- 0:00Speaker 1: 90% of Christians allow our government to educate their children.
- 0:06We are losing somewhere between 70% and 88% of our
- 0:09children by the end of their freshman year in college.
- 0:12That's the children of evangelicals. Somewhere between 70% and 88%
- 0:15of them have nothing to do with spiritual things by
- 0:17the end of their freshman year in college. Now let
- 0:20me give you the easy answer before we go into
- 0:23a more detailed answer. The easy answer is this. If
- 0:27we continue to send our children to Caesar for their education,
- 0:30we need to stop being surprised when they come home
- 0:32as Romans. Luke chapter 6 and verse 40. A pupil
- 0:42is not above his teacher, but everyone, after he has
- 0:44been fully trained, will be like his teacher. From K
- 0:49through 12, children spend 14,000 seat hours in school. Let
- 0:55me say that again, 14,000. thousand seat hours in school.
- 0:59The average Christian family spends less than 30 minutes per
- 1:02week discussing spiritual matters. Parents who think that a few
- 1:05conversations centered around what did you learn today need to
- 1:10be honest about the usual answer to that question, which
- 1:13is nothing. There are three questions that we always get, okay?
- 1:20Number one, every homeschool family knows it is the question
- 1:23of questions that It is, if we have any homeschool
- 1:25families in here, I'm not even gonna say it. What's
- 1:27the question? What about socialization? Exactly, we get that, you know?
- 1:30And that's the easy one, all right? What about socialization?
- 1:34The other question is, is that legal? And the other
- 1:35question is, where do you get your curriculum? Who oversees
- 1:38your curriculum? Those are the three questions. Why does everyone
- 1:41ask the exact same three questions? Because everyone's been discipled
- 1:45by the same teacher. And the first question everybody asks is,
- 1:50how can you educate your own children? Why? Why? Because
- 1:56the system wants you to be a slave. I'm a
- 1:59free man. My children are mine, not wards of the state.
- 2:02The government has no jurisdiction over my children.
