  Speaker 2: frame of mind to try to be sharing and try

  Speaker 2: to be motivational and ubly even when it's not felt

  Speaker 2: or wanted by some people.

  Speaker 1: I have people around me.

  Speaker 2: Who seem to not benefit at all or anything, and

  Speaker 2: I can sit with them and talk to them or

  Speaker 2: take meetings with them to try to encourage them, and

  Speaker 2: for whatever reason, you know, they want to just keep

  Speaker 2: going the way they're going. When you run into people

  Speaker 2: like that, you have to pray for them. You have

  Speaker 2: to just hope that one day that they release the

  Speaker 2: chains on their mind and open up your mind to

  Speaker 2: a new way of thinking. A couple of things I

  Speaker 2: wanted to go over with I want you to all

  Speaker 2: today in terms of motivation. I want you to be

  Speaker 2: aware of statements or old sayings that have been created

  Speaker 2: that you hear over the course of time, and you

  Speaker 2: may be applying them to your life, and I want

  Speaker 2: you to be careful of some of them because some

  Speaker 2: of these old sayings man, are not designed for people

  Speaker 2: who are dreamers, are not designed for people who have

  Speaker 2: any aspirations of being extraordinary. These are not designs or

  Speaker 2: sayings that people who want to be extremely successful at

  Speaker 2: anything or have high aspirations to put these sayings into
• 1:47
  Speaker 2: your life. Let me give you an example. Statistics say
• 1:54
  Speaker 2: that's it. That's the one I want you to be

  Speaker 2: careful about. Statistics say, be very careful of stats. When

  Speaker 2: a person says, you know, statistics say one out of
• 2:09
  Speaker 2: every what see, listen to me. These are things that
• 2:14
  Speaker 2: sound like they're good, sound solid advice, but they're setting
• 2:18
  Speaker 2: you up for failure.

  Speaker 1: And you can't adhere.

  Speaker 2: Yourself to a lot of these sayings that's been passed

  Speaker 2: down from generations. And it's not scripture. It ain't in

  Speaker 2: a scripture nowhere that statistics say. It's just some people

  Speaker 2: and a lot of people who have lost have come

  Speaker 2: up with these sayings to justify why they keep losing

  Speaker 2: or why they lost. When I was ears got started

  Speaker 2: in the business, there were more stand ups around now

  Speaker 2: than it is today. Because the comedy boom in eighty

  Speaker 2: four eighty five was uh, it was scar and in

  Speaker 2: a lot of momentums, comedy clubs, comedy nights everywhere. The

  Speaker 2: statistic that a guy told me. I told him I

  Speaker 2: wanted to be on the Johnny Carson Show, the Tonight Show.

  Speaker 2: The guy said, one out of every two thousand comedians

  Speaker 2: ever make it to the Tonight Show.

  Speaker 2: Now, when he told us that, some of the comedians

  Speaker 2: in the room went, well, wow, man, that's rough, because

  Speaker 2: a guy had also said that there was approximately six

  Speaker 2: thousand comedians in the country at that time. I don't

  Speaker 2: know if it was true. I'm just telling you a

  Speaker 2: guy was out there fewer numbers. I have no idea

  Speaker 2: how many it was, but he said one in every

  Speaker 2: two thousand will make it to the Tonight Show.

  Speaker 2: People say statistics say, because they are set up to

  Speaker 2: fulfailure if you're gonna adhere to them. See that won

  Speaker 2: not it wasn't the lord's will. These are all statements

  Speaker 2: that sound like sound advice, but they ain't all the time,

  Speaker 2: got nothing to do with you. Stop letting these old

  Speaker 2: fogy sayings get in your way of what can happen

  Speaker 1: Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Who came

  Speaker 2: If you don't pour all your efforts into one thing,

  Speaker 2: If Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had

  Speaker 2: back to Ford and big for my job back.

  Speaker 1: Hey man, put all your eggs in a basket.

  Speaker 2: Just make sure that your basket is made up of faith, hope, belief,

  Speaker 2: hard work. Your basket woven by God. What you tripping for?

  Speaker 2: You're defeating yourself. Where is your faith? Where is your belief?

  Speaker 2: Where is your trust? At one point in time, you

  Speaker 2: got to bleed that God could do what he said

  Speaker 2: gonna do because he'd have done it for others, he'll

  Speaker 2: most certainly do it for you. Be careful of these

  Speaker 2: sayings that's out here, that's aligned by losers and people

  Speaker 2: to justify why they are not succeeding. Don't apply this

  Speaker 2: stuff to your life. And it ain't got nothing to

  Speaker 2: do with you. You're gonna mess yourself up, all right
