Transcript
- 0:00Hey friends, family in Christ, very important topic today as we are going to talk about anti-Semitism
- 0:06in the end times and how the rise of the world's oldest hatred is paving the way for the
- 0:13Messiah's return.
- 0:15We've got Olivia Melnik back with us next.
- 0:22Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:29defending biblical Christianity, no topic off limits.
- 0:35And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:38Well, welcome to another episode, we're so thankful, I am so blessed to be able to speak
- 0:45with the men and women of God that I get to talk to you on this program and I'm just
- 0:50thankful for you, you guys, for sharing it, it's getting out there growing like crazy

- 1:25I see a recent podcast he's done and programs with John Haller, Andy Woods, talking about
- 1:31convergence and all kinds of wonderful topics that are very relevant and timely, especially
- 1:36to the church in America and around the world, I should say, but anyway, brother, welcome.
- 1:41Thank you for your time.
- 1:42It's always good to reconnect.
- 1:44David, thank you for having me again, I'd be to be on your show.
- 1:48Okay.
- 1:49You're welcome.
- 1:50Before we got on, when I did that little teaser, I didn't say that is the title of your
- 1:56upcoming brand new book anti-Semitism in the end times and I love the subtitle is wonderful.
- 2:06The world's oldest hatred.
- 2:09So paving the way for the Messiah's return for the newer viewers, Olivia and listeners,
- 2:15you have a really an excellent definition of anti-Semitism.
- 2:20Would you please repeat that for those that haven't heard that?
- 2:24So my definition is like this, anti-Semitism is the satanic and irrational hatred of Israel
- 2:32and the Jewish people characterized by thoughts, words and deeds against them.
- 2:39So very important that you understand that it's irrational and it doesn't make any sense
- 2:44and we're seeing it more and more and more in the recent time and it's irrational because
- 2:50it's satanic.
- 2:51Only Satan and his demons can make something irrational, sound rational and anti-Semitism
- 2:59is also against both Israel as the land in the country and the Jewish people globally.
- 3:06It's a global cancer now and of course thoughts, words and deeds, anti-Semitism never stops
- 3:13with words.
- 3:14And we've seen that recently, unfortunately.
- 3:17Okay, so your brand new book is slated to come out October 7th, interesting and I'm
- 3:22sure you picked that date purposely, right?
- 3:25Yes, yes I did.
- 3:28It was actually supposed to come in September and I thought let's push it one more month
- 3:32because the day it comes out is the first Tuesday of the month which happened to be October
- 3:367th and I said we have to make it that date because it's going to be the second anniversary
- 3:42of the attack by Hamas in Israel and it's unfortunately memorable date and it's very
- 3:52meaningful that the book would come at that time, so yes.
- 3:55So let's go back to your definition now.
- 3:57You said satanic and irrational hatred of the Jews.
- 4:02I see you have an American flag there behind you and I'm thinking of American college
- 4:09campuses and what was really eye-opening to a lot of us around the country, a lot of
- 4:14us, even somewhat informed believers in the biblical worldview and the Judeo-Christian
- 4:21worldview and where they're going, wow, what is going on in America?
- 4:26So when I hear the word irrational, that defines, I would say, a majority of these college
- 4:32students that are up there, you know, pro-Hamas and they're free Palestine, they don't even
- 4:39know why they're there, they just know they're supposed to hate the Jews and they're supposed
- 4:44to protest.
- 4:45Your thoughts on that and how eye-opening that was two years ago?
- 4:49There is actually two sides to that coin and there's a good and a bad, the bad is that
- 4:54what you just said, basically within a day or two after October 7th, the world turned
- 5:01on Israel like we've never seen before and American campuses, US campuses all over and
- 5:09different various locations around the globe basically started to scream, globalize the
- 5:15Antifada, free Palestine, destroy the IDF, all those very, very toxic lethal words that
- 5:25became leads when you see the two Jewish diplomats that were killed a couple of months ago in
- 5:31Washington DC by a man from Chicago, a Hispanic man from Chicago, which really we had no
- 5:37ties to Hamas or the Palestinian cause, you know, ethnically, he said, he was just a
- 5:44guy who wanted to push the agenda and he did and he killed two Jewish diplomats in DC.
- 5:52But what's happening on campuses is indeed very irrational.
- 5:57So that's the bad part, the fact that they don't know what they're talking about.
- 6:00They're pushing something that they believe is social justice and it's, you know, supporting
- 6:07the underdog so to speak.
- 6:09But in reality, they are pushing a lethal, when they're saying, they're basically pushing
- 6:15the agenda that they say they're fighting against.
- 6:18They're saying Israel is committing genocide, but they're saying globalize the Antifada,
- 6:24kill all the Jews, Palestine shall be free from the river to the sea, which is basically
- 6:28a euphemism for kill all the Jews in Israel.
- 6:31So they're pushing an agenda that they say they are fighting against.
- 6:36Now the good side, I said there was a bad and a good, the good side, I found out I think
- 6:40yesterday that Columbia University decided to expel all the students that took over the
- 6:49Butler Library at Columbia.
- 6:52I think it was in May, they just went in and they occupied the library and then started
- 6:59promoting the same nonsensical Palestinian agenda, they all got expelled and their diplomas
- 7:08were revoked.
- 7:09Now that was a big move, because we haven't seen that yet.
- 7:12And if you start seeing things like this, I think it's going to start making people think,
- 7:17hey, you know what, it's not worth me saying those things against the Jews because now I
- 7:21lost my diploma that I worked so hard for.
- 7:24So that was a big deal, I didn't really make the news, but that was a big deal.
- 7:28Of course, today we found out that Columbia signed a 220 million settlement with the
- 7:35Trump administration to agreeing that something has to be done because of all the anti-Semitism
- 7:44and all the things that happened against the Jewish people on campus at Columbia.
- 7:51But when the article I read, I think it was on JNS, it said that even though they settled
- 7:56for 220 million, they did not accept liability or responsibility.
- 8:02They did not say they were guilty of anything and just say, well, pay the fee and see if
- 8:06we can figure out a way to continue doing what we're doing, you know, and not be in trouble
- 8:12with this current administration.
- 8:14So again, it was in what happened in the revoke, the diplomas yesterday or the day before,
- 8:21I think it's just because of the pressure and the money they might be losing.
- 8:25There's no genuine, contrite change of hearts and that's the big problem.
- 8:31And part of the reason for that is underlying all of this, what we're seeing on the surface
- 8:35and what has come out is a spiritual battle.
- 8:39This is spiritual warfare, it is spiritual, it is demonic and it is regardless of what
- 8:44they do at the top level, the political level or the financial decisions they make, this
- 8:50ideology, this hatred is deeply entrenched, wouldn't you say, on the college camp, the university
- 8:56campus today, across America?
- 8:58Well, this is, it's going back, this is not something, it didn't happen on October
- 9:028th.
- 9:03This is something that has been infecting our American campuses for probably two or three
- 9:10decades.
- 9:11The indoctrination of our students with very liberal, liberal ideologies and so that they
- 9:21could basically accept the work agenda in the anti-Israel, anti-Zionist, pro-Palestinian
- 9:29and in some cases pro-Pamas, pro-terrorist agenda without questioning anything.
- 9:35So this is something that's been worked on for several decades.
- 9:38This is what we're seeing today and I just wrote an article on my blog that I posted
- 9:42a couple of days ago.
- 9:45What we're seeing today is in the article on my blog at www.showliminmissai.com.
- 9:50The title is Is the World Suffering from Israel Durangement Syndrome.
- 9:55There it is.
- 9:59And this is, by the way, this is AI generated, that picture, so this is nobody we know,
- 10:06it's okay to use AI once in a while for illustrations, okay?
- 10:10I just, I don't want to get involved, this is my friend, so no, it's just AI, so relaxed.
- 10:17But what the message is there, and by the way, I want to give credit to the person who
- 10:23actually came up with the Israel Durangement Syndrome in the 80s, it was Ellen Dershowitz.
- 10:31That far back?
- 10:32Yes, and he came up with that, when I fell down, I thought, wow, this, you know, it takes
- 10:39us back, you know, about 40 years.
- 10:41Yes, he came up with the term Israel Durangement Syndrome.
- 10:44And of course, today most people are familiar with Trump Durangement Syndrome, but Israel
- 10:49Durangement Syndrome, I think, needs to be, it needs to be, it was not being used a whole
- 10:54lot, so I thought, you know, well, I'll give him credit, but I want to use it to describe
- 10:58what's going on right now, because the irrationality of what's happening in my article, I put
- 11:03several links to things that people would not even think of, like people putting, in
- 11:10Spain, people putting lights on, on stoplights on streets, when it goes green, it goes free
- 11:17Palestine, when it goes red, it goes, it goes kill, kill the Jews or, I mean, it's just ridiculous.
- 11:24People are sending the message anyway they can.
- 11:28And now, yesterday, talking about Spain, yesterday, 50 kids were coming back on a Spanish airplane
- 11:35from Jewish camp, and there were teenagers that apparently actually were very well-behaved,
- 11:41and it started to sing, you know, you get kids on the plane on vacation, that camp, they
- 11:45started to sing some Hebrew songs, the camp Hebrew songs, and they got, they were asked
- 11:52off the plane, they got off the plane, and the lady was actually put in handcuffs, and
- 11:58she was hurt, and there are stuff online on the times of Israel in different places where
- 12:04basically singing Hebrew songs was too much for the people, and apparently we found out
- 12:09that in a cockpit, the pilot had a flag of a modern style, modern flag of Palestine.
- 12:15So right now, anything, and that's part of the Israel-Durgeon syndrome, anything that
- 12:22is remotely connected to Israel or anything Jewish, becomes a reason for people to act
- 12:29against it, and we're going to see more of that, unfortunately.
- 12:32Okay, let's, let's, right there, you said we're going to see more of that, unfortunately,
- 12:36on the front page of your website, there's a quote by Edmund Burke, this is where we
- 12:40come in as Christians, what do we do?
- 12:42How do we respond to this?
- 12:43It says, the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
- 12:50And Dietrich Bonhoeffer famously said, silence in the face of evil is itself evil.
- 12:56Not to speak, is to speak, not to act, is to act.
- 13:00And there's a picture of a woman holding a sign that says, never again.
- 13:04But as you just said, with the higher percentages of attacks against Jews, anti-Semitism, this
- 13:13off the charts today, it looks like we're going in that direction, Olivier, can you speak
- 13:19to that for a moment?
- 13:20Yes, I often say that a bystander, a bystander of somebody who just looks and doesn't
- 13:26act, a bystander who does nothing only facilitates the work of a perpetrator along the line of
- 13:32what Bonhoeffer said, and the other quote, Edmund Burke, that you mentioned, it's a personal
- 13:40thing to me.
- 13:41My grandfather, my father's father was taken away by the Gestapo and died in Auschwitz when
- 13:47in the building where I grew up as a kid, where my family lived in the summer of the
- 13:52Paris.
- 13:54In that building, there were several families, probably about 12 or 16 different families
- 13:59that lived in that U-shaped building on the Auschwitz of Paris, and every single tenant
- 14:05when the Gestapo came to get my grandfather, they basically stayed behind their shutters
- 14:09in their apartment, looking at what was happening and did nothing.
- 14:14And he was taken and he ended up in Auschwitz and he died in the camps.
- 14:18And that's just one of six million when you think about it.
- 14:22So we have this motto as Jews that kind of came to life after the Holocaust, I think in
- 14:31the late 40s, never again, as a reference to the Holocaust, let's not allow this to happen
- 14:38again.
- 14:39And here we are, I'm starting to believe that where we are right now, because of the internet
- 14:48and because of the globalization of the anti-Semitism, because of the internet, and because
- 14:52of the existence of the state of Israel, I think we are either currently, or maybe we already
- 14:58have, surpassing the 30s and the 40s.
- 15:02Outside of having camps to kill the Jews like we did in Auschwitz, which the world could
- 15:07probably try if they had the chance to do it, we are in the hatred against the Jews and
- 15:12the globalization and the demonization of the Jews, I think we're surpassing the 30s and
- 15:1740s.
- 15:18That's a sobering comment you just made.
- 15:19We've got to take a brief pause with Olivier Melnick, the book, can be pre-ordered on

- 16:29There it is, Olivier Melnick, you type that into the search bar, you scroll down and
- 16:33here we go, all the episodes that we've done in the past with Olivier, there we go, and
- 16:39it keeps going.
- 16:40I don't know, there's at least a half a dozen.
- 16:44Look at that.
- 16:45They're very similar, but there's a different information shared in each one, but now this
- 16:49one we're talking about, a brand new book that's coming out available on Amazon and specifically
- 16:55he wants that to come out October 7, but you can pre-order that now anti-Semitism in
- 17:00the end times.
- 17:02Tell us more about the book, Olivier, is this, did you condense some of your other books
- 17:08or did you get updated information?
- 17:10What did you do in putting this together?
- 17:13My major work on anti-Semitism until that book was this one, and times anti-Semitism,
- 17:19I believe you have a copy of it.
- 17:22It was a work that I think it stopped in 2017, so we're looking at eight more years
- 17:31or seven more years of work.
- 17:33This version is a major update from the other one with about at least 30% new material,
- 17:41and it takes us to the end of 2024, so it definitely covers October 7, 2023, and how
- 17:49really beyond the shadow of it out, October 7, 2023 change everything for Israel and for
- 17:59the Jewish people.
- 18:00This October 7, 2023 was a turning point, a point of no return for Jews globally, and
- 18:08it has proven to be even more so day by day.
- 18:12Yeah, we're seeing that in the news, as you mentioned, but I want to go back to something
- 18:17on the description on the Amazon page.
- 18:19It says anti-Semitism in the end times provides a roadmap for Christians seeking to understand
- 18:26and confront this age-old prejudice.
- 18:29Let's stop right there, Olivia.
- 18:32Before we run out of time here, how do we get, now this might be a silly question for
- 18:36some mature Bible-believing Christians, but how do we get more churches and more Christians
- 18:42to understand the support that believers should have for Israel?
- 18:48How do we get that into the churches?
- 18:51Because aren't we missing something there?
- 18:54The answer, if you really want the real answer, it's three words.
- 18:58You ready?
- 18:59Let's read your Bible.
- 19:05So profound.
- 19:06It can't be that simple.
- 19:08It is that simple.
- 19:10It is that if you read, no, David, seriously, if you read your Bible from a literal grammatical
- 19:18historical consistent hermeneutics, which other people might call dispensationalism or
- 19:26dispensationalists, but really without scaring people away with words that they don't understand,
- 19:32but they don't want to be connected with.
- 19:35Consistent literal grammatical historical context, you get the idea that Israel is in God's
- 19:45plan.
- 19:46I mean, after all, the very first book of the Bible, Genesis, has 11 chapters for mankind
- 19:50and 39 chapters out of 50, 39 chapters to explain the patriarchs of Israel and the 12 tribes
- 19:57in the whole history of the Israel and several of the covenants that God made with the Jewish
- 20:03people are still in place today.
- 20:05So it's critical to understand that God has a plan for the Jews, a plan for Israel.
- 20:09It does not give Jewish people automatic salvation by virtue of being Jews.
- 20:14No, they still need to put their trust in the death and resurrection of Yeshua of Nazareth
- 20:19for their salvation.
- 20:20But this being said, Israel is going to be in God's plan all throughout the ages and so
- 20:25much so at the end of the seven-year tribulation, when the Jewish people say Baruch Habab
- 20:30Hashem at the night, those who have survived the tribulation, look up and say Baruch Habab
- 20:35Hashem at the night.
- 20:36Blessed is you.
- 20:37Comes the name of the Lord.
- 20:38That's when Yeshua Jesus returns, establishes the messianic Millennial Kingdom and Satan
- 20:45knows that when Jesus returns, He's not going to become Jesus of the assistant.
- 20:50He's going to be thrown in the lake of fire and brimstone.
- 20:52He doesn't want to go there.
- 20:54So, hey, if the Jews don't call Jesus, Jesus doesn't come back.
- 20:58Let's work on that and He's been working on that for thousands of years.
- 21:01And that's why anti-Semitism is there.
- 21:04So a lot of people in the church just, you know, they blanket everything with Genesis
- 21:0912-3 as important as that verse and that contextual idea is that God will bless those who
- 21:15bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.
- 21:19What you said is very important a few seconds ago, the covenants.
- 21:24How many times in the Bible does God mention an everlasting covenant, right?
- 21:30I mean, this means like a forever covenant.
- 21:33Talk to us a little bit about that.
- 21:35Right.
- 21:36There are eight covenants in the Bible, five of them made with Israel, three made with
- 21:41mankind, of the five made with Israel, four are unconditional and eternal.
- 21:48The one that's not eternal and conditional is the Mosaic covenant.
- 21:52It's the law.
- 21:53It's a discipline for disobedience, blessing for obedience, all the others, the Abrahamic,
- 21:59which is the foundation for much of the Bible, the Abrahamic, the Len covenant, the
- 22:04Davidic covenant and the new covenant, all those four are connected and they're all unconditional
- 22:10and eternal.
- 22:11Unconditional means nothing that Israel has to do is going to change that covenant.
- 22:18God made the covenant with Israel by saying, not if you will, I will, that would be unconditional,
- 22:23but he simply said, I will by my name, I will because of my name, I will.
- 22:29And so that makes it very different because it's based on God's character and not Israel's
- 22:34performance than God for that.
- 22:36So when people come in and try to push the false doctrine of replacement theology and
- 22:43say, well, God said that, but now obviously since the Jews blew it, rejected Jesus, he
- 22:48has passed on the blessings on to the church.
- 22:51And by the way, just the blessings, not the curses, that's for that, that's just another
- 22:56podcast.
- 22:57Right.
- 22:58Yes.
- 22:59That's some of the blessings on to the church and Israel has been rejected.
- 23:02Then you make God into a covenant breaker, which he cannot be because God doesn't lie.
- 23:07God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
- 23:09We get that from Scripture, from Hebrews, and you make him into a liar.
- 23:13So you cannot do that.
- 23:15Those covenants, the covenants are critical, they're foundational.
- 23:18If you understand the covenants of the Bible, you will get much of the Bible and you'll
- 23:22see that Israel is through all the Bible and you not only cannot ignore the Jewish people,
- 23:28but you're going to start loving them because you want to be in God's will.
- 23:31Amen.
- 23:32Back to those three words.
- 23:33You had me at Read Your Bible.
- 23:35So three minutes left in the book there, you say this, this long standing hatred has taken
- 23:43on its most insidious and lethal form yet.
- 23:47What did you mean by that?
- 23:50Well, basically, it is the right now we're seeing a convergence of anti-Semitism and all
- 24:05the signs are coming together where anti-Semitism and the end times is becoming lethal.
- 24:11It's the final push by Satan, basically, to get rid of the Jews so that Jesus won't
- 24:15come back.
- 24:16Christians need to go to the Jewish friends and say, I'm here for you, I will, if I need
- 24:22to shelter you, help you, feed you, just a modern version of the sheep and the goat
- 24:30that will take place during the tribulation, we can act on that today.
- 24:33So really quick, you mentioned something before we got on the podcast, Sarah, we only have
- 24:37two minutes left about France and this declaration, could you really mention that real quick?
- 24:42Yes.
- 24:43Now what's happening is I just got that like today, Emmanuel Macron made an official statement
- 24:52saying that in September at the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York takes place
- 24:56every year, he will, France will officially declare a recognized Palestine as a nation,
- 25:03not the Palestinian Authority that we've called it, which it is right now.
- 25:08But Macron basically is, I think, inviting the rest of the world to say, let's recognize
- 25:16Palestine, join me in this, he's making, and I could be wrong on that, it's just a guess
- 25:21of mine that he's making that official, he didn't have to talk about it, but by saying
- 25:26this right now, he's giving a chance to all those who want to do the same at the United
- 25:30Nations to join forces and say, hey, it's not just France, it's a lot of countries, but
- 25:35France has a lot of weight, it's a big country, it's a, you know, there, you know, so we'll
- 25:39see.
- 25:40That's something to be followed.
- 25:41Yes, something to keep an eye out for Olivia, thank you again for all your work, Shalom
- 25:44in Messiah.com, friends, make sure to go to Amazon and check out, you can pre-order anti-Semitism
- 25:50in the end times, brother, thank you for your voice, thank you for all you do, Lord willing,
- 25:56we'll do this again in the near future.
- 25:59Thank you for having me.
- 26:00You're most welcome.
- 26:02My friends, thank you for sharing the podcast, look up past episodes with Olivia at World
- 26:06View Matters.tv.
