out the way? That's our
- 11:19Speaker 4: football offer? Race? But Patrick mahone, John ROCKERSONR. Hopefully they'll
- 11:24Speaker 4: be on. Someone said they proposed what's the name? Dave Portenoy,
- 11:30Speaker 4: Yes from Barstool Sports said he proposed that they have
- 11:33Speaker 4: a little boxing match.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Well, I was going to ask how long before someone
- 11:39Speaker 5: tries to tap Tim Morant? Patrick Mahomes Senior, who else
- 11:43Speaker 5: has got a super problematic You said?
- 11:46Speaker 4: Yeah, super problematic?
- 11:48Speaker 8: Dad?
- 11:48Speaker 4: Who else? LeVar Ball? Give him? Okay, yeah, he made
- 11:55Speaker 4: he faded, He's faded, faded once he got the youngest
- 11:58Speaker 4: one in the NBA. He went to the back. Right,
- 12:01Speaker 4: So we'll be back more than Sports Show right after this,
- 12:04Speaker 4: Yo and a Lord, we'd be good. General come in
- 12:07Speaker 4: from the fos do General. Let's take you from the
- 12:10Speaker 4: took the neck out.

- 15:07Speaker 13: No, no, no, no no, It's time to present the
- 15:10Speaker 13: Jock of the Day on the Sports Jock's taking it
- 15:13Speaker 13: to a completely different level this year where we highlight
- 15:16Speaker 13: an acolyte that has taken their game to the next level.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Believe can't you just see Serena Crippen.
- 15:58Speaker 5: I'm just I'm stuck on to get it, Serena Park.
- 16:01Speaker 5: I guess think about it, Get it, Serena. It could
- 16:07Speaker 5: be poker music. She she could be doing it to
- 16:10Speaker 5: the Gregorian chant and I'd be like, get it, Serena.
- 16:15Speaker 4: She'd be dancing to the Mississippi mass choir. Get it, Serena,
- 16:20Speaker 4: go jack it for Jesus. Serena, I see you, baby.
- 16:25Speaker 4: As we talked about, so many stories come out through
- 16:28Speaker 4: the Super Bowl Because as I was talking to my
- 16:32Speaker 4: own family. We have in the new twenty twenty five
- 16:37Speaker 4: and with technology and with companies the siding that at
- 16:44Speaker 4: least right now. And I'm fortunate to have lived long
- 16:48Speaker 4: enough to see how the baton got passed around through
- 16:53Speaker 4: our society. It used to belong when I was a kid.
- 16:56Speaker 4: It was more to religious leaders and politicians set the
- 17:03Speaker 4: tone of the voice. Then that got past the kind
- 17:07Speaker 4: of like Hollywood, and now it has gone to the
- 17:13Speaker 4: entertainment world of sports. Everything wants to be connected to sports.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Everybody wants to run whatever they're doing to the next
- 17:25Speaker 4: big sporting event. That's where we're going to say we
- 17:30Speaker 4: were dating, We're going to promote our movie. Yes, we're
- 17:34Speaker 4: going to drop our next album at the NBA All
- 17:37Speaker 4: Star pre shown any part of it, even you don't
- 17:41Speaker 4: even have to give me the main app time, just
- 17:44Speaker 4: let me introduce the players kind of thing, like you know,
- 17:48Speaker 4: I just wanted to just plug me lug me on
- 17:51Speaker 4: any of it. And that's where a lot of these
- 17:53Speaker 4: companies and then the Sony's and all those are even
- 17:56Speaker 4: pushing Apple Music the other day sponsoring Kendrick Lamar. Sure
- 18:00Speaker 4: the NFL is gonna let that happen. Why because now
- 18:03Speaker 4: it's free of charge, free, zero dollars. It used to
- 18:09Speaker 4: be I just I had to pay. You know, the
- 18:11Speaker 4: people that perform at Havetime wasn't getting necessarily paid, but
- 18:15Speaker 4: the NFL was on the hook for the costs, the
- 18:19Speaker 4: expensive of it. Now you get something like Apple and
- 18:23Speaker 4: I'm gonna go get me a nap while y'all do this.
- 18:25Speaker 4: I don't have no counters. The NFL still gets a cut. Yeah,
- 18:28Speaker 4: that's that's anything. And that's why the announcement of who's
- 18:34Speaker 4: going to do to Havetime is sooner. It's like after
- 18:39Speaker 4: the first touchdown is part of the season. Uh, and
- 18:43Speaker 4: you know we got Kendrick Lamar gonna be at the
- 18:44Speaker 4: super Bowl.
- 18:45Speaker 5: It's like, do you think they do You think they
- 18:48Speaker 5: do it like they do the Super Bowl and plan
- 18:51Speaker 5: in advance what city it's going to be in. They
- 18:53Speaker 5: already know the halftime performer. They're just holding the cars
- 18:57Speaker 5: close to their vest in an effort to make them
- 18:59Speaker 5: seem more current and what's going on right now.
- 19:04Speaker 4: But they already have a short list of I would
- 19:06Speaker 4: imagine have a short list today and they're gonna see
- 19:10Speaker 4: and because they're year unplugged in deeper than just on
- 19:15Speaker 4: the surface where we kind of find out third hand, right,
- 19:20Speaker 4: they are the next call after we have decided, Okay,
- 19:24Speaker 4: this is going to be this artist year, right, because
- 19:28Speaker 4: that's how I mean the music companies, that's how they operate.
- 19:31Speaker 4: So we're going to bring this around and here are
- 19:34Speaker 4: the three people, and we'll make a decision by September
- 19:38Speaker 4: and we'll plug it. This year it was Kendrick Lamar.
- 19:41Speaker 4: He had the song not Like Us and now since then,
- 19:45Speaker 4: and you know, coming out of this Super Bowl, even
- 19:48Speaker 4: the aspect of Serena Williams getting out on stage and
- 19:54Speaker 4: Kendrick Lamar performing, she did what they called the sea
- 19:57Speaker 4: walk crypt walk something. And I would give it the
- 20:02Speaker 4: credit that you're trying to blow air in it, because
- 20:04Speaker 4: you know, we all try to use things to sensationalize,
- 20:09Speaker 4: right right. If this was the first time we had
- 20:12Speaker 4: seen Serena do this, then you could tell me, oh,
- 20:16Speaker 4: she did that to try to drag Drake. But we've
- 20:23Speaker 4: seen her do this after her own matches, especially when
- 20:26Speaker 4: she was younger, and she would win with no music.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Oh at the Olympics, Yes, she would do it and
- 20:32Speaker 4: had nothing to do with Kendrick Lamar's or Drake. Now,
- 20:36Speaker 4: you're just trying to make it that way to promote
- 20:39Speaker 4: another storyline, to get another week full of news going.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Stephen A. Smith made a comment about he wouldn't have
- 20:49Speaker 4: his wife out there crypt walking. Some people did have
- 20:53Speaker 4: an issue of how Serena is supporting I had no
- 20:56Speaker 4: problem with Serena. This is the area that she was
- 21:02Speaker 4: raised in for part of her life because it's something
- 21:06Speaker 4: that she like. I just said, this is not something
- 21:09Speaker 4: new at forty five, right that she's done. She would
- 21:13Speaker 4: hit you with some of this twenty five years ago.
- 21:16Speaker 4: So I just felt like it was one of those
- 21:20Speaker 4: things that they pushed the button green lighted to try
- 21:24Speaker 4: to make a story come atch you and for me,
- 21:29Speaker 4: stephen A.
- 21:29Speaker 5: Smith sometimes is obviously trying to push buttons because there's
- 21:35Speaker 5: a whole and he's got to know this. There's a
- 21:37Speaker 5: whole faction of people that my wife better not be
- 21:41Speaker 5: on the Super Bowl halftime show and not cripwall.
- 21:45Speaker 4: You see what I'm saying. How you gonna be out
- 21:47Speaker 4: there and you ain't go hold it up further hood
- 21:51Speaker 4: me and all the homies. Some people that's how they feel,
- 21:55Speaker 4: and so that's not your wife.
- 21:56Speaker 5: Stephen A. Smith, you should have left it that that
- 21:59Speaker 5: wasn't your wife and let let it stand where it is.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Imagine, did you see her do it the performance?
- 22:07Speaker 6: I did.
- 22:09Speaker 4: What was your first take of it?
- 22:11Speaker 10: Uh?
- 22:12Speaker 6: I thought I was great that she was. She was
- 22:13Speaker 6: there and there and I you know, we know the
- 22:16Speaker 6: connection to to Compton and we've seen it, like you said,
- 22:21Speaker 6: we've seen it before. I think with stephen A. Smith
- 22:24Speaker 6: saying that you know he's going with the because Drake
- 22:28Speaker 6: and Serena dated like ten fifteen years ago, and that
- 22:34Speaker 6: she's still like concerned about trolling Drake even though in
- 22:40Speaker 6: a in a song Drake thissed her now husband. So
- 22:46Speaker 6: maybe it was you know, it might have been looked
- 22:49Speaker 6: at his petty. But I don't see the where stephen
- 22:54Speaker 6: A Smith came.
- 22:55Speaker 4: From, Derek.
- 22:56Speaker 6: There's a reason why she was out there aside from
- 23:00Speaker 6: just be from Compton and knowing Kendrick or whatever.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Well, I think Kendrick as KD Kevin Durant was When
- 23:07Speaker 4: they asked him about it, he said, you know, it
- 23:09Speaker 4: was the show was a kind of boring. The game
- 23:12Speaker 4: and the halftime show was kind of boring. He's a
- 23:16Speaker 4: commander's fan, which is yeah, but I'm saying so, I'm
- 23:21Speaker 4: a Jets fan, and I agree Kendrick Lamar had to
- 23:25Speaker 4: bring something. I think people were anticipating somebody to join
- 23:29Speaker 4: him a collabo. When you're not a performer, somebody's looking
- 23:34Speaker 4: for you to do your hit with someone else. And
- 23:36Speaker 4: he did that with Sizza, which I don't really know
- 23:40Speaker 4: her music or knew her face. I'm surprised he didn't.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Go with win When When When Win?
- 23:46Speaker 4: Because I told Serena showing up was a second or
- 23:51Speaker 4: two of AHA where everybody's surprised. You know that she
- 23:57Speaker 4: walked out there in period. We'll be back shouting, hoot
- 24:11Speaker 4: me down.
- 24:12Speaker 3: I'll hold you down with the town of Yah.
- 24:16Speaker 14: Take you downtown, be president bought Dorgs. You want me
- 24:18Speaker 14: Chow Chow got my making this down, Jo Don't.

- 26:33Speaker 4: And now back to the sports giant, Wayne Gandy.
- 26:40Speaker 6: In the red Cell.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Welcome back to this bus Shock show. I'm this busch Shock,
- 27:28Speaker 4: Wayne Candy. It is NBA All Star a weekend starting
- 27:34Speaker 4: tomorrow night is out in San Francisco. It really has
- 27:38Speaker 4: amounted to recording the three point contests. That's kind of
- 27:46Speaker 4: about as much I recorded and watch it at some
- 27:48Speaker 4: point before the next show. But other than that, I
- 27:56Speaker 4: really admit it's been a while. I think I dropped
- 28:01Speaker 4: off from the NBA All Star Game ten years ago
- 28:07Speaker 4: when men started, when they started all that gimmick, gimmick,
- 28:12Speaker 4: if you win this quarter, we donate money for this,
- 28:15Speaker 4: and they were trying all kinds of ways to make
- 28:18Speaker 4: the players play. I just started to confuse me completely
- 28:25Speaker 4: of why we're begging you. You want to be an
- 28:27Speaker 4: All Star, but you don't want to actually play in
- 28:30Speaker 4: the game, which is confusing. You denote that as being
- 28:34Speaker 4: something of privilege, yes, but then you don't want.
- 28:37Speaker 5: You want it, you want the accolade, but you don't
- 28:40Speaker 5: want to put in the effort. I I don't know
- 28:43Speaker 5: if this is more than ten years ago, but remember
- 28:46Speaker 5: when Blake Griffin jumped the Kia. Yes, and then they
- 28:50Speaker 5: had to do and they had the choir out there.
- 28:53Speaker 5: I didn't understand the connection to none of it, like
- 28:56Speaker 5: why it was the Holy Spirit to get him more? Okay,
- 29:01Speaker 5: thank you. It only took me eleven years so and
- 29:07Speaker 5: maybe in about another twelve I'll get the Kendrick Lamar thing.
- 29:11Speaker 4: But I didn't understand what the choir and him jumping
- 29:15Speaker 4: the why are you jumping a car? It's a dunk
- 29:17Speaker 4: content it was a Kia. It wasn't a car. It
- 29:22Speaker 4: was a car, but it was a Kia. Akia is
- 29:26Speaker 4: one of the official sponsors of the NBA.
- 29:31Speaker 5: They nobody jumped the twelve, So it was saying that
- 29:36Speaker 5: it was a commercial, and that's what I'm saying. Product
- 29:40Speaker 5: placement in the middle of a competition, to me, seems
- 29:43Speaker 5: a little bit disingenuous. We already know how it's gonna
- 29:46Speaker 5: turn out. The dude, he's got to make it over
- 29:49Speaker 5: the car. He's got to make it over the car.
- 29:51Speaker 5: I mean, none of this will work if he can't
- 29:54Speaker 5: jump the car.
- 29:54Speaker 6: So I know he's gonna make it. Like, just to
- 29:57Speaker 6: be safe, we're gonna have you jump over the hood.
- 30:00Speaker 6: You can make it over that, okay.
- 30:02Speaker 4: And we're gonna bring the wire forward. But I'm gonna
- 30:05Speaker 4: jump over the hood of a Kia. But I'm not
- 30:08Speaker 4: gonna give you any effort during the game because at
- 30:12Speaker 4: that time, Blake Griffith would have been a guy that
- 30:14Speaker 4: was also on an All Star team.
- 30:16Speaker 6: Yeah, he was on the All Star team.
- 30:17Speaker 4: The three or four he would have made would have
- 30:19Speaker 4: been in that period. But he could have jumped the Kia.
- 30:22Speaker 4: So why can't I jump in the Kia effort into
- 30:25Speaker 4: a rebound? The game. Can I get a rebound with
- 30:27Speaker 4: that effort?
- 30:28Speaker 6: If I say, well, the hood of the Kia wasn't
- 30:30Speaker 6: that high, It's the same as jumping over you know,
- 30:33Speaker 6: one of these chairs.
- 30:34Speaker 4: All cars are like three feet high and about eight
- 30:40Speaker 4: feet seven feet. Why in the United States is yes,
- 30:44Speaker 4: science they have to kind of do it like Okaye
- 30:50Speaker 4: over a chair like the smallest car. Now if he
- 30:53Speaker 4: had brought out like from the JA for the of
- 30:57Speaker 4: the circle is like, wait, now we getting off, We're
- 31:01Speaker 4: getting on focus. In my opinion, I want to know.
- 31:05Speaker 5: I know it's a wonderful I knocked the window out
- 31:08Speaker 5: of Chevy Chevett once long I was in a car
- 31:12Speaker 5: accident and survived that. I actually knocked the window out
- 31:17Speaker 5: from the outside of the car rolling onto the It's
- 31:20Speaker 5: a long story, but you Patrick Mahons, My point is,
- 31:25Speaker 5: what did any of that have to do with basketball
- 31:28Speaker 5: and All Star Now you think that All Star Game
- 31:31Speaker 5: is the best of the best.
- 31:32Speaker 4: We voted that man this dud cold and I played
- 31:35Speaker 4: the game and I didn't say it. He ought to go.
- 31:38Speaker 5: And then you get there and we don't do anything
- 31:40Speaker 5: that shows all of us are the elite athletes in
- 31:44Speaker 5: our league and I'm just you know, I'm over.
- 31:47Speaker 4: All of that. Did it make you want to drive
- 31:49Speaker 4: a Kia?
- 31:50Speaker 6: Well?
- 31:51Speaker 4: I drive one? Now, Okay, see it worked on so
- 31:56Speaker 4: Jerry's eating. Is that what happened? I subliminately failed you.
- 32:04Speaker 4: You didn't know and that is the moment. And I've
- 32:07Speaker 4: been eating rice and wings the night the night that
- 32:11Speaker 4: Blake Griffin jumped over.
- 32:15Speaker 5: One day, go ahead and this Griffin. You know what,
- 32:20Speaker 5: when I first got behind the wheel, I did go
- 32:21Speaker 5: Blake Griffin jump one of these.
- 32:24Speaker 4: So that's why you and that kill.
- 32:26Speaker 5: I guess it works, but I ain't gonna watch buy
- 32:31Speaker 5: the product, but I'm not gonna watch the game.
- 32:34Speaker 4: Well, I think the rules are going to kind of
- 32:37Speaker 4: go back more to traditional this year, right for there's
- 32:41Speaker 4: no there's no more.
- 32:43Speaker 6: Well, they're not doing the thirteen pointe shot. It's the
- 32:48Speaker 6: format is they're gonna split into three teams. They've already
- 32:51Speaker 6: picked the teams. Okay and hold wait three teams?
- 32:55Speaker 4: It is three teams. How do you do that?
- 32:56Speaker 6: Well, it's gonna be four teams. We saw this, We
- 33:00Speaker 6: saw this last year. We saw this last year with
- 33:06Speaker 6: the uh the Rising Stars Challenge, where they spread in
- 33:11Speaker 6: the teams and it was split into four teams and
- 33:15Speaker 6: they play to forty and then the two winning teams
- 33:19Speaker 6: played each other. They played a forty and then the
- 33:23Speaker 6: you know, the the winner wins and that's the Writing
- 33:25Speaker 6: Stars Challenge. So they brought that format to the All
- 33:28Speaker 6: Star Game. It's gonna be three teams and the fourth
- 33:31Speaker 6: team will be the winner of the Rising Stars Challenge,
- 33:34Speaker 6: the winning team and so they're going to they've already
- 33:38Speaker 6: drafted the teams and they're gonna play to forty and
- 33:42Speaker 6: then bor Tex Music.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Who came up with this.
- 33:47Speaker 5: I'm saying, now, can't we get the board Tex Music?
- 33:50Speaker 5: I've been drawn deep into some sort.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Of don HELLI NB ain't talking about that made sense
- 33:59Speaker 4: to the ball, and I'm saying, this is back to
- 34:02Speaker 4: the basics. Is this what you said? Going back to
- 34:05Speaker 4: the basics?
- 34:05Speaker 6: I think what people I think it's it's a reaction
- 34:08Speaker 6: to last year's game where one of the teams broke
- 34:12Speaker 6: two hundred points and was just put off by it.
- 34:16Speaker 6: I mean, it's kind of like how with the Pro Bowl,
- 34:19Speaker 6: where you know, no one tackled, and now we have
- 34:21Speaker 6: flag football that no one's playing any kind of defense.
- 34:26Speaker 6: So let's make it to where this isn't It doesn't
- 34:29Speaker 6: look like some ridiculous video games score so well.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Now I'm a fourteen to forty kind of format. Is
- 34:38Speaker 4: it half court?
- 34:40Speaker 10: No?
- 34:40Speaker 4: So it is still full court, but you're trying to
- 34:44Speaker 4: give the players a shorter period to have to play.
- 34:47Speaker 5: So what you're saying is a team that scored two
- 34:50Speaker 5: hundred points, you're gonna let them just go to forty.
- 34:54Speaker 5: These games are gonna be seven minutes apiece, forty points
- 34:59Speaker 5: for all stars.
- 35:00Speaker 4: It's a quarter in basketball.
- 35:02Speaker 6: Come on, yeah, I'm about your seeing one three games.
- 35:09Speaker 6: It's three games and one, and nobody's watching the one.
- 35:13Speaker 4: And think about it though, all of this is literally
- 35:18Speaker 4: a function that you have a game that the guys
- 35:23Speaker 4: that you select to play in the game resent having
- 35:29Speaker 4: to play in the game so much that you got
- 35:32Speaker 4: to come up with quirky, ridiculous patterns and plans to
- 35:39Speaker 4: get them to play so the fans will watch, when
- 35:45Speaker 4: all the fans wanted was to actually see the twelve
- 35:49Speaker 4: best players versus the twelve versus players in a game.
- 35:56Speaker 4: I don't understand cool. For about thirty thousand years before
- 36:03Speaker 4: they started changing it, I don't understand because some of
- 36:05Speaker 4: those teams played last night. Some team's gonna play tonight.
- 36:11Speaker 4: Why can't we just play a game and that little
- 36:14Speaker 4: two percent you can make rude? No diving for the ball, yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 4: and one of two things that can call accidents? Can
- 36:25Speaker 4: we will put in place like that might be on
- 36:28Speaker 4: you though, I mean if you will willing. I'm just
- 36:32Speaker 4: saying like we can limit then you know, why can't
- 36:35Speaker 4: we pay just watch a game. Most NBA games you watch,
- 36:40Speaker 4: nobody gets hurt and they play, play and they play.
- 36:46Speaker 4: So I and think about it. We're coming up with
- 36:49Speaker 4: these NASA Yeah, because I didn't even know you dragged
- 36:53Speaker 4: the rising stars in from Friday hoigh. Four teams play
- 36:57Speaker 4: one game? Now did?
- 37:00Speaker 5: I'm insulted. I can't get you to play the one
- 37:02Speaker 5: game on your schedule. Now you're gonna play two and
- 37:05Speaker 5: one day? Man, stop ya give me my money back.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Y'all gonna have Patrick Mahomes singing and join rock and Fighting,
- 37:13Speaker 4: and we paint that a halftimes. That's gonna be the halftime.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Do we know who joined the halftime show for the
- 37:17Speaker 4: NBA All Star Well, I guess it's not really halftime.
- 37:22Speaker 6: Oh, they don't have halftime anymore I mean no, I
- 37:25Speaker 6: mean with this format, there's well there's no but.
- 37:28Speaker 4: They usually have some musical Who's doing the introduction? Do
- 37:30Speaker 4: they have any of that?
- 37:32Speaker 1: Uh?
- 37:32Speaker 6: The only one only person that's performing is Leangelo Ball
- 37:38Speaker 6: is performing.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Excuse me Leangelo and CV sitting on the float. Who
- 37:48Speaker 4: with his throwback anthem? Okay, so no E forty no
- 37:52Speaker 4: two short. They're in the Bay Area right right, So
- 37:55Speaker 4: none of that. It's gonna go on, Okay, just Jello God. Yeah.
- 38:01Speaker 6: Even more recently, who else it is performing? It looks
- 38:05Speaker 6: like forty and two shot are performing at some point.
- 38:08Speaker 6: I'm gonna catch your phone. What you count you when
- 38:10Speaker 6: I be in the block? Catch up one season two

- 40:42Speaker 4: And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Logdon say you can see a sports chain, I'll sing even.
- 41:13Speaker 4: What back to this boy Shocks show, I'm the sports
- 41:15Speaker 4: shock wing can tuh sad story coming out, just a
- 41:22Speaker 4: young life giving up. And in these cases, I always
- 41:26Speaker 4: let people understand that there's the person who dies, and
- 41:32Speaker 4: then there's the person who does the killing. That person
- 41:38Speaker 4: now in a sense, dies too. They are removed from society.
- 41:46Speaker 4: So it's not just one person, it's two people. There's
- 41:49Speaker 4: one that will be buried and there's one that will
- 41:53Speaker 4: be mainly forgotten. That's what things like life in prison
- 41:59Speaker 4: brings about, where you're removed almost in this death way,
- 42:04Speaker 4: the importance of you just disappears. And I say that
- 42:08Speaker 4: former Yukon in South Carolina basketball player twenty eight year
- 42:12Speaker 4: old Eric Cobb has been arrested on charge of murdering
- 42:17Speaker 4: his mother. This is down the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office down
- 42:23Speaker 4: in Florida, Erica Winford. The fifty one year old was
- 42:29Speaker 4: found wrapped inside blankets and towels in her backyard of
- 42:34Speaker 4: their home with multiple gunshot wounds to her head, stomach,
- 42:38Speaker 4: and leg. Police found the twenty eight year old her
- 42:44Speaker 4: son inside the home by himself. When they arrived. They
- 42:50Speaker 4: brought him in for questioning. One of the most interesting
- 42:54Speaker 4: aspects as you read the story that kind of didn't
- 42:59Speaker 4: set know me were There was two witnesses that heard
- 43:03Speaker 4: a lot of screaming, even heard the gunshots, but neither
- 43:12Speaker 4: called nine one one in this instance. So you hear
- 43:19Speaker 4: someone yelling he's gonna kill me, you hear gunshots, but
- 43:24Speaker 4: you know, we're so detached from each other or so
- 43:27Speaker 4: afraid to be involved that the two witnesses that eventually
- 43:32Speaker 4: came forward once the law enforcement got there, they were
- 43:39Speaker 4: not the people who called nine one one. But it
- 43:44Speaker 4: seems that this young man has found a different path,
- 43:48Speaker 4: not sure where the stems. Like I tell there's a
- 43:53Speaker 4: lot of athletes that once the ability to play their sport,
- 44:01Speaker 4: it's no longer there. There is an adjustment period, and
- 44:06Speaker 4: I've seen guys, you know, not necessarily go violent as
- 44:10Speaker 4: much as they get distant, like where you. I'd taken
- 44:17Speaker 4: a guy home. He was so distant and mentally broken
- 44:23Speaker 4: that his career was over, that his mom hadn't seen
- 44:29Speaker 4: him years. He just wouldn't go home. His embarrassment of
- 44:34Speaker 4: not being able to fulfill the dream drove him to
- 44:38Speaker 4: not even want to be and nego see his mother.
- 44:42Speaker 4: So there is that period for some players. In this case,
- 44:47Speaker 4: More things I'm quite sure will come out, but people
- 44:51Speaker 4: are saying he was, excuse me, possessed, she was scared
- 44:57Speaker 4: of him, schizophrenic. I'm not sure if he had any
- 45:01Speaker 4: kind of illnesses before, but young man only twenty eight.
- 45:07Speaker 4: He started his career at South Carolina and then he
- 45:10Speaker 4: moved on to Yukon I think yes, and played two
- 45:16Speaker 4: years there. So his name is Eric Cobb, eight years.
- 45:21Speaker 5: Old and at twenty eight, I would imagine if he
- 45:27Speaker 5: didn't play any post college basketball. Conventional wisdom would make
- 45:34Speaker 5: a person think he's had some time to try and
- 45:37Speaker 5: adjust to that life.
- 45:39Speaker 4: But knowing myself, the rush of the drug of adulation
- 45:53Speaker 4: and the rush of the crowd screaming for you, and
- 45:56Speaker 4: that life in the spotlight, it's a drug in its self.
- 46:00Speaker 5: You ain't never got to ingest anything. Once you get
- 46:04Speaker 5: a taste of that, you're gonna want some more. And
- 46:06Speaker 5: when you can't have it, some people can manage that,
- 46:09Speaker 5: and then I'm not excusing what he's done, but there
- 46:12Speaker 5: are a lot of people that need that fix and
- 46:15Speaker 5: they can't get it, and it just gets more and
- 46:18Speaker 5: more desperate in what they're willing to do to feel
- 46:21Speaker 5: well again.
- 46:23Speaker 4: So and the partners, I'm saying the part of the people,
- 46:26Speaker 4: the witnesses. She was found by a friend who had
- 46:31Speaker 4: been looking for Was it not like the witnesses came
- 46:35Speaker 4: forward even that death or that day, right right? They
- 46:38Speaker 4: only came forward after the police got there. They said,
- 46:42Speaker 4: oh yeah, we heard somebody. And that's the part of it,
- 46:45Speaker 4: was like, man, wow, this so you're saying, I'm in
- 46:47Speaker 4: my house, I'm yelling, and you hear I hear this,
- 46:51Speaker 4: And as neighbors, you wouldn't even I just heard some
- 46:54Speaker 4: gunshots and somebody screaming.
- 46:56Speaker 5: And I hope I don't offend any of my family
- 47:00Speaker 5: members by sharing this, But I recently lost a cousin
- 47:04Speaker 5: kind of man retired from the Navy, watched the entire neighborhood.
- 47:09Speaker 5: Was out sitting on his porch one evening in his
- 47:12Speaker 5: robe and pajama, was just cooling out and from what
- 47:17Speaker 5: I understand, had a stroke. When they did the autopsy,
- 47:20Speaker 5: he died of hypothermia because it got freezing cold that night.
- 47:24Speaker 5: He sat out on his porch the entire night, and
- 47:26Speaker 5: no one thought, Hey, that's kind of odd. He's just
- 47:30Speaker 5: sitting out there in the robe and pajamas and you
- 47:32Speaker 5: know it's freezing cold.
- 47:35Speaker 4: Nobody thought to go and check on someone who checks
- 47:39Speaker 4: on everybody, And for me that.
- 47:43Speaker 5: That part didn't make sense. And for someone I was
- 47:46Speaker 5: thinking that. The police showed up later that evening, but
- 47:51Speaker 5: they got to the point where someone actually had to
- 47:53Speaker 5: start looking for her. Yes, so you're comfortable with shooting
- 47:58Speaker 5: and screaming going on with an earshot of you, and
- 48:01Speaker 5: you don't want it out of your neighborhood. You see
- 48:04Speaker 5: what I'm saying. For me, I'd at least want to
- 48:06Speaker 5: know whatever that is got to get away from here.
- 48:09Speaker 5: I'm not gonna go to sleep knowing that possibly somebody's
- 48:13Speaker 5: still out there carrying on that way. So a lot
- 48:16Speaker 5: of that is, but we hear so many hard stories
- 48:19Speaker 5: of people trying to get involved and it going the
- 48:21Speaker 5: wrong way.
- 48:22Speaker 4: So well, I don't need you to run over and
- 48:24Speaker 4: kick and kicking the door to save nobody. Yeah, but
- 48:26Speaker 4: you could hit the nine one one. You hear someone
- 48:28Speaker 4: in my house yelling and then you hear some gunshots,
- 48:32Speaker 4: you could call you called not one one. Come check
- 48:36Speaker 4: it out. We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show
- 48:38Speaker 4: right after this.

- 51:24Speaker 4: back to this one shop show. I'm this war shock
- 51:26Speaker 4: wing candy. Come on you, Greg. We were talking about
- 51:30Speaker 4: the young man accused of murdering his mother, Eric Cobb,
- 51:34Speaker 4: down in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended South Carolina and Yukon
- 51:41Speaker 4: for basketball. He's only twenty eight. And you said while
- 51:45Speaker 4: he was at South Carolina there is a report of
- 51:48Speaker 4: him having an incident with a gun.
- 51:51Speaker 6: Yes, this was in twenty sixteen. He was charged with
- 52:00Speaker 6: let's see what the charge was, assault for firing at
- 52:03Speaker 6: an occupied car. Him and another player were dismissed from
- 52:09Speaker 6: the team. There weren't many detail more details about that,
- 52:15Speaker 6: but so it sounds like he would have been maybe
- 52:17Speaker 6: a freshman. Yes, he was a freshman at that time. Okay,
- 52:21Speaker 6: I wonder if it was one of those with a gun.
- 52:24Speaker 4: Uh? Were they playing around like one of those Jameis
- 52:27Speaker 4: Winston things. Remember he had a paintball BB gun shooting
- 52:32Speaker 4: it was a BB gun? Okay, Okay, yeah, because remember
- 52:36Speaker 4: Jameis Winston, they had a BB gun or paint gun. Yeah,
- 52:39Speaker 4: and he shot a windows out of a several cars.
- 52:44Speaker 4: I think they said, uh, an apartment window or something
- 52:47Speaker 4: like that. Yeah, But and I think they didn't understand.
- 52:51Speaker 2: That the.
- 52:55Speaker 4: The fact that it was the rush of a gun
- 52:58Speaker 4: hitting your car period can cause you to swerve and
- 53:01Speaker 4: hit somebody. I think that's sometimes with anyone, especially kids,
- 53:08Speaker 4: when you give them those things. Don't understand the distraction
- 53:12Speaker 4: that's going to calls to the driver, right, forget the
- 53:16Speaker 4: part where you're sitting there like, oh, no, it's not
- 53:18Speaker 4: going to penetrate No, it's not going to penetrate the car,
- 53:23Speaker 4: but it's going to hit the car in a sense
- 53:25Speaker 4: that the driver of the car is going to think, yes, yes,
- 53:31Speaker 4: he's going to react like it's a bullet. There was like,
- 53:34Speaker 4: oh right, I knew that, it's just like a rock
- 53:37Speaker 4: shooting off the highway.
- 53:38Speaker 5: I was going to say, there was an incident here
- 53:40Speaker 5: in Atlanta where some children were throwing rocks over and
- 53:44Speaker 5: overpass and hitting a window, and they wanted to charge
- 53:47Speaker 5: them with aggravated assault attempted murder, and people were trying
- 53:51Speaker 5: to say that they didn't reach that level of malicious
- 53:55Speaker 5: intent and by the letter of the law.
- 53:57Speaker 4: Yes, it does, because I thought my car was being shot.
- 54:01Speaker 4: And I think in Ohio they actually did charge them
- 54:06Speaker 4: with I think it was a group of teens they
- 54:09Speaker 4: did that same theme. They were dropping rocks, rocks off
- 54:14Speaker 4: of a bridge down onto cars and it costs a
- 54:17Speaker 4: fatal accident. Since we've been on the air, and they
- 54:22Speaker 4: charged them with murder some type of murder, manslaughter or
- 54:27Speaker 4: something like that where they were facing several years in prison.
- 54:31Speaker 4: We have to look that up. But it's more of
- 54:35Speaker 4: the person in the car. Yes, and it sounds like giggles.
- 54:38Speaker 4: And I remember us talking about this with our first
- 54:40Speaker 4: year or two because that's when Jameis Winston would have
- 54:42Speaker 4: been at Florida State. He kind of was brushing it
- 54:48Speaker 4: off and not really understanding if somebody's driving by and
- 54:52Speaker 4: that windshield is hit with a paint it could be
- 54:55Speaker 4: a paint gun. Yeah, they're going to react. Now if
- 54:58Speaker 4: somebody's around, they're gonna I don't care who they are,
- 55:03Speaker 4: unless say some kind of military veteran, any of us
- 55:07Speaker 4: if something in our car or a second, if he
- 55:10Speaker 4: a military veteran, he immediately takes evasive action because that's
- 55:14Speaker 4: what you're taught to do when that kind of stuff
- 55:17Speaker 4: starts happening, and birds fly into windows while I'm sitting
- 55:22Speaker 4: in the kitchen and duck.
- 55:23Speaker 5: And you know, and we've seen people who mistakenly identify
- 55:30Speaker 5: toys for real firearms and it end up not good
- 55:34Speaker 5: for the person playing the park.
- 55:36Speaker 4: And so, but at least not saying that's what nine
- 55:41Speaker 4: years later took him to murdering his mother. No, no, no,
- 55:44Speaker 4: that I'm quite sure he toxicology is gonna figure some drugs.
- 55:47Speaker 4: Something has been going. Even when you look at a
- 55:50Speaker 4: picture of him in college and you look at the
- 55:52Speaker 4: most recent pictures mug shot, like it's a a different
- 55:56Speaker 4: version of him, Like life has been dealing him some
- 56:00Speaker 4: different blows as it has gone by. What else do
- 56:04Speaker 4: we have? Kadarius Tony, speaking of incidents around here, the receiver,
- 56:09Speaker 4: formerly of the Chiefs. Last year he was with the Browns,
- 56:12Speaker 4: only been in the league four years over in Douglas
- 56:15Speaker 4: County here in Georgia, about twenty twenty five miles away
- 56:21Speaker 4: from where we're sitting. He was arrested for a incident
- 56:25Speaker 4: a couple of weeks ago of strangulation. Young lady said
- 56:30Speaker 4: that Kadarius Tony strangled her so she passed out and
- 56:36Speaker 4: once again bit Kenny and commands you. I come to
- 56:39Speaker 4: you with the idea from the point of the bail
- 56:46Speaker 4: was only twenty five grand. I don't understand bail like
- 56:53Speaker 4: twenty five grand sounds more of something like destruction of property. Yeah, yeah,
- 57:01Speaker 4: it doesn't sound like human on human. It choked you
- 57:04Speaker 4: till you passed out crime, right right, Human on human crime.
- 57:09Speaker 4: Physical sounds like one hundred grand. Twenty five grand sounds
- 57:14Speaker 4: like somebody got mad at you, got a sledgehammer and
- 57:20Speaker 4: well now and knocked your door, you know which which
- 57:25Speaker 4: destroyed property, property or you know, those kind of crime
- 57:29Speaker 4: were of none human crime, which.
- 57:32Speaker 5: To me leads me to believe that when these are
- 57:36Speaker 5: the allegations, what they were able to prove on the
- 57:40Speaker 5: spot was a disagreement, maybe a little domestic disturbance. But
- 57:46Speaker 5: we can't prove no. All of that's gonna get worked
- 57:50Speaker 5: out in court. But we was able to prove as
- 57:52Speaker 5: y'all had a you know, unless we saw bruises on
- 57:55Speaker 5: the neck, unless we saw ligature marks, we can't support
- 58:00Speaker 5: what you're saying that this man choked me till I
- 58:03Speaker 5: passed out. Now you're calling me telling me that you're
- 58:06Speaker 5: in danger, gets you arrested.
- 58:08Speaker 4: Well, it's said in the story that she had a
- 58:10Speaker 4: single marks, saying there it is.
- 58:13Speaker 5: I don't understand that if she had visible marks then
- 58:16Speaker 5: that to me in the shoulder area. Yeah, I just
- 58:21Speaker 5: it seems a little bit questionable that they bail is
- 58:24Speaker 5: what really threw me twenty five thousand. Yeah, that didn't
- 58:29Speaker 5: sound That just sounded like a non physical bail because
- 58:36Speaker 5: your people get d U I S and bail is
- 58:38Speaker 5: like ten grand right just forruk ain't nobody. And it's
- 58:43Speaker 5: interesting that you're reporting that they had those identifying marks
- 58:48Speaker 5: in every story that I'm looking at, says allegedly strangling
- 58:52Speaker 5: the one.
- 58:54Speaker 4: Well see how just he did turn itself.
- 58:57Speaker 5: In and all we've all done that, We've all turned
- 59:00Speaker 5: our self feing on my right, running for the people.
- 59:04Speaker 4: You got you, I mean you, you got a little
- 59:06Speaker 4: bread to take it to court. Ain't no sense and
- 59:08Speaker 4: running get you swarm, rubbing my grain, poking the ball
- 59:13Speaker 4: and people screamed.
- 59:14Speaker 10: The walk at.
- 59:17Speaker 4: I've heard Eliza whole form in a thunder storm.
- 59:21Speaker 3: Don't go away.
- 59:22Speaker 8: Word of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dan videos
- 59:25Speaker 8: coming up next and now let's talk about something exciting,
- 59:29Speaker 8: life insurance.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 59:33Speaker 2: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 59:37Speaker 2: have life insurance.
- 59:38Speaker 23: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 59:40Speaker 23: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 59:42Speaker 3: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 59:44Speaker 4: What about you?
- 59:45Speaker 3: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 59:47Speaker 23: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 59:49Speaker 23: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 59:51Speaker 23: survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 59:53Speaker 23: the insurance informant.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 59:58Speaker 2: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:00:00Speaker 23: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:00:03Speaker 23: leave my family that builds their benefits.

- 1:01:45Speaker 4: You may, Vegan, Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: I'm in the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: you out there and listening land. As we shake off
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: the Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Egos will have their parade.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Here is it today or tomorrow? When are they going
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: with the cheese steaks? I read it was on a Friday, Okay, tomorrow,
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: So they're gonna do it on Valentine's Day, which for
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: a Philadelphia Eagle fan makes for a complete date. Pretty much.
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: Cheese steak a parade.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: We going on home?
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: That's gonna be classified as a date tomorrow. You got
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: a choice, sALS or what's the other one up there, Gino?
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: Come man, matter of facts us as Valentine's Day, we'll
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: get half.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: We get the prize from sALS and the cheese steaks
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: from Gino's. But should be a good parade. A team
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: that's celebrating their second championship. Remember just what a handful
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: of years ago Nick Foles and the Eagles won the
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: Super Bowl, and now they are champions again. Saquon Barkley
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: and the old line was on Jimmy fallon chugging beers.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: I didn't know Saquan even. He must have had a
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: non alcoholic, fat free something like, you know, you know,
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: he just he's there from morale. He just old dudes.
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: Yeah yeah what now alcoholic beer? They got him?
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: Everybody's got one now, Yeah, yeah, yesterday. O'duels was the
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: pioneer because back then it wasn't cool. Nobody believed in that,
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. They thought it was just
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: a gimmick that wouldn't last. But now they're everywhere. Have
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: you ever had a beer without alcohol? This past Wednesday,
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: took my child out for a twentieth birthday my mom, granddaughter,
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: Kennedy's best friend. And I'm driving, so I don't want
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: to be drinking and driving. You know, I got precious cargo.
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: So yeah, I ordered a sam Adams uh, non alcoholic. H.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: So you like to taste of beer?
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: Yes, okay, so okay, And it tasted kind of like
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: a blue moon without alcohol, so you wouldn't understand speak
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: speaking yeah right now.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: But now that Boger sugar, you got a point of
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: reference for that, you know what I'm saying? If we
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: all do. No, they sell all my drugs on all
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: six over at Walgreens. Real. Oh, I was about to say,
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: who you know our six No. I can't even take
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: advial too much, only on special pain occasions the doctor
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: allows me to take. I can't take apropofen, but when
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: it's like when I have a bad arthri diic flair. Right,
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: but because it was make you loopy or something like kidneys.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: Oh okay, yeah, so it's better not to not to. Okay,
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: So whenever I'm more of a toller old guy.
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, you know, Yeah, I'm I'm just a muscle
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: relaxing because it's Thursday, you know what.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: Washing down with a non alcoholic beer.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: You feel me yourself, I'm mature because at least I'm
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: going with a non alcoholic beer.
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: Used to be two shots of whiskey, little muscle relaxing
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: on Jimmy fallon the old line and rightfully so he
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: knows whatever that bread and buttered, big old line getting
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: all their yards. Remember when that.
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: Used to be considered like influencing youth, for athletes to
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: be drinking beer and things like that. Now those sensibilities
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: have changed to haven't. Yeah, the battery is every Yeah
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: you know we gambling on the field now, yeah.
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: I mean you may see it, but I don't know
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: if they do commercials.
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: Well, I'm not talking I'm talking about There used to
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: be a time with the Professional Athletes Code of Conduct
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: prevented and restricted them. You wouldn't see them on doing
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: anything even promoting a party atmosphere and taking a drink
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: or something, smoking a cigar because that was considered negatively
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: influencing the youth.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: Who Eli promoting him and Snoop, what was that beer? Corona?
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: And they all do it.
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: Now I'm saying it's yeah, you see Carmelo with corona
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: and no he doesquila.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: Yeah, ed Reed and a couple of the Hall of
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: famers they do like a dark liquor. They go to
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: the bar and get like a remy or something. Yeah,
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: that's what I'm saying. It was all out there, yea.
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: And I guess they just wanted to see, you know,
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: because say Quon drinking a beer. I guess that's him
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: kind of like me letting our hair down. I guess
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: if that's what you call it. If that's what you
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: call it, you know, drinking a beer, you call it
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: letting your hair down. You having one beer around me,
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: it's called you're the designated driver. You see what dude,
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: they had but four drinks. I think he gets the
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: keys tonight. The teens to Fight trumps keep men out
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: of women's sports order. Teens to fight trumps keep men
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: out of women's sports order. He's just say that a
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: couple of times. And now these are teenagers or.
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: Teens, teenagers to fight Trumps who have banded together to
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: fight Trumps.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: Keep men out of women's sports. So we want men
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: in women's sports as teenagers.
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: We've made that decision completely independently on our own that
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: we're going to aband together and go, like, you know what,
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: boys out of race girls?
- 1:07:56Speaker 15: Is that what.
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: I mean. I'm not trying to be dismiss him. I'm saying,
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: is that what we I'm saying with the whole headline
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: read to the point where you're like, not sure you're
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: reading it right. So you're going to band together? The
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: key so so men can play.
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: You can't play against girls in sports sports, because do
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: you think that's not sports, that's co ed?
- 1:08:24Speaker 6: That's this is this is the they're gonna say transgender.
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: It's about allowing transgender athletes.
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: But that ain't what you say it.
- 1:08:36Speaker 6: No, no, no, I know they said no, but it is.
- 1:08:42Speaker 5: Listen, listen, why didn't they say in the first I'm saying,
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: I know somebody did.
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: Thirteen months just on them, A couple of words changed around.
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: We're not gonna mix the words. Now you said men.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: Transgendered athletes each don't consider themselves men. They consider themselves
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: athletes transitioning from men to women.
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: And all of this is coming out of New Hampshire
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: to students challenge. Two students are going to challenge New
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: Hampshire's band on transgender athletes on girls sports teams. And
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: we know that President Trump one of the first things
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: in office was he declared that he was going back
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: to what he felt was the best plan, the traditional
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: plan of that if you were biologically a male on
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: in birth, that you had to play male sports. You
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: could not play female sports.
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: Even even if you see yourself as a female and
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: are transitioning, you still will compete with the boys as
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: a genetically biologically born male.
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: Am I correct in that? Correct?
- 1:10:05Speaker 5: So he's not saying you can't dress or identify how
- 1:10:09Speaker 5: you want to, You just can't get out there. Like
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: the two young men from Connecticut that won first and
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: second place in the state finals when they in the
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: track meeting, right when they said that they were females
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: now and they went over to and I think one
- 1:10:26Speaker 5: of them on the men's side was like number seventy
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: eight in the state or something like that, and the
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: other one was even lower than that, and then they
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: went into the girl's competition and came in one in two,
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: and so I think that's a lot of what has spurned.
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: If people feel like this is an overcorrection, this is
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: what is because I saw it here in Georgia they
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: passed the law. And one of the proponents for transgenders
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: competing against girls says, we're letting one or two incidents
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: shape the entire competition field. But the one incident at
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: Georgia Tech was a national championship, the one incident in
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: Connecticut was a state championship. So these are at the
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: highest levels of the competition that these women are getting
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: eliminated by genetically born men.
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: And I even went yesterday and I was as I
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: was writing down some notes, I was just googling different stuff,
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: like what's a good bench press for a woman, what's
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: a good biting press for a man? And you find
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: that you're considered a very elite strong woman if you
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: can bench one hundred and thirty five pounds.
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: Wow, when you're considered a everybody's gonna jump on this.
- 1:11:52Speaker 6: Dude.
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: If that's all you can binch as a man, you're
- 1:11:55Speaker 5: the mark. You're everybody's I'm gonna make my name on him.
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: If you can only bench thirty five is a man,
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: you're considered a weak man, a very weak man. Got
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: a lot of training to do. A victim, we got
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: a lot of training to do if we If that's
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: all you can binge as a man, we got some training.
- 1:12:14Speaker 5: But a woman, if she gets under one hundred and
- 1:12:16Speaker 5: thirty five pounds, she know what she's doing.
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: Yeah, we can't let her out there with them girls,
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: so she'd be hurt. Winding girl. So it's just that
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: big of a difference as you try to act like
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: it's not. It's just just some things are just genetically
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: what they are without us having to do anything our nature.
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: Because I go as far as men have a more
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: ready competitive nature. Now, once you turn a woman onto something,
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: she's just as competitive right at it, or more right sometimes,
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: But her natural is not to already be in competitive mode. Right,
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: men walk in the building ready, they think it's about
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: to be some kind of competition.
- 1:13:10Speaker 17: Right.
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: If we're the same number of steps from the door,
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: I increase my pace to make sure I get to
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: the door first. I don't know why it ain't nothing
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: happening on the other side. Of this door.
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: But it's just in men's nature to somehow insert competition there.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: Yeah. We we're always on the verge of betting right something.
- 1:13:33Speaker 4: It can be the silliest thing, but we're always on
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: the verge of making a bet on something. I bet you,
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: I won't bet to bet you will. We'll show right
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: after this.
- 1:13:44Speaker 22: Brother wants no what I have because the massive broke
- 1:13:51Speaker 22: stop set up took the money. Then I tipped with
- 1:13:54Speaker 22: the playing with well.
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: So I got down with the.

- 1:20:54Speaker 5: win she plays on us. She's on VML. I know
- 1:20:59Speaker 5: she plays a detective on there. I think she used
- 1:21:01Speaker 5: to play on like, uh, Hawaii five oh or one
- 1:21:04Speaker 5: of those one of the Okay, now I don't I
- 1:21:07Speaker 5: rarely The Scorpion King, The Scorpion King. I rarely watched sheffs. Yeah,
- 1:21:12Speaker 5: I rarely watch shows like Being I know it's going
- 1:21:15Speaker 5: to turn out already know the ending. It's a little
- 1:21:19Speaker 5: too much like type casting. I just I watched something,
- 1:21:23Speaker 5: some fantasy new Meg no Stallion. Now, this is my
- 1:21:27Speaker 5: thing about clocking in. I don't want to clock in
- 1:21:29Speaker 5: on nobody the same age as my kids. So I
- 1:21:33Speaker 5: got a son that's thirty one and Meg just made thirty.
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: You know I'm old enough to be a daddy. I'm
- 1:21:40Speaker 5: a given five years. So you're not a Belichick kind
- 1:21:43Speaker 5: of guy. No, I've never been a Belichick kind of guy,
- 1:21:47Speaker 5: even when, even though it's acceptable, I was one of
- 1:21:52Speaker 5: them dudes, like in college. She had to be twenty one.
- 1:21:56Speaker 5: You know, she couldn't be fresh out of high school.
- 1:21:58Speaker 5: I've never been a datum young. I'm a big game hunter.
- 1:22:01Speaker 5: You know I'm not gonna go with.
- 1:22:03Speaker 4: My Megan nostallions big game. Yeah, she thirty though that
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: mentally she ain't ready for this. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: I would take Meg's car and she'd really be expecting
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: gas to be in it when I come back.
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: You see what I'm saying. She still thinks stuff is
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: gonna work out. Uh, Sean Combes did he issuing NBC?
- 1:22:23Speaker 5: Yes, that correct, NBC Universal, not just the network, the
- 1:22:27Speaker 5: whole company and Universal and Peacock When he's.
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: Doing this from the basis that the documentary they put
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: out on him. Yes, some of the claims in it,
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: he's saying, is false.
- 1:22:39Speaker 5: Unproven allegations, false allegations, flat out made up stuff that
- 1:22:46Speaker 5: they released like it is actual fact, asserting that he
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: had something to do with the death of his as
- 1:22:54Speaker 5: he says, the mother of his children and the love
- 1:22:56Speaker 5: of his life. That he's involved in child sex trafficking,
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: and none of this has been proven, but the documentary
- 1:23:05Speaker 5: has been racking up streams, and now he wants one
- 1:23:07Speaker 5: hundred million dollars minimum from the NBC Universal Family kim Porter, Yes,
- 1:23:14Speaker 5: the young lady that you were referring to died of
- 1:23:16Speaker 5: an overdose.
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: They said that it has been proven by the coroner's
- 1:23:23Speaker 5: report that she died from natural causes. That's what the
- 1:23:27Speaker 5: coroner's report says. And so he says that all of
- 1:23:30Speaker 5: how to marry, So how did he cause a natural.
- 1:23:34Speaker 6: That's his point.
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: You and you didn't.
- 1:23:37Speaker 5: Not only are you and you're not using words like
- 1:23:40Speaker 5: allegedly being reported, you're saying that he did, he was
- 1:23:46Speaker 5: those kinds of things. And we'll see, because we know
- 1:23:49Speaker 5: that this isn't new. A lot of people allegations, and
- 1:23:53Speaker 5: we talked about these documentaries before. Mike Tyson he had
- 1:23:57Speaker 5: an issue with Hulu is making a show about him
- 1:24:02Speaker 5: and that Laker Yeah series where Magic and Kareem. A
- 1:24:07Speaker 5: lot of Lakers were not on board with HBO's version
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: of show Time Showtime Yeah for them.
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: So we'll be back with more The Sports Jock Show
- 1:24:17Speaker 4: right after this.
- 1:24:18Speaker 14: On that piece up the pots, you not asked me
- 1:24:20Speaker 14: how high I tell your reach for the scot cling,
- 1:24:22Speaker 14: the crooked letter rock, b's my home, twenty threes rapped
- 1:24:25Speaker 14: than Cram not only snapped on your lap, you don't
- 1:24:29Speaker 14: make you leave that crack the loan, you got the
- 1:24:31Speaker 14: key to the city.
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: But the last.
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: Joe Boy Wayne.
- 1:24:35Speaker 8: Board of The Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dandrius coming
- 1:24:38Speaker 8: up next.
- 1:24:39Speaker 24: Loved one owns a gun. And for a while now
- 1:24:43Speaker 24: you've been concerned about their behavior. They're just not acting
- 1:24:46Speaker 24: like themselves. They've been distant, they've been unpredictable, they've been
- 1:24:51Speaker 24: lashing out. They've been saying things that make you worried
- 1:24:54Speaker 24: they might harm themselves or friends or family. Or you're
- 1:24:57Speaker 24: worried this loved one might hurt you. Maybe they recently
- 1:25:01Speaker 24: threatened someone with their gun. You know something needs to
- 1:25:04Speaker 24: be done, and you wish more than anything you could
- 1:25:07Speaker 24: hit pause on this situation. Well, here in Illinois you
- 1:25:10Speaker 24: can with a firearm restraining order. In extreme cases, this
- 1:25:15Speaker 24: order temporarily prevents a person in crisis from having a firearm,
- 1:25:19Speaker 24: giving them time to heal before they do something dangerous
- 1:25:22Speaker 24: or even deadly. If you are worried about a loved
- 1:25:25Speaker 24: one in crisis who has access to a firearm, learn
- 1:25:28Speaker 24: more about firearm restraining orders at Illinois dot gov. Slash
- 1:25:33Speaker 24: pause to Heal. A public service announcement brought to you
- 1:25:36Speaker 24: by the Illinois Department of Public Health BRADY and the
- 1:25:38Speaker 24: ad Council URN.
- 1:25:40Speaker 7: In the game, we tough it out, feel exhausted, we
- 1:25:44Speaker 7: push on feeling down. We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.
- 1:25:49Speaker 7: But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress
- 1:25:53Speaker 7: gets to us and we need to talk to someone
- 1:25:55Speaker 7: about what we're really going through. So we're going to
- 1:25:58Speaker 7: reach out because sometimes mental health is not a one
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: person job.
- 1:26:02Speaker 6: Is it Love your Mind Today dot org. That's Love
- 1:26:05Speaker 6: your Mind Today dot org.
- 1:26:06Speaker 7: Brought to you by the Huntsman Mental Health Institute and
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: the head counsel.
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: And now back to the Sports Job Wayne Gandy.
- 1:26:17Speaker 21: Player's lounge have been given full access to the players
- 1:26:23Speaker 21: lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: Went back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: Shock Wayne can. In this corner we got Cam Newton
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: and in the other corner we have Steve Smith Senior.
- 1:27:00Speaker 4: The I knew him as Steve Smith when he retired,
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: he had a little senior to his jersey, the great
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: Panthers receiver I played majority of his career. There has
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: been on the Hall of Fame ballot Steve Smith, Cam Newton.
- 1:27:16Speaker 4: We're teammates there for a short period of time in Carolina.
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: Cam Newton made some statements about when he was being
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: drafted going into the locker room of some losers that
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: didn't really sit well with Steve Smith. I think they
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: were coming off of two and fourteen or three and
- 1:27:38Speaker 4: eleven season. They had the first pick, obviously, and they
- 1:27:43Speaker 4: got Cam Newton, and Steve seems to really had taken
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: exception to Cam labeling the locker room of locker room
- 1:27:53Speaker 4: of losers, right and I can rightfully say that is true.
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: Sitting there and using the defense that Cam's new users
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: of the first pick of the drivet does not always
- 1:28:07Speaker 4: indicate that the team is a losing team. If you
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: play sports, you start realizing some of losing is the
- 1:28:16Speaker 4: wrong combination. Like in any recipe. Yes, you you just
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: combine and sometow you can have the same recipe and
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: it's too much nutmeg, it's too much cinnamon, you put
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: too much sugar, you put too much cocoa, and a
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: right there, it's not but you mixed them wrong. It's
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: not just enough to ask the person granddaddy, grandma, mama, daddy,
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: what the recipe is, what's in it? How much of
- 1:28:45Speaker 4: it is in it? Right? Right, it's typically the key
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: to all of it. You we all know what's in it?
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: How much? How many eggs? Yeah, what made yours so better?
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: Did you leave your eggs out or they supposed to
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: be chilled? Did you use just six eggs but only
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: three yolks? Four sticks of butter but they got to
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: be softened overnight? Like all of that where they salted
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: butter on. All that matters to a recipe. And I'm
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: saying that it's the same with teams. Most times your
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: team is losing, not on the pro level. In high
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: school and college. It can be a talent thing. You're
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: just not on a lot of talent. I wasn't at
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: high school. We didn't have any talent on my football team.
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: We were won in nine my senior year. It was
- 1:29:40Speaker 4: a talent. The other teams we played had more talent.
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: College slightly. It can be talent. The pros is not talent.
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: You can have a room full of first rounders. You
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: could be the Hawks. The Hawks. The Hawks start like
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: four top ten players you might not know their name.
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: I mean about lottery picks. One or two of them
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: you might not know their name. We had number one,
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: but reesa sheer number. The number one pick d number
- 1:30:14Speaker 4: one not in the first was the fifth pick. Jalen
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: Johnson was like picked nine you and you know you
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: will sit there and it's like four of the five
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: starters lottery. So it's not a lot of But do
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: you have the right combination? And that's what I would
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: tell Cam a lot of times, especially on the pro level.
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: That's why you see the Lakers. They keep trying to
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: get the right combination. But it's not just about well
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: this guy, No, we got too many of them. But
- 1:30:48Speaker 4: can I said three sticks about them? Why did you
- 1:30:50Speaker 4: come here with nine? It's like, ikie, Yeah, that cookie
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: is gonna be buttery.
- 1:31:00Speaker 6: Oh I thought we wanted them butter.
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: Now, don't be trade you six sticks of this butter
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: because we need some chocolate chips. Okay for a quarter
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: a couple of chocolate chips, get six whole sticks. About it?
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: Chocolate chip, got no chips, and we can't use this
- 1:31:19Speaker 4: much butter. It's wasting. Well, that's kind of how it is.
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: When you go getting back to Cam and Steve a
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: lot of football teams, you're not that far as you think.
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: We're just in a bad combination. You got too many
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: of the same receivers. You need more of a possession guy.
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: You just got all speechsters, but you don't have a
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: guy that can go up and make the tough catch,
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: or you don't have a it's a combination. You got
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: the wrong And that's why it comes down to philosophies,
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: because philosophies help you go out and get people. Some
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: people just freely go get talent, or we're gonna beat
- 1:31:58Speaker 4: you just but it's not a good combination. And that's
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: what I would tell Cam that I don't know that
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: it's a any team that's getting the first pick, second
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: pick fifty. I mean, if you're in the top twenty,
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: that means you didn't go to the playoffs. So you're
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: just a couple of people away. Typically, and the right
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: combination of how to use them is usually the key.
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: Now when I'm not surprised Cam made that statement, but
- 1:32:32Speaker 5: I've always taken personal offense to things like I'm the
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: first round draft pick and I'm walking into a room
- 1:32:42Speaker 5: full of losers as you just rolled out a list
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: of reasons why teams may not be that good. Cam,
- 1:32:49Speaker 5: you're not even a pro yet. You don't have any
- 1:32:53Speaker 5: idea about what it takes to be a winner at
- 1:32:56Speaker 5: the pro level. You should be grateful, in my opinion,
- 1:32:59Speaker 5: that you're drafted, that you're good enough to make it
- 1:33:02Speaker 5: to the pro level. And you're already criticizing people who
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: do this, like you're talking about what you're going to
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: do that ain't got nothing to do with everything that's
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: already been done. You're unproven, and we've seen first round
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: number one picks go and be bussed. So I think
- 1:33:23Speaker 5: on the heels of him having made some of his
- 1:33:25Speaker 5: most recent statements, he's always shown us who he was
- 1:33:28Speaker 5: from the very beginning. He's always been an individual, and
- 1:33:32Speaker 5: that's what I was going to say, And that's what
- 1:33:34Speaker 5: brings you full circle to him being one of those guys.
- 1:33:36Speaker 5: As he said he would take his MVP over a
- 1:33:41Speaker 5: super Bowl. That kind of statement aligns with that. You
- 1:33:45Speaker 5: thought you went into locker room and you were better
- 1:33:50Speaker 5: than those people, but then you ended up on teams
- 1:33:52Speaker 5: that were barely winning too, So what does that make you?
- 1:33:56Speaker 4: Right? By three years where y'all did big numbers and
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: then you had some years where y'all were back in
- 1:34:05Speaker 4: the draft at pick five, you know, it's like, it's
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: not like y'all were winning either, and you didn't. I
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: bet you didn't have that feeling. But knowing you, since
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: you were playing well, you didn't care. It's the rest
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: of everybody that is losers. Marshall Falk is now the
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: running back coach at Colorado. Dion has brought Marshall Falk in,
- 1:34:29Speaker 4: which now puts three Hall of Famers along with Coach
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: Prime and Warren Sapp. Now you got Marshall Falk being
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: the running backs coach out there for Colorado. So kudos
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: to Marshall and coach Prime, and I think coach prime is.
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: As I said, the one thing I feel like a
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: lot of coaches will start taking advantage of is that
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: it doesn't seem to be this limit to how much
- 1:34:59Speaker 4: we will spend on coaches one and how many coaches
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: we have two. Yes, you know, we'll figure some title
- 1:35:10Speaker 4: we've talked and laughed about. We'll figure a title out.
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: Doze, I'll call you Doze.
- 1:35:16Speaker 4: You listen to get on. It's no football level. Nowhe
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: special advisory to the offensive coordinator who is the head
- 1:35:27Speaker 4: of the running backs. And that sounds legit, sounds legit.
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: He ain't got the same kind of responsibility, but ain't
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: got none the same restricts.
- 1:35:39Speaker 4: But he doesn't coach him. He don't really. He'd be
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: on the sidelines when everybody else is supposed to be
- 1:35:45Speaker 4: up in the booth. But he can come to the side. Really,
- 1:35:49Speaker 4: no coach coaches. He's not a coach coach. No, he's
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: not labeled as an assistant. No. No, he can go
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: on recruiting trips. He can't. He can't because he's not
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: a He not like that. He's not a coach coach.
- 1:36:02Speaker 4: So we've seen it, and that's what they.
- 1:36:05Speaker 6: And that's what they look at just looking at this
- 1:36:07Speaker 6: staff like there are a lot of titles like that
- 1:36:11Speaker 6: Warren Sapps titles Senior Quality Control Analyst, Uh, parentheses defense,
- 1:36:18Speaker 6: but they then they have five more quality control analysts
- 1:36:23Speaker 6: parentheses defense that.
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: You must this dude, must be the I'm saying that's
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: a money lner and operations. You have just rolled it out.
- 1:36:32Speaker 5: I was listening like that show sound like we were
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: finna get the fans fans form to come through the dough. Look, man,
- 1:36:40Speaker 5: I'm on probation. We got to stop reporting on some
- 1:36:42Speaker 5: of this. That show sounded like a scam about to
- 1:36:47Speaker 5: be under investigation.
- 1:36:48Speaker 4: Special assistance, you know, coordinator anytime you throw parentheses and
- 1:36:53Speaker 4: there were in trouble bro Yeah, I'm a special coordinator
- 1:36:57Speaker 4: to the court offensive one running back and then if
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: the parenthecees for what defense? That's what it was. The
- 1:37:07Speaker 4: parentees is what got us in travel uh soon getting
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: Marshall falk and and now with.
- 1:37:13Speaker 12: You know.
- 1:37:15Speaker 4: That era has come back, and that doesn't mean that
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: this era will stay. I'm just one of those guys
- 1:37:20Speaker 4: that understands that, like everything, life cycles and things come around.
- 1:37:24Speaker 4: And your grandparents or your mom told you about corduroy,
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: and corduroy was big in the late seventies and it
- 1:37:31Speaker 4: came back around one day. Silk shirts are gonna come
- 1:37:35Speaker 4: back with the big, big butterfly collar. The jeans that
- 1:37:40Speaker 4: Kendrick Lamar had on, the kind of bottom so lout,
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: so loud. What happened to all the skinny jeans? What
- 1:37:46Speaker 4: do you think people did with them?
- 1:37:48Speaker 5: The skinny jeans just total legs open and they added
- 1:37:51Speaker 5: a little fabric around the bottle. Yeah, you're taking skinny
- 1:37:55Speaker 5: jeans and you cut them open, and that make bail bottoms.
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: You need another strip, you know, cycles come around. I'm
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: saying that with like a fault where you got a
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: lot of players that the name itself. People want to
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: trust their son yea to go play for the name
- 1:38:14Speaker 4: of the brand, like a den the same thing he
- 1:38:16Speaker 4: or the Warren Sap. I gotta Warren Sap gonna be
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: coaching my son. Used to be you gotta make it
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: to dinner.
- 1:38:23Speaker 20: It was.
- 1:38:23Speaker 5: It was a time when they didn't want kid to
- 1:38:25Speaker 5: play running back. Oh it ain't nobody using running back
- 1:38:28Speaker 5: no more. I'm not doing that no more now they
- 1:38:31Speaker 5: hey man Marshall fox Tay going on brought them back
- 1:38:34Speaker 5: into fest. Yes he has, We'll be back more to
- 1:38:36Speaker 5: Sports Jock Show. Right after this, jud saying let the
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: chout down begin.
- 1:38:40Speaker 4: I was born in the nine. Hey take the hands
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: of the state.
- 1:38:43Speaker 14: Behold on the game on the bridge five shown the
- 1:38:47Speaker 14: five hold you three plus six plus putting the same
- 1:38:52Speaker 14: the jo put the sun step into my Lindy.
- 1:38:55Speaker 8: John don't go a Wayne Born of the Sports john
- 1:38:59Speaker 8: S Hill with Wayne videos dumbing up nasked.
- 1:39:02Speaker 25: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 1:39:05Speaker 25: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people.
- 1:39:08Speaker 25: It's a powerful opiod, often made illegally and commonly mixed
- 1:39:12Speaker 25: with illicted drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 1:39:15Speaker 25: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 1:39:19Speaker 25: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 1:39:22Speaker 25: This isn't an AD to scare you, but it is
- 1:39:24Speaker 25: an AD to make you think twice. Get the facts.
- 1:39:27Speaker 25: Go to real Deal on fentanyl dot com. This message
- 1:39:31Speaker 25: is brought to you by the Ad Council.
- 1:39:32Speaker 26: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 1:39:35Speaker 26: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 1:39:38Speaker 26: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes where
- 1:39:41Speaker 26: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 1:39:44Speaker 26: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 1:39:48Speaker 26: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 1:39:51Speaker 26: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 1:39:54Speaker 26: a positive. I knew I needed more tools on my
- 1:39:57Speaker 26: toolbox to take care of these little girls, girls that
- 1:40:01Speaker 26: just lost their mother. It's time for me to be
- 1:40:03Speaker 26: that father that I knew I could be. I think
- 1:40:06Speaker 26: just being that good role model as well. That model's
- 1:40:09Speaker 26: good behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 1:40:12Speaker 26: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 1:40:15Speaker 26: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 1:40:18Speaker 26: and watching your kids be happy.
- 1:40:22Speaker 4: Never stop being a dad.
- 1:40:24Speaker 3: That's dedication. Find out more on fatherhood.
- 1:40:26Speaker 26: Dot gov, brought to you by the US Department of
- 1:40:29Speaker 26: Health and Human Services and the AD Council.
- 1:40:34Speaker 4: And now back to the Sports Job Wayne Gandy.
- 1:40:46Speaker 6: It's way.
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: Logo so you can see a sponge chaint all shing
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: even goling. Back to the Sport Shock Show. The Sport
- 1:41:07Speaker 4: Shock Wayne again Tee the Bourbon street hustler until you
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: people out there trying to boo Taylor Swift, which I
- 1:41:16Speaker 4: don't get while y'all booing Taylor Swift, boo NBC or
- 1:41:22Speaker 4: ABC or Fox, they're the one who keeps cutting over
- 1:41:24Speaker 4: to her. She's just supporting the person she's involved with.
- 1:41:30Speaker 4: Y'all making another thing. Commanchie Greg, the commanchie Greg guy
- 1:41:33Speaker 4: in the truck. You know when y'all go into the
- 1:41:36Speaker 4: stadium and there's a bunch of trucks back there beside,
- 1:41:38Speaker 4: and they have labels like ESPN and Fox and Warner Brothers,
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: go ahead, knock on one of those doors. That's the
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: guy or gal that's in there that keeps cutting over
- 1:41:50Speaker 4: to Taylor Swift. I was trying to talk about the play,
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: and next thing I know, I look down at my
- 1:41:55Speaker 4: tellustrator and Taylor Swift is on there. I'm talking about
- 1:41:59Speaker 4: how Derek here just ran over the safety, and you
- 1:42:02Speaker 4: don't move the camera to the Swifties. We need to
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: know what she thinks war the football game. What does
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: she she? What are you talking about Travis? He's not
- 1:42:12Speaker 4: even on the field.
- 1:42:14Speaker 6: We need to know what she thinks about him not
- 1:42:16Speaker 6: being on the field. When Derrick Henry stiff armed.
- 1:42:18Speaker 5: That dude, and they completely have convinced people that that
- 1:42:22Speaker 5: manner like what she thought about Dereck Henry stiff on? Now,
- 1:42:27Speaker 5: I would rather talk to the dude that got stiff.
- 1:42:30Speaker 4: On, Like what do you think?
- 1:42:31Speaker 5: What do you think your kids are thinking right now?
- 1:42:33Speaker 5: Like you ain't gonna be able to whoop nobody where
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: you're going home. You ain't saying that to Derrick Henry.
- 1:42:40Speaker 5: You ain't gonna be able to use no base at
- 1:42:42Speaker 5: the house in your voice. Jersey, Jersey, all right now
- 1:42:50Speaker 5: use the words like that right now?
- 1:42:54Speaker 6: Jersey?
- 1:42:54Speaker 4: All right, bro? Where are you getting money for that?
- 1:42:56Speaker 4: Jersey boy?
- 1:42:59Speaker 5: I think you need to relax. You wasn't that tents
- 1:43:03Speaker 5: on the field? Come on, man, you want up in here?
- 1:43:08Speaker 5: Better ask Taylor Swift because that's where everybody was going to.
- 1:43:13Speaker 4: I don't get if he was just boring the young
- 1:43:15Speaker 4: lady for going the game. And it's one thing is
- 1:43:18Speaker 4: this this story was her eating up television because she
- 1:43:24Speaker 4: was just there to be there. But she's actually there
- 1:43:27Speaker 4: in the capacity of what she's supposed to be.
- 1:43:30Speaker 5: But that's a lot of that, in my opinion, is
- 1:43:35Speaker 5: the the toxic nature of the media. When they were winning,
- 1:43:40Speaker 5: everybody was glad she was there. We got a winner
- 1:43:43Speaker 5: with a winner, and she only make him better. But
- 1:43:46Speaker 5: when they started losing, if he would just get this
- 1:43:49Speaker 5: tramp out the booth, maybe he could focus. It's the
- 1:43:53Speaker 5: problem with the team losing is this girl in the
- 1:43:56Speaker 5: booth looking down on him, and that's then they want
- 1:43:59Speaker 5: to hate her.
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: So that's that's the media. Well, all of that coverage
- 1:44:03Speaker 4: of booing her has overshadowed that a reporter, Super Bowl
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: reporter Aiden Manzano died down in New Orleans, forty eight
- 1:44:21Speaker 4: years old. They are looking or have found let's see
- 1:44:26Speaker 4: the bourbon street hustler say she may have killed before.
- 1:44:33Speaker 5: So she's she's known for drugging men and robbing them HERMO.
- 1:44:39Speaker 5: That's a method of operation. Yes, is well known, as
- 1:44:44Speaker 5: they say to launch. She's roofing people, you know, command
- 1:44:50Speaker 5: you Greg got his back to her. He's dropping a
- 1:44:52Speaker 5: little some in the drink.
- 1:44:54Speaker 4: And now I ain't gonna lie. We didn't all have
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: a woman drop something in our drink? Am I right? Am?
- 1:44:58Speaker 4: I right? You wake up next morning like, ah my
- 1:45:01Speaker 4: Walley gone. And they're saying there was a case in
- 1:45:06Speaker 4: recent time of John Jenkins. He was fifty five. He
- 1:45:11Speaker 4: was found December fifteenth after traveling to New Orleans from Maryland.
- 1:45:19Speaker 4: He was found dead. Toxicology test would determine he was drugged,
- 1:45:26Speaker 4: perhaps fatally, so it could be linked to mister Manzano
- 1:45:33Speaker 4: as well. But they do have footage that the Nett Cobert,
- 1:45:39Speaker 4: who's forty eight years old, she's dubbed the Bourbon Street hustler.
- 1:45:44Speaker 4: They have footage that shows that she was the last
- 1:45:47Speaker 4: person to see Mazano alive.
- 1:45:52Speaker 5: Entered the room with him alive, left the room by herself.
- 1:45:56Speaker 5: Later he was found dead. Correct, do you remember why
- 1:46:00Speaker 5: why isn't this getting more traction? While we were talking
- 1:46:02Speaker 5: about beyond Rocker and because of where it happened, it happened,
- 1:46:08Speaker 5: uh John Rocker, Mahomes Senior, happened on Bourbon Street.
- 1:46:14Speaker 4: They almost got into a fight. That's Bourbon Street. We
- 1:46:17Speaker 4: cool with that. The tourists still come.
- 1:46:19Speaker 5: But if you think you got somebody down there hunting
- 1:46:23Speaker 5: men who are tourists, now that's why we come to
- 1:46:26Speaker 5: Bourbon Street to take a few pills and do a
- 1:46:29Speaker 5: couple of drinks, find us a girl. If we think
- 1:46:31Speaker 5: that they're out there hunting us to kill us, we
- 1:46:34Speaker 5: won't come anymore. And I believe that that's the only
- 1:46:37Speaker 5: reason this isn't a big because this man worked for
- 1:46:41Speaker 5: a Telemundo affiliate out.
- 1:46:43Speaker 4: Of Is the Net a serial killing worker? Those are
- 1:46:50Speaker 4: two different things she could be. You think she's a
- 1:46:54Speaker 4: sex That may be her lures. That may be her lure.
- 1:46:58Speaker 5: Do you remember the gentleman that was found with an
- 1:47:00Speaker 5: im baton ruge baton rouge. He had been missing a
- 1:47:03Speaker 5: number of days and they found him in like a
- 1:47:07Speaker 5: underpass covered with debris, alleging that he had gone looking
- 1:47:12Speaker 5: for a good time and met with some foul play,
- 1:47:15Speaker 5: or maybe he had overdosed and they just left him.
- 1:47:18Speaker 5: So I would imagine that's part of her emo is
- 1:47:23Speaker 5: you want to have a good time, whatever that entails.
- 1:47:28Speaker 4: I can provide that. And then they become victims and
- 1:47:33Speaker 4: looks like they are paling around, so it looks like
- 1:47:36Speaker 4: it was more than jazz a one night. They're walking
- 1:47:41Speaker 4: around the hotel like they're entering and going out, but
- 1:47:44Speaker 4: they it seems like one of those situations where drugs
- 1:47:52Speaker 4: are definitely involved. Now how far into the drug bag
- 1:47:56Speaker 4: the NET go it's doing. Maybe she's just supplying it.
- 1:48:02Speaker 4: I didn't kill you, just the drugs of the night.
- 1:48:06Speaker 5: Again.
- 1:48:06Speaker 4: Again, whatever you're trying to get into I got that.
- 1:48:10Speaker 4: I got all of that.
- 1:48:12Speaker 5: I'm just saying, but you understand that there's a cost
- 1:48:15Speaker 5: and effect, and you know, let let's break bread.
- 1:48:20Speaker 4: I'm your tour guide, right, I'm your tour And this
- 1:48:22Speaker 4: happened February fifth, so this would have been that Wednesday
- 1:48:28Speaker 4: before the super Bowl. It's funny that it didn't get
- 1:48:31Speaker 4: any kind of.
- 1:48:32Speaker 5: I heard about it right before the super Bowl happened,
- 1:48:37Speaker 5: but they did not make it a lead story.
- 1:48:39Speaker 4: I thought that was interesting. We'll be back more to
- 1:48:41Speaker 4: Sports Shock Show right after this.
- 1:48:43Speaker 22: You're going to keep me, going to keep me, going
- 1:48:45Speaker 22: to keep me to eat from knowing what happens out there.
- 1:48:49Speaker 4: Is not my concern. You want to die.
- 1:48:50Speaker 15: It's not my tongue to do something to me like
- 1:48:53Speaker 15: jumping number stades on.
- 1:48:55Speaker 22: The highway, doing over eighty without music being.
- 1:49:01Speaker 26: Just like to.
- 1:49:04Speaker 8: Don't Go Away, or of the Sports Jock Show with
- 1:49:06Speaker 8: Wayne Dandubius coming up next.
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: And now let's talk about something exciting. Life insurance. Three
- 1:49:12Speaker 2: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:49:19Speaker 2: life insurance.
- 1:49:20Speaker 23: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:49:22Speaker 23: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:49:24Speaker 4: Life insurance.
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:49:26Speaker 4: What about you?
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:49:30Speaker 23: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:49:31Speaker 23: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:49:33Speaker 23: survive without me. That's when I'm in an appointment with
- 1:49:35Speaker 23: the insurance informant.
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:49:42Speaker 23: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:49:45Speaker 23: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:49:47Speaker 2: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:49:49Speaker 2: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: two options, benefits or bill?

- 1:50:04Speaker 3: or bills?

- 1:51:10Speaker 27: Ad on the sports jock dot com. And now back
- 1:51:15Speaker 27: to the Sports jibt Wayne Gandy, It's.
- 1:51:20Speaker 21: Time for the school board when we put a spin
- 1:51:23Speaker 21: on light and sports and how they intermingle on the
- 1:51:28Speaker 21: Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:51:53Speaker 14: I Gotta love Jones for your body, youngishn Zone Bumming Flone.
- 1:51:57Speaker 4: I'm already on the broons. Welcome back to this sport show.
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: Tell him this war, shock wing agandee, what else do
- 1:52:04Speaker 4: we have here today? Travis Kelcey says he's gonna take
- 1:52:08Speaker 4: a little time think about whether he should retire or not.
- 1:52:11Speaker 4: What does that mean? That means that Travis kelce has
- 1:52:14Speaker 4: reached a point where he wants to get some fillers
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: for what will be his next stage. Will he get
- 1:52:20Speaker 4: to host a TV show? Is on program? Gonna see?
- 1:52:24Speaker 4: Assess Fox? Can he get one of those Brady deals?
- 1:52:29Speaker 4: That's what's gonna to me solidify him exiting the football field.
- 1:52:32Speaker 4: Does he have another year in him? The way they're
- 1:52:35Speaker 4: using him, I do believe that he could come back
- 1:52:37Speaker 4: and play one more year. Good production. For where he
- 1:52:41Speaker 4: is in his career. You can't hold him man at
- 1:52:45Speaker 4: thirty five, thirty six years old to what he was
- 1:52:46Speaker 4: doing when he was twenty eight. It's not really how
- 1:52:49Speaker 4: it works. He was very effective belling certain plays out. Definitely,
- 1:52:55Speaker 4: he deserves the right to try to one more time,
- 1:52:58Speaker 4: but I think he'll be just like his brother. The
- 1:53:01Speaker 4: Eagles were asking Jason to come back. Jason found a
- 1:53:05Speaker 4: nice little landing spot where he could make about the
- 1:53:08Speaker 4: same or more money without being thrown on his back.
- 1:53:13Speaker 4: And I think Travis is going to do the same
- 1:53:15Speaker 4: thing you're saying. I don't have to do anymore people
- 1:53:18Speaker 4: falling falling on me, drive big, big guys falling on me,
- 1:53:21Speaker 4: and he's gonna pay me the same money money and
- 1:53:24Speaker 4: nobody falls on because he keep we keep coming back
- 1:53:27Speaker 4: and nobody falls on me.
- 1:53:28Speaker 5: Right now, put that in on the on the paper,
- 1:53:32Speaker 5: that nobody falls on me.
- 1:53:34Speaker 4: So we will see what Travis Kelsey Aaron Rodgers to
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: the Raiders. Can you see that? Yeah?
- 1:53:41Speaker 6: Why not?
- 1:53:41Speaker 4: I couldn't. I couldn't see him going to the Jets.
- 1:53:43Speaker 6: So yeah, possible. But the team that's come up the
- 1:53:46Speaker 6: most from what I've read is the Steelers the Stealers.
- 1:53:51Speaker 4: Hmmm hmm. I have to think on that one. I'm
- 1:53:55Speaker 4: trying to think of his where he is and hmm,
- 1:54:00Speaker 4: I don't know. I think you need a little more
- 1:54:05Speaker 4: mobility to play in that well. And for Miles Garrett
- 1:54:10Speaker 4: and the way that the Baltimore defense gets after you
- 1:54:13Speaker 4: and stuff like that, you might leave. You know, Russell's
- 1:54:16Speaker 4: ability to still have a little scramble in him help, right, Yeah,
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: I don't think Aaron has that, and I don't know
- 1:54:22Speaker 4: that the Stellers have enough explosive receivers to make that happen.
- 1:54:29Speaker 4: At least with the Raiders. You got like brought Purty,
- 1:54:32Speaker 4: not brought Preddie, brought Bowers and hmm, the Stealers and
- 1:54:39Speaker 4: Aaron Rodgers. That just doesn't sound we'll see.
- 1:54:47Speaker 5: I do want to ask about Travis Kelsey, you saying
- 1:54:49Speaker 5: that he's got some feelers. I'll see what the next
- 1:54:51Speaker 5: phase of his life is going to be.
- 1:54:53Speaker 4: We rarely see.
- 1:54:56Speaker 5: Anymore where the next phase of my life is just
- 1:55:00Speaker 5: going to be me riding off into the sunset. There
- 1:55:04Speaker 5: are very few athletes that just retire retire anymore. Like
- 1:55:08Speaker 5: there's some guys that when we see them on the sideline,
- 1:55:10Speaker 5: we go, oh man, there's a you know, Earl Campbell,
- 1:55:14Speaker 5: there's a you know, somebody like that. But rarely do
- 1:55:20Speaker 5: we see these guys now just retiring. They all have
- 1:55:23Speaker 5: to or most seem to be moving into some sort
- 1:55:26Speaker 5: of media or podcast capacity they don't, or coaching.
- 1:55:33Speaker 4: They just don't go away anymore. No, that's not that
- 1:55:36Speaker 4: was something I always I think I've shared with you
- 1:55:40Speaker 4: many times. One of the big things that was sold
- 1:55:44Speaker 4: to the old athlete was this idea that your career
- 1:55:50Speaker 4: will be all that you ever want to do. Okay,
- 1:55:53Speaker 4: And what we have learned here over the last twenty
- 1:55:56Speaker 4: to twenty five years is that that opponent in you,
- 1:56:00Speaker 4: that's built in you to succeed in sports, it's something
- 1:56:07Speaker 4: that's going to always want to be fed. It's going
- 1:56:10Speaker 4: to always want to challenge, it's going to always want
- 1:56:12Speaker 4: something to do. It's just like the young man we
- 1:56:15Speaker 4: were talking about earlier, even if he didn't make the NBA,
- 1:56:19Speaker 4: if he had went to be an assistant coach or
- 1:56:22Speaker 4: something like that and stay in there, and he probably
- 1:56:25Speaker 4: would have had a whole nother path of where he
- 1:56:27Speaker 4: would have been at twenty eight. Yeah, but this cold
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: turkey kind of idea. And that's why I think you
- 1:56:32Speaker 4: see more and more it's hard to find a team
- 1:56:37Speaker 4: where there's not four or five x NFL players coaching now,
- 1:56:42Speaker 4: not just you know, it used to be this thing
- 1:56:45Speaker 4: if you made the NFL or the NBA just go
- 1:56:47Speaker 4: home right now all kind of when I go to
- 1:56:51Speaker 4: basketball team and watch the game, it's four or five
- 1:56:55Speaker 4: X player. If you're looking for your old favorite player,
- 1:56:58Speaker 4: he probably an assistant coach right right for Milwaukee Bucks.
- 1:57:02Speaker 4: And it was a really good player, yeah, very yeah,
- 1:57:07Speaker 4: very was a household name. And you'll look over there
- 1:57:10Speaker 4: and he's in the huddle with and so is that
- 1:57:13Speaker 4: Marshall fault that especial liaison to the running backs? Ye
- 1:57:19Speaker 4: think about that, you got Marshall fault. You know, we
- 1:57:22Speaker 4: got warnings of the guys that you would have never
- 1:57:24Speaker 4: thought that retired twenty years ago coach would even be
- 1:57:28Speaker 4: on that path, the television path. Sure, but to put
- 1:57:32Speaker 4: in the hours in the time. And that's why I said,
- 1:57:34Speaker 4: with the increase of coaches, it's paved the path that
- 1:57:39Speaker 4: now I don't have to know how to do all
- 1:57:41Speaker 4: this scan tron computer. You'll hire Greg to help me
- 1:57:46Speaker 4: with that aspect, right, So I can just take my
- 1:57:48Speaker 4: expertise of teaching the kid how to play right, and
- 1:57:55Speaker 4: he will do all the other technical stuff, you know,
- 1:58:00Speaker 4: the you know, coming up with the scan sheets or
- 1:58:03Speaker 4: whatever is on the computer. I'll do the coaching. That's
- 1:58:05Speaker 4: the combination. That's why they have all the most screened
- 1:58:08Speaker 4: titles so they you know, and there's no limit. It
- 1:58:11Speaker 4: used to be one coach had to do everything for
- 1:58:16Speaker 4: a team. You know, and now there's a row. Those
- 1:58:21Speaker 4: aren't the injured guys. There's the players in front, and
- 1:58:25Speaker 4: then there's like eight people in the sitting behind each plays,
- 1:58:30Speaker 4: each each players. Got it seem like each player has
- 1:58:33Speaker 4: a coach. It's like eight players, eight people sitting behind
- 1:58:37Speaker 4: them in matching outfits. Those are not the reserves, now
- 1:58:41Speaker 4: those are Those are the coaches, you know, and I'm
- 1:58:44Speaker 4: quite sure them old school coaches are upset because it
- 1:58:46Speaker 4: was just it used to be them and one assistant coach.
- 1:58:50Speaker 4: You to the assistant coach had to wrap your ankles,
- 1:58:54Speaker 4: wash the clothes and all that kind of stuff. And
- 1:58:57Speaker 4: now you got a whole team of free throw the
- 1:59:00Speaker 4: free throw shooting.
- 1:59:01Speaker 6: Coat, the free point shoot, free throw quality control analysts.
- 1:59:06Speaker 4: That is defense. Because he ain't on the staff though,
- 1:59:13Speaker 4: he just the kind of like an aliaison to the
- 1:59:16Speaker 4: assistant to the ambassador. Right. Yeah, for two hundred and
- 1:59:22Speaker 4: seventy five thousand, Yeah.
- 1:59:25Speaker 28: It sounded like the eighties reconds and we are in
- 1:59:30Speaker 28: the ocean. The truth is he will throw your in
- 1:59:35Speaker 28: the ocean. It's time to wrap things up.

- 2:00:44Speaker 4: the next wave of payments about to come through college.
- 2:00:49Speaker 4: The power conferences now will govern themselves. The NCAA says
- 2:00:56Speaker 4: that they don't't have anything to do with it. We
- 2:01:00Speaker 4: will let the conferences control policing. Athlete compensation sounds like
- 2:01:11Speaker 4: pro sports to me. But the thing that you're gonna
- 2:01:14Speaker 4: have to watch out and what we're gonna be reporting
- 2:01:16Speaker 4: on here, I'm quite sure they're gonna have picket signs.
- 2:01:21Speaker 4: The Department of Education is said that Title nine does
- 2:01:24Speaker 4: not apply to payment. So all you ladies out there,
- 2:01:30Speaker 4: they thought y'all was gonna be able to get an
- 2:01:32Speaker 4: equal check. Uh nah, that's just for equipment and making
- 2:01:37Speaker 4: sure if we stay at the holiday inn, you have
- 2:01:41Speaker 4: to stay at the holiday in. But when it comes
- 2:01:44Speaker 4: to payment, if your sport can't pay you, it's not
- 2:01:49Speaker 4: on the university just need to throw that out there
- 2:01:52Speaker 4: because they just kind of quietly wrote that into law.
- 2:01:55Speaker 4: And some of y'all gonna be upset when you send
- 2:01:57Speaker 4: your daughter and be looking for her check. Uh, it's
- 2:02:01Speaker 4: not gonna be there. So the Biden administration guidance, because
- 2:02:05Speaker 4: that's who brought this in, has been null and voided
- 2:02:10Speaker 4: that Title nine does not apply to nil and it
- 2:02:16Speaker 4: does not guarantee that the disbursement of direct payments have
- 2:02:21Speaker 4: to be equal to male and female athletes. Gonna make
- 2:02:26Speaker 4: sure you knew that, Big kNN Hey, don't be mad
- 2:02:28Speaker 4: girls basketball team. The baseball team gonna be mad too.
- 2:02:32Speaker 4: Just be millions of golf upset. Two they mad. They're
- 2:02:36Speaker 4: gonna be mad at the football team again. The questrian
- 2:02:39Speaker 4: team superheated. So don't be just mad gymnastics. So for
- 2:02:43Speaker 4: Big Kenny the funny man himself, command she Gregg this
- 2:02:49Speaker 4: weekend All Star Weekend Daytona five hundred. We almost don't
