  listen because God will tell you when a season is

  over or when one begins.

  We have mountains here and you can actually see the moon.

  That's right, you get a little. In Tennessee, you're not

  seeing anything. That's true. There's nothing you can see. So anyway,
• 2:08
  yeah, they told us to go out and,
• 2:12
  and, and, and they wanted us to find a tree.
• 2:19
  Now back then, I didn't, I didn't understand the, the spiritual
• 2:23
  relevance nor the scientific relevance of actually going out and hugging the
• 2:27
  tree. But, you know, it was God, hug a tree. Okay, I'll go out of.
• 2:31
  I don't know what that's gonna do for me.
• 2:35
  Give you splinters. Let me tell you something.
• 2:41
  I just want to make sure there wasn't any snakes around, all right? Oh,
• 2:45
  yeah, you know, yeah, right.
• 2:48
  And so, so I went out and I found this big tree
• 2:54
  and I went up to this tree and I said, okay, I'm gonna just hug
• 2:57
  this tree. So I went to hug the tree.
• 3:03
  And ministry and Let me, let me, let me, let me tell you something.

  When you're ready, the spirit of God will
• 3:11
  hit you so
• 3:15
  gently and so hard. The Holy Spirit,
• 3:19
  that seraphim, that holy Spirit will,
• 3:23
  it'll touch you and, and overtake you in,
• 3:27
  in the most sensitive and masculine
• 3:31
  way. And it did.
• 3:35
  And I had this conversation with this tree.
• 3:39
  And so here I am in middle floors in the middle of the night,
• 3:42
  she's talking, I start crying.
• 3:47
  I love you, Tre, you know, and this tree said
• 3:50
  to me, said,
• 3:54
  my roots are deep and
• 3:59
  my branches are tall and wide.
• 4:04
  I do not need your permission to grow.
• 4:09
  I grow, period.
• 4:14
  And I thought, oh, wow.
• 4:19
  At that particular time, I was in a situation in a relationship and
• 4:25
  we talk about seasons. God will tell you when the season is over. You just
• 4:28
  gotta listen sometimes that season is your mama.
• 4:33
  Right? Right. Yeah. What was that one song Mama used
• 4:37
  to say, yeah, take your time, young man. Right. So my
• 4:41
  mama told me that that girl wasn't right. That mama told you that the girl
• 4:45
  wasn't right. She told me she wasn't right.
• 4:48
  I, I, I didn't, I didn't, I didn't want to listen, so I said,
• 4:52
  okay, all right. And, but that conversation
• 4:56
  with the tree also told me that too.
• 4:59
  Tree said, I'm a tree. I don't need your permission to grow.

  Well, I was asking for permission in this relationship to grow,
• 5:07
  and I wasn't granted the permission to grow. So I didn't grow.
• 5:10
  Grow. Right. So there was two seasons. This is something
• 5:14
  interesting. There was two, this is come back to oxymoron again. There was two things
• 5:18
  happening at one time, right. I had two seasons
• 5:22
  going on at one time. Now, if you know something about seasons, which I know
• 5:25
  both of y' all do, generally when you're going through a season, you, you learn
• 5:29
  more than one lesson. Oh, yeah, really get a little spanking upside your
• 5:33
  head. Right, right. Hard head. Make a soft, you know what?
• 5:37
  Right. We talked about that our last show. So. Yeah,
• 5:42
  that's right. I went through my rites
• 5:46
  of passage and I, and I went through that and I said, all right,
• 5:49
  I got that lesson. And then I
• 5:53
  still didn't listen. I got the message,
• 5:57
  man, I still didn't listen. I sent you the memo,
• 6:02
  but I didn't listen. Okay.
• 6:05
  So then I had to go ahead and lose my life later on. Didn't figure
• 6:09
  out, oh, I had a near death experience and I came back and I said,
• 6:12
  oh, I got it. Okay,
• 6:15
  all right, all right, all right, got it. And then it took three more years
• 6:20
  after that. It took me three more years to figure
• 6:25
  out, you know, what is
• 6:30
  this season telling me? Right,
• 6:34
  Right. Because there's always a harvest. That's right.
• 6:37
  That's right. Right. And so when you, when you have
• 6:41
  a harvest, what you plant will grow. That's right. Right.
• 6:46
  And this is, this is part of what we'll talk about in our our next
• 6:49
  show, thoughts Manifesting reality. So what you plant
• 6:54
  will grow. So, so there's a Native American saying that says, you know,
• 6:57
  whichever wolf that you decide to feed is the one that,
• 7:00
  that will grow strong. So if you feed the negativity, it's going
• 7:04
  to grow strong. If you feed that positivity and love and joy and
• 7:07
  love and peace and kindness and gentleness and happiness and joy and
• 7:12
  faith, strength, then that's what's going to grow. If you're hating and
• 7:16
  you're hating on Yourself, and you're hating on other people, and you got hate in
• 7:19
  your heart, and you hate this man and you hate that man.
• 7:22
  You hate the President, the President's mama and the President's dog.
• 7:25
  Okay. You know there's gonna be some problems,
• 7:29
  right? Right? Yeah, yeah. These things are going
• 7:33
  to manifest. They're going to manifest in your life. That's right.
• 7:37
  Okay, so we'll talk about that in our next show. But when
• 7:41
  it comes to seasons, we must listen. That's right.
• 7:44
  And, Deborah, let me ask you, because we've talked about this many,
• 7:48
  many times. Deborah. And Deborah, I want to ask you guys this question. How do
• 7:52
  we know what to listen for?
• 7:55
  How do you know what to listen for in those seasons?
• 7:59
  Well. Oh, boy. You go ahead,
• 8:03
  Deborah. People have said to me, well, how does the Holy Spirit.
• 8:07
  What does the Holy Spirit sound like? And I said,
• 8:12
  yeah. And someone asked me, does he audibly
• 8:16
  talk to you? And I said, yeah, what does it sound like? I said,
• 8:19
  it's my voice, but it's not my idea.
• 8:23
  Matter of fact, it might even piss me off when
• 8:27
  I'm told to do certain things. You know, it is my voice,
• 8:31
  but it is completely in the opposite
• 8:35
  direction that I was going, thinking, or would
• 8:39
  go. And it's hard to listen, especially because
• 8:44
  I'm a hyper person. I know Deborah is, too. It's. It's hard to
• 8:48
  be still. Even in my stillness. I go hiking
• 8:53
  and listen and listen. Yeah, exactly. It's. It's.
• 8:57
  I. You know, I. God would tell
• 9:00
  me the Holy Spirit would say, go here. And I go, why? And that'd be
• 9:04
  three years. I'm in that why for three years.
• 9:08
  I mean, if. If. If I could have my
• 9:13
  mind now when I was 21, oh, my goodness,
• 9:18
  I'd be so much better off if I were to just listen.
• 9:22
  And a lot of times I. God would get silent on
• 9:26
  me. Not as bad as he did between the Old and New Testament, you know,
• 9:30
  And Ezekiel was telling them, okay, you better straighten up, okay?
• 9:33
  And then he was silent. He was silent. And it's a hard.
• 9:37
  It's a hard position to be when you praying
• 9:42
  and there's nothing coming back.
• 9:46
  You guys know what I mean? There's just you just praying the same
• 9:50
  thing over and over and over again. But I have
• 9:54
  learned that he is very near, and he's waiting for
• 9:58
  me to do what he told me to do initially.

  And he's not going to say. He doesn't argue with me.
• 10:05
  He doesn't argue with me and keeps on repeating
• 10:09
  like, I do to my husband and my kids. But he just says it one
• 10:13
  time. And if I asked him,
• 10:17
  if I pray and say, could you give me the Cliff Notes,
• 10:21
  God, could you remind
• 10:26
  me? And he will remind me. And a lot of times it comes through something
• 10:31
  I see in nature or something someone says to me or something
• 10:35
  I hear on television. Just this thing that I hear.
• 10:39
  But he will remind you. So what
• 10:43
  I try to do is to remember to ask him, okay, I'm being stubborn.
• 10:47
  I forgot what you told me. Could you tell me again?
• 10:50
  And he will tell you again, because the Bible says,
• 10:54
  I will guide your steps. I will guide your step.
• 10:57
  Step here step, step, here, step.
• 11:01
  But most of us are like, why? And that's four years, five years later,
• 11:05
  you know? So I've learned to ask him, could you.
• 11:09
  Could you remind me what you told me? Because in my.
• 11:11
  He knows. He knows my mind. He knows. I.
• 11:15
  He. The boy done forgot. So I will send. I will send a
• 11:19
  reminder. And it's a reminder to her. And it is usually
• 11:24
  not from the Holy Spirit. It's usually from outside.
• 11:27
  I'm told something, and I'm like, oh, yeah, now I remember what
• 11:32
  he told me. I have a girlfriend and I. We always say,
• 11:36
  so when we get old, could you help me complete
• 11:40
  my sentences? Because we forgot.
• 11:43
  Matter of fact, I dance with. I bring some older women in
• 11:47
  class today because I'm the hugger and the greeter.
• 11:50
  And today a woman came. She stood.
• 11:54
  She said, you've already hugged me. I said, you just walked in. I haven't hugged
• 11:58
  you. She goes, oh, I forgot. And we start laughing because she.
• 12:02
  Because she goes, well, the other day, you hugged me twice. Because you forgot.
• 12:05
  You hugged me. I said, yes. So you
• 12:09
  tend to. Your memory tends to slip a little bit. And. And God,
• 12:14
  he understands that. He understands that. So it will come back to you.
• 12:17
  So what I do, Vince, is I say the prayer. Like,
• 12:21
  could you. You're not saying anything, so it must have been something you told
• 12:25
  me to do, and I haven't done it, you know, like, recently told
• 12:29
  me, I want you to write another book. And I'm like, I don't want to
• 12:32
  write another book. That means I have to be still,
• 12:36
  you know? And he got silent.
• 12:42
  Yeah. So. Yeah, I know. He told me that. He told me that. But I
• 12:46
  don't want to do that. But we'll see how disobedient I'm going to be.
• 12:50
  I can't promise you anything,
• 12:54
  Deborah. You got the same.
• 12:59
  Well, I mean, I'll say this one time,
• 13:04
  I prayed over A relationship. And I said, you know, God, if you can just
• 13:07
  let me know by the end of the year or so if this relationship is
• 13:11
  right, I'm. I should stick with it or not.
• 13:14
  And it was maybe October,
• 13:19
  and, you know, but I came to God honestly.
• 13:23
  And later that same day, I'm not
• 13:27
  going to say what I found or what happened exactly,
• 13:32
  but it made it apparent to me it was
• 13:36
  done. So I prayed it in the morning,
• 13:40
  two or three hours later. And you know what? I wasn't really ready
• 13:44
  to hear it. That's why I was saying, well,
• 13:48
  yeah, you tell me how to end of year, maybe New Year's, you know,
• 13:52
  and. But it was just. It was unmistakable.
• 13:55
  Right. Deborah knows what I'm talking about, but I just can't say
• 13:59
  it on air because it would incriminate someone.
• 14:01
  Yes, but yeah. Yes, it really would.
• 14:08
  So sometimes, you know,
• 14:11
  when your heart is there and you really want to know something and you ask,
• 14:14
  you will get an answer. And sometimes you get it really fast,
• 14:18
  like scary fast.
• 14:21
  And I. Right. The way that I get into,
• 14:26
  you know, the Holy Spirit mode is I have this song that I love called
• 14:30
  Hearing your presence. And Deborah, I know you studied Revelation.
• 14:33
  I bet Vince, you have, too. And it's
• 14:37
  the, you know, the image of Christ on the throne and the emerald
• 14:42
  colored kind of rainbow
• 14:47
  encircling the throne and the prophets and dressed in white
• 14:51
  and crowns of gold on their heads, et cetera. Whenever I read that,
• 14:55
  and I'm. And the lyrics will be printed on the screen,
• 14:58
  boom, I'm in it. I'm in it like Jesus is
• 15:02
  right there. And. And I've just had remarkable
• 15:07
  experiences. I remember one time someone had passed and I saw Jesus
• 15:11
  just laughing at death.
• 15:14
  And you know how. And the person
• 15:18
  was happy and young again and, you know, those kinds of things.
• 15:22
  But if I want to connect, I have
• 15:25
  to do it through music. But that means I have to sit still and listen
• 15:29
  to it. I can't. I cannot go on a hike and
• 15:34
  really get that one on one because I feel like I'm just kind of
• 15:38
  like, you know, help me, you know, and I'm not really
• 15:42
  sitting and listening. And so I found that I literally have to be still.
• 15:47
  So all of my hiking and exercising and all that is not conducive to
• 15:51
  me hearing anything. It's conducive to me downloading
• 15:56
  on God, you know, but I.
• 16:00
  It's not opening my ears to hear it, so I have to get really quiet.
• 16:05
  Interesting. Yeah, that's good. Interesting, you know. You know,
• 16:09
  I That's interesting that you say that because when I was,
• 16:13
  when I was, when I was younger,
• 16:16
  I would get quiet and God would speak to me immediately.
• 16:22
  I, in one time in particular, I can remember, I was looking
• 16:26
  out a window and the sun was shining and I asked God a very,
• 16:29
  very important question. And I said, I'm just
• 16:33
  sitting here and wait till you answer me, Lord. And I mean, probably within about
• 16:36
  30 seconds. Right. He told me what
• 16:40
  to do. Now my mind said,
• 16:43
  okay, but my heart said, no, I ain't going to do it.
• 16:47
  Within that 30 seconds, I know the sun was shining and
• 16:51
  do you know, with the clouds rolled over and a big
• 16:55
  thunderstorm came. Wow.
• 16:59
  And when I, I didn't, I didn't do any. I didn't do what he told
• 17:03
  me to do. And I paid a very, very dear price for that. Yeah,
• 17:06
  right. That was when I was young, I would, I, I, I would
• 17:10
  get quiet. Now I'm older now, so, you know, I spend a lot of time
• 17:14
  being quiet and in quiet. But that doesn't mean it's quiet in the brain.
• 17:18
  But. Yeah, but it is good, you know, but, but then,
• 17:21
  you know, it, it, it. There's that oxymoron again too. Because just because it's quiet
• 17:25
  don't mean it's quiet. That's right. Right. Agree. So now God knows.
• 17:29
  He knows to catch me in the flow when
• 17:33
  I'm in the flow. Because I, when I get quiet, I think I can hear
• 17:37
  him and I'm here. And Shambala. Oh, yeah. I'm. I mean, I'm. We there.
• 17:41
  We, Me and God, me and you. We like this, we homies. Right? Yeah.
• 17:45
  Yeah. And I don't mean to minimize the creator that
• 17:49
  way, but when I'm in flow
• 17:52
  is when he stops me. Yeah. Because he knows that is when I'm
• 17:57
  going to hear him. So I'll be doing a song musician.

  And this happens to me. I'll jump into a song
• 18:06
  and immediately. And this happens to me quite frequently.
• 18:09
  Even when I'm on stage and doing solos, I will get completely overwhelmed.
• 18:14
  Yeah, right. Yeah. And synesthesia, the synesthesia
• 18:18
  is that moment where music is, is so overwhelming and the art is so overwhelming
• 18:22
  to you. And the beauty of it is so overwhelming to that it shakes you
• 18:25
  to your very core. And I can't do anything. And I've done this on stage.

  I can't do anything but just put my hands up. Wow.
• 18:31
  Okay. That's amazing. Looked at me like,
• 18:35
  is, Is that it? Like I, I was, I came back.
• 18:40
  That's it. So that is when God speaks to me and
• 18:43
  he gives me the answer. And it's very poignant. There's no.
• 18:47
  Well, a little gray line. No, this is a little bit. Could it be.
• 18:50
  This could be. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Vincent, stop.
• 18:55
  Turn left. I'm driving down the street one
• 18:59
  day. I'm like, lord, why you have me Go down the street. He said,
• 19:02
  turn left. I said. I said, okay. I said, lord, why you have me.
• 19:05
  Stop. And okay. What in the white. And I looked to my left and I
• 19:08
  said, this is what I've been looking for for 10 years. And I
• 19:12
  went into this place and it started a whole new career for me. Wow.

  Yes. So that speaks to us different ways. He speaks
• 19:20
  to us in different ways. Yeah, right. Yeah, right. So.
• 19:24
  And that. And. And that. That kind of teases into our next show.

  Thoughts and manifestation in reality. Right. Do you know

  that a thought is a prayer?
• 19:38
  That's heavy. Right? Wow.

  Pray without ceasing. Pay without ceasing. There we are.

  Right, so your thought is your prayer.
• 19:53
  Right. Cherokee Native Americans would say, well, that's the
• 19:57
  wolf that you feed. You got to feed the white wolf or you're going to

  feed the black wolf. That's right. No, no pun intended,
• 20:04
  but you got.
• 20:09
  Yeah, right. Which one are
• 20:13
  you gonna. Gotta make some choices. So in our next show

  that's gonna be very exciting because we want to talk about thought manifesting

  reality. We've all got some amazing stories, right. And things to share

  about that. Right? Yeah, yeah. Well, before we

  leave and you know, people are like, whoa, I don't believe that. Well, your belief

  is not a prereq to the truth. Okay.

  And a prereq is a prerequisite, and you have

  to take that class before you take the next class.

  So it's not a prereq to the truth. Have you ever.

  Have you ever thought about somebody and they call you.

  And then some of you shaking your head, yes, sure. Oh, yeah.

  And those people shaking their head, no, you're lying. You're lying to

  yourself. You thought about somebody and you haven't seen them in
• 21:04
  a year and you kind of, kind of bump into
• 21:08
  them like on the street, in the grocery store.

  Grocery store. Yeah. Your thoughts totally happen.

  Your thoughts will manifest your reality.
• 21:21
