Traffic chaos is brewing this weekend in the Puget Sound area—especially for drivers heading north or south through Seattle, Kirkland, and Bellevue. Major construction on I-405, SR 99, and I-5 means full closures, lane reductions, and backups everywhere. I-405’s Northeast 85th Street interchange is shut down Friday night through Sunday night. SR 99’s tunnel closes overnight, plus northbound lanes are blocked for bridge work.
