Speaker 1: How long you guys been around.
• 1:34
Speaker 4: We opened in 2017.
• 1:37
Speaker 4: So we've been around since then and we've done.
• 1:39
Speaker 4: We try and do two car shows a year all for charity, 100%.
• 1:43
Speaker 4: And then we also do assistant living homes and things like that.
• 1:49
Speaker 4: Everything is voluntary and we get paid for nothing, but we also host events as well Everything for charity.
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: Gotcha.
• 1:56
Speaker 1: Well, that's mighty notable.
• 1:58
Speaker 1: The Champions Hot Rod Car Club consists of what kind of cars?
• 2:06
Speaker 4: We have all types, everything is open.
• 2:09
Speaker 4: So we don't we don't want to discriminate against any make and model, even though it might be a Honda.
• 2:15
Speaker 4: So anyway, now I, we, I gave it quite a bit of thought and there's a lot of car clubs that only allow certain years, certain, you know, not so much makes, but just certain years.
• 2:30
Speaker 4: So our car shows, we have an open class.
• 2:34
Speaker 4: So I thought we'd just keep that in line with the anybody that wants to join the club as well.
• 2:41
Speaker 4: So we have Bugatti's, we have different all kinds of.
• 2:45
Speaker 4: We got V-Sports, we got all sorts of types.
• 2:49
Speaker 2: So we put your poster up on the screen as well.
• 2:53
Speaker 2: You can't see it, but the folks that are watching can, so the whole flyers are here as well.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, I noticed like it looks like a 37 Ford coop with a big blower sticking out of the hood.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: You got one of those.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: Is that your car?
• 3:06
Speaker 4: No, mine is on the, it's on.
• 3:09
Speaker 4: The one of mine is on our club emblem the 38 Master Deluxe, the Ridley, the Master Deluxe, yeah yeah, chevy Master Deluxe.
• 3:23
Speaker 4: And then I've got a 68 Chevelle Super Sport, and then my wife has a 79 Berliletta.
• 3:31
  Speaker 4: Oh, chevy.
• 3:37
Speaker 1: So the Deluxe that you have, the Master Deluxe, is that a stock?
• 3:42
  Speaker 4: car?
• 3:43
  Speaker 4: It is not.
• 3:45
Speaker 4: It's completely chassis off restoration.
• 3:49
Speaker 4: It's got the 350 in it, it's got a tilt wheel, it's got a Nova front end.
• 3:54
  Speaker 4: So it's it's all.
• 3:56
Speaker 4: It's modified completely, but the body is is all original and some of the interior is the dashboard and things of that nature.
• 4:06
Speaker 1: Gotcha, so you did.
• 4:07
Speaker 1: Did you buy it that way or did you make the mods?
• 4:10
Speaker 4: No, I bought it, as is, from a guy in Georgia.
• 4:14
Speaker 4: He gave me a big five inch stack of everything that he had done to it and all the specs.
• 4:19
Speaker 1: So so how did you find out about the card?
• 4:22
Speaker 1: You find it online.
• 4:23
Speaker 4: No, a friend of mine who builds pools.
• 4:26
Speaker 4: He's a Ford guy and he picked it up for next to nothing.
• 4:31
Speaker 4: So he wanted to flip it and add to his Ford collection.
• 4:35
Speaker 4: So we struck a deal and I was happy about it because three days later I was offered double what I paid for it.
• 4:43
Speaker 4: So Wow, well, my wife wanted me, she wanted me to sell it.
• 4:47
Speaker 4: I said, well, I haven't even had a chance to look good at it yet.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: So Obviously you're in love with the car.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: Oh, absolutely, yeah, yes, especially the fact that somebody's offered you double the money.
• 5:00
Speaker 1: Yes, you could have.
• 5:01
Speaker 1: You could have bumped it up quite a bit, but you're all into this thing.
• 5:06
Speaker 1: Yes, sir, uh-huh, all right.
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: Well, I can't imagine that you're a hot rod.
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: It's almost a disease.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: We we know because we all have it as well.
• 5:17
Speaker 1: All right, so hamp champions, hot rod car club, all makes and all models.
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: I like that.
• 5:23
Speaker 1: I got a friend of mine, craig Bierman, who has a speed and sport chrome plating.
• 5:28
Speaker 1: He has a A chrome and coffee event once a month, first Sunday of the month, and it's all makes and models.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: Run what you're wrong, basically, yep, and you run it right over there to the park a lot and park it and everybody Chats it up and google is an otter, yep.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: And then has breakfast there at the avalan diner on first Sunday of the month.

• 14:33
Speaker 1: Uh 405 horsepower Ranger Raptor starts at $57,065 with shipping.

• 14:45
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 14:45
Speaker 2: Do it for free?
• 14:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe $10 a year dues or something like that.
• 14:49
  Speaker 1: Well, even that.
• 14:50
Speaker 1: I mean, you know, spend a little money on gas, put some gas in it, drive it out to wherever they're having an event and go for it.
• 14:56
Speaker 1: Just go teach yourself.
• 14:57
Speaker 1: Well, the other thing is is that there are always guys out there that have a lot more experience than you, so pick their brain.
• 15:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, have a ride, do a ride along, get them to sit in the seat with you and show you how to do it and if it's real serious off-road, that got spotters there.
• 15:11
Speaker 5: they're going to help you anyway.
• 15:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right or not.
• 15:15
Speaker 1: And, as a matter of fact, and if you have any river running to do, you can just drive it right off into the river and then into the deep part of the river and put it right up past the windshield.
• 15:27
Speaker 3: And you remember what event I'm talking about.
• 15:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, we had a fellow journalist that did that after they said don't venture off the shore, run it in the river, but don't go out into the river.
• 15:40
Speaker 1: There's a deep spot out there.
• 15:41
Speaker 1: Yep Plunk right on in there.
• 15:45
Speaker 1: Sure enough it was.
• 15:46
Speaker 1: Epa on Wednesday finalized a rule that sets tougher limits on vehicle tailpipe pollution through 2032, but eases requirements in the early model years to appease auto industry concerns of a too fast transition to electric vehicles.
• 16:02
Speaker 1: Compared with EPA's proposal in April, the final rule on light duty vehicle emissions standards for the 27 through 32 model years adopts a less aggressive pace of greenhouse gas emission reductions in the first few model years, followed by more stringent reductions after 2030.
• 16:20
Speaker 1: Agency now projects battery electric vehicles will account for 30 to 56% of new light duty vehicle sales in the 2030 to 2032 model years, down from the controversial 67% in 2032 that the EPA projected in its proposal.
• 16:38
Speaker 5: But again, that's their proposal, that's what they want.
• 16:42
Speaker 5: That's really not a projection of really where things are going.
• 16:45
Speaker 5: That's just that's what they want it to be.
• 16:48
Speaker 1: Yes, so they all want to keep their job and not get fired by Joe.
• 16:52
Speaker 5: It's a big difference between making a real projection and saying this is our dream wish.
• 16:56
  Speaker 5: Yeah it's.
• 16:58
Speaker 5: That's silly, it is silly.
• 17:01
Speaker 1: I am not going there.
• 17:02
  Speaker 2: Dream wishes.

• 20:13
Speaker 1: I didn't know that the history went back that far for me.
• 20:16
Speaker 2: Well, we're going to get to you in just a moment, but first, this is how it all started.
• 20:21
Speaker 2: We're going to go with that.
• 20:23
Speaker 2: There you go, so we're going to take a stroll down memory lane.
• 20:26
Speaker 2: These are the most.
• 20:27
Speaker 2: This is the most popular.
• 20:28
  Speaker 1: I don't have a memory anymore.
• 20:29
  Speaker 1: Yes, you do.
• 20:30
Speaker 2: Now I found this on Reader's Digest Not National Geographic, but Reader's Digest, don't?
• 20:35
Speaker 2: I love those National Geographic.
• 20:37
Speaker 1: I've been looking at those when you were a kid, Mars.
• 20:39
  Speaker 2: Wow.
• 20:40
Speaker 2: Why I brought that up I don't know, but I was born in 57 and the top selling vehicle in 1957 was a Ford Skyline.
• 20:49
Speaker 2: It's dominant and most striking feature was a high tech hardtop convertible.
• 20:53
Speaker 2: It was a roof that gracefully opened and arched back into a rear hinge trunk in a matter of seconds.
• 20:59
Speaker 2: To accomplish this, ford had no less than six motors, four lift jacks a host of electrical relays, 10 solenoids, four power locking mechanisms and over 600 feet of war War.
• 21:13
  Speaker 5: War War.
• 21:15
Speaker 2: The next one goes out to our good friend and engineer, david Ainsley.
• 21:19
Speaker 2: He was born in 1964.
• 21:21
  Speaker 2: He's a youngster.
• 21:22
Speaker 2: The Ford Mustang was the most popular car in that year, probably the single most iconic 60s car in America.
• 21:29
Speaker 2: The 64 Mustang started a revolution.
• 21:32
Speaker 2: It's a good looking and cheap.
• 21:34
Speaker 2: The original Mustang wasn't fast, but it offered a V8 option that showed the capability of the design.
• 21:41
Speaker 2: So there you go for 64.
• 21:43
Speaker 2: The next one, michael, is for you, sir.
• 21:45
Speaker 2: 1952 was the year you were born and you are a Buick Roadmaster.
• 21:50
  Speaker 2: That's not a 52, is it?
• 21:51
  Speaker 2: It's a 52 Buick.
• 21:53
  Speaker 5: Roadmaster.
• 21:53
  Speaker 2: Man You're either.
• 21:54
Speaker 2: 52 saw many iconic vehicles being produced and devoured by a public eager for shiny new wheels.
• 22:01
Speaker 2: Michael the Buick Roadmaster was a popular car model that, looking back on it, now seems perfectly indicative of the glitz and Hollywood glamour of the 50s.
• 22:11
  Speaker 2: Just like you.
• 22:11
  Speaker 5: Just like you.
• 22:12
  Speaker 2: Michael.
• 22:13
Speaker 2: Now this next one.
• 22:15
Speaker 2: This goes out to Don and, I think, George, you all were put to high school together and probably born in the same year Great school.
• 22:21
Speaker 2: Well, I couldn't find the actual picture, but I did find these two Conestoga wagons.
• 22:25
Speaker 2: That one is the hardtop.
• 22:28
Speaker 2: Now, this actual car would be a Studebaker Starlight Coupe.
• 22:33
  Speaker 5: The Starlight.
• 22:34
Speaker 2: Coupe featured an innovative wrap around greenhouse rear window that, nearly 60 years later, looks super sharp and futuristic just plain cool.
• 22:43
Speaker 3: No one could ever call the Starlight or Wierd vehicle.
• 22:46
Speaker 2: And that one is the convertible version of the whatever we could find for Don and George.
• 22:52
Speaker 2: So there you go, guys.
• 22:52
Speaker 2: Well, thank you very much I appreciate that.

• 23:01

• 23:06
Speaker 1: We'll arrive together in the Conestoga wagon.
• 23:09
Speaker 1: I think there was a wonder.
• 23:11
Speaker 1: Who was that, Mr or Mrs Conestoga?
• 23:13
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 23:14
  Speaker 2: But what is?
• 23:15
  Speaker 1: Conestoga mean.
• 23:16
Speaker 2: It's just the vehicle.
• 23:17

• 23:23
Speaker 1: Well, the only thing that I've ever heard Conestoga was a wagon like that, yeah.
• 23:27
