- 9:01[SPEAKER_08]: Who's the idol?
- 9:03[SPEAKER_08]: Most of these kids probably never looked at it or didn't care, or if, you know, and I don't think that they were necessarily images that need to be part of a curriculum.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_08]: Some were probably inappropriate.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_08]: There's a lot of, can I say this on the air?
- 9:19[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if I can say this on the air, I'll tell you how standards and practices upstairs.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_08]: Can I say this?

- 9:43[SPEAKER_08]: It's kind of a, it's artsy stuff.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_08]: I'm, you know, I'm not terribly upset about it.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, this, these kids can see a lot more on poor and hub and so on.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_08]: But, um, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's,
- 9:58[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'd be careful about teaching that, but in a state of an age, I mean the schools are teaching you how to change your gender, I shouldn't make sure your pictures of Mr.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_08]: Herring's artwork, I don't know.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_08]: This is, is this a Fox News story?
- 10:12[SPEAKER_08]: This will become a Fox News story, I suspect, because whatever group is behind the lawsuit.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_08]: Um, yeah, they'll pitch it to the national media, I'll end up in the New York Post, upstate schools who'd overpeen this art and, uh, all of that.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_08]: And, uh, you know, what's wrong?
- 10:38[SPEAKER_08]: Well, presumably the art teacher should have run this by her department had before doing this curriculum.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_08]: However, if it got out there, I would withdraw the curriculum.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_08]: apologize to the students, and carry on and do it right the next time.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_08]: If I was school superintendent, but I don't have the intellectual capacity to be a school superintendent, no one don't get me wrong now.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_08]: I just have common sense.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, but, they'll, they'll, they'll.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_08]: Now we'll never know what they're spending on lawyers, so in all fairness, the city hall, city hall, redacks, it's billing
- 11:20[SPEAKER_08]: The school district doesn't ever tell him that anybody you won't ever know what's this is going to cost.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know as we ever knew what the, um, remember the young lady we got the stuffing beat out of her.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_08]: And it was on the internet.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_08]: We don't know what that cost to district, although I would have to say it would have.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_08]: It's kept quiet.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_08]: It's an executive session.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_08]: You don't need you.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_08]: You don't need to know.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_08]: You just need to pay.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_08]: 755, 1240.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_08]: And we're getting some texts in here.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_08]: My granddaughter tells me yesterday's substitute teacher was a man wearing high heels.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_08]: Come on.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_08]: Oh.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_08]: That was apparently on nosey neighbors.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_08]: Teacher wearing high heels?
- 12:21[SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_08]: Somebody else texted in, well, that's just it, no place for this crap in school.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe if more people stood up, there'd be way less.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_08]: And kind of agree with that.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_26]: How do people are afraid?
- 12:34[SPEAKER_08]: They say, I'm not comfortable with that, but they're afraid.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_14]: Hmm.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_08]: Well, well, that's where you got going on here.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm
- 13:22[SPEAKER_08]: And anyway, it's going up from $10 to $20 or something.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_08]: And I was told that's a lot of that's because of dank.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_08]: Don't blame your county officials.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, development authority of the North Country.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_08]: They answer to no one.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_08]: They're not elected.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_08]: They answered a no one.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_08]: Yep.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_08]: They're an authority.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_08]: And if you have problems with authority in life, you'll have problems with them.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_08]: But yeah, they determine all of that.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_08]: So, anyway, got a call coming in?
- 13:54[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, Ryan the Air.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_18]: I'm going to say good afternoon, Jeff.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_18]: So I got a question for you.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_08]: Good.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_08]: Go ahead.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_18]: All right.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_18]: Here's a problem, okay?
- 14:06[SPEAKER_18]: You look at it because you've been dis sensitized throughout the years about these different issues.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_18]: And so many of you are trying to raise their kids.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_18]: Do not want them to expose the certain things.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_18]: the regular school subjects.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_18]: Okay, that's like somebody that doesn't want their kids to be brought up in violence, so I might shoot somebody in the edit stop.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_18]: Issues are always down through the line.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_18]: Different parents want to raise their children.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_18]: Without making more, that more decentitized to the issues.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_18]: So you look like it's not that big of a deal because you don't want
- 14:50[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, well, I have a couple of Paul lead.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I have a couple of Paul lead drawings and hanging in my house.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_18]: So yeah, I'm not saying that.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_18]: I'm saying because you watch different TV, you know, some of these kids and they're not even allowed to watch certain shows and stuff.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_18]: Go back to some parents that are very conservative and trying to control what's going into the kids mind, so they don't turn out to be kind of a wild adult job.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_18]: don't look like it's just not that big of a deal it is just some people is a big deal because the more you put somebody's brain you wonder why we have so many shootings I mean you got all these video games that blowing people apart and where that start video games so therefore because reality well the same issue on this art teacher thing okay once you start showing more and more
- 15:45[SPEAKER_18]: You don't know how that affects the brain.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_18]: Maybe years down the road, we're going to seek and reap the precautions of what's being taught in school.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_18]: Some way you're wearing high heels instead of teaching math and whatever the whole deal is.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_18]: I mean, we become so...
- 16:00[SPEAKER_18]: It's not that big of a deal.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_18]: It is a big deal.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_18]: To people that do not want their kids exposed to certain things to make them work in their minds.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_18]: Somebody wearing fricking high heels and schools work, yeah.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_18]: Okay, you don't need to wear high heels and have boots on.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_18]: Try to be a math teacher or try to be a physics teacher or whatever the deal is.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_18]: That's not appropriate school.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_18]: You're saying it's appropriate.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_18]: It's not that big of a deal because we see it all the time.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_18]: No, it is not appropriate.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_18]: That's the problem right there.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_18]: Once you give them an inch, they take a mile on mile,
- 16:40[SPEAKER_18]: And so on, so on.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_18]: Some people need to stay up and say, enough, there's enough.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_18]: And now I want to voice my opinion.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_18]: There you go.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_18]: You have a great day.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_08]: Well, thank you.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_08]: Well, he did voice his opinion.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_08]: There you go.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know about somebody wearing high heels in school.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_08]: I decide.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know about that.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_08]: What do you know?
- 17:02[SPEAKER_08]: I can't believe it.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_08]: And what kind of high heels I can remember he back in the 70s platform heels they were they could be considered high not so they weren't still out of heels But Somebody texted him it's a house fire on silo street.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_08]: That's right Prose from yeah From Shannon's place there and That little it's a little dead end street not much on it so I don't know
- 17:32[SPEAKER_08]: Any updates on that, give us a call, somebody text in what about corporate clanger on mash.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's, you know, again, that's, you know, that's a, that's a, that should that.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if that's appropriate either.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_08]: But you know, you can't sanitize everything in life.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_08]: Part of school is broadening your horizons, not restricting them.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_08]: Again, I don't know if there was any pressing need to show Mr. Haring's artwork.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know how significant he is.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_08]: I've heard of Van Gogh and Monet.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_08]: I've heard of Devinci, Mike Langello.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_08]: I've heard of Picasso.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_08]: I've heard of those people.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_08]: I never heard of this guy.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_08]: He's probably a darling of the left.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_08]: And is it that important that people see it now?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_08]: It's probably not.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_08]: Because most of these kids who saw it, if they asked him who Van Gogh was, they wouldn't know.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_04]: Good afternoon.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_08]: Samantha, how are you?
- 18:32[SPEAKER_08]: Samantha of Alex Bay, I have to say.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you know, okay.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_04]: I'm so glad the sun is shining.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_08]: And it's not a bad day.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_08]: It's a little chilly, but not bad.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I, you know, December doesn't 21st.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_04]: Is that officially winter?
- 18:51[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I know we're getting an early winter.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_04]: Ha ha.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, we are.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to figure out my social security income that I can afford a $590 payment for a $40,000 loan.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_08]: So what do you want to buy?
- 19:13[SPEAKER_04]: It would be for six to seven years, wouldn't it?
- 19:17[SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah, approximately what would you buy with your $40,000?
- 19:20[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I, uh, new furniture for one.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_08]: OK.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_04]: Probably probably refinance the car.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_04]: And the payoff all my debt.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, well, I don't know if they're going to loan you that because then you'll just pile up new debt.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_08]: I understand what you want to do.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_08]: It's a very enticing thing, but I'm not sure about that.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_08]: Who are you asking for this 40 grand?
- 19:46[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_04]: AFH.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_04]: I really don't know what it is.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_08]: I know it's just sort of, anything you see online, no.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_04]: And I know.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_04]: That's why I'm.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_04]: And see, at my phone, it's a message, it was a message, sent, you know, so I'm just, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I never, my life have, I, you know, financed anything over $10,000, so it's a scary thought, you know, I would, well, I don't know your situation, as far as furniture, what, what do you need for furniture?
- 20:27[SPEAKER_04]: I need some definitely some two brand new plush turquoise blue recalainers, a matching love seat, and the round table with new chairs.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_04]: I saw one at Matthew's furniture barn, and it was $569, but in the more, you know, I think God would be too big in this apartment, but I want it.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_04]: I want a round table.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_04]: So, I'm looking, I heard gardeners as a nice place for furniture.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_04]: They have some good buys, especially this time of year.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_04]: So, I'm going to go searching, but... Hmm.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_04]: I would like my sister from North Carolina to come here and go searching with me.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_08]: So, when you go in and ask for $40,000 from a lender?
- 21:24[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_08]: Did you just say, I'm on, what do you tell them as far as what didn't come here and what you do for a living?
- 21:30[SPEAKER_04]: My yearly income, you know, ours together combined is under $30,000.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_04]: So, and I have, you know, making, making car payments and rent payment on that.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_04]: So, I'm just kind of very about it.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_08]: Well, if the car is working, I continue to try to pay it off.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_08]: And then don't get another one.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_08]: And, uh,
- 21:53[SPEAKER_08]: then you share as far as the rant i don't know if it's rental assistance you're on but you got a nice apartment far as the furniture maybe there's maybe there's some rich river person up there who'd give you the i know that uh... well i've been looking around i know a couple people up there with some cash and uh...
- 22:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I guess that's what I mean, that's why I say I would love to have my sister come with me, because this cash flow is built by the time I can't pop in.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_08]: But I would not, I would not incur any new debt.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_08]: I would just work on paying down what you have.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_08]: Do you have a chair now?
- 22:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so I have very old and dilapidated.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_04]: I am there was this color of furniture that I found and it wasn't it wasn't actually turquoise blue.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_04]: It was called sea foam green but I really liked it.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_04]: I'm looking around and I hope to find it someday but the other thing I wanted to talk to you about is when the weather, when it changes like this, you know?
- 23:15[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, the environmentalists have been out about this a lot.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_04]: About the trees and how, you know, when we have a nice storm, a lot of them have to be taken down because they're dead because the ice has, you know, right.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_04]: I've done a job on that.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, well, what's your question?
- 23:38[SPEAKER_04]: Can, well, I know, I already know the answer.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_04]: I know you can't plant trees.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_04]: is this time of year.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_04]: But they do do that, right?
- 23:50[SPEAKER_04]: If they have to take a tree down, they plant another one.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_08]: Often yes.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_04]: California, where they do that, probably a lot.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_04]: Anyways, that's all.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't want to bore you with anything else.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_08]: No, it's all right.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_04]: I'm fine.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_04]: I'm fine.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_04]: Financial, you're environmentally.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_04]: I just wanted to give
- 24:15[SPEAKER_08]: I think we should have a, uh, I think Johnny should hold a radio thine for a new furniture for you.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_04]: If you want to do that, he's more than welcome.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_04]: And then we can have a new year's party here, and we can play my favorite game.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_08]: What's that, Twister?
- 24:36[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's officially called Mexican Train, but everybody thinks it's so boring.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_08]: Mexican Train?
- 24:46[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I was going to say it, but you can have up to eight players.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_04]: And have you ever played Twister?
- 24:55[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_04]: No, I do that vacuuming my house for a while, tell you, the dust really in the winter time.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, boy, it really gets to me.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_04]: So you have seen those vacuum cleaners that you just, you know, it's like a
- 25:14[SPEAKER_08]: They're called a rumba.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I hope you get your problem solved.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_08]: Just work on what you're doing and enjoy the good life you have.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_08]: By now.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_08]: By that woman a couple of chairs.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, without you know, there's a lot of wealth well to do people listen to this show.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_08]: Not everybody's poor and all of that.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_08]: Well, and I'm not talking about just, you know, people getting by, I'm talking about really well to do people who could afford to go get Samantha some furniture.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_08]: They don't have to get their name anywhere.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_08]: They would just have to call up, say, you know, furniture barn and say here put 5,000 bucks on my account and let her use it.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_08]: And this idea of a GoFundMe, somebody suggested that for me to the problem with GoFundMe pages, is they tend to be, they tend to suggest a level of desperation and all of that, even if the cause is okay.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_08]: So when you do a GoFundMe to get a new chair, to pay legal bills, or to do this or that,
- 26:29[SPEAKER_08]: Um, no, there are, there are instances where I guess it's a good deal, but usually it carries with it a kind of a, the, the, the taint of desperation and pitiful medicine.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_08]: That's why I think a lot of people stay away from it.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_08]: Um, well, anyway.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_08]: You know, that, oh, remember that lady down in clay, they were going to build that micron plant, which I don't know if they wanted this 91-year-old woman to move.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_08]: Sent from New York Media's reporting, she got 3 million to get her butt out of there.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_08]: Everything has its price.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_08]: $3 million.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_08]: That property must have been pretty nice.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_09]: I'm air, how are you today?
- 27:10[SPEAKER_08]: You're out.

- 27:13[SPEAKER_09]: Samantha, I have a consideration here.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_08]: now this isn't too personal you brought up a few times some problems that you have going on something to do with your i don't have any problems so go ahead uh... you don't have any no and if you want to talk about a monster call me at home oh well i'm just curious you brought it up on the air a few times they didn't think it was anything uh to uh all i do have problems yes there's no doubt about it but uh that'll come out late it's all public record it'll come out later so don't worry about it already i won't worry about it then

- 31:48[SPEAKER_08]: It's the number one definitive source of news and politics, especially, yeah.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_08]: There's some stories that haven't even broken in the North Country yet, and we've had them on.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_08]: Things like that Bruce Blakeman running for governor, now it wasn't in the Times yesterday,
- 32:05[SPEAKER_08]: I was reading a piece by Ryan Churchill, I have all been able to op-ed and send a Blakeman candidacy is problematic for the Republicans because he's pushing a pro-choice, moderate on gun control, you know, I'm from downstate type candidacy and against our at least a phonic and it's, does it make it tougher for her or not?
- 32:27[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_08]: Of course, you know, the abortion
- 32:35[SPEAKER_08]: I remember sitting at an event with a GOP candidate for something years ago and he's two older ladies were there and they were saying well we're very concerned because we're pro-choice and this candidate looks as many as it don't worry ma'am I'm a pro-choice Republican even though he had spent all this time
- 32:53[SPEAKER_08]: pitching, you know, Mike Long and the conservatives on how he was for a life.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_08]: So it doesn't mean anything, but anyway, Blakeman, you know, a New York politics, I don't know.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if it'll help him or not.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_08]: We want at least to find it to win, period, period.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_08]: Now, if somebody asked about comments on my blog, we've been getting a lot that are really rude.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_08]: I added a lot of them out, you know, making ridiculeing people's
- 33:23[SPEAKER_08]: six spouses or talking about people's personal lives and all.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_08]: So I want to get is, and the who can comment section is three gradations.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_08]: There's anyone users with Google accounts and only members of this blog.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_08]: I've toned it down to users of Google accounts that where we can keep track of who they are.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_08]: But if that doesn't work, we'll tone it down to only members of the blog.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_08]: Because really I get sick of it and then I get sick of people complaining well you put this on you know where this I didn't put it on but You know commenting I think there's a great thing for people but some people use it as a it's kind of like that meme page.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, let's face it.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_08]: It's the same people.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_08]: So there you go.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_08]: So we'll see what happens with the blog and there you go.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, let's see.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_08]: Now what is this all about?
- 34:28[SPEAKER_08]: Common appliance in a third of US homes is increasing your risk of cancer and diabetes and New York considers a ban.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_08]: What the heck is it?
- 34:40[SPEAKER_08]: Huh.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_08]: Nitrogen dioxide.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_08]: Wow.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_08]: And what devices is this?
- 34:56[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, gas and propane stoves, you know, boy, they want to get rid of those, don't they?
- 35:00[SPEAKER_08]: He he he.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_08]: They don't want you to have a gas stove.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_08]: We've had him for years, but they don't want you to have one.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, 75, 5, 12, 40 are from a number.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_08]: If you'd like to give us a call to be on the air today.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_08]: Oh.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_08]: Anybody, the demise of pennies and they're basically coming out of circulation that stop making them.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_08]: There's 300 billion out there.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_08]: 300 billion.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_08]: If I buy 10, it's 30 billion.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_08]: That's $3 billion worth of pennies.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_08]: Still in circulation for 232 years.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_08]: They're still, they're still quite of the realm.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_08]: You can still use them.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_08]: but most places aren't anymore so if your bill comes to two dollars and thirty three cents and they say two thirty five you throw a fit i know some people who would now if you're putting it on your credit card doesn't matter because it'll go down it's two thirty three but most places don't heat pennies in the drawer anymore hmmm they just don't still got some i got some i got to take in soon as i fill up my waters on saving spank piggy bank
- 36:14[SPEAKER_08]: So there you go.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, and the pillow guy, Mike Lindell running for governor of Minnesota.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_08]: Well, he's no, he's no Tim walls.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I don't know who's it.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not living that state.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_08]: It's run by Somalians.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_08]: Did you know that?
- 36:29[SPEAKER_08]: Scary.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_08]: Scary.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_08]: Remember Blackhawk down and all of that?
- 36:34[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

- 40:01[SPEAKER_08]: There you go, Amtrophic.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_08]: I sent something out to the post office, and I just checked the tracking thing, and there's they're sending it back.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_08]: Well, not the address was wrong.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's not good.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_08]: No, I'll have to check that again.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_08]: All right, he will do that, and let's see.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_08]: uh... what else we got going on uh... let's see thank you to all that horn fairy up in uh... cave Vincent i see that the over on wolf island you know that it went from it was privately owned mister horn passed and course like a lot of things like that and there's no one to run it so the village of cave Vincent i guess bought
- 40:52[SPEAKER_08]: the property in the cape where they uh... they loaded the boats and then the uh... the dockage over on will file and was bought by the township over there i guess they hope they get it going again and i think it's gonna have to run that minister play like they do on the Canadian side i need to my can't you state parks department do it as part of their program or something like that
- 41:16[SPEAKER_08]: Well, they got a consultant hired, oh, there we go, uh, they're figuring it out.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_08]: So hopefully they can get the boat back in the water of my next year.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_08]: So handy thing, I don't know a lot about Wolf Island, I don't know what's over there.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what goes on there and they get a lot of windmills and everything.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_08]: But I don't, I've never had the desire to go over there.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_08]: Now, on the Canadian side, where it goes from Wolf over Kingston, I think that's
- 41:46[SPEAKER_08]: step ahead of us there.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_08]: uh... okay well hopefully they get it done so seven five five uh... who twelve forty is the phone number that lead story in the times this morning about the school district in the uh... the art teachers and that is that fair what do you think it did it does the community really think about that
- 42:16[SPEAKER_08]: You see, I think that was done to make it into a Fox News story.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_08]: I bet you'll see that on Fox News within a week.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_08]: Sleepy upstate community, parents, fight, penis art, or something, you know.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_08]: And what do they hope to get out of it?
- 42:37[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, in a apology.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you can't apologize, because that, you know, government never admits it's wrong.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_08]: You can't do that.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what you do about it.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_08]: I need to talk to some parents or something, because I'm not really qualified to talk on the subject being barren and everything, but, um, I don't know.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_08]: I just don't know.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, seven, five, five, 12, 40, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_08]: And talk about pretty much whatever you want within the bounds of good taste.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_08]: Hmm, let's see.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_14]: Oh.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_08]: Well, now I'm going to have to wait for that thing to get back to my house and I'm going to re-address it and send it out again.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, my Christmas season's gotten complicated already.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_08]: gotten complicated.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, well, anyway, we'll do what we can.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_08]: Um, 755, uh, 1240, the phone number.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_08]: If you'd like to be on the show of shows today, and talk about stuff.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_08]: The person of the year, time magazine, person of the year, it is not me, it is not going.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_08]: It's the architects of AI.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_08]: It's not a person.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that may be a development, just worth mentioning.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_08]: That time's person of the year is nonsense anyway.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_08]: It's a really, a man, remember I used to get newsweek and stuff at home.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, when I was a younger,
- 44:29[SPEAKER_08]: had a subscription but nobody does anybody buy these things i remember going down to calendars market all the magazine racks and everything and you walk on the back side of the rags and oh oh uh... but uh... you don't see that anymore i mean i don't know if there is a such thing as a magazine sometimes you see him in the doctor's office
- 44:53[SPEAKER_08]: But I don't know if there's really these ones like Time and Newsweek if it really exists.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_08]: I'm so damn old I remember luck and life in a Saturday evening post.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_08]: Holy cow those were great great publications back in the day.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_08]: But not a really no much more now.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_08]: Well anyway.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_08]: 755-1240 the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show today.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_08]: And, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um
- 45:55[SPEAKER_08]: I guess you have to click.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_08]: But I don't want to do that.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_08]: 755, 1240, our phone number.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_08]: Again, we lament the absence of the angry man.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_08]: We don't know what happened there.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_08]: I had a name for him.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not going to mention it.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_08]: And a dress where he lived.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_08]: And I just hope he's doing OK.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_08]: Um, a star, just, nothing happened.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_08]: We hope not.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_08]: Alright, that said.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_11]: We'll take some time out for messages and be right back.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_26]: Hey, it's Nigel Spar here at FX to Prayer Honda, and if you're in the North Country, you know what's coming.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_26]: Windwinter.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_26]: So let's talk about trucks.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_26]: The kind that don't flinch when you snowpiles up.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_26]: You've got cloud trucks, four by fours, heavy duty pickups, and all the biggest names.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_26]: Shabby, four.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_26]: RAM, GMC, Toyota, and of course, 100 range lines that handle winter-like tropes.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_26]: And we make it easy.

- 47:55[SPEAKER_27]: It's the biggest holiday show of the season, and it's almost here.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_27]: It's the dueling piano show coming up Thursday, December 18th at the Strand Theater.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_27]: Straight from Buffalo, Paul and Ryan are rolling in to light up the night with your favorite show tunes.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_27]: And yeah, those must have holiday songs too, and you can make a whole night of it, because you've got the option to grab dinner beforehand at either bad apple downtown, or the bad apple social inside Ives Hill Country Club.

- 48:46[SPEAKER_27]: Thursday, December 18th.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_31]: Hey, everybody.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_31]: It's Derek and Kevin.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_31]: Overly.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_31]: So a super water town.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_31]: Kevin.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_31]: It's December.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_31]: And it's my favorite event.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_31]: Share the love.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's right there.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_03]: Now through January 2nd with every new Subaru purchase you can choose to donate $300 to one of five different charities.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_31]: whether it's animals, kids, or the forest.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_31]: You can donate to one of five charities, as Kevin says.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_31]: But I want to talk about one special one, which is our hometown charity, which is USO Fortrom.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_31]: That is something we've been doing now for 10 years.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_31]: So we're going to make sure with every single new Subaru purchase, you get to choose, but let's try to get as much money as we can for the USO Fortrom.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_03]: Derek, it's the event that we love the most.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_03]: And we're looking forward to setting a record month with our best interest rates in the year.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_03]: Exceptional least deals in the best trade-in values around.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_31]: Folks, it's all happening during December right here if you sell us Uber or water town.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_31]: During again, my favorite event, share the love.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_03]: So come visit us until January 2nd if you sell a Subaru, we're here seven days a week, even on Sunday from 10 to five.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_03]: If you sell a Subaru, where we will make you huge.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_11]: The North Country spells news.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_11]: AM 1240, W-A-T-N, water town.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_11]: Depend on it.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_08]: Depend on it, indeed, I'm 1240, we are WATN, and here we are.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_08]: Talk about whatever you want.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_08]: OK, we've got a call coming in.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_17]: Good afternoon, Jeff.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_17]: If you were talking about the demise of those week and time magazines, point of information, I'm holding in my hand right now the last print issue of those week magazines.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_17]: and it's dated 2012 that would be what 13 years ago and it's a real dramatic front cover, it's a black and white photo of a midtown Manhattan with the new week building and the big sign on the top of the building, new week and it says the last print issue, it's kind of a dramatic cover, so just want to share that with you
- 50:56[SPEAKER_17]: I used to listen to look at the time in those weeks for a lot of years when they were present in that.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_17]: I expect that I miss them and other times I don't because towards the end there I felt they got kind of weirded out at the both of both of them.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_17]: I don't know if they're on digital, they still exist digitally.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_08]: I believe so, yeah.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_17]: Okay.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_17]: Keep up the good work in 1999.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_08]: You know, that's the thing, nobody really reads my, I think there's something on well there's obviously a time because they got a time person to the year.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_08]: But pick a person.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_08]: Not an invention, not a device, not a trend or something like that.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_08]: Pick a person.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_08]: They don't like to do that because they might have to say Trump.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_08]: Now, Fox News is arguing that they should have picked Charlie Kirk.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_08]: because Fox News has become Charlie Kirk around the clock station now pretty much.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, he's widow was on every show they have this week.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_08]: And then they run the lexerpsome at another.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_08]: It's like I liked the new problem.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_08]: I thought the lady was very interesting what she had to say, but it's got to be more in the world than that.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_14]: Mm-hmm.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_16]: I got a rest that's next to me.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_16]: It's a commercial property building.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_16]: Mm-hmm.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_16]: The owner doesn't take care of it.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_16]: He lives in Buffalo.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_16]: The sidewalk has meant it was a show.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_16]: Shelled all winter long and you got to put a snow on and something needs to be done.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_16]: I called the city code department and I've gotten around around.
- 52:43[UNKNOWN]: I want something done about it.
- 52:44[UNKNOWN]: Thank you, goodbye.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, thank you.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what to say.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_08]: Nobody's going to.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think any of our listeners are going to go over and snowball it for you, but yeah, it's a problem, there's no doubt about it.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_08]: Again, in defense of property owners and some are not just absent, but some are older or maybe disabled.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_08]: Even if you want to pay, you can't find, I mean, you can hire some big contractor to come over and they charge an arm and a leg, but most people can't afford that, you know, just finding that neighborhood
- 53:19[SPEAKER_08]: people who say well let's let's shovel out the widow drones house there just you know to help her out and that doesn't happen anymore.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_08]: It was days of gone.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_08]: So unfortunately in that case some in defense of some and then there's other property owners who are just negligent they don't care they don't think it's important in their life.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_16]: Now.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know what to say other than
- 53:48[SPEAKER_08]: With all the money that spent on government, maybe they should just buy a couple of bobcats with blowers on them, just send them out and just do it.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_08]: Do entire streets or something now.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_08]: Just a thought.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, 755, 1240, the phone number, if you want to be on the air, talk about anything.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_08]: And, you know, sidewalks are certainly an issue in this type of weather.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_08]: It's not always easy to get them done right away.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_08]: Did it snow last night, eh?
- 54:25[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know how much it did.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't see it coming down, but maybe it did.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_08]: You know, you're trying to get plowed out and ready to go.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I've been doing it over 40 years.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_08]: And one thing about over there is, you know, you can come at eight in the morning.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_08]: You know what's going to be plowed out.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_08]: No snow days, no, you know, it's a family day and whatever else we're there, we're there.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, 222, 122.4 million Americans are projecting to leave town over the Christmas New Year's to the Christmas New Year's and what's that mean, so what?
- 55:07[SPEAKER_08]: Some people go over the matter and through the woods, some go along ways.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_08]: many of you will be going nowhere i understand that but that means over two hundred million americans are going nowhere to do the math i don't know how many people living it they say three hundred thirty million but then they got all these other people living here that we don't know about uh... i don't know who keeps track of all the ones that i says rounding up that kind of stuff
- 55:40[SPEAKER_08]: I was watching a hearing this morning, it was with the Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Nome, but one of the Congressmen of Republican was reading off the names that various Democrats have given to law enforcement now from Gestapo, and Nazis, the storm troopers, everything else.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_08]: you know i i often hear that because i say something like i don't think they should put out a press release uh... bragging how many people they wrote tickets to a christmas eve and i don't i think that's wrong but then you'll always get somebody texting in what you and i law enforcement no these these democrats are when the one's calling the police get stoppo and stormtroopers and everything else yeah
- 56:25[SPEAKER_08]: And how many millions of people that Obama deport a lot of them?
- 56:31[SPEAKER_08]: A lot of them.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_08]: How many drones did he fire on people?
- 56:36[SPEAKER_08]: He killed an American once with a drone.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_08]: A lot of people.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_08]: So, you know, you don't like what Trump's doing, and some of it, I don't either.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_08]: But, you know, look back and say, wow, what's with these other people we're doing?
- 56:49[SPEAKER_08]: And there was okay with the other side.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_08]: Oh well, um... Got a couple of minutes left if you want to chime in with a remark.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_08]: And um, we can go from there.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_08]: If that's all right with you.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, let's see.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_08]: Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do
- 57:23[SPEAKER_08]: they led with a net piece again today whatever happened at the local news uh... another big story that nurses are sounding the alarm over health here because i haven't seen any nurses up out sounding the alarm uh... the story about the clinton operas
- 57:47[SPEAKER_08]: for drum soldier gets promoted during a hockey game.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_08]: I don't like doing that kind of stuff.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_08]: It's like when people get married on the drumboat trying and I don't like that.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see what else is going on.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_08]: It's about it.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_08]: Oh boy.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_08]: Positive death reveal for graduate student found dead and river after all.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_08]: Where was that?
- 58:14[SPEAKER_08]: Not up here.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, Wisconsin.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_08]: That's not local news.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_08]: Where's the local news?
- 58:22[SPEAKER_08]: You got to go to nosey neighbors to find out nowadays what's happening.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_08]: Pretty much pretty much.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_08]: I'm surprised we didn't really get much comment on that story about the school district, but I don't think it's a big deal.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_08]: They took that teacher out of that classroom.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_08]: She's not teaching art anymore.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I'm to me that's not the end of the world.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_08]: They're going to see a lot worse than a building shape like a foul us or something in some piece of art or something.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, that's all it is.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I mean, again, I don't see any need to have that as part of the curriculum, but it's not the end of the world.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not saying I'm with Larry on this one because I'm not because he's very woke, but on the other hand, how much harm is there?
- 59:17[SPEAKER_08]: this is just some political action group that filed the lawsuit just to get publicity and that's all it is.
