- 0:00I had this really interesting dream last night where someone was asking me to smuggle something
- 0:20and I really wanted to get the job and then every time they were so they were like oh it's
- 0:24it's chickens. And I was like, oh, chickens are the easiest thing to smuggle.
- 0:29Like, so yeah, I could do that. That's great. And they were like, oh, would they lay eggs?
- 0:33And I was like, chicken laying eggs? That's even
- 0:37easier to smuggle. I was like, I was saying anything I could to like get this like smuggling deal.
- 0:41You just really needed this job. Yeah, I really wanted to do it. So I was like planning out this like smuggling
- 0:45expedition with chickens. And then
- 0:48suddenly it like morphed and we were like at this like Olympic event.
- 0:53and my friend was there
- 0:55and one of the events was walking
- 0:57like a high beam
- 0:59high over the city and it was like
- 1:01scary
- 1:02and I was like I can't do this
- 1:05and she goes it's super easy
- 1:07once you
- 1:08put high heels on
- 1:10so I was like oh that's the trick
- 1:12she's like yeah watch and she put heels on
- 1:14and just like
- 1:15walked across it super easy and I was so
- 1:19scared
- 1:20did you do it?
- 1:22No, I woke up with a cramp.
- 1:24Oh, because of the high heels.
- 1:25Yeah, probably.
- 1:26You know, the brain doesn't know the difference between sleep and awake.
- 1:30The brain's an idiot.
- 1:31Brain is doing the best it can.
- 1:34Try harder, brain.
- 1:36Yeah.
- 1:36So it just got me thinking.
- 1:38Brain.
- 1:39We don't smuggle enough.
- 1:42It's a good point.
- 1:44I want to smuggle even when no one's asked me to.
- 1:48Just for no reason.
- 1:50We should find some chickens.
- 1:51Okay.
- 1:53And just bring them places?
- 1:54Only if they're laying eggs.
- 1:56Well, they're easier that way.
- 1:57That's what I've heard from myself.
- 2:01Isn't it interesting?
- 2:02The word smuggle is one letter off from snuggling.
- 2:07Snuggling is you're cuddling, basically.
- 2:10Smuggling is you're moving.
- 2:12Cuddling things close to your body and then depositing them somewhere else.
- 2:15I always think of smuggling as putting something under your shirt.
- 2:19I don't know why.
- 2:20Oh, I think of it like keistering.
- 2:23Like keistering?
- 2:24Yeah.
- 2:24Like butt?
- 2:25Yeah.
- 2:25Oh.
- 2:27That's the worst way to think of it.
- 2:30It is, but that's how, I mean, people do smuggle.
- 2:32I want to have a trench coat that I open and things fall out of.
- 2:37Well, maybe instead you should have a trench coat that you open and things are for sale.
- 2:41That too.
- 2:42That's, I mean, really one of the main end goals of smuggling.
- 2:45Selling the things you're smuggling.
- 2:47Selling the things you're selling.
- 2:50Yeah, that's why I want to just do...
- 2:52Smuggling implies illegality, doesn't it?
- 2:57Yeah, because why else would you smuggle it?
- 2:59Why not just do it?
- 3:00But I want to act as if I'm smuggling things.
- 3:05Recreational smuggling?
- 3:07You could just say it.
- 3:09You could go anywhere and be like,
- 3:10oh, I smuggled these drinks in, but it's like water.
- 3:13Yeah.
- 3:14That's still smuggling because it was done outside of the public purview.
- 3:18No one knows.
- 3:20Yeah.
- 3:23Yeah, let's do it.
- 3:25Let's smuggle.
- 3:26And then we'll snuggle.
- 3:27Aww.
- 3:30Welcome to Very Fine Friends.
- 3:33Listeners, if you're listening to this, and we know you are because you're listening to it, listeners.
- 3:38It's like Schrodinger's podcast.
- 3:39We just smuggled you into our podcast.
- 3:41Welcome.
- 3:42Snuggle us.
- 3:44We smuggled, so now we snuggle.
- 3:46First you smuggle, then you snuggle.
- 3:49Hold on, I'm writing this down.
- 3:51Do you have the, not snuggling first.
- 3:54No, no.
- 3:55That's, nope.
- 3:56Scratching it out.
- 3:57That's the reward for all the smuggling.
- 3:58That's right.
- 3:59Smuggling, then snahuggling.
- 4:02Yes.
- 4:03We do them in alphabetical order.
- 4:06Oh, that's good.
- 4:06That's how you remember.
- 4:07That'll help people just learning the alphabet.
- 4:10Yes, that's what I was hoping for.
- 4:12You know how you always smuggle first and then you snuggle?
- 4:16Well, that's alphabetical order.
- 4:18I always remember port and starboard.
- 4:23Oh, don't do this to me.
- 4:24Are those the two, though?
- 4:25Who among us could know the difference?
- 4:27It's left and right.
- 4:28It's alphabetical order in that one.
- 4:30But the two words are port and starboard, right?
- 4:32Why don't they just say stage right and stage left like everyone else?
- 4:35Yeah.
- 4:36Like when I'm giving directions to someone when they're lost,
- 4:39I'm like, go up to the light, take a stage left.
- 4:42And then when you hit to the stop sign, take a stage right.
- 4:46Yeah.
- 4:47Uh, and if you find yourself downstage, you've gone too far.
- 4:52Um, yeah, no, but those are alphabetical order too.
- 4:56Um, port and starboard left, right.
- 5:00So good for us.
- 5:03Good for us.
- 5:04Good for the alphabet.
- 5:05Good for literacy.
- 5:06Yeah.
- 5:07Quick interruption.
- 5:09Every week on the podcast, we do something where our producer Joe gives Francis and I
- 5:15each our own secret word. Throughout the course of the podcast, we need to find a way to slip the
- 5:23secret word into our conversation without the other person noticing. If the other person can
- 5:28correctly guess the secret word, they get a point. And right before we die, we add up all the points.
- 5:36And then we get a prize, whoever has the most points for guessing the most secret words.
- 5:42Here's Joe with today's secret words.
- 5:45Jenna's secret word is schmooze.
- 5:49Jenna's decoy word is railroads.
- 5:52Francis's secret word is improvised.
- 5:55Francis's decoy word is yikes.
- 5:59Back to the pod.
- 6:01A, B, C, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, R, B.
- 6:04You know what else is in alphabetical order?
- 6:08The alphabet?
- 6:10Technically.
- 6:11Yes, that's true.
- 6:12It's a good point.
- 6:14i o t w invention of the week
- 6:20inventions
- 6:24oh that was smooth
- 6:28wow you know what isn't in alphabetical order sexy which is what that transition was
- 6:39Jenna that was impressive
- 6:40thank you I've been studying the alphabet
- 6:43for most of my life waiting
- 6:45and it's finally paid off
- 6:46did you just come up with that on the cuff?
- 6:48I did
- 6:48are you serious?
- 6:50why am I so impressed by this?
- 6:52I don't know it's not that impressive
- 6:53Joe hail your sister
- 6:55you just improvised that
- 6:56I did
- 6:58isn't that kind of my job?
- 7:03I'm just amazed
- 7:04Francis you know this podcast
- 7:07is all improv right?
- 7:09You know we don't
- 7:11Not all of it
- 7:11Welcome to Verified Friends, a podcast where friends talk about stuff
- 7:16That's a script
- 7:17So you guys haven't been reading the scripts that I've been sending you
- 7:20Sorry Joe, I've just been really busy
- 7:23Maybe if you put them in alphabetical order
- 7:24It'd be easier to digest
- 7:25He did, the first episode is called A
- 7:28The second one is B
- 7:30Guys, we're past 26 episodes
- 7:33I don't know what to do anymore
- 7:34A-A, B-B
- 7:36Yeah
- 7:38All right, Francis, lay it on me.
- 7:44You want me to lay on you?
- 7:45Yes.
- 7:46Okay.
- 7:47Coming right up, sister.
- 7:50You want an invention?
- 7:51I would love one.
- 7:52Thank you.
- 7:54Okay.
- 7:56I had one, and I'm going to communicate it to you and Joe in the audience at large.
- 8:03Okay.
- 8:03Okay.
- 8:03the invention of the week
- 8:06this week
- 8:07has to do with
- 8:09um
- 8:10you seem like you're stalling for time
- 8:13the invention of the week this week
- 8:15which is the week that we're in
- 8:18currently
- 8:18okay um here it is
- 8:21okay
- 8:22the invention of the week this week
- 8:25is
- 8:26stop okay
- 8:29stop it
- 8:30okay so remember how I came up with that
- 8:33invention where you can eat whatever you want and then it goes into a tube yes like the little
- 8:39proprietary valve system you switch it off and it goes into the yeah you remember i remember of
- 8:44course i remember i love that i'm wearing one right now i thought you looked thin deprived of
- 8:50nutrients yeah um i have a uh i have a better i have a better way oh well you're one upping your
- 9:00previous invention? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I'm one-upping it.
- 9:04Now forget it. I have a new invention. Here it is.
- 9:07I've talked to you about this before. I see if you remember. It wasn't on pod, but
- 9:12I was thinking about it today. I'm like, this is a great idea. Okay. Let me tell you a story, Joe.
- 9:16One time I came to visit Jenna and it was
- 9:20really hot. It was the middle of summer. I know. I remember this one.
- 9:23And she didn't come to the door for a long time. I didn't know you were at the door already.
- 9:28sweating and finally she i was about to go back to the car but then i didn't and then she finally
- 9:32came to the door and i was like sweating all over i think it was like one minute i don't think it
- 9:37was like a really long it makes it sound like you were out there for like 15 minutes well it's better
- 9:41for the invention if it was longer okay could have been an hour anyway i was stalling because i was
- 9:48trying to remember this just so you know okay so there i admit it i was stalling see proof that
- 9:54it's improv people yeah see it's not always fast we didn't read joe's script
- 9:58all right right here it is my invention do you know how sometimes you go to your friend's house
- 10:06and she doesn't answer the door for upwards of an hour it's not do i know it i don't know that
- 10:11you know how the world is hot i do know that and sometimes cold i do know that you know how we like
- 10:19to wait in comfort?
- 10:21I do know that.
- 10:22Well, tighten your bra
- 10:23because you are about
- 10:25to be amazed.
- 10:26Oh, I just went back
- 10:27one hook.
- 10:28Go on.
- 10:28Oh, they're high.
- 10:29Yeah, thank you.
- 10:31Here's my invention.
- 10:32I just had my handmaiden
- 10:33pull my corset tighter.
- 10:35Wow, I didn't know
- 10:36it could go any tighter.
- 10:38My ribs are cracking
- 10:39under the pressure.
- 10:41My invention has a handmaid
- 10:43who knows how to do her job.
- 10:44No.
- 10:46Here it is.
- 10:49You push a button.
- 10:53Not a button, a doorbell.
- 10:55This is ridiculous.
- 10:59The button of the house.
- 11:03Similar to the lady of the house.
- 11:05Oh, yes.
- 11:05The button of the house.
- 11:08There's only one button on a house.
- 11:09Like when you were a child and you used to pretend to be the button of the house?
- 11:15That's a deep cut.
- 11:16Only true fans will appreciate it.
- 11:17Real ones don't.
- 11:18Yeah.
- 11:19sorry go on
- 11:21you push the button of the house
- 11:23when you're pushing the button
- 11:28when you push the button
- 11:29depending on if it's summer or winter
- 11:31there's a vent over the door
- 11:33that opens
- 11:35and it blows whatever temperature
- 11:38of air is going on in the house
- 11:39on you so you can wait in comfort
- 11:41so if it's summertime
- 11:43it blows the AC on you while you wait
- 11:45if it's winter time it blows the heat on you while you wait
- 11:47and that's about it okay yes i remember this invention and i remember you inventing it
- 11:58i still don't maintain that i was that gone for that long or not at the door that much but
- 12:03um it's not about that it is to me it's about pride i don't leave my guests
- 12:09hanging at the door this was the one time that i was like
- 12:12it was hot it was hot it was a scorcher it was a scorcher weatherman said it was a scorcher
- 12:19and you don't dress for the weather you dress to impress so thanks yeah so which i appreciate
- 12:25by the way screw the weather screw the weather um and me because i'm at it yep not in that order
- 12:35this is not a snuggle smuggle situation do it the other way um i
- 12:42don't think this is a bad idea this is i uh the only thing i could see being a problem would be
- 12:51someone pressing the button of the house over and over and over again no no no that wouldn't work
- 12:58because it has to be tied to the doorbell like my doorbell i don't think works
- 13:02it's like i don't think it makes any noise well here's what we're gonna do about that okay we can
- 13:07retrofit it for for an existing home we'll put a new doorbell in and connect it right our qualified
- 13:15technicians can handle that for you don't have to do anything but if it's a new build it goes in
- 13:20as a new build so we have ways of solving all of these problems but but nothing but okay so but
- 13:28What I'm saying is, if you press the button in my house, nothing happens.
- 13:34So how do I, if the sound breaks, how do you know you're not going to get someone out there just stealing your AC?
- 13:40Well, so it's also going to be connected to an app.
- 13:44Okay.
- 13:45And also, it's kind of like, you know when you hit the crosswalk button?
- 13:48Yeah.
- 13:49It doesn't happen any faster because you hit it ten times.
- 13:51It activates.
- 13:53I just like hearing them go, wait.
- 13:55Oh, I can do it.
- 13:55Hold on.
- 13:56Yeah.
- 13:57Wait.
- 13:58yeah pretty good thanks wait oh wow you're just as good nice new skill unlocked we should go to
- 14:08crosswalks and do that then can we make the clicking noise for when it like turns to walk
- 14:13and accidentally trick people can i hear your version of it uh
- 14:17that's not good that's not it that's better than i could do mine was gonna be more high-pitched
- 14:23uh we could then get we could trick people into crossing the street when their car is coming
- 14:28And watch their body parts fly off their body when they get hit.
- 14:31Or say, wait when they're in the middle of the crosswalk.
- 14:34And then they just stop.
- 14:35And they're just like, what do we do?
- 14:37Oh, the light rail's coming.
- 14:38Oh my God, I wish I was in front of a house with a button I could push.
- 14:42Back to the invention.
- 14:45Anyway, so it's only going to happen once, okay?
- 14:50And then it's like on a timer.
- 14:53So for max, it'll be like five minutes.
- 14:55this seems like it will use a lot of energy
- 14:58though because
- 15:00to blast
- 15:02the outside with air conditioned
- 15:04air or heat
- 15:06it's going to have to be its own unit
- 15:08you want it separate from your
- 15:11just sounds like more incentive
- 15:12for lazy bones like you
- 15:15to get to the door faster
- 15:16and let their guests in
- 15:17oh no all the energy is being used
- 15:21I better hurry up
- 15:21I better run from my basement up to the main level
- 15:24here's the thing
- 15:25They have devices, like heaters and coolers, so they do both.
- 15:34So it could just be one new thing that's right over the front door.
- 15:39It's not connected to your AC.
- 15:41You know what I mean?
- 15:42Okay.
- 15:42So it's the equivalent of turning on your bedside bed jet.
- 15:47Okay.
- 15:49And people will love it.
- 15:50And their hair will stay done, and their makeup will stay done.
- 15:54What's a bed jet?
- 15:55Oh, bed jets are nice.
- 15:57I have one.
- 15:57You don't know?
- 15:58You don know It this um uh you know how you like bed You know you like jets No it this like heating and cooling system for your bed
- 16:12So you put a little hose at the bottom of your bed,
- 16:17and then you can adjust the air temperature,
- 16:21either cold in the summer or hot in the winter.
- 16:27And it has a little remote and a timer,
- 16:28and yeah.
- 16:30Nice.
- 16:31It has a little remote
- 16:32and a timer.
- 16:33Delayed reaction.
- 16:37It's wintery time now.
- 16:39I like before bed
- 16:41turning it on
- 16:42for like 30 minutes
- 16:42and get my tootsies
- 16:43nice and toasty
- 16:44and then fall asleep.
- 16:48And then the summer
- 16:49is air conditioning
- 16:49for your bed.
- 16:50Who doesn't love
- 16:51some toasted tootsies?
- 16:52I do.
- 16:54We didn't when we were
- 16:54eating John Malkovich.
- 16:55and
- 16:57Dorothy Michaels
- 16:59who's that? Tootsie
- 17:01the movie
- 17:02don't get me warm
- 17:06anyway
- 17:10Dustin Hoffman is that you?
- 17:12now I am a woman who is proud to be cold
- 17:14okay so then if it's
- 17:18own separate unit then also
- 17:20the other problem I was worried about
- 17:22is having vents that open in the house
- 17:24Like you don't want to have any extra like sealed off.
- 17:27So this is like a sealed off thing.
- 17:29Totally separate.
- 17:30And here's a fun part.
- 17:31If you don't want the guest there, you can, on your app, crank it the other direction.
- 17:36So extra heat?
- 17:37Yeah.
- 17:38If it's hot out?
- 17:39Yeah.
- 17:40So you're getting rid of unwanted visitors?
- 17:42Yeah.
- 17:44It's just a quick button, like enemy.
- 17:46It just says enemy.
- 17:48And you push it and then it really fucks with them.
- 17:51That's the button of the phone.
- 17:52Yeah.
- 17:53Yeah.
- 17:54you love that part huh the enemy button yeah um i i gotta be honest i don't love that it's
- 18:04connected to an app because i like to keep things is there a way to do this data free
- 18:09yeah the uh it can be like a little screen on your next to your front door so you don't use
- 18:15your phone just like it's just software it's like a computer okay so it could still be like a closed
- 18:20circuit so i could be standing on the other side of the door just an enemy enemy enemy all right i
- 18:24like that yeah um i would definitely oh could it say enemy too as it's getting hotter outside enemy
- 18:33wait here's the thing i didn't tell you before it also comes with a pneumatic tube like the
- 18:40old-fashioned banks oh i love a good pneumatic tube right so people are there to like give you
- 18:44something or like literature you could be like just put it in the tube and um no jenna
- 18:52writing it down
- 18:54you could just put it in the tube
- 18:56and it's funny because if you don't want it
- 18:58you've already hit the enemy button
- 19:00so if you want the mail
- 19:02it comes into your house but if you hit enemy
- 19:04it goes up and back in their face
- 19:06that would be so funny
- 19:09it would be funny
- 19:09yeah it reminds me of like a cartoony thing
- 19:15is it a cartoony
- 19:19where like letters go flying out
- 19:22at somebody's face.
- 19:22Yeah, yeah.
- 19:23I've seen that in a cartoon.
- 19:24Okay.
- 19:24Yeah.
- 19:24I like that.
- 19:26I don't want this male.
- 19:27Enemy.
- 19:29This male's my enemy.
- 19:31This male's my enemy.
- 19:34Do you apologize
- 19:37at the pod for that?
- 19:39Do you have a name
- 19:41for this invention?
- 19:46Nope.
- 19:47Oh, Joe?
- 19:48Buds of the house.
- 19:49you could make it a button
- 19:52separate from the doorbell
- 19:54you could
- 19:55but what if they were too stupid to push it
- 19:58that's on them I guess
- 19:59and what do they do
- 20:01then they are my enemy
- 20:03what do they do in visiting my house
- 20:05what about
- 20:06something about welcome
- 20:08welcome Matt
- 20:11welcome
- 20:11cool welcome
- 20:14welcome
- 20:15comfort
- 20:17warm welcome
- 20:23warm welcome
- 20:26oh joe
- 20:30warm welcome
- 20:32I love it
- 20:34oh yes
- 20:41alright
- 20:42to joe
- 20:43to joe
- 20:44joe say it
- 20:46to Joe.
- 20:50Wow.
- 20:52You're making Joe schmooze himself?
- 20:55Yeah.
- 20:56That was great.
- 20:58That was really good.
- 20:59That's nice, though.
- 21:01That was good.
- 21:02Okay, I don't even think we need to workshop any other names.
- 21:04Hell to the now.
- 21:06Warm Welcome
- 21:06is probably available now.
- 21:11Everyone's going to want...
- 21:12I mean, I would want this.
- 21:13I know you would.
- 21:16You'd want it for me, at least.
- 21:17Yeah.
- 21:19Yeah, my only concern is that people are going to abuse it.
- 21:21They're going to come up and they're going to like...
- 21:23It doesn't do anything after the first push.
- 21:26And they only have a maximum of five minutes.
- 21:30Wait, so someone pushes it and then they got...
- 21:31Then people would be congregating at your door.
- 21:34Like, I live near a high school and the high school students,
- 21:38like, they, like, walk in the neighborhood once school is out.
- 21:43and I can totally see like when it's hot outside
- 21:46some punk high school
- 21:48kid just standing in my doorway
- 21:49pressing the button and five minutes of air
- 21:51just like hanging out in my doorway
- 21:53and I'm not going to abuse it
- 21:57high school kids wouldn't do that
- 21:59you're right
- 22:00they have somewhere to go
- 22:02home
- 22:02they're going to be doing that
- 22:06on the buttons of their own house
- 22:08plus you can also alter it
- 22:12to be like
- 22:13not that comfortable
- 22:14but more comfortable
- 22:15than the air.
- 22:16It's like gonna be like
- 22:17super ice cold
- 22:18if you want.
- 22:18You could make it.
- 22:20I just realized
- 22:21is this something
- 22:21that they do
- 22:22in office buildings?
- 22:23Like you know
- 22:23when there's like
- 22:24sliding doors
- 22:24and then you walk in
- 22:25and then there's air
- 22:26like blowing down
- 22:27at you?
- 22:28No, that's not a joke.
- 22:29That's not what they do.
- 22:31They blow air
- 22:32to stop bugs
- 22:34from coming in.
- 22:35It's not to keep you cool.
- 22:36Oh.
- 22:37And it's only while
- 22:37you're walking through it.
- 22:38This is my thing.
- 22:40This isn't Sam's Club.
- 22:42Okay.
- 22:43I invented this.
- 22:46Okay.
- 22:47Yeah, Sam, you piece of shit.
- 22:49This isn't yours.
- 22:51This is Francis's.
- 22:52Yeah, no, I was saying because I invented Sam's Club that one time.
- 22:55Yeah.
- 22:56Well, Sam invented it, but then you reinvented it.
- 23:01I just want to be someone.
- 23:04All right, well, good.
- 23:06Well, warm welcome.
- 23:07Definitely, it's available now.
- 23:10Go to veryfinefriends.com.
- 23:12And nowhere else.
- 23:13Oh, no, you can't get this anywhere else.
- 23:15We might allow Costco to sell.
- 23:17But not Sam's Club.
- 23:19No, after what they did to me passively through no action of their own.
- 23:23That's the worst kind of action.
- 23:25At least if someone takes active action, you know.
- 23:30They're thinking of you.
- 23:31Well, yeah, and it's like they had to put in a little bit of work and, you know.
- 23:35But passive action?
- 23:36Boo.
- 23:38Mm-hmm.
- 23:39All right, well, that wraps up.
- 23:43another invention of the week.
- 23:46And a successful one too, I think.
- 23:48Totes agrees.
- 23:51Degrees of welcome.
- 23:52Yours was way better, but I wish I said
- 23:54degrees of welcome first.
- 23:56Oh, just to get it out there.
- 23:58Yeah.
- 23:59But then Joe had to come in and
- 24:01just steal the show.
- 24:04Joe's pony was combed, that's for sure.
- 24:08What?
- 24:10You know, like in horse shows?
- 24:11Is that a phrase?
- 24:14No, I just came up with it.
- 24:17Okay.
- 24:18You know, like, you want to ride the most combed pony.
- 24:26Okay.
- 24:27Well, on that note, it's time for our next segment.
- 24:32Excuse me?
- 24:36That's it.
- 24:37Nailed it.
- 24:38Thank you.
- 24:41Um, excuse me.
- 24:47In this segment, we're going to be asking each other for favors, and I don't know, we might, we maybe, we will be able to help each other, maybe we won't.
- 24:57We'll just see.
- 24:59Yeah, we'll just see.
- 25:01Hey, Francis.
- 25:02Hey, Jenna.
- 25:04Could you do me, like, a huge, huge favor?
- 25:07What is it?
- 25:09I have, I have, I'm having a bunch of people over for a fancy dinner and I need to stuff a turkey.
- 25:20Could you, could you help me stuff a turkey?
- 25:23Can I help you stuff a turkey?
- 25:25Yeah, if you wouldn't mind, that'd be like a huge help.
- 25:28I really grab the giblets.
- 25:31I would.
- 25:33However, and I know you couldn't possibly have known this.
- 25:39I met a turkey once.
- 25:42Oh, yeah.
- 25:43Oh, so you're intimately familiar with turkeys,
- 25:45so this should be great for you.
- 25:47Yeah, except I was in the woods and I was out of water
- 25:49and I thought I was going to die, and I screamed out,
- 25:51Lord, help.
- 25:54And the turkey came.
- 25:57And the turkey had a translator.
- 26:01Okay.
- 26:01I don't mean like a person, I mean like a device.
- 26:04Oh, sure.
- 26:05And it communicated with me and actually led me to safety.
- 26:08so I couldn't possibly touch the giblets of a turkey
- 26:12after what it's done for me.
- 26:14I married a turkey after that.
- 26:16Oh, wow.
- 26:17Yeah, so what you're asking is...
- 26:19Well, and I forgot to mention this is the turkey that you married,
- 26:23so that would probably be awkward.
- 26:26I understand.
- 26:27My heart's broken and my tears are streaming, but I can't.
- 26:31Well, if you could just put your eyeballs over the turkey,
- 26:34it would help brine the turkey, the tears will.
- 26:37I can't
- 26:39I told you I was married to a turkey
- 26:41now I'm single
- 26:42I'm not going to touch the gaveless of my dead spouse
- 26:46okay
- 26:47alright
- 26:48I guess I'll stuff that bird myself
- 26:52I'm calling the police
- 26:53bye
- 26:54hey Jenna
- 26:55do you have a second?
- 26:59can I talk to you?
- 26:59oh sure
- 27:00I was injured
- 27:06You can probably tell most of my arms are in full body casts.
- 27:09Yeah, I can see that.
- 27:09I can't do anything with them.
- 27:11Touchdown.
- 27:13That's so funny.
- 27:14That is funny.
- 27:14That's a good one.
- 27:15I'd high five you, but I can't move.
- 27:17I can come to you.
- 27:19Oh, nice.
- 27:20Ow.
- 27:21I was wondering, could you take my socks and shoes off and rub my feet?
- 27:30Because the doctor said that the muscles are going to atrophy in my foot.
- 27:33and just so you know on one of my feet i only have a big toe and a pinky you think it would
- 27:39look weird but it's kind of cool um it's not a touchdown situation so uh wait so you your feet
- 27:47are going to atrophy because your arms are in casts because i can't move because the cast actually is
- 27:52is is fastened at the base of my spine it's hard to explain because you probably are
- 27:59not versed in I'm castless final lore yeah yeah um anyway I'm ready uh I I would um except uh
- 28:12when I was um you know when kindergarten like they get you early with those like
- 28:18those dare to keep kids off drugs pledges or whatever where they have you like sign stuff
- 28:24um yeah yeah i know um well i they got me early with a different kind of pledge
- 28:30i signed one of those um i i signed a thing where i'm not allowed to touch toes except for outside
- 28:40of the context of doing this little piggy went to market and it has to be just for that like you
- 28:45can't use that as an excuse to touch toes it's like the the contract is like it's it's airtight
- 28:52I've had lawyers look at it and I just, I'm sorry, I can't.
- 28:55Are you lying?
- 28:56No, I'm not.
- 28:56This is dead serious.
- 28:57Do you want me to pull out the contract?
- 28:59I have the contract right here.
- 29:01Yeah, show it to me.
- 29:02Yeah, it's right here.
- 29:02Why do you have it with you?
- 29:04Because I carry it with me everywhere because people are constantly asking me to touch their toes.
- 29:08Okay.
- 29:08And I'm sorry.
- 29:09I just, I can't do it right now.
- 29:11I'm sorry.
- 29:12until I can track down that little piggy winter market dealer
- 29:18that came to our school that long ago.
- 29:23I'm just stuck.
- 29:24I'm sorry.
- 29:25Is there any exception for a touchdown feed?
- 29:27Oh, no, no.
- 29:28It's actually specifically it says after official review,
- 29:34the ruling on the field is reversed, no touchdown.
- 29:37Okay, I guess I'll just.
- 29:38They made it whimsy.
- 29:39I don't know why they made it whimsical, but they did,
- 29:41and it still holds up in court.
- 29:43What school did you go to?
- 29:44Okay, well, you're the only neighbor around here for 10 miles,
- 29:47so I guess I'll just...
- 29:49I'm sorry, just lose those feet then, I guess.
- 29:51I mean, who's going to know, though, is my question.
- 29:55I also signed a thing where I'm constantly under surveillance.
- 29:59It was weird that they had a six-year-old do this,
- 30:00but it's legally binding, so I would, but I can't.
- 30:08I'm sorry.
- 30:08it's it's the difference between you having feet and me going to jail so i'm real sorry i could bail
- 30:15you out no it's specifically a no bail how starting ow well oh my toes good luck with that buddy help
- 30:25oh i just gotta write something in my diary jenna is a bitch uh sorry i can't help uh
- 30:33Who am I supposed to hear that?
- 30:35I actually have a favor.
- 30:37I was hoping to ask both of you guys.
- 30:38Oh, okay.
- 30:41I'm doing an adult recorder recital just for fun.
- 30:48I joined a group, and we're having our concert in a couple weeks,
- 30:53and everyone in the class is going to invite their parents to be there.
- 30:58but obviously I can't invite my parents because they're both deathly allergic to hearing the
- 31:05recorder. Yeah. So I was wondering if you guys could attend the adult recorder recital.
- 31:13What night is it? Thursday. Oh, I can't, I can't do it Thursday. I, um, I, I'm sorry. I,
- 31:25I, that's the day that I promised the mayor, he's got this huge project where he wants to turn all the roads into railroads so that people don't get to car wrecks.
- 31:43And I promised I would help him lay the track.
- 31:46I'm so sorry.
- 31:47I didn't know you were the mayor.
- 31:48I, oh, yeah.
- 31:49Yeah, we're, he thinks we're closer than we actually are.
- 31:55Like, he thinks I'm one of his best friends.
- 31:57He kind of annoys me a little bit, if we're being quite honest.
- 32:01But whatever, I made this promise.
- 32:03Why are you laying track for him then if he annoys you Because he asked me he gave me this special honor of throwing out the very first pitch the ceremonial pitch at the local farm league team game
- 32:24And the whole town was there.
- 32:27And right before he handed me the ball and I was already committed to this and I was really excited to throw out that ceremonial first pitch,
- 32:32he looked at me and he's like but before we throw this pitch everybody I want you to know
- 32:39Jenna is amazing she's offered to lay down track to make all of our roads railroads
- 32:48and she's doing it Thursday and there's no getting out of it everyone give Jenna a big
- 32:54round of applause so the whole town basically he committed me in front of everybody and I can't get
- 32:59out of it because then it's like then i'm because the town's really excited for this project and so
- 33:05otherwise otherwise i'd be there for sure i would totally be there but francis can probably go
- 33:12yikes um here's the thing when i was a child i was in an accident that involved my tongue
- 33:23and it stopped the ability of my tongue to produce moisture.
- 33:31And see how dry that was?
- 33:34And all I wanted to do as a child was to play the recorder
- 33:39and I was about to before the accident.
- 33:43Then I couldn't.
- 33:44Also, it stopped my lips from being able to do the perfect recorder shape.
- 33:49So I'm in therapy now for recorder jealousy.
- 33:53And although I've made significant progress,
- 33:57I'm not ready to see people living my dream,
- 34:02especially adults, with a recorder.
- 34:05Because I'm sure you have a nice plastic one.
- 34:07I actually collect them still.
- 34:09I go home every night and I touch them.
- 34:11And sometimes I hire sex workers to play the recorder.
- 34:17And then go home.
- 34:18But I'm not ready to see you doing it as a hobby.
- 34:21no Francis I have good news for you
- 34:23I spoke with your therapist just this morning
- 34:26and your therapist said
- 34:29it's time for some exposure therapy
- 34:31and that going to record her
- 34:34exposure therapy
- 34:35that so
- 34:37she can't talk about me like that
- 34:39that was a violation of my medical records
- 34:41no no remember you signed over
- 34:43power of attorney to me
- 34:45oh yeah
- 34:47after the turkey incident you said
- 34:49you didn't want to be responsible for yourself anymore
- 34:51I didn't think you were going to abuse it like this.
- 34:54That's not abuse.
- 34:55I'm helping you, see?
- 34:56You wouldn't have gone,
- 34:57and this is clearly the most important thing
- 34:58that could help you right now.
- 35:01Oh, you're right.
- 35:02You said it's at a school, though?
- 35:06Yeah.
- 35:08This is kind of a funny story.
- 35:10I accidentally, I was picking up my nephew from school one day,
- 35:14but I forgot what he looked like,
- 35:15and I accidentally abducted the wrong kid.
- 35:17As a result, I'm not allowed to go there.
- 35:21Well, I actually spoke to the police.
- 35:25The statute of limitations is up on that abduction
- 35:28because the child is now over the age of 18,
- 35:30and he got a big laugh out of it.
- 35:32So as an adult, he signed a waiver saying,
- 35:35no, no, no, in retrospect, that wasn't an abduction.
- 35:38So you're free to be near schools again.
- 35:41And Jenna greased the mayor a little bit too.
- 35:44Oh, my God, thank you for saying mayor.
- 35:46You just reminded me of the mayor's head was blown off this morning.
- 35:49I forgot to tell you.
- 35:51Oh, no.
- 35:52So your afternoon just cleared up.
- 35:55Oh, no, because I helped the mayor draft his will,
- 35:59and he said in the event of my untimely death,
- 36:02nothing is more important to me than making the roads railroads.
- 36:08So I can't, and he's putting it in his will that no matter what,
- 36:14on Thursday, this project must go on.
- 36:17Oh, that's lucky.
- 36:18no it's really very unlucky for the mayor
- 36:21yeah well he was unpopular
- 36:23and it's unlucky for me
- 36:25because I want to go to your recorder concert
- 36:26I really want to
- 36:28oh boy
- 36:29you know what I literally
- 36:31just this moment
- 36:32remembered
- 36:34tell me
- 36:37I just remembered
- 36:39that I had
- 36:41I don't know if you know this but I've had prophetic dreams
- 36:43in the past I try not to
- 36:44put too much stock in them
- 36:47but
- 36:47they all come true. And last night, I dreamed that if I hear a recorder, my eardrums will explode
- 36:57and as will my eyes and as will my eardrums of one friend who's unknown to me.
- 37:05Could be any one of you. So to protect you and me.
- 37:11No, I mean, I get it. I told you my parents are deathly allergic to hearing the sound of recorders.
- 37:16They're the same way.
- 37:18Proof of my dream.
- 37:21Sure.
- 37:24Well.
- 37:25Look, I know you two would never lie to me.
- 37:27No.
- 37:28If you can't make it, I know it's because you tried to move heaven and hell, but you couldn't make it work.
- 37:35And it's fine.
- 37:36I understand.
- 37:37Thank you.
- 37:38Good friend.
- 37:39Good man.
- 37:39Jolly good man.
- 37:42Hey, Jenna and Joe.
- 37:44Yeah.
- 37:44I am doing this pyramid scheme
- 37:48where I have to sign up to donate my organs
- 37:54and I only get the money
- 37:58we're selling them now
- 37:59if I get two friends to agree to donate their organs as well
- 38:04don't worry though, it's after you die
- 38:06so no harm on you
- 38:09I'm sure you're eager to help out a lot of people
- 38:12So just sign here and we'll be good.
- 38:15Ooh, I would.
- 38:18But I, here's the thing.
- 38:22No.
- 38:25You know Stephen Hawking?
- 38:28Uh-huh.
- 38:30He's dead.
- 38:31I know, I know.
- 38:32Well, only kind of.
- 38:35They're keeping him on ice.
- 38:37and I promise to donate everything to him already when I die.
- 38:45They're going to reanimate Stephen Hawking.
- 38:48But do you really think one person should get all your organs?
- 38:51Do you think it's fair to spread it out?
- 38:52Yes, because then it's better if it's just all from one person.
- 38:57I'm sorry.
- 38:58He explained it when he was still alive.
- 39:01He said it way better and more mechanically.
- 39:05But I would, but I can't because they're already problems.
- 39:08Because you, okay.
- 39:09I can't really argue with that, but I will say he was actually my godfather, Stephen Hawking.
- 39:18And right before he was cryogenically frozen, he told me that he would never take the organs of a woman.
- 39:28He was a huge misogynist.
- 39:31Yes, yes.
- 39:32It actually, he even said the phrase to me last resort.
- 39:35So I know you're doing something noble, but I couldn't let, I couldn't let you go forward
- 39:42knowing he didn't really want them.
- 39:43So now that you know, he doesn't really want them and there's other people that are going
- 39:46to be way more grateful.
- 39:48I'm sure you're going to change your mind.
- 39:49Here's the thing though.
- 39:51He thought that I was a man because I was doing a Victor Victoria thing.
- 39:54and it's been my dream to successfully trick a misogynist into taking my organs even though
- 40:03I'm a lady and so if I don't put them inside Stephen Hawking then I my dream won't be fulfilled
- 40:15and then but then they'll all then everything inside of me actually dies anyway and then none
- 40:22of it's usable so I have to fulfill this
- 40:24dream
- 40:24I'm so sorry I can't
- 40:28don't feel bad about this
- 40:29you know how it is it's a Victor Victoria thing I gotta do it
- 40:32I understand
- 40:34but what you don't know is that
- 40:35as he lay dying I had a
- 40:38ruler and a
- 40:40body measuring tape and
- 40:41I measured
- 40:44his organ cavities
- 40:46and yours are just not gonna fit
- 40:47they don't fit
- 40:49they don't fit
- 40:51here's the other thing though
- 40:54is that
- 40:57his insides are made of rubber
- 41:02naturally
- 41:03so they can expand and contract as needed to fit
- 41:07oh I forgot all British people's internal organ cavities are
- 41:10was he British? I don't know
- 41:11it's hard to tell without an accent
- 41:14it's hard to tell
- 41:16so
- 41:19but Joe could probably do it
- 41:23oh okay
- 41:23hey Joe
- 41:24you're cool right
- 41:26one person is better than no people
- 41:28I'm sure I can still get some points
- 41:29alright
- 41:31alright
- 41:33there you go
- 41:34wait
- 41:34are you implying with your accent
- 41:36that your organs are rubbery
- 41:38or what are we doing here
- 41:39yeah
- 41:40I feel him snishing and strushing in there right now
- 41:44well there was no
- 41:45there was no um
- 41:46hey I got a yes
- 41:48Why am I fighting a yes?
- 41:49I don't know.
- 41:49God bless you.
- 41:51Well, I guess when you get a yes, that's the end of Excuse Me.
- 42:02Oh!
- 42:04Consider yourself excused.
- 42:07Well, sorry about that, Frances, but I'd love to help you out, but I just couldn't have.
- 42:12So, anyway.
- 42:13It's not your fault.
- 42:14You're selfish with your organs.
- 42:15No, I'm very specifically not
- 42:18You're giving him all to one person
- 42:20Yeah, sorry
- 42:21It's okay
- 42:22Oh, just in, his body was burned into a cryogenic facility fire
- 42:26But hey, what do I know?
- 42:29I'm just some godson
- 42:30Yeah, well, I guess we'll never know
- 42:33Unless, and we'll never find out the answer
- 42:36Unless, for whatever reason, that's the big question
- 42:41the question is very big oh i hope it's not the big question i also don't have one i hope you
- 42:54this is the point in the show every week where i go um francis please tell me you have a big question
- 42:59yep okay that side to side eye look i do though i do you know how some people get murdered i do
- 43:10know that yeah i was thinking you know that film a perfect murder with michael douglas and gwyneth
- 43:16paltrow yes i did see it i'm trying to remember it all you need to know is he plotted to have his
- 43:23wife murdered okay i was thinking yeah what would you do if you found out that your spouse and i
- 43:35knew your spouse would never do this but hypothetically yeah if you're married to a
- 43:39different man. Okay. A monster
- 43:41man. Yeah. And you found out he wanted
- 43:43to, he had a plot to murder you.
- 43:45A turkey even.
- 43:49A turkey with giblets even.
- 43:51How would you
- 43:52counteract his murder plan
- 43:54and murder him instead?
- 44:00Okay.
- 44:01Do I know what the plan is?
- 44:03You just know he hired a hitman.
- 44:06Okay.
- 44:08Yikes.
- 44:08am I right?
- 44:09Ugh.
- 44:11Hitmen, boy.
- 44:12What are we gonna do?
- 44:13Are they still around?
- 44:14Yeah, they are.
- 44:15Necessary evil.
- 44:17You know, that's what I think.
- 44:19Are they?
- 44:19You know, quick aside,
- 44:21I used to play Grand Theft Auto
- 44:21when I was a kid.
- 44:22Yeah.
- 44:23And then one time I was like,
- 44:24oh, what do you want to be
- 44:24when you grow up?
- 44:24And I was like,
- 44:25I want to be an assassin.
- 44:26And he got so mad.
- 44:28Why?
- 44:29That's a lofty goal.
- 44:30Also, they're freelance.
- 44:31You have so much freedom.
- 44:32You can go anywhere.
- 44:33Yeah.
- 44:33You get to travel,
- 44:34see the world.
- 44:35Yeah, you're a 1099.
- 44:36Yeah.
- 44:37Yeah.
- 44:38You're like looking at the dolomites as you're like choking at someone.
- 44:41Yeah.
- 44:41Beautiful.
- 44:42Beautiful.
- 44:44Lovely weather that time of year.
- 44:47That time of year we didn't specify.
- 44:49Yep, correct.
- 44:51I only take contracts when the weather's good.
- 44:55Yeah, you're a snowbird assassin.
- 45:00That needs to be a movie immediately.
- 45:06Okay.
- 45:07Well, I'm...
- 45:10Okay.
- 45:12I would, first of all, get the hitman to work for me.
- 45:23I would tell him...
- 45:26The one who your husband hired?
- 45:28Yes.
- 45:28Yeah.
- 45:29I would find out about the hitman and I would be like, hitman, I got a deal for you.
- 45:34Wait, how'd you find out?
- 45:35oh i didn't know i didn't tell you how i found out okay i'm sorry i'm just so curious he um
- 45:40he uh
- 45:44left an outgoing recording message and um i had our app installed the one that records outgoing
- 45:55messages you know so you could know what you said later didn't we sell that on the pod we sold it
- 46:02on the pod and I thank god I can't remember anymore uh it was um drunk dial yeah so he I
- 46:13installed that on his phone and I cloned his phone because I I had a feeling he was up to something
- 46:21you know he's been distant I at first I just thought it was just run-of-the-mill cheating
- 46:25maybe a gambling habit.
- 46:28That'd be nice.
- 46:29Yeah, so that's why I installed the other app,
- 46:33the proximity alert one that you invented.
- 46:38Wife alert.
- 46:39Wife alert.
- 46:40You can tell how many hot people are around him.
- 46:42Yes.
- 46:45And then, so anyway, I had his phone totally monitored,
- 46:50and I hear his outgoing message
- 46:52where he lays the whole plot out in voicemail,
- 46:55like an idiot anyway with a price even I know but then he also says but I'm negotiable uh you can
- 47:04and so it's like okay well if he's negotiable then this hitman has got to be like yeah I'll
- 47:10he's probably negotiable too right so I contact the hitman I'm like hey sorry to deal with that
- 47:16moron. Here's what we're going to do. You work for me now. And we are going to put a hit on my
- 47:27husband instead. Here's how it's going to work. Well, you said this in person, not over the phone
- 47:32because you're smart. Oh yeah. I'm not an idiot. Yeah. No phones around, not even in. Yeah. But
- 47:38how'd you get ahold of the, did you wait for him to come and kill you or did you find him? I mean,
- 47:42I uh well with the wife alert I knew where they were when they finally did meet up in person you
- 47:48were right remember when you challenged my the flaw in my plan I know but it it tracked his phone
- 47:53and you were right it did work uh and hitman was hot so that thing was going off like crazy so
- 47:59I like wait till my husband left then I uh talked to the hitman I'm like first of all good news
- 48:07you hot because this thing was going off like crazy great news you hot Just in case you were wondering the app confirmed it And then he was like great I hate working with idiots
- 48:19You're clearly smarter than your husband.
- 48:21I'd rather kill him than you.
- 48:22Boom, bingo, bingo, bongo, we're in.
- 48:26And hot hit man to get over the dead husband.
- 48:30I mean, even if he said, no, I'm still going to kill you.
- 48:32Wouldn't it be nice to be killed by someone hot?
- 48:34Oh, yeah.
- 48:34Yeah, way better than being killed by just an average looking person.
- 48:39Some warty toad.
- 48:41So then I have this plan.
- 48:49I was like, okay, you look like you'd be a good master of disguise.
- 48:55And he's like, I am.
- 48:56That's part of my hitman MO is disguises.
- 49:01I've got spirit gum on me at all times.
- 49:03uh and so i was like i knew you would so i was like my husband is looking for a new therapist
- 49:11and he's like i got you covered i know i can see where you're going with this so
- 49:19i was like he has a crazy fear of clowns and his last therapist told him just try to avoid clowns
- 49:30like, and he's like, that doesn't help. I'm dreaming about clowns. It's getting weird.
- 49:36And anyway, so they're all around me all the time. I can't do anything about it. So you need
- 49:43to be the new therapist. So we set up a fake office, a therapist's office. The hit man
- 49:49dressed up. He looks very Freudian. Like he looks like Freud. Um, then my husband,
- 49:58so he kind of trusts him because my husband's like Stephen Hawking, also a misogynist.
- 50:03He had a previously, he had a lady therapist, didn't trust her. So now he's like, I know.
- 50:09So he comes home all excited and he's like, honey, you'll never guess my therapist, Austrian
- 50:14and a man like, just like Freud. And, um, so it was like, great, honey, great. And you should
- 50:21really like respect whatever he says and do whatever he says. So after like weeks and weeks
- 50:26go by of therapy, intensive therapy. Finally, uh, the hit man, uh, gets to the point where
- 50:32he convinces my husband to go to a circus and he takes my husband to a circus and there's like
- 50:41freaking out cause the clowns were around, but then he finally gets through it. And it's like
- 50:45every week he takes him to a circus again. And finally it's like getting better and better.
- 50:50and my husband's feeling better about being around clowns.
- 50:54And so finally the hitman, the Freudian hitman,
- 50:59he says, hey, you know what?
- 51:03You're almost completely cured.
- 51:06There's only one thing left for you to do.
- 51:12Get into the clown car with a bunch of clowns.
- 51:18And my husband's like, no, no, that's too much.
- 51:20They pack them into that clown car.
- 51:22I can't do it.
- 51:23I can't do it.
- 51:24And he's like, you can do it.
- 51:27You can.
- 51:28And you're going to.
- 51:29So my husband is like panicking, panicking, freaking out.
- 51:32But he's like, look, this is it.
- 51:34You could be cured after this.
- 51:36Did that female therapist ever promise to cure you?
- 51:38Ooh, bringing up the, yeah, that's smart.
- 51:40And so then my husband is like, no, you're right.
- 51:44We're doing this for the boys, for the men out there.
- 51:47Yeah, because he could have even said, oh, I talked to your female therapist
- 51:49and she didn't think you could do this.
- 51:52Oh, nice.
- 51:53Yeah.
- 51:53Yeah.
- 51:54Yeah.
- 51:54Just to really twist that knife.
- 51:56Yeah.
- 51:56So then the hitman was like, and also, you're doing this all on your own.
- 52:04And he was like, no, you've got to be there with me.
- 52:05And he's like, I can't be there with you.
- 52:07You've got to do this on your own.
- 52:09So my husband goes to the circus.
- 52:15That point in the circus, you know,
- 52:17when they ask for a volunteer to get to the clown car.
- 52:19Every circus does it.
- 52:23He raises his hand.
- 52:26And now what he doesn't know, head clown is my husband.
- 52:32Or not my husband, my hit man.
- 52:34Head clown is the hit man in new makeup.
- 52:38So he gets to choose.
- 52:39So there's all these like little kids like pick me, pick me.
- 52:41He's starting to love those things.
- 52:43Yeah, he's like finally like, oh, I'm coming around.
- 52:47so the hitman aka the clown now is like he does a slow point and he goes you he points at my
- 52:55husband my husband the spotlight comes on my husband and then my husband's like well i can't
- 52:59believe this actually like i'm gonna be doing this i'm gonna be doing this and then he gets
- 53:03he kind of reluctantly comes down and like everyone's cheering for him and he's like getting
- 53:07built up and he's like yeah i'm gonna do this i'm gonna make this work so then the head clown goes
- 53:14please you get in first we get in around you uh and so then my husband
- 53:20okay why does he say it seductively we get in around he's a hot hit man he can't turn it off
- 53:30okay he can't turn it off it's not his fault i don't i mean trust me you wouldn't want him to
- 53:35it's part of his training yeah uh so my husband gets in this tiny little like tiny little car
- 53:42and then the head clown's like,
- 53:45don't worry, I'll be right next to you.
- 53:47But head clown is the hitman.
- 53:51How did he manage that?
- 53:53He's a really good hitman.
- 53:55Inside his nose...
- 53:56No, you guys, I'm doing something.
- 53:59Inside his nose is...
- 54:03His red nose or his real nose?
- 54:06His red nose.
- 54:07Inside his red nose.
- 54:08His little fit nose?
- 54:09His...
- 54:10That nose?
- 54:12If you squeeze it, a little needle comes out.
- 54:20A little needle comes out.
- 54:21Needle?
- 54:22Yeah, like a tiny little needle comes out, and it's imperceptible.
- 54:26It's like real quick, like it punctures the skin, but it's got poison on the end of it.
- 54:31And so all the clowns are packed into the car, and it's all real close.
- 54:37My husband's right next to the hitman.
- 54:38And then the hitman says, the car won't start.
- 54:42Until you squeeze my nose.
- 54:45So my husband, he's in it now.
- 54:47He's like, I've got to do this.
- 54:48I've got to prove that female therapist wrong.
- 54:50So he grabs the clown nose, honks it, makes the noise.
- 54:56Huh?
- 54:59His skin is punctured, but he doesn't feel it.
- 55:01Because of the adrenaline.
- 55:02Yes.
- 55:03And now the thing about the poison that's in this is it's a slow-acting poison.
- 55:07And at first, it creates this sense of euphoria.
- 55:12And so then my husband is on top of the world.
- 55:14It's a proprietary poison.
- 55:17He's very good.
- 55:20He's on top of the world and he's in this clown car and the clown car is going around the rings of the circus.
- 55:25And everyone's cheering and laughing and then they all get out of the car.
- 55:30And my husband and the head clown, a.k.a. the hitman, he gives my husband his big moment.
- 55:35And he's like, and a big thanks, a big thanks to Richard or Dick, as I call him.
- 55:42big thanks to Richard.
- 55:44And then Richard's standing there with his arms up
- 55:46and he's like, I can't believe it.
- 55:47I did it.
- 55:47I did it.
- 55:48I'm cured.
- 55:48I'm euphoric.
- 55:51And then, so he gets into his car
- 55:54and he's rushing home.
- 55:59And he's rushing home to come tell me what happened.
- 56:05And he's still feeling euphoric,
- 56:07but then something starts to happen
- 56:08and then he's like,
- 56:09oh, I'm getting a little sleepy now.
- 56:11I'm getting a little sleepy.
- 56:13And it's like, so he starts kind of slowing down a little bit.
- 56:17And he's going through an intersection.
- 56:20And then the hitman T-bones him.
- 56:26And then he dies.
- 56:27Covering all his bases.
- 56:28Nice.
- 56:29Yeah.
- 56:30I just had one question.
- 56:32Yeah.
- 56:34When the hitman was the therapist, how did the husband not recognize him?
- 56:39Because of the makeup.
- 56:40He's a makeup artist.
- 56:41Oh, okay.
- 56:41He's a makeup artist.
- 56:42Remember, he has spirit gum with him at all times.
- 56:45What does that have to do with anything?
- 56:47Because that's how much of a makeup artist he is.
- 56:49He's ready at any moment to put on a fake mustache or a wig.
- 56:54Wait, is that a kind of gum?
- 56:55Yeah, it's like theater.
- 56:56It's like spirit gum is for putting on hair.
- 56:58Oh, it's not for chewing?
- 57:00No, no, no, no, no.
- 57:01It's not like Spirit Airlines.
- 57:02It's like the stuff that you use to fix a fake beard onto your cell.
- 57:07Oh, oh, oh.
- 57:09Yeah, yeah.
- 57:10Okay, and then you're free to sleep with him.
- 57:12The Hitman?
- 57:13Oh, yeah.
- 57:13You said he was hot.
- 57:14Now you're single.
- 57:15Now I'm single, so.
- 57:17Thank you, Jenna.
- 57:18Two missions accomplished.
- 57:20That was beautiful.
- 57:22Yeah.
- 57:23So that's how I'd do it.
- 57:26That's how I did do it, in fact.
- 57:28I'm just glad you survived.
- 57:30Thank you.
- 57:32Me too.
- 57:34Hitman's happy too.
- 57:35What you forgot to mention was that when he was T-boned,
- 57:38his car spun off and hit my car
- 57:40and killed me
- 57:42because I was on my way to Joe's recorder
- 57:44concert. Oh, and that's
- 57:46why you can't make it. And Joe's looking
- 57:48out in the audience for his
- 57:50new dad
- 57:52and he's not there.
- 57:54I knew you weren't going to pull through so I just
- 57:56hired some of
- 57:58your sex workers.
- 58:00Thank you.
- 58:02I have to say, they're expensive
- 58:04but they're worth it. And professional.
- 58:07Very.
- 58:08Well, sounds like we've answered the big question.
- 58:13The big question.
- 58:15Yeah.
- 58:15Well, there's only one thing left to do.
- 58:20Francis, secret words time.
- 58:23Ooh.
- 58:24Secret words.
- 58:28This is going to be exciting.
- 58:29Okay.
- 58:30I have some guesses.
- 58:31Okay, let's hear them.
- 58:33Oh, I'm scared.
- 58:34Okay, well, the first one I wrote down was pneumatic.
- 58:38I knew you were going to.
- 58:39And you said no?
- 58:40No.
- 58:41Okay.
- 58:41I feel like we've done this before with the word pneumatic.
- 58:44One of us has said it, and then the other one's like, that's not my word.
- 58:47Okay.
- 58:47And then we're like, sure, Jan.
- 58:49Scribble, scribble.
- 58:51Is your word combed?
- 58:55No.
- 58:56You just like combed ponies.
- 58:58You know what I mean by combed ponies, right?
- 59:00The most combed.
- 59:01Yeah.
- 59:02Combed as in like well-groomed.
- 59:03Well-
- 59:04I know, but it's just a sort of weird way to say that.
- 59:06I've never heard that phrase.
- 59:08before the most combed pony the most combed pony you also said it like like you made it sound
- 59:14like the combing was the pony's reward for being the best pony it's a part of it don't you want to
- 59:22be combed okay all right so it's not combed no yikes i really hope it's not organs because i
- 59:31said organs uh it's not organs but i wish it was you and you said that a whole bunch and i was like
- 59:35I tried really hard to not say organs and then I accidentally said it once.
- 59:39Oof, oof, oof, badoof.
- 59:41Is it prophetic?
- 59:44No.
- 59:45Ugh.
- 59:46You really just do have prophetic dreams?
- 59:47I've had two.
- 59:49Okay.
- 59:49Well, those are...
- 59:50I have a...
- 59:51The only guess I have left is for your decoy word.
- 59:55Okay.
- 59:55So I'm going to guess your decoy word.
- 59:57Let's hear it.
- 59:58Tongue?
- 1:00:00No.
- 1:00:01Oh!
- 1:00:02That one I thought I might have been able to guess.
- 1:00:04Okay.
- 1:00:05What were your words?
- 1:00:07My word was improvised.
- 1:00:12That's bullshit.
- 1:00:14This is an improvised podcast.
- 1:00:17I'm sorry, it's a what podcast, Jenna?
- 1:00:20No, it doesn't.
- 1:00:21No, no, no.
- 1:00:23I agree.
- 1:00:23I agree with you on that.
- 1:00:25Thank you.
- 1:00:26But I think it's fine because we don't normally say that.
- 1:00:28That's not like a word we use all the time in our podcast.
- 1:00:30That would be like the word being comedy or podcast.
- 1:00:33I don't know.
- 1:00:34I feel like that's a little, all right, fine, fine.
- 1:00:36But you didn't lose any points.
- 1:00:38No, but.
- 1:00:39You didn't say it until just now.
- 1:00:41You said improvise.
- 1:00:44So.
- 1:00:45You said improvising.
- 1:00:47Yeah.
- 1:00:47Whatever.
- 1:00:48So you're good.
- 1:00:49All right.
- 1:00:50Man, imagine the fight she would have thrown if she'd said it.
- 1:00:52That would have, oh.
- 1:00:54That was like me with overstimulation.
- 1:00:56Like Jesus in the temple, just flip this table over.
- 1:00:58Did he do that?
- 1:00:59Jesus said, get out of my house.
- 1:01:01Jesus got mad?
- 1:01:02Yeah.
- 1:01:04Anyway, all right, what was your decoy word?
- 1:01:07Yikes.
- 1:01:09When did you say that?
- 1:01:10I feel like you say that all the time.
- 1:01:12I said it numerous times.
- 1:01:15That's a word you say often in real life.
- 1:01:18I've never said it on the pod.
- 1:01:19But you say it all the time in real life.
- 1:01:22Ooh, yikes.
- 1:01:22I feel like I hear you say that all the time.
- 1:01:24What are we doing here?
- 1:01:25What do you want me to say?
- 1:01:27Got my words.
- 1:01:27I played my part.
- 1:01:29Yikes.
- 1:01:30Oh, all right.
- 1:01:32Here we go.
- 1:01:33See, even you doing it just then sounded natural to me because it sounds like something you would say.
- 1:01:38Yikes.
- 1:01:38Just do it.
- 1:01:42Here we go.
- 1:01:44All right.
- 1:01:44I've got some guesses.
- 1:01:45Okay.
- 1:01:47Starboard.
- 1:01:48No.
- 1:01:50I saw you write that one down.
- 1:01:52Tootsies.
- 1:01:53Nope.
- 1:01:54I really do like toasty tootsies.
- 1:01:56I hope this isn't it because I said it once.
- 1:01:58Circus.
- 1:01:59No.
- 1:01:59And I saw you write it down and then I saw you say circus and then you went like to yourself.
- 1:02:05Where you were like, God, no, what did I do?
