Police Worried Royal Permission Could Derail Searches of Andrew’s Homes (10/18/26) · Beyond The Horizon

Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. We're learning a little bit more about the
• 0:07
Speaker 1: police raid on Prince Andrew and what their basis for
• 0:11
Speaker 1: that raid was. And according to new documents that have
• 0:15
Speaker 1: been released, the police feared that Prince Andrew would block
• 0:19
Speaker 1: those searches by using the king's name. So they felt
• 0:24
Speaker 1: that they had to act quickly and get this evidence
• 0:28
Speaker 1: before Andrew... found a way to roadblock them and keep
• 0:33
Speaker 1: them from it. Now, of course, that was overturned by
• 0:37
Speaker 1: the High Court in London. So today, we have an
• 0:39
Speaker 1: article from The Independent and the headline, Police Feared Andrew
• 0:43
Speaker 1: Would Block Searches By Demanding King's Permission, Legal Documents Show.
• 0:48
Speaker 1: This article was authored by Mathilde Grandjean. Officers worried that
• 0:54
Speaker 1: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor might obstruct property searches by insisting police needed
• 0:59
Speaker 1: to seek authorization from the King. Newly released court files show.
• 1:04
Speaker 1: So yeah, I could see that being a concern, right?
• 1:06
Speaker 1: You're going after the King's brother, and not just any brother,
• 1:10
Speaker 1: but the most shameless of the most shameless. And if
• 1:13
Speaker 1: there's a way to weasel his way out of any trouble,
• 1:16
Speaker 1: he's going to find it. So I could see that
• 1:18
Speaker 1: being a motivating factor for them to try and get
• 1:21
Speaker 1: the raid underway. and get things in motion. Thames Valley
• 1:26
Speaker 1: Police has conceded that the search warrants executed during February
• 1:30
Speaker 1: raids on Royal Lodge, his former Windsor residence, and his
• 1:33
Speaker 1: home on the Sandringham estate were unlawful. Yeah, because of
• 1:38
Speaker 1: loopholes and technicalities. And frankly, I don't know if the
• 1:41
Speaker 1: Thames Valley Police are in on it or not. This
• 1:44
Speaker 1: could all be an elaborate ruse to get Prince Andrew
• 1:47
Speaker 1: off the hook. Now, there's no evidence of that, right?
• 1:51
Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean that's not what's going on. And
• 1:54
Speaker 1: that doesn't mean that I'm just taking everything that they
• 1:56
Speaker 1: tell us at face value. I most certainly am not.
• 2:00
Speaker 1: Now I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt,
• 2:03
Speaker 1: at least as far as the investigation goes, that they're
• 2:06
Speaker 1: doing it for legitimate means, but they're going to be
• 2:08
Speaker 1: held accountable. And we're going to follow along every step
• 2:11
Speaker 1: of the way, just like we do here in America.
• 2:15
Speaker 1: Following a legal challenge by Andrew, high court documents have
• 2:18
Speaker 1: disclosed that the force was anxious... Crucial material might be
• 2:22
Speaker 1: lost if officers were forced to request clearance from Buckingham
• 2:25
Speaker 1: Palace prior to executing the searches. That in itself is
• 2:30
Speaker 1: a big problem. So they felt like they couldn't contact
• 2:34
Speaker 1: Buckingham Palace because of leaks. They thought that if they
• 2:37
Speaker 1: contacted the palace, it'd get back to Andrew and sensitive
• 2:42
Speaker 1: documents would be destroyed or hidden. So instead, they made
• 2:46
Speaker 1: their move. But remember who we're dealing with here. He
• 2:51
Speaker 1: might be the most embarrassing of the bunch. He might
• 2:53
Speaker 1: be the outcast, the black sheep, if you will. But
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: he's still the queen's son. And I have a suspicion
• 3:00
Speaker 1: that he has a lot more support behind the scenes
• 3:02
Speaker 1: when it comes to the other royals than they've let on.
• 3:06
Speaker 1: None of this is new. They could have ostracized Andrew
• 3:10
Speaker 1: a long time ago. They chose not to. And only
• 3:12
Speaker 1: when the pressure campaign from the public reached a level
• 3:15
Speaker 1: that was unavoidable did they act. And even then, What
• 3:20
Speaker 1: have they really done? According to the filings, investigators were
• 3:26
Speaker 1: looking to seize paperwork, diaries, business records, or other documentary
• 3:30
Speaker 1: evidence of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's time as Special Representative for Trade
• 3:36
Speaker 1: and Investment. And that's what this investigation hinges on, right?
• 3:41
Speaker 1: Andrew trading private information, confidential information, to people outside the
• 3:45
Speaker 1: government of the UK, namely Jeffrey Epstein. But I'm sure
• 3:49
Speaker 1: there were others. If you had a big enough bag,
• 3:52
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew certainly was showing up to play. Everybody knows
• 3:55
Speaker 1: that Prince Andrew was for sale. Whether that's a corrupt
• 3:58
Speaker 1: businessman in China, or Turkey, or Jeffrey Epstein, it didn't matter.
• 4:07
Speaker 1: Submissions from Andrew's legal team note that officers told the
• 4:10
Speaker 1: Old Bailey judge, AMW, or his legal team, may seek
• 4:13
Speaker 1: to advance that the property belongs to someone else, the king,
• 4:17
Speaker 1: and the separate legal permission should be sought. So basically
• 4:21
Speaker 1: saying the king owns this property and if you want
• 4:23
Speaker 1: to raid it or you want to seize anything from it,
• 4:26
Speaker 1: you have to get the okay from the crown. Which
• 4:29
Speaker 1: is a whole other conversation for a whole other time,
• 4:31
Speaker 1: by the way. I find it to be absolutely disgusting
• 4:35
Speaker 1: that the crown would have anything to do with it.
• 4:39
Speaker 1: I mean, aren't they just a figurehead at this point?
• 4:43
Speaker 1: They should be treated as such. They're a relic of
• 4:46
Speaker 1: the past. And it's time to move forward. Police further
• 4:51
Speaker 1: argued obtaining such consent may not be expeditious and seeking
• 4:55
Speaker 1: to do so in advance may frustrate the nature and
• 4:58
Speaker 1: purpose of the search, they added. According to the same documents,
• 5:02
Speaker 1: police considered Andrew a suspect in a number of serious offenses,
• 5:07
Speaker 1: including forwarding official reports to pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein within
• 5:12
Speaker 1: minutes of receiving them. I'm sure that had nothing to
• 5:15
Speaker 1: do with the fact that Epstein had Prince Andrew dancing
• 5:19
Speaker 1: from the rope. You want to talk about a marionette?
• 5:23
Speaker 1: You want to talk about a puppeteer? That was definitely
• 5:26
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. And he brought Andrew in close and then
• 5:30
Speaker 1: sunk the trap on him. And that trap, of course,
• 5:33
Speaker 1: was Virginia. That's how Jeffrey Epstein sunk his hooks completely
• 5:40
Speaker 1: into Andrew. And Andrew's dumbass was more than happy to
• 5:44
Speaker 1: just go along with it. During that BBC interview, all
• 5:47
Speaker 1: he had to say was I was manipulated by Epstein
• 5:49
Speaker 1: and Epstein was blackmailing me. Epstein did this. Epstein did that.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: But no. Instead, he tried to defend his behavior and
• 5:58
Speaker 1: also tried to minimize what Epstein was. The reports related
• 6:05
Speaker 1: to Andrew's official trips to trade envoy to Singapore, Vietnam, China,
• 6:10
Speaker 1: and Hong Kong in October of 2010. And keep in mind,
• 6:14
Speaker 1: on a lot of those trips, he was palling around
• 6:16
Speaker 1: with Epstein and Maxwell. So what were they up to?
• 6:21
Speaker 1: What kind of shit was happening in the dark? That's
• 6:23
Speaker 1: the real question. The documents also contained a statement from
• 6:28
Speaker 1: Detective Chief Inspector in charge of the raids at Andrew's
• 6:32
Speaker 1: properties to the old Bailey judge who granted the warrants.
• 6:35
Speaker 1: The DCI, whose identity was not disclosed, told the judge,
• 6:40
Speaker 1: My investigative objectives are to secure relevant evidence in a
• 6:43
Speaker 1: timely and secure fashion. And look, that's what you always
• 6:47
Speaker 1: want to do, right? As the police... You want to
• 6:50
Speaker 1: get in, get everything you need, and get everyone home safely,
• 6:54
Speaker 1: including the target of the raid. But if you're giving
• 6:58
Speaker 1: people a heads up, or the palace gives them the
• 7:01
Speaker 1: heads up, then they're going to get rid of the
• 7:03
Speaker 1: documentation or the information that you're looking for. And I
• 7:06
Speaker 1: guess that was a big fear of the police. Failure
• 7:10
Speaker 1: to do so risks loss of evidence and a consequent
• 7:13
Speaker 1: loss of public trust and confidence in the investigation. Well,
• 7:17
Speaker 1: to play devil's advocate here, so does a bad warrant.
• 7:21
Speaker 1: That gives Prince Andrew some tenable ground to stand on. Look,
• 7:25
Speaker 1: I'm being wrongly maligned. They're going after me for no reason.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: I did nothing wrong. Just look at what the judge said.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: And on and on and on it goes. AMW and
• 7:39
Speaker 1: or his representatives may or may not be in a
• 7:42
Speaker 1: position to grant access to the premises. Either way, I
• 7:45
Speaker 1: cannot risk not having an appropriate legal power to achieve
• 7:48
Speaker 1: my objectives. So he brought this to a judge, a
• 7:51
Speaker 1: judge signed off on it, and later on it was
• 7:53
Speaker 1: found to be not acceptable. Maybe they just shopped for
• 7:57
Speaker 1: a judge that was friendly to Andrew and the Crown. What,
• 8:01
Speaker 1: you don't think they're venue shopping over in the UK?
• 8:04
Speaker 1: They most certainly are. They're doing the same exact shit
• 8:08
Speaker 1: that you see here in America. Just dancing to a
• 8:10
Speaker 1: different tune. Police also argued it was a matter of
• 8:15
Speaker 1: public record that Andrew has previously not engaged with other
• 8:18
Speaker 1: investigative strands relating to his alleged involvement with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 8:23
Speaker 1: That's true. He refuses to talk to anybody, refuses to
• 8:27
Speaker 1: speak to the authorities, even after he promised to do so.
• 8:30
  Speaker 1: I mean, we're talking about a guy that was a
• 8:32
Speaker 1: person of interest all the way back in 2019. Okay?
• 8:37
Speaker 1: A person of interest. They wanted to talk to him,
• 8:40
Speaker 1: and they went so far... as to put in an
• 8:43
Speaker 1: MLA request with the High Court in England, which was
• 8:45
Speaker 1: denied by the way. So we can criticize the DOJ
• 8:48
Speaker 1: all day, and they deserve it. But things aren't much
• 8:51
Speaker 1: better over in the UK, and anybody who thinks any
• 8:54
Speaker 1: different is crazy. This whole entire Epstein situation was shoved
• 8:59
Speaker 1: directly under the rug over in the UK too. This
• 9:03
Speaker 1: son of a bitch was abusing women in the UK
• 9:06
Speaker 1: like it's nobody's business, and using the UK as a
• 9:09
Speaker 1: jumping off point for trafficking. And the High Court, the
• 9:14
Speaker 1: same High Court by the way, that decided that Andrews'
• 9:17
Speaker 1: warrant is not up to snuff, were the same people
• 9:20
Speaker 1: protecting Epstein back then too. So do with that as
• 9:23
Speaker 1: you will. Andrews' lawyers denied the allegation, adding that TVP
• 9:30
Speaker 1: never contacted the former Duke of York or his legal
• 9:33
Speaker 1: team to ask whether they would grant access to other
• 9:35
Speaker 1: residences or any relevant evidence. Such contact from TVP was
• 9:40
Speaker 1: plainly appropriate in circumstances of the media publicizing its investigation,
• 9:45
Speaker 1: they said. Yeah, shit over in the UK is weird. Like,
• 9:49
Speaker 1: I have to ask you if I can come to
• 9:50
Speaker 1: your house and raid it? Nah bro, I'm showing up
• 9:52
Speaker 1: with SWAT, I'm kicking in the door, I'm waving the 404,
• 9:56
Speaker 1: and your bitch ass is going to jail. Yeah. no
• 10:00
Speaker 1: explanation in the application of why there were reasonable grounds
• 10:03
Speaker 1: for that conclusion given the claimant's good character, his public
• 10:06
Speaker 1: role as a former working member of the royal family,
• 10:09
Speaker 1: the intense public scrutiny to which he is subject, and
• 10:12
Speaker 1: the willingness expressed in respect of other investigations to assist
• 10:16
Speaker 1: the police and cooperate. But he didn't do it If
• 10:20
Speaker 1: he cooperated, assisted the police, he wouldn't be getting raided.
• 10:24
Speaker 1: And the whole entire plan here to recreate what happened,
• 10:27
Speaker 1: to rebuild who Prince Andrew is and was, is going
• 10:30
Speaker 1: to fail spectacularly. And I'm going to take great joy
• 10:34
Speaker 1: in making sure that it does. The former Duke of
• 10:36
Speaker 1: York was taken into custody on suspicion of misconduct in
• 10:39
Speaker 1: public office on February 19th, his 66th birthday. following claims
• 10:44
Speaker 1: that he shared sensitive information with Jeffrey Epstein while serving
• 10:48
Speaker 1: as trade envoy for the UK. Andrew was interviewed under
• 10:52
Speaker 1: caution before being released under investigation. He denies all allegations
• 10:57
Speaker 1: of wrongdoing and the police inquiry remains ongoing. Last week, Mr.
• 11:01
Speaker 1: Justice Hilliard noted that although the Tamed Valley police and
• 11:05
Speaker 1: the King's younger brother came to an agreement regarding the
• 11:08
Speaker 1: unlawfulness of the warrants, the forces launched a legal application
• 11:12
Speaker 1: against to retain evidence gathered during the searches in February.
• 11:16
Speaker 1: So that'll be good if they can get that. And
• 11:19
Speaker 1: they can get that evidence the proper way. That only
• 11:22
Speaker 1: goes to further the case they have against Andrew. So
• 11:25
Speaker 1: I hope they're able to do that. The judge stated
• 11:28
Speaker 1: that Andrew opposes the bid to retain the evidence with
• 11:31
Speaker 1: a hearing in the case to be held in private
• 11:33
Speaker 1: in 2027. Consequently, the former prince could remain in limbo
• 11:37
Speaker 1: for several more months before learning if he will be
• 11:40
Speaker 1: charged with an offense. Well, I have my doubts that
• 11:44
Speaker 1: that's going to happen. As far as him getting charged,
• 11:47
Speaker 1: we'll just have to see. So we'll continue following along
• 11:50
Speaker 1: with this investigation into Andrew as this situation continues to
• 11:54
Speaker 1: play out. All the information that goes with this episode
• 11:59
Speaker 1: can be found in the description box.
