- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to the Pits Talk podcast, brought to you by
- 0:03Speaker 1: Shannon's Insurance for your dose of all things F one
- 0:06Speaker 1: and Moto GP. Alrighty, Joel Kelso, welcome back to Fox Sports.
- 0:11Speaker 2: How you going great? Great? Thanks for having me on.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Oh we're so excited. I mean, this year is a
- 0:17Speaker 1: big year for you. There's been some big changes, but
- 0:19Speaker 1: we know you're back in OZ right now. We saw
- 0:21Speaker 1: you attending the Formula One over the weekend, so we
- 0:25Speaker 1: won't talk too much four wheels. We want to talk
- 0:27Speaker 1: about two wheels. But obviously twenty twenty six, new year,
- 0:31Speaker 1: new team, new manufacturer. How are you feeling about everything
- 0:35Speaker 1: so far?
- 0:38Speaker 2: Good? For sure, It's not been the easiest start, for sure.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I mean we did now almost I was looking at
- 0:45Speaker 3: it the other day, I think, like six years on
- 0:47Speaker 3: the KDM, so back because also we're on it in
- 0:50Speaker 3: the Junior World Championship. So now the transition to the
- 0:54Speaker 3: Honda is obviously not being super super easy and we're
- 0:57Speaker 3: struggling to adapt a little bit. But to be honest,
- 1:01Speaker 3: going into it, we knew that would be the case.
- 1:04Speaker 3: So with the team, we already discussed like way ahead
- 1:07Speaker 3: of time. We said okay, could potentially take two three
- 1:10Speaker 3: rounds before we were up fighting where we normally are,
- 1:14Speaker 3: which is the podium positions.
- 1:16Speaker 2: But then we're all working the right way to arrive there.
- 1:21Speaker 3: I think it's difficult, you know, I've come from podiums
- 1:24Speaker 3: and always been fighting up to the front for the
- 1:26Speaker 3: last couple of years to now be struggling a little bit,
- 1:29Speaker 3: and obviously that's a bit hard coming away from the
- 1:32Speaker 3: first round. But I think this is just a short
- 1:34Speaker 3: term thing. I think after maybe I think after coder
- 1:38Speaker 3: will be a big step, just purely because code will
- 1:41Speaker 3: a little a little bit difficult for the Hondo, I believe.
- 1:44Speaker 3: But other than that, then by then we should have
- 1:46Speaker 3: the grips understand the bike a little bit more because
- 1:48Speaker 3: also I brang over a lot of new crew to
- 1:51Speaker 3: the new team, but they've never worked on Hondu as well,
- 1:56Speaker 3: and that's probably caught us off guard a little bit
- 1:58Speaker 3: because we rise how different. Also the setup is between
- 2:02Speaker 3: the KDM and the Honda. So now we're just trying
- 2:05Speaker 3: to figure out that. I'm trying to figure out the bike,
- 2:07Speaker 3: which is the strong points, because you know, it's actually
- 2:09Speaker 3: a strong point on that bike, and a week point
- 2:11Speaker 3: and then the same advice versus week KDM. But I
- 2:14Speaker 3: just don't know the maximum how to get out of
- 2:16Speaker 3: the strong point and the weak point of the HONDI yet.
- 2:19Speaker 3: So once I get my head around that, I'll be fine.
- 2:21Speaker 3: And then I think also when the team understand, you know,
- 2:24Speaker 3: what directions we can take to help me in certain areas,
- 2:27Speaker 3: will be a massive step as.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Well, because I know you mentioned in your post race
- 2:31Speaker 1: post on social media that you having to adapt to
- 2:34Speaker 1: a new writing style. How does that work? Because you
- 2:38Speaker 1: guys can get a lot of testing time. We know
- 2:40Speaker 1: that weather really interrupted it. So then coming into round
- 2:42Speaker 1: one Thailand, which we already know you have the heat,
- 2:45Speaker 1: the tracks like obviously challenging enough, how do you go
- 2:48Speaker 1: about then trying to change the whole writing style?
- 2:52Speaker 3: Yeah, well that was the issue. We lost Portimo, which
- 2:55Speaker 3: is two days there. That would have been crucial to
- 2:57Speaker 3: us because testing is where you get the most out
- 2:59Speaker 3: of it because no one's stressed, no one's got pressure
- 3:02Speaker 3: on you. You know, sponsors, teams they're all not They're
- 3:06Speaker 3: looking over I wonder what you're doing and wonder where
- 3:09Speaker 3: you're not going fast. So the testing you get a
- 3:11Speaker 3: lot more out of it. But like I said, since
- 3:14Speaker 3: we're kind of going into the mindset of just let's
- 3:17Speaker 3: just get the work done now for the first couple
- 3:19Speaker 3: of rounds, even if they're a little bit rounds that
- 3:21Speaker 3: the results aren't coming, and then it'll pay off in
- 3:25Speaker 3: the long run. So in the mindset of things, how
- 3:28Speaker 3: me and the team are working, it is working in
- 3:29Speaker 3: the direction that we're not really rote about the result
- 3:32Speaker 3: right now because we can't be to get to the
- 3:35Speaker 3: point where I need to understand how to ride this
- 3:37Speaker 3: bike and also the team to be able to understand
- 3:40Speaker 3: the bike.
- 3:41Speaker 2: So yeah, I mean.
- 3:42Speaker 3: It's not been an easy start for sure, like you said,
- 3:45Speaker 3: like as in just trying to adapt the run. So
- 3:46Speaker 3: it's so difficult, And the worst part about all of
- 3:50Speaker 3: it is my pace is actually really decent, like as
- 3:53Speaker 3: in Thailand, from lap ten to the end of the
- 3:56Speaker 3: race lap nineteen, we literally were the same speed. We're
- 4:01Speaker 3: doing the same pace or if not faster, well I
- 4:03Speaker 3: think we'll probably add up to be about half a
- 4:05Speaker 3: second or second faster than the guy that finished third.
- 4:09Speaker 3: But the problem is the first ten lap, so I
- 4:10Speaker 3: was just completely useless just trying to figure it out.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Because also we changed the bike so much from well,
- 4:16Speaker 3: first going into qualifying and turn the bike up side down,
- 4:18Speaker 3: then qualifying to the race, we turned the bike cups
- 4:20Speaker 3: idea and again because we're just trying to find directions.
- 4:23Speaker 3: So the first ten labs, not only was I not
- 4:25Speaker 3: known how to ride the Honda still, then also going
- 4:28Speaker 3: into the race the bike was completely different, so it
- 4:30Speaker 3: was like a mixture of things that just was a nightmare.
- 4:33Speaker 3: We just kept running off track everywhere. I think we
- 4:35Speaker 3: went off track like four times in the first end labs.
- 4:38Speaker 2: But I want to got the grips to it.
- 4:39Speaker 3: We started since and light at the end of the tunnel,
- 4:42Speaker 3: and I think that's the most important part about the
- 4:44Speaker 3: proj is seen light at the end of the tunnel
- 4:46Speaker 3: in every situation which is happening.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Now, we know you signed a two year deal with
- 4:52Speaker 1: Quotes in there, but two years with m Love for
- 4:55Speaker 1: the upcoming seasons. What excites you most about going to
- 4:58Speaker 1: a new manufacturer. Was it the challenge?
- 5:02Speaker 3: First of all, we did a two year deal on
- 5:06Speaker 3: the conditions that I am able to leave to to
- 5:10Speaker 3: go up to Moto two. So to be completely honest
- 5:14Speaker 3: and the team and the team are aware of this,
- 5:16Speaker 3: that my idea is so obviously just do one year
- 5:19Speaker 3: and step up to Moto two still, but the two
- 5:23Speaker 3: years was just like a thing, a condition that we
- 5:26Speaker 3: wanted to put because if not, we want to continue
- 5:28Speaker 3: the project with Honda. And the reason behind it from
- 5:31Speaker 3: my side things well, for two reasons, was the if
- 5:36Speaker 3: I can start to get podiums and win on a Honda,
- 5:38Speaker 3: I'm proving to the Moto two teams in the paddock
- 5:41Speaker 3: that I can win on any bike. Now I've done
- 5:44Speaker 3: on KDM, you know, with believe four or five podiums
- 5:47Speaker 3: in our books. Now on the KDM, if we can
- 5:49Speaker 3: get some podiums on the Honda, we're proving that we're
- 5:51Speaker 3: adaptable to bikes.
- 5:54Speaker 2: So that's the real reason.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Why I wanted to change over, because you know, we
- 5:57Speaker 3: had an incredible season last year when we're negotiating with
- 6:00Speaker 3: the two teams will third in the championship, but they
- 6:03Speaker 3: just went a little bit unrecognized. So that was the
- 6:07Speaker 3: reason we want to go to the Honda, prove that
- 6:09Speaker 3: we can win there, and then we can say, okay,
- 6:11Speaker 3: we've proven that I can do well on Ogadin. We've
- 6:13Speaker 3: proven that I can do well on a Honda. Now
- 6:15Speaker 3: give us an opportunity on the Automoto two, So that
- 6:19Speaker 3: was the reason behind it. And second of all was
- 6:21Speaker 3: because the team needed a big restructure and they were
- 6:25Speaker 3: putting a lot of financial support into it. They really
- 6:29Speaker 3: gave me a lot of leeway to make this team great,
- 6:32Speaker 3: and like I said, I bring.
- 6:34Speaker 2: A lot of new crew over.
- 6:36Speaker 3: We got a lot of new parts, a lot of
- 6:38Speaker 3: big projects going on behind the scenes with them that
- 6:41Speaker 3: were so motivating and it's cool to see the team
- 6:45Speaker 3: have put the full trust in me, given me a
- 6:48Speaker 3: blank page to say you're welcome, do whatever you like
- 6:51Speaker 3: bring us to the top, which was a cool project
- 6:54Speaker 3: for me.
- 6:55Speaker 1: So I didn't realize this. So, Okay, you're coming. You're
- 6:58Speaker 1: kind of like now the number one writer. Eddie's been
- 7:00Speaker 1: there your team Radio Shape for a season or two,
- 7:03Speaker 1: so you've kind of come in and you're trying to
- 7:04Speaker 1: help bring everything up. Do you like having that pressure
- 7:07Speaker 1: of you're getting to lead the way or do you
- 7:10Speaker 1: prefer just to have, I guess, go out the base
- 7:13Speaker 1: settings and head out and race.
- 7:15Speaker 2: No, most definitely, of course.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I prefer get the results straight away and be in
- 7:21Speaker 3: somewhere Like I mean, I could have went to a
- 7:23Speaker 3: KDM squad that was another year on a KDM and
- 7:25Speaker 3: be able to fight out the box from the beginning.
- 7:28Speaker 3: But I do really enjoy this project so far, you know,
- 7:32Speaker 3: just everything going down to it, in testing in the preseason,
- 7:35Speaker 3: in ordering parts, well, let's just say directing them in
- 7:40Speaker 3: the ordering parts in the way that I believe that
- 7:42Speaker 3: could benefit us. Bringing the personnel that I think is
- 7:47Speaker 3: useful in the team and can really bring up the
- 7:49Speaker 3: level of this team. And then also not only that,
- 7:52Speaker 3: the team's in English based team, so it's cool to
- 7:55Speaker 3: be able to speak fluent English and have some Aussie
- 7:58Speaker 3: slang in there and they still get it and we
- 8:00Speaker 3: can joke around. So it's a great atmosphere as well.
- 8:04Speaker 3: And I just think that a project like this will work.
- 8:07Speaker 3: And that's why I'm really confident that after a couple
- 8:09Speaker 3: of rounds, will be at the top. And not only myself,
- 8:12Speaker 3: I believe, you know, with this new restructure, we can
- 8:14Speaker 3: really bring Eddie bringing more results to the team as
- 8:17Speaker 3: well and adding points to the team standing. And I think, well,
- 8:22Speaker 3: you're already shown that Thailand was one of his good
- 8:25Speaker 3: best races. Let's say so already the structure inside the
- 8:29Speaker 3: team and the new personnel and the new parts and
- 8:32Speaker 3: all that have already made that step forward for himself
- 8:35Speaker 3: and obviously for me. It's starting from a base, so
- 8:38Speaker 3: we'll see where we end up from here.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You mentioned earlier about once you get past Cooder, it
- 8:44Speaker 1: seems like you get back to those European circuits and
- 8:46Speaker 1: that's where everything kind of settles down again. Is there
- 8:48Speaker 1: any circuits that you're already going, Okay, I know this
- 8:52Speaker 1: is going to play to the Honda's strengths.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Definitely am marking off the tracks, but we're trying to
- 8:58Speaker 3: get I'm trying to get to the point where I
- 9:00Speaker 3: make the bike strong at all the tracks, the same
- 9:01Speaker 3: as how I had the KDM. Even though with the
- 9:04Speaker 3: KDM there are strong points and weak points, I managed
- 9:07Speaker 3: to find a setup that could work on both points.
- 9:09Speaker 2: So at the moment, I'm.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Still really focused on just getting the Honda good at
- 9:14Speaker 3: all tracks. But I just believe we need next round
- 9:17Speaker 3: in Brazil, and probably still America will start to show
- 9:20Speaker 3: some more signs of light. But I think after America's
- 9:24Speaker 3: when we'll make the big step, just because that gives
- 9:26Speaker 3: us a couple more rounds, you know, like last round.
- 9:29Speaker 3: I can't say, but we're doing a lot of things
- 9:31Speaker 3: behind the scenes that we should have really been doing
- 9:33Speaker 3: our testing, but we weren't able to for missing them
- 9:35Speaker 3: two days and then Brazil hopefully we can start to
- 9:38Speaker 3: work in the stage two, which is, you know, trying
- 9:41Speaker 3: to find a base setup for myself that we haven't
- 9:44Speaker 3: really done yet. We haven't been able to say, okay,
- 9:47Speaker 3: joll the bikes. You know, all the components inside the
- 9:49Speaker 3: bike is set like this. Now let's go forward and
- 9:53Speaker 3: start trying to find a base setup. So at this
- 9:55Speaker 3: moment we're literally just changing the inside of the internal
- 9:58Speaker 3: of the bike. Nothing with the with a base setup
- 10:02Speaker 3: to be able to find a direction, let's say, so
- 10:05Speaker 3: now I think in Brazil we'll get to do that step,
- 10:07Speaker 3: and then Brazil and America be able to find out
- 10:09Speaker 3: base set up and then go forward from there and
- 10:11Speaker 3: then find tune it because at the beginning, you know,
- 10:13Speaker 3: you make some big steps with the setup that maybe
- 10:15Speaker 3: you don't feel comfortable or what you do feel comfortable with,
- 10:18Speaker 3: and then after that's fine tuning, and the fine tuneing
- 10:20Speaker 3: is when you can get results, because it doesn't really
- 10:22Speaker 3: matter the last little part of the setup is all
- 10:25Speaker 3: just feeling and it doesn't really hinder the results too much.
- 10:29Speaker 1: You mentioned Brazil there, and I was just thinking, it's
- 10:31Speaker 1: almost a good opportunity that it's coming in a round
- 10:34Speaker 1: two because it's a blank slate for everybody in the
- 10:37Speaker 1: whole category of Moto three. Right. What do you know
- 10:40Speaker 1: about the Center Autodrome in Brazil? Because I've been trying
- 10:44Speaker 1: to find some research on it and I can't seem
- 10:46Speaker 1: to find all that much.
- 10:48Speaker 3: It's funny you say that everyone's been asking me, oh,
- 10:50Speaker 3: what do you think about Brazil? I said, honestly, I
- 10:52Speaker 3: haven't even seen the track yet, so I.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Haven't even I haven't even researched. I haven't even looked.
- 10:56Speaker 3: So I remember when Mogi if he did the post
- 10:59Speaker 3: about the trackgether that was about it, and then I
- 11:01Speaker 3: can't find the post anymore. So I haven't even seen
- 11:03Speaker 3: the track, to be honest. We'll rock up on Wednesday
- 11:07Speaker 3: and walk the track and we'll see soon see how
- 11:09Speaker 3: it is. But now I look forward to I hear
- 11:12Speaker 3: that the Brazilian fans really get behind it, and I
- 11:15Speaker 3: remember when we went t Argentina the first time was
- 11:17Speaker 3: a spectacular and always when you go somewhere new.
- 11:19Speaker 2: It's it's incredible.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I love that sort of environment and I think it's
- 11:23Speaker 3: super cool.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So you haven't like done a lap in a sim
- 11:27Speaker 1: or looked at a track. You're shaking your head.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Really nothing, nothing, absolutely, I promise you.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I haven't even well, I haven't even watched a lap
- 11:33Speaker 3: on it on YouTube or anything.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Now, wow, that's okay. Well I'm totally speechless. I would
- 11:39Speaker 1: have thought you would have been like, yeah, no, I
- 11:41Speaker 1: can tell you it's like this and blah blah blah.
- 11:43Speaker 1: But okay, I love that you're just going to go
- 11:45Speaker 1: and give it a red hot crack from the get go.
- 11:47Speaker 1: It's brilliant.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I like just rocking up.
- 11:50Speaker 3: And I mean until you walk the track, and really
- 11:53Speaker 3: until you do your first lap.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Like the first lap is where.
- 11:55Speaker 3: You learn everything because you you naturally just know where
- 11:58Speaker 3: the breaking points are, like from just like judging the distance,
- 12:01Speaker 3: and then obviously you find out the gears and then
- 12:03Speaker 3: you find out the last five details and like looking
- 12:06Speaker 3: at before is great, but I don't remember it at
- 12:09Speaker 3: all until I get out in track and then I go, oh, yeah,
- 12:12Speaker 3: well on photo it looked like you could break it
- 12:14Speaker 3: one hundred meters, but really you can break it like fifty,
- 12:16Speaker 3: you know, or whatever, So it's a bit harder to
- 12:19Speaker 3: take a reference like that.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Let's look ahead at the rest of the twenty twenty
- 12:23Speaker 1: six calendar for you personally, I mean, apart from being
- 12:26Speaker 1: Murder three World champion, what is it that you're really
- 12:28Speaker 1: wanting to achieve with the grid M Left team.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, Well, our goal is definitely be top five
- 12:36Speaker 3: in the world Championship. I think I'll be a good start,
- 12:39Speaker 3: just because we had to start a bit slow in
- 12:40Speaker 3: the season, like where are we at right now? And
- 12:43Speaker 3: not only that, be top onder would be ideal, and
- 12:47Speaker 3: I think that would be a massive achievement from the team.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Like I think.
- 12:52Speaker 3: The stats from them were the best point Telly was
- 12:56Speaker 3: like forty points or something.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Of that over a whole year.
- 12:58Speaker 3: So if we can quadruple that, you know, would being
- 13:02Speaker 3: credible for the team, and not only that for myself
- 13:04Speaker 3: as a award to.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Say, oh, that was a great season.
- 13:07Speaker 3: So yeah, we're not putting too much expectation on our shoulders,
- 13:12Speaker 3: but we're definitely aiming high and we want to we
- 13:14Speaker 3: want to still be pushing out the front and fighting
- 13:16Speaker 3: for podiums like we were all of last year in
- 13:19Speaker 3: the past year, So there's that end of the things.
- 13:21Speaker 3: And then obviously to achieve a motor to ride, that's
- 13:25Speaker 3: what we're gonna have to do as well.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So you mentioned Moto two a few times, then we
- 13:29Speaker 1: can tell that you're obviously hungry for it. Are you
- 13:31Speaker 1: already starting to be in negotiations or are you waiting
- 13:33Speaker 1: for results to speak for you to then make that
- 13:36Speaker 1: jump up.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, a bit of both, a bit of both, but yeah,
- 13:42Speaker 3: now we'll see, we'll see how it all plans out.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I think it should be.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Okay, you feel like you're ready to make that jump, right.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Yeah, most definitely.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I love the bigger bikes.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I really think that I can do well on it,
- 13:53Speaker 3: and I think, you know, with a motor tour, I
- 13:56Speaker 3: think a lot of it relies on the riding instead
- 13:58Speaker 3: of a bit of luck and slipstream like in Moto three.
- 14:01Speaker 3: And don't get me wrong, Moto three, you obviously go
- 14:03Speaker 3: to be extremely talented, but at the same time you've
- 14:05Speaker 3: got to be very good with close battles and whatnot.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Getting slipstreams is a big thing. In Moto two, it
- 14:12Speaker 3: seems like it's more on the rider to be able
- 14:14Speaker 3: to get the maximum performance out of the bike and
- 14:17Speaker 3: that puts you at least in the ballpark of the
- 14:18Speaker 3: results in Moto two. So I really think I can
- 14:22Speaker 3: do well there and that's what we're hungry to do.
- 14:24Speaker 3: And yeah, I think we'll be fine, but we want
- 14:27Speaker 3: to we want to be stepping up next year.
- 14:28Speaker 1: So let's talk about Australia for a hot minute. It's
- 14:32Speaker 1: been a bit of a spicy subject. We know that
- 14:35Speaker 1: the announcement came of the Adelaide street circuit. So this
- 14:38Speaker 1: year is the final Philip Island Australian Grand Prix. How
- 14:42Speaker 1: are you feeling about that? Because it feels like it's
- 14:45Speaker 1: a really bittersweet for everyone.
- 14:47Speaker 3: It's a very touchy topic for me. I actually spoke
- 14:50Speaker 3: with the premiere from Victoria on the weekend at Formula
- 14:54Speaker 3: one and it's a very touchy topic, isn't it.
- 14:57Speaker 2: It's it's super super sad to lose.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Philip Island because it's iconic track and everyone loves it,
- 15:04Speaker 3: including myself. It's the best track on the calendar for
- 15:06Speaker 3: certain and brings to the best racing, best environment.
- 15:10Speaker 2: It's just one of them cool weekends.
- 15:13Speaker 3: But at the same time, the new wave of motor
- 15:16Speaker 3: GP with Liberty coming in their direction is to take
- 15:20Speaker 3: it similar to the F one it looks like anyways,
- 15:23Speaker 3: and go into more of the cities to explot more
- 15:27Speaker 3: personal people, so like getting more spectators and more corporate people,
- 15:33Speaker 3: bigger sponsors and all that sort of stuff.
- 15:35Speaker 2: So it's obviously a business.
- 15:38Speaker 3: And I'm excited for racing in a city just for that,
- 15:41Speaker 3: you know, for the spectator side of thing. You know,
- 15:44Speaker 3: I think it'll be cool riding through a city. But
- 15:47Speaker 3: at the same time, I don't think it's like what
- 15:49Speaker 3: everyone's going to say is it's going to be a
- 15:50Speaker 3: street track. I think it's going to be a racetrack
- 15:53Speaker 3: in the city, which is completely different to.
- 15:55Speaker 2: A street track. So I'm excited for that.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Obviously, it's never going to be the track like Philipayon.
- 16:01Speaker 3: I mean, we're dreaming if we think that it's going
- 16:05Speaker 3: to be an ordinary racetrack in the city, and the
- 16:09Speaker 3: spectacular part about going to Adelaide will be that's in
- 16:12Speaker 3: the city and that will probably be about it. And
- 16:14Speaker 3: also obviously it's cool to race in Adelaide. I mean,
- 16:17Speaker 3: it's a new state will racing I mean, obviously I've
- 16:20Speaker 3: done some racing over the years all around Australia, but
- 16:23Speaker 3: I think also bringing the.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Whole Motor GP paddock to Adelaide will be cool and
- 16:28Speaker 2: you never know.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Look, I would love the idea of having two races
- 16:31Speaker 3: in Australia. Ideally it would have one at Philip Bayn
- 16:34Speaker 3: and one in Adelaide's, so we'll see, hopefully, hopefully one
- 16:37Speaker 3: day we can do that.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I mean, you've got a taste of the street circuit
- 16:41Speaker 1: racing this weekend at the Formula One, and I don't
- 16:43Speaker 1: know your opinion on it. For me, it feels like
- 16:45Speaker 1: it's such a big festival and the fans are there
- 16:48Speaker 1: to enjoy all the aspects of it. So I'm assuming
- 16:51Speaker 1: that that's what Adelaide's going to be like.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Do you agree?
- 16:53Speaker 1: Do you think that's kind of the direction they're heading in.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I do.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I do think it'll be like that, but I still
- 16:58Speaker 3: think it'll be different because in my opinion anyways, motorbikes
- 17:02Speaker 3: is super interesting sport in the racing terms of things,
- 17:06Speaker 3: and I think everyone that goes to a major event
- 17:09Speaker 3: gets really into it and watching the racing, and I
- 17:12Speaker 3: think you'll never be able to really take that away
- 17:15Speaker 3: from the motorbikes because it's so there's so much happening
- 17:19Speaker 3: always on the track, So I think that people will
- 17:21Speaker 3: still be a lot more involved in the racing side
- 17:24Speaker 3: of things, even with the festival stuff on the outside.
- 17:27Speaker 3: And I think as long as they make it good
- 17:30Speaker 3: as in for the spectators, because I think that it
- 17:33Speaker 3: was probably the biggest thing with Formula one that's a
- 17:35Speaker 3: little bit difficult for the spectators to watch as much
- 17:38Speaker 3: like it's not as successible as like Philip Pine where
- 17:41Speaker 3: you can just walk around and watch from eating corner.
- 17:45Speaker 3: But it's all up in there. No one even knows
- 17:47Speaker 3: if it's going to be done in time. It's a
- 17:49Speaker 3: massive project to make a racetrack in the city and
- 17:52Speaker 3: Adelaide stepped up to do it. But let's see if
- 17:54Speaker 3: they can get it done now in time.
- 17:55Speaker 1: So then do you think this year for your final
- 17:57Speaker 1: Philip Islands Australian gromfree, you'll do something big?
- 18:01Speaker 2: For certain? Yeah, for sure, we definitely want to go
- 18:03Speaker 2: out with a bang.
- 18:04Speaker 3: I mean, first of all, good race, good weekend, and
- 18:08Speaker 3: then I think we're going to make it a special
- 18:09Speaker 3: one and us speaking with all the OSGP Corp guys, and.
- 18:14Speaker 2: It's going to be a spectacular year because last year.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Was obviously in Melbourne in Philip Palm, so I'm pretty
- 18:21Speaker 3: sure everyone will get down and be super excited for
- 18:23Speaker 3: their events, So it will be a cool event, and
- 18:26Speaker 3: I think we should just enjoy the last one and
- 18:28Speaker 3: then we'll see if we go back there one day.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Exactly. Well, Joe Helso, thank you so much for taking
- 18:34Speaker 1: this time to chat with us. We can't wait to
- 18:36Speaker 1: see you achieve all the goals that you've set up

- 18:43Speaker 1: twenty seven. But before then, we will definitely see you
- 18:46Speaker 1: at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in October. So Joe,
- 18:49Speaker 1: all the best for this year.
