  sending humans to the International Space Station and

  also with their Falcon 9 rocket sending cargo to the orbit of

  the earth. Now SpaceX is also working with

  NASA for the Artemis program. Artemis 3 will be the first time

  that people land on the moon. Since the Apollo Mission,

  Artemis to, we will see people orbit the Moon, come back down

  to earth and land safely off the coast of San Diego now.

  Artemis 3, they Have a Starship hls version, that will be going

  to the Moon surface and they will be docking with a Orion

  Space Capsule in the orbit of the moon.

  In order to do that, it's a huge process for the Starship to get

  to the lunar. Outpost and also to lunar orbit.

  Now they have to send the Starship to the Earth orbit and

  they have to have tankers in the orbit of the Earth.

  In order for the Starship to have enough fuel to get to the

  moon. Now, Artemis, For is a very

  important Mission as well. This is the second crewed Flight
• 1:35
  of the Starship to the surface of the Moon, and in 2027 that's

  going to be happening. That's the second.

  Crude Landing demonstration mission for SpaceX and NASA

  Just recently announced that they'll be returning astronauts

  in Boca Chica, Texas. And Bill Nelson, said returning,

  astronauts to the Moon to live learn and work is a bold

  Endeavor with multiple planned leaders from SpaceX and future

  Partners, NASA will be better positioned to accomplish the

  missions of Tomorrow. Conducting more science on the

  surface of the Moon. More than ever before and

  preparing for crewed Missions to Mars.

  So the Orion Space Capsule is technically able to send people
• 2:39
  to Mars and also to the orbit of Mars, turn around and come back
• 2:44
  down to earth and these Moon missions.

  These are the first steps to get people to Mars.

  Now, the Starship on the other hand, by itself is capable the
• 2:57
  crude version of Starship. Not the lunar version of star.

  That's a whole different thing but the other version the the

  normal version of Starship should be in theory able to send
• 3:10
  people to Mars orbit and also to the surface of Mars.

  It's a very complicated engineering problem to solve
• 3:17
  because you have to have a rocket that's able to lift off
• 3:21
  from the earth with the booster which has 33 inches.

  This is the most powerful booster that's ever been flown
• 3:28
  in the history of Humankind literally being built in Texas
• 3:32
  right now at the end of like a 20 mile road, by the Gulf of
• 3:37
  Mexico, and it's in the middle of nowhere.

  So they have all the reasons to continue building down there and
• 3:44
  they just did an amazing 14, engine test down at Boca, Chica,
• 3:49
  it went off without a hitch. As far as we know, they may have
• 3:52
  to replace a few engines, which is fine because the Raptor two
• 3:56
  engines, they're building them one every single day.
• 3:59
  So, Over the next year or two years SpaceX will have hundreds
• 4:04
  of these engines in stock, to build new starships, and new
• 4:08
  prototypes and work on this. And by the time, the Starship is
• 4:12
  ready for the Artemis, three program.

  They'll already need an Artemis for Prototype being built.
• 4:19
  So 2027 is the date for the Artemis for program to actually
• 4:25
  land more people on the surface of the Moon.

  It doesn't seem like that for a week.

  It's 2022 right now. We have about five years to send
• 4:34
  people back to the moon and then eventually people will be
• 4:38
  building bases on them. So this is all the stuff that I
• 4:40
  thought about when I was a kid, all of the, all of the lunar
• 4:44
  bases, people going to Mars people stepping on Mars surface.

  For the first time, it's going to be an insanely difficult
• 4:52
  test, do all this stuff so SpaceX.

  And of course, NASA are working together to build all of these

  Systems in order to get this done NASA initially, selected

  SpaceX to develop a human Landing system.

  Variant of Starship to land the next American astronauts on the

  lunar surface in, this will be happening.

  Hopefully, in 2025, there's 20, 24, 25, it's sort of up in the

  air at this point. Because next year 2023, we

  So SpaceX has a lot of work to do on the Starship program.

  There's months and months of work to do just to get a vehicle

  to stabili, go to orbit multiple times.

  in the recent months that he wants SpaceX Starship to go to

  orbit by the end of this year. He's hoping in December that the

  the Gulf of Mexico. So they're not going to come

  back and land like a Falcon 9 rocket but they will hopefully

  get to orbit and it could take the multiple times to get to

  orbit. So if they do attempt an orbital

  launch this year, it might not be successful in might just get
• 9:23
  to the Gulf of Mexico and in Rapid unscheduled Disassembly

  the the red if you will. It it might not even make it off

  the pad. Elon Musk has said numerous

  times he doesn't think, you know, he's like I hope he gets

  off the pad but we'll see in the future about what happens there.

  But he's also said, we're going to take some time and we're

  going to get this right? Because if this doesn't get off

  the pad, they call that stage zero.

  What the pad is, that's the Launchpad stage zero, if it

  doesn't get off the stage 0 and it blows up on the pad.

  Horrible things could happen to the launch pad and it could be

  months possibly a year before they fix it.

  And if they get to the Artemis three program, see if they get

  to the Artemis three program, they have to do a demonstration

  flight of a Starship to the lunar surface and it doesn't go
• 10:15
  so well. The American government and NASA
• 10:19
  will also take a look at this and possibly postponed the
• 10:23
  mission for a year, you know, it doesn't you know, doesn't Matter

  how long it takes as long as it's safe for the astronauts on
• 10:31
  board, the Starship. Now they also said here, they're

  going to be working on other partnership programs as well.

  So it's not only SpaceX, it's got to be involved with this

  Artemis three program in Artemis for program.

  The 1.15 billion dollars is to get SpaceX pushed forward for
• 10:50
  these next launches and if they use the money for the 2027,

  Artemis for program, Well, that money I believe can be used to

  to build this Starship before the Artemis for program to get

  it to the good spot. And then SpaceX can use its own
• 11:07
  money in the future if they have more contracts.

  But the, the Artemis 3 and the Artemis to program SpaceX

  underbid everybody because they were using their own money.

  They have initial investors in their company and they also have
• 11:20
  a ton of billions of dollars. They're the almost the most
• 11:25
  Funded privately owned company in the United States at this
• 11:29
  point. So We will see what happens in

  the next few months. This is a really interesting and
• 11:35
  really exciting time for space flight.
