- 0:06Speaker 1: and you're on one on one with the pro I'm
- 0:09Speaker 1: Tom Davis and these are the pros we have with
- 0:12Speaker 1: us year. We have Nicole and we have Brian from
- 0:15Speaker 1: Cruity Credit Union. I got spirit? Yes, I do you
- 0:18Speaker 1: got spirit? Sod you or something like that. What's going
- 0:20Speaker 1: on here with with with it credit Union Week?
- 0:24Speaker 2: Yes, it is. We call it our International credit Union Week.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Yeah, so International Credit Union Day is actually tomorrow, but
- 0:31Speaker 3: we love to celebrate it all week long, so we
- 0:33Speaker 3: make it like a spirit week just for Credit.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Union, kind of like homecoming Brian, Yeah, right, we got
- 0:39Speaker 4: We try to stretch it out all week, try to
- 0:40Speaker 4: do something fun every day to kind of recognize the
- 0:44Speaker 4: credit union difference and stuff to bring awareness as people
- 0:48Speaker 4: you know, see us around town and whatnot, come into
- 0:50Speaker 4: the branches, generate some questions and some fun.
- 0:53Speaker 1: So okay, this this s Fun's a question. What's the difference.
- 0:58Speaker 5: What's the difference between bank and a credit Yes, well,
- 1:00Speaker 5: we're for our members, right, I mean the the products
- 1:03Speaker 5: and services are similar, but everything that that we get,
- 1:08Speaker 5: any money that we make and all this stuff is
- 1:10Speaker 5: put back into uh, into our membership and creating more
- 1:15Speaker 5: better products and things for our for our members.
- 1:19Speaker 6: They're not customers.
- 1:20Speaker 5: We don't pay, you know, our our shareholders and things
- 1:23Speaker 5: aren't aren't getting paid. H for all our profits and stuff.
- 1:28Speaker 5: We we give that right back to our to our members.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Wow, that's great, So share and share alike.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Huh yeah, right, because our members are actually part owners.
- 1:36Speaker 3: So once you join the Credit Union, you are actually
- 1:38Speaker 3: a part owner of the Credit Union and we reinvest
- 1:41Speaker 3: those dollars back into our members.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You got something kind of cool the schools going on
- 1:46Speaker 1: those cards.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yes, we do. We have our Spirit cards.
- 1:50Speaker 3: So we have our Ruined Spirit Card, our Dewey Spirit Card,
- 1:53Speaker 3: and our Pahusco Spirit Card.
- 1:54Speaker 2: And we also have a Tri County Tech Spirit Card.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yeah you like that.
- 1:59Speaker 1: And how does this work when we use the card?
- 2:01Speaker 1: How did the schools benefit from it?
- 2:03Speaker 5: Every transaction that swiped, there's some money that goes back
- 2:07Speaker 5: to those schools whoever, the whatever school you choose on
- 2:11Speaker 5: your card. We donate back to the schools for every
- 2:14Speaker 5: transaction you make on that card.
- 2:16Speaker 1: You know, I covered sometimes the Bartlesville School Board meetings
- 2:19Speaker 1: and every now and then I see miss Freeman coming
- 2:21Speaker 1: in with this nine foot check. Yeah, so I guess
- 2:24Speaker 1: that's where that comes from.
- 2:25Speaker 3: It does we actually have some money that we need
- 2:27Speaker 3: to give back, so be looking for one of those.
- 2:31Speaker 3: We need to set that up so we can get
- 2:32Speaker 3: back a big check to the schools.
- 2:34Speaker 6: Nice.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So it's International Credit Union Week and we're celebrating. We're
- 2:38Speaker 1: having a lot of fun here with it too. But
- 2:41Speaker 1: I understand Ryan, are you in charge of some kind
- 2:44Speaker 1: of giveaway?
- 2:45Speaker 5: Yeah, So on Friday, actually we're gonna have the opportunity
- 2:50Speaker 5: to give away bikes to some of the Boys and
- 2:54Speaker 5: Girls Club folks for both Bartsville and Dewey.
- 2:59Speaker 6: So we're going to do that.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Down at the branch. We had basically an all staff
- 3:05Speaker 5: day on Monday.
- 3:06Speaker 1: We do that.
- 3:07Speaker 5: Every every year where all of our employees come together
- 3:10Speaker 5: we get to do some fun activities and things.
- 3:13Speaker 6: And one of the things we did this year was
- 3:15Speaker 6: build bikes.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Built.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Yeah, we actually got to put put the bikes together,
- 3:20Speaker 5: make it a little fun contest out of it. Each table,
- 3:23Speaker 5: you know, kind of had their own own competition. But
- 3:26Speaker 5: but the reward for that now is on Friday, we're
- 3:30Speaker 5: gonna get the have the kids come in and pick
- 3:33Speaker 5: those bikes up.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yeah, just think of everything, don't you.
- 3:35Speaker 6: We try to.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Well, that's great, you know, Nicole. I keep telling you
- 3:39Speaker 1: every time we're in here. I see you about once
- 3:41Speaker 1: a week and we don't even try, We don't even cry.
- 3:46Speaker 1: It could be anywhere, but I always see somebody that's got,
- 3:50Speaker 1: you know, either the Truity logo, the Truty badge on,
- 3:53Speaker 1: or the fact that I just know them from Truity.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You guys are all over the community.
- 3:58Speaker 6: We are involved and act.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Today we're going to be out at Be the Light volunteering.
- 4:03Speaker 3: They are our community partner for Barnisville, and so our
- 4:06Speaker 3: employees choose to donate their hard earned money to Be
- 4:10Speaker 3: the Light through their paychecks.
- 4:12Speaker 2: And then also we volunteer.
- 4:14Speaker 3: So we're going to be helping clean out some buildings,
- 4:16Speaker 3: clean out their rooms, do some deep cleans today and
- 4:18Speaker 3: just really give back.
- 4:20Speaker 1: That's really nice. You know, every now and then you
- 4:22Speaker 1: need that day out of the office, get some exercise.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You might as well put it to really good use
- 4:27Speaker 1: for people who could use it. That is something else
- 4:30Speaker 1: that's quite a different work culture that you have going
- 4:33Speaker 1: on there at Truty.
- 4:34Speaker 6: Yeah, it's great.
- 4:35Speaker 5: We always try to get our employees involved in the
- 4:38Speaker 5: community and you know, just just helping out and volunteering.
- 4:42Speaker 6: We have tons of volunteer hours we try to keep
- 4:44Speaker 6: track of.
- 4:44Speaker 5: I don't have that number offhand, but just to see
- 4:47Speaker 5: all those numbers come together is just it's great. And
- 4:52Speaker 5: to work for a company that encourages their employees to
- 4:54Speaker 5: get out is fantastic.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Well, we had miss gunning him in here a couple
- 4:58Speaker 1: of days ago, and she By the way, we're.
- 5:00Speaker 6: Hiring, Yes, yes, we are.
- 5:03Speaker 2: We are hiring. We are always hiring. I'm not sure
- 5:07Speaker 2: exactly what we have.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Out there, but I know where to find it though.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You know where to find it TRUCU dot org.
- 5:13Speaker 1: That's right, and it's really easy to navigate. Looks some
- 5:16Speaker 1: careers and it's there. This is really something else. You
- 5:21Speaker 1: guys are growing. I know that you got the Pehuska
- 5:24Speaker 1: thing coming up. Yes, but that's not all.
- 5:26Speaker 2: No, it's not all.
- 5:27Speaker 3: We're actually adding some new branches in our Kansas market
- 5:30Speaker 3: in Lawrence and Oleitha, Johnson County, So we're growing there
- 5:34Speaker 3: and we're really excited about that.
- 5:36Speaker 1: You're really taking this International Credit Union Week seriously. You
- 5:39Speaker 1: branching out all over the.
- 5:40Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that takes a little more than a week.
- 5:43Speaker 6: But yeah, but for that.
- 5:46Speaker 3: We also like to use local vendors, so the eatery
- 5:49Speaker 3: is actually doing our cookies.
- 5:51Speaker 2: We've got custom cookies, popping parties.
- 5:54Speaker 3: We did balloons, so we have balloons at our credit
- 5:57Speaker 3: unions for members to enjoy and just to see just
- 6:00Speaker 3: all sorts of snacks and just let them know that
- 6:02Speaker 3: we appreciate them.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Well, that is great, That is really great. You know,
- 6:05Speaker 1: I tell the call all the time, like going to
- 6:07Speaker 1: the downtown location, because there's always something in that great,
- 6:10Speaker 1: big huge mural that I missed the time before. Yes,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and I'm getting a feeling that, you know, I probably
- 6:15Speaker 1: have to go in there for about maybe two or
- 6:17Speaker 1: three more years before I get everything right.
- 6:19Speaker 6: All right, Yeah, well you know I'm old.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I do things like that. Look at the picture there
- 6:25Speaker 1: you will. But anyway, it's really a cool place because
- 6:28Speaker 1: noing that you have such helpful people. If your color
- 6:33Speaker 1: doesn't know how to answer your question, by golly, they
- 6:38Speaker 1: know who can and they'll get you right with that person.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Tooth sweet you have to wait for You're not waiting
- 6:43Speaker 1: around too much.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Yes, we're really lucky with some great employees and co
- 6:47Speaker 3: workers that we get to work with.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Well, this is something else. So we've got the Credit
- 6:52Speaker 1: Union Week celebration going on. We're giving away bikes to
- 6:55Speaker 1: the Boys and Girls Club doing and Bartlesville's at the
- 6:58Speaker 1: end of this week. And we've got the Spirit cards.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And you know what, if you don't have a Spirit card, folks,
- 7:04Speaker 1: it's really it's how easy is it to get a
- 7:06Speaker 1: Spirit card?
- 7:07Speaker 5: It's it's super easy. First of all, if you're not
- 7:10Speaker 5: a member, you need to be. But if you if
- 7:12Speaker 5: you don't currently have a card, you can just request
- 7:15Speaker 5: to switch that and we can get you signed up,
- 7:17Speaker 5: super simple. The tellers, the whoever that you mentioned, knows
- 7:22Speaker 5: all their information. Contact any of them. They can hook
- 7:25Speaker 5: you up.
- 7:25Speaker 1: But bang, it's there. Huh yep. And of course at
- 7:28Speaker 1: the end of the year there will be a nice
- 7:31Speaker 1: little reciprocation back to the school of your choice. That's great.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Whoever says card you're sharing the spirit with. I guess now,
- 7:41Speaker 1: when we also talk about being in a credit Union,
- 7:47Speaker 1: I understand that you have a new saying here, and
- 7:50Speaker 1: I think it's kind of clever because you talk about
- 7:52Speaker 1: the difference of being in a credit universus a bank,
- 7:54Speaker 1: Truity a better way the bank. Now you offer very
- 7:57Speaker 1: similar services. Now you're a dealer relationship officer, Brian, tell
- 8:03Speaker 1: us a little bit about what you do and who
- 8:05Speaker 1: you relate to.
- 8:07Speaker 6: I relate to.
- 8:08Speaker 5: So I am basically a sales representative to finance offices.
- 8:14Speaker 6: At car dealerships.
- 8:15Speaker 5: Okay, so yeah, we're you know, obviously the folks here
- 8:18Speaker 5: in Bardisville, but also in the in the Tulsa area.
- 8:20Speaker 5: So so when our members go in to purchase a car,
- 8:24Speaker 5: they can sign you up get that loan back through
- 8:27Speaker 5: Truity just there at the at the dealership and and.
- 8:31Speaker 6: Yeah, things like that.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Also, we that's how we get some of our new
- 8:34Speaker 5: members that are familiar with us out buying the car
- 8:38Speaker 5: and then we can get them hooked up and using
- 8:40Speaker 5: our services that way.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So, and you are a business development director, tell us
- 8:46Speaker 1: a little bit about that. Yeah.
- 8:47Speaker 3: So I'm a business development officer and I work in
- 8:50Speaker 3: the communities, so I'm really involved with our events and
- 8:54Speaker 3: our nonprofits and then stuff with our corporate events too
- 8:59Speaker 3: and things like that.
- 9:00Speaker 1: That's why I see everywhere.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Everywhere, everywhere for sure, and I love it. I wouldn't
- 9:05Speaker 2: have it any other way.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Man, do you ever get to see your office?
- 9:09Speaker 2: Sometimes she gets to visit comes with me. So wherever
- 9:13Speaker 2: I go, my goodness.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Sakes, you get frequent flyer miles. No, I'm kidding, I'm
- 9:19Speaker 1: kidding you. I'm kidding you. But this is great Truity
- 9:22Speaker 1: Credit Union right here in our own backyard. We've got
- 9:25Speaker 1: our own little history because Trudy started right here.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Yes, it did, just not all that long ago.
- 9:32Speaker 3: No, And now we're growing and we have new branches
- 9:35Speaker 3: coming up. I'm really excited for Pahusca to be up
- 9:38Speaker 3: and running next spring.
- 9:40Speaker 2: So we're really excited about that.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Now. You also have the other branch that's don on
- 9:46Speaker 1: seventy five. Now that's a piece of hard I don't
- 9:48Speaker 1: know who came up with the architecture on that one,
- 9:50Speaker 1: but man, that catches your eye when you're driving by
- 9:53Speaker 1: a nice facility and you're wonder says, well, what is that?
- 9:56Speaker 1: Well that's Credit Union, that's us. Well, okay, that's pretty cool.
- 10:01Speaker 1: You also have a pretty cool technology you're working with.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I think called it. I am did I get Yes?
- 10:08Speaker 2: You got that right?
- 10:10Speaker 1: One in a row, folks, mark this you can almost well,
- 10:15Speaker 1: you're talking to a live person, but it's on a screen,
- 10:17Speaker 1: but you're talking to them and you're could be a
- 10:20Speaker 1: long way away, but you're still talking to them and
- 10:22Speaker 1: they know exactly what's going on. Right.
- 10:24Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, there, we've got some in our branches. We've
- 10:27Speaker 5: got our standalone it TM there in Dewey, So if
- 10:30Speaker 5: you drive by, yeah you can once you're actually talking
- 10:33Speaker 5: to someone there where we're Aaron brand.
- 10:36Speaker 6: It's one of us. So yeah, it's been they've been great.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Also with the other technology too. On your website you
- 10:43Speaker 1: have the chat box. I'm not going to say bought
- 10:46Speaker 1: because it's really not. There's a person there.
- 10:48Speaker 2: It's an actual person.
- 10:50Speaker 1: It's very very real. They've been it's probably somebody you
- 10:53Speaker 1: even know.
- 10:53Speaker 2: It could be someone you know.
- 10:55Speaker 3: But yeah, we have at our branches downtown in our
- 10:58Speaker 3: contact center, we have employees that actually used that bot
- 11:02Speaker 3: and so that's who they're talking to.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It's just the real life employees right in the.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I do a really good job of answering questions. I
- 11:10Speaker 1: had a question on my vehicle low and going, I
- 11:17Speaker 1: don't want to drive, it's cold, it might snow and
- 11:20Speaker 1: I'm old, and so I got on there and he
- 11:23Speaker 1: had that thing done in I think less than five minutes.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Everything was taken care of, wrapped up, put a bow
- 11:30Speaker 1: on it. I didn't have to worry about it. Another
- 11:32Speaker 1: thing you have is an app, and for people my age,
- 11:36Speaker 1: we're still trying to figure out how that works. I
- 11:39Speaker 1: just know that it does. I guess I really shouldn't
- 11:41Speaker 1: ask how. I'm just happy that it does work.
- 11:44Speaker 5: Yeah, don't ask me how. But it works. It works great,
- 11:47Speaker 5: and it's it's evolving all the time.
- 11:49Speaker 1: And what can we do on our app?
- 11:51Speaker 3: So you can actually transfer money, you can talk to
- 11:55Speaker 3: a live person.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Pretty much anything that you need to do you can
- 11:59Speaker 2: do from your app. It's very handy.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Tips.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you can even apply for a loan on your app.
- 12:06Speaker 1: You see, I didn't know that you could do that.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And you can also do that. I know that you
- 12:11Speaker 1: can do that on the website sort of kind of.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I didn't know you could do that on you can Okay,
- 12:19Speaker 1: here's the shortlist. What can't you do? Now? I'm only
- 12:22Speaker 1: kidding all these different things they can see and do
- 12:25Speaker 1: and do too well. And that really speaks volumes of
- 12:29Speaker 1: credit Truity Credit Union right here in our community. So
- 12:33Speaker 1: once again, we've got the celebration week going on, So
- 12:36Speaker 1: what do we find in the branches while you guys
- 12:38Speaker 1: are celebrating and showing your spirit.
- 12:40Speaker 3: So you could actually if you're a member and you
- 12:43Speaker 3: come in and do a transaction, you may or may
- 12:45Speaker 3: not receive some gift cards. So yeah, we're going to
- 12:49Speaker 3: be They're going to be given out randomly to places
- 12:52Speaker 3: around Barnesville that they can use here in town.
- 12:56Speaker 2: So come see us.
- 12:57Speaker 3: We'll have donuts that we're taking to our partners. Brian's
- 13:01Speaker 3: going to take some to the dealers. I'm taking some
- 13:03Speaker 3: to my community partners, and then we're gonna have cookies
- 13:06Speaker 3: from the eatery downtown and in our branch on seventy five,
- 13:10Speaker 3: So come see us.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Well, this is gonna be a lot of fun. So
- 13:14Speaker 1: all I have to do is go in and put
- 13:16Speaker 1: some money in my account and I'm already kind of
- 13:20Speaker 1: sort of registered for a gift card giveaway.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah, they're just going to be given out at random,
- 13:24Speaker 3: so definitely come see us.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Wow Again, the short list is what don't they do
- 13:33Speaker 1: Trudy Credit Union and it's a better way to bank.
- 13:37Speaker 1: We have our two locations here in Bartlesvilt and we
- 13:40Speaker 1: also have Yeah, you mentioned Oleitha Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas and
- 13:44Speaker 1: soon to be in aust Is that going to be
- 13:47Speaker 1: right downtown.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be right there. It's going to be
- 13:50Speaker 2: great location.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Right there where all the action is. Yes, right there
- 13:54Speaker 1: where a real movie was shot folks. So you know anyway,
- 13:59Speaker 1: FUSCA is great on the great community, with or without
- 14:01Speaker 1: a movie that was, you know, for an Academy Award.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I want to thank you both for coming in today
- 14:07Speaker 1: and sharing with us your spirit alright having alrighty truly
- 14:14Speaker 1: Credit Union Better Way to bank right here on K one,
- 14:18Speaker 1: the one you trust.
- 14:23Speaker 6: Thanks for listening to one on one with a professional
- 14:25Speaker 6: paid presentation. Fortun
