- 0:42Speaker 5: Welcome, Welcome, welco you listening to this hort shock show.
- 0:48Speaker 5: I am the sport Shock Wayne Candy, Good morning to you.
- 0:52Speaker 5: How was your w n B A weekend? Did you
- 0:56Speaker 5: get you some action this weekend? The ladies or back
- 1:00Speaker 5: on the court? Command you Greg, big Kenny, all of
- 1:04Speaker 5: us got our w n B A fix again, right, yes, yes, right, Greg?
- 1:12Speaker 5: You text me about how you watching the w w
- 1:15Speaker 5: n B A and all that. Right, that's it's better.
- 1:20Speaker 5: It's better than these preseason games.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Hey.
- 1:22Speaker 6: Well yeah, okay, I just want to make sure you
- 1:25Speaker 6: see that that's that's that of the East coast West
- 1:28Speaker 6: coast thing.
- 1:28Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no, no no no. This this
- 1:30Speaker 1: is the East Coast thing.
- 1:34Speaker 5: It's this is factual that the NFL has taken the
- 1:41Speaker 5: preseason off. I literally went to watch the Falcon. I
- 1:49Speaker 5: was just wondering, was Michael Pennox, the new first rounder
- 1:54Speaker 5: drafted here, him and Kirk Cousins are gonna man the
- 1:57Speaker 5: quarterback position. Really to watch the game, just to see
- 2:01Speaker 5: him warm up, maybe throw a ball or so. And
- 2:05Speaker 5: they say about forty players, but the Falcons were not
- 2:11Speaker 5: going to play. They had this long list, and I
- 2:15Speaker 5: was thinking many people. It had me thinking who won
- 2:18Speaker 5: the super Bowl last year? I was thinking who who
- 2:20Speaker 5: won the super Bowl? Back in February. The chiefs, oh,
- 2:25Speaker 5: okay one of the Falcons, not that I recall, Oh okay, okay.
- 2:30Speaker 5: So why are they like their top forty players sitting out.
- 2:34Speaker 7: I'm saying, they're not injured, they're not arrested, they're not
- 2:37Speaker 7: suspended by the NFL for failing and some sort of
- 2:40Speaker 7: drug testing.
- 2:41Speaker 6: They just sitting out.
- 2:43Speaker 5: They said they've seen enough for Michael Pennock, so he
- 2:46Speaker 5: wasn't going to play anymore this preseason, and they pulled
- 2:50Speaker 5: a lot of other guys out there. They say he
- 2:52Speaker 5: saw nothing in Game one that Michael Pennick didn't need
- 2:55Speaker 5: any more preseason action to develop be ready.
- 3:01Speaker 7: Usually that many people sitting out is called fans. You
- 3:04Speaker 7: know what I'm saying, just watching the game.
- 3:07Speaker 5: That sound like the people who come see preseason football
- 3:11Speaker 5: and what is the reason behind it? It's too short
- 3:14Speaker 5: of a preseason season. What is the reason they had
- 3:17Speaker 5: seen enough of Michael Pennix the first preseason game that
- 3:23Speaker 5: he didn't need the next two.
- 3:27Speaker 6: How long?
- 3:27Speaker 7: How many minutes we got to quantify some of this?
- 3:30Speaker 7: How many minutes he played the first preseason game. I'm
- 3:32Speaker 7: not sure I would imagine no more than probably a
- 3:35Speaker 7: half of football, and he scored what rarely does anyone
- 3:39Speaker 7: play more than a half of football in the preseasons,
- 3:42Speaker 7: But in that half of football he scored nine touchdowns
- 3:45Speaker 7: through fourteen.
- 3:46Speaker 5: I didn't even get any stats. All I knew was
- 3:48Speaker 5: he was a rookie. But they just got here and
- 3:52Speaker 5: they saw and they said they saw enough in the
- 3:55Speaker 5: first game. So okay, that's how the preseason is going.
- 4:00Speaker 5: I'm watching a lot of these other games. As I
- 4:02Speaker 5: said last week on the show, the first game of
- 4:06Speaker 5: the preseason for the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes played this weekend
- 4:12Speaker 5: second game of the preseason. Patrick Mahomes played, this is
- 4:16Speaker 5: the three time Super Bowl champ. Patrick Mahomes correct. Okay,
- 4:22Speaker 5: so that settles all that. That means everybody else in
- 4:29Speaker 5: the league should be playing clocking in and give me
- 4:33Speaker 5: a route, give me a tackle, give me a little
- 4:35Speaker 5: back pedal something. So we'll see all this turns out.
- 4:41Speaker 5: The Oakland Raiders decided they had their man, Gardner Minshew. Uh.
- 4:46Speaker 5: You know in that battle out there, they're going to
- 4:49Speaker 5: cut a quarterback battle.
- 4:50Speaker 6: It's a highly talented job. Everybody's trying to get.
- 4:53Speaker 5: The O'Connell and Gardner Minshew. They're battling out there. Everybody
- 4:59Speaker 5: talk that already sets up for one of those similar
- 5:03Speaker 5: to the Falcons last year, where it's like every other
- 5:07Speaker 5: week one of them are starting. Yeah, you don't get
- 5:12Speaker 5: to feel like Gardner Minshew really has a job. It's
- 5:16Speaker 5: just until he has a bad game, and don't you
- 5:20Speaker 5: have that feeling like we just we're just kind of
- 5:22Speaker 5: getting that out of the way so we don't have
- 5:24Speaker 5: to have that question every dp every day at practice.
- 5:29Speaker 7: Well, I think it's interesting with the Falcons is that
- 5:32Speaker 7: I was listening to some coverage. You said that they
- 5:35Speaker 7: saw enough idle Michael Pennix and that he and Kirk
- 5:40Speaker 7: Cousins will be sharing duties.
- 5:42Speaker 6: But they had Tyler Heineke.
- 5:44Speaker 5: In the game, yes, third third quarterback. What are you doing?
- 5:48Speaker 5: Why are you touching about? I'm saying now, if the
- 5:53Speaker 5: two if the two dudes sharing the job ain't in.
- 5:57Speaker 8: Why you got you got to have somebody. If if
- 6:01Speaker 8: Kirk Cousins isn't going to play, and they've seen enough
- 6:03Speaker 8: of Michael Pennock's, okay, we got to have somebody play quarterback.
- 6:06Speaker 7: Because either maybe I jumped the head, Why isn't Kirk
- 6:09Speaker 7: Cousins playing well?
- 6:10Speaker 5: You know, he's coming off in acl achilles excuse me,
- 6:15Speaker 5: tendon tear, so they're hoping to get him back by
- 6:20Speaker 5: week one. Them making that announcement with Michael Pennix makes
- 6:24Speaker 5: me feel like maybe he won't be and they're just
- 6:30Speaker 5: going to gear him up to be the starter through
- 6:32Speaker 5: the first couple of weeks. That's that's kind of how
- 6:37Speaker 5: I got that explanation, because whatever Kurt is going to do,
- 6:42Speaker 5: it's going to be right up until game week, and
- 6:47Speaker 5: I don't know if you want to just send him
- 6:48Speaker 5: out there with no reps. So I imagine here in
- 6:51Speaker 5: a minute, you'll hear that he's Michael Pennix is just
- 6:53Speaker 5: game one starter. And maybe that's why you're saying you've
- 6:57Speaker 5: seen enough. But I would like to say that but
- 7:01Speaker 5: around the league, very little participation in a lot of guys.
- 7:08Speaker 5: In this preseason. I had a game on Friday night
- 7:11Speaker 5: at a high school classic that I thought was going
- 7:13Speaker 5: to turn into a classic. It turned into a rainstorm
- 7:17Speaker 5: where I had a two hour We played the first half,
- 7:20Speaker 5: it was seven zero Milton over Buford, and then that
- 7:25Speaker 5: was about eight forty one when the lightning storm came
- 7:31Speaker 5: through and we rekicked the ball about ten forty seven.
- 7:39Speaker 5: It was a two hour so havelftime rain delay. And
- 7:43Speaker 5: I must have been.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Just catching because when I was telling you earlier, when
- 7:48Speaker 7: I arrived, it was about ten forty five or so,
- 7:51Speaker 7: and I tuned in and you guys were commentating, and
- 7:53Speaker 7: then the ball was kicked off. I didn't know that
- 7:55Speaker 7: they were just now kicking it off. I was just
- 7:58Speaker 7: thinking that the game was running long, and you mentioned
- 8:00Speaker 7: the rain delay. What do you do during a two
- 8:03Speaker 7: hour rain delay?
- 8:04Speaker 1: Just sitting me as the.
- 8:07Speaker 6: Yeah, as the color ants, the crew do you guys?
- 8:10Speaker 5: You're just sitting in the press box just trying to
- 8:13Speaker 5: deciphered when you know, if and when this would happen.
- 8:18Speaker 5: A lot of us felt like that coaches might call
- 8:21Speaker 5: the game. When I got the information that the rules
- 8:25Speaker 5: state when a game starts in the state of Georgia,
- 8:29Speaker 5: it must be finished, meaning they have to have a result.
- 8:33Speaker 1: So either you.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Can agree to a result between the two coaches or
- 8:38Speaker 5: you have to play the rest of the game. And
- 8:42Speaker 5: that was the big decision when they explained to me
- 8:46Speaker 5: that it was in the coaches hands, and I was like, well,
- 8:50Speaker 5: we'll be here to two am. Neither one of these
- 8:54Speaker 5: coaches are going to be like, Okay, the game over,
- 8:58Speaker 5: you win. They're not going to do this high stakes.
- 9:02Speaker 5: This high stakes it's seven zero, you know. That's what
- 9:06Speaker 5: I'm saying. That we play this game. I say, you
- 9:12Speaker 5: might as well settle in. The rule is in high school,
- 9:17Speaker 5: and I want to say it's a rule of cross sports.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Once the lightning storm gets within maybe eight miles of
- 9:26Speaker 5: the stadium, uh, you have to and you recognize the
- 9:32Speaker 5: lightning because it's really that's the aspect of it, is
- 9:35Speaker 5: not the rain. Then you have to clear the field.
- 9:39Speaker 5: You have to clear the stadium and you have to
- 9:43Speaker 5: wait thirty minutes. And basically each and every time you
- 9:49Speaker 5: see lightning you have to wait thirty minutes.
- 9:54Speaker 7: Okay, so a lot of lightning mean we just finn
- 9:57Speaker 7: to be sitting down here a couple of hours.
- 9:59Speaker 5: You're gonna be sitting a couple of hours now based
- 10:01Speaker 5: on how long it takes the storm to pass.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Now, storm passes, the coaches say, or the storm doesn't pass,
- 10:10Speaker 7: and the coaches are like, we're not going to forfeit.
- 10:13Speaker 1: There is no concession.
- 10:14Speaker 5: They have up until two am and say if it
- 10:19Speaker 5: neither conceives by two am, then they have to come
- 10:21Speaker 5: back the following day and finish the game.
- 10:24Speaker 6: Okay.
- 10:25Speaker 7: Now, if the game is rained out, is that just
- 10:28Speaker 7: a canceled game, or because I heard some games are
- 10:31Speaker 7: rained out, how do they.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Handle most if in those cases one of the coaches
- 10:39Speaker 5: probably conceded the game, okay, but you don't have to
- 10:43Speaker 5: concede the game. The game just has to be played
- 10:46Speaker 5: on the next day. So that's how we ended.
- 10:52Speaker 7: And the staff is all automatically inserted, like the refs
- 10:57Speaker 7: and the people like that.
- 10:59Speaker 5: It would be the same crew or whoever was on
- 11:02Speaker 5: the field at that time, except when the fan. When
- 11:05Speaker 5: the game started, they let the fans back in. But
- 11:08Speaker 5: you can imagine after a two hour wait, it went
- 11:10Speaker 5: from probably three thousand people in the stadium to one
- 11:19Speaker 5: hundred and fifty by the time we kicked the ball off.
- 11:23Speaker 5: That's a long wait, and we saluted those people that
- 11:26Speaker 5: would sit in their car and wait two hours and
- 11:30Speaker 5: about ten minutes before another kickoff. But hats off to
- 11:34Speaker 5: those young players sitting in the locker room. As I
- 11:37Speaker 5: explained on air when I was doing the game, that
- 11:40Speaker 5: was a long day for a kid, waking up at
- 11:44Speaker 5: six am in the morning to go to school, all that,
- 11:48Speaker 5: going to classes, then getting ready for the game. Most
- 11:52Speaker 5: of them pregame meals probably at three point thirty, so
- 11:56Speaker 5: by the time they kicked the ball back off at
- 11:58Speaker 5: ten forty five sitting, they are hungry. But they still
- 12:02Speaker 5: came out. They played with more energy in the second
- 12:03Speaker 5: half than they did the first. Maybe they got a
- 12:05Speaker 5: little nap there. We'll be back with more to the
- 12:08Speaker 5: Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Pty um chop on.

- 15:23Speaker 6: You're not.
- 15:31Speaker 1: You gotta.
- 15:33Speaker 18: I just win, ah hiling, okay son, someone said, and

- 15:43Speaker 5: Work back to the Swy Shock Show. I'm the swe
- 15:46Speaker 5: Shock Wing Gangs. He commands you. Greg McKinny in the
- 15:48Speaker 5: building on this morning, we are closing in on the
- 15:52Speaker 5: beginning of college football. Uh this weekend, if I have
- 15:57Speaker 5: my information correct, Georgia Tech and Florida State will be
- 16:02Speaker 5: playing over in Dublin. Do I have that information correct?
- 16:06Speaker 5: Command you checked for me, Dublin, Georgia, August twenty fourth,
- 16:11Speaker 5: No doubling, I said, Dublin, Georgia. Do they even have
- 16:15Speaker 5: a stadium in Dublin, Georgia.
- 16:18Speaker 13: They got a high school.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Yeah they don't have it's kind of like a stadium.
- 16:22Speaker 5: No, it's a little bit like not for Georgia Tech
- 16:25Speaker 5: Florida State. I guess yea, I guess they need someone
- 16:30Speaker 5: just tag it. I think that's the first game on tap,
- 16:32Speaker 5: that's at noon. This what they what they call week zero.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Remember we had that conversation, Yeah, we did. Unfortunately we
- 16:43Speaker 5: had a conversation. And this is week zero, This will
- 16:46Speaker 5: be week zero, and I still don't understand. I'm no
- 16:49Speaker 5: more clear on why there's a zero week. And then
- 16:54Speaker 5: it was the first time we talked about it.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Well zero comes before one.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Yeah, I get that part of it. But I'm saying
- 17:01Speaker 6: zero has no like, it's no factor in any of
- 17:08Speaker 6: the game.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Still means nothing the game.
- 17:10Speaker 7: Still, how do you how do you put zero on
- 17:13Speaker 7: your How do you put zero on a on a
- 17:16Speaker 7: it's a twelve game schedule, right, yes?
- 17:19Speaker 5: No, ad zero plus two plus three?
- 17:22Speaker 1: What do you have?
- 17:23Speaker 6: Confusion? That's what That's what I have, sir.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know what you got on
- 17:28Speaker 1: your page. Zero plus two plus three is zero plus
- 17:33Speaker 1: two plus three. That's fifteen. No, that's five. What that's five?
- 17:40Speaker 1: Five five, But it's actually six because the zero count.
- 17:47Speaker 5: They did stuff in zero, like they actually register to
- 17:50Speaker 5: win in zero. But you're telling me that that's still five.
- 17:54Speaker 5: That's somebody. It's get your shot in certain places.
- 17:58Speaker 7: Yes, around my house, that's certain places. That's where it
- 18:03Speaker 7: is around my house.
- 18:04Speaker 5: So college football is upon us, as I talked about,
- 18:07Speaker 5: high school is already here. But for my knowledge, that
- 18:11Speaker 5: is kind of like the first game or a major
- 18:16Speaker 5: big name Florida State.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I think is a top ten twelve team or something
- 18:20Speaker 1: like that. Ten.
- 18:22Speaker 5: A lot of people felt like Florida State got They
- 18:26Speaker 5: used to have a term called hos Yeah, do they
- 18:30Speaker 5: still use that? What's the new change? What's the new
- 18:32Speaker 5: word for getting holes down?
- 18:36Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 18:38Speaker 7: I don't know because I'm sure it's changed. I'm sure
- 18:42Speaker 7: it's changed because hose down probably evokes too many unfortunate memories.
- 18:48Speaker 1: People are so sensitive now you can't say holds them.
- 18:52Speaker 5: No. So Florida State back at ten after a year
- 18:55Speaker 5: where people felt like they was left out of the
- 18:59Speaker 5: national pick. I being one of them, I thought that
- 19:04Speaker 5: going undefeated, you are trying to use that their quarterback
- 19:08Speaker 5: not being there, which would have been fine if it
- 19:12Speaker 5: had been one game removed. But they went out and
- 19:17Speaker 5: won like four games, three I know, maybe even four
- 19:23Speaker 5: games without yeah, and one was with the Jordan Travis,
- 19:29Speaker 5: you know. So I thought that was impressive because I
- 19:33Speaker 5: thought you was ranking us as a team. I didn't
- 19:36Speaker 5: know I was getting ranked by the quarter the individual play, right.
- 19:40Speaker 5: And now something that I didn't mention the other day.
- 19:44Speaker 5: My quarterback, Stan White was my quarterback at Auburn ninety
- 19:50Speaker 5: nine percent of my career. But the last game against Bama,
- 19:56Speaker 5: in the last quarter of my Patrick Nick bo Mix's
- 20:01Speaker 5: father who plays for Denver, came in and threw the
- 20:05Speaker 5: go ahead touchdown because Stan got hurt. I didn't know
- 20:09Speaker 5: we was just getting ranked on stand I thought we
- 20:11Speaker 5: got the victory based on the team.
- 20:14Speaker 6: How work, That's how that's how I think it would work.
- 20:18Speaker 5: And that's a and and then he got hurt, and
- 20:21Speaker 5: you go and win another three four and your conference game,
- 20:25Speaker 5: they beat Louisville, maybe they played somebody they beat in
- 20:28Speaker 5: the comference game without Jordan Travis. And then you say, well,
- 20:32Speaker 5: you ain't got your quarterback, so you're not the same team.
- 20:35Speaker 5: I just thought that was wrong.
- 20:37Speaker 1: A lot of people did.
- 20:38Speaker 8: The priorities of the college football playoffs where it's they're
- 20:41Speaker 8: not gonna say it, but from that kind of decision,
- 20:44Speaker 8: their priority is we're trying to get the highest television
- 20:49Speaker 8: ratings possible, and so we have that. We can get
- 20:53Speaker 8: Alabama Michigan saving versus hardball, which we never had and
- 20:57Speaker 8: and we'll never have again. But we get that matchup,
- 21:02Speaker 8: and then we get the and then Texas we had
- 21:05Speaker 8: Texas and Washington. Washington is a nicer story than Florida
- 21:09Speaker 8: State with their backup quarterback.
- 21:12Speaker 7: And I wanted to ask, do you think that because
- 21:15Speaker 7: of that, that's how the season ended basically last college
- 21:19Speaker 7: football season. Do you think college football is going to
- 21:21Speaker 7: do anything to try and rectify that or to make
- 21:25Speaker 7: it right?
- 21:26Speaker 5: Well, they expanded to eight teams this year, correct twelve
- 21:29Speaker 5: twelve twelve to try and eliminate the twelve gaof this
- 21:33Speaker 5: year because if.
- 21:33Speaker 7: Something like that happened again or threatened to happen again,
- 21:37Speaker 7: do you think college football would stand for it? Like
- 21:40Speaker 7: I know Florida State eventually played their game. They were
- 21:44Speaker 7: talking about sitting out the game and not playing, But
- 21:47Speaker 7: do you think that there would be more than the
- 21:51Speaker 7: universities and programs that are affected being willing to stand
- 21:54Speaker 7: up and go wait a minute, playoff committee. This stuff
- 21:57Speaker 7: is I understand the is and the o's and the
- 22:01Speaker 7: bottom line of business, but this is you're starting to
- 22:04Speaker 7: encroach upon the sport.
- 22:06Speaker 5: I think they benefited that they were leaving the old
- 22:10Speaker 5: system going to the twelve game playoff. I think that's
- 22:13Speaker 5: the only thing that saved the table for being busted
- 22:18Speaker 5: right and turned over and turned over going to the
- 22:21Speaker 5: twelve right, So, hey, this will never happen again. Hey man,
- 22:23Speaker 5: we know it was unfortunate, but trust me, no, no,
- 22:25Speaker 5: this will never happen again.
- 22:26Speaker 7: And the other part was when you were telling us
- 22:28Speaker 7: with Milton and Buford that there were nineteen of the
- 22:33Speaker 7: players on those programs that were going to they said.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Power for conferences. It used to be Power five, didn't
- 22:41Speaker 5: it the PAC twelve is it's now gone.
- 22:44Speaker 6: Okay, well there's two teams in the PAC twelve.
- 22:48Speaker 17: Now.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Then they still give them the right to call themselves
- 22:51Speaker 5: the PAC twelve.
- 22:53Speaker 1: But they can call themselves a power. It's the Power
- 22:56Speaker 1: zero conferences.
- 22:59Speaker 5: The powers they don't count as a conference, so you
- 23:02Speaker 5: can't say five so steal five conferences.
- 23:05Speaker 6: One of them is a zero correct something.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Let's go with that. Let's go It will be back
- 23:12Speaker 5: more to Sports Jock Show right after this, kill them Square.

- 24:50Speaker 14: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 24:55Speaker 19: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 24:58Speaker 19: I had this hole in my heart and I never
- 25:00Speaker 19: knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when
- 25:04Speaker 19: my mom asks to adopt me, that hole was closed.
- 25:07Speaker 19: It feels so normal now to say that I'm a
- 25:09Speaker 19: part of this family. I am surrounded by love, I
- 25:12Speaker 19: feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 25:16Speaker 1: I am whole.
- 25:18Speaker 19: I'm finally enough, just as I am.

- 25:46Speaker 11: riding the unicycle. Sounds ridiculous, right, but guess what. That's
- 25:51Speaker 11: exactly what texting while.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Driving is like.
- 25:53Speaker 11: Your human brain only has the capacity to focus on

- 26:01Speaker 1: Don't drive distracted.

- 26:42Speaker 1: I'm all shot.
- 26:43Speaker 5: Welcome back to this sport shock show. I'm the sports
- 26:45Speaker 5: shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out here in
- 26:49Speaker 5: listening land. Big Kenny commands you.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Greg. It is Monday.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Hope you had a great weekend enjoying this last couple
- 26:57Speaker 5: of weeks of summer. School is back in. Colleges are
- 27:02Speaker 5: back on board some here early this month, starting to day,
- 27:06Speaker 5: you have a couple of colleges starting We talked about
- 27:08Speaker 5: college football, Florida State and Georgia Tech this Saturday. So
- 27:15Speaker 5: once that happens, it basically becomes five days of football.
- 27:21Speaker 5: As I've always said, it's Fridays of football. It's Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
- 27:29Speaker 5: And some of those games it might get rained or
- 27:33Speaker 5: weather get played on Tuesday, so sometimes you catch your
- 27:36Speaker 5: Tuesday game or only day it's been okay, it's.
- 27:40Speaker 6: Wednesday on the five Days of Foot to.
- 27:46Speaker 13: The MAC will play on Tuesday and Wednesday.
- 27:48Speaker 5: So starting basically starting Saturday, it will become just full
- 27:53Speaker 5: on five six days a week of football.
- 27:57Speaker 1: It is back.
- 27:58Speaker 5: Speaking of football, Tyreek Hill, who was name of the
- 28:01Speaker 5: number one player going into this season in the NFL
- 28:05Speaker 5: in the rankings, and everybody was shocked. I don't know
- 28:07Speaker 5: why we are so quarterback drunk. It's just amazing how
- 28:13Speaker 5: we see life of our team through one position and
- 28:19Speaker 5: never really realize that it's really the third people that
- 28:25Speaker 5: make you a successful team. Those are really the people.
- 28:30Speaker 5: It's those four or five people out there doing jobs.
- 28:35Speaker 5: It's the other d tackle because we know we're gonna
- 28:38Speaker 5: get out of this guy. Yeah, we know it's the
- 28:41Speaker 5: other linebacker. We already know what we're gonna get out of.
- 28:44Speaker 5: Mike's singletary. Right, but boy, if Will but Marshall come
- 28:48Speaker 5: bringing that hat, y'all might not score. That really is
- 28:52Speaker 5: how it goes. We know we're gonna get out of Dan,
- 28:55Speaker 5: but this other corner have a banner year. That's really
- 29:00Speaker 5: but everybody now is so quarterback drunk. It's like, okay,
- 29:03Speaker 5: the quarterback the Russell Will Russell Wilson in Pittsburgh got
- 29:09Speaker 5: several calls yesterday. Russell looked terrible. I said, well, he
- 29:13Speaker 5: was like nine seven of nine. It was like for
- 29:17Speaker 5: fifty yards or something. But the old line wasn't blocking.
- 29:24Speaker 5: He was checking down. Because that means most likely receivers
- 29:27Speaker 5: were not getting open. He can't block, and it all
- 29:32Speaker 5: goes to get right.
- 29:33Speaker 1: He can't do it.
- 29:34Speaker 5: It's a combination. But we have gotten to where it
- 29:37Speaker 5: must be somebody.
- 29:39Speaker 1: And you see that with the paycheck for the quarterback. Yeah,
- 29:44Speaker 1: which is is reach.
- 29:45Speaker 5: I mean you're talking about guys now make more yearly
- 29:49Speaker 5: than baseball or football, I mean or basketball. They're right
- 29:53Speaker 5: up in there with anyone at fifty five sixty million.
- 29:57Speaker 5: God bless him because it's more of the supply and demand.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Right when you look at it, I got thirty two teams.
- 30:05Speaker 5: I got about seventeen guys, I mean fifteen teams are
- 30:09Speaker 5: always unsatisfied and will over and take your man.
- 30:14Speaker 1: That's what they will do.
- 30:15Speaker 5: But No Allows, who won the hundred in the Olympics,
- 30:20Speaker 5: he lost in the two hundred, did not participate in
- 30:24Speaker 5: the four by one, has a little battle going on
- 30:27Speaker 5: with Tyreek Hill. He says that Tyrek Hill is chasing clout.
- 30:33Speaker 5: Now would that mean like chasing fame?
- 30:37Speaker 6: Yes, trying to be noticed.
- 30:38Speaker 5: But people already know Tyrek Hill. Yeah right, how does
- 30:43Speaker 5: that work?
- 30:43Speaker 1: Really? Don't fit?
- 30:45Speaker 8: No Allows Being a track athlete, he has a different
- 30:49Speaker 8: mindset than normal people. He feels like everyone already knows
- 30:55Speaker 8: who he is. In America at least they already know who.
- 30:59Speaker 1: He is, and they.
- 31:05Speaker 5: Don't put some respect. Can I Can I admit something
- 31:08Speaker 5: to you and not be held against me? I had
- 31:13Speaker 5: heard the name No Allows for like the last maybe
- 31:16Speaker 5: eighteen months until the Olympic trials back in what was
- 31:23Speaker 5: that June? I didn't know his face? So why does
- 31:31Speaker 5: he and I actually pay attention to you? Are a
- 31:35Speaker 5: normal person? Okay, you're a normal person.
- 31:38Speaker 8: No Allows is not does not think in those terms
- 31:42Speaker 8: as far as like how much exposure or faging that
- 31:46Speaker 8: that he has. I think that Adidas story with Anthony
- 31:50Speaker 8: Edwards is true, but he didn't go because like, how
- 31:53Speaker 8: do you give him a shoe? And I don't have
- 31:55Speaker 8: a shoe, and he hasn't won a championship and I've
- 31:58Speaker 8: won a medal somewhere. But I think he is thinking
- 32:03Speaker 8: that I've done this on the world stage. I'm the
- 32:08Speaker 8: world's fastest man barely. But no, there's no He sees
- 32:15Speaker 8: Tyreek Hill as less than as a civilian almost and
- 32:19Speaker 8: probably has no idea really about about who he is
- 32:25Speaker 8: and how he and how he's run and what his
- 32:28Speaker 8: his history is.
- 32:30Speaker 5: But this gold medal that nord Lyle's just won was
- 32:33Speaker 5: his first gold medal in the Olympics.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Correct?
- 32:36Speaker 5: Does he have any other gold medal in the Olympics?
- 32:40Speaker 5: At any distance? Two hundred four by one?
- 32:44Speaker 7: Now, I thought it was interesting that he was being
- 32:46Speaker 7: interviewed during the Olympics before any of his races, and
- 32:50Speaker 7: someone said to him, the reporter said, so you're building
- 32:55Speaker 7: a brand, and Noeli's Noah Lyles said, well, honestly, I
- 33:01Speaker 7: already consider myself a brand, and the guy kind of
- 33:06Speaker 7: laughed on some you know, so you that you got
- 33:09Speaker 7: that chip on your shoulder, and he's very open about
- 33:11Speaker 7: the fact that he thinks highly of himself. But it
- 33:16Speaker 7: seems a little bit unbelievable to me, for lack of
- 33:21Speaker 7: better terminology, that an elite athlete doesn't know another elite athlete,
- 33:28Speaker 7: regardless of what sport they're from. I mean, the guys
- 33:30Speaker 7: that play soccer for me, are probably the most unknown
- 33:34Speaker 7: group of athletes that are in sports to me that
- 33:41Speaker 7: I follow. But I still know Ronaldo, I still know Peley,
- 33:47Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying. I still know those perennial
- 33:49Speaker 7: names that lead the sport Tyreek Hill is one of
- 33:52Speaker 7: those names.
- 33:53Speaker 6: In the NFL, they call him the Cheetah.
- 33:55Speaker 5: Who who in the world that runs doesn't know the
- 33:59Speaker 5: guy that they called the cheetah? And I do know
- 34:02Speaker 5: Noe Lass having something going on with the NBA players
- 34:05Speaker 5: about the.
- 34:07Speaker 8: Championship or the a comment he made last year that
- 34:11Speaker 8: how can the NBA champions call themselves world champions and
- 34:17Speaker 8: they don't play anybody else in the world.
- 34:19Speaker 5: But the NBA is made up of the world's best
- 34:23Speaker 5: players that want to participate. No, no, no, Let's make
- 34:28Speaker 5: sure understand that like the NBA is an international basketball association.
- 34:35Speaker 5: It's open to players in other countries if they choose
- 34:40Speaker 5: to want to come play.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Some of them don't.
- 34:43Speaker 5: They'd rather just be in their homeland and whatever that
- 34:46Speaker 5: benefits them. So, but it's still an international. That's what
- 34:51Speaker 5: we proved this year when we talked about about one
- 34:55Speaker 5: hundred and ten to twenty of the NBA players went
- 34:59Speaker 5: back to their home country and played for their national teams.
- 35:03Speaker 5: So I don't understand when he says you're it would
- 35:07Speaker 5: be a world championship because we invite the world to
- 35:10Speaker 5: play in it. Now, in track and field, you are
- 35:14Speaker 5: the fastest known human. Always remember that everybody that's fast
- 35:23Speaker 5: didn't go out to a track, just like everybody that
- 35:28Speaker 5: is tall didn't go to play basketball.
- 35:30Speaker 1: We don't.
- 35:31Speaker 5: We're just going against who decided to come out, right,
- 35:35Speaker 5: But you're acting like they made every man on the
- 35:38Speaker 5: planet submit one hundred meter time and we're just saying
- 35:46Speaker 5: you're the fastest man known.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Man.
- 35:48Speaker 5: There's a dude that's like six ' eleven at steak
- 35:51Speaker 5: and shake, you know what I'm saying, Just like he's
- 35:53Speaker 5: killing the burgers and everybody's.
- 35:55Speaker 6: Like, man, that dude thought to be in the NBA,
- 35:57Speaker 6: but I didn't even want to play basketball.
- 35:59Speaker 5: How many times have we heard about different guys in
- 36:02Speaker 5: even our own country that had that talent but other factors.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Derail of them.
- 36:10Speaker 6: Do you think that Noah Lyles is trying to set
- 36:13Speaker 6: himself up where.
- 36:14Speaker 7: Sounds like he's trying to get him some clout. Well,
- 36:17Speaker 7: and this is what I was going to say about that.
- 36:19Speaker 7: I had a really interesting conversation.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Hill, sound like you trying to build a brand like
- 36:26Speaker 1: Kendrick Lamar.
- 36:28Speaker 7: My son had an interesting observation the day after the Olympics.
- 36:31Speaker 7: He said, Dad, you know, I watched those Olympics and
- 36:34Speaker 7: they were fantastic, Like I was thrilled for two full weeks,
- 36:39Speaker 7: but today, if I sat next to one of those dudes,
- 36:43Speaker 7: I don't know if I could recognize them. And I
- 36:45Speaker 7: wonder what that feels like to be the center of
- 36:48Speaker 7: the world for two weeks and then literally the day
- 36:51Speaker 7: after that ends, you're back to just being. And I
- 36:55Speaker 7: think part of that is Noah Lyles trying to make
- 36:58Speaker 7: sure that he remains event in this cycle until the
- 37:03Speaker 7: running starts back, until the other deals and endorsements starts
- 37:09Speaker 7: to come in. He's going to have to make him
- 37:12Speaker 7: a disc record. He's going to have to set him
- 37:14Speaker 7: up some sort of beef to keep people talking about him.
- 37:17Speaker 8: He may ha to go the Carl Lewis route, and
- 37:22Speaker 8: and he's well, he's been in a Tide commercial with
- 37:25Speaker 8: Carl Lewis.
- 37:25Speaker 1: That came out.
- 37:26Speaker 5: I saw that, which is disrespectful to Carl, because Carl
- 37:31Speaker 5: could he could have had like his own commercial house.
- 37:34Speaker 5: Because Carl won the hundred, the two hundred, the long
- 37:41Speaker 5: jump and the four by one hundred all in one Olympics.
- 37:46Speaker 5: So did he took in l A did not all
- 37:51Speaker 5: four goals in the one Olympics? The quad factor? How
- 37:56Speaker 5: you say that the quad factor?
- 37:58Speaker 6: I ain't got no matter, but I don't try a
- 38:02Speaker 6: top quad fractor.
- 38:03Speaker 5: No.
- 38:03Speaker 8: But the way I guess the way that that track,
- 38:06Speaker 8: the way we look at track now, that is that's
- 38:10Speaker 8: probably the best we could get. I mean, we don't
- 38:12Speaker 8: have we we're not like, we don't have that one
- 38:14Speaker 8: guy dominating track like he did at that time. So
- 38:18Speaker 8: we gotta have somebody who's and.
- 38:20Speaker 5: As I said, disrespect you're in the commercial like you
- 38:22Speaker 5: dominating the track, but with a guy who literally did
- 38:27Speaker 5: dominate a track. In one Olympics. It's the it's the
- 38:32Speaker 5: playoff committee, the fact we'll be back more than sports
- 38:35Speaker 5: Shock show.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Right after this straight sevens.
- 38:37Speaker 21: When I got my fifty, y'all do the du say y'all.
- 38:41Speaker 21: She got a man and he stuck in the fence.
- 38:43Speaker 21: He said he gonna kill me. Cuss he up from
- 38:45Speaker 21: up bed. We were changing a sight the knocks only
- 38:48Speaker 21: T sevens for the play supply jn't bowl.

- 40:56Speaker 1: Hi.
- 40:56Speaker 15: I'm Ryan Blady, a third generational race car driver, and
- 40:59Speaker 15: we dedicate all a lot of our time to going
- 41:01Speaker 15: as fast as possible. My Grandpa Lou is the reason
- 41:03Speaker 15: why my dad and I started racing, and I'm really
- 41:05Speaker 15: proud to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa
- 41:07Speaker 15: was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump
- 41:10Speaker 15: in the road for us. I've learned a lot on
- 41:12Speaker 15: this journey with my Grandpa Lou, and the memories of
- 41:14Speaker 15: my grandpa will always be with me. It's important to
- 41:17Speaker 15: notice if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems
- 41:20Speaker 15: with their memory.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Or having trouble with routine tasks.
- 41:23Speaker 15: Talking about Alzheimer's can be really tough, but if you

- 41:59Speaker 24: And now back to the sports giant wing Yandy between
- 42:22Speaker 24: logon so you can see the sports jank. I'll sing even.
- 42:27Speaker 5: Big shany welcome back to this wit shock shop.
- 42:32Speaker 6: I'm the sports shock wing gandee New York Yankees.
- 42:35Speaker 5: I know a lot of times and most of the
- 42:37Speaker 5: times nowadays, and when you talk about the Yankees, you're
- 42:39Speaker 5: either talking about Aaron Judd in a home run or
- 42:43Speaker 5: the Yankees winning or losing. Those are the big topics
- 42:48Speaker 5: when you talk about the Yankees. But one story in
- 42:52Speaker 5: specifics that stood out to me is the one about
- 42:58Speaker 5: New York Yankees outfielder.
- 42:59Speaker 1: Alley for do Go.
- 43:02Speaker 5: He is reportedly allergic to his own tattoos. Yes, his
- 43:13Speaker 5: own tattoo. When you pull up a picture of him,
- 43:16Speaker 5: he has sleeves of tattoos on both arms. It's very
- 43:22Speaker 5: well detailed forearms, biceps. But he is and has become
- 43:29Speaker 5: I don't know if it's something he just didn't know
- 43:33Speaker 5: or something you know, sometimes allergies and allergic reactions to
- 43:38Speaker 5: stuff come on late in your life. But the chemicals
- 43:43Speaker 5: cobalt and chromat he's apparently allergic to, which is found
- 43:51Speaker 5: in the dies in tattoos, and even with his batting gloves,
- 43:57Speaker 5: which he says is calls blisters on his hands since
- 44:01Speaker 5: twenty twenty one. I guess he's trying either goes with
- 44:05Speaker 5: a different kind of batting glove or just goes up
- 44:07Speaker 5: there with his bare hands. But the ink that's used
- 44:12Speaker 5: to chromat, which is used for curing leather, is found
- 44:17Speaker 5: in his batting glove. So this interesting story. I wonder
- 44:21Speaker 5: how this is going to play out. I was going
- 44:23Speaker 5: to say, what because this is sleeves of tattoo, This
- 44:26Speaker 5: is like or I guess maybe they'll give him some
- 44:30Speaker 5: kind of medicine he'd have to take from now on
- 44:34Speaker 5: the rest of his life.
- 44:35Speaker 1: How old is he.
- 44:37Speaker 13: He's I saw his age age. He is twenty eight.
- 44:47Speaker 7: And now I know with allergies, there are like allergy
- 44:54Speaker 7: triggers and then things that can reduce the symptoms give
- 45:00Speaker 7: you relief kind of thing. But with being under the
- 45:05Speaker 7: skin all the time, there is like no trigger period,
- 45:10Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying, like the pollen's building up,
- 45:12Speaker 7: or don't eat any peanuts. This is it's under my
- 45:17Speaker 7: skin all the time. So how do you medicate that.
- 45:21Speaker 5: It says he's gonna he may start taking dupicsic topix
- 45:27Speaker 5: shots that will help him. So just very interesting because
- 45:35Speaker 5: I would imagine it would have to be a lifelong It.
- 45:38Speaker 7: Have got to be right, because I mean, tattoos are permanent.
- 45:42Speaker 7: That's the thing about them. They're permanent, kind of like allergies. Allergies.
- 45:46Speaker 7: I don't really know people who like asthma. I think
- 45:50Speaker 7: sometimes people grow out of. But peanut allergies, shellfish allergies,
- 45:55Speaker 7: things like that, dairy those things are pretty inherent throughout you.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Even even polland.
- 46:01Speaker 5: Polland didn't affect me until my late thirties, so around
- 46:08Speaker 5: I think maybe two thousand and six, two thousand and seven,
- 46:16Speaker 5: I thought I had a cold, but it was a
- 46:19Speaker 5: It really was my allergies. And but I didn't have
- 46:23Speaker 5: a clue because up until that point, the pollen rate
- 46:27Speaker 5: never affected me, so it's not like you always know
- 46:31Speaker 5: your trigger. So I just thought it was very interesting
- 46:34Speaker 5: that he has tattoos. And the bat and glove part
- 46:37Speaker 5: we can easily fix. We can even just not wake
- 46:42Speaker 5: him or custom make it. But the tattoos, and it
- 46:46Speaker 5: just talked about his forearms. I don't know about on
- 46:49Speaker 5: the rest of his body how extensive of tattoos he has,
- 46:52Speaker 5: but you can tell on his forearms. It's a sleeve
- 46:55Speaker 5: on both arms. So we'll see what you, Alex, what
- 46:59Speaker 5: you can do with the Yankees in that situation. Cowboys,
- 47:03Speaker 5: one thing that.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Our man comanch you Greg, who's a Cowboy fan, hasn't
- 47:08Speaker 1: talking about.
- 47:08Speaker 5: Is Ezekiel Elliott is back. Zek is back to a
- 47:13Speaker 5: Cowboy unit. While you haven't been wearing your Zeke gear,
- 47:19Speaker 5: well just pull your shirt up just to show Zeke
- 47:24Speaker 5: some love with your belly. But now and then he's back.
- 47:29Speaker 25: I did not know that.
- 47:30Speaker 1: One of the stories.
- 47:30Speaker 5: I mean, they keep talking about Ceedee Lamb and the holdout,
- 47:35Speaker 5: will Dak Prescott do blah blah blah blah blah, and
- 47:39Speaker 5: I'm thinking one of the nice stories of the Cowboys.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Is that Zeke is back.
- 47:43Speaker 8: Because he just he's not I mean, he's not gonna
- 47:47Speaker 8: be what he was and he's at that magic number
- 47:52Speaker 8: for a running back.
- 47:53Speaker 5: But I thought you missed him last year in those situations,
- 47:57Speaker 5: those those times trying to kill the clock. You take
- 48:01Speaker 5: backs like that and start using specifically for certain moments
- 48:06Speaker 5: in the game. You're up by four, it's three minutes
- 48:10Speaker 5: left on the clock. Here's the kind of back you want.
- 48:15Speaker 5: A veteran back. He's gonna hold onto the ball, get you,
- 48:18Speaker 5: you know, just trying to get a couple of first downs.
- 48:21Speaker 5: He can be more impactful than his yardage shows. Now
- 48:28Speaker 5: it's kind of like Derrick Henry. The Ravens didn't get
- 48:31Speaker 5: Dereck Henry to be the Tennessee Derrick Henry. They got
- 48:36Speaker 5: him for a specific role. To his yardage might it's
- 48:41Speaker 5: gonna be down most likely, but his impact can be
- 48:45Speaker 5: the same because he almost becomes a specialty those moments
- 48:51Speaker 5: where it's raining, that is, you know, it's snowing, and
- 48:55Speaker 5: we need this kind of Alan Rich, where's the guy
- 48:59Speaker 5: back here? This sledge him? Yeah, That's what I'm saying.
- 49:02Speaker 5: We usually just get the regular have them, but now
- 49:04Speaker 5: we need and you know, we had a slash hit
- 49:07Speaker 5: the boy over there, the six three two sixty put
- 49:10Speaker 5: him in. See see if you see if he got
- 49:12Speaker 5: any tread in this snow it.
- 49:15Speaker 16: Is, And.
- 49:17Speaker 5: See if his trade or if they have enough tread
- 49:20Speaker 5: to stop this slip tires.
- 49:22Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 49:23Speaker 5: All we gotta do is get him moving. They'll worry
- 49:26Speaker 5: about the trade. That's how you sprinkle and Zeki. I
- 49:28Speaker 5: just I just remember moments last year watching the Cowboys.
- 49:32Speaker 5: I thought them two or three players?
- 49:36Speaker 1: Who was he with?
- 49:37Speaker 6: Okay, that's right, that's right.
- 49:39Speaker 5: We'll be back with more than Sports Jock Show right
- 49:41Speaker 5: after this.
- 49:42Speaker 6: No one could do with better like this two man crew.
- 49:44Speaker 6: They say, we want to hear to quota. Now what
- 49:46Speaker 6: y'allco to? Always into something that's.
- 49:49Speaker 20: My name only out the money here because that's the game.
- 49:53Speaker 1: People always ask me why I'm out John Boy Wayne

- 51:52Speaker 1: Joe Crack the dawn shot about got to do way
- 52:20Speaker 1: back to this one shock shot, this one shock wing
- 52:22Speaker 1: kN d.
- 52:23Speaker 5: Yesterday I was able to catch out some w n
- 52:26Speaker 5: B A action Atlanta dream with two big wins in
- 52:30Speaker 5: a row. Here Friday they beat Seattle and yesterday they
- 52:35Speaker 5: beat Connecticut. Connecticut is like a top three team in
- 52:38Speaker 5: the w n B. A uh so they're showing a
- 52:41Speaker 5: lot of life after the long break for the Olympics.
- 52:45Speaker 5: Another team that is showing a lot of life as
- 52:48Speaker 5: well as the Indiana fever with Caitlin Clark. Caitland Clark,
- 52:56Speaker 5: after these last two games, is now the best point
- 53:01Speaker 5: guard in the WNBA.
- 53:04Speaker 1: It's not.
- 53:06Speaker 5: Best rookie, it's best point guard. Find me a better one.
- 53:12Speaker 5: Please type their name, text me, email me, smoke signal
- 53:18Speaker 5: and let me be able to so I don't know.
- 53:20Speaker 5: I want to be educated on who this year is
- 53:23Speaker 5: better than this young lady.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Didn't she just win an award as the.
- 53:28Speaker 5: She broke the rookie record for assists in one season.
- 53:33Speaker 5: She has a great chance of WNBA record for assists
- 53:39Speaker 5: in a season period if she keeps up the same
- 53:42Speaker 5: pace in the season. And it's just Asia Wilson is
- 53:47Speaker 5: definitely the best player this season. Brianna Stewart is right there,
- 53:51Speaker 5: and I'm not saying that Caitlin is up for MVP.
- 53:58Speaker 5: I just haven't seen it better point guard. I haven't
- 54:02Speaker 5: seen someone who the other team focuses on so much.
- 54:06Speaker 5: Because you have to add that too. She seems like
- 54:10Speaker 5: she's a distraction to the other team. Does that makes sense,
- 54:14Speaker 5: Like she's a she's almost a decoy. Like they're paying
- 54:17Speaker 5: so much attention they leave all these big gaps that
- 54:22Speaker 5: other players catch Kelsey Mitchell Mitchell and those players are
- 54:25Speaker 5: taking advantage of that. You're so far up on the
- 54:29Speaker 5: floor guarding her. I got all this space to just
- 54:33Speaker 5: dribble when I choose to, so go ahead. Well, it's
- 54:38Speaker 5: the thing that makes her so neat so unique in
- 54:43Speaker 5: this league.
- 54:44Speaker 8: On the college level, guards can dominate a game scoring
- 54:50Speaker 8: and passing. They can be dominant in that way in
- 54:52Speaker 8: which we saw with her in the w NBA. It's
- 54:55Speaker 8: much much harder for guards to that big time score
- 55:01Speaker 8: or to be the focal point of the offense, and
- 55:05Speaker 8: it favors the forwards and the centers. So that's what
- 55:09Speaker 8: makes it rare and unique for her because we don't
- 55:12Speaker 8: really see this with guards in the league.
- 55:14Speaker 5: Yeah, stats right now, she's about eighteen points a game,
- 55:18Speaker 5: nine assists.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I think.
- 55:21Speaker 6: Had some sort of rookie record as well with she's dumb.
- 55:24Speaker 5: Double offense, rebound double doubles, Yeah, double doubles, and rebounding
- 55:29Speaker 5: the ball. And that's why even before they went to Olympics,
- 55:32Speaker 5: and I was saying, I said.
- 55:36Speaker 6: Every time I hear to the yeah, when I hear it.
- 55:40Speaker 5: So Ainger rees Is just had the double double record
- 55:43Speaker 5: for rookies, and Caitlyn Clark is now set the assist
- 55:47Speaker 5: record for that.
- 55:51Speaker 6: Y'all didn't have none of that, not the rookies. I'm saying,
- 55:54Speaker 6: just y'all, none of that in Paris, come home.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Come on.
- 56:00Speaker 5: You didn't have the league leading assist person or the
- 56:03Speaker 5: league leading rebounder at all, which would be injuries in
- 56:09Speaker 5: Caitlin Clark. And you're acting like that is not as
- 56:14Speaker 5: you here. I didn't say, Ricky, I said they both
- 56:17Speaker 5: lead categories.
- 56:19Speaker 6: Yes, in the in the w NBA.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Yea three of the.
- 56:22Speaker 5: Major categories, which is scoring, assists, in rebounds. Those are
- 56:26Speaker 5: three major That is it.
- 56:28Speaker 7: And somebody getting fired from the US and they run
- 56:32Speaker 7: on the goal still but you know here, somebody get fired.
- 56:36Speaker 6: Because now are I selling any jerseys? I can guarantee
- 56:39Speaker 6: you that the people who were relevant in the Olympics
- 56:43Speaker 6: to talk that we were having about the w NBA
- 56:46Speaker 6: and its players during the Olympics, none of those names
- 56:49Speaker 6: are being missed.
- 56:50Speaker 5: Well you would you would imagine when you when you submit,
- 56:54Speaker 5: who are you sending? That's what I would send. The
- 56:58Speaker 5: leading score whatever her name is, whoever, Here's the leading rebounder,
- 57:04Speaker 5: her name is, Here's the leading shot blocker, whoever?
- 57:09Speaker 28: Like that?
- 57:10Speaker 5: Like, well, that's four of them right there. Now this woman,
- 57:14Speaker 5: this one's the lady Rodman. We don't know what she does,
- 57:17Speaker 5: but she does it better than anybody. So w n
- 57:22Speaker 5: B A which they only have maybe about two maybe
- 57:28Speaker 5: three weeks left in the regular season and then the playoffs.
- 57:31Speaker 5: Then they start at the playoffs, which is I think
- 57:34Speaker 5: only two rounds. The playoff is not long, like I
- 57:37Speaker 5: was going to say, it's nothing like the NBA is
- 57:40Speaker 5: like a whole nother season. Yeah, the season changed for
- 57:43Speaker 5: two month process in the NBA so w n B
- 57:47Speaker 5: a interesting story coming out of Notre Dane. The man
- 57:53Speaker 5: swim team has been suspended for at least the year
- 57:57Speaker 5: after review found that the members were wagering amongst themselves.
- 58:04Speaker 5: And I've been looking for more information. So basically gambling
- 58:07Speaker 5: violations for the Notre Dame men's swim team. Man, I've
- 58:11Speaker 5: been suspended.
- 58:13Speaker 17: Now.
- 58:14Speaker 5: From what how I read the story, it seems like
- 58:17Speaker 5: maybe they were betting, like I'm gonna beat you in
- 58:22Speaker 5: this race, because remember all gambling is illegal, is illegal.
- 58:27Speaker 7: So I'm saying we're we're swimming against Northwestern. Both of
- 58:31Speaker 7: us are in the same event. He not in the
- 58:34Speaker 7: same heat.
- 58:34Speaker 5: Not only am I going to host down this guy
- 58:38Speaker 5: from Northwestern, but I'm gonna.
- 58:41Speaker 6: Smoke you too, So bet it up, bet it up, Okay,
- 58:45Speaker 6: I got I gotta, I got a stack on it.
- 58:51Speaker 6: I'm confident today I got a stack.
- 58:52Speaker 1: What you're gonna do? You ready? Okay? And we do
- 58:56Speaker 1: that for like the whole swim SA.
- 58:59Speaker 5: Then we got suspended from Yeah, from what I read,
- 59:01Speaker 5: it wasn't even through a gambling.
- 59:03Speaker 13: House between just between teammates team.
- 59:07Speaker 5: Yeah, which I guess now is.
- 59:11Speaker 7: Because I guess it could cause problems because gonna I'll
- 59:14Speaker 7: keep researching.
- 59:14Speaker 1: Maybe I was, maybe I was reading it wrong.
- 59:17Speaker 6: Well I'm saying, but see, I'm gonna need my stack
- 59:19Speaker 6: now because I'm sure that.
- 59:22Speaker 1: It is banned. We were.
- 59:23Speaker 5: I don't owe you that money, but I want, I want,
- 59:26Speaker 5: I want. But it was an illegal bet.
- 59:29Speaker 6: Right right, just like it's a legal violence jump off.
- 59:32Speaker 6: If you don't go get me my stack. I mean,
- 59:34Speaker 6: I want the race.
- 59:35Speaker 5: No, remember they said we had the meet and they
- 59:37Speaker 5: said we were suspended. It was illegal to be doing that.
- 59:40Speaker 7: Okay, now on probation, not with this race will be
- 59:44Speaker 7: I'm talking about legal probation, academic And then I rolled,
- 59:48Speaker 7: like I.
- 59:49Speaker 6: Really get back and you get the leastured about it.
- 59:55Speaker 1: For Meg Giant and Reach.
- 1:00:01Speaker 9: Don't Go Away or of the Sports Josh Show with
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: Wayne Dan videos coming up next.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Hear that.
- 1:00:12Speaker 29: That's the sound of your life, perfectly imperfect, beating in
- 1:00:18Speaker 29: rhythm to the world you've created. But every time you

- 1:00:30Speaker 29: pretty great. Don't let a buzz ruin it. Buzz driving
- 1:00:33Speaker 29: is drunk driving. Don't drive buzzed a message from Nitzs
- 1:00:36Speaker 29: in the ad Council, and now let's talk about something exciting,
- 1:00:39Speaker 29: life insurance.
- 1:00:40Speaker 10: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:00:43Speaker 10: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:00:47Speaker 10: have life insurance.
- 1:00:48Speaker 18: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:00:50Speaker 18: just getting started with our family and thought we live
- 1:00:52Speaker 18: forever life insurance, Well, it's the last thing on my mind.
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: What about you?
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:00:58Speaker 18: When I was forty, with a kid in and Bill's
- 1:01:00Speaker 18: piling up, I was worried how my family will survive
- 1:01:02Speaker 18: without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with the
- 1:01:04Speaker 18: insurance informant.
- 1:01:05Speaker 10: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:01:08Speaker 10: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:01:11Speaker 18: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:01:13Speaker 18: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:01:15Speaker 10: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:01:17Speaker 10: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:01:22Speaker 10: foundation of security. Because without you, your family will have
- 1:01:26Speaker 10: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:01:30Speaker 10: Log on today benefits or bills dot Com. That's benefits
- 1:01:35Speaker 10: or bills dot com?
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Us not I why sharers and we hold the world
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: ransom for Wayne.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Excuse me while I whip.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: This out, sure broadcasting live and it led to a jail.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: This this is the sports jock ship with Wayne Gande.
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: You palling up? Gain? Can you bring me down?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Against me? Down down?
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Come to come to connect, get gonna come to mag
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: Is it just.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: I'm doin.
- 1:02:17Speaker 13: I'm gonna go on.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: The way you vegan?
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: What right to this worshock show. I'm the sword shock
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: wing Candy. Good morning to you out there listening man,
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: glad to be here with you. Command you Greg, big
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: Kenny in the building. Uh, this morning. Interesting story. Command
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: she brought to us out of Major League Baseball considering
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: a minimum six innings for starters. Now, it would take
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: a couple of years from the article I read UH
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: to implement this, but basically the starter would have to,
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: barring injury, pitch the first six innings. Now, to me,
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: when I read things like this, that's gonna alter the
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: game in such a way, I immediately start thinking gambling.
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: First question, I would ask the commissioner and baseball hierarchy
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: is what's wrong with the system?
- 1:03:12Speaker 28: Now?
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: What am I missing? When I watch a baseball game
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: and I send my starter out and Commanchie up second
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: in the lineup, hits a home run. Then Big Kenny
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: up fourth in the lineup, hits a home run, and
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: I'm thinking, man, we're down for nothing, and we just
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: got this party started. And you come back and next
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: inning they put up another three.
- 1:03:38Speaker 17: On me.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: So I done gave up seven runs in one and
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: two thirds innings and the manager hit hit you with
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: the sign.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: You know, y'all.
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: When you give up how many runs did you say?
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: And two and one in one in two? Ain't the
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: sign the manager go give you with his hands and
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: this faint you better get on out of there. Boy,
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: ain't nobody got tired for that. And you want to
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: stay into what the six?
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: Six?
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: That's what command No, that's commandant under the proposal. Under
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: proposal that if a pitcher throws one hundred pitches gives
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: up four or more urned runs. So if you gave
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: up seven, you can't date that. You can be pulled.
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: You don't have to go six. You gave up seven runs,
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: So now okay, we can take.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: You out now.
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: And that's what I'm saying, the whole gambling aspect. When
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: you start keep making these well it's this and then
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: some of this. It is too complicated because everybody's gonna
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: be sitting there trying to what's the rule?
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Why is it pulling him?
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: Or well, you know he already don't threw one hundred pitches,
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: and no, I get to determine as a manager and
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: the team, how I play this game.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: And I thought, that's what I thought, that's what I
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: got to do.
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: That's a lot of it too, taking me you're taking
- 1:04:59Speaker 8: the stra strategy out of the manager's hands, like okay,
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: d having the DH in both leagues now that National
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: League manager doesn't have to he can't figure out like okay,
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: we're gonna put the next picture in this batting slide
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: and then have a pinch hitter here, like it's taken.
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: It's trying to make things as if the players could
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: just manage it themselves.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: Wait a minute, Wait a minute, so we can just
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: ropio junk over the fences until until we'd have knocked
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: out enough that the league a hard man, he'd had it.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: I'm letting him go.
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: Or six innings in which the point there is no
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: coming back from us having hit nineteen home runs in
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: these six innings. I don't, And I keep wondering who
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: in sports is relinquishing their power this way?
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: Is there no your heels in?
- 1:06:01Speaker 28: Is there?
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Though?
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: Is there no man that's not baseball? Who's controlling these decisions?
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: I can't, I mean because they don't make sense. Remember,
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: my first question is why.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: It's got one am I?
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: What am I watching? And what have I been going
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: to all these years? The things that you're proposing. I
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: was never at the baseball game thinking the two starting
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: pictures had to be mandated. I thought it was a
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: game of strategies. Me as a manager, I'm just how
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: I look at sports period. Everybody need to be ready
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: to play, from the fifty million dollar man to the
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: two million dollar man.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Each and every game we play, we playing the win.
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: Have you show ego at the door, which means that
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: I might pitch every pitcher I had?
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I was gonna haven't you seen those?
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: Look it's been We've been through five pitchers, and we
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: just gonna keep on. We're gonna maximize the rules. That's
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: how I really see it.
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: There are teams that do that where if they've they've
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: been on a long road trip, or their bullpen's been
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: doing a lot, or their or their starters have been
- 1:07:24Speaker 8: doing a lot, we have they call they have what
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: a bullpen game, where we're gonna start a reliever, he's
- 1:07:31Speaker 8: gonna pitch two innings, and then we're gonna put in
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: another reliever. He's gonna do like three innings. And this
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: like gives majority of the bull the rest of your
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: bullpen a rest because they've been they've been playing a
- 1:07:43Speaker 8: lot of games. Like even though that guy who played
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: who pitches one inning, he can't do that for weeks
- 1:07:49Speaker 8: at a time, He can do that for maybe three
- 1:07:50Speaker 8: or four days, but you gotta give him rest. So
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: they find ways around it, and I think that Major
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: League Baseball does it like that. They and they're trying
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: to bring back the prestige of the starting pitcher. Like
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: we don't have the we don't get a lot of
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: complete games anymore. We don't get guys like unless they're
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: you know, close to a no hitter, we don't get
- 1:08:16Speaker 8: to get to get that kind of picture.
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: Then you gotta let the managers and the coaches before
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: the man makes it to the league get back to
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: that tie rate. The putting him down and the cursing
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: him out. You can't get the same product. You don't
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: even want people to have to have to run for
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: being late. You gotta have those kind of you keep
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: you want, Randy Johnson, then you gotta let me handle
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: the kid like Randy Johnson was, throw that. Throw a
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: ball again, Randy, we're gonna be running all the way
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: to Hartsville. Jackson, throw another ball across this play? Well, Daddy,
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: I can't throw another ball across his plate. Throw it
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: it ain't It ain't a strike. I said, throw the
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: curveball or were running. That's how it has to be.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: You think, come in. You want to be like, oh
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: oh well you don't feel like pitching today.
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: Well, he just said they want to restore the They
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: can't even get in the car.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Let's go to six plat you don't feel like because
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: he don't feel like, tell him shut out.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: You know I'm saying you said that baseball is trying
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: to restore the prestige of the starting pitcher.
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: Who's asking for that? Like of the fans buy tickets.
- 1:09:40Speaker 7: Nobody cares if I see a dude come in and
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: I've seen these games where a dude will come in,
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: he'll strike out one, two, three, they'll go down, everybody
- 1:09:50Speaker 7: will scream. Then when he's back, another picture comes in
- 1:09:54Speaker 7: and all we care about is the cas that go
- 1:09:58Speaker 7: up on the outfield. All we care about at the
- 1:10:01Speaker 7: end of the day is if the braves are on top.
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: Nobody's going, Oh, that dude only pitched two and one
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: third inning. Nobody cares about that. And what what is
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: baseball trying to make it better for me?
- 1:10:13Speaker 17: For?
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: I didn't ask you for this.
- 1:10:15Speaker 8: They're they're these these ideas are seem to be coming
- 1:10:19Speaker 8: just from within gamran off considering because we see we
- 1:10:25Speaker 8: see bed, MGM and FanDuel at every game. But they're
- 1:10:28Speaker 8: trying to uh, They're trying to make it more appealing
- 1:10:34Speaker 8: to a younger audience. That's why the pitch clock, so
- 1:10:38Speaker 8: the games are shorter, and they have to make the
- 1:10:42Speaker 8: basis bigger to encourage more base stealing and not just
- 1:10:45Speaker 8: trying to hit home runs all the time.
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: Gambling gambling.
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: The new kickoff rule for the NFL.
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: Is I was just about to ask, I was just
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: about to ask you what is that watching watching the
- 1:10:56Speaker 7: game last night, was it Frisco and New Orleans.
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: And what do they call this kickoff rule?
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: Now?
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: What is it called?
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: Just a new kickoff rule?
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: Just a new kickoff rule. And see it seems because catching.
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: Her name the way the way they had poote excuse me, police,
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: the old kickoff removed any of those prop bets because
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: basically the kicker was kicking the ball out in there
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: was no return.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: And now the rule and now.
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: Basically is going to have some coaches in certain situations
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: not want the ball kicked out of the end zone.
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: It gives it puts just that little tad back into
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: teams deciding to return, which any of that increases.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Betting.
- 1:11:55Speaker 5: So I don't you know, I just don't like when
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: money starts watering down the product. I love that we're
- 1:12:04Speaker 5: all making money. I love the salaries that I see.
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: It's not that guys have gotten better. It's just that
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: TV it's paying more money. The salary didn't go up
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: because the players are better. It's just just the same
- 1:12:20Speaker 5: reason it always jumps. Now the audience is broader, the
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: commercial advertiser is more likely to spend bigger bucks to
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: be on something, but at the expense of what I'm
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: watching and the way of your handcuffing a manager that
- 1:12:43Speaker 5: has this little equation of how many Okay, we all
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: know regardless after four, Big Kenny coming in, you're gonna
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: give him two. Then I'm gonna come in and I'm
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: gonna give him two and we'll see because mine might
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: be two in a plus based on where we at
- 1:13:00Speaker 5: at that point.
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: That kind of strategy. You're saying, Oh, no, I don't.
- 1:13:04Speaker 8: Do that, and it's all it's all to protect the player,
- 1:13:08Speaker 8: like they do that to protect the players. Like, Okay,
- 1:13:11Speaker 8: we got a day off, so we don't want our
- 1:13:13Speaker 8: best starter to start today. He'll get an extra two
- 1:13:15Speaker 8: days and he can start Tuesday.
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: Host you sound like a divorce lawyer. No, this is
- 1:13:23Speaker 5: in your best interest, so you know. Jam up, come
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: to next time, sports.

- 1:13:56Speaker 30: a problem, they just blurt it out and move on.
- 1:13:59Speaker 11: Well, I love my job and my parakeet is missing.
- 1:14:03Speaker 6: How is your day?
- 1:14:05Speaker 30: But the real world is different. Managing life's challenges can
- 1:14:08Speaker 30: be overwhelming, So what do we do? We get support?

- 1:18:24Speaker 5: on ABC. Where's TJ?
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Now? He he?
- 1:18:28Speaker 6: Yeah, they got their own lost show now, Oh dude,
- 1:18:31Speaker 6: they don't never.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Leave the house.
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: They they just stay up in the loo. They nothing
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: like that. Well, look, we're gonna go into den. We're
- 1:18:40Speaker 5: gonna make about two hundred million dollars on the podcast.
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: Then I need to talk to you about a little something.
- 1:18:45Speaker 5: TJ Holmes forty seven years old. TJ was a point
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: guard at Arkansas. Really, yeah, I remember that's where basketball.
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: Nate Burlhamson is forty three. D Foxing now no CBS
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: natives on forty three. Former NFL receiver Anthony Munos, a
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: guy that was the epitome of my position, sixty six
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: years old, Little Romeo making us all realize that we
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: have gotten older. Romeo Miller is thirty five. Thirty five Romeo.
- 1:19:22Speaker 6: And when he hit the scene, he was literally like
- 1:19:25Speaker 6: like thirteen joy something like that.
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: And now he's been grown with twelve year old of
- 1:19:31Speaker 5: his old he is as grown as he gonna get
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: as grown as I'm thirty five years old, which means
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: I can officially start using youngster when I talk to people,
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: Hello on Youngster. In fact, Joe, we've been playing some
- 1:19:44Speaker 5: of his music. He's fifty four. John Stamos is sixty one,
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: Atlanta's hopeful quarterback Kirk Cousins is thirty six, and the
- 1:19:55Speaker 5: former President of the United States William Clint it's seventy
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: eight years old.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I did not have sexual relations with but.
- 1:20:07Speaker 5: Wont Kenny the man didn't have sexual relations with hey.
- 1:20:11Speaker 5: I was on his side the entire time. It sounded
- 1:20:14Speaker 5: like a valid excuse to me.
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: Look now, me and that woman ain't do nothing. But
- 1:20:20Speaker 6: but n we did do that, but we ain't had
- 1:20:23Speaker 6: sexual relations. Of sexual relations, we did not case close.
- 1:20:29Speaker 5: Nicholas Cage is supposed to portray football icon John Matten
- 1:20:36Speaker 5: and a cup and excuse me in an upcoming movie.
- 1:20:41Speaker 6: Interesting pick Nicholas Cage for John Matt John Madden.
- 1:20:45Speaker 5: I was thinking Jeff Bridges, Ah, that would be It
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: definitely looks like a Jeff Bridges, and I thought.
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: Nicholas Cage because he's got the range the person now
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: I need to pull it off. But Jeff Bridges does
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: too as well as looks a lot more like John
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: Madden naturally. He looks more naturally like they would have
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: to do a ton of makeup for a Nicholas Cage
- 1:21:14Speaker 7: to assume that role.
- 1:21:15Speaker 5: Yeah, Jeff Bridges is assumed. He's in that show, which
- 1:21:19Speaker 5: is a good series, The Old Man. You haven't seen it.
- 1:21:23Speaker 5: I think season two is coming out soon. But The
- 1:21:25Speaker 5: Old Man is a good series. Well now he's really
- 1:21:28Speaker 5: embraced it. He an old man. He don't try to
- 1:21:30Speaker 5: make you think he young.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: I was waiting.
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: I was waiting for the show to start, but like
- 1:21:37Speaker 7: back in July, they were saying it was coming in August,
- 1:21:40Speaker 7: and I guess I hadn't been paying attention to the
- 1:21:41Speaker 7: fact that we're in the end of August now, so
- 1:21:45Speaker 7: it's already on.
- 1:21:46Speaker 6: I want to check it out.
- 1:21:47Speaker 5: He and John Lithgow in that Yes, True Grit. If
- 1:21:51Speaker 5: you're Jeff Bridges, he played the bounty Hunter and True
- 1:21:54Speaker 5: Grit the movie that first Iron Man, he was in
- 1:21:59Speaker 5: it as well. To start the guy that ran Stark Enterprise. Yeah,
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: so Jeff Bridges, what I thought, somebody just kind of
- 1:22:06Speaker 5: more naturally looks like John Madden, where you just have
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: to add the you might not even have to do
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: the hair and makeup, just add the facts.
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: Do you do you think that maybe Bridges is too
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: intense in his acting, but now he's done some comedic
- 1:22:24Speaker 7: stuff too, he can be funny.
- 1:22:26Speaker 5: Big Lebowski I was thinking about, Yeah, yeah, I just thought,
- 1:22:31Speaker 5: you know, nothing against Nick Cage, but Nick doesn't look
- 1:22:35Speaker 5: It looks like you would have to make Nick look
- 1:22:38Speaker 5: like John Matt and.
- 1:22:40Speaker 6: That would be a hard sale.
- 1:22:41Speaker 5: Where Jeff Bridges looks like John Matt already breathed hard
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: like everything that that guy, and it comes there that
- 1:22:53Speaker 5: kept the turn dunking, the turn ducking. Have you ever
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: heard I've never had it. I've been I've been waiting
- 1:23:01Speaker 5: to go somewherehere. They said, just it just doesn't.
- 1:23:03Speaker 7: Seem like a natural thing, sports Jack like that seemed
- 1:23:06Speaker 7: like too much going on together.
- 1:23:08Speaker 5: It's a turkey's inside inside the chicken side of turkey.
- 1:23:13Speaker 6: Stuff that don't sound realm natural to me.
- 1:23:16Speaker 7: You know, they don't even sound like they would keep
- 1:23:18Speaker 7: all them animals together like just hanging out that they
- 1:23:23Speaker 7: let alone get inside one in the foul family. Yeah,
- 1:23:29Speaker 7: but that that's an American concept. Either of those fowls,
- 1:23:36Speaker 7: Either of those birds are the centerpiece of a meal
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: by itself. In America. If we take all three meals,
- 1:23:43Speaker 7: stuff them into one meal and serve it to a dude.
- 1:23:47Speaker 5: That made a touchdown by itself. Look, you get to
- 1:23:52Speaker 5: eat the turduck and by yourself. It's a hearty meal
- 1:23:55Speaker 5: after a touchdown. I can move back more Sports Shock Show.

- 1:27:12Speaker 5: last couple of months that I still don't get.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: But y'all are going to force me to talk about
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: this Hawk two girls Tua excuse me? Howk Tatua Hawk Tour? Yeah,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: it's it's and that stands for ridiculousness, is really what
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: it is.
- 1:27:32Speaker 5: Well, she threw the first pitch out at the Mets
- 1:27:34Speaker 5: Oakland A's game see a couple of days ago, and I.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: Couldn't understand why, why why?
- 1:27:41Speaker 25: What is her?
- 1:27:42Speaker 5: Y'all didn't have some Mets executive that had been there
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: for thirty years that needed some love. To show appreciation
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: to some you had to have at least one equipment
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: man or got it lined the field.
- 1:27:58Speaker 7: What nobody wasn't nobody that's singing at the County Fair available.
- 1:28:04Speaker 5: Command to you, y'all didn't have anyone else to honor
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: with that kind of prestigious moment.
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: She is there on behalf of an organization that works
- 1:28:14Speaker 8: with dogs.
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: Oh so that's what I thought it was for some
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: kind of video she put out. Yeah, she's supposed to
- 1:28:25Speaker 5: be about first and foremost command. I'm trying to I
- 1:28:29Speaker 5: didn't get the full store explaining in a way that
- 1:28:32Speaker 5: you know, this is a family. Her name is Rachel
- 1:28:35Speaker 5: excuse me, Hailey Welch okay, and now I can Hailey Welch.
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: And she's known as the Hoptua.
- 1:28:42Speaker 6: Hop Tour Girl.
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: Haley Welch was out at a carnival at someplace will
- 1:28:49Speaker 7: large random people gathered there.
- 1:28:52Speaker 8: There's a well, there's a there's a genre of videos
- 1:28:57Speaker 8: where people just interview people on the street randomly.
- 1:29:01Speaker 6: That's where the random part came from.
- 1:29:03Speaker 13: This is where she comes in, interviewed on the street.
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: There's a section of social media, Yes, about interviews on
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: the street. That's the people interview. That's that type. There's
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: that type of content that's there.
- 1:29:17Speaker 7: That's what I like, even non famous, non famous people
- 1:29:21Speaker 7: just me as a person stopping people. That me as
- 1:29:25Speaker 7: a rando, stopping other randos, asking random questions.
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: Okay, and someone stopped Hayley and if you want to
- 1:29:38Speaker 5: be a good girlfriend, you what's something you wanna do
- 1:29:41Speaker 5: for your boyfriend? And Handy said, uh, you got hot too,
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: you know, spelled that thigh. And y'all gave her fame
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: for that, y'all. The me part of y'all was not there,
- 1:29:57Speaker 5: the me part of y'all. Now, I was on the
- 1:30:00Speaker 5: drug page. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not gonna live.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: I wasn't.
- 1:30:03Speaker 7: It wasn't like I was off doing something that's going
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: to push society forward. I was off doing other stuff.
- 1:30:09Speaker 7: But I didn't give her fame for that.
- 1:30:11Speaker 5: But she has made a mint and has made herself
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: throw out the first pitch famous for saying, hok tour
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: and she's from New York And now other people are
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: was she from New York? I guess connection. I don't know,
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: That's what I'm said. The dog people set that up.
- 1:30:29Speaker 7: Now everybody's just attaching themselves to her and her hot tool.
- 1:30:33Speaker 6: And I don't understand. I really don't.
- 1:30:37Speaker 5: Okay, well, but she threw out the first pitch. I
- 1:30:40Speaker 5: didn't understand.
- 1:30:40Speaker 6: What how did she do with the first pitch? Did
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: it even make it to the place and see it?
- 1:30:45Speaker 5: I didn't see her throw it out. I was just
- 1:30:47Speaker 5: read she's twenty two years old and she has fame
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: on TikTok video.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it.
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: She prepares her she prepares to perform. Oh, okay, dressed
- 1:31:01Speaker 5: in Mets jerseys.
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: Now, now this is the thing. This is the thing.
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: The guy, the random person who asked her the question,
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: nobody knows him still, like he was the one that
- 1:31:11Speaker 7: said his podcast whatever he was doing, nobody knows who
- 1:31:16Speaker 7: he is. But now she is throwing out the first pitch,
- 1:31:19Speaker 7: so you never.
- 1:31:21Speaker 13: Know she's from Tennessee.
- 1:31:23Speaker 5: Oh so, no connection to a net I mean to
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: a Mets Oakland A's game.
- 1:31:28Speaker 6: No connection to New York or California for any of
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: that matter.
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: Speaking to that, it's been also a growing trend I've
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: seen where all the athletes wives and girlfriends now are models.
- 1:31:47Speaker 5: They become models or announce themselves as models after they
- 1:31:53Speaker 5: get married. And I saw a story about Shane Bieber,
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: who plays with the Cleveland Guardians. It's a picture up
- 1:32:03Speaker 5: there and his wife is now turned to be a model,
- 1:32:07Speaker 5: and I was thinking, and not just him, I just
- 1:32:10Speaker 5: been reading different stories when I do stuff research for
- 1:32:13Speaker 5: the show, and I see that this is not they
- 1:32:17Speaker 5: are marrying models, right right, that's the thing.
- 1:32:22Speaker 6: Like Tom Brady, Giselle, it's not right. I went, it's.
- 1:32:28Speaker 17: Right.
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: And then josellep she wants to be a mom.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: Right I married.
- 1:32:33Speaker 5: I met working at Starbucks. When we met, I wanted
- 1:32:37Speaker 5: a grand vent Instagram model, even if modeling on Instagram
- 1:32:48Speaker 5: a part time, because when I met her, I wanted
- 1:32:50Speaker 5: to the Venti Chid Loco t And next thing you know,
- 1:32:55Speaker 5: now she says she modeling. So keep you on on that.
- 1:32:59Speaker 5: I've been noticing it myself, like every time. It's and
- 1:33:02Speaker 5: wives are something. I guess when guys, even if they
- 1:33:07Speaker 5: married him and they were doing modeling, they once they married,
- 1:33:16Speaker 5: they kind of went to more of a softer wifer
- 1:33:21Speaker 5: right right now they the kicker.
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: But yeah, she went to a hairson butker type. Yeah.
- 1:33:31Speaker 5: So just interesting how everyone's wife now is a model.
- 1:33:38Speaker 5: Saw this past Friday when I was at the barber
- 1:33:41Speaker 5: shop watching waiting on my haircut. Worst sports towns in America.
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: Hmm, worst sports towns in America.
- 1:33:53Speaker 7: One.
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: So I'm gonna give you a big k and gee,
- 1:34:07Speaker 5: not in any specific order, gents, give.
- 1:34:11Speaker 6: Me worst in that the sport's not available. It's the
- 1:34:16Speaker 6: hard three.
- 1:34:17Speaker 5: The fan base, Sportstown, the town itself is just terrible
- 1:34:22Speaker 5: sports time. Doesn't matter whether the team is winning or losing,
- 1:34:25Speaker 5: just known as a terrible sports town.
- 1:34:27Speaker 13: Okay, I have I got my top three. There's no order,
- 1:34:30Speaker 13: but I got a three.
- 1:34:32Speaker 5: Okay, go ahead, Atlanta okay.
- 1:34:36Speaker 13: Uh, Philadelphia and I would say.
- 1:34:45Speaker 5: Miami, okay, big big key, big Kenny, I'd say Atlanta,
- 1:34:53Speaker 5: I've got Jacksonville.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: And Phoenix.
- 1:34:59Speaker 5: Mm hm, well, big Kenny, you did have one correct.
- 1:35:05Speaker 5: And it's just this was just the ESPNS and people
- 1:35:09Speaker 5: were talking and Greg actually got all three right.
- 1:35:14Speaker 6: I could imagine. I thought about Miami, but I was like,
- 1:35:17Speaker 6: they kind of show up, but yeah, Miami made going on.
- 1:35:19Speaker 5: They said Miami was the third, Atlanta was the second,
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: and Philly was the first.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:35:27Speaker 8: The I'd look at the Sixers and Eagles fans are
- 1:35:33Speaker 8: some of the rowdiest, rudest. They boo everything. It's like,
- 1:35:38Speaker 8: are they actually enjoying the sport? Atlanta seems the only
- 1:35:43Speaker 8: come around when the team is winning, and that's not
- 1:35:47Speaker 8: every time that they're actually winning, right, And then have
- 1:35:50Speaker 8: other concerns about doing this at the game where y'all
- 1:35:53Speaker 8: ain't coming to the game. And with Miami as if
- 1:35:57Speaker 8: you look at Miami Heat games, the crowd that the
- 1:36:01Speaker 8: stadium mount full until the middle of the second quarter,
- 1:36:04Speaker 8: it looks empty when the game starts. By the middle
- 1:36:09Speaker 8: second quarter. Oh, it's actually is sold out tonight, all right.
- 1:36:12Speaker 7: I remember watching a Miami game once and it was
- 1:36:15Speaker 7: halftime and people were just arriving to the game, Like
- 1:36:19Speaker 7: they showed the outside of the arena and people were
- 1:36:22Speaker 7: just showing up.
- 1:36:24Speaker 5: And I have said here on the show that playing
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: for four different franchises, and people always get upset when
- 1:36:31Speaker 5: I make note that out of the four cities I
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: played in, Atlanta is the worst fan base. And every oh,
- 1:36:42Speaker 5: I'm like, no, you really are the worst fan base
- 1:36:49Speaker 5: that I have ever played for. Right, So I'm not
- 1:36:53Speaker 5: surprised they're on this list. Two things hurt Atlanta and
- 1:36:57Speaker 5: Miami both of them are more transient city. So the
- 1:37:02Speaker 5: extra million, two three, four million, whatever the city has
- 1:37:05Speaker 5: grown has grown more from outsiders coming in and then
- 1:37:11Speaker 5: the fan that is from there, especially Atlanta. I think
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: they know sports in a way as though you would
- 1:37:23Speaker 5: have thought they really were Hank Aaron, Michael Jordan people
- 1:37:31Speaker 5: that they actually built the distillers dynasty of the seventies.
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: That's how they.
- 1:37:37Speaker 5: Talked to you. Mann No no, Ain't got not no
- 1:37:41Speaker 5: Dominique So and Philly from what we've always known, they're
- 1:37:46Speaker 5: a winning town, but they still don't seem like that.
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: Is embraced.
- 1:37:54Speaker 5: Then they booed Santa claus So and then the police

- 1:38:02Speaker 6: Them up so it be slippery, watch people fall.
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this.
- 1:38:07Speaker 19: Yo, Hi, I gave you a y Indy, I know
- 1:38:13Speaker 19: you lie.
- 1:38:19Speaker 9: Don't go away or of the Sports Josh Show with
- 1:38:21Speaker 9: Wayne Dan videos coming up.
- 1:38:23Speaker 4: Nets.
- 1:38:25Speaker 34: Are you prepared for an emergency or disaster, because it's
- 1:38:28Speaker 34: not a matter of if, but when. Don't find yourself saying.
- 1:38:32Speaker 5: When the storm rolls in, my time to find a
- 1:38:34Speaker 5: pet friendly evacuation center will have run out.
- 1:38:38Speaker 14: The scorching heat way will leave me powerless to cool
- 1:38:41Speaker 14: my insulin.
- 1:38:41Speaker 13: I'll face a hurricane without METS. Now that's a tough
- 1:38:45Speaker 13: pill to swallow.
- 1:38:46Speaker 34: Let's prepare so we all have a better story to tell.
- 1:38:49Speaker 34: Get started at ready dot gov slash Older adults brought
- 1:38:52Speaker 34: to you by FEMA and the AD Council.
- 1:38:54Speaker 33: Said.
- 1:38:55Speaker 35: You'd never buy your kid candy from the checkout aisle,
- 1:38:58Speaker 35: or forget extra diapers. You'd never lick your thumb to
- 1:39:01Speaker 35: clean their face. Never ever become a minivan mom. So
- 1:39:07Speaker 35: when you say you'd never leave your child in a
- 1:39:09Speaker 35: hot car, no, it can happen. Cars get hot fast,
- 1:39:13Speaker 35: and the kids can be at risk in temperatures as
- 1:39:15Speaker 35: low as sixty degrees. Fair night, never happens before you
- 1:39:19Speaker 35: leave the car.
- 1:39:20Speaker 19: Always stop.
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: Look lock.

- 1:39:24Speaker 3: Hi, I'm Smoky Bear, and I made an assistant to
- 1:39:27Speaker 3: help you out because only you can prevent wildfires.
- 1:39:30Speaker 5: Hey, assistant, Smoky Bear, call me Papa Bear because I'm
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: girl ailing up dinner.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Do you get it?
- 1:39:36Speaker 5: Yes?
- 1:39:37Speaker 27: Good job.
- 1:39:38Speaker 6: So what should I do with all these coals?
- 1:39:39Speaker 4: Don't just toss them out?
- 1:39:41Speaker 32: Put them in a metal container, because those embers can
- 1:39:43Speaker 32: start a wildfire.
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: I understand the steaks are high. Ha ha ha ha.

- 1:39:55Speaker 32: Well, it's beautiful out there, Sonny and seventy five. Almost
- 1:39:59Speaker 32: a little chili in the shade. Now, let's get a
- 1:40:02Speaker 32: read on the inside of your car.
- 1:40:04Speaker 5: It is hot.
- 1:40:05Speaker 32: You've only been parked a short time and it's already
- 1:40:08Speaker 32: ninety nine degrees in there. Let's not leave children in
- 1:40:11Speaker 32: the back seat while running errands. It only takes a
- 1:40:14Speaker 32: few minutes for their body temperatures to rise, and that
- 1:40:17Speaker 32: could be fatal.
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: Cars get hot fast and can be deadly.
- 1:40:21Speaker 6: Never leave a child in a car. A message from
- 1:40:23Speaker 6: NITSA and the AD Council.
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: And now back to the sports Giant, Wayne Candy. It's
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: way it's locked on. Say you can see a sports jaint.
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: I'll sing even the candy work.
- 1:40:58Speaker 5: Back to the shop on the sports shop wing Gandy said.
- 1:41:01Speaker 5: News coming from a whirld of bike racing dirt track
- 1:41:06Speaker 5: icon Scott Bloomquist is dead at age sixty. I since
- 1:41:11Speaker 5: he had a forty year career where he won over
- 1:41:15Speaker 5: six hundred races on the dirt track. He passed away
- 1:41:19Speaker 5: on Friday flying his vintage airplane. And a guy like that,
- 1:41:25Speaker 5: you would imagine those one of those bodies. He was cool,
- 1:41:29Speaker 5: a blaze of glory.
- 1:41:31Speaker 7: And I'm going to say that now there was if
- 1:41:34Speaker 7: he died flying the plane, there was an accident, there
- 1:41:38Speaker 7: was their medical emergency.
- 1:41:40Speaker 5: No, it just says accident, okay, flying his plane. Doesn't
- 1:41:46Speaker 5: say any kind of suicide or just had accident, crashed
- 1:41:49Speaker 5: the plane, the flame plane crash, So it makes sense. Yeah,
- 1:41:54Speaker 5: But six hundred wins, that's a lot of wind.
- 1:41:56Speaker 7: A lot of winds, a lot of winds, a lot
- 1:41:58Speaker 7: of night. Yeah, six hundred wins. I mean, how many
- 1:42:02Speaker 7: dirt bike races you do a year?
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: What's that?
- 1:42:06Speaker 5: I don't even probably won a week.
- 1:42:09Speaker 13: Yeah, you got to go to the next city.
- 1:42:12Speaker 5: Or six hundred wins. He was winning at least once
- 1:42:15Speaker 5: a month or something his whole career. Yeah, forty years.
- 1:42:20Speaker 5: He was putting in some work right there. That's a
- 1:42:22Speaker 5: lot of wins right there. But six hundred wins in
- 1:42:24Speaker 5: forty years passing and you still found the need to
- 1:42:28Speaker 5: fly a plane, you know, what I mean competitive people,
- 1:42:33Speaker 5: is a very competitive dirt bike race. If you've never
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: been one, it's very fun. It's yeah, it's a fun
- 1:42:39Speaker 5: race to watch in person as well. Travis kelce the
- 1:42:44Speaker 5: All Star, future Hall of Famer at tied End, has
- 1:42:48Speaker 5: an upcoming game show that will be coming out, said
- 1:42:56Speaker 5: why I know not at this dating smarter than not
- 1:43:04Speaker 5: the fifth grader? Are you smarter than a celebrity? It's
- 1:43:09Speaker 5: Travis Kelsey And you knew after that he showed a
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: lot of chops after that Saturday Night Live, Well, he
- 1:43:18Speaker 5: showed a lot of people that Okay, we have you know,
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: we've been trying to get your quarterback and Rogers into
- 1:43:28Speaker 5: and the sports co host and the sports hosts, the
- 1:43:31Speaker 5: the Michael Strahan yes yes, visual to Nate Burles and
- 1:43:37Speaker 5: we talked about him. He's on like Good Morning America
- 1:43:40Speaker 5: or something US good Morning, good morning show.
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: So that's been starting to become.
- 1:43:46Speaker 7: Well, and I think that sometimes I don't know if
- 1:43:51Speaker 7: it's My comment was geared towards the fact that I
- 1:43:55Speaker 7: think Travis Kelcey and athletes like him like a haton Manning.
- 1:44:01Speaker 7: They have chops, they have the timing, they've got the
- 1:44:06Speaker 7: ability to carry certain media platforms that don't have to
- 1:44:11Speaker 7: all be game shows. It's like they peg the athlete
- 1:44:16Speaker 7: into the game show. But Michael Strahan does morning TV
- 1:44:20Speaker 7: as well on Good Morning America, so he does reporting,
- 1:44:25Speaker 7: he anchors, so those things are available. But Travis Kelcey's
- 1:44:30Speaker 7: personality would lend itself to me to so much more
- 1:44:34Speaker 7: than just you know. And then with the are you
- 1:44:37Speaker 7: smarter than a celebrity?
- 1:44:38Speaker 5: Well, isn't this one of those situations where you're trying
- 1:44:44Speaker 5: to get your feet wet.
- 1:44:45Speaker 7: Yeah, build your resume. I'll start off with this and
- 1:44:50Speaker 7: before you know it, I'll be over there on Willie Fortue.
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: It gives the.
- 1:44:54Speaker 5: The Fox, and it gives the CBS, the ABC a
- 1:44:58Speaker 5: chance to see how people feel about.
- 1:45:01Speaker 8: You, because we see with especially with ABC, they'll try
- 1:45:07Speaker 8: different kind of game shows and have some kind of
- 1:45:09Speaker 8: They had Steph Curry host a game show, and now
- 1:45:13Speaker 8: with somebody like Travis kelce who has been rumors that
- 1:45:18Speaker 8: he's going to retire after this year. He might have
- 1:45:20Speaker 8: retired after last year. He's thinking about just like what
- 1:45:24Speaker 8: he's going to do after football, And a lot of
- 1:45:26Speaker 8: these aren't what we think of traditional game shows. These
- 1:45:29Speaker 8: are prime time game show.
- 1:45:32Speaker 5: And this kind of puts him in the mix when
- 1:45:33Speaker 5: you think about are you smarter than a celebrity? So
- 1:45:36Speaker 5: basically the competition would be against the celebrities that would
- 1:45:42Speaker 5: be on the panel. So I thought it was a
- 1:45:45Speaker 5: good platform of route for him, Yeah, just to establish
- 1:45:53Speaker 5: himself and this kind of lines you up for some
- 1:45:57Speaker 5: kind of daytime TV show hosting, you know, on the
- 1:46:02Speaker 5: line with Travis.
- 1:46:04Speaker 8: Yeah, first time like he had the he had the
- 1:46:11Speaker 8: Bachelor type dating show that was probably like eight nine
- 1:46:16Speaker 8: years ago. But that I think like there's always been
- 1:46:19Speaker 8: some kind of effort to get him on.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: TV coming out of Denver.
- 1:46:24Speaker 5: Interesting amount of time given to I don't know why
- 1:46:29Speaker 5: you just don't say life sentence when you get to
- 1:46:32Speaker 5: one hundred and forty three years. But Eugene Robertson out
- 1:46:36Speaker 5: of Denver pulled a gun on a burger king worker
- 1:46:44Speaker 5: because the burger king worker wouldn't take drugs for payment
- 1:46:49Speaker 5: of the food order. He received one hundred and forty
- 1:46:54Speaker 5: three years for this act. What the story is that
- 1:46:59Speaker 5: the work would not take the payment, that tried to
- 1:47:02Speaker 5: use drugs.
- 1:47:03Speaker 7: As oh man, I'm trying to help you. This good stuff, yah,
- 1:47:07Speaker 7: you ain't even giving me your own food for it.
- 1:47:10Speaker 7: This this burger king food.
- 1:47:12Speaker 5: I'm trying to give you a nice little three five
- 1:47:15Speaker 5: and you gonna front broh, shoot this whole place.
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: Up, sir. It's just nine ninety five for your eighty
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: six years.
- 1:47:26Speaker 6: Wait now, wait.
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: For the combo.
- 1:47:29Speaker 6: Nine ninety five.
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: Give your the number two with no no onions.
- 1:47:34Speaker 5: Look, man, I'm gonna give you this two grams of man.
- 1:47:37Speaker 5: Don't don't look at you, don't draw no attention.
- 1:47:39Speaker 32: Just lean in.
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you this two grams and math you
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: slide me the food. Be cool, everybody be cool.
- 1:47:45Speaker 13: No, sir, I need it's nice.
- 1:47:46Speaker 5: It's not nine five, sir, Oh, I tell you what's
- 1:47:49Speaker 5: nine This pistol under my shirt.
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: I bet you ought to take these drugs for this food.
- 1:47:55Speaker 5: Try to use drugs to buy the food. And the
- 1:47:57Speaker 5: worker did not take it, and so he pulled the gun.
- 1:48:01Speaker 5: So I'm not gonna steal the food. And then he
- 1:48:03Speaker 5: did discharge it a couple of times, not at the
- 1:48:05Speaker 5: worker but in the air.
- 1:48:08Speaker 7: So which which which only lends credit to the fact
- 1:48:12Speaker 7: that you hire on your own supply.
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: You're not a good business man, sir.
- 1:48:17Speaker 36: You not.
- 1:48:17Speaker 6: You just out here experimenting with drugs.
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: Well, if you're selling drugs and don't have ten dollars
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: kind of says you're a bad drug dealers. Whatever you got,
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: you doing wrong. We'll be back right after this.
- 1:48:38Speaker 28: You all.
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: I mean, why I'm crying.
- 1:48:40Speaker 4: I'm canning big You.
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: Wayne gave me something I don't. Don't go away.

- 1:49:28Speaker 1: Hi, we're the Googoo Dolls.
- 1:49:30Speaker 17: We're fortunate that our daughters have what they need to
- 1:49:32Speaker 17: grow and learn, but that isn't the case for nearly
- 1:49:34Speaker 17: thirteen million kids in the US that struggle with hunger.
- 1:49:37Speaker 36: Child in hunger is a heartbreaking reality that Feeding America
- 1:49:40Speaker 36: is working to change. Each year, the Feeding American network
- 1:49:43Speaker 36: of food banks rescues billions of pounds of good food
- 1:49:46Speaker 36: that would have gone to waste and provides it to
- 1:49:48Speaker 36: families and children in need.
- 1:49:49Speaker 17: You can help kids in need in your community by
- 1:49:51Speaker 17: visiting Feeding America dot org, brought.
- 1:49:54Speaker 11: To you by Feeding America and the AD Council.
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 1:50:01Speaker 10: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:50:05Speaker 10: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:50:08Speaker 10: have life insurance.
- 1:50:09Speaker 18: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:50:11Speaker 18: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 1:50:13Speaker 18: forever life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:50:16Speaker 6: What about you?
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:50:19Speaker 18: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:50:21Speaker 18: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:50:23Speaker 18: survive without me. That's when I'm in an appointment with
- 1:50:25Speaker 18: the insurance informant.
- 1:50:26Speaker 10: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:50:29Speaker 10: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:50:32Speaker 18: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:50:34Speaker 18: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:50:36Speaker 10: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:50:39Speaker 10: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 1:50:41Speaker 10: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:50:43Speaker 10: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:50:47Speaker 10: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:50:52Speaker 10: Log on today benefits or bills dot Com. That's benefits
- 1:50:56Speaker 10: or bills dot com.
- 1:51:00Speaker 38: And now back to the sports job Wayne Gamsey, It's
- 1:51:06Speaker 38: time for the school board when we put a spin
- 1:51:09Speaker 38: on life and sports and how they intermingle.
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: On the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy Stanning. Yeah,
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: I mean several kind of heads for the stakes.
- 1:51:38Speaker 5: Better tramping way back to this War Shock show. I'm
- 1:51:42Speaker 5: this War Shocks Wayne gandee esc inmates. Some bit cuts
- 1:51:45Speaker 5: this last week, letting r G three go.
- 1:51:48Speaker 28: Uh.
- 1:51:49Speaker 5: Some people say it's for other reasons than money, but
- 1:51:52Speaker 5: the ESPN says his budget cuts and we have seen
- 1:51:55Speaker 5: them try to trim the fat. I think in the
- 1:51:58Speaker 5: sports world this is going to be more and more consistent.
- 1:52:04Speaker 5: I think that at the five year window, you're going
- 1:52:10Speaker 5: to see these networks and these streaming services want to
- 1:52:13Speaker 5: refresh and replenish the name. They you know, it's just
- 1:52:18Speaker 5: they're not going to try to establish the brand because
- 1:52:23Speaker 5: that's the generation of generations. They're not stuck on general.
- 1:52:28Speaker 5: Even the millennials commandche Gregg's era, which is not that
- 1:52:33Speaker 5: far from me in age, but that era is not
- 1:52:36Speaker 5: necessarily stuck on.
- 1:52:39Speaker 13: Uh.
- 1:52:39Speaker 5: The Big Kenny's era, which is mine, is more of
- 1:52:44Speaker 5: if they were.
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: Bud Light.
- 1:52:48Speaker 5: But bud Light, they don't care who you get to
- 1:52:52Speaker 5: put in the Heineken commercial. That doesn't affect them. That's
- 1:52:56Speaker 5: what they want to bud Light, and you couldn't move
- 1:53:00Speaker 5: them from that.
- 1:53:01Speaker 6: You get the Pig put put them in the bud
- 1:53:03Speaker 6: like commercial, and now it's Pig.
- 1:53:05Speaker 5: And now I think this is showing, and I just
- 1:53:08Speaker 5: get that feeling about certain jobs. You're going to see
- 1:53:11Speaker 5: more and more of a carousel warming to the next
- 1:53:15Speaker 5: name that comes out that I can put in that
- 1:53:19Speaker 5: I don't have to remind people of that name, right,
- 1:53:23Speaker 5: it's just already you know, you take RG three out
- 1:53:26Speaker 5: and who's just retired Jason Kelsey, Yeah, Jesse, and then
- 1:53:32Speaker 5: five years from now somebody else is in that same loop.
- 1:53:37Speaker 5: And that's where you go that's who you start giving
- 1:53:39Speaker 5: the big money too. That next big contract that are
- 1:53:43Speaker 5: RG three will get from some networks.
- 1:53:45Speaker 7: I don't now out of it, but do you think
- 1:53:48Speaker 7: that sometimes that the willingness of this generation to overturn
- 1:53:54Speaker 7: personalities can hamper one's ability to earn a decent wage
- 1:54:01Speaker 7: at it because they don't really care who you put
- 1:54:03Speaker 7: in front of this camera. They just want to be
- 1:54:06Speaker 7: somebody that it wasn't last year, you know what I mean.
- 1:54:09Speaker 7: So for me to come and go, hey, I'm the
- 1:54:11Speaker 7: guy that you should be hiring because I bring this,
- 1:54:14Speaker 7: They want how many followers you got, you know what
- 1:54:16Speaker 7: I mean? They start looking at quantifiers like that, and
- 1:54:20Speaker 7: maybeg RG three skill level isn't really that necessary anymore.
- 1:54:25Speaker 7: We've seen some of these commentators.
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: They don't.
- 1:54:27Speaker 5: They're not that knowledgeable about the actual sport. They just
- 1:54:31Speaker 5: are more personality on air. Yeah, and you don't have
- 1:54:34Speaker 5: to have as much ready information right anymore. Because that's
- 1:54:43Speaker 5: why I pay command you Greg three seventy five a
- 1:54:48Speaker 5: year right to just sit where he's sitting and spit
- 1:54:52Speaker 5: out information stats. He will do all the homework. I
- 1:54:58Speaker 5: just need you to dress the part, look the part,
- 1:55:00Speaker 5: show up on time and we'll and as long as
- 1:55:05Speaker 5: you can read.
- 1:55:06Speaker 7: College game Day, he has a guy called the Bear
- 1:55:08Speaker 7: where he does all of the analytics for the gambling
- 1:55:12Speaker 7: and he sets the lines and he tells you what
- 1:55:14Speaker 7: the spread is and they don't know any of that stuff.
- 1:55:17Speaker 6: They just let him do it.
- 1:55:19Speaker 5: And I'm saying that from a since you just get
- 1:55:21Speaker 5: that feel. They're not gonna go the John Madden as
- 1:55:25Speaker 5: we talked about, where you build a kind of iconic
- 1:55:29Speaker 5: spot for yourself. I see that more of Patrick Mahomes retires,
- 1:55:35Speaker 5: and if Patrick Mahomes wants Tony Romo's job, he's gonna
- 1:55:41Speaker 5: have it right the same way that Troy eight not Troyman.
- 1:55:48Speaker 5: Tom Brady jump to Broadcast Team one. Not even sure
- 1:55:54Speaker 5: Tom Brady wants to do this job. But if Tom
- 1:55:57Speaker 5: Brady wants this job, that's where he's gonna go. Broadcast
- 1:56:01Speaker 5: Team one. That's what happens. And I think that's the
- 1:56:05Speaker 5: new trend. You're just going to find those people with names,
- 1:56:10Speaker 5: especially quarterbacks, they're just going to be able to push.
- 1:56:14Speaker 5: And I'm not talking about a year to year. I'm
- 1:56:16Speaker 5: talking about when you signed that four and you'll do
- 1:56:20Speaker 5: whatever coming up. When you're about to come up. They're
- 1:56:24Speaker 5: gonna go seek.
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: That person and at some point, well.
- 1:56:33Speaker 7: I would have thought that by now they'd have run
- 1:56:35Speaker 7: out of programs to insert former athletes into commentate. What
- 1:56:40Speaker 7: they haven't, So it'll, you know, RG three will find
- 1:56:44Speaker 7: someplace to go.
- 1:56:45Speaker 5: Oh yeah, Fox, Yeah, plenty because the competition is great.
- 1:56:48Speaker 5: Was talking about there has been a block put on Disney, Fox,
- 1:56:54Speaker 5: one of brothers, those three comprised Venue Sports, right, but
- 1:57:01Speaker 5: Fooboo Sports TV has gotten an injunction, yes, basically saying.
- 1:57:08Speaker 8: They filed an anti trust lawsuit because it's ESPN, Warner Brothers, Disney.
- 1:57:17Speaker 5: Basically they're saying that those three companies calling themselves Venue
- 1:57:22Speaker 5: are monopoly, right, Yes, that's what they're saying. Yeah, let's
- 1:57:26Speaker 5: let's let's kind of get back because you say anti trusting,
- 1:57:28Speaker 5: And basically they're saying those three companies have come together
- 1:57:32Speaker 5: and basically colluded to make a monopoly basically on sports entertainment. Yes,
- 1:57:39Speaker 5: and they're calling themselves Venue to try to throw us
- 1:57:42Speaker 5: off the scent. So no, no, we ain't Fox, We Venue. Right,
- 1:57:51Speaker 5: see the Fox logo, it's the wait to wait a minute.
- 1:57:54Speaker 5: That's the dude that owned Fox. He got Fox on
- 1:57:57Speaker 5: the back of his shirt.
- 1:57:58Speaker 28: What is that?
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, that's not us.
- 1:58:01Speaker 5: We're not broadcasting that game that's on venue.
- 1:58:04Speaker 8: Oh but it's got the Fox signal symbols, and it's
- 1:58:10Speaker 8: got the Fox broadcast.
- 1:58:13Speaker 6: It's got the satellite signature and everything. No, I think
- 1:58:18Speaker 6: that's a wolf tail, y'all getting the two tails mixed up.
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: Yeah, we always confused foxes wolves and we are in
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: the ocean. The truth is he will throw your in
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: the ocean.
- 1:58:36Speaker 27: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Judge

- 2:00:09Speaker 5: on a flight bound for Ireland. And it's stayed with
- 2:00:14Speaker 5: me because I kept thinking, well it urination is either
- 2:00:17Speaker 5: you did it or you didn't, right, there's no in between.
- 2:00:20Speaker 5: It says he urinated on a passenger. So you either
- 2:00:24Speaker 5: urinated on the passenger or you didn't.
- 2:00:26Speaker 17: Right.
- 2:00:27Speaker 1: I don't know why they's an a leegend. Somebody urinated

- 2:00:38Speaker 5: But he has been arrested for this ordeal. I would
- 2:00:42Speaker 5: love to see him standing in front of judge. He
- 2:00:44Speaker 5: was handcuffed at Logan Airport on disturbing the peace and
- 2:00:51Speaker 5: disorderly conduct. So we will see how this case of
- 2:00:56Speaker 5: urination turns out from this.
- 2:00:59Speaker 7: To her and hadn't even gotten on the plane yet
