Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello, Francine. Juline here, the founder of the Confidence Club
- 0:08Speaker 1: for Kids and host of Parents Talk. I'm here today
- 0:13Speaker 1: with my friend Maria Adell. We were both authors in
- 0:18Speaker 1: the book called Seek the Heart. Twenty authors got together
- 0:24Speaker 1: and we wrote this book about sharing our hearts. Marie,
- 0:30Speaker 1: would you like to talk a little bit about your
- 0:33Speaker 1: chapter and how you help families and children.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you so much for having me. And I mean,
- 0:43Speaker 2: first of all, I was thrilled to be a part
- 0:44Speaker 2: of this project. I feel like everybody that was involved
- 0:48Speaker 2: in it really put their heart into it, and I'm
- 0:50Speaker 2: so grateful to, you know, be part of this compilation.
- 0:54Speaker 2: And also, you know, thrilled to be part of a
- 0:58Speaker 2: book with doctor Temple Granton as well. Well, you know,
- 1:01Speaker 2: my own child has autism, and I'm a special education teacher,
- 1:05Speaker 2: so I work with a lot of children that have autism,
- 1:09Speaker 2: that you know, have a cognitive impairment, that have you know,
- 1:13Speaker 2: some different way of looking at the world. And you know,
- 1:18Speaker 2: for me, my chapter in the book addresses a specific
- 1:23Speaker 2: thing that happened to me in childhood, my very first
- 1:27Speaker 2: earliest memory, and it happened to be around the topic
- 1:30Speaker 2: of lying. And so for me, It's been a lifetime
- 1:34Speaker 2: of reframing what that word lying means and helping families
- 1:39Speaker 2: to understand what that actually looks like in kids, and
- 1:44Speaker 2: then being able to look and see like, how you
- 1:49Speaker 2: can reframe that for yourself, how you can reframe that
- 1:53Speaker 2: when you look at your child and you know what
- 1:56Speaker 2: that journey can look like as you move through life.
- 2:00Speaker 2: In helping your kids to authentically be themselves and learn
- 2:05Speaker 2: how to be yourself along the way. And as far
- 2:09Speaker 2: as working with families, I do that similar kind of thing.
- 2:14Speaker 2: You know, I work a lot with families who a
- 2:17Speaker 2: lot of moms carry a lot of mom guilt, They
- 2:20Speaker 2: carry a lot of mom blame, they carry a lot
- 2:22Speaker 2: of mom shame. And that comes from really not being
- 2:27Speaker 2: comfortable with who you are at the core right and
- 2:31Speaker 2: not being aware of the things that you're not comfortable
- 2:34Speaker 2: with being at the core. And it all stems from
- 2:38Speaker 2: your early years. You're zero to three years old. You
- 2:43Speaker 2: gather so much information that is a locked inside of
- 2:47Speaker 2: you about who you are and you know how you
- 2:51Speaker 2: move through the world, and being able to acknowledge those
- 2:57Speaker 2: things and choose to move in a different direction and
- 3:02Speaker 2: creating that awareness so that you can realize when those
- 3:07Speaker 2: things are coming up for you and realizing, ah, that's
- 3:11Speaker 2: a belief that I held that no longer serves me,
- 3:14Speaker 2: And how do I move forward in that? And creating
- 3:17Speaker 2: a plan for yourself that you can put in action
- 3:21Speaker 2: so that you actually can bit by bit, because it's
- 3:25Speaker 2: not going to be overnight and ever forward, sometimes backwards,
- 3:31Speaker 2: sometimes forward again, and recreate those stories so that you
- 3:36Speaker 2: are living that life that you desire to live. Regardless
- 3:42Speaker 2: of perfection, there's no such thing as perfection. Yet we
- 3:47Speaker 2: are all perfect, whole and complete because we are all
- 3:50Speaker 2: part of a higher divine energy.
- 3:54Speaker 1: My earliest memory that stuck with me was my aunt's
- 3:58Speaker 1: telling me you'd be such a pretty girl if you
- 4:01Speaker 1: just lost some weight. Well, that stuck with me. Number one, Okay,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I'm not pretty because I'm fat. And number two that
- 4:13Speaker 1: I need to lose weight so for my whole life.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Whenever something bad happened, well, if I could lose twenty pounds,
- 4:21Speaker 1: everything would be great.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And that was my lie.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I told myself that, well, everything's not great because I'm overweight.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You know, if I could just lose some weight, somebody
- 4:35Speaker 1: would ask me out on a date. And parents need
- 4:41Speaker 1: to be aware of how their limiting beliefs will pour
- 4:48Speaker 1: out to their children. And the key there. And I
- 4:53Speaker 1: know I'm not a parent, but I know that I
- 4:56Speaker 1: projected my limiting beliefs on other people because I knew
- 5:04Speaker 1: I was right, I was lying to myself. And did
- 5:08Speaker 1: you know that your brain doesn't know the difference between
- 5:13Speaker 1: fact or a lie. That if you tell your brain
- 5:18Speaker 1: something long enough, it will believe it. If you tell
- 5:22Speaker 1: your children that they are smart, they are beautiful, they
- 5:27Speaker 1: are just what they're supposed to be, enough, they will
- 5:30Speaker 1: believe that. But the key to all of this is
- 5:36Speaker 1: you have to identify the root cause of your limiting beliefs.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Because unless you know what's causing those tomatoes out on
- 5:48Speaker 1: the vine to rot before you could eat them, you're
- 5:53Speaker 1: never going to be able to stop that from happening.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Once you identify the birds are pecking home it, now
- 6:01Speaker 1: you know the root cause, you could prevent that from happening. Well,
- 6:06Speaker 1: it's the same and growing a child a child a
- 6:09Speaker 1: lot like a living plant. You have to feed them
- 6:12Speaker 1: and water them and make sure they have the proper
- 6:15Speaker 1: sunlight and that they're protected. But you can't overprotect them
- 6:19Speaker 1: because then they won't get the sunlight and the water.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So how would you suggest parents go about identifying their
- 6:30Speaker 1: limiting believes to get down to that root cause?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah, so I say awareness is nine tenths of the law.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Being able to be aware of things are going to
- 6:43Speaker 2: help you to realize that things are happening within you
- 6:48Speaker 2: and those feelings that come up within you are affecting
- 6:53Speaker 2: other people as well. Understanding that we all have our
- 6:57Speaker 2: own personal autonomy as well. Like we we cannot think
- 7:01Speaker 2: or feel any way because someone has said or done
- 7:04Speaker 2: something to us. It's a physiological response, right, So we
- 7:09Speaker 2: can always shift that narrative as well. And at the
- 7:12Speaker 2: same time, we are human and so we do feel
- 7:15Speaker 2: things when someone says something or does something to us,
- 7:18Speaker 2: and it causes that neuropathway, that chemical neuropathway to etch
- 7:26Speaker 2: in beliefs. And some of those beliefs may never go away,
- 7:34Speaker 2: like for your example where you said I would only
- 7:37Speaker 2: be pretty if I just lost weight, Right, that may
- 7:40Speaker 2: never go away. For you, that may always be there.
- 7:44Speaker 2: And at the same time, you are aware when it
- 7:48Speaker 2: is coming up, and you are able to shift that
- 7:52Speaker 2: story and tell yourself, wait, this is not the truth.
- 7:58Speaker 2: This is the truth and you're able to move in
- 8:01Speaker 2: the direction of what you desire instead. And again it
- 8:06Speaker 2: sounds so simplistic, like if I just did that right,
- 8:09Speaker 2: like every single time, if I just stopped. The thing
- 8:12Speaker 2: is is, it's such a running record in our psyche
- 8:16Speaker 2: that we aren't always aware of when those things happen.
- 8:20Speaker 2: So it's always a great idea to utilize a coach,
- 8:25Speaker 2: a counselor a therapist somebody to regurgitate your words back
- 8:32Speaker 2: to you and help you to figure out what those
- 8:36Speaker 2: underlying beliefs are and when they come out and what
- 8:40Speaker 2: they mean, and how to move in the direction of
- 8:44Speaker 2: what you desire instead of clinging and continuing in your
- 8:50Speaker 2: analogy of gardening, to grow those limiting belief vines, roots, whatever,
- 8:59Speaker 2: and let them wither while you move in the direction
- 9:02Speaker 2: of what you truly desire and to grow that instead.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Okay, let's stick with the tomato plant here. Sometimes you
- 9:10Speaker 1: have to clip off the branches that are not supporting
- 9:16Speaker 1: the plant so the ones that are supporting the fruit
- 9:21Speaker 1: could grow better. And I call those they call them
- 9:26Speaker 1: the sucker leaves on a plant. I call those sucker
- 9:30Speaker 1: leaves of beliefs. Boom bad opinions of myself. Yeah, and
- 9:38Speaker 1: you have to know how to identify the difference between
- 9:41Speaker 1: the sucker leads and the ones that are really keeping
- 9:46Speaker 1: you safe.
- 9:48Speaker 3: For instance, I.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Went on some really weird, unhealthy diets thinking that this
- 9:57Speaker 1: was my way to lose that twenty pounds and get healthy.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 1: The boom, the bad opinion of myself was making me
- 10:08Speaker 1: willing to try anything, yeah, to get that positive experience
- 10:13Speaker 1: I wanted. And I was coming out on the other
- 10:17Speaker 1: end with health problems. Yeah. Where you know, whereas if
- 10:22Speaker 1: I eliminated boom initially and said, Okay, my goal isn't
- 10:28Speaker 1: to lose twenty pounds to be happy.
- 10:31Speaker 3: My goal is to live a healthy life.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Now I have a beautiful tomato to pick.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Yes.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Yeah. We will not be able to create a life
- 10:42Speaker 2: we love out of things that we do not want.
- 10:47Speaker 2: We have to be able to identify what we do
- 10:50Speaker 2: want and continuously have actions, words, you know, ways of
- 10:59Speaker 2: being that move in that direction of what we desire.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Because our brain doesn't hear not don't it eliminates that,
- 11:09Speaker 2: and it hears does. So when you say I want
- 11:11Speaker 2: to lose weight, all it hears is I want weight.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So we are never going to be able to release
- 11:20Speaker 2: any kind of anything by focusing on what we don't want.
- 11:27Speaker 1: The same goes for money. If you focus on I
- 11:30Speaker 1: don't have enough money to pay the bills, I can
- 11:33Speaker 1: afford that. You never will. You have to find a
- 11:37Speaker 1: way to be happy with what you have first, then
- 11:42Speaker 1: you will attract more. So let's talk about behavior. If
- 11:49Speaker 1: you tell your childern no, don't do that, you know,
- 11:52Speaker 1: unless they're standing on the counter ready to fall down,
- 11:55Speaker 1: but just normal stuff that's not life and limb related,
- 12:01Speaker 1: how do you parent with positive affirmations rather than hersh
- 12:09Speaker 1: discipline after the fact.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so, I mean for me, I'm a teacher, and
- 12:17Speaker 2: I learned early on in my teaching career because I
- 12:20Speaker 2: started in early childhood. I learned early on in my
- 12:23Speaker 2: teaching career that in order to effectively have a student
- 12:31Speaker 2: do something that I needed them to do, I could
- 12:33Speaker 2: not include the word no in it. I couldn't say
- 12:37Speaker 2: no running, no talking, no hitting, because our brains are
- 12:43Speaker 2: programmed to hear the last word that is said. So
- 12:47Speaker 2: all they were hearing was running, biting, hitting, you know,
- 12:52Speaker 2: all of those things. So in order to you know,
- 12:57Speaker 2: be able to do that, I had to be aware
- 13:01Speaker 2: of what I was saying, and so being able to
- 13:05Speaker 2: release that word no from my vocabulary was everything. And
- 13:12Speaker 2: it's even helpful in your own life, right to release
- 13:15Speaker 2: that no. But those kinds of things, right, they prevent
- 13:20Speaker 2: you from what actually is occurring. And so you know,
- 13:26Speaker 2: asking them to walk saying you know, gentle teeth, gentle hands.
- 13:34Speaker 2: So being able to reframe in a positive way. And
- 13:38Speaker 2: then when I started getting into my own self development,
- 13:42Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I can apply the same thing
- 13:46Speaker 2: that I applied with my students to myself in speaking
- 13:50Speaker 2: to myself, you know, using those positive words, those things
- 13:57Speaker 2: that I desired to happen to help to move in
- 14:02Speaker 2: the direction of what I truly wanted and needed. And
- 14:06Speaker 2: so it's the same thing with your children as well too.
- 14:10Speaker 2: And you know, I'm not quite sure. I feel like
- 14:14Speaker 2: we have to ascribe the labels of positive and negative
- 14:18Speaker 2: because without one you don't experience the other. And at
- 14:22Speaker 2: the same time, I don't necessarily believe that there is
- 14:26Speaker 2: positive and negative, especially when it comes to kids and
- 14:30Speaker 2: experimenting and all of the things. Right, sometimes it just
- 14:34Speaker 2: is what it is, like, it's it's experimentation, it's curiosity. Again,
- 14:40Speaker 2: you know, learning how you do want to move and
- 14:43Speaker 2: be by moving and being in ways that aren't as
- 14:48Speaker 2: savory sometimes, like the idea of lying, you know, sometimes
- 14:54Speaker 2: you have to tell a few stories in order to
- 14:57Speaker 2: be able to figure out the consequences meant to realize, like, hey, yeah,
- 15:02Speaker 2: that can be a little destructive. I choose to be
- 15:04Speaker 2: a different way, so that kind of a thing.
- 15:07Speaker 1: What I'm hearing here is that even managers and corporate
- 15:14Speaker 1: and in your jobs, this is good selid advice, frame
- 15:22Speaker 1: everything from the positive if you want more positive in return.
- 15:29Speaker 1: And Marie, I'm going to ask you, is there anything
- 15:33Speaker 1: you do with journaling and positive informations?
- 15:38Speaker 2: Journaling is one beautiful way to be able to, you know,
- 15:42Speaker 2: listen to yourself and look and see, you know, especially
- 15:46Speaker 2: after you've journaled for a few days, then go back
- 15:49Speaker 2: and read, like what patterns are you noticing?
- 15:52Speaker 3: What do you see?
- 15:53Speaker 2: You know, those kinds of things, and I feel like,
- 15:58Speaker 2: you know, in order to rebuild our neuropathways, that reframing
- 16:05Speaker 2: is important. And I don't necessarily ascribe to positive affirmations
- 16:15Speaker 2: because if we have a underlying belief, for example, that
- 16:20Speaker 2: we're not good enough, that belief is still going to
- 16:23Speaker 2: be there. And if we try to tell ourselves that
- 16:26Speaker 2: we are enough, while that underlying belief is that we're
- 16:30Speaker 2: not good enough, our brain is going to know. We
- 16:33Speaker 2: are going to know you are lying, you are not
- 16:35Speaker 2: telling me the truth, and so we are not going
- 16:38Speaker 2: to be able to move in the direction of what
- 16:40Speaker 2: we desire. So instead of focusing on I am enough,
- 16:50Speaker 2: it is being in ways that allow you to be
- 16:56Speaker 2: able to show yourself that there are things that you
- 17:06Speaker 2: just simply are that are enough and there's a realization
- 17:10Speaker 2: that has to come about from that. But instead of
- 17:13Speaker 2: an affirmation, being able to release and like just know
- 17:23Speaker 2: that this these thoughts are going to come. So it's
- 17:28Speaker 2: more of a realization, a realization, and a releasing that
- 17:33Speaker 2: happens rather than an affirmation. So it's like, yeah, I
- 17:38Speaker 2: think this thing about myself, it's what I think about myself.
- 17:43Speaker 2: It's my underlying belief that this is you know, this
- 17:45Speaker 2: is what is happening, and at the same time moving
- 17:50Speaker 2: in ways that allow you to know that you desire
- 17:57Speaker 2: a different narrative. It's a yes and yes, I believe
- 18:02Speaker 2: this about myself and I can also believe this other thing.
- 18:07Speaker 2: It's what makes human beings so wonderful. We have the
- 18:10Speaker 2: ability to be able to hold two contradicting beliefs at
- 18:15Speaker 2: the same time. It's like, yes, I believe I'm not worthy,
- 18:19Speaker 2: and at the same time, it doesn't prevent me from
- 18:22Speaker 2: doing all of these other things. And eventually, when you're
- 18:28Speaker 2: you know, releasing that thought of you're not worthy, as
- 18:32Speaker 2: you're building this life that you desire, you'll feel that
- 18:35Speaker 2: less and less. So instead of affirming I am enough,
- 18:40Speaker 2: it's you know, it's the same thing with my daughter,
- 18:43Speaker 2: Like I I try not to say things to her
- 18:48Speaker 2: that are fluff, right, Like I identify things that are like, oh,
- 18:56Speaker 2: you know, I can see your beautiful face today, right,
- 19:00Speaker 2: instead of like move your bangs, or I noticed you
- 19:07Speaker 2: did your hair differently, right, instead of saying like, oh,
- 19:12Speaker 2: it looks so great, Like I'm still giving her attention
- 19:16Speaker 2: and acknowledging her. It's just in a different way, you know,
- 19:20Speaker 2: that kind of a thing, because kids are so good
- 19:22Speaker 2: at BS detecting, and so it's, you know, and even
- 19:26Speaker 2: though I may feel those things, like I might feel
- 19:29Speaker 2: like she's beautiful or lovely, if she doesn't feel like
- 19:32Speaker 2: she's beautiful or lovely, she's just gonna like it's gonna
- 19:36Speaker 2: like water off of a roof, right, it's just gonna
- 19:38Speaker 2: run right off. So, you know, she went through a
- 19:42Speaker 2: phase I feel like we all do. Or she didn't
- 19:45Speaker 2: feel like she was beautiful, and then like she had
- 19:50Speaker 2: some major epiphany a couple of summers ago and she's like, yeah,
- 19:54Speaker 2: I'm pretty darn cute, right, Like so it's just those
- 19:58Speaker 2: kinds of things, like sometimes we just we get to
- 20:01Speaker 2: let our kids experience things. We realize that we also
- 20:05Speaker 2: have had experiences and again, like we choose to move
- 20:10Speaker 2: in the direction of what we desire, we can plant
- 20:13Speaker 2: those seeds for our children as well too. Yeah, I
- 20:17Speaker 2: remember when I used to feel ugly too. It happens
- 20:21Speaker 2: some days I do feel ugly. Right, you get out
- 20:24Speaker 2: of bed and your face is all puppy and this
- 20:26Speaker 2: and that whatever. And at the same time, I realize,
- 20:30Speaker 2: that's not me, that's my body.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I am beautiful. I love that.
- 20:35Speaker 1: And the Believe Retreat live stream is to get people
- 20:43Speaker 1: in the mindset that they can do whatever they believe
- 20:46Speaker 1: they can do. And what we're doing now is we're
- 20:48Speaker 1: putting together a collaboration book people who believe they could
- 20:55Speaker 1: and did so when we're talking about journaling and from
- 21:00Speaker 1: we're talking about the person that says, oh, gosh, I
- 21:03Speaker 1: have a story to tell, but I'm not an author.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I've got a story to tell, but I don't know
- 21:08Speaker 1: how to do that. Well, guess what, no one does
- 21:10Speaker 1: until they do. Yeah, Marie, did you have any epiphany
- 21:15Speaker 1: like that when you said you wanted to write this
- 21:17Speaker 1: story for seek the heart?
- 21:20Speaker 3: For me?
- 21:20Speaker 2: The belief that I was kind of transmuting in that
- 21:25Speaker 2: is when I was growing up, I got a lot
- 21:28Speaker 2: of she doesn't work to her full potential. She, you know,
- 21:35Speaker 2: doesn't complete things if only she this right. And I
- 21:43Speaker 2: know I am a phenomenal writer. And at the same
- 21:47Speaker 2: time I was holding these beliefs of like, I cannot
- 21:50Speaker 2: finish this thing right, even the amount of words that
- 21:54Speaker 2: we were given, I was not able to write as
- 21:57Speaker 2: many words as we were given. And there was a
- 22:00Speaker 2: feeling about that as well too. And at the same
- 22:03Speaker 2: time I came to realize I write beautifully. People respond
- 22:09Speaker 2: to my writing, and even though I don't write as
- 22:14Speaker 2: much as some other people write, I have a gift
- 22:18Speaker 2: of succinctness. I am able to get the same point
- 22:22Speaker 2: across that other people do. In ten thousand words, in
- 22:26Speaker 2: like thirty five hundred words, right, And so I feel
- 22:30Speaker 2: like that there's so many things around that, And so
- 22:34Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, so I finished this. I finished
- 22:38Speaker 2: a full chapter that is getting published. And now I
- 22:42Speaker 2: have a book that I've been working on for several years,
- 22:46Speaker 2: and I know that that too will be published. It
- 22:49Speaker 2: will not simply be a pipe dream for me, like
- 22:52Speaker 2: I will be able to finish that thing. I finished this,
- 22:56Speaker 2: it got put out. I'm going to be able to
- 22:59Speaker 2: do this same thing with this. And I'm probably like
- 23:03Speaker 2: five six chapters in on this, and I don't know
- 23:07Speaker 2: how much more is going to be coming out of it,
- 23:09Speaker 2: and I don't want there to be a ton coming
- 23:11Speaker 2: out of it. It's a parenting book for parents. They
- 23:16Speaker 2: don't have the time to read something that is going
- 23:20Speaker 2: to take them two hours to read. If I can
- 23:23Speaker 2: give you something that you sneak away for five minutes
- 23:27Speaker 2: in the bathroom and you can read a chapter a day,
- 23:30Speaker 2: do that, right, And the impact, the message, everything you
- 23:36Speaker 2: know from my experiences and parenting, my experiences in teaching
- 23:41Speaker 2: all of that. I love research. I'm a huge research nerd,
- 23:45Speaker 2: and I've read like far and wide on parenting resources,
- 23:49Speaker 2: both things that people, you know, I find abominable and
- 23:55Speaker 2: also you know, things that are just they make sense,
- 23:59Speaker 2: the beautiful, they work, you know that kind of a thing.
- 24:03Speaker 2: So it's giving families resources tools that they can actually
- 24:08Speaker 2: utilize to be able to parent in the way that
- 24:11Speaker 2: they desire, or teach in the way that they desire,
- 24:15Speaker 2: or give the book to someone that they know, or
- 24:18Speaker 2: utilize the information to actually have communication with other people.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Doesn't have to be kids, right, So there's so many
- 24:27Speaker 2: things in it that spark AHAs or that I hope
- 24:31Speaker 2: that do right. That's my desire and I know that
- 24:36Speaker 2: it's I'm going to be able to finish that soon.
- 24:39Speaker 1: And it all started because you got your chapter put
- 24:43Speaker 1: in this book, Seek the Heart. Yeah. She didn't believe
- 24:47Speaker 1: she could be an author until she was not only
- 24:51Speaker 1: an author, but an international best selling author.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Yes, so.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Believe that you can too, and believe your kids can.
- 25:04Speaker 1: My publisher's on twelve years old and he's written a
- 25:07Speaker 1: dozen books I Amazon, and he's went on all kinds
- 25:12Speaker 1: of awards. Believe you can and you will. I love
- 25:18Speaker 1: the yes and approach the yes. I have these limiting beliefs. Yes,
- 25:25Speaker 1: I sometimes don't finish things. Yes, I have a problem
- 25:30Speaker 1: writing enough words. And that's okay because the few words
- 25:35Speaker 1: I wrote were written well. Yes, And you know what,
- 25:39Speaker 1: on a team, since the book that I'm promoting right
- 25:43Speaker 1: now is a collaboration. On our team, we need the
- 25:49Speaker 1: person who can write succinctly and just tell their straight
- 25:55Speaker 1: out story, and we need the person to give all
- 25:59Speaker 1: that flaw to the person.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Who needs the fluff.
- 26:03Speaker 1: That's the great part of being an anthology with other
- 26:08Speaker 1: authors is there's something in it for everyone and being
- 26:13Speaker 1: a research nerd. If you're a research nerd, we need
- 26:16Speaker 1: research nerds too, because there's going to be some factors
- 26:22Speaker 1: tying the chapters together that may be acquire research. I
- 26:28Speaker 1: love working on a team because the superpower one has
- 26:36Speaker 1: will work along with or compensate for the other person superpower.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I don't call it a lack of skill. You have
- 26:48Speaker 1: a superpower in a different area.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's what makes the world go round, right.
- 26:56Speaker 2: And one person is going to read my book and
- 27:00Speaker 2: they're not going to resonate with it, and maybe a
- 27:02Speaker 2: dozen people will and they will, right. So I'm speaking
- 27:08Speaker 2: to the people that are ready to hear my heart.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Yes, Speak the Heart. Yes these chapter and Seek the
- 27:19Speaker 3: Heart I love it.
- 27:22Speaker 1: And superpowers that's what Book two of The Confidence Club
- 27:28Speaker 1: for Kids is about. The Well Camp Confidence is the
- 27:33Speaker 1: book series, and in book two, Sparkle Feathers and Princess
- 27:37Speaker 1: Francy help the kids explore their superpowers that they're keeping
- 27:43Speaker 1: bottled up because it's what makes them different. And you
- 27:47Speaker 1: know how we were when we were kids. Oh my god,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I don't want to be different. I want to blend
- 27:52Speaker 1: in with everybody. But remember, your superpower is what makes
- 27:57Speaker 1: you uniquely. You let your sparkle shine. That's the name
- 28:03Speaker 1: of my second book for children.
- 28:07Speaker 2: B Let Yourself Be.
- 28:08Speaker 3: That's it. Let Yourself Be. Well.
