  Speaker 1: You know, we're in the middle of Lent season. It's

  Speaker 1: that season after Ash Wednesday leading up to Easter. It's

  Speaker 1: a period of fasting and prayer and all of that. Right,

  Speaker 1: I'm getting ready to be the narrator in a production
• 0:24
  Speaker 1: the Crucifixion of Christ at my home church, Brown Baptist
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: on that Wednesday before Easter on the sixteenth, And we
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: were in rehearsal and the young man Larsay, who's portraying Jesus, huh, well,
• 0:38
  Speaker 1: everybody's doing a great job of this young man.

  Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, he's bringing that thing to life.

  Speaker 1: And it became overwhelming in rehearsal, and it made me
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: start to reflect and think about the sacrifice, the real
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: sacrifice of Jesus and what he actually went through for you,
• 0:56
  Speaker 1: for me. Sometimes we take that all the time, I
• 1:00
  Speaker 1: should say, we take it for granted.

  Speaker 2: So today I just want.

  Speaker 1: To pray a prayer of thanksgiving, Father God, in the

  Speaker 1: name of Jesus, we come before you with hearts full
• 1:11
  Speaker 1: of gratitude for the sacrifice of your son Jesus Christ.

  Speaker 1: Thank you for sending him to die on the cross
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: for our sins, a gift we could never earn. God,
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: and a love beyond even our human understanding. Forgive us
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: God for the many, many times we've taken it for granted.

  Speaker 2: Thank you God. Thank you for the gift of Jesus.

  Speaker 1: Christ, through his death and more importantly, his resurrection. God,

  Speaker 1: you've provided us with forgiveness of sin. According to Ephesians

  Speaker 1: one in seven, our guilt and shame are washed away

  Speaker 1: and we are made new. Thank you God that we

  Speaker 1: are provided with eternal life according to John three point sixteen,

  Speaker 1: because he lives, we have the promise of life with

  Speaker 1: You forever. We have reconciliation with you God, according to

  Speaker 1: Second Careerrinthians five.

  Speaker 2: Eighteen and nineteen.

  Speaker 1: No longer separated by sin, we are now called your children.

  Speaker 1: We have freedom from condemnation. According to Romans eight and one,

  Speaker 1: has paid it all. Come on, Jesus, we have victory over.

  Speaker 1: enjoy as a result. Let our lives be a testimony

  Speaker 1: God of your goodness and the power of the Cross.
