- 0:00It is the worldwide sports radio network.
- 0:06New York Jets first year general manager Darren Moogie settled
- 0:09all family business at the trade deadline, trading away star
- 0:13corner Sauce Gardner and star defensive tackle Quinn and
- 0:17Williams. In return, The Jets got back
- 0:20three first round picks, a second round pick, defensive
- 0:23tackle Mozzie Smith, and wide receiver AD Mitchell.
- 0:26While the Colts and Cowboys are certainly happy with their
- 0:28acquisitions today, The Jets certainly stole the show at the
- 0:32deadline. We will discuss just how well
- 0:35they are set up for the future and if they won those trades.
- 0:38And in other news of the deadline, both Jacoby Myers and
- 0:41Rasheed Shaheed found new homes while other teams like the
- 0:44Giants curiously stood pat, not selling off pieces in a losing
- 0:48season or adding for the future. It will break down the winners
- 0:51and losers Tuesday night trade headline here before we crack a
- 0:56six pack with Speedy and make some wake.

- 4:02I I want to say something. I am one of the most weirdest
- 4:08people when it comes to doing things before the show and
- 4:13usually I have a little bit of string cheese, but I haven't
- 4:17done that on the show for a while because Jabba likes to
- 4:20attack me on the way I peel the string cheese or I eat the
- 4:24string. Cheese.
- 4:24You don't peel it. You're a serial killer.
- 4:27And you eat string cheese. I do.
- 4:29I Yeah. Well, what?
- 4:30I mean, what? How do you eat cheese?
- 4:32I know you. You.
- 4:33Use it to string it. String cheese, yeah.
- 4:36It's to me, it's the same thing as eating a whole bunch of
- 4:40cheese. So and, and if anybody has gone
- 4:43to weddings or parties, jobber you're going to have a wedding
- 4:46soon or you're going to have some kind of party.
- 4:49There is a lot of cheese at those parties and you get to
- 4:52choose what kind of cheese you want to eat.
- 4:54I like all different kinds. I like prevalone, I like, I like
- 4:58all of them. So I'm a test taster.
- 5:02OK, so before the show I bought a a bunch of fruit.
- 5:07So you have these bowls and you have watermelon, you have
- 5:10cantaloupe, you have all the different berries, everything.
- 5:13So what I do is I'm OCD when it comes to fruit so I put the
- 5:19fruit in different bowls and I choose what I want to eat before
- 5:24I eat them it it and I can't eat the same fruit at once because I
- 5:29want to test taste how the fruit actually taste from the bowl so.
- 5:35Wouldn't it be taste testing, not testing?
- 5:38No, I like test taste. You know that?
- 5:39That's my way of using my word play.
- 5:42OK so I test taste instead of taste test.
- 5:46So what I do is I put it in different bowls and I have my
- 5:51berries, I got some blueberries, strawberries, I've got some
- 5:54cantaloupe, I've got some honeydew and I have some
- 5:58watermelon. And it's weird because I go
- 6:01through like 7 or 8 bowls. And This is why Brittany always
- 6:05tells me you're a weirdo and this is really sick.
- 6:09Only sick people do this. And I said, I say to her, how
- 6:12could you go through a whole bowl sticking your hand in?
- 6:15If I I don't want other people sticking their hand in my bowl,
- 6:18I don't want you sticking your hand in a bowl.
- 6:20You work as a nurse. I don't want your hands in my
- 6:22bowl. So what I do is I put it in
- 6:24separate bowls. So if somebody wants a Berry,
- 6:27strawberry, you know, anything you want, you can go in the bowl
- 6:31and grab it. So before the show, I had it all
- 6:34set up on my counter. And after my shower, I'm, you
- 6:37know, choosing what I'm going to eat.
- 6:39And the watermelon had this weird, like potent taste.
- 6:43It's not, it doesn't taste like watermelon.
- 6:45So I, I, I tasted it and I just, I don't know what it tasted
- 6:50like, but it didn't taste like watermelon.
- 6:51So it, it tasted bad. So I wanted to go back to me
- 6:55farms to get another bowl because they gave me bad
- 6:58watermelon. Does that seem weird, Speedy?
- 7:00Does that seem weird? You could taste test as many
- 7:03things as you want. But you're a weird person too,
- 7:06because I've seen you you've gone to different places around
- 7:10the world and and and around the country, and you like to taste
- 7:13anything. It doesn't matter what it is.
- 7:15It could be a horse's ass. No, you would taste it.
- 7:17You would taste it. You you like meat, right?
- 7:20I wouldn't eat an ass, but if it's cooked, you might not even
- 7:25know if it's an ass. A cow's ass.
- 7:28You like beef, right? Yeah, but that's not an ass.
- 7:36The New York Jets made moves at the trade deadline on Tuesday,
- 7:40sending both Sauce Gardner and Quinn and Williams away in two
- 7:44different massive deals. First, The Jets shocked the
- 7:47league in trading. Sauce Garner.
- 7:51Yes, Ahmed. Ahmed Garner if you want to,
- 7:54yeah, I know there's a lot of people that don't want to know
- 7:56and call him Sauce anymore. Ahmed Gardner to the cult for
- 8:02two first round picks and their second year receiver Mitchell.
- 8:07The Jets only had to pay $15 million to source his deal by
- 8:13trading him. Then The Jets made Jerry Jones's
- 8:16day trading the Cowboys defensive tackle Quinn Williams
- 8:21for a first round pick and a second round pick and a third
- 8:26year defensive tackle in Smith SN Wise.
- 8:29Connor Hughes reports that Quinn in requested a trade three
- 8:33different occasions with The Jets for over 2 years.
- 8:37The Athletic reports that The Jets were unwilling to trade
- 8:40with any AFC East rivals despite getting decent offers.
- 8:45The Jets said that Garrett Wilson was the only player that
- 8:49was completely untouchable in trades.
- 8:52The Jets held on to Bruce Hall and Jermaine Johnson after not
- 8:56getting a good enough offer for either player, which was
- 8:59reported to be a third round pick for Hall and a second round
- 9:04pick for Johnson. Everybody that is a Jet fan,
- 9:11we're going crazy about this story.
- 9:14The Jets finally make noise at the trade deadline.
- 9:18Maybe not in a good way in some people's minds, but in my
- 9:23thought and the way I categorize what has happened with the New
- 9:27York Jets. The Jets right now are
- 9:31rebuilding. They have a new coach that a lot
- 9:36of fans don't like for some reason.
- 9:38I I have no idea why after 1/2 a season they're just throwing
- 9:43them away. This is a guy that is their own.
- 9:46This is a guy that was drafted by The Jets.
- 9:48This is a guy that was successful as a player with The
- 9:51Jets. We all know this was not Aaron
- 9:57Glenn's roster. This was Robert AKA Bambi Sala's
- 10:01roster. That's whose roster it was.
- 10:05All these players, Quinn and Williams, who wasn't even
- 10:08drafted by Joe Douglas in that regime.
- 10:12He was drafted with the regime before that.
- 10:15He was the only guy still a part of that regime on the roster.
- 10:21Source. Gardner, who is a sensational
- 10:24player, but over the last past year and a half has not played,
- 10:30as far as I'm concerned, in PFF ways as an elite corner.
- 10:36This year. He was ranked in the 20s in PFF.
- 10:39Last year it was closer to the teens.
- 10:44He's an elite corner when you look at the size and the ability
- 10:48that this kid has, but the things that he does on the
- 10:51field, yanking on jerseys and maybe not playing as hard as you
- 10:55would expect a top corner to play, it makes you worry if
- 10:59you're going to pay a guy $30 million, that kind of money and
- 11:05not get the most out of him. Aaron Glenn obviously didn't
- 11:09think that he would fit the culture in that locker room, and
- 11:14I've heard through the Grapevine that he hasn't been a culture
- 11:18setter in that locker room. Then there's Quinton Williams.
- 11:24Quinton Williams, who I have a lot of respect for, he's been a
- 11:28top defensive lineman in the league for the last 5-6 years,
- 11:35got a lot of money from The Jets.
- 11:37He had one great season with The Jets where I remember he had
- 11:41over 10 sacks. It reminds me of quite a few
- 11:46defensive players in the past. And we'll have Quentin Couples
- 11:49on the show and I'm sure he knows who I'm speaking about.
- 11:53I will give you one of those guys, Muhammad Wilkerson.
- 11:59Muhammad Wilkerson had one great season for the New York Jets and
- 12:04then got an extension. I remember there were a lot of
- 12:07New York broadcasters that said if they don't sign Muhammad
- 12:10Wilkinson, I'm done with The Jets.
- 12:13Well, they signed him. They gave him a big time deal
- 12:16worth about $87,000,000. He was one of the highest paid
- 12:19defensive lineman and then he broke his fibula.
- 12:24He was never the same player. And again, going back to The
- 12:29Jets, in the back end of the New York Jets, there's a lot to not
- 12:33like about this organization. One of them help your owner's
- 12:37name is Woody Johnson. Woody Johnson.
- 12:40That by itself scares me when we're talking about a guy's
- 12:45name, Woody and his last name, Johnson.
- 12:50He hasn't done anything for this organization as far as put the
- 12:54right guys in position to succeed.
- 12:58He has been the voice of reason when it comes to picking up
- 13:02players and selling them off. He's also a guy that opened his
- 13:07mouth so far this season and thrown his starting quarterback
- 13:12onto the bus. You don't want to hear that from
- 13:14your owner because when you have an owner that opens his mouth to
- 13:18the media, what else is he telling?
- 13:20To what? What else is he telling the
- 13:22media? The New York Jets are an
- 13:25organization that is the laughing stock of the NFL
- 13:32longest tenure of teams not to make the playoffs.
- 13:37And when you look at that, 15 years not in the playoffs and
- 13:41rooting for this team who has some of the best fans, I won't.
- 13:44I won't lie about this. I attacked the Jet fans, but the
- 13:47Jet fans are reliable when it comes to going to games, showing
- 13:52up and rooting for this horrible team called Gangrene, which by
- 13:57the way, they should change the name.
- 13:58It's it's a horrible name. It's probably one of the worst
- 14:01things about him. Source.
- 14:04Gardner is a guy that is dating a rapper named Ice Spice.
- 14:10OK. During the offseason, it was big
- 14:14in the tabloids. As important as what The Jets
- 14:18did in the offseason. That is what I heard about the
- 14:23New York Jets. Hey guess what everybody Sauce
- 14:26is dating. I spice, who cares?
- 14:30And the fact right now is Sauce is going to a team that gave the
- 14:35New York Jets 2 first round picks.
- 14:40Now we don't know what those picks are going to be.
- 14:46We don't know what Darren Mookie is going to do with those picks.
- 14:50We don't know if Darren Mookie can actually draft.
- 14:54We don't know. But what I do know about this
- 14:59team and about this coaching staff is Steve Wilkes will will
- 15:05not be here next year. I could guarantee that.
- 15:10And this team of misfits, and I mean misfits because you have
- 15:17briefs Hall coming out and and pretty much ordering The Jets to
- 15:20trade him at the trade deadline saying he wants out.
- 15:23That's why The Jets didn't trade him.
- 15:25And then Quincy Williams came out after his brother was traded
- 15:28to the Cowboys and said, you know some interesting things and
- 15:31posted stupid things. And that's why The Jets are
- 15:34sitting him out as a backup linebacker.
- 15:36This guy was The Jets best linebacker going into the season
- 15:41and now he's a secondary player that might not even start for
- 15:44the rest of the season. Why?
- 15:46Because he's a big mouth and The Jets have always let these
- 15:50players speak their mind. Not anymore.
- 15:56Aaron Glenn does not want his players going out there and
- 16:00abusing the media. Over the last couple of years,
- 16:04Robert Saleh has allowed these idiots to go out there, speak
- 16:10their mind, and throw the organization under the bus.
- 16:12Like a clown, like a circus, like a circus clown.
- 16:17And the New York Jets have always been looked at as a
- 16:20circus. And Aaron Glenn does not want to
- 16:22be looked at like that anymore. And I don't think Darren Mookie
- 16:26wants that either. Now, Woody Johnson needs to stay
- 16:29away. He needs to keep his mouth shut.
- 16:30That is something that they need to figure out how to control.
- 16:35But what The Jets did at the trade deadline was a slam dunk.
- 16:42Guys, think about this. I don't care what players,
- 16:46Mitchell or Smith, those guys might not be a part of the team
- 16:50at the end of the season. I don't know.
- 16:51We'll see. Mitchell's young, he's 23 years
- 16:54old. He'll have a chance to make the
- 16:55team next year. He was the second round talent.
- 16:58He could still be very, very good.
- 16:59We'll see. The Jets will develop him.
- 17:02The Colts did not because they didn't need them.
- 17:05They had Pitman, they had Downs. They have a bunch of good wide
- 17:07receivers there. They didn't need Mitchell.
- 17:09They drafted him in the second round last year.
- 17:12It didn't work, but with these picks, it sets The Jets up very
- 17:21well going into the next two off seasons and now they have to
- 17:27find a franchise quarterback. They have to.
- 17:30It is a must to find a franchise quarterback in the next two
- 17:36seasons. Now, I don't know if it's going
- 17:38to be in this year's draft because The Jets screwed up
- 17:40again. They beat Cincinnati at the tail
- 17:43end of the game where they were the bona fide number one pick.
- 17:47And then all of a sudden at the trade deadline, they move sauce.
- 17:49They move quitting and pretty much tell you we give up on the
- 17:52season, we're waving the flag, the season is over for us.
- 17:57Then why would you win that game if you know the season is over?
- 18:03That was the stupidity of this organization.
- 18:06I remember now. Thank God Trevor Lawrence is not
- 18:08a Jet after what we've seen over the last couple of years with
- 18:11the Jaguars. But the Jet fans were pissed off
- 18:14when they beat the Rams. I mentioned that on the show
- 18:16about a week ago because they lost out on Trevor Lawrence.
- 18:20Instead, they got Zach Wilson and we all know what he was
- 18:23doing with his mother's best friend.
- 18:27It's a problem when you bring in the wrong guys to an
- 18:32organization that's been a laughingstock.
- 18:36We look at so many organizations that have been laughingstocks.
- 18:42Cleveland laughingstock, Cincinnati laughingstock.
- 18:48I could go on and on and on. Miami laughingstock.
- 18:55There are like 6 or 7 teams in the NFL that are successful and
- 19:00have been successful over the last 25 years and you all know
- 19:04who they are because ownership success of leaving in place the
- 19:11right coaching staff. That is what makes teams
- 19:16successful. The Jets here in New York, they
- 19:21don't know how to hold on to coaches, GMs, you name it,
- 19:25assistance. They have one guy that they've
- 19:27held on to, and that's because he's the owner of the team.
- 19:30It doesn't. And even him, he wasn't there
- 19:32because he decided to move to England when Donald Trump went
- 19:35on to take over for the United States and his brother Chris was
- 19:40running the show. It's an organization that's been
- 19:45a joke and me as a Jet fan, I'm wearing a Danny Dodge jersey
- 19:49because I just got it. I it's a Colts jersey.
- 19:52I know Fish doesn't like it and that's why I love it.
- 19:54And I got it made and I will show you what it says in the
- 19:57back. My problem here is not what
- 20:02Darren Mooji has done. There is nothing that tells me,
- 20:09yes, Fish, thank you. My thoughts to what Darren Mooji
- 20:13has done at the trade deadline. Is not bad.
- 20:17It's good because what he is trying to do is send away the
- 20:22bed in that locker room. Now, Quinn Williams didn't want
- 20:25to be there. We've heard through the
- 20:27Grapevine for the last two years he didn't want to be there.
- 20:31Bruce Hall doesn't want to be there.
- 20:32So The Jets are going to do what they need to do in signing
- 20:35trade. I guarantee you they're going to
- 20:38sign him or they're going to what it What do they call that?
- 20:41Speedy franchise tag? Franchise tag Bruce Hall in the
- 20:46offseason just to piss him off and they're going to move them.
- 20:51They're going to do what they want with him, dangle him around
- 20:53until somebody gives them what they want, which is a third
- 20:56round pick. The Jets have done the right
- 21:01thing. Jet fans sit back and just smile
- 21:06you. Did you think that this was
- 21:07going to be a fun season? Did you think that this was
- 21:09going to be a great season? Do you really think that this
- 21:13team can compete right now against the New England Patriots
- 21:16and what they put together with Vrabel?
- 21:18You had a chance to hire Vrabel. If you wanted Vrabel, you
- 21:22shouldn't have let him leave New Jersey.
- 21:26He left and he went to the Patriots.
- 21:28If you wanted him so bad, you should have given him whatever
- 21:30he wanted. And that's why I think Aaron
- 21:34Glenn was the right fit for the right organization.
- 21:39He wants to be here, he wants to win here.
- 21:42He wants to show fans that they can win here.
- 21:46Why is everybody attacking what they have done at a trade
- 21:51deadline that was wide open and they got three first round draft
- 21:55picks and a second rounder for the next two years?
- 21:58Why is there so much sorrow and so much craziness right now in
- 22:04Jetland? Because the Jet fans should sit
- 22:08back and shut up. Zipper your mouths, put a beak
- 22:12on it. I don't know how you put a beak
- 22:14on it, but you could do something like that.
- 22:17I mean, kiss something, put something when you put a sausage
- 22:21in your mouth. Speedy likes that, right?
- 22:23I do. The problem right now is going
- 22:27to be what the offseason is going to lie with this new
- 22:33regime. Are The Jets going to make the
- 22:37right move? And what the right move is this
- 22:41offseason is deciding if there is a quarterback in this class
- 22:47they really, really want? And is that quarterback going to
- 22:50take this team to the next level, which they've been
- 22:53looking for for the last 50 years?
- 22:59And I don't know if there's one I've, I believe Fernando Mendozo
- 23:03is. Mendoza is a guy that I like,
- 23:07but does does that mean he's going to be a franchise play?
- 23:10I don't know. And fans, you don't know because
- 23:15once you go to the NFL, it's a fast-paced game.
- 23:19It's different than the NCAA. This is not playing the SEC, the
- 23:24Big 10 or a PAC 12. This is different.
- 23:29It is different. The speed of the game is
- 23:31completely different. And Zach Wilson, he had no idea
- 23:34what he was walking into. He didn't know what the media
- 23:38was going to do to him because as soon as he decided to speak
- 23:44to the media and say the things that he said and show up to
- 23:47Broadway shows and find out who his uncle is, he owns JetBlue.
- 23:52I mean, there's so many things that you wonder with the New
- 23:56York Jets that more than meets the eye about an organization
- 24:03that has been nothing but a joke and a laughing stock of
- 24:09everybody. Think about it.
- 24:10Rich Eisen is a Jet fan. He was excited about Aaron,
- 24:15Aaron Rodgers. How quick was that over?
- 24:18How, how quick was that marriage?
- 24:21It was done in a in a game really in 4 plays.
- 24:26Aaron Rodgers career with the New York Jets ended in 4 plays
- 24:30and I don't care about the season they played after that.
- 24:32It ended in 4 plays. And then when we look at some of
- 24:39the things that The Jets have done over the years, trading Sam
- 24:43Donald for a second and a fourth where I thought Joe Douglas
- 24:48should have kept that and held on to Sam Donald.
- 24:51What did The Jets give Sam Donald when he was here?
- 24:53Nothing. They gave him nothing, no
- 24:56weapons, nada. So what did they do?
- 25:01They brought in a BYU quarterback, which I agree.
- 25:04I said that I thought he was going to be good.
- 25:06A quarterback that didn't last more than a season where
- 25:11everybody said this guy isn't the right guy.
- 25:14Christian Hackenberg wasn't the right guy, none of these guys,
- 25:18but you had guys that might have been somewhat successful if you
- 25:22held on to them for a significant portion of time.
- 25:26Do you know Smith being another Seattle had a fun time with him.
- 25:30He almost was. He was up for an MVP.
- 25:32He was a top six, top seven player for an MVP the year that
- 25:35he he played well over there with Pete Carroll.
- 25:38That's why Pete decided to bring him in over there with Vegas.
- 25:42And now look at Sam. Look at the success Sam has had
- 25:45with Minnesota, and now Seattle just earned himself $100 million
- 25:51contract. Sam is happy.
- 25:54And when he left the New York Jets, I could only remember some
- 25:58of the things that he said on social media that pretty much
- 26:02settled him very happily to go to Carolina because he didn't
- 26:06want to be here anymore. He didn't want to deal with the
- 26:08media. He didn't want to deal with the
- 26:10fans. He didn't want to deal with the
- 26:11abuse that he was getting when he wasn't doing the things that
- 26:15they wanted. And that's when, and this team
- 26:19knows nothing about it. Now, Quinton Williams, and I'm
- 26:23going to finish up here very quickly because I'm sure you
- 26:26guys got your take. What was The Jets record with
- 26:30Quinton Williams in the lineup? And I'm going to tell you what
- 26:34the record was. They were 33, if I'm not
- 26:38mistaken, and 75, 33 and even at 30 in the thirty wins mark and
- 26:47in the 70 lose mark to tell me that this guy was something to
- 26:52cry about when The Jets decided to move on from him.
- 26:55I'm not crying. He's not a winning player.
- 26:59He doesn't win. And Ahmed, AKA source Garner,
- 27:05what did they win with him? He has been here for three
- 27:09years, right? Three years speedy.
- 27:12This is year 4 for him. So 3 full years with The Jets.
- 27:16This was year 4 for him. He got a contract in a
- 27:19three-year span, a big one, and what did he do?
- 27:24He was a two time all pro player.
- 27:26He was a three time pro ball player.
- 27:29He shouldn't have made the pro ball last year.
- 27:31He didn't play well at the tail end of the season and he had a
- 27:34lot to say to the media at the end of the season.
- 27:37He is not a good fit here as far as Aaron Glenn is concerned and
- 27:43only time will tell you if Aaron Glenn is the right guy here as
- 27:48well. I believe he is, but he needs to
- 27:51put the right personalities and he needs to put the team in
- 27:56position the way he sees fit to win.
- 28:00Yeah, and that's the problem. When you look at a team that's
- 28:02trying to get these types of personalities together, they
- 28:05sign the big names. I think The Jets, the impression
- 28:08of it was OK, we want to avoid the drama that was going through
- 28:11throughout the offseason that you see other teams do with
- 28:13these holdouts and stuff like that.
- 28:15And the Sauce Garner contract and Garrett Wilson contract
- 28:17happened literally 5 days apart. And I think because of that,
- 28:20they wanted to make that kind of thing work, knowing that all
- 28:23right at the start of the year, were we thinking a playoff team?
- 28:25And no. But were we thinking a team that
- 28:27still could compete? Yes.
- 28:29And obviously The Jets got off to this rocky start.
- 28:31But like you're saying, Arrow all year, they've been in every
- 28:33game. Besides, the Bills blew him out
- 28:34and Dallas beat him by double digits.
- 28:36But even that wasn't that bad either.
- 28:37The Jets still played very well. But at the same time, you're not
- 28:41going to turn down values that are this good in trades.
- 28:45Quinn Williams, we knew Dallas was shopping him for the for the
- 28:48offseason because of the whole Micah Parsons rumor that you
- 28:50guys talked about months ago that they were going to wanted
- 28:53Quinn Williams in a deal potentially for Parsons.
- 28:54But The Jets were not one player away.
- 28:56They were not one Micah Parsons away from being a championship
- 28:58competitive team. So there's no way they were
- 29:00going to pull the trigger on that.
- 29:01But there's going to be the market out there.
- 29:03And I was always saying if you could sell high on Quinn
- 29:05Williams, go for it. Like, if the deal is there, make
- 29:08it happen. Mozzie Smith, he hasn't been
- 29:10great in the NFL so far, but maybe he's could be a solid plug
- 29:13in in a different scheme. We saw that Aaron Glenn replace
- 29:16all these reaches that the Lions drafted his defensive tackles in
- 29:18previous year to make you working for a minimal defense.
- 29:21And same kind of thing with Sauce Garner, Like, yeah, you
- 29:24paid him $30 million. I thought he deserved it at that
- 29:26time. Has he been amazing this year?
- 29:27No. Has he been a top ten corner?
- 29:29Probably still, Yeah, I would say so.
- 29:30But you're not turning down two first round picks from a team in
- 29:33the Colts have been desperate for corners for years.
- 29:35The Jets, any Jets fan that's mad at this cannot be mad at
- 29:39when The Jets could get good assets to build a team.
- 29:43You don't win Super Bowls on three stars on one unit and be
- 29:46able to win with just like average to below average depth
- 29:49players. After that, unless you have a
- 29:51really, really good generational coach like an Andy Reid or a
- 29:54Bill Belichick, maybe you can get away with that.
- 29:56No other team can get away with it.
- 29:58But you don't know if you have a generational coach right now
- 30:00because Aaron Glenn's in position right now with a roster
- 30:04that wasn't his. So you have to take a step back
- 30:07and realize this is a rookie coach.
- 30:10He's never done this before. He's been a defensive
- 30:13coordinator and a quarterback coach his whole career, all the
- 30:17way through with the Lions and he was working with the Saints
- 30:20and Sean Payton. You got to give this guy a
- 30:23little bit of time. It takes three years to build a
- 30:26roster. It does.
- 30:27It takes three years. And if you don't have the
- 30:29quarterback, you don't have have anything.
- 30:33Why? OK, you say 3 years.
- 30:35Why does it? Why does it?
- 30:36Why? Why three years?
- 30:38OK, so the first year is always the off year because you're
- 30:42still moving towards figuring out what players fit your
- 30:46scheme. OK, so after the first year, you
- 30:49know this guy's not going to fit.
- 30:51This is got this guy's not going to fit in the locker room.
- 30:53So you move them. Now you got to bring guys in.
- 30:57It takes a year to get these guys to commit to your defense
- 31:02in your offense. And that takes a full year to do
- 31:05because the offense in the game is a little bit more faster from
- 31:09playing college football. So that takes a little bit more
- 31:11time to figure out how they're going to fit in your scheme,
- 31:15even though you believe they're a perfect fit.
- 31:17And then the third year, you got to make sure that your
- 31:21quarterback that you've had or you've built up to be your guy
- 31:26is uncomfortable in that offense with the style that you're going
- 31:30to run and the players that you have surrounding him and make
- 31:34sure that you have the right protection.
- 31:37And, and Fish knows this when it comes to offensive lines.
- 31:40If you don't have an offensive line, you don't have nothing.
- 31:45That's the way offenses worked in the NFL.
- 31:48You can ask anybody. You ask right now the Eagles,
- 31:51why are they so successful? Their offensive line?
- 31:54You ask the Lions why are they so successful because of their
- 31:58offensive line. You go down to Kansas City, why
- 32:01they won all those Super Bowls with Patrick Mahomes, it was
- 32:05because of their offensive line. That is the fact guys.
- 32:10And if you don't have the right guys surrounding your young
- 32:14quarterback and the quarterback you believe is your franchise,
- 32:18you're not winning nothing. And The Jets offensive line,
- 32:20pass blocking wise, there was advanced that I saw it in the
- 32:23weapons hot group. They were actually #1 going into
- 32:26Week 8 in terms of some some kind of advanced pass blocking
- 32:29metric. So it shows that they have that
- 32:31part of it down. Obviously Garrett Wilson's had a
- 32:32great year. So you have those part of it's
- 32:34going for your offensive side of the ball.
- 32:36But again, the defense is something that you still
- 32:38thought. And I was, I fell for it too.
- 32:40I dropped for them in fantasy in our job on the mouth league.
- 32:42That was still going to be a strength for them.
- 32:44I didn't. Yeah.
- 32:45And with the pass rush, with the secondary that they thought they
- 32:48had, on paper, it looked like be the case.
- 32:49Obviously that wasn't the case because obviously Sauce was.
- 32:51You know what scared me about The Jets defense right after
- 32:54what they gave Sherwood that kind of money.
- 32:57They gave Sherwood a $40 million contract and I was like, what
- 33:00did Jamie and Sherwood, he's been on this show before.
- 33:03We've had him on this show. He had nothing to say when we
- 33:06were interviewing. I pull so many tricks out of the
- 33:08hat when I have guests that don't really speak.
- 33:11And this guy, I could pull 6 or 7 tricks and maybe do a tumble
- 33:15twist and I still couldn't get anything out of this man.
- 33:18So why did I believe he was the cornerstone of a defense that
- 33:23really didn't know who they they were after?
- 33:25You know, there was a guy that was so detrimental important to
- 33:31that defense who's no longer in the NFL.
- 33:33And you know what I'm talking about speedy CJ Mosley.
- 33:37I was. That was the point I brought up
- 33:39at the beginning of the season. And Speedy, you remember that we
- 33:41had this conversation that it doesn't matter that his skills
- 33:44were declining. You need a captain of the
- 33:47defense now. Sherwood has been a league
- 33:50average linebacker. According to PFF.
- 33:53He's 35th out of 82 qualifying linebackers.
- 33:57He's. Fine, but the problem is you can
- 34:00have a guy who's fine at linebacker if you have a captain
- 34:04of the defense playing next to him.
- 34:06And now CJ Mosley's not there. This is a guy who was
- 34:09experienced enough to set guys up in the right place.
- 34:12And the example I used back when we first talked about it was
- 34:15Antonio Pierce as a Giants fan. When the Giants won those
- 34:18championships, they traded for Antonio Pierce.
- 34:20He became the quarterback of the defense, they say, at that Mike
- 34:24linebacker position and having that communication.
- 34:27And Errol, I don't think I was with you when Sherwood came on,
- 34:30but if it was hard to communicate with him on the on
- 34:32the air, I can imagine he's not a great communicator on the
- 34:36field either. And that's the biggest thing you
- 34:38need to be able to do. You need that and you need a guy
- 34:40like that in the secondary to make sure the secondary strength
- 34:43is set correctly as well in the NFL level and in like D1 college
- 34:46and stuff like that. They don't have the middle of
- 34:50the field figured out. It doesn't matter how good
- 34:53Sherwood is, he's fine. They don't have a leader there.
- 34:56And they're secondary. I mean, the safety play now they
- 34:58have a young kid that I really, really like.
- 35:00And I'm starting to see that he might have potential from
- 35:03Alabama. He looks like he's going to be
- 35:05decent. But everybody else in that
- 35:07secondary you question, Michael Carter didn't fit in this
- 35:10defense. This guy was one of the best
- 35:11slot defenders in all of football for the last three
- 35:14years under Robert Sala. He went from great to horrible.
- 35:19And now he's going to an Eagle team that really doesn't need
- 35:21them and they're just they're a bag of riches.
- 35:24I mean, think about it, Phillips, I, I mean, who's
- 35:27better than the Eagles right now sitting And I'm, I'm an Eagles
- 35:30fan, so I'm loving it. So I'm not going to complain
- 35:31about it. The Jets love to make trades
- 35:34with the Eagles and and the Eagles like to make trades with
- 35:37The Jets. So I'm not going to cry about
- 35:39it. I'm both a Jets and Eagles fan.
- 35:41So but it bothers me when you sit back and you realize The
- 35:45Jets have been an organization that really depends on certain
- 35:50players in a defense as much as they do in an offense.
- 35:53They haven't had a guy that and quarterback and they don't they
- 35:56don't really have a leader in that defense anymore.
- 35:59And that secondary, let's be honest, when you talk about
- 36:02secondary captains and you give source Garner the captaincy
- 36:07going into the last two seasons, I don't care what he is an all
- 36:10pro pro ball player. I could care less when he's not
- 36:13out there talking to the other corners and he's pretty much
- 36:16going on the sidelines and throwing his helmet and
- 36:19complaining to the coaches that he's not seeing or the other
- 36:22guys are not in the right positions.
- 36:23And he's not in the right positions in the red zone, which
- 36:26The Jets are one of the worst at.
- 36:29It tells me that source Corner is not an elite corner as much
- 36:32as we thought he was. Yeah.
- 36:34I also think you look at a lot of defenses that have won in
- 36:37recent years too. Like sometimes you can get away
- 36:39with it with good coaching combined with maybe one or two
- 36:42star players too. And you could see the value was
- 36:44still there for the advanced metrics for Quinn and Williams.
- 36:46Quinn and Williams was a guy that you've said it in other
- 36:49years, Errol sometimes get double teams so he doesn't get
- 36:51the sack totals as much, but still was productive in other
- 36:53areas. And same kind of thing with
- 36:55Sauce. Sauce has a physical role as a
- 36:58corner that it's hard to find now.
- 36:59He's had issues with effort tackling and stuff like that
- 37:02too. But clearly the Colts and a lot
- 37:03of other teams around the league did not think that way.
- 37:06And same kind of thing with Quinny Williams.
- 37:07Quinny Williams was only going to be sold high because of the
- 37:09quickness and the advanced metrics that work.
- 37:11Now he fits in the Colts defense.
- 37:13He really does like a glove. The Colts needed a number one
- 37:17corner and he fits there now. We'll see how he plays under a
- 37:21different regime. He plays with a better defense
- 37:24and with any elite team. We'll see if source Garner goes
- 37:27out there and gives it his all because he hasn't given his all
- 37:31for the last two seasons. He really hasn't.
- 37:33And and any Jet fan that has seen this guy play in the first
- 37:36two years and try to correct themselves on what source Garner
- 37:39has been that the final two years with his Jets career, you
- 37:44can wonder if he really wanted to go out there and play or just
- 37:47wanted to be on commercials or go sign autographs or be there
- 37:53with a superstar. Ralph Pepper and show up to all
- 37:56her concerts in the offseason and not show up to certain
- 37:59practices and certain OTA's. He should have showed up to I
- 38:03I'm just, I'm speaking the truth here.
- 38:05And I don't know Sauce Garner in a hole in a wall.
- 38:07And yes, Nathan, I know you know him.
- 38:10I know you posted up the pictures.
- 38:12I know you know his brother and I would love to get his brother
- 38:15on the show because I would love to hear his take on the sauce
- 38:17Garner situation. Sauce Garner.
- 38:20Here's another problem that I don't like about sauce.
- 38:23Source. After he got traded, what did he
- 38:25say? Speedy, do you remember what he
- 38:27said? I do not.
- 38:28Well, he said something in 4 words.
- 38:31So long, so long. New York, Whatever.
- 38:35It's up on the screen for you, arrow on the top of the screen.
- 38:37I got the tweet right there. New York.
- 38:39I can't see. It's been real a green hearts.
- 38:42All right, So if you're number one pick and you're a star with
- 38:46a team and you're an organization and you just got
- 38:48traded and, and fans are upset and you know fans are upset
- 38:53because they love you and you're 1 of you have one of the hottest
- 38:56jersey sales for the New York Jets.
- 38:58As a matter of fact, I think he was number one this year.
- 39:02So how do you say 4 words and a heart and that's all you say to
- 39:08the fans? Why don't you do what Daniel
- 39:11Jones was being ridiculed by the Giant fans and then when he got
- 39:16let go and, and pretty much thrown to the walls and he goes
- 39:19to Minnesota and now he's with, he's with the, he's with the the
- 39:23great and powerful Indianapolis Colts.
- 39:26Because I say great and powerful because Danny Dimes is winning
- 39:29baby. He wrote a whole story to the
- 39:34Giant fans, telling the fans goodbye and thank you for
- 39:39showing up to games and supporting him for all the
- 39:42things that he tried to do for the fan base.
- 39:45That's what you want to hear from your superstar player.
- 39:49And what did you hear from Source Garner?
- 39:52Nothing immaturity and it shows you how much love he had over
- 39:57here. For the Jet fans and Jet fans,
- 39:59you shouldn't have sorrow, you shouldn't be upset.
- 40:02You should smile and wave goodbye.
- 40:05Because that's what I'm doing to Sauz Garner, enjoy.
- 40:08I hope you win a Super Bowl. I hope you go to the Super Bowl
- 40:10with the Colts because we're going to be there at the Super
- 40:13Bowl. And I'd love to interview you
- 40:15and ask you your true opinion on why you didn't post up a nice
- 40:21letter to the Jet fans. Because to me.
- 40:23OK, so, so let me ask you this there as an athlete, why do you
- 40:26think we owe that to you? I'm not, I'm not saying you owe
- 40:30anything to me. I'm a I'm a OK.
- 40:32No, what I'm saying as the fan, as a fan base, I'm asking you
- 40:35say why, why did he only write that comparable to some other
- 40:39people that there's been a lot of dudes that have wrote short
- 40:42little excerpts that have kind of been the same thing, but but
- 40:44hit on the same way. Do you like, I'm just wondering
- 40:48from your perspective. I'm.
- 40:49Going to give it to you, do you? Feel like we owe that as the
- 40:53athlete because you took us in in the draft that we give you
- 40:58some sort of kumbaya as as we leave and and whatever.
- 41:03And obviously there's more to it than that.
- 41:05I in in accepting and being a part of the culture in the
- 41:08community. Like I understand that.
- 41:10But as far as that being said, like from his perspective like
- 41:13that, like do you feel like he has to do more?
- 41:16Like that's an obligation that he it owes you guys?
- 41:20Here's my opinion and we have to move on.
- 41:22But here's my opinion to ABBA as a fan.
- 41:26And I'm I'm a media guy, so I can't tell you, even though I
- 41:28root for The Jets, I could care less what source Garner says or
- 41:32does. I really don't care.
- 41:34But there are young kids out there that look up to him.
- 41:37They look up to him and they he goes to these autograph signings
- 41:41and and says that I'm going to be a jet for life.
- 41:43I want to be a jet for life. And you get traded and instead
- 41:48of showing sorrow and up being upset, you just pretty much wave
- 41:53the flag and say, you know, a couple of words.
- 41:56And as a young kid and a person that rooted for a team your
- 42:00whole life and seen so many bad football.
- 42:05And you were the finally a guy that was going to resurrect that
- 42:08position because Darrelle Reeves is retired.
- 42:10And you have Aaron Glenn, who was the last great corner on the
- 42:15organ, you know, with this organization that was drafted by
- 42:17the organization. And that's all you put out
- 42:19there. I, I do, I believe that it as a,
- 42:23as a professional and as a guy that fans are look up to young
- 42:27kids, look up to, you have to go out there and give them some
- 42:32kind of respect and, and show them that you loved playing
- 42:36here, that you adored the young fans and that you're sorry that
- 42:41it didn't work out with the New York Jets.
- 42:43And, and that's my opinion too. Towards Sauce Garner, Quinton
- 42:47Williams posted up something nice to the Jet fans.
- 42:50Yeah, no, I I just wanted your like your take on it as like
- 42:53obviously both sides as a fan, like kind of weird because I I
- 42:56don't know if you guys saw the video of the little kid of the
- 42:58dad, his dad telling him that sauce got traded and like he
- 43:01started crying and stuff like that.
- 43:03So I understand, like I understand that that part
- 43:06obviously, I don't know the insurance and outs of what he's,
- 43:09you know, in the signings, what he's saying, because that's
- 43:11obviously if you go out and say this to to that type of kid,
- 43:14it's it's things that they're never going to forget and then
- 43:18they're going to, you know, they're going to hold that
- 43:19against them. I mean, there's so many stories
- 43:21that I think we've all heard where it's like, oh, he got
- 43:24traded and then beat us and I now I hate that team or
- 43:26whatever. I mean, there's, there's so many
- 43:28stories like that, but I always find it interesting that like
- 43:31how you guys perceive of somebody leaving that was
- 43:34drafted from the organization and and doesn't give whatever
- 43:39you felt like it is. Because I mean, there's, there's
- 43:41really no job description, like I've said before, but there is
- 43:43part of a responsibility as somebody that has has paid their
- 43:49time there, but also the people that have paid their time to
- 43:51watch you and in the respect factor both.
- 43:54So I I understand. Outside of The Jets, teams were
- 43:56active before the trade deadline on Tuesday.
- 43:59The Eagles started the fireworks early, boosting their defense by
- 44:03trading for edge rusher Phillips from the Dolphins and cornerback
- 44:08Carter from The Jets and Alexander from the Ravens.
- 44:13The Patriots were also active but also shedding veterans.
- 44:17More than adding pieces. The Pats moved on from safety.
- 44:22Mr. Duggar. I couldn't stand him and could
- 44:25never stay healthy. Trading him to the Steelers and
- 44:28Ed Rusher White to the 49ers, freeing up Caprum.
- 44:32The Jaguars traded full wide receiver Jacoby and Myers from
- 44:36the Raiders after the Gremlin is out on IR.
- 44:40Not surprised. Ladies and gentlemen, Travis
- 44:42Hunter is out for a significant amount of time, probably the
- 44:45season. So sayonara.
- 44:47As I told Quinton Williams, no interceptions and he will not
- 44:51have an interception this year. I can't wait to hear that one.
- 44:55The Seahawks also added an impact receiver as they added
- 45:00Saints deep thread Shaheed. So he's part of my fantasy team,
- 45:05so I'm happy about that. In some smaller moves, the Bears
- 45:08added Ed Dresser try on from the Browns and the Ravens got
- 45:12defensive tackle Jones from the Titans and the Cowboys added
- 45:16linebacker Wilson from the Bengals.
- 45:19Most playoff contending teams didn't make any moves with teams
- 45:23like the Chiefs, the Bills, the Lions, the Buccaneers.
- 45:26Just hoping their guys getting healthy will provide a spark.
- 45:31GM Joe Shane and the Giants also stayed pat.
- 45:36For you Giant fans who thought you were going to get another
- 45:39wide receiver here, that didn't work.
- 45:42And there were guys from Miami that were available, and if they
- 45:46had any chance to get one of those guys, they should have
- 45:49made the move at the trade deadline because it's going to
- 45:51be a little bit more expensive in the offseason.
- 45:54That's my opinion. The Giants are not a playoff
- 45:58team. The Giants aren't making the
- 45:59playoffs. We knew that after the Broncos
- 46:02game. If they win that game, I think
- 46:04the Giants go heavily after a wide receiver because they
- 46:08believe they have a chance. I don't think they believe it.
- 46:10I think the Giants are going to stay pat and they did stay pat
- 46:14and realize that this team has an opportunity next year to make
- 46:18a run if Jackson Dart plays a full season and has the right
- 46:22protection at the offensive line.
- 46:24So that was my opinion with the New York Giants for you Giants
- 46:27fans. So don't be sad.
- 46:29We'll see what if Cam comes back healthy, Mr. Scataboo and and,
- 46:34and see how this team is going to fall together in the
- 46:37offseason. Is Joe Shane the guy or do they
- 46:39part ways with him? Is Dabo the guy or do they part
- 46:42ways with him? As far as the Patriots are
- 46:45concerned, the fact that they shed it off veteran players,
- 46:49very interesting. I thought that the Patriots
- 46:53we're going to add more pieces. I thought that the Patriots have
- 46:59a chance to come out of the AFC this year.
- 47:02The emergence of Drake May, he's been playing well and they're
- 47:07getting more than I thought they were going to get from Diggs
- 47:11this year. I thought that this defense, it
- 47:14was one of the elite defenses in the league.
- 47:15Rabel has really brought that potential.
- 47:18What we've seen with the Titans when he was there and, and what
- 47:21I believe that this team is all about and what this organization
- 47:25was all about, what Belichick was, there was defense, defense,
- 47:28defense. And now I think they've they,
- 47:30they believe that they have a quarterback there.
- 47:33For a long, long time, the team that made the most moves besides
- 47:37The Jets making those big moves is the Eagles.
- 47:40The Eagles are the ones that made the slam dunk moves,
- 47:42bringing Phillips in, who is a bona fide #1, bona fide #1
- 47:47linebacker. You can move them all over the
- 47:50line. He is, he can pass rush.
- 47:51He can, he can run, stop. He could do so many different
- 47:54things. Dean has not been healthy all
- 47:56season long. Now you can kind of put him in
- 47:58that Dean position. If Dean does not stay healthy
- 48:02for the rest of the year. And he could be a quarterback of
- 48:05that defense. Absolutely could.
- 48:07And Carter maybe just needed to be moved to a team that was
- 48:10going to use him better in a scheme which they, you know,
- 48:14obviously they they run great schemes over there with one of
- 48:17the best defensive coordinators, one of the best defensive minds
- 48:20in the NFL. I, I think that the Eagles have
- 48:23put themselves very well in position to go and repeat for a
- 48:29Super Bowl the other teams as far as Myers, Jacoby Myers going
- 48:34to the Jaguars, I don't think that's a big deal.
- 48:37He is going to go to free agency.
- 48:38He's going to make himself some money.
- 48:40He is not going to be over there with the Jaguars.
- 48:42Trevor Lawrence losing the Gremlin is not a big deal.
- 48:46So fans buying his jersey, I don't think we're going to be
- 48:51talking about him very long like I've predicted.
- 48:54He's in a lot of commercials. He's done a lot of video game
- 48:58commercials as well. I've seen him on different
- 49:01skits. And I could care less what
- 49:03Travis Hunter is doing in the offseason.
- 49:05He's going to have to figure out what he is as an NFL player.
- 49:09The Bears, interesting move. I think the Bears are going to
- 49:14contend to make the playoffs. I think they they're going to
- 49:19figure out, they got to figure out, you know, obviously certain
- 49:23positions and how they fit to this defense.
- 49:25I think this defense is one of the better defenses in the
- 49:29league, top 12 defenses in the league, adding the pieces that
- 49:32they did. They're not big moves, they're
- 49:34not slam dunk moves, but they're moves that could fit the scheme
- 49:37and the way they like to run their scheme.
- 49:39So I don't think it's a bad move and it's you know, it's grabbing
- 49:43possibilities to succeed as far as the Cowboys are concerned.
- 49:48The Wilson move makes you makes you itch your head.
- 49:51I don't I don't get it. And and and again, the Quinn
- 49:55Williams move to give up what they gave up for Quinn Williams,
- 49:58that makes you scratch your head too.
- 50:00Is this going to make them a contender?
- 50:02Does this make that their defense an elite defense?
- 50:04No Does Quinn Williams make them a better defense?
- 50:07Yes. I don't know.
- 50:09I think the two teams that were successful at the trade deadline
- 50:13with the two teams I root for, The Jets and Eagles, Yeah,
- 50:16Cowboys are definitely a head scratcher for me because Logan
- 50:18Wilson was a linebacker that was good for a while with the
- 50:20Bengals. But sometimes with middle
- 50:22linebackers you see them really have a good three or four year
- 50:24peak in today's game, especially when they're speed oriented
- 50:26linebacker and really fell off. They were games with the Bengals
- 50:28defense where he was benched. If you're getting benched on the
- 50:30Bengals defense this year, you know some things on the downturn
- 50:34for that kind of thing. Logan Wilson was great for three
- 50:36years, but not the same case anymore.
- 50:37And Quentin Williams, well, obviously he's a nice player.
- 50:40They have already a big contract invested to a defensive tackle
- 50:42already in Odezua. Odezua got paid $20 million a
- 50:45year in the offseason. So you're getting 2 positions of
- 50:47the same type on all your money. We've seen how that's worked for
- 50:50the Bengals. We've seen how that's worked for
- 50:51Miami. Sneaky good too with I like the
- 50:54Bears. I think 1.
- 50:54You mentioned Tryon is a good second pass rusher.
- 50:56He was good in Tampa for a while alongside Shaq Barrett in that
- 50:59blitz. Happy defense.
- 51:01And I think it was just a bad fit in Cleveland with a Jim
- 51:04Schwartz have attacking 4 three defense.
- 51:06I think he goes back over there to the Bears where he plays
- 51:08alongside Montez squad. I think that's to be a good move
- 51:10in San Francisco with the Niners too.
- 51:11Keon White was a guy that I thought was a first round pick
- 51:13of the time. I know Jeff really liked him
- 51:15when the Patriots drafted him as well.
- 51:16He's a guy that's more of a power rusher to compliment Bryce
- 51:19Huff, who's more of a speed rusher and Michael Williams is a
- 51:22little more of a speed rusher too.
- 51:23They need to replace in production when Nick with Nick
- 51:26Bosa hurt if they want to keep that defensive flow because like
- 51:28you've been saying all year, Errol, their offense is just
- 51:29Christian McCaffrey and really that's it.
- 51:31So they're going to have to really win on their defense on
- 51:33that front. Ravens I don't love necessarily.
- 51:36They already had enough defensive tackle.
- 51:37They need more edge. And the Eagles, like you said,
- 51:39that's a really good move because they can put Dejean now
- 51:41at safety, which is their free safety spot.
- 51:43That's probably their biggest weakness in their defense.
- 51:44That gives them a lot more versatility.
- 51:46Well, also the the injured Dean, Dean has been a big part of that
- 51:49defense. If Dean can't stay healthy, they
- 51:52can shift that that linebacker core.
- 51:55And if Phillips could run that that defense, he could very we
- 51:59he ran the Dolphins defense. So you know, he could be a
- 52:01captain of a defense. So we'll see where I I know he's
- 52:06an edge rusher fish, but he was drafted as a linebacker and
- 52:09they're not going to use him as an edge rusher.
- 52:11They're going to use him as a linebacker.
- 52:13Yeah, Victoria Fangio is going to blitz him in different areas
- 52:16too. Like the reason why the Eagles
- 52:18were successful is they were able to rush the passer without
- 52:20blitzing, but they didn't have the depth this year to do it as
- 52:22much because obviously they lost sweat in the offseason.
- 52:25Brandon Graham retired, but now he's come back and they Bryce
- 52:28Huff didn't work out over there. So they needed a more upside
- 52:31guy. Phillips, before he got hurt in
- 52:332023 against The Jets, was probably the best edge rusher in
- 52:36that draft, and he was going to get a big contact from the
- 52:38Dolphins most likely the next year if they just paid shut.
- 52:40But it just didn't work out. He hasn't recovered since the
- 52:42Achilles. Then he got reinjured last year.
- 52:44But a team like the Eagles, he doesn't have to play as many
- 52:46reps as you saw their outside linebackers do a lot last year.
- 52:50Yeah, like obviously I've started watching the deadline a
- 52:54little bit more in football and I always wondered like when it
- 52:56gets to the obviously the deadline and and how different
- 53:00sports are different on how they, you know, add and subtract
- 53:05to their their rosters, lineups. However you want to say it is
- 53:08football more like a a long term like perfect place for them to
- 53:13fit instead of like a Band-Aid to fix something or them are
- 53:17band. Aids I think.
- 53:18A lot of these defensive players that were traded are band aids
- 53:20now. Some of them are year three
- 53:21players like try on, try on just signed a new deal.
- 53:25I think he got a two year deal. Like I said, Keon White is a
- 53:28year three player that I thought I thought was a first round pick
- 53:30the Patriots drafted in the second round.
- 53:32He had a good rookie year and then he's had injury issues
- 53:34since then. That's what most of those moves
- 53:36are going to be like. Arrow saying Myers is probably a
- 53:37rental for the Jaguars, but I think is a good fit for a slot
- 53:41receiver type because Brian Thomas is more of a physical
- 53:43possession type receiver. And I also read that the reason
- 53:46why they made the move for Phillips is because of the Dean
- 53:49situation. They don't know if Dean is going
- 53:51to be healthy and Dean has been out and up and out and up.
- 53:55They need something that they if, if need be, they got to
- 53:59shift the line or shift the line backing core.
- 54:02They can put him on the outside. They could put him on the
- 54:05inside. I know what he is as a pass rush
- 54:07of fish, but they don't really need pass rush help.
- 54:10They have not had problems in that category.
- 54:13They need help when it comes to the back end and really the
- 54:16depth. They don't have the depth they
- 54:19had last year because they traded away.
- 54:21I got to disagree. That's not I'm looking.
- 54:23They got Zach Bond, who was defensive player of the year
- 54:25last year basically for linebacker, at least he was the
- 54:29best linebacker in the league. He was All Pro.
- 54:31He's the other middle linebacker in that defense.
- 54:33They don't, they don't need to move him to middle linebacker.
- 54:36They also got Jaylix Hunt, who can play linebacker too.
- 54:39But they're going to put Hunt on one side and they're going to
- 54:42put Phillips on the other. They just haven't gotten a
- 54:46consistent edge rush this year. Now the Dean's always hurt.
- 54:50That was the thing with him. That's why he fell in the draft.
- 54:52Everybody knew he was a first round talent coming out of
- 54:55Georgia, right? That stacked defense and he fell
- 54:58to the third round. Everyone's like why?
- 55:00And then it came out during the draft.
- 55:01He's a medical and then he's been a medical his whole career.
- 55:04When he's out there, he's great, right?
- 55:06But he's not out there and the best ability availability.
- 55:10I wanted to highlight before we finish this segment, there's a
- 55:12guy that I got to bring this up and they're all, you know, I
- 55:14love bringing this up because we made a bet earlier in the season
- 55:18for the season about the Seahawks and Jackson Smith and
- 55:21Jig. Well, we didn't make a you
- 55:23didn't. You didn't want to make the bet
- 55:25or we didn't. We didn't finish the bet.
- 55:26Speedy. Did we finish the bet?
- 55:27We didn't. Decide on what the We didn't.
- 55:29Decide on what you said you were doing.
- 55:31It though. The best thing you can get a
- 55:34really good. Receipt.
- 55:35Don't worry, Jobber, you're not going to have to eat that
- 55:36popcorn because I'm not going to say anything yet, but it might
- 55:40come. Don't worry.
- 55:41Look, look, the best thing you can get a guy who's getting
- 55:44double covered every play is a guy who's like a burner on the
- 55:47other side of the field. And now Rashid Shaheed joins
- 55:51that Seahawks offense that's already like taking the top off
- 55:55of the NFL. Darnold has like an MVP
- 55:59candidate out of nowhere this year.
- 56:01He's on his like, third team in three years.
- 56:04And he's just so resilient. It's really like the story.
- 56:07The last, I don't think it's not enough is being made of.
- 56:10We talked about Baker Mayfield, but Darnold same thing, you
- 56:14know, and they cross paths and both look at both of them now
- 56:16and they're both MVP type candidates.
- 56:19And now you get him another guy to to like make a strength
- 56:22stronger. You know, you see a lot of
- 56:24coaches believe in this. Like when the Giants were going
- 56:27good, Ernie, of course he wanted to keep adding pass rushers.
- 56:31You got to let's get another one.
- 56:33Who cares if we have Michael Strahan on one side and OC and
- 56:37let let's get Justin Tuck. Let's get 3 and let's see if
- 56:40they can deal with it and we keep them fresh and rotate them
- 56:43and inside and NASCAR packages. It was awesome.
- 56:47And that was 20 years ago. It's no different now and I
- 56:50think that's what you're seeing. And now you have an offense that
- 56:53could do everything out there. They got 2 running backs
- 56:56everyone's afraid of with Walker and Charbonnet.
- 56:59They've got receiver at every position.
- 57:02They're good, man. They wanted to move A.J.
- 57:06Brown. I know there was a story coming
- 57:08out that they were shopping him. I don't think they were shopping
- 57:11him, even though Devante Smith has shown you that he could be
- 57:14another one guy. And I think they believe he's
- 57:17their number one guy. And Jalen Hurts would rather
- 57:20throw to Devante Smith than A.J. Brown.
- 57:23I mean, what book is A.J. Brown reading on the sidelines
- 57:26this year? That is going to be a story I'm
- 57:28interested to see. I mean, I don't know if he could
- 57:31do it double due see this year as he did last year.
- 57:35But I I like what the Eagles did.
- 57:37I think the Eagles are positioned to be a contender
- 57:40again. I already thought they were
- 57:42contender Saquon Barkley, I think was fighting injury early
- 57:46this season. I think he's starting to get
- 57:48healthy. You can see his game getting a
- 57:50little bit better. And I think there's just a
- 57:52little bit more trust in a little bit more belief in the
- 57:55organization and what the organization is doing because
- 57:58they have the best, I believe GM in all of sports.
- 58:03He has proven it. And I know what he is doing is
- 58:08been incredible over the last couple of years and, and how he
- 58:12is rocking and sucking for those Eagle fans.
- 58:15And no Eagle fan should be crying and throwing bricks or
- 58:19throwing rocks at any fans or any players because they have a
- 58:23chance to win back-to-back championships.
- 58:26And the last team to do it, the Kansas City.
- 58:28Was it the Kansas City? Yeah, two years ago.
- 58:30Yeah, it was the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 58:31So almost a three peat, you know.
- 58:34And who broke that? The Eagles, ladies and
- 58:38gentlemen, My Eagles fly. Eagles fly.
- 58:41You want to sing that, Speedy? No, I don't want you to sing it.
- 58:43I know you're a Giant. I know you're a giant fan.
- 58:46Lose it, Lose it. Zipper it tonight.
- 58:49I'm losing it tonight. And no popcorn tonight, Jabba.
- 58:52Well, there might be popcorn later.
- 58:54Popcorn later. There might be craziness, but
- 58:58yeah, it's been a crazy one. Yeah, my deuce of the day.
- 59:02The deuce of the day you log not a log.
- 59:06I don't have a log but. You know, oh, there's a lot of
- 59:15crying for all the fans. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, a lot
- 59:19of crying because there will not be a November 14th fight in
- 59:25Miami. Ladies and gentlemen, it was
- 59:29canceled. Javante Tank Davis is subjected
- 59:35to a civil lawsuit related to criminal investigations with no
- 59:40fight because of that as there was stories coming out from the
- 59:45Davis camp, an ex-girlfriend accusing Davis of assault and
- 59:50battery, aggravated battery, which is even worse, and false
- 59:54imprisonment, kidnapping and and much, much more.
- 59:58And everybody was and including yours truly.
- 1:00:01There was a build up for this fight.
- 1:00:03I wanted to see Tank, you know, Tank Davis knock this guy out
- 1:00:07and finally end the Jake Paul situation.
- 1:00:10But again, Jake, Paul ducks and weaves.
- 1:00:14Again, ladies and gentlemen, it is perfect for the Paul camp to
- 1:00:19see this. Absolutely horrible fitting
- 1:00:23fight. Completely be washed away as
- 1:00:27Moses parted to see Jake Paul parts a knockout.
- 1:00:33So what is that spell for our deuce of the day?
- 1:00:38It spells an absolute debacle for a fight.
- 1:00:43So my Deuce of the Day goes to Devante Tank Davis.
- 1:00:47And what are you doing? I don't know why you put your
- 1:00:49hands on a woman. And then Jake Paul being saved
- 1:00:53by the bell. Yes, I love it.
- 1:00:57The My Deuce of the Day. It's beautiful.
- 1:00:59And no, it wasn't about Travis Hunter or the Gremlin, as we
- 1:01:03call him. He's done for the season.
- 1:01:05I win the bet. Where are you?
- 1:01:07Quitting couples When? I need you now.
- 1:01:11In just a few moments after our break, after our sports minute,
- 1:01:15we will be talking to former 14 year NBA referee and the author
- 1:01:22of the book Personal Foul. He's been on the lookout for all
- 1:01:28these betting scandals that have been going on with the NBA and
- 1:01:32now he will be joining Jabba in the mouth.
- 1:01:35The one, the only Tim Donaghy will be joining us when we come
- 1:01:41back here on Job in the Mouth this.
- 1:01:46Is the Jabba and the Mouth sportsman ads?
- 1:01:51What is up guys? Iron fisherman here with your
- 1:01:54sportsman. They got a couple of stories
- 1:01:55before we get into the scores this evening.
- 1:01:58UFC CEO Dana White told ESPN that he had met with the FBI
- 1:02:03after suspicious betting patterns were discovered in the
- 1:02:05UFC fight this past Saturday night.
- 1:02:08According to White, the UFC was alerted to strange betting
- 1:02:10patterns on the Isaac Dulgarian versus the Yadier Devali fight
- 1:02:14at UFC Fight Night. The Dulgarian was submitted in
- 1:02:17the first round by Diwali after being a two a -. 250 favorite
- 1:02:22for the fight. The gambling watchdog company
- 1:02:25Integrity Compliance 360 IC 360 alerted authorities and the UFC
- 1:02:30after multiple large bets were flagged at multiple sports books
- 1:02:34on this card. The Caesar's Sports Book
- 1:02:36refunded bets on Dulgarian after the suspicious outcome.
- 1:02:40IC 360 reached out to it and told us that there was some
- 1:02:42unusual action going on with that fight and asked did we know
- 1:02:45anything? I told TMZ we didn't.
- 1:02:48We called the fighter and his lawyer and said what's going on?
- 1:02:50Are you injured? Do you owe anybody money?
- 1:02:53Has anybody approached you? The kid said absolutely not, I'm
- 1:02:56going to kill this guy. The fight plays out first round
- 1:02:58finish. Literally the first thing we did
- 1:03:01was call the FBII met the FBI twice Tuesday.
- 1:03:05The UFC then released Dulgarian from the promotion in the
- 1:03:09fallouts of what looks pretty clearly to be a rigged fight.
- 1:03:14And LA Clippers owner and former Microsoft Co founder Steve
- 1:03:18Ballmer is now being sued by 11 former Aspiration investors.
- 1:03:23According to investigative sports journalist Pablo Torre,
- 1:03:25who first broke the bombshell story before the NBA season of
- 1:03:29the Clippers and Kawhi Leonard using a fraudulent and now
- 1:03:32defunct company as a front to cheat the NBA salary cap.
- 1:03:36The new lawsuit alleges that Ballmer aided an abetted
- 1:03:39Aspiration Co founder Joe Sandberg.
- 1:03:41Sandberg is scheduled to be sentenced to up to 40 years in
- 1:03:44jail for wire fraud in late February of 26.
- 1:03:48The 11 plaintiffs say that Ballmer and his scheme to cheat
- 1:03:51the salary cap allowed Sandberg to continue with his
- 1:03:54self-serving fraud and without Ballmer support could never have
- 1:03:57defrauded the 11 investors and perpetrated the large scale
- 1:04:01fraud that they were all victimized by, according to the
- 1:04:04plaintiffs complaints. Plaintiffs allege that Ballmer
- 1:04:06transferred other funds to Aspiration to keep the company
- 1:04:08afloat and buy Sandberg support, cooperation and silence about
- 1:04:12the secret deal with Leonard. The full extent of Ballmer's
- 1:04:15transfers of funds to Aspiration in Sandberg will be ascertained
- 1:04:19in discovery. This means the dirt on Ballmer's
- 1:04:22dealings will be exposed in the court case, which I'm sure Adam
- 1:04:26Silver and the NBA and maybe more officials will be paying
- 1:04:30extra special attention to. Guys, we are streaming live on

- 1:07:06I can give them a slogan. Speaking of slogans, I don't
- 1:07:09think this guy needs any slogan. This is a guy I've wanted to get
- 1:07:14on this show for years. I reached out to Speedy and I
- 1:07:16said reach out to this guy, let's get him on the show.
- 1:07:19I think he has a lot to give and some of the information that's
- 1:07:22going on in sports betting. He is a former 14 year NBA
- 1:07:28referee and the author and book of Personal value.
- 1:07:32He is the guy that created the book of Personal Foul, the one
- 1:07:37the only Tim Donaghy. Tim, what is up my friend?
- 1:07:42Hey, not much. How you guys doing?
- 1:07:43Thanks for having me. Well, we're happy to have you,
- 1:07:45man. And there's a lot of stuff going
- 1:07:47on in the NBA and now we're hearing in the UFC, so it seems
- 1:07:52like it's flustering in many different ways in many different
- 1:07:56sports. I'm flustered.
- 1:07:58I I wrote a story about Dana White.
- 1:08:00So maybe it's just me. Maybe I just caused a lot of
- 1:08:03trouble for the the UFC. Maybe not.
- 1:08:05I'm I'm trying to give myself some kind of pat on the back.
- 1:08:08But you've been on, you know, you've been on different shows
- 1:08:12around the country and you've been talking about sports
- 1:08:15betting and sports betting is really controlled, I think
- 1:08:19professional sports for more than 50 years.
- 1:08:22It's been around forever. And you, you've been behind it
- 1:08:26for a very, very long time. You've you've done time because
- 1:08:29of it. First of all, I want to get into
- 1:08:32your career and on how you got into refereeing.
- 1:08:36I know your father was a referee in college sports and and the
- 1:08:40and the NBA. Tell us a little bit about what
- 1:08:44made you become a referee and the, you know, the back end of
- 1:08:48your career before you became a referee.
- 1:08:51My dad was a top college basketball referee.
- 1:08:53My uncle Billy Oakes was an NBA ref.
- 1:08:55And I came from Howard Town, Pennsylvania, where there were,
- 1:08:59you know, four or five other NBA referees, Callahan Crawford,
- 1:09:04Javi Wunderlich. And, you know, with situation
- 1:09:07where, you know, we all kind of just grew up in that area and
- 1:09:11had the ability to, you know, listen and learn from each
- 1:09:15other. And with that, I just decided to
- 1:09:17pursue, you know, in their footsteps.
- 1:09:21And I was fortunate enough to get in a training program and
- 1:09:23eventually, at age 26, get hired by the NBA.
- 1:09:26Now, David Stern is a guy that was very well respected for NBA
- 1:09:32fans. I I respected David Stern.
- 1:09:34He he really chant transition the NBA to what it is today and
- 1:09:39gave it to Adam Silver. And now I believe it's the LJA.
- 1:09:42It's not the NBA. It's called the LeBron James
- 1:09:45Association because it seems like everything is run by run
- 1:09:49through LeBron James, as we all know as we watched Luka Doncic
- 1:09:52get traded out of nowhere last year at the trade deadline when
- 1:09:55everybody was shocked and surprised.
- 1:09:57Tell us a little bit about your connections with David Stern.
- 1:10:00Obviously David Stern was, you know, the the commissioner of
- 1:10:05the NBA when you were a referee in the NBA, what type of
- 1:10:09commissioner was he in the NBA? You know, really I didn't have
- 1:10:12any interaction with him, but I can just tell you, you know,
- 1:10:15with the situation that I was involved with and the FBI agents
- 1:10:19getting involved, they said that he was his worse than any other
- 1:10:23mob boss I ever investigated. They just said he was ruthless,
- 1:10:26and he was just, you know, conniving.
- 1:10:29And he was manipulative. And, you know, they just said
- 1:10:32that he was, you know, worse than any mob boss they ever
- 1:10:35investigated. And he was somebody that, you
- 1:10:38know, did a lot of things behind the scenes to, you know, benefit
- 1:10:42himself in the NBA. July 20th, 2007 The New York
- 1:10:46Post columnist Mr. Wise first reported the investigation into
- 1:10:50your situation and from the bets from NBA games from 2005 and
- 1:10:572007. Tell us a little bit about that
- 1:11:01situation. Well, when I started the gamble,
- 1:11:03and I just started the gamble on college events and then
- 1:11:06eventually pro events and then, you know, start to bet on a lot
- 1:11:11of events that were taking place with a buddy of mine named Jack
- 1:11:14and Cannon. And then from there, you know,
- 1:11:16when I had information on NBA games, I told him about that.
- 1:11:20And then eventually, even NBA games that I officiated, when,
- 1:11:24you know, inside information became talked about in the
- 1:11:27meetings, I would take that information.
- 1:11:29And if I felt the line was four or five points off, I would tell
- 1:11:33certain people to bet the games. And, you know, they were doing
- 1:11:36well betting the games and passing the information along to
- 1:11:40people associated with organized crime.
- 1:11:42And, you know, they started to use it.
- 1:11:45And then when I wanted to stop doing it, they, you know, had
- 1:11:48somebody come and pick me up and tell me that we weren't going to
- 1:11:50stop, that I was going to continue to give them the picks
- 1:11:53that I had been given, you know, to a buddy of mine.
- 1:11:55Everybody talks about the, the integrity of the game and, and
- 1:11:59what the game really brings to the world and, and all the
- 1:12:03international people and, and players that have come over the
- 1:12:06last couple of years. Now, Tim, you look at the game
- 1:12:10and you look to transition of the game.
- 1:12:11Obviously the Chauncey Bill Billup story is the big one.
- 1:12:15When you look at Chauncey Billups, he's very well
- 1:12:18respected around the league. He's a coach and you hear these
- 1:12:21stories about the the scandal that he was in with the glasses
- 1:12:25and and working with the Gambino family or the four families that
- 1:12:30were involved in all these different stories.
- 1:12:33When you heard Chauncey Phillips name get brought up into that
- 1:12:36story, what what were your thoughts to it?
- 1:12:38You know, just kind of shocked that, you know, an active NBA
- 1:12:42coach was involved in poker games and Lauren people there,
- 1:12:46you know, for the purpose of basically robbing them.
- 1:12:48So kind of shocking that he was involved in that and some of the
- 1:12:51other things of, you know, basically giving information
- 1:12:55about what was going to go on in a game he was involved with, if
- 1:12:59they were going to tank or not. And if certain star players
- 1:13:02weren't playing, you know, he was passing that information
- 1:13:05along too. So, you know, it was kind of
- 1:13:07shocking that it got to the point where, you know, he was
- 1:13:10doing stuff like that. I've gone back and forth with
- 1:13:13the Terra Rozier thing because the NBA were investigating and
- 1:13:17then let him play. Porter was pretty much thrown to
- 1:13:20the wolves. I believe the NBA did that to
- 1:13:23you because I think there were other people involved in your
- 1:13:26scandal and they really pushed it on you.
- 1:13:29I believe the NBA protected themselves and didn't protect
- 1:13:33you. And I heard different stories
- 1:13:36behind it. When you think of the NBA after
- 1:13:39what the NBA did to you and and you see what the NBA is dealing
- 1:13:42with right now, what do you think of the NBA after the fact
- 1:13:46that they point, they pointed the finger at you and nobody
- 1:13:49else? Right.
- 1:13:50I mean, I have a text message from an FBI agent that said,
- 1:13:53hey, Tim, doesn't look like they're going to be able to
- 1:13:55cover this up like they did in your situation.
- 1:13:57So, you know, I think that, you know, definitely they covered a
- 1:14:02lot up. There was other people that I
- 1:14:03know the FBI wanted to indict. And it just seems like the
- 1:14:07prosecutor who later went to work at a law firm that got all
- 1:14:12the outside legal counsel work, you know, from the NBA since he
- 1:14:16went there, you know, seemed to be, you know, running the
- 1:14:20investigation with David Stern. So, you know, it's just, you
- 1:14:23know, a lot of strange things definitely go on in regard to
- 1:14:26the NBA and how they conduct business.
- 1:14:28We are talking to former 14 year NBA referee, author of the book
- 1:14:33Personal, Tim Donaghy. Everybody knows him and, and,
- 1:14:37and to me, I don't know. I haven't checked out your book.
- 1:14:40I'm definitely going to buy it. It came out in 2009.
- 1:14:43Tell us a little bit about the book and did you actually write
- 1:14:47it when you were in jail? I did.
- 1:14:48I wrote it when I was in jail, would mail each chapter back to
- 1:14:53my mom, who would type it up nice and neat and then mail it
- 1:14:56back to me. And then we just put the whole
- 1:14:58thing together and thankfully got it published when the NBA
- 1:15:01went into, you know, the office of Random House, who was going
- 1:15:06to print the book and basically threaten them and went in the
- 1:15:09offices of 60 minutes and and asked them not to air the
- 1:15:12episode right before we published the book.
- 1:15:14So, you know, it's just a lot of the underhanded things that,
- 1:15:18like you said, David Stern was involved with and, and and doing
- 1:15:22to me. Well, we all know what happened
- 1:15:24with the New York Knicks and there were stories coming out
- 1:15:27that the reason why they, the Knicks won the lottery with
- 1:15:31Patrick Ewing is because the card was cold and he pulled it
- 1:15:35out and the Knicks won. Patrick Ewing and the Knicks
- 1:15:37have never gotten the number one pick since then.
- 1:15:40They've been really, really bad. So I could believe that there's
- 1:15:43something behind the NBA and David Stern over the years, and
- 1:15:47I believe Adam Silver lets the players run the league.
- 1:15:50It's been a big problem over the last couple of years, as I call
- 1:15:53it, not the NBA. And anybody listen to this show?
- 1:15:56I call it the LJA, the LeBron James Association, because it
- 1:15:59seems like everything goes through LeBron James with all of
- 1:16:02the different things that have happened in the league,
- 1:16:05including picking the United States basketball team as he
- 1:16:10didn't want certain players to be on the team and they were not
- 1:16:13picked to be on the team. I don't know if it's a winky
- 1:16:16dink, but it seems like it is. But that's a whole nother story.
- 1:16:21You you talk about the Mafia and the five, the four families that
- 1:16:26were caught behind this scandal with the Billups, the Jones and
- 1:16:30the Rozier story. You were tied up with the
- 1:16:33Gambino family. Tell us a little bit about the
- 1:16:35Gambino family and how you were tied up with them.
- 1:16:38You know, there was just a buddy of mine I went to high school
- 1:16:41with and he knew this guy that also went to our high school.
- 1:16:44And, you know, when I wasn't giving the pics anymore to a
- 1:16:48buddy of mine, I didn't know behind my back he was getting
- 1:16:52them. And this guy was associated with
- 1:16:54organized crime and wanted to continue to get those picks.
- 1:16:56So he just, you know, set a meeting up with Tommy Martino.
- 1:17:01And when I was in Philadelphia to referee the Sixers and the
- 1:17:04Celtics and basically showed up at my hotel and said he had
- 1:17:08known what I had been doing for years and he wanted to continue
- 1:17:12to get those picks. And if I didn't give him the
- 1:17:14picks, you know, he'd have somebody, you know, expose me to
- 1:17:18the NBA for the Game 1 I had done in the past because I
- 1:17:21wasn't supposed to place a bet of any kind or worse yet, have
- 1:17:24somebody visit my wife and kids in Florida.
- 1:17:27College basketball is, we had Brendan Snyder on on Monday and
- 1:17:31he was talking about how important college basketball is
- 1:17:34when it comes to signing autographs and getting these
- 1:17:36players. Now with the NIL deals and and
- 1:17:39the way these players can make money now off their own
- 1:17:41autographs, he says that's where everything's transitioning in.
- 1:17:44Do you believe that sports betting is going to transition
- 1:17:48even more into college sports and why?
- 1:17:50I don't think it is. I think it's going to come to a
- 1:17:52a little bit of a hope because I think it just exploded so quick.
- 1:17:55And the benefits of the league's bottom line because of being
- 1:18:00involved with these gambling sites now, I think moved way too
- 1:18:04fast. And I think at the college
- 1:18:05level, they want to try to keep it away from these student
- 1:18:08athletes as much as possible. So, you know, I think it's
- 1:18:11they're going to have to find some type of way to slow this
- 1:18:14down a little bit, get these prop bets under control so that,
- 1:18:17you know, more players don't, you know, end up doing what
- 1:18:21these guys did. And I think you're going to find
- 1:18:23out that more players whose names aren't even been released
- 1:18:27yet are involved in this. So I think there's more to it
- 1:18:30and I think it's just not out yet.
- 1:18:32Tim Baseball. Go ahead.
- 1:18:34Go ahead, Jabba. Go ahead, Jabba.
- 1:18:35Yeah, No, there's been, I think 4 guys this year in baseball
- 1:18:39too. And Ariel brings up college
- 1:18:41basketball. Do you think that in other
- 1:18:44sports have we seen in baseball now, do you think it is, is
- 1:18:47going to become as prevalent in, in, in the other sports as kind
- 1:18:51of we're seeing, you know, what they're like making an example
- 1:18:54out of the NBA now that we're going to see a little bit more
- 1:18:57come to the forefront in the other sports as well?
- 1:19:00You know, I think it happens in all sports.
- 1:19:02I think right now it's the NBA who was exposed and and under
- 1:19:07the fire. I think with this, you may find
- 1:19:09out that there's other people in other sports involved and it's
- 1:19:12just the the tip of the iceberg right now.
- 1:19:14So I think there's a lot more to come with this, to be honest
- 1:19:18with you. We are talking to former 14 year
- 1:19:20NBA referee, author of the book Personal Foul, Tim Donaghy.
- 1:19:25He has been all over over the last couple of weeks speaking
- 1:19:29about this sports betting and now you're hearing something
- 1:19:32that the UFC has to investigate and Dana White baseball has
- 1:19:37dealt with this over the last couple of years, the Shay Otani
- 1:19:42story. I'm sure you heard about the
- 1:19:43Shay Otani story and the FBI. The FBI was involved with it.
- 1:19:47They investigated it for two weeks and there were so many
- 1:19:49offshore accounts. There was so much money involved
- 1:19:52in this. As a matter of fact, some people
- 1:19:54say at first they were saying between 15 and 18,000,000.
- 1:19:58Now they're saying between 25 and 30 million.
- 1:20:01And there's five different accountants or four different
- 1:20:04accountants Share Otani goes to when it comes to his money.
- 1:20:07And it's really surprising that Share Otani didn't know that
- 1:20:12there was $25 million missing out of his account.
- 1:20:15Now I know he's a very rich man. I know he's an international
- 1:20:18superstar, but it's it's it's pretty interesting when you hear
- 1:20:21a story like this and you look at Pete Rose and Tim, you know
- 1:20:25Pete Rose. I'm sure you're a Pete Rose fan
- 1:20:28who never has been inducted into Hall of Fame because he bet on
- 1:20:31baseball, bet for his team against other teams when he was
- 1:20:35a manager and was never really allowed to be brought back in
- 1:20:38baseball. When you look at that situation
- 1:20:41that baseball had to deal with with Jay Otani, do you think
- 1:20:43they did the right thing? Do you think they investigated
- 1:20:46it deeper or they should have? I think they should have
- 1:20:49investigated it deeper, but do you think they investigated deep
- 1:20:52enough when it came to Sheila Tani?
- 1:20:54No, because I don't think there's any way that, you know,
- 1:20:57he didn't realize $30 million was missing out of his bank
- 1:21:00account. I think the Major League
- 1:21:03Baseball know for a fact that he was involved in it.
- 1:21:06And they don't want to kill, kill the golden goose who's
- 1:21:09bringing them global attention, you know, at this point.
- 1:21:12So I think that they covered this whole thing up.
- 1:21:14I don't think if there's any doubt that, you know, he was
- 1:21:17involved in placing these bets on on these games.
- 1:21:19A. Guy that you know well and Scott
- 1:21:21Foster, another referee that I allegedly was caught in in this,
- 1:21:25but then they said he wasn't. He was not charged with
- 1:21:27anything. There was a lot of these false
- 1:21:28reports, but I know you're close with him.
- 1:21:31Do you know anything about any other referees that might be
- 1:21:33connected in the modern game now?
- 1:21:34And what do you think the NBA should do to approach it now?
- 1:21:37You know, no, I can't tell if anybody else is, you know,
- 1:21:40involved in, in gambling at this point.
- 1:21:42I really couldn't hear him. But yeah, Foster was a friend of
- 1:21:47mine, and as far as him being involved in this, he definitely
- 1:21:52wasn't involved in any shape, way, shape or form with myself.
- 1:21:55They obviously probably approach you when does like the FBI and
- 1:21:58it go like to the next step of just not just the NBA, but
- 1:22:01getting authorities involved after that.
- 1:22:04I'm not sure what you mean, but they, you know, the FBI got
- 1:22:07involved and do an investigation of a game being a wiretap.
- 1:22:10And I guess that's how they heard of, you know, our entire
- 1:22:14situation. And from there, once I had known
- 1:22:17that an investigation started, I kind of went to them and had an
- 1:22:21attorney call them. Tim, you look at the FBI and the
- 1:22:23FBI has they investigated your case and they dug deep into your
- 1:22:28case and now you're looking at Chauncey Bill, UPS, Rozier and
- 1:22:32Jones. And they were kind of grading
- 1:22:34where these guys were. I mean, honestly, they're saying
- 1:22:37Jones is going to get the smack if down late on him because they
- 1:22:41think he was involved with all three situations.
- 1:22:45Rozier betting on games and actually shaving off points.
- 1:22:49That was really bad. And they said Chauncey Billups,
- 1:22:51he might see jail time, he might not.
- 1:22:54It depends on how they can investigate it and pin it on him
- 1:22:58because there are things that maybe might not be able to be
- 1:23:01pinned on him. When you look at all three of
- 1:23:03these guys and like you said, there are other guys that are
- 1:23:06are involved with it. You've heard that Kevin Garnett
- 1:23:09was at these games that was robbed.
- 1:23:11You have heard of other NBA players that have been shown.
- 1:23:14I've shown up to these betting games in these these games.
- 1:23:18Do you think that the NBA is going to pull out even bigger
- 1:23:23names involved in this case I? Think they're going to do
- 1:23:25whatever they can to minimize the damage and minimize the
- 1:23:28names that come out from this but unlike the situation with
- 1:23:32myself, they're not controlling this investigation.
- 1:23:35I think the FBI is saying that, you know, we're going to get
- 1:23:38this right this time and we're going to do it by, you know,
- 1:23:41processing, prosecuting these guys to the fullest extent of
- 1:23:44the law. So I think, again, this is just
- 1:23:47something that's getting started and there's a lot more to it.
- 1:23:49You have Le Bron, James, you have Yanis.
- 1:23:52And I'm not saying they're involved with it.
- 1:23:53I'm not pinning them on this story.
- 1:23:56But if these names were involved in this case, could you see the
- 1:24:00NBA pushing this under the rug and trying to push the FBI
- 1:24:05outside of this circle that they're in right now?
- 1:24:08If it was a big superstar like Shay Otani with baseball.
- 1:24:11I think that they would do everything they can to, to cover
- 1:24:14it up and, and, and do that. But I like I said, I don't think
- 1:24:17that's going to happen this time.
- 1:24:18I thought back in the day, David Stern was involved in running my
- 1:24:22whole investigation. You know, the, the United States
- 1:24:26Attorney that was working the case at the time left there and
- 1:24:29went to a law firm and started getting all outside legal
- 1:24:32counsel work from the NBA. So, you know, I don't think that
- 1:24:36they're going to be able to get the guys that they need to to be
- 1:24:39their puppets and do what they did back in the day with me.
- 1:24:42I think these guys, you know, want to get this right.
- 1:24:45And I think the FBI is not going to be embarrassed and they're
- 1:24:47going to make it right. With these prop bets and
- 1:24:49obviously with how prevalent like, you know, the gambling
- 1:24:52websites as far as advertising like on, you know, the networks
- 1:24:56that are showing baseball, basketball, football, like
- 1:24:58DraftKings, whatever, like use LeBron, he's one of the
- 1:25:01spokesperson for DraftKings. Do you think they're to get it
- 1:25:04right? Do you think they have to
- 1:25:05eliminate, you know, things like prophets or certain things that
- 1:25:08are easier to kind of dictate through, you know, them being
- 1:25:12involved in in representing the the DraftKings or whatever then
- 1:25:17also playing as well? Yeah, I mean, definitely you can
- 1:25:20get rid of the prop bets or one way you can do it is just have
- 1:25:23it you can only take the over. You can't take the under of the
- 1:25:26Prof bets because, you know, make the players go out and play
- 1:25:29hard and try to, you know, hit the over mark.
- 1:25:32So this way there's no worry about somebody tanking for the
- 1:25:35under. You can only bet the over and
- 1:25:38and set that at an amount. So there's, there's no tanking
- 1:25:40when it comes to it. But, you know, I think there's
- 1:25:43somehow some way they have to try and put the genie back in
- 1:25:46the bottle and get this under control so that, you know, this
- 1:25:50thing doesn't ever happen again. Well, it it's going to be very,
- 1:25:53very hard when it's international now it's national.
- 1:25:57There's how many states involved with it and, and everybody,
- 1:26:00everybody's involved with it, Tim, you know this everybody is
- 1:26:03and, and, and again, I think prophets should be taken out of
- 1:26:07the game, especially the NBA, because these players seem to
- 1:26:10think that they can get away with it now.
- 1:26:13I think that when you look at Porter and what Porter got, he
- 1:26:16got a life ban. And I think the same thing when
- 1:26:19it comes to steroids. I think there should be
- 1:26:21something as as bad as it is, they should grade it.
- 1:26:24If it's graded to that potential where it's going to be a life
- 1:26:28ban, then you can you can give them a life ban.
- 1:26:30But there has to be a grade like steroids that if you do it once,
- 1:26:34you're suspended for a year. If you're do it the second time,
- 1:26:37you're out for this or there's got to be something.
- 1:26:39When you look at sports betting and you look at the league in
- 1:26:42the NBA, do they figure out some kind of rule or regulation that
- 1:26:47could obviously they they could put into effect for the future
- 1:26:50for the NB? AI have no idea, you know, what
- 1:26:53the best, you know, scenario would be.
- 1:26:55But when it comes to gamble and I think that they have to take
- 1:26:58a, you know, a hard stance because it really, you know,
- 1:27:02hits at the integrity of the game.
- 1:27:03And if you don't have the integrity of the game intact,
- 1:27:06was already in question with the NBA, you know, it's tough to
- 1:27:09keep in the stands. And without the fans in the
- 1:27:13stands, you know the the game suffers.
- 1:27:14It's just a situation where you know you got to just get it
- 1:27:17going and hope things change. We're talking to Tim Donaghy, he
- 1:27:2014 year NBA referee, author of the book Personal foul.
- 1:27:24Go check it out. Go to any bookstore.
- 1:27:26I'm sure they're they're in Amazon.
- 1:27:28You can find the book. I'm going to go buy the book,
- 1:27:30Tim, and then I want to talk one-on-one with you and go over
- 1:27:33each chapter about your book because I think it would be
- 1:27:37absolutely great to talk about fully your book in the inside
- 1:27:40and out of what happened in your career as a as a basketball
- 1:27:44referee. You look at, you know, the
- 1:27:47situation the NBA is in now and, and now the league as a whole
- 1:27:52and, and now you have Adam Silver.
- 1:27:54It's not David Stern. So it's a completely different
- 1:27:57commissioner. And I think he's been more
- 1:27:59lenient in in certain ways. I think he's let the players
- 1:28:03really run the league. And a lot of people have
- 1:28:05complained about the NBA, about the different stuff that has
- 1:28:08gone on the under the table stuff, the Kawhi Leonard thing
- 1:28:12that came out. You just heard it from Fish in
- 1:28:14our Sports Minute. Do you think that something
- 1:28:17needs to be done with the commissioner?
- 1:28:19Maybe Adam Silver is way over his head.
- 1:28:21You know it's a possibility because he definitely has taken
- 1:28:25a much softer stance. And David Stern, you know, ever
- 1:28:29took. So maybe somebody in the middle
- 1:28:31would be a happy medium. But yeah, it seems like, you
- 1:28:34know, Silver's got a lot of problems that he needs to get
- 1:28:36rectified in a hurry. I, I'm, to me, I'm not a betting
- 1:28:40man. I don't.
- 1:28:42I do a sports radio show. A lot of people come to me and
- 1:28:45they ask me what props bet my, my sister won $800 recently
- 1:28:49because I gave her a props bet and a parlay and she called me
- 1:28:52up. Oh my God, I put $20.00.
- 1:28:54I won $800. I could do this.
- 1:28:56I could do that. So I, I don't bet on sports
- 1:28:59because it just, it's not my thing.
- 1:29:02All right, But I love sports and I look at things and I calculate
- 1:29:05statistics and generate certain numbers, but it's not always
- 1:29:10right. When you look at your Vegas in
- 1:29:12Vegas is I think 65% right or 68.
- 1:29:16I don't know what the number is. Now when you look at Vegas and,
- 1:29:19and, and the numbers and, and how it generates, it generates
- 1:29:22as a whole. Do you think that one way or
- 1:29:25another, Vegas needs to be controlled in some kind of way
- 1:29:28by these? You know, by the FB I or the
- 1:29:30leagues out there. Here there has to be some type
- 1:29:33of independent monitoring system that you can really spit out the
- 1:29:37the red flags with your regular betting.
- 1:29:40But there's a lot of situations where you can bet overseas or or
- 1:29:43different avenues, not just in the United States.
- 1:29:46So if you want to get the money down, they'll still be able to
- 1:29:49get the money down. All right, let's talk about what
- 1:29:51you're doing now. Now I heard you're doing real
- 1:29:53estates and you've been very successful.
- 1:29:57Tell us a little bit about what you've been doing since all that
- 1:30:00stuff happened to you. Yeah, I got involved, you know,
- 1:30:03in real estate at the right time back in 2009 and 10, where
- 1:30:06nobody really wanted the properties, was able to get them
- 1:30:09cheap at an auction, fix them up, rent them out.
- 1:30:12Now I have several properties that, you know, I'm basically
- 1:30:16just monitoring them and the landlord of.
- 1:30:18You, you got to give me some tips, man.
- 1:30:20I mean, I'm doing a little side work as well.
- 1:30:23I, I got somebody helping me out, teaching me the ropes.
- 1:30:26And it's, it can get confusing because percentages and what
- 1:30:31you're putting into it, you want to make sure that you're getting
- 1:30:34something out of it. And it kind of throws you off
- 1:30:36because I'm lackluster when it comes to statistics and numbers
- 1:30:40when it comes to money. I've made a lot of mistakes in
- 1:30:43my time, my friend, and I'm a little lost.
- 1:30:45So maybe we could talk off air. Maybe you could give me some of
- 1:30:49your tips? I'm definitely interested now.
- 1:30:51You got a family, you got daughters.
- 1:30:54Tell us a little bit about your family life since the situation
- 1:30:58and and how they handled everything.
- 1:31:00Thankfully they handled it great, was fortunate enough that
- 1:31:02after I got out I rebuilt my life, like I said, through real
- 1:31:05estate. All my daughters are happy and
- 1:31:07healthy. One of them, the youngest 1,
- 1:31:09still lives with me. So you know, just been lucky
- 1:31:11that they were resilient. We were able to get past
- 1:31:14everything. I want to get into Goodfellas.
- 1:31:16Everybody was talking about the murders that they did and all
- 1:31:19the other stuff, the drug dealing, but the real reason why
- 1:31:23they got caught was sports betting And it was that Boston
- 1:31:27College, you know, the two players from Boston College and
- 1:31:30I, I investigated and I was like, well, and then he was on
- 1:31:34the Howard Stern show and he was talking about he's like, it was
- 1:31:37nothing with the drugs. It was nothing with this.
- 1:31:40They wanted to catch the sports betting and, and what we were
- 1:31:42doing, shaving off points. When you when you hear something
- 1:31:46like that and and that was before you, was that something
- 1:31:49that really sunk in when you kind of seen stories or heard of
- 1:31:54stories of that magnitude? Yeah, I mean, I always heard of
- 1:31:56the famous Boston College scandal, so as depicted as they
- 1:32:01said in Goodfellas. So yeah, no, it's definitely
- 1:32:05that situation like this are going to come up time to time
- 1:32:08and you just have to hope that they're, you know, minimal and
- 1:32:11damage that they do the sports league.
- 1:32:13So, you know, I think this one, like I said earlier, is
- 1:32:16something that's going to be much bigger than what it is
- 1:32:18right now. It's just, it's just getting
- 1:32:20started. All right, so may he rest in
- 1:32:23peace. If if David Stern was alive
- 1:32:26today, OK, he was alive today and we could set up a celebrity
- 1:32:30boxing match. Would you get in the ring with
- 1:32:33David Stern? I would.
- 1:32:34I would love it. Trust me, I would love it.
- 1:32:38I'll tell you what, maybe we can hook you up with Adam Silver.
- 1:32:41I, I see that he has these big ears.
- 1:32:43He could flop outside of the ring.
- 1:32:44I mean, he might be able to fly. I mean, he could do the matrix
- 1:32:47against you. I don't know.
- 1:32:49I, it's, it's an interesting story because I, I think, I
- 1:32:54really think that they shafted you.
- 1:32:56I, I, I mean reading the different stories that I've read
- 1:32:59and behind the scenes, I didn't read your book yet and I'm going
- 1:33:02to read your book now and I would love to get you on the
- 1:33:05show to talk about your book and go inside and out of the
- 1:33:08chapters and, and the trials and tribulations.
- 1:33:11What was it like going to jail? Federal Penitentiary.
- 1:33:14Definitely not fun, you know, not fun at all.
- 1:33:15A lot of long, boring, lonely nights.
- 1:33:19But, you know, I was fortunate enough that I got through it.
- 1:33:21Yeah, it's I've never been to jail.
- 1:33:25I, I've seen a lot of different things over the years, but I've
- 1:33:29never really experienced it. So I couldn't imagine it going
- 1:33:32to a federal penitentiary and, and dealing with that as long as
- 1:33:35you did. And that's still a long time, 15
- 1:33:37months is a long time and to, to really kind of go and, and think
- 1:33:41about the things that you did and, and I, and you wrote a
- 1:33:44book. So I kind of take it took away
- 1:33:47some of the time that you were there because you could really
- 1:33:49figure out how you want to attack this and how you want to
- 1:33:52present your story behind the paper.
- 1:33:55And, you know, it's interesting. And is your mom still here with
- 1:34:00us? Yes, she is.
- 1:34:02And how is your mom doing? She's doing good, you know, my
- 1:34:06dad and her are still, you know, doing well in Seattle City, New
- 1:34:09Jersey. And, you know, I go back there,
- 1:34:12you know, once in the summer just to, you know, say hi and
- 1:34:16spend some some time there. How did your father handle this?
- 1:34:19Because your father very well respected around the college
- 1:34:22ranks as a referee and it really helped you start your career.
- 1:34:26How did he handle this, this scandal and how it was pinned on
- 1:34:29you the way it was? Did he handle it the way a
- 1:34:33father would, or did he kind of take a step back and didn't say
- 1:34:36anything? You know, kind of handled it
- 1:34:38like a father would. Definitely supportive, you know,
- 1:34:41thankfully, you know, even though that it was embarrassing
- 1:34:44with, you know, what I had done and and how I had done it.
- 1:34:47So, you know, I was fortunate enough that, you know my parents
- 1:34:51stood by me and helped me out. Great deal.
- 1:34:53Yeah, well, before we let you go.
- 1:34:54All right, So let's pretend that you are the judge with Terry
- 1:35:00Rozier, Chauncey Billups and Mr. Jones.
- 1:35:05OK? You're standing there and and
- 1:35:08you're you're making a decision on how you're going to handle
- 1:35:11it. I don't know if there's going to
- 1:35:12be a jury involved with it, but if it was just you making a
- 1:35:14decision, what would you give Chauncey Billups first?
- 1:35:19If if all these allegations are. Are true, Are true.
- 1:35:22What would you give him? I would say he's probably going
- 1:35:25to do, you know, two to four years.
- 1:35:28So that's you being nice, right? Is that, is that what it is?
- 1:35:30Right. Yeah.
- 1:35:30OK. I'm just, I'm just starting
- 1:35:33nipping on the butt here. I this, I know nobody's asked
- 1:35:35you this question, but that's what makes our show interesting.
- 1:35:38I I want to pretend that you are the law and you're making the
- 1:35:41decisions. All right.
- 1:35:43Terry Rozier. I think, you know, that's fixing
- 1:35:46a game, fixing a bet. I think he's probably going to
- 1:35:48do the most time. I, I would think, I think the
- 1:35:51Boston College scandal guys did five to seven.
- 1:35:54I'd say, you know, probably 5:00 to 7:00.
- 1:35:57Now, a lot of rides leaders have been all over on this.
- 1:36:01They're saying Jones was involved with every single one
- 1:36:04of these scandals. What would you give Jones if you
- 1:36:08were the judge of this situation?
- 1:36:11I always liked him, he was always good to me.
- 1:36:13He was a good guy, so maybe I'll just give him a little
- 1:36:15probation. Tim, This is why I like you,
- 1:36:22man. I you kept a straight face until
- 1:36:24that smirk came out. I you kept it straight the whole
- 1:36:28time. You I, I was trying to get
- 1:36:30something out of you and you were like the same old stuff and
- 1:36:35then bam, I got you. And then David Stern.
- 1:36:38I would love to see you box. What do you what do you knock
- 1:36:40him out in the first to second round?
- 1:36:42I I think. 30 seconds. Right hook, right.
- 1:36:48Lefty. That's right, you're a lefty.
- 1:36:50So left hook, you know, you throw a couple of jabs, set them
- 1:36:53up and knock them out. Out like a light.
- 1:36:57But maybe we'll make a book together.
- 1:36:59Together. We'll call it Jabba in the mouth
- 1:37:01Out Like a Light by Tim Donaghy. Tim, we love you man.
- 1:37:09And listen, I know you've been all over the place and I know
- 1:37:12you've been jumping from different shows.
- 1:37:14The fact that you came on our show says a lot about who you
- 1:37:18are. And we are one of the up and
- 1:37:21coming big shows in the states of the world.
- 1:37:25And we're ranked in the two hundreds and Spotify and Apple
- 1:37:28and we're just growing all over the place.
- 1:37:30And we just love the fact that you came on and gave us your
- 1:37:34takes and and didn't hold back on anything that you said.
- 1:37:36And that makes you who you are. And I think that's why I think
- 1:37:40that the NBA should have given you a little bit more lenience
- 1:37:46on some of the stuff that they claimed you did, especially when
- 1:37:49you wanted to take a, you wanted to get out of it and you were
- 1:37:53thrown to the wolves by the FBI and the NBI.
- 1:37:56Think it was wrong for David Stern, even though I think he
- 1:37:59was the only guy that helped the NBA grow in the time that they
- 1:38:03needed to grow, but also did things that I think was pushed
- 1:38:06under the rug and shoved down the rug in the wrong way.
- 1:38:08So I appreciate you, man. Thank you for joining us.
- 1:38:11I appreciate you having me. I look forward to if you read
- 1:38:14the book, we'll talk about it again.
- 1:38:15Let's do it. I'm serious.
- 1:38:16I want to, I want to talk to you.
- 1:38:18Tim Tonigy, So he's been fantastic.
- 1:38:22It was a great interview and, and let me tell you something,
- 1:38:25he would knock out David Stern. I, I like it.
- 1:38:29I like it. You see that guys, I got out of
- 1:38:31him that and, and I, I kind of put him in a position where he
- 1:38:35was the judge and, and the jury and, and he made his decision.
- 1:38:38I'm very surprised. He, he said that he's a good
- 1:38:41friend of Jones. So I I guess that made a lot of
- 1:38:43sense. He would just give him
- 1:38:45probation. Yeah, he was quick to correct
- 1:38:49you on that 15. Years.
- 1:38:50I like to listen. I was I I made a mistake.
- 1:38:54I cleaned it up all right. It's not.
- 1:38:56All he only served. He only served 11 with good time
- 1:38:59though. Yeah, and you want to know
- 1:39:01something? He's such a straight, straight
- 1:39:02shooter. You.
- 1:39:03He kept a straight face the whole interview, the whole
- 1:39:06interview, until I got out of him a smile.
- 1:39:09Did you guys see that? There's probably certain stuff
- 1:39:11he can't say anyways. No, I know and I I wanted to
- 1:39:14hold back. I was going to attack him and
- 1:39:16maybe other ways, but I, I think I, I attacked it the way I
- 1:39:20wanted to attack it and, and, and really add my humor to it at
- 1:39:24the end. So it was perfect.
- 1:39:26It was a perfect interview. I loved it.
- 1:39:28So I got to give myself a golf clap, a golf clap.
- 1:39:30Thank you. Golf clap.
- 1:39:31Golf clap. It was good.
- 1:39:33You're not giving me a Golf Club.
- 1:39:34Give me the finger. Thank you.
- 1:39:36Fingers. There it is.
- 1:39:38I'm eating a rat now, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:39:40Yeah. Let's go.
- 1:39:41Save your tears. Mom, what's one thing that you
- 1:39:45can't talk to me about? My sexual fantasies.
- 1:39:50Say yourself. It is not ideal, but if it's
- 1:39:52what means it is not ideal, but if it is not ideal, but if it is
- 1:39:55what means, you can't trouble. Double stamp you can't.
- 1:39:59Dribble stamp double stamp Lord, you can't dribble stamp double.
- 1:40:01Stamp. But but.
- 1:40:03You. Guys, now it's time for save
- 1:40:07your tear. Oh.
- 1:40:10Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, we are back and Speedy seems to win
- 1:40:14every single week. It's been back-to-back weeks.
- 1:40:18I am going to take it over this week.
- 1:40:22I'm concentrating. I'm winning.
- 1:40:26Maybe you will, maybe you won't. I will.
- 1:40:28You are a great FedEx Cup standings player, Speedy.
- 1:40:32One of these days we need these standings.
- 1:40:34But you are the defending champ, Speedy.
- 1:40:35You'll tell us who's going to go in what order.
- 1:40:37Tonight on Savior Tears, everybody's favorite tier based
- 1:40:42fantasy contest. You get $15.
- 1:40:45We're using Yahoo fantasy PPR scoring the winner gets long
- 1:40:51winded. 51% genuine compliments from all the losers.
- 1:40:55That one over like a farting church.
- 1:40:58Episode. Are you boys ready to save your
- 1:41:02team? All right, I picked three games.
- 1:41:07I mean I wrote it down somewhere.
- 1:41:09Let's see where it is. The three games for this one are
- 1:41:11the Giants and the Bears, the Jaguars and the Texans and the
- 1:41:15Seahawks and the Cardinals. So here we go.
- 1:41:19Let's take a look at the board and I'm going to read it off for
- 1:41:22everybody just listening but again, if you're just listening,
- 1:41:25you can watch us in video on YouTube on all the streamings
- 1:41:29that you can stop subscribe to us on everything social media.
- 1:41:33Make sure that you also download us in video also available on
- 1:41:36Spotify. I always gave up and apple.
- 1:41:39All right, $5 player. Got to be Sam Darnold from the
- 1:41:43Seahawks, followed by Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence,
- 1:41:46Jackson Dart and Jacoby Brissett for a dollar.
- 1:41:50Now that I'm not sure about CJ Stroud for this week, and it
- 1:41:54looks like Kyler Murray is on the IR, so Berset gets in there
- 1:41:58at running back Travis at the end, Junior will be the $5
- 1:42:02player, followed by Kenneth Walker the third.
- 1:42:04We're going to go with Kyle and Manangai for $3.
- 1:42:07Can we bring out the guy in junior?
- 1:42:08Can we can we bring Sebastian in?
- 1:42:10I think, I think Sebastian should come and.
- 1:42:12Join. Well, why not?
- 1:42:13Well, you know, why not? Let's get him in.
- 1:42:18It's up to him. It's completely up to him.
- 1:42:20No pressure. Sebastian Day, Errol.
- 1:42:22I know. Literally his first.
- 1:42:23Day, if he wants to. It's up to him if he wants to
- 1:42:26play the game. I mean, he can win the game.
- 1:42:29It's not impossible. There is a way to win.
- 1:42:33Triple H once said it's all about the game and how you play
- 1:42:36it. So the two dollar player is
- 1:42:38Tyrone Tracy junior, followed by Chubb for a buck.
- 1:42:42Then we have a wide receiver, one the best receiver in the NFL
- 1:42:47this year, Jackson Smith in Jigba, followed by Brian Thomas
- 1:42:51junior, Marvin Harrison, junior, Juan Dale Robinson for $2.00 and
- 1:42:57Jacoby Myers for a dollar. Just the other receiver slot is
- 1:43:01going to go to Nico Collins, filed by, followed by Roma
- 1:43:04Dunsay, who was God awful last week with no points but he's
- 1:43:09still been great all year, followed by DJ Moore, his
- 1:43:11teammate Jaden Higgins and Giants misery.
- 1:43:16Darius Sladen for a dollar and a tight end.
- 1:43:18No surprise trade McBride, Colston, Loveland, the Bears
- 1:43:21hero from last week for $4.00. Theo Johnson, Dalton Schultz and
- 1:43:26it's strange for a buck at tight end.
- 1:43:30Can't wait. Speedy, who's going first?
- 1:43:32Well, I'm not going to make you go first this week, Fish.
- 1:43:34So that means we have to make him go first.
- 1:43:37Nick. OK.
- 1:43:41All right. So I'm going to go Jackson.
- 1:43:43Yeah, I'm going to go Jackson. Dart, I'm going to go Kenneth
- 1:43:47Walker, I'm going to go. So that's 6.
- 1:43:58I'm going to do. This is tough.
- 1:44:01You know, I'm, I'm going to do DSN, Jaden Higgins.
- 1:44:15All right, that. Means you have 6/11/13.
- 1:44:19So you got $2.00 left for Schultz?
- 1:44:21Yeah, Schultz. Or Brenton Strange.
- 1:44:23I know you like to save money. You're very thrifty in this
- 1:44:25game, Nathan. Nathan does love his former
- 1:44:27Cowboys, though. Yeah, I'm going to do Dalton
- 1:44:32Schultz. All right.
- 1:44:33And Schultz? So I have you down for Dark
- 1:44:36Walker, JSN, Higgins and Schultz.
- 1:44:40Speedy, who's next? Let's go, Jarrett all.
- 1:44:44Right. All right, let me click because
- 1:44:48I wasn't here on Monday giving my compliments to to speedy
- 1:44:50speed. I truly believe you're the
- 1:44:52unsung hero of the show. You do so much great work behind
- 1:44:56the scenes. You help me out tremendously
- 1:44:58every single week and every single day getting clips up for
- 1:45:01Instagram and Stutch, you're obviously now the betting
- 1:45:04favorite every week. I think now for save your tears.
- 1:45:07Oh. Man are we betting on.
- 1:45:11Savior Julie, thank you for all you do here so.
- 1:45:14Do we have to ask? All right, Jack.
- 1:45:15Parlay guys. We get really degenerate about
- 1:45:17it. Absolutely.
- 1:45:22I'm going to do Jackson Dart, Kyle Menong guy, because I don't
- 1:45:27really know who he was. That was going to be great.
- 1:45:30JSN Jayden Higgins and Theo Johnson.
- 1:45:35All right, so I got you for Manangai Dart, JSN Higgins and
- 1:45:42Theo Johnson. We get Sebastian back in here
- 1:45:47it. Looks like he's coming in but I
- 1:45:49don't see his camera yet so I'm not fully in all.
- 1:45:52Right, so there he is. All right, let's put him.
- 1:45:54Let's put him on if you're ready.
- 1:45:57All right, Sebastian, welcome. No, no pressure.
- 1:46:00First episode ever. Welcome our new intern.
- 1:46:04Sebastian, you got $15. All right.
- 1:46:08So I kind of missed the beginning of this because I was
- 1:46:11trying to get in and out. But do I?
- 1:46:14Is anybody eliminated? I can just pick.
- 1:46:16Any no, you pick whoever you want.
- 1:46:17You got $15.00 to spend though. You can't go over cap and you
- 1:46:21have to pick from the the column it's in for the receiver.
- 1:46:26Definitely, definitely. I'm going to take JSN with the
- 1:46:29$5. Yeah, that's, that's that's a
- 1:46:31must. And then for my wide receiver 2,
- 1:46:37I'm going to go with DJ Moore. So give me at 8:00.
- 1:46:43So give me 7 left to spend. I'm going to go with Jackson
- 1:46:49Dart at quarterback and then I'm going to go Chubb and Strange.
- 1:46:58I think think that should be 15. Strange.
- 1:47:02Chubb All right, so I got you for Dart, Chubb, JSN more and
- 1:47:08strange. Yes.
- 1:47:11All right, right. And I can't fit Sebastian in
- 1:47:13there, so we're going to go with C bass on.
- 1:47:16Or put Seb. Put Seb.
- 1:47:18Seb. Even better, yeah.
- 1:47:19Yes. You want an extra B or just 1B.
- 1:47:23Not just one B, just 1B. All right for MFIT.
- 1:47:25What school you go to? I actually graduated from FIU
- 1:47:30last year, at the end of the year last year.
- 1:47:33But yeah, yeah. So I graduated, I got my my four
- 1:47:36years. You still in Florida?
- 1:47:38Yeah, yeah, I'm still in Florida right now.
- 1:47:40I'm just covering FIU, like their sports.
- 1:47:42They have a basketball that just started recently.
- 1:47:44They came on Monday, they started a home opener.
- 1:47:46So I was there recording, getting some coverage and stuff
- 1:47:49like that. So that's what I've been up to
- 1:47:51since post graduation. I love Florida.
- 1:47:55It's maybe you're going to be a savior, tears champ right off
- 1:47:58the bat. We'll find out.
- 1:47:59Let's see, let's see. All right, Speedy, who's next?
- 1:48:02I'll go next, actually. I'll take Caleb Williams.
- 1:48:04I'll take Tracy. Give me Myers, give me DJ Moore
- 1:48:09and Trey McBride. Myers, Moore and McBride, So
- 1:48:16hard to keep up with you, Speedy.
- 1:48:18You're just like like grease, lightning, Caleb Tracy, Myers,
- 1:48:22Moore, McBride. All right, Speedy, I guess I'll
- 1:48:27just go next. I'm going to go with Sammy D
- 1:48:32right here. Mr. Darnold.
- 1:48:36No one else has done it. He's deserves it at running
- 1:48:40back. I don't know.
- 1:48:44Is Swift going to play? I don't know.
- 1:48:47But if they doesn't, I like Manangai a lot.
- 1:48:50I think that guy might be better than Swift already.
- 1:48:53I think it's only a matter of time.
- 1:48:54Maybe it's this week. What better time than now?
- 1:48:58I got to go cheap. I know the Giants don't really
- 1:49:01have anyone to throw to except for Wandale Robinson.
- 1:49:04So we're going with Wandale. So that's what, 10-9?
- 1:49:09That's 10. Oh, no, 10 you're.
- 1:49:11Right. Yeah, it's 10, so I got 5 left.
- 1:49:18Definitely not taking Darius Sladen.
- 1:49:21I don't want to have to deal with him.
- 1:49:24He's so bad, So bad. DJ Moore has been pretty good in
- 1:49:31recent weeks. Think we're going to go that
- 1:49:34route. Let's go more in Schultz for my
- 1:49:38last five bucks, so I got Darnold, Manangai, Wandale
- 1:49:42Robinson, DJ Moore, and Dalton Schultz.
- 1:49:47Who do you want to go next job or Errol?
- 1:49:50Errol. All right, Errol, you're up.
- 1:49:56I'm going to go Williams. I'm going to go chop JSN.
- 1:50:05How much is that 10? That's 10.
- 1:50:08I'm going to go Moore and Schultz.
- 1:50:14All. Right, so I got Caleb Chubb, JSN
- 1:50:18Moore and Schultz for Errol. Last but not least, Chubba
- 1:50:23Chamberlain. I'm going to go Sunshine, I'm
- 1:50:26going to Trevor Lawrence, then I'm going to go.
- 1:50:30Sunshine. Love it.
- 1:50:32And then I'm gonna go Tracy JSN then I'm going to go let's go a
- 1:50:45Dunze and. Strange.
- 1:50:51All right, so I got Trevor, Tracy, JSN Rome and Strange
- 1:50:59share the window real quick. So you could see the whole board
- 1:51:03that we will uncover and reveal on next episode where we will
- 1:51:09have give out the winner will get their compliments in the
- 1:51:11compliment. I'm the only one to take Trevor
- 1:51:13Lawrence, yes. Only one that took Trevor.
- 1:51:16I was the only one took Darn Old.
- 1:51:17A lot of Jackson Dart out there, couple of Caleb's.
- 1:51:21We got a couple of Madame guys, a couple of Chubs and Tracy's
- 1:51:25out there. A lot of JSN takers.
- 1:51:27In fact, only me and Speedy didn't go with JSN.
- 1:51:30A lot of DJ Moore out there and Higgins.
- 1:51:33Everyone's into Schultz and people want some Strange here.
- 1:51:38No, I think speedy. I've got 2-2 that nobody else
- 1:51:41picked, Trevor and Rome. Yeah.
- 1:51:44Well. Did you get a chubby on that?
- 1:51:47No chubby, but every time I pick somebody that doesn't win, they
- 1:51:50score like almost negative points.
- 1:51:53But you know what happens, Shabba, when it doesn't go your
- 1:51:55way. In this game, you can't do
- 1:51:57nothing about it. You got to save your tears.
- 1:51:59Diarrhea down their leg and. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:52:03we have Fishes Play of the Week. This is great about sports you
- 1:52:07play to. Win the game.
- 1:52:09Hello, you play to win the game. Fishes play of the wig.
- 1:52:16And of course, I was late with the graphic on this one because
- 1:52:19I was talking smack. And here it is, guys, fishes,
- 1:52:22play of the week. And there's only one play that
- 1:52:26jumped to the mind that I saw over the week that, I mean, I
- 1:52:31was watching this whole game. We talked about it.
- 1:52:34The Bears. The Bears have done some things
- 1:52:38with Ben Johnson that they have not done in many, many years.
- 1:52:41And trick plays are among them. Let's take a look at this one
- 1:52:46right here. Welcome you.
- 1:52:47We don't need to listen to it, but this formation, let's just
- 1:52:50start off with this. This is an odd formation.
- 1:52:54The offensive line looks like they're in a goal line double
- 1:52:56tight end wing like you would see in Madden 93 trying to run
- 1:53:01it, except there's only Caleb in the backfield.
- 1:53:04He's got 2 flankers, 1's in tight like sort of in a slot,
- 1:53:09and the other one's in kind of I would say 5 yard less than 5
- 1:53:12yards away from that wing. This is an empty goal line
- 1:53:17formation. I don't think I've ever seen
- 1:53:19this. And what Caleb does is he
- 1:53:21basically runs quarterback 9 or right quarterback sweep, but
- 1:53:25it's a double reverse pass. Take a look at this beautiful
- 1:53:30play. He starts off running like he's
- 1:53:32running quarterback sweep. Everyone's frozen to the front
- 1:53:35side of the defense, Gives it to Roma Dunsay.
- 1:53:38He's acting. Oh, this is Caleb being an
- 1:53:40actor. He was at USC, took some
- 1:53:42classes. I'm not doing anything.
- 1:53:45The only guy who can cover him then runs away and now Caleb is
- 1:53:49wide open. You got to do the Chris Berman
- 1:53:52whoop, whoop. Whoop, whoop, whoop.
- 1:53:55Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:53:56Something stumbling, bumbling, tumbling, rumbling into the end
- 1:53:59zone. Beautiful play.
- 1:54:01Really cool formation. Very interesting quarterback
- 1:54:04action on double reverse pass. That's why this one is vicious
- 1:54:08Play of the week. Oh, panties dropper himself,
- 1:54:12Speedy Petey. Right you have penny dropper
- 1:54:15speed. Where did you get that from?
- 1:54:17This makes my pecker. Hard well make Jabba's pecker
- 1:54:19hard. I don't know about anybody else
- 1:54:20that was Tarek Scubal. No, that was Jabba.
- 1:54:23Jabba said it makes his pecker because of Tarek Scubal.
- 1:54:26No, but you just I just said you're you panty dropper and and
- 1:54:28Jabba just got hard off of it. I was doubtful, No, he just said
- 1:54:33he got hard off of it are. You, Sir.
- 1:54:36You just made my nipples. You just made his nipples hard
- 1:54:38again. I don't know what's what's going
- 1:54:39on with you tonight, man. I mean, you're a panty dropper.
- 1:54:43Now, listen, Speedy, we're we're in between certain people that
- 1:54:46you can pick, all right, Jessica Alber or Pamela Anderson.
- 1:54:51I'll take the chance on whoever Jessica Alber is.
- 1:54:55Jessica Alber. Who is that?
- 1:54:58Alber Alba is like Bill Bill Burr's cousin Alba.
- 1:55:03Yeah, second cousin. It's Alba.
- 1:55:05Jessica Alba it's. The fourth cousin once removed,
- 1:55:08obviously. You, you does.
- 1:55:10Does Jessica Albers, does she fly into Laguardier?
- 1:55:14You know. Gordier.
- 1:55:15Listen. It's Laguardier and that's how
- 1:55:18we speak it and and that's how we know it.
- 1:55:21I have to take a shit. As you take a shit and Speedy
- 1:55:24likes to play with himself and that's why he's a penny.
- 1:55:27Carl likes to play with himself. Well, that's true too.
- 1:55:29I got to find that take. I've lost that one.
- 1:55:31I I haven't used that one in a while.
- 1:55:33Hold on, hold on, hold on. Here it is.
- 1:55:35Carl plays with himself. That's true and.
- 1:55:38Droba is not an athlete. And here we droba there.
- 1:55:41We go. Here we go.
- 1:55:42Droba. Speaking not an athlete nothing
- 1:55:47dude can we get can we please like do something with your
- 1:55:51wall? Like I'm tired of seeing just
- 1:55:52bare ass walls. Well, you.
- 1:55:56Know serial killer style 100% he's hiding.
- 1:55:59People in a deep freeze. Now listen, I'm surprised Niffin
- 1:56:02is hot, ladies. He's a single man and he.
- 1:56:05Doesn't, and that has. That's not an excuse.
- 1:56:08He's a single man and he likes Gray walls.
- 1:56:11That's that's where he goes. You know, he gets Gray and he
- 1:56:15wants to sit in front of one of them.
- 1:56:16You know who else like Gray walls, Dexter?
- 1:56:21Lots of. And you know who liked Yellow
- 1:56:23walls? Jeffrey Dahmer.
- 1:56:29Yeah, exactly. That's where we're going.
- 1:56:31With this, well, I know where you're going and that's why
- 1:56:33suck. My indo can.
- 1:56:34Suck his Indo, that's what you should do anyways.
- 1:56:38Speedy's a panty dropper and somebody's getting hard.
- 1:56:42I mean, somebody got a chubby tonight after that, save your
- 1:56:45tears. And I think his name is Jabba
- 1:56:47Chamberlain. Maybe that's why he lost all his
- 1:56:49hair. I don't know.
- 1:56:50Ladies and gentlemen, I'm a little lost tonight and we
- 1:56:53don't. We definitely know this guy.
- 1:56:54Is fish is not a panty. Dropper A panty dropper, as we
- 1:56:57all know. Anyways.
- 1:56:59Yeah, Speedy's 6 pack of the week.
- 1:57:03Let's have a sixer. Hey, who wants to play Drink the
- 1:57:06Beer? It's time for the Speedy 6 pack
- 1:57:09of The Way Doo. Doo shut.
- 1:57:11My indo poops gets no coots. All right, so you got to talk
- 1:57:21into the mic. You got to use the mic you got
- 1:57:25to speak into the mic like talk into the mic like put the mic in
- 1:57:30your mouth. You know what I'm saying there
- 1:57:33We. Go easy.
- 1:57:34There we go. All right, so you're not talking
- 1:57:37into the mic. Bring the mic to your mouth.
- 1:57:39Johnny Reno is Bring it up. Bring it up.
- 1:57:42Bring the mic. Bring the mic up, bring it up,
- 1:57:44pull it up there. You go.
- 1:57:45We can't even. Speedy Speedy's got like Forest
- 1:57:48Green on in his shirt and he's disappearing into the back.
- 1:57:52It figures that's what happens when your nickname is Speeder.
- 1:57:57All right, so we got. Speedy, go shirtless.
- 1:58:00Oh God, nobody will want. Do you?
- 1:58:02Do you really want? Him a jersey.
- 1:58:04Without. Get him a jersey to put on.
- 1:58:06I don't. Want him?
- 1:58:07I bet Speedy's that Speedy's got great chest hair.
- 1:58:09No, I don't. You got like an old refrigerator
- 1:58:12parry jersey for him or something, That'd be great.
- 1:58:16No, I don't have that. And Speedy smells like
- 1:58:19mothballs, like his grandmother's house.
- 1:58:22So no, not going to do that. You want my cream pie?
- 1:58:25No. I don't want your cream pie.
- 1:58:27All right, are we ready? All right, let's go to the
- 1:58:29battle of the two purple teams. To start, the Ravens are at the
- 1:58:32Vikings. The over under is or the Ravens
- 1:58:35are up a 4 1/2 point spread, so W should be coming in a bit.
- 1:58:38So we'll go with me first and then we'll go with Johnny, we'll
- 1:58:41go with Fish, we'll go to the Coin of Java, and then we'll go
- 1:58:44with Errol after that. So I'm actually going to take
- 1:58:46the Vikings. In this I need a blow pop I.
- 1:58:48Like this matchup, even if they don't win the game to cover the
- 1:58:50spread, Ravens secondary's been a tough time.
- 1:58:53Minnesota's got a good passing game, so I'm going to go with
- 1:58:55the Vikings to cover the spread. Who do you have winning?
- 1:58:58I think the Ravens win the game. I think the Vikings cover the.
- 1:59:00Spread. I'm going to go Vikings and this
- 1:59:02plus the points. I just not sold on how good the
- 1:59:06Ravens are this year. Still kind of question marks
- 1:59:09with Lamar Jackson. They had a good game.
- 1:59:11Whoopi do I kind of think of the Vikings are the better team all
- 1:59:15around better form, I'll take them.
- 1:59:16Plus the points at home, good defense, probably that spread.
- 1:59:23I'm taking Vikings, no doubt. I think this Vikings team might
- 1:59:26be for real. I think they're really well
- 1:59:28coached and I think JJ McCarthy's back and I think
- 1:59:31they're a very different team than the Carson Wentz LED
- 1:59:34version of them. Give me the Vikings.
- 1:59:38Is it my turn? No, we got the coin.
- 1:59:42The Java Digi coin. Heads all right, Java's on the
- 1:59:46Vikings. Too Can you customize the coin
- 1:59:49So like you're on the coin? I I, I think so I can probably
- 1:59:53try it. I I need to just I cashed in all
- 1:59:56my change, so I ain't got no real.
- 1:59:58Quote UPS and. And first of all, before I make
- 2:00:01my pick, Nathan, you you post up pictures of people on.
- 2:00:06On our, you know, our feed and and this blonde chick and you
- 2:00:09say this looks really good. Who the hell is that?
- 2:00:12I mean, where are we at here? I mean, seriously.
- 2:00:14It's a good friend of his. Yeah, I'm sure in many different
- 2:00:17ways, if you know what I mean. Anyways, I'm going Baltimore.
- 2:00:22I think the game will be closed, so I guess I'm picking the
- 2:00:25Vikings to cover. All right, we'll go to the Tom
- 2:00:28Brady Bowl, the New England Patriots at the Tampa Bay
- 2:00:30Buccaneers. Bucks are 2 1/2 point favorites
- 2:00:32at home. I'm going to take Tampa in the
- 2:00:34spot. Like Errol's mentioned, the
- 2:00:35Patriots have really strived off a weak schedule.
- 2:00:37I think they're due to lose at some point.
- 2:00:38Tampa gets healthy. Give me that.
- 2:00:39By the way, I want to say something to Mikey C, who's
- 2:00:41posting up crap thinking that they they want something.
- 2:00:45Mike who? Who is the Patriots beaten?
- 2:00:49Tell me who they've beaten before you come out and post
- 2:00:52things saying, oh, the Drake May effect.
- 2:00:55There is no effect. It's stupidity when Drake may
- 2:00:58actually beats good teams. You can come and see me.
- 2:01:01Until then, zip of the lip, buddy.
- 2:01:04You're 50%. What did he say?
- 2:01:05He's 90% always right. He's 90% not wearing underwear.
- 2:01:09Let's go. Here we go.
- 2:01:11Me the Buccaneers here question on how healthy they are.
- 2:01:14Bucky Irving stood in practice today.
- 2:01:16He's on my fantasy team, by the way, but I'm questioning how
- 2:01:19healthy they are. But I do think the Patriots have
- 2:01:22benefited from a week's schedule.
- 2:01:23Give me the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win this game by at least a
- 2:01:26field goal. I really do like this offense.
- 2:01:28I really like Baker Mayfield. I'll take the Buccaneers.
- 2:01:31Is Bucky Irvy playing in this game?
- 2:01:34He has not been at practice this week.
- 2:01:36They said that they're going tomorrow.
- 2:01:39They said either Thursday or Friday they're going to get him
- 2:01:41on the practice field to see if he could be up for the
- 2:01:45challenge. If not this week, it'll be next
- 2:01:48week. But as of right now, they're
- 2:01:49going to wait until either Thursday, tomorrow or Friday to
- 2:01:52get him on the field to see if he can run.
- 2:01:54So kind of answering it for me boys, that team has one big flaw
- 2:01:58and it's they don't have their running back because their
- 2:02:00backups, Rashad White is not a start in running back in this
- 2:02:03league. They cannot run the ball right
- 2:02:06now and their receivers are mostly hurt.
- 2:02:08So I I just don't see them really moving the ball against
- 2:02:11the patriots. I'm going with the patriots, but
- 2:02:13if they have their guys, I I think they're a better team.
- 2:02:15But right now, give me the Patriots.
- 2:02:20And bam, we got tails all. Right Java on the Patriots as
- 2:02:27well. I'm going with the Buckeys.
- 2:02:32I think the Buccaneers will win this game.
- 2:02:33I think Baker will put his team on his shoulder and I think the
- 2:02:36Buccaneers defense, people forget this is one of the best
- 2:02:39defenses in the NFLI. Like the Bucks.
- 2:02:42Give me the Bucks. Buckies are winning.
- 2:02:45All right. One game that was used in savior
- 2:02:47tears the Cardinals at the Seahawks.
- 2:02:49The Seahawks are 6 1/2 point favorites.
- 2:02:51I know Johnny and you. Both you and also Wes have
- 2:02:54mentioned in the past that's a lot for a division game.
- 2:02:56I'm going to take Arizona to cover the spread.
- 2:02:57I think Seattle wins the game, but the Cardinals defense
- 2:02:59especially gets the pass, has been very good with this young
- 2:03:02secondary, so I think they'll keep it close.
- 2:03:04Seattle wins, but Arizona covers.
- 2:03:06I'm actually going to take the reverse of that.
- 2:03:08I think the the Cardinals look really, really good against the
- 2:03:12Cowboys. I will say that they were
- 2:03:14getting chunk 8 to 12 yards of play guaranteed.
- 2:03:17This is not the Cowboys. And then they're going to
- 2:03:20struggle offensively. Jacoby Brissett is Jacoby
- 2:03:22Brissett. He's a reliable back and
- 2:03:24quarterback. He will get you some wins.
- 2:03:26He manages the game. I don't think he has enough.
- 2:03:28They Marvin Harrison finally had a good game.
- 2:03:30I think they're kind of limited to trade McBride and Jacoby
- 2:03:33Brissett. If you kind of shut them down, I
- 2:03:35don't think they're going to the ball that well against the
- 2:03:37Seahawks. Give me the Seahawks.
- 2:03:39I rarely lay this many points, but less than a touchdown, I'll
- 2:03:43take Seattle. Yeah, I'm all in on Seattle
- 2:03:46right now. I think it's a blowout.
- 2:03:48Give me Seattle. Oh I like it and the coin says
- 2:03:57boom shaka like tail. I got the Seahawks winning.
- 2:04:02I think the Cardinals will be in the game, but I have the
- 2:04:04Seahawks. I will go to the other NFC West
- 2:04:06matchup with the Rams and the 49ers.
- 2:04:10The the Rams are 2 1/2 point favorites or Rams are 4 1/2
- 2:04:14point favorites. My bad on on the road.
- 2:04:17I'm going to take them in this spot.
- 2:04:18The Niners have been lucky with injuries so far, but I don't
- 2:04:21know if it lasts to get the defense that good.
- 2:04:23So give me the Rams even though they're 4 1/2 point favorites.
- 2:04:25I'm. I'm going to take the home team
- 2:04:27in this game. Divisional matchup at home.
- 2:04:30You have an understand that really hasn't been healthy this
- 2:04:32year. They haven't looked great.
- 2:04:33They they really can't stay healthy outside of CMC.
- 2:04:35We've been really good a bright spot for them in this offense.
- 2:04:39I just like the points plus 4 1/2 at home.
- 2:04:42Divisional matchup, 325 game in the afternoon.
- 2:04:46I just think that they're going to think the five game of the
- 2:04:48week. I just think they got a lot of
- 2:04:50things on their side. They didn't play.
- 2:04:51There's still six and three. So good.
- 2:04:53This is a decent football team that really hasn't been at 100%
- 2:04:55held. So give me the Niners to keep
- 2:04:57this game close. They might win, but I'll take
- 2:05:00points in my back pocket. I'm going right now with this
- 2:05:04Rams team, this Rams team looking banging on all
- 2:05:08cylinders. That 49ers team is piercing it
- 2:05:11together. It's going to be close because
- 2:05:13Shanahan's going to keep it close.
- 2:05:15These guys know each other real well, but I think the Rams will
- 2:05:18pull away late. The Rams, the.
- 2:05:21Rams and we've got get home, get ahead.
- 2:05:26Job on the Niners. The Rammys are going to win this
- 2:05:31game. I can't stand the Niners and I
- 2:05:33can't stand their coach. Yes, Owen, if you're listening
- 2:05:38to the show, I've got the Rams and they get a kick that you
- 2:05:42know what, out of the 30 Niners? Eat it, Owen.
- 2:05:46Where's that dress and where's that wig?
- 2:05:48Where's the lipstick? I want to see that baby.
- 2:05:51All right, Speaking of somebody that wants to see lipstick, the
- 2:05:54Aaron Rodgers and his imaginary girlfriend traveled to LA to
- 2:05:57take. It's his hand or his hand
- 2:06:01usually like to call it. All right, they're taking on the
- 2:06:03Chargers in LA on Sunday Night Football.
- 2:06:05I'm going to take the Steelers in this one here.
- 2:06:07I think it's a good spot for them.
- 2:06:08Their defense looked a lot better last week with that pass
- 2:06:11rush. The Chargers losing Joe Alls.
- 2:06:13I think it's a tough matchup. The Chargers can't roll the ball
- 2:06:15either. I like the Steelers in the TO.
- 2:06:17Win the game. This game is one of those ugly
- 2:06:19games in prime time. I'm going to be on it some way
- 2:06:24for this pick em I'll take the Steelers plus the points.
- 2:06:28I you know the chargers offense is really predicated on their
- 2:06:31line that they don't have a line.
- 2:06:33They have struggled. They just lost one of their best
- 2:06:35lineman this week. So I do think they're going to
- 2:06:37struggle, but they did pick up somebody in this place for at
- 2:06:41least going forward. Give me the Steelers to cover,
- 2:06:45maybe win the game, but I think this is another game either way.
- 2:06:49I, I just don't think it's going to be a good football game.
- 2:06:54I think it's going to be just an ugly game.
- 2:06:57It's unfortunately a game that we're all going to be subjected
- 2:07:00to. I, I, I assume it's going to be
- 2:07:03like a field goal game. So what was the spread on this
- 2:07:07one? Chargers 2/3 and 1/2.
- 2:07:09I have 3 1/2. You want my creampie?
- 2:07:12To Chargers 3 and. 1/2 Some of my half Yeah, let's.
- 2:07:16See. Chargers are favored fight three
- 2:07:18and a. Half favored.
- 2:07:20All right. Well then give me.
- 2:07:21Steelers Points. Cuz I'd say is 5050 they win and
- 2:07:25I don't think they win. If they lose, they lose by more
- 2:07:27than. 3 Breaking news I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 2:07:33No leash for my coin and my coin is getting headed home.
- 2:07:36A lot of hot ladies daba. On the Chargers, give me the
- 2:07:42Chargers on the points. All right, we'll finish it off
- 2:07:45with Monday Night Football, the Philadelphia Eagles at the Green
- 2:07:48Bay Packers. The Packers are 2 1/2 point
- 2:07:50favorites at home. I actually like him in this spot
- 2:07:53though because they're awfully bad loss to the Panthers and
- 2:07:55Fish. You even mentioned it during the
- 2:07:56whip around like Jordan Love has these really bad games, but can
- 2:07:59have some amazing ones mixed in there.
- 2:08:01The Eagles new pieces on defense at this.
- 2:08:03They'll need some time to sort it out.
- 2:08:04I think the bye week hurts them. So give me the Packers here.
- 2:08:10I'm going to take the, the Packers at home.
- 2:08:12I, I, I'm not really sold on this Eagles team.
- 2:08:15They're definitely not as good as they were last year.
- 2:08:18I do think that the Packers can win this game all right, but
- 2:08:22they can definitely do it by the spread.
- 2:08:24I like their offense in this spot.
- 2:08:25It is Monday Night Football. I think the Eagles have
- 2:08:28benefited from kind of some fortunate circumstances in a few
- 2:08:31of their games. I think that doesn't happen in
- 2:08:33Green Bay. So give me the Packers to cover
- 2:08:35the spread of -2 1/2. Yeah, Eagles reloaded at the
- 2:08:41deadline. They are run.
- 2:08:43By the. Post.
- 2:08:44General. Manager, I am a legend.
- 2:08:46In all the football, I think they're going to come out of the
- 2:08:49out of the by firing on all cylinders.
- 2:08:51Give me the Eagles. As long as she's using dude
- 2:08:54wipes and taking care of my 2 hole I'm good.
- 2:08:58Still getting headed home boys. Still getting headed home.
- 2:09:02Another tow job. I mean she can use her feet if
- 2:09:06she wants. I've got the Packers.
- 2:09:08The Packers win. Jordan Love has a big day if you
- 2:09:13have them on your fairness team. 40 points, baby.
- 2:09:16Give me Jordan. Every time I start he stardom,
- 2:09:19he's terrible. Every time I bench him he has
- 2:09:21like 35 points. Yeah, that's Jordan Love.
- 2:09:24All right, listen, Jordan Love's gonna have a big day.
- 2:09:26I'm going. Jordan Love, baby.
- 2:09:28Jordan Love. Let's give him some love as we
- 2:09:31all. That went over like a fart in
- 2:09:33church. As we all know, there we go.
- 2:09:36All right, ladies and gentlemen, we call this Let's Parlay.
- 2:09:46Parlay. It's time for Let's parlay.
- 2:09:50Now, Johnny, I am wearing a Danny Dimes jersey.
- 2:09:55This is Danny Dimes. I'll show you.
- 2:09:58I want all the fans to check it out.
- 2:09:59Hold on. I'm going to turn around for
- 2:10:01everybody to check out this beautiful fitted made jersey.
- 2:10:06For all you fans out there, hold on.
- 2:10:08It's just too bad you became a fan after you left New York.
- 2:10:12I'm guess you were never. First of all, first of all, just
- 2:10:15so you know, I was always a Danny Dons fan, always.
- 2:10:20And I'm one of very few people that thought Danny Dimes was the
- 2:10:24real deal. And he is.
- 2:10:26So eat it, Reno, go back to San Antonio.
- 2:10:29I mean you are at San. Antonio So that's it.
- 2:10:34By the way, what webbing? Yama's kicking ass, so you have
- 2:10:37something to watch. He yeah, you know, he had, he
- 2:10:40had a bad game against his sons, but he is looking up.
- 2:10:42Great. Don't.
- 2:10:44Worry he'll get hurt like I predict.
- 2:10:45For for me, it's, it's his, his body, his body type is just
- 2:10:49like, I don't know, sustainability.
- 2:10:51So I'm kind of worried about that.
- 2:10:53But NBA season's like so new right now we're focused on the
- 2:10:56NFL and college football that's winding down.
- 2:10:58Just seemed like yesterday where we are on Week 10, going to
- 2:11:02start there. Actually for one of my first
- 2:11:04place. It's one of the the forgotten
- 2:11:07games, but it is if you followed me, it is a must.
- 2:11:11It's actually if you're going to hang out with me, if Hawaii is
- 2:11:14playing the final game of the day in Hawaii and you don't have
- 2:11:19action on it, you can't hang out.
- 2:11:22So we will have action on that game.
- 2:11:23They're catching the touchdown and a hook versus San Diego
- 2:11:26State. You got 261 team six and three
- 2:11:28and seven one San Diego State like these are these are pretty
- 2:11:31good teams here coming out the Mountain West.
- 2:11:33You know, obviously in the mountain making much than a than
- 2:11:36a mid bowl, but a good this should be a good matchup.
- 2:11:39I don't like the seven and a half.
- 2:11:41I think 7 1/2 is way too many points for San Diego State.
- 2:11:43I think Hawaii can win this game now, right?
- 2:11:45Think they're always a tough place to play even when they are
- 2:11:48having a really bad year, but I'm kind of a fan of what
- 2:11:52they've done there in Hawaii with their new coach.
- 2:11:54He was there that was 30 year. I believe they got a guy that
- 2:11:58that's thrown for 2100 yards can run the ball decently well.
- 2:12:02I think it's going to be a good matchup.
- 2:12:04I think that this game can come down to the final possession.
- 2:12:07So I'll take the plus points in this matchup.
- 2:12:09That's one of my favorite games of the card, actually.
- 2:12:12And I love it because it's that last spot when everybody's
- 2:12:15asleep and I can kind of relax and finally watch the game by
- 2:12:17myself. So we're going to head to the
- 2:12:19NFL in this spot and we're going to take a team that I'm high on
- 2:12:23and I've been high on and I think is going to win the Super
- 2:12:25Bowl. And I've said it from week one,
- 2:12:27who care that I'm getting there, I'm getting there.
- 2:12:30Some of their games in the middle of the year have not done
- 2:12:32well. But I think the Bills are for
- 2:12:34real. I think Josh Allen's the best
- 2:12:36quarterback in the NFL. Aren't you a Bills fan?
- 2:12:39I'm a big Bills fan, but since 2024 I'm a new Ghost fan I admit
- 2:12:44that. But I just if you look at what
- 2:12:46Josh Holland is doing with the receivers he has, he is 2 tight
- 2:12:50ends that could be the same person.
- 2:12:52He got this guy named Khalil and another guy named Keon Coleman
- 2:12:55that those are his receivers. So he's doing a lot.
- 2:12:59The most with the less with the least.
- 2:13:02I do think they win this game. I do think they're going to blow
- 2:13:05out the Dolphins. I think the Dolphins are just in
- 2:13:07in a weird spot. If they fire their GM, people
- 2:13:12think they should have fired their coach, made it a freaking
- 2:13:17racial issue. I guess I don't know.
- 2:13:19This whole organization is is really they need to restart.
- 2:13:23The GM has been there for 20 years and they haven't done
- 2:13:25anything with it. They're at home.
- 2:13:27So I think it's a dangerous spot catching it and a half.
- 2:13:30I just don't see them being able to put up for instead Josh, I'll
- 2:13:33be able to put up in that spot. I'm going to lay it and this is
- 2:13:36always I don't like laying that many points, but I will do that
- 2:13:40in that spot. The other game.
- 2:13:43I the other game I like in the NFL is going to be and we kind
- 2:13:47of gave this out already, but it's one of my top players.
- 2:13:50I like the Seahawks. I just did not so much cobra set
- 2:13:53that you know they are going to go with him probably the rest of
- 2:13:55the year. We're we're missing four more
- 2:13:57games for Kyle and Murray by the time he's even healthy and ready
- 2:14:00to come back. They probably don't even play on
- 2:14:01the rest of the year. So they're going to give the car
- 2:14:03the keys to the car to Jacob reset.
- 2:14:05Not really sold on him for this offense.
- 2:14:07They don't really have a running game.
- 2:14:09It showed against Dallas, which is great.
- 2:14:11And you know, you put me 10 of the guys and I'm running for 150
- 2:14:15on Dallas. So that really didn't impress me
- 2:14:17that much to give me the Seahawks to cover that spread.
- 2:14:20And then the last game I'm going to go back to college.
- 2:14:23I can get there. A couple notes here, it's going
- 2:14:28to be a Friday night game Tulane versus Memphis.
- 2:14:32I think this is a good spot to take Tulane at plus a 3 1/2.
- 2:14:38Now Tulane just came off a terrible play against UTSA where
- 2:14:41they gave up fifty plus points or 40 plus points something
- 2:14:45insane lost. They scored nineteen points.
- 2:14:47This is such a bounce back spot in Memphis at 8:00 and 1:00
- 2:14:50member. We're kind of still in this.
- 2:14:52Memphis is in so that the top rated team outside the power 4
- 2:14:57playoff contention. I don't think they're going to
- 2:14:59get there. I think Tulane wins this game
- 2:15:00now, right? I will take the points in my
- 2:15:02back pocket. I think it's a great bounce back
- 2:15:04spot for them after getting land blasted by UTSA.
- 2:15:08They come in on the road and win a good game against a good
- 2:15:10Memphis team. All right, the Knicks are laying
- 2:15:14the smacketh on the Timberwolves right now.
- 2:15:17They're just smacking them. It's the game's over
- 2:15:20practically. I think it's over in about 30
- 2:15:22seconds, but it looks like the Knicks are going to come up with
- 2:15:27a win and they'll be 5 and three.
- 2:15:29This might give them that confidence and maybe listen, I
- 2:15:33think it's going to take 25 games for the Knicks to get
- 2:15:36where they want to be and and build the confidence with the
- 2:15:39season. But Knick fans are having a
- 2:15:41heart attack because they're four and three right now and
- 2:15:43they're in six plays in the Eastern Conference.
- 2:15:45Guys, relax. I expect the Knicks to win 60 to
- 2:15:4862 games this year, and they're going to be fine.
- 2:15:52I I really do. And once, once Carl Anthony
- 2:15:56Towns realizes shooting 80 foot jumpers don't work, we'll be
- 2:15:59fine. So I, I could book that one.
- 2:16:02So yeah, 5 hot garbage teams. That's fine.
- 2:16:06They're still winning. They're still NBA teams.
- 2:16:09You got to beat them. And Anthony Edwards is still on
- 2:16:11this roster. And by the way, Julius Randall's
- 2:16:13pretty damn good too. So yeah, whatever.
- 2:16:17Anyways, Reno, Johnny, thank you.
- 2:16:21I'll be back next week or I'm actually out next week.
- 2:16:26I'm out next week. I'll be in Mexico.
- 2:16:28What? Are you going to do in Mexico,
- 2:16:30man? Next week I have my my wife's
- 2:16:33friends getting married out there and we were invited.
- 2:16:35So don't drink the water. We don't drink the water.
- 2:16:38And we have spent the money, the hotel, the the flights are
- 2:16:42booked. The kid has a babysitter.
- 2:16:44So it's me and the wife down in Mexico for a.
- 2:16:48Couple days I'm. With the woman.
- 2:16:49Enjoy. You're going to use it, You're
- 2:16:51going to, you're going to use the paddles or what?
- 2:16:54We're going to use whatever we got in the hotel room.
- 2:16:56There you go. Paddle it up, my friend.
- 2:16:58Paddle it up. Take it to the brim, baby.
- 2:17:01Two weeks, two weeks, I'll be back.
- 2:17:03You're a basketball player, you should take it to the rim, if
- 2:17:05you know what I mean. I'm going to try.
- 2:17:07I'm going to try, yeah. Just make sure you're safe over
- 2:17:11there so you don't score, if you know what I mean.
- 2:17:14Yeah. We'll see, but yes, I'll see
- 2:17:17y'all in two weeks. The baby maker go to Co Cancuni
- 2:17:22with Mexicano. Yeah.
- 2:17:24So there you go, Reno. Johnny's going to Mexico,
- 2:17:26enjoying his wedding with the Wifer.
- 2:17:29Speedy, you have a hidden wife somewhere.
- 2:17:32I don't know any girls, any speedsters, any Speedy delivery,
- 2:17:38if you know what I mean. Are you delivering the cake?
- 2:17:43No. Are you patting the whiskers?
- 2:17:45Are you beating the snugs department?
- 2:17:47Are you beating the meat? Are you slamming the salami?
- 2:17:50No. Padding the whiskers is snugs
- 2:17:52department. She loves all the cats.
- 2:17:53Are you popping the corn in the hole?
- 2:17:57No, no corn. That's one state over from Java
- 2:18:00so that we'll trust him. Are you slipping the pony?
- 2:18:04No, that's Chaz's department. You're dating everyone else.
- 2:18:07Horse racing, corn cats. Are you priesting the Judas?
- 2:18:12You know what I mean? No, I figured you don't know.
- 2:18:15It's OK, Speedy. You're a little lost.
- 2:18:17Are you going to Tim the Donnie? I will not answer that.
- 2:18:28Tony Beats anyways. Yeah.
- 2:18:30Let's go to a break. We have in like Flynn.
- 2:18:33No goodies. Bag of balls.
- 2:18:34Tonight we have King of the Hill and somebody smells like
- 2:18:38mothballs. It might be the old speedster.
- 2:18:42So we're going to help them out. We have what's that smell as
- 2:18:46well? All right, let's go to break.
- 2:18:51This is the Jabba and the Mouth Sportsman ads.
- 2:18:57Right guys, Aaron Fishman here with your sportsman.
- 2:19:00It got a couple of stories before we get into the scores
- 2:19:02this evening and some under the radar news on Monday.
- 2:19:06FOX NFL Sunday color commentator and legendary quarterback Tom
- 2:19:10Brady is so good at staying young.
- 2:19:13Death no longer will stop him from keeping his life going how
- 2:19:17he wants it to be. Apparently, after Brady lost his
- 2:19:20dog Lua in 2023, some of Lua's blood was used in order to clone
- 2:19:25her into his new dog, Junie. Brady celebrated the company who
- 2:19:29gave him his genetically engineered animal Colossal
- 2:19:33Biosciences, earlier this year on Instagram when they
- 2:19:36successfully cloned a dire wolf back into existence after they
- 2:19:40went extinct near the end of the last Ice Age.
- 2:19:42Well extinct outside of House Stark and Game of Thrones, Brady
- 2:19:45shocked many in an article in People magazine where he
- 2:19:49revealed the miracle puppy who is a carbon copy of his old dog.
- 2:19:53I love my animals, they mean the world to me and my family, told
- 2:19:56People magazine a few years ago. I worked with Colossal and
- 2:20:00leveraged their non invasive cloning technology through a
- 2:20:03simple blood draw of her family's elderly dog before she
- 2:20:06passed. Colossal Biosciences is setting
- 2:20:09its sights on the woolly mammoth as its next animal to bring back
- 2:20:13in its de extinction efforts. Colossal added cloning to its
- 2:20:17inventory of services after acquiring the company Viogen,
- 2:20:20who famously cloned pets for movie stars Barbra Streisand and
- 2:20:24Paris Hilton. It certainly appears that the
- 2:20:26great TB 12 isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and if he is, we
- 2:20:31may end up with TB 1314 and so on, even if he does.
- 2:20:35Every so often in tennis we have debates over men's tennis and
- 2:20:39women's tennis. There have been plenty of men
- 2:20:41who believed that they would easily beat the top women in the
- 2:20:43sport, even if the men are washed up former players.
- 2:20:46Going back to the famous Battle of the Sexes in the 1970s
- 2:20:50between legendary women's tennis player and feminist icon Billie
- 2:20:53Jean King and a 55 year old former Wimbledon champion Bobby
- 2:20:57Riggs who had just beaten the top Australian women's player
- 2:21:00trying to get King to face him. King won the match in a historic
- 2:21:04moment during the 70s. Feminist movement.
- 2:21:06Well, it appears we are about to have a redux of the famous match
- 2:21:09from half a century ago in Dubai on December 28th when woman's
- 2:21:14number one player in the world, Arno Sabalenka will take on Nick
- 2:21:17Kurdios, who has not played regularly in a few years dealing
- 2:21:20with injury and is ranked lower than 600 in the world.
- 2:21:23Current Kirgios has been outspoken about how the match
- 2:21:26would go and apparently in Dubai there will be a market for this
- 2:21:29exhibition. She is not going to beat me.
- 2:21:31Do you really think I have to try?
- 2:21:32100%? I'm going to try because I'm
- 2:21:35represented the men's side. I'd say like 6-2 maybe.
- 2:21:38Kirgios playing, I'm not going to go there and say oh, she's so
- 2:21:41good, I can't play this. That would make me look so bad.
- 2:21:44I'd imagine the Internet would go crazy, go bananas.
- 2:21:47I mean, our serves women can't really return those and then we
- 2:21:50can just chip and drop shot. I think I'm going to be OK.
- 2:21:53I'm going to go there and I don't want her to win, that's
- 2:21:55for sure. Regardless of whether or not you
- 2:21:58believe her goes or not, we're sure to have an interesting
- 2:22:00spectacle after Christmas this year considering Sabalenka has
- 2:22:03no soft spoken opponent having issues with numerous competitors
- 2:22:07throughout the 2025 season. Guys, we are streaming live on

- 2:24:39if you know what I mean. Anyways, ladies and gentlemen,
- 2:24:43before we get into in like Flynn, I just want to mention
- 2:24:47there are two new stories up. And by the way, Nathan, I love
- 2:24:51you. OK?
- 2:24:52We have wonderful stories. Why are you writing about the
- 2:24:57Westchester Golden Rams? I know you.
- 2:25:00You love women's soccer and you like going to the games.
- 2:25:04I, I love you Nathan, go check out two new stories.
- 2:25:09I have one on Joel and Bead 7 feet of excuses, the Joel and
- 2:25:14Bead legacy. It's a great article I wrote and
- 2:25:18also today the latest 1 Matthew Schaefer, the new savior of the
- 2:25:23Islanders and the ghost of Beanbag Tavares.
- 2:25:28So ladies and gentlemen, it is great articles.
- 2:25:32I've posted them, check them out.
- 2:25:34I've wrote them, I've put a lot of time into them, and I
- 2:25:38definitely want people to check out some of the stuff.
- 2:25:40You definitely have my humor on it, Speedy.
- 2:25:43Am I wrong or right? You definitely got my humor.
- 2:25:45So I promise you, it's definitely must read.
- 2:25:49And if you haven't read it, well, shame on you.
- 2:25:52We call this in Like Flynn. My lady, I've often heard that
- 2:25:56you'd give me a warm welcome if ever we met again.
- 2:26:02And like flan, flan. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 2:26:07we do this every single week and I want to say something.
- 2:26:11We had Tim Donaghy on the show and I wanted to do something
- 2:26:15with basketball. Yes, ladies and gentlemen.
- 2:26:19So tonight I am going to grade the top 10 guards in the NBA.
- 2:26:28That's right. You heard it from me.
- 2:26:31I'm going to give you. So I, I was looking around and
- 2:26:36hoop Shype is, is one of those big, big websites.
- 2:26:42I, I was looking and, and scoping out which which one I
- 2:26:46want to go through. I don't want to go through ESPN
- 2:26:48because I don't like ESPN and, and what ESPN posts up.
- 2:26:52So I'm going to go with this one.
- 2:26:53I I thought it was very interesting how they graded
- 2:26:56these guys. So at #10 they have Tyrese Maxey
- 2:27:03from Philadelphia and Tyrese Maxey is averaging well.
- 2:27:06Last year he was averaging 26.3 points per game, 6.1 assists per
- 2:27:12game, and yeah, three, about 3.3 rebounds a game.
- 2:27:16I would say about four ratio of that and 43.7 field goal
- 2:27:22percentage. He's averaging 37 million a
- 2:27:25year. I would have thought they would
- 2:27:27have graded him higher. I, I think that Joel Embiid has
- 2:27:30not been healthy and it's been on this kid to really take over
- 2:27:34and, and really be the leader of this team.
- 2:27:36He doesn't cry to the media. He goes out and he plays the
- 2:27:40damn game game. And I, I think he's definitely
- 2:27:43higher at than 10. So I'm going to go to number 9
- 2:27:48and I'm going to tell you why I would even put Maxi ahead of
- 2:27:51this guy, D Aaron Fox. And D Aaron Fox at #9 is
- 2:27:55interesting with San Antonio. And I would put D Aaron Fox at
- 2:27:58number #10 by the way, because I think that's where he sits.
- 2:28:03D Aaron Fox can't stay healthy with his talent.
- 2:28:06It's you. You can't, you can't argue the
- 2:28:08talent of this kid. He he could do everything. 26.3
- 2:28:12points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, 6.1 assists per game.
- 2:28:16It's almost identical to Tyrese Maxi, but he plays with Web and
- 2:28:21Yama. And I just think that, you know,
- 2:28:24you're playing with one of the best young big men in the
- 2:28:27league. I I think that, you know,
- 2:28:30obviously you have that kind of star in the team.
- 2:28:32I don't think Philadelphia has enough of Joel Embiid and not
- 2:28:36enough of him playing because he doesn't play back to backs.
- 2:28:39I would put the Aaron Fox over at 10.
- 2:28:44So that's where I would put the Aaron Fox at #10 I would move
- 2:28:48Maxi even down lower at #8JA Moranz.
- 2:28:55Now John Moran is one of the most accurate players in all of
- 2:28:58sports, especially in the NBA. His high flying dunks special.
- 2:29:03But his gun charges and, and the stupidity off the court really
- 2:29:08hurts him on the court and, and, and, and it definitely hurts his
- 2:29:12play. You can see it.
- 2:29:14He's making 39 million a year, averaging 23.2 points per game,
- 2:29:184.1 rebounds per game, and his field goal percentage is 45.4.
- 2:29:24He is a great player. There's no question that he is.
- 2:29:28But I, I'm definitely going to make him dip and he is going to
- 2:29:31dip to #9 on my, my grade at #8 This is where I put Tyrese
- 2:29:39Maxie. Tyrese Maxie deserves a little
- 2:29:42bit more credit than that where they're putting them.
- 2:29:44And a lot of different, you know, leagues and, and different
- 2:29:47papers and, and articles have put him as a top ten point
- 2:29:52guard. So I would put him at 8 #7 James
- 2:29:59Harden. Now I wouldn't put James Harden
- 2:30:03in my top ten. OK, I know how talented he is.
- 2:30:07He is a prolific offensive player, averaging 22.8 points
- 2:30:11per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, 8.7 assists per game, and a 41
- 2:30:17point O field goal percentage. He did win an MVPI.
- 2:30:20Would not, I repeat, I would not put him in my top ten.
- 2:30:25I'm not a big fan of the one and only James Harden just because
- 2:30:31of his inconsistency and his double dribbling because he
- 2:30:36likes to hold the ball. We've said that the step backs
- 2:30:39are a little out there, so I would not put him in my top 10
- 2:30:43at #7 I am going to put the one and only Trey Young.
- 2:30:49They got him on at number six. I think he's a little bit
- 2:30:52higher. Trey Young, 24.2 points per
- 2:30:56game, 3.1 rebounds per game, 11.6 assists per game, 41.1
- 2:31:02field goal percentage. He's a great player.
- 2:31:04He's got an ability to shoot the three.
- 2:31:07He doesn't make anybody around him better in my eyes.
- 2:31:09I don't care if he's averaging 11.6 per game.
- 2:31:12They're at the end of the game at the Hawks.
- 2:31:14A horrible team. I, I just, I, I don't think he
- 2:31:18makes the team around him better.
- 2:31:19I, I think that he should be going somewhere else and it
- 2:31:23maybe has an opportunity to be a star somewhere else.
- 2:31:26I would put him at 7, at number six.
- 2:31:31And I know a lot of people are going to hate me on this, but
- 2:31:34I'm going to go, I'm going to go this route because I just think
- 2:31:37that he's a lot better there and I'm bringing it up right now.
- 2:31:41I am going to go, ladies and gentlemen, this year, not
- 2:31:45because of his back end of his career and everything like that.
- 2:31:49This year I'm going to go Lamella Ball.
- 2:31:52Lamella Ball, when playing this guy is as good as anybody in the
- 2:31:57league at his position. I think he can pass.
- 2:32:00He averaged 7.4 assists per game last year, 4.9 rebounds per
- 2:32:05game, 25.2 points per game. He's playing on a bad team.
- 2:32:0814.40 point, 5 field goal percentage.
- 2:32:11He's a great 3 point shooter. He's the best of the ball
- 2:32:14brothers. There's no question that he is.
- 2:32:17I do believe he is that good and I I think he's going to be even
- 2:32:21better when they put a bunch of players around them.
- 2:32:23I, I don't get why I haven't yet, but it is the Charlotte
- 2:32:27Hornets and they are a terrible, terrible organization.
- 2:32:31So I would put him at number six at #5 I would agree with this.
- 2:32:40I will, I will agree with this. They got Steph Curry and Steph
- 2:32:45Curry who's still a sensational guard.
- 2:32:47There's no question that he is. He averages 2024.4 points per
- 2:32:5224.5 points per game last year, 4.4 rebounds per game, six point
- 2:32:57cyst a game, six point O cyst per game, 44.8 field goal
- 2:33:01percentage. He is a great overall play.
- 2:33:03He's making a lot of money, $59 million.
- 2:33:06He can shoot the three. He's the best 3 point shooter in
- 2:33:08the league still to this day. He makes everybody around him
- 2:33:11better, but he's falling and and one of the reasons why is there
- 2:33:16is a much younger players and much younger talent in the NBA
- 2:33:21right now. So I would agree, I would put
- 2:33:23Steph Curry in the top five, but at 5 #4 they have Cade
- 2:33:30Cunningham now. This guy to me should be much
- 2:33:32higher. I think this guy is as good as
- 2:33:35any point guard in the league. He's playing on the Detroit
- 2:33:37Pistons. OK, the Pistons now he can't
- 2:33:40stay healthy. Last year was the first year I I
- 2:33:43can, I can remember that he stayed healthy since he was
- 2:33:45drafted. 26.1 per points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 9.1
- 2:33:51assists per game, 46.9 field goal percentage.
- 2:33:55This guy makes everybody around him better, so I think he's a
- 2:34:00little higher than this at #4 I would put they have him at #3
- 2:34:05but until he proves himself in the big game, I'm going to take
- 2:34:10him out of the top three. I'm putting my guy Jalen Bronson
- 2:34:15at #4. Jalen Bronson averages 26.0
- 2:34:19points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 7.3 assists per game,
- 2:34:25a field goal percentage of 48.8 which is one of the highest in
- 2:34:29the league. He's played great ball.
- 2:34:32He's made the Knicks a contender over the last couple of years
- 2:34:36and might jump to an MVP candidate this year.
- 2:34:38We have to see if he's more consistent in certain parts of
- 2:34:43the season. I would put him at four and at
- 2:34:47#3. I am going to put Luka Doncic.
- 2:34:52They have him at #2 Luka Dodgic is I, I don't consider him a
- 2:34:56point guard. I I would see, I would say he is
- 2:34:59a guard. You could put him at the 2, you
- 2:35:01could put him at the three. He can play multiple positions.
- 2:35:03A point guard, I don't know. 28.2 points per game, 8.2
- 2:35:08rebounds per game, 7.7 assists per game, a 45.0 field goal
- 2:35:13percentage. I think Luca is one of the best
- 2:35:15players in the league. I would put him in my top three
- 2:35:18in the league as a guard. No at #2 I would put Kate
- 2:35:22Cunningham. I think Kate Cunningham is that
- 2:35:26great of a player. He's special.
- 2:35:29I I might even jump him to #1 by the end of the season.
- 2:35:32He is so good, so special and when he plays at the top of his
- 2:35:36game, I don't think there's anybody better than him at the
- 2:35:39position. You saw what he did against the
- 2:35:41Knicks in round one. It wasn't because of him that
- 2:35:44they lost in that series. It was just no depth by the
- 2:35:47Detroit Pistons. He put the team on his
- 2:35:50shoulders. He played well.
- 2:35:51I'm not going to say Cade is not an elite player.
- 2:35:54He is absolutely elite at #2 and at #1.
- 2:35:59I would agree with them, There's no doubt about it.
- 2:36:01The MVP of the league, Shy Alexander.
- 2:36:07He wears these ugly outfits, as you guys put it.
- 2:36:11But he has style, baby. He has style and I love his
- 2:36:16family life. I love everything about him on
- 2:36:18and off the court. I love that he's a great
- 2:36:20teammate. I love his potential as an elite
- 2:36:24point guard in this league. There's nothing bad to say about
- 2:36:28this guy. 3.23.7 points per game last year. 5 point O rebounds
- 2:36:33per game. 6.4 assists per game. A 1.7 steals per game. 51.9
- 2:36:39field goal percentage, which is the best out of any guard in the
- 2:36:43league. He is as good as anybody and
- 2:36:46he's underpaid $38 million a year.
- 2:36:49When you look at the top guards of the league, he's taking less
- 2:36:52money and he's that special man. I think he's the best of the
- 2:36:57best and will be considered the Jordan like player if he
- 2:37:03continues on this trajectory. He is a great defender too.
- 2:37:07This guy can play two way basketball as good as anybody.
- 2:37:10I don't think there's a better two way basketball player at his
- 2:37:13position in the league. That's how good he is at the
- 2:37:16position. He can defend any but any guard
- 2:37:19in the league at a high level. Give me shy Alexander at #1 and
- 2:37:24why somebody skipped him in our league all the way to 4 to 4 to
- 2:37:28me makes no sense. But whoever did, thank you very
- 2:37:32much. I'm loving it.
- 2:37:34Shy Alexander #1 So that, ladies and gentlemen, is the top ten
- 2:37:40point guards in my view in the NBA.
- 2:37:44Bronson hasn't done it in the big game.
- 2:37:47And until he gets this team over the hump to the Finals, I I just
- 2:37:50don't know if he shows up in the games that he needs to show up
- 2:37:53in. I want to see him do that.
- 2:37:55If he does it this year. I know a lot of people, AKA
- 2:37:58Stephen A Smith thinks he's an MVP candidate.
- 2:38:02I don't know, I want to see the next pick up the pace.
- 2:38:05This is a new coach Mike Brown is going to get them right, I
- 2:38:10believe and in the right rotation on this roster.
- 2:38:13So but yeah, I don't think he's in the top three and I would put
- 2:38:16Luca, even though I don't think Luca is in my top 2.
- 2:38:21He is in my top three. It's.
- 2:38:22So hard to like, although some of them are pretty obvious, but
- 2:38:26like Luca is just tough if they're going to put him on the
- 2:38:28list like is he truly genuinely a point guard?
- 2:38:30Like it's just tough now with he's.
- 2:38:34Really, he's under guard. He's under 3, he's under 3, he's
- 2:38:38under 2. He could be.
- 2:38:39He could be multiple positions in fantasy.
- 2:38:42He does bring the ball up. He's not I I don't think I would
- 2:38:47consider him a guard. That's just my opinion.
- 2:38:49I would think he's the elite of the elite of threes in the NBAI
- 2:38:55think he's great. I just don't put him.
- 2:38:58I don't put him in my top 2. I don't put him as a point guard
- 2:39:00either, no. Kate Cunningham is special, That
- 2:39:03kid is special. And if he could stay healthy, I
- 2:39:07think he could be even the best guard in the league.
- 2:39:09That's how good he is. I love watching a play.
- 2:39:12I really, really do. And you know, maybe I'm not
- 2:39:16going to say future Nick because I love Jalen.
- 2:39:18I'm not going to say that. But he has ties in New York.
- 2:39:22There is stories. He's only, he's only 20. 4.
- 2:39:24I know. And does he want to stay in
- 2:39:26Detroit? I mean, come on, who wants to
- 2:39:28stay in Detroit? Just the new arena.
- 2:39:30Sweet. Yeah.
- 2:39:32But yeah, it's Detroit. Who likes that?
- 2:39:35Well, yeah, but that whole downtown area, they put over a
- 2:39:37billion dollars in it. I guess you're right.
- 2:39:40I know you were there and I know you will stick up for Detroit
- 2:39:43till the. End well, No, no, I mean, it's
- 2:39:45crazy too that Dan Gilbert's from there and he he put half of
- 2:39:48the money in. Yeah, and he doesn't put half
- 2:39:50the money into Ohio Cleveland. Yeah, great.
- 2:39:54And and he owns the casino in Detroit, too.
- 2:39:56I figured that one out. He's still probably the best
- 2:39:58owner of the three Cleveland sports teams.
- 2:40:00Though Well, yeah, I mean, well, the new, yeah, the new
- 2:40:03Cleveland, one of the baseball isn't there.
- 2:40:06Somebody needs the other Dolan, Somebody needs to smack around.
- 2:40:10Somebody needs to smack Mr. Gilbert around.
- 2:40:12LeBron tried to this didn't work and then he went back there and
- 2:40:15won of a championship. Makes me sick.
- 2:40:17Anyways, yeah, that was in like Flynn this week.
- 2:40:21I think it was a good one. I really do.
- 2:40:23And I did that for Tim Donaghy for joining us.
- 2:40:27I I know he's a huge basketball guy.
- 2:40:31And that's for you, Timmy. We love you.
- 2:40:33That was a great interview, by the way.
- 2:40:35It really was. And I I wanted to be polite and
- 2:40:38I was baby. What did you think of the
- 2:40:39interview? I thought it was fantastic.
- 2:40:40I did and I wanted to make sure that I had fun with it.
- 2:40:43And I know he's not a big fan of David Stern.
- 2:40:45I kind of threw the threw it out there like I put like, you know,
- 2:40:50a worm on the pole. And I said, oh, well, David
- 2:40:53Stern really changed the league for the better.
- 2:40:56And he gave me a look and then I was like, OK, all right, I'm
- 2:40:59sorry, I didn't mean to do that. But it was it was a great
- 2:41:03interview. All right, No goodies, bag a
- 2:41:05ball. So we got King of the Hill.
- 2:41:08And here's the king of the hill. This, Bobby, is the Beltline.
- 2:41:12You never, ever hit below that. Not that kind of king of the
- 2:41:16Hill. You dumb Ready?
- 2:41:16Are you ready? This is King of the Hill.
- 2:41:21Welcome back to King of the Hill, everyone's favorite trivia
- 2:41:26competition game. We're going to get a chance to
- 2:41:29take on the king, I believe, who was the Last King that made.
- 2:41:32Arrow one. Arrow one.
- 2:41:35All right, so arrow back in the rightful seat as king tonight.
- 2:41:39First round it's everybody versus to get a chance to get to
- 2:41:44be finalists to take each other on in the joust in Round 2,
- 2:41:48where you get win a chance to take on king.
- 2:41:51Your competitors will get a chance to vote on if they want
- 2:41:56you to stay the king or to be changed to a new king for next
- 2:42:00time. Are you guys ready to play king
- 2:42:02of the hill? All right, nobody's ready to
- 2:42:06play. But I'm ready to play.
- 2:42:08I'm trying to be polite here. I don't.
- 2:42:10I'm ready. My string, my string.
- 2:42:12You know when your string's on your another total Jack.
- 2:42:14Nothing was bugging me. We're gonna go for the first one
- 2:42:17and this is a general sports topic tonight, No specific
- 2:42:21sports. Who you think are the most
- 2:42:24famous athletes of all? Now I'm going to give you guys.
- 2:42:30In on the back as. Well, I'm going to give you guys
- 2:42:32a tip. If I'm voting, don't go a route
- 2:42:35that I think you're going to go. I'm just telling you, just
- 2:42:37throwing that curve because you will lose.
- 2:42:40Nathan, if you want to get in, you can get in on this.
- 2:42:42If you're not, you know, watching some.
- 2:42:44Sebastian could get on on it if he wants.
- 2:42:46He wants. He can come in.
- 2:42:47Sebastian, if you want to get in, you can get in.
- 2:42:50Yeah. All right, so this is how it
- 2:42:52works. Nathan, you going to play?
- 2:42:54No, I'm good. You don't want to play.
- 2:42:57All right. Bye, Nathan.
- 2:42:59Yeah, bye. He's he probably got no pants on
- 2:43:01right now. You just.
- 2:43:02I was going to say, what exactly was he was?
- 2:43:04That was quick, wasn't it? That was.
- 2:43:05Quick. Breaking news, a lot of hot
- 2:43:09ladies. Browsers open all right, lot of.
- 2:43:12Hot. I got to go back off now.
- 2:43:14Enjoy that, whatever you know, if it's your girl Lisa that was
- 2:43:17on the screen or not, I don't know, but here it is.
- 2:43:20Most famous athletes of all time.
- 2:43:23You're going to pick any athlete and tell us why he's the most
- 2:43:27famous or one of the most famous of all time.
- 2:43:29You got 3 total picks. Jabba, you're going to go first,
- 2:43:33followed by Jarrett, Speedy and Sebastian.
- 2:43:36You're going to go 2 times in a row because it'll snake back
- 2:43:39down the other way like a fantasy draft.
- 2:43:42Here we go, Jabba, start us off. All right.
- 2:43:46Well, I know I'm kind of nowhere.
- 2:43:49Errol probably is leading whatever, but I'm going to, I'm
- 2:43:52going to kind of keep it old school with some new school, but
- 2:43:56I'm going to have to go Cassius Clay because that's what his
- 2:43:59Mama named him. And then obviously became
- 2:44:02Muhammad Ali. I think just the way that he,
- 2:44:05you know, transcended a sport, but also a culture and how, you
- 2:44:10know, he did things in a different way that hadn't been
- 2:44:13seen before as far as Moxie, as far as personality and, you
- 2:44:17know, took a sport that, you know, obviously was huge at the
- 2:44:20time. But kind of, you know, with the
- 2:44:22thrill in Manila and all the other stuff that he did to make
- 2:44:25it and more global sport is just that famous category is is
- 2:44:31definitely him on the Mount Rushmore for sure.
- 2:44:34Jared. All right.
- 2:44:38Errol kind of scared me off a certain route, so I'm going to
- 2:44:40go kind of more American here. We're going to go with Michael
- 2:44:43Jordan. Michael Jordan is basketball
- 2:44:46around the world. I don't think there's more
- 2:44:48famous basketball player you can prove LeBron, Curry, whoever
- 2:44:51they're not more famous than Michael Jordan just based on his
- 2:44:54own name is created a billion dollar company just off his own
- 2:44:58name and issues. So it's Michael Jordan.
- 2:45:01Speedy All right, I'll go similar route to Java, take
- 2:45:03another boxer. I'll take Mike Tyson, a
- 2:45:05heavyweight for his era too. It was probably a video game
- 2:45:08named after him. And obviously before the whole
- 2:45:10ear biting incident you guys talked about a few weeks ago
- 2:45:12that he was thought of as like one of the just overall greatest
- 2:45:16guys in boxing and obviously won a ton of heavyweight
- 2:45:20championships. Sebastian for two.
- 2:45:25I'm gonna go Tom Brady. I mean, he's the greatest
- 2:45:28football player to ever grace the football field.
- 2:45:31Seven rings. I mean, that's that's a no
- 2:45:33brainer in my opinion. Any football fan, you ask him
- 2:45:35who's the go, they're gonna say Tom Brady.
- 2:45:37So I'm going to go Tom Brady and then since I pick again, I'm
- 2:45:41going to follow on what Jared on the route.
- 2:45:43Jared is with basketball. I'm just I'm going to say
- 2:45:45LeBron. I mean he's after Jordan.
- 2:45:47I guess name wise, Lebron's next.
- 2:45:50Everybody talks about LeBron every day.
- 2:45:52He's the all time NBA league scorer.
- 2:45:55So that's going to be my fix, Tom Brady and LeBron.
- 2:45:59Speedy. And I'll do the first Baseball
- 2:46:001. We'll go Babe Ruth, the Great
- 2:46:02Bambino, obviously still popular references even after he played,
- 2:46:05even after he passed away with The Sandlot and so many other
- 2:46:07things. And obviously we.
- 2:46:09Need losses of clout? Yes, and even a.
- 2:46:12Little butt plug I don't. Know if it's directly named
- 2:46:14after him, but I can't even named after him with the Baby
- 2:46:15Ruth bar and baseball cards galore.
- 2:46:18There's branding that still goes on for almost 100 years now with
- 2:46:21that man. I want her melons.
- 2:46:25Jared, I'm. Going to take the chance and go
- 2:46:28the athlete that has the most followers, I believe on social
- 2:46:31media of anybody and that's Cristiano Ronaldo.
- 2:46:35Soccer is the biggest sport in the world.
- 2:46:37He just and Cristiano Ronaldo is the biggest name in soccer has
- 2:46:41been for the last 20 years. I think he has over a billion
- 2:46:44social media. Followers on each.
- 2:46:46Platform. It's just ridiculous how famous
- 2:46:49that is. Very good point, Jabba for two.
- 2:46:56I'm going to go on a different a different route too.
- 2:46:59I'm going to go Tiger Woods for how obviously global golf has
- 2:47:05been. Obviously it wasn't invented in
- 2:47:07the United States, but when he came about how it how it moved
- 2:47:12the needle to not only, you know, to young kids made it
- 2:47:18cool. I mean, he was the first guy you
- 2:47:21talk about Jordan and a logo that TW still lives and to do
- 2:47:27what he's done and to have the controversy and still be loved
- 2:47:31in the way that he is in the game of golf and around.
- 2:47:36I think it's it's just it has to be him and and what he's done
- 2:47:41for the game of golf. And my second one, I'm going to
- 2:47:45go the dude in the water and Michael Phelps because in a a
- 2:47:52sport that I didn't care at all for.
- 2:47:56I mean, obviously I love going to the pool in the summer, but
- 2:47:59you would turn the TV on to watch this dude and he made it
- 2:48:03cool to smoke weed and swim. And for anybody that can make
- 2:48:08swimming. Pool and smoking.
- 2:48:09Weed that's that's pretty damn good in my book.
- 2:48:14Jared. Titties.
- 2:48:16All right, pro wrestling's not a sport, but pro wrestlers are
- 2:48:20athletes, and this guy played football in college.
- 2:48:23So I'm going to go with The Rock.
- 2:48:25The Rock is one of the most famous actors in the world, Is
- 2:48:28and was an athlete. I mean, you're going.
- 2:48:30To say like I think he's most highest paid actor in Hollywood
- 2:48:32right now, no. That's like, that's a good one,
- 2:48:37Jared. Dodger.
- 2:48:39They created speedy. I'll take.
- 2:48:42The other big name soccer player and said this generation that's
- 2:48:44Lionel Messi now obviously going to MLS areas now in Miami and
- 2:48:48he's very popular over there like this is MLS is like where
- 2:48:52all the washed up soccer players allegedly go and.
- 2:48:55I need a blow pop messy. 'S kind of created a whole like
- 2:48:58soccer culture there in a state in Miami that's a football state
- 2:49:01with college football in the NFL and a little bit the NBA.
- 2:49:04But those fans also left the game during Game 6.
- 2:49:06Blowjob. Just that.
- 2:49:07But I'll go messy. All right.
- 2:49:09And last pick of the round, Sebastian.
- 2:49:12Speedy took my pick, so I'm going to go with my backup pick.
- 2:49:16I'm going to stick to basketball.
- 2:49:17I'm going to say Steph Curry's the greatest shooter of all
- 2:49:19time. You know, kids nowadays, all
- 2:49:22they're obsessed with shooting 3 ball from all the way down
- 2:49:25court. You hear Kobe when they shoot,
- 2:49:27but don't they're they're starting to play like Curry now.
- 2:49:30So I'm going to go Steph Curry's last.
- 2:49:33Week. All right, Errol, who's moving
- 2:49:35on to the joust? I'm going to go different
- 2:49:38tonight. I'm going to go Jabba and Jared.
- 2:49:44All right, we've got the two moving on.
- 2:49:47I like the Babe Ruth, Speedy. I like the Babe Ruth.
- 2:49:50I like your takes. I I just, I'm going to go
- 2:49:54another route. I want to see what these guys
- 2:49:55got. All right guys, pop back off
- 2:49:58camera until the last round when we vote on the new king.
- 2:50:02Here we go Round 2 the joust best announcers in all of sports
- 2:50:10history. This could be any type of
- 2:50:12announcer from from people that do the PA in the stadium to play
- 2:50:18by play guys to color guys to anyone that's on the radio or
- 2:50:22television all time. All right, best announcers in
- 2:50:27sports history, Errol, who's going first?
- 2:50:30Let's go, Jared all. Right.
- 2:50:35OK. I'm going to go then Scully
- 2:50:39first. I think you talk about just
- 2:50:42iconic baseball announcers. That's one of the first name
- 2:50:45that's going to come to mind. So many legendary calls with
- 2:50:48him. The Gibson home runs, the first
- 2:50:54like call I think of I'm thinking of like a great
- 2:50:56announcing call. So let's go with Vince.
- 2:50:57Scully, Jabba. I'm going to stay the baseball
- 2:51:02ride, baseball route. I'm going to go Mel Allen this
- 2:51:06week in baseball is is just that the theme song and that voice
- 2:51:10and and Mel Island obviously starting with the Yankees as a
- 2:51:13play by play and just how that that show you got, you know,
- 2:51:17just the IT was the prerequisite to to what everything is in in
- 2:51:21the recap shows. And you know, his voice is is
- 2:51:25something that I'll never forget and was lucky enough to to have
- 2:51:30that. And I was going to go Vince
- 2:51:31Scully because I was fortunate enough to have my name come out
- 2:51:34of his mouth with this super, super dope.
- 2:51:36Droba smack my ass. He pronounced it right, though.
- 2:51:42Droba, Droba, I'm going to. Go with Mike Brain.
- 2:51:47I think especially the last 20 years, the best basketball
- 2:51:51announcer going play by play. Just awesome.
- 2:51:55Completely one of my mentors. Yeah, he's he's he's the man
- 2:52:00just incredible, incredible play by play work the bangs, every
- 2:52:06single call. And I think just his knowledge
- 2:52:08of the game, even if he's not calling, even he's calling a
- 2:52:10Knicks game on national TV to be completely unbiased in every
- 2:52:13game, even when he's calling just a Knicks broadcast, like
- 2:52:16I'll turn every like I watched the Knicks on league pass
- 2:52:19constantly just because I'm like, I'm going to get I'm going
- 2:52:21to get Breenan Fraser. That's the best announced team
- 2:52:22in the business right now. All right, Jabba.
- 2:52:28I'm going to go Jack Buck. I absolutely just just love Jack
- 2:52:34Buck and and just the what he did and obviously kind of a
- 2:52:39Homer just because I got to listen to him a little bit more
- 2:52:41being in, you know, the Midwest and and growing up with that and
- 2:52:45it just synonymous with how many, you know, world Syria,
- 2:52:48obviously. And he served in our military
- 2:52:50too, as an army, got a Purple Heart and just the way he, you
- 2:52:55know, started in radio. And then I think in the early
- 2:52:5850s, my dad would always talk about how that was one of the
- 2:53:01first forces that he ever remembers being in the
- 2:53:04Children's Hospital. So it was always somebody that I
- 2:53:06kind of migrated towards, which was was super cool.
- 2:53:09And to do it for as long as he did was was awesome.
- 2:53:12All right. Last ones, Jared.
- 2:53:15Well, Sebastian just mentioned in the comments it's going to be
- 2:53:18Kevin Harlan, just truly an amazing voice on commentary.
- 2:53:23First of all, in just a way with words that he has to call
- 2:53:27everything. Super entertaining announcer,
- 2:53:29great calls anytime there's a big big moment in any game in
- 2:53:33any sport to calls. Football, baseball, basketball,
- 2:53:36everything all. Right, and finish it off.
- 2:53:39Java we actually referenced one of his sayings.
- 2:53:42I think Chris Berman in the way that he, you know, kind of I
- 2:53:48love obviously the way he on Sports Center and I've actually
- 2:53:53the way that I got introduced to him was in a steakhouse in
- 2:53:57Baltimore. We were both peeing and we kind
- 2:53:58of looked at each other and I was like hey, he's like hey, I
- 2:54:01go this is weird. So that's my Chris Berman story,
- 2:54:04but just how he made it cool, how he had just kind of that
- 2:54:07personality and and how he's done it for so long and you
- 2:54:12know, continues to stay around. It does.
- 2:54:14And there's so many that you that have catch phrases and all
- 2:54:17that, but I think it was Sports Center coming up and how long
- 2:54:20he's done it. He's just, he's one of the best.
- 2:54:21I met I met Chris Berman at a buffet line.
- 2:54:26That's dope. I'm that's How I Met John
- 2:54:28Sterling actually exact same way at a buffet line because I
- 2:54:32coached his his son. He was my like third string JV
- 2:54:36quarterback one. Year I was watching, I was I he
- 2:54:39was putting a lobster on his plates and, and I look back and,
- 2:54:44and I'm like, is that Chris Berman?
- 2:54:46I'm like, how's the lobster, Chris?
- 2:54:48He says. I'm getting my seconds right
- 2:54:50now. He went back, back, back, back,
- 2:54:54back online. Oh, he went back, back, back on
- 2:54:56something, man, because he, he was buttering that motherfucker
- 2:55:00excuse. My language how?
- 2:55:01Did we not bring up Howard Cosell in this?
- 2:55:03One yes. I thought that was going to be
- 2:55:05too easy to have. Like I was like.
- 2:55:07I brought up Muhammad. Ali And that was another one and
- 2:55:10then obviously. How about?
- 2:55:12How about Nance? Marv, Albert.
- 2:55:14Marv Albert, How about Nance? Nance is pretty good.
- 2:55:17I was going to say Nance Al Michaels, like if we were going
- 2:55:21to do duos like I was Madden, him, him and Madden, I would
- 2:55:26have been like. Duos is a good one.
- 2:55:28I'll remember that for next time.
- 2:55:30All right, Errol, who's going on to face you in?
- 2:55:33So close round. Pick Jared.
- 2:55:37He's the intern. All right, Jared, let's go.
- 2:55:40Let's. Go, Jared, why don't you pop in
- 2:55:42and pop out, see if we get that camera working real quick as we
- 2:55:45set up. Everyone else come back in for
- 2:55:48the last round where we're going to vote on who's going to be.
- 2:55:52Errol, I was going to, I was going to try and Homer you too,
- 2:55:54and maybe throw in a Bob Shepard.
- 2:55:56Yeah, I probably. If you was actually.
- 2:55:58If you pick Bob Shepard, I can't.
- 2:56:00I can't lie. I'm taking you SO.
- 2:56:02I don't know it was. Like and that that I will say
- 2:56:05that's one of the coolest things ever.
- 2:56:06Like with playing like toward like the beginning of my career
- 2:56:10was towards the end of all these like great, like Vince Scully
- 2:56:12announced my name, Bob Shepard, Charlie Steiner.
- 2:56:16Like it was really cool. Like going back as a kid that
- 2:56:19like listen to all these guys and then actually have a chance
- 2:56:23like or like on Sports Center, like have these dudes talk about
- 2:56:27like a highlight or something. It's like I I thought it was
- 2:56:31stupid back then, but now the more like the older I get is
- 2:56:34like, wow, that was really cool that they taught.
- 2:56:36Like I have no idea who the hell I probably was.
- 2:56:39But like to have them like mention your name like in a
- 2:56:41highlight is super, super cool. All right, here it is, Round
- 2:56:45three, take on the King. Best moments?
- 2:56:49Come on, Jared. In sports history, when I say
- 2:56:53moments, you can't tell me the score of a game or anything like
- 2:56:55that. Just something that happened in
- 2:56:59a game, maybe not even in a game.
- 2:57:02Some kind of moment that's indelible throughout the history
- 2:57:07of modern sports. I think this is a fun topic.
- 2:57:11Very open-ended, boys. Let's get it going.
- 2:57:15Errol as the king. Do you want to go first or
- 2:57:18second? I want to go. 1st.
- 2:57:21All right, go ahead, Errol. How could you forget this one
- 2:57:24Miracle on Ice? Who doesn't forget that one when
- 2:57:30they beat Russia or the Soviet Union, The unstoppable Soviet
- 2:57:35Union and the goal heard around the world it was and, and then
- 2:57:40just the last two minutes of the game, how they kept the Soviet
- 2:57:44Union from scoring that goal to tie the game.
- 2:57:46It was amazing. It's one of those things that
- 2:57:49you'll always remember. I'm going Miracle on Ice.
- 2:57:51I'm. Going to go with the Gibson home
- 2:57:52run in the World Series. Walking up to the play as a
- 2:57:55pinch hitter with two bad knees. The only chance that they had
- 2:57:59was him hitting a home run. He could not run the bases.
- 2:58:03Maybe the most clutch moment in all sports history.
- 2:58:05So Kirk Gibson pinch hit home run.
- 2:58:07The World Series. Errol.
- 2:58:11I'm going to go with Jackie Robertson breaking the color
- 2:58:15barrier. I mean, Jackie Robertson was the
- 2:58:19one of the more, one of the more influential guys that really
- 2:58:23stood out in baseball history and really changed the barrier
- 2:58:27and opened up the floodgates. And, and a guy that stood for
- 2:58:30everything good guy and, and his wife still pushes everything
- 2:58:35that he stood for in in baseball and, and what he's done on and
- 2:58:39off the field. So I'm going Jackie Robertson
- 2:58:41breaking the color barrier. I'm.
- 2:58:43Going to go with the 28th of three comeback in the Super
- 2:58:46Bowl. Maybe it's because I'm a Falcons
- 2:58:49hater through and through, but truly just a remarkable moment.
- 2:58:54The greatest of all time. Just take a game away.
- 2:58:57All right, let's go for our last picks, Errol.
- 2:59:01Come on, everybody knows this story shot heard around the
- 2:59:06world. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we
- 2:59:09all know Bobby Thompson. I watched a Harry.
- 2:59:12What was that? I forget what movie was it with
- 2:59:16with Bette Midler and Billy Crystal, Billy Crystal and the
- 2:59:21kid who couldn't remember anything And and he his Billy
- 2:59:25Crystal, it was his grandfather. And he was like sinking it in
- 2:59:29his head and he went up there on on the stage at the end of the
- 2:59:32movie and was mimicking everything that happened during
- 2:59:36during that game and and the home run.
- 2:59:38So I'm going to go shot her round the world.
- 2:59:43Let's. Go with the shot.
- 2:59:44Christian Leitner in the final four throwing the ball.
- 2:59:48Grant Hill, I believe, was. It Grant Hill.
- 2:59:51Throwing the ball length the court catch at the free throw
- 2:59:53line turn shoot to win a game in the final four.
- 2:59:56One of the greatest plays and marked madness history of the
- 2:59:58tournament that has so many great plays and great moments to
- 3:00:01it and that's still the one that stands the test of time is like
- 3:00:04that's the one they. Show every single time Christian
- 3:00:06Lena what a guy that should have been an NBA player and and just
- 3:00:10absolutely. Dude was on the dream.
- 3:00:12Team boy and he shouldn't have made that dream game.
- 3:00:16Did a great 97 with the Hawks. Yeah, right.
- 3:00:20What do you want me to throw up? I'm a Duke fan.
- 3:00:22I don't want to throw up. So I hate Christian Leitner doc.
- 3:00:28It's not that I hate Christian Leitner.
- 3:00:30I don't think people give Bobby Hurley a lot of credit, Grant
- 3:00:33Hill a lot of credit to Coach K with those teams.
- 3:00:37Leitner was great and Leitner had the personality to fit the
- 3:00:41person that he was. And, and I don't, I don't hate
- 3:00:44Christian Leitner. I just think that he should have
- 3:00:46been a much better NBA player. He choked and and there was a
- 3:00:50lot of pressure on him and he couldn't handle the pressure
- 3:00:52when he came into the NBA. So it's just my opinion.
- 3:00:55Well either way, I'm going with the voting here.
- 3:01:00So I just I'm scoring this 2 to one in favor of Errol.
- 3:01:04I liked the Miracle on Ice and Jackie Robinson better than the
- 3:01:08Kurt Gibson Homer and the Pats come back.
- 3:01:11But I like the Latener 1 better than the shot heard around the
- 3:01:14world. I wasn't alive for that one.
- 3:01:16I've read snippets, but the latener one I see forever and
- 3:01:21ever and ever. I agree.
- 3:01:23So I'm going 2 to one victory though for Errol.
- 3:01:26Let's go down the line. Let's go to Jabba.
- 3:01:30Yeah, I'm going to go same one. Jackie Robinson probably put it
- 3:01:33over the edge just I mean, just a moment in baseball history
- 3:01:38that is is forever synonymous with one of the greatest ever.
- 3:01:43I I do love the Leitner 1 though, too.
- 3:01:46But yeah, Jackie was just a little bit big.
- 3:01:49I it's literally, I teach the Miracle on Ice and Jackie
- 3:01:52Robinson bringing the color barrier in U.S. history class.
- 3:01:56So that's how important those two things are.
- 3:01:59I would say it's going to be hard to beat stuff like that.
- 3:02:02Speedy, how you going? Yeah.
- 3:02:04I'm definitely going out with this one.
- 3:02:05Miracle on Ice was my number one shot heard Around the World was
- 3:02:07kind of that first like big walk off you saw in World Series
- 3:02:10history. And it won them.
- 3:02:11It won them that so and Willie Mays was on deck and it was a
- 3:02:15rookie. It's like funny to think that,
- 3:02:16but Bobby Thompson was the one that did it.
- 3:02:18I do like the Leitner one too. That might have been my third
- 3:02:20one if I was going for that too. But Jackie Robinson, like
- 3:02:22obviously the historical value, he would have to go with that as
- 3:02:24well. And Sebastian, to round it out,
- 3:02:29explain your vote. I mean, I guess in a in a free
- 3:02:32country you would not have to explain the vote.
- 3:02:34But this is some kind of wack ass dictatorship what we're
- 3:02:37doing here. Well, I think since Arrow
- 3:02:41already has three votes and I got to stick with my boy Jared
- 3:02:45because he is an intern just like me, us interns have to
- 3:02:48stick together. I'm.
- 3:02:50AI did like Tom Brady pool. I was surprised I wasn't one of
- 3:02:54the first ones said in the first round.
- 3:02:56So I'm going to. Sebastian, it would have been a
- 3:02:57clean sweep. What are you doing to me?
- 3:02:59I know, I know. I hate to be the.
- 3:03:01Ones to ruin it, but I also hate to be the guy that had the
- 3:03:03chance to open their novel. All right.
- 3:03:07Well, you, Errol, you are the king.
- 3:03:10The king stays the king. You know, everyone tried to take
- 3:03:15you down a peg. It wasn't going to happen.
- 3:03:17It was, it's interesting and I, I, I think Jared is one of the
- 3:03:21more knowledgeable guys that we've had as far as interns are
- 3:03:25concerned. His takes, even the rock.
- 3:03:28You brought the rock up. I that was, that was definitely
- 3:03:30out of the back pocket. Yeah, that was out of the
- 3:03:32pocket. I I didn't expect that.
- 3:03:35And and you're not wrong. I mean, as far as stars and the
- 3:03:39transition and what he's done in the industry, you're absolutely
- 3:03:44right. So that's why I gave you the I
- 3:03:46would have probably picked you, I would have picked you any way,
- 3:03:50shape or form when it came to that anyway.
- 3:03:52So that's just my opinion. So congratulations.
- 3:03:56I thought that was your first final and very credible.
- 3:03:59I do think I swept you, but that's just me.
- 3:04:02I don't know what Sebastian's doing over.
- 3:04:03There. Oh, I think you did too.
- 3:04:05I was looking at Michael Phelps. That was something that really
- 3:04:09stood out Tiger Woods doing. I got 1 where you got the ball,
- 3:04:14get stuck to the helmet. There was this crazy play Once
- 3:04:17Upon a time. Yeah.
- 3:04:17I remember. You heard about it, Errol?
- 3:04:19Yeah, I heard about it, man. I almost just pander to y'all
- 3:04:23pick that. Yeah, if you probably would
- 3:04:25have, fish would have picked you if you did that, you would, but.
- 3:04:28I went away with that. Yeah, fish is only did the king.
- 3:04:32Not about. It's not like I've only been the
- 3:04:35king once, I've been a proxy king.
- 3:04:37Once for goodie. But you know, Jared, you know,
- 3:04:42you just got a Curry favor to the voters.
- 3:04:44That's what it's about. You've got to be a politician.
- 3:04:47I don't Curry any favoritism to anybody.
- 3:04:50I just tell you. Curry, I get it.
- 3:04:52You know, I know you don't like any of that guy.
- 3:04:54Sebastian, you'll learn very quickly.
- 3:04:56I don't hate. Why do you guys say this?
- 3:04:59I don't hate him. I think he's a great play when
- 3:05:03he is a great point guard guard. Get a Curry jersey and wear.
- 3:05:07It I'm not doing it. I do have a Curry jersey and I
- 3:05:09have worn it on the show. I have they made a mistake.
- 3:05:12So I ordered a Curry. I ordered a regular Warriors
- 3:05:16nude the 3rd and and and they gave me a Curry jersey.
- 3:05:19So I wore the Curry jersey when it was it should have been my
- 3:05:22number and my name. And then I yelled at the company
- 3:05:25and they were like, well, that's what we sent you, you little
- 3:05:27bastards. I'm never ordering nothing from
- 3:05:29you again. So that's the truth.
- 3:05:31I'm just telling the truth here, ladies and gentlemen.
- 3:05:35Anyways, we call this and you can join us too, Sebastian, we
- 3:05:39call this. What's that smell?
- 3:05:41Hold. Up What is that smell?
- 3:05:44What's that smell? Wow, you don't see that every
- 3:05:52day. Noble fisting.
- 3:05:56I love that one. That's definitely something if
- 3:05:58nobody knows what it is. I don't think Nathan knows what
- 3:06:00it is, but it's still good I having him say these things and
- 3:06:04he's got 2 noises. He know that, he's saying.
- 3:06:07He says he knows them. I don't believe it because I've
- 3:06:10asked him what double fisting is and he says you know what it is.
- 3:06:13I said no, you tell me what is it?
- 3:06:17How old is Nathan? He, Nathan, is 293030303030.
- 3:06:22He's 30 years old, I think. Yeah, he turned 30.
- 3:06:25Yep, 30 years old, Speedy's age. They're a buck button.
- 3:06:31Right. You've never been prepared for
- 3:06:33this, so we're not going to ask you to go right away or
- 3:06:36anything. He could if you want.
- 3:06:37Join in you can. How's he going to do it?
- 3:06:39He's not even know what it is. He can pick a story.
- 3:06:41Listen, all you got to do is pick any story.
- 3:06:43In sports, it's so easy. It is easy pick.
- 3:06:46I don't even know what I'm going, where I'm going.
- 3:06:49But. That's you.
- 3:06:51Sebastian, I think you're a winner and winners know how to
- 3:06:55do this. So show us and show Coach Fish
- 3:06:59that you are a winner. Sebastian, don't worry about
- 3:07:03him. Let him spit out whatever he
- 3:07:04says. There's never, there's never
- 3:07:07been a great winner that's not prepared.
- 3:07:09Look at all the great athletes. They all prepared.
- 3:07:12Thank. You not me not.
- 3:07:14Me. What's the order, Errol?
- 3:07:15All right, I'm going to Sebastian.
- 3:07:17You could join if you want. It's it's OK.
- 3:07:19I'm going to go Speedy. I'm going to go Mr. Jarrett,
- 3:07:24Fish, Sebastian, if you want to do it job of me, yeah.
- 3:07:29I mean I. Don't know what we're doing, but
- 3:07:30I'll do it. Just pick a story.
- 3:07:32Pick a story of like something you want to take a shot at a
- 3:07:35team, a player or anything like that and.
- 3:07:37It can be good or bad. Go to a bad.
- 3:07:39So for example, I'm going to go with.
- 3:07:41Using my new interns. The saga of Bill Belichick's
- 3:07:46college season still not going very well and there's many
- 3:07:48different layers to it too. But the most recent one is David
- 3:07:52Hale was the ESPN insider that said multiple anonymous
- 3:07:55offensive coordinator saying that Bill Belichick does not
- 3:07:58understand the RPO and motion offenses in college football.
- 3:08:02You see today, even these group of five schools that have these
- 3:08:05lesser known coaches, these obviously the lesser known teams
- 3:08:08are calling Belichick out on it. Meanwhile, you also have a
- 3:08:12documentary by Hulu that already got cancelled and it's going to
- 3:08:14be pushed to the end of the season.
- 3:08:15Well, like, you want to see Bill Belichick's track record of how
- 3:08:18awful this season has been. And to make matters worse, UNC
- 3:08:22alum and new Patriots quarterback Drake May was banned
- 3:08:25from anything involving the documentary just to play some
- 3:08:28petty wars at that. So what does it smell like?
- 3:08:31It smells like Robert Kraft in his spa, in his spa, smoking
- 3:08:35some of that pink cocaine that Stefan Diggs is smoking and then
- 3:08:40making out with Jordan Hudson's mother.
- 3:08:42Droba droba ass licker all. Right, Sebastian, we're just
- 3:08:47going to let you know that Speedy like his, what's it smell
- 3:08:50like always goes like to a different atmosphere.
- 3:08:54So don't try to live up to that because you'll notice that ours
- 3:08:57what it smells like way, not that.
- 3:09:00Jabba liked my shrimp cocktail. Mine's short.
- 3:09:03Mine's actually a good one. This he likes some short, very
- 3:09:05short. Dog tall I was.
- 3:09:15I was gonna. I was gonna.
- 3:09:17Well, you're you're. You're second.
- 3:09:18Alas. 510 1/2 Joke but. Yeah, figures you would go that
- 3:09:23route. Suck my indo.
- 3:09:25As I always say. Athletes.
- 3:09:28Joba is not an athlete. I'm not going to talk about Jock
- 3:09:33because I figure that's not good for my health right now.
- 3:09:36Instead, this is kind of brought to my attention by the
- 3:09:38basketball coach at the school I work at.
- 3:09:41There are a lot of professional athletes, guys with professional
- 3:09:45experience overseas or even in the States that are currently
- 3:09:48playing college basketball. Shortlist here.
- 3:09:51I got Elias Cameron Dean, who played professionally in France
- 3:09:54on the top level of French basketball last year as a
- 3:09:56rotational guy. He's at Ole Miss right now.
- 3:10:00Mioclis Abdallas played at the top Greek, one of the top Greek
- 3:10:04clubs last year. He's played in the Euro League
- 3:10:06itself for last four years. He's only 19, but he's been a
- 3:10:11professional for four years. He's playing at Virginia Tech
- 3:10:13and this worst one is this guy Lyndon Johnson, who committed to
- 3:10:18Louisville recently. He played four year in the G
- 3:10:22League. He was playing professional
- 3:10:23technically NBA level basketball and is somehow playing college
- 3:10:27basketball now because he's technically only 21 years old.
- 3:10:30So he still counts and he hasn't played NBA.
- 3:10:33What's it smell like? Because so many of these guys
- 3:10:35come from France, It smells like the French stinky cheese EPO,
- 3:10:39say, which is currently banned on public transport because it
- 3:10:42smells so bad. Yeah, that you sounded French
- 3:10:46when you said that. Oh, you start.
- 3:10:49You sounded fringe. You sounded fringe.
- 3:10:52That's the that is definitely the Nebraska Enya fringe.
- 3:10:57Fringe. Yeah, I had to have that.
- 3:10:59I just. Had to.
- 3:11:00Carl plays with himself. It's too bad Goodies not here.
- 3:11:03This one was really for him and his Orlando Magic.
- 3:11:06Drove Mercedes. Guard Desmond Bane was ejected
- 3:11:11in the third quarter. Can't.
- 3:11:13Wait, the Hawks flagrant foul on a congu, he has to go up against
- 3:11:19the center. He pulls them down by the arm
- 3:11:21and as he's going down, the ball pops up.
- 3:11:23He takes the other hand and palms the ball and spikes the
- 3:11:26ball on a congu. As he's going to the going down
- 3:11:30to the floor, he gets ejected. He loses his mind.
- 3:11:34He and this is his approach afterwards, hard foul.
- 3:11:38I mean, we talk about that. No easy baskets, nothing at the
- 3:11:42rim, make them see lights on the ceiling and hard foul.
- 3:11:47I swiped at the ball and it happened to hit him and they
- 3:11:50made the call. They made this.
- 3:11:53I love this guy. I would be so happy if Desmond
- 3:11:58Bain was on my team. It reminds me of the Bane from
- 3:12:02the Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises who thought darkness was
- 3:12:08his ally. God.
- 3:12:13Well, my. Favorite Grizzlies ever?
- 3:12:16What does it smell like? Well, in that darkness, it
- 3:12:21smells like the crap you get when you're walking home in the
- 3:12:23dark with your dog and you stepped in something and you get
- 3:12:26that whiff as soon as you step. First whiff when you step in the
- 3:12:29house and you know what you have to do and spend the next 1520
- 3:12:33minutes cleaning. That's what it smells like.
- 3:12:35Finkle is on horn, all right, Sebastian, you want to go for
- 3:12:39it. You want to.
- 3:12:40You want to knock it out of the park.
- 3:12:41You don't have to if you don't want to.
- 3:12:43I mean, I'll try my best. I mean, I would have liked to
- 3:12:45have a little bit of back. You could try try man.
- 3:12:48All good, but I'm a winger, I'm a winger.
- 3:12:50Let's go. So I'm going to go.
- 3:12:52I'll talk about someone that we mentioned earlier today, Mr.
- 3:12:55LeBron James. He's obviously he's been out
- 3:12:57this season with the injury on his own.
- 3:13:00The Lakers are six and two right now.
- 3:13:02Actually, they're playing the Spurs currently as we are live
- 3:13:05right now. They are 6 and two without them.
- 3:13:07There's rumors that they're starting to move without his
- 3:13:10knowledge because that was we all know LeBron likes to meddle
- 3:13:13in the front office. He likes to meddle with the
- 3:13:14roster. He likes they can use his team.
- 3:13:17So now the Lakers see that they can be Ballers without LeBron.
- 3:13:24Can LeBron stay with the Lakers throughout the season?
- 3:13:27Will he asked for a trade? That that's that's my story that
- 3:13:31I've been following. What does that smell like, man?
- 3:13:35It smells like Lebron's time is up, and it smells like his time
- 3:13:38is up. That's good you you went with
- 3:13:41the right angle. Yeah, that's good.
- 3:13:44That was really good. That's not bad.
- 3:13:46I thought you were going to say like, you know, like the garbage
- 3:13:50with all the wasted food at Bronies, Sweet Sixteens, you
- 3:13:53know, something or other. But you know.
- 3:13:58The best one in this game, Bronny tried to guard women Yama
- 3:14:02and he literally like women Yama body brownie up.
- 3:14:06I got to go find that. That's saying a lot.
- 3:14:10All right, I think you're up Java.
- 3:14:11Mine's a good one and I, I think, you know, obviously we,
- 3:14:14we usually go on the smelly side and then the really integral
- 3:14:20deep dotted smelly side with Speedy.
- 3:14:22But I thought something was really cool.
- 3:14:24It's never been done in sports where a father and a son called
- 3:14:29a World Series for the first time ever and Dan Shulman and
- 3:14:32Ben Shulman and radio and TV and they got to do it together for
- 3:14:36the first time ever. It father and son.
- 3:14:38You can you can say that that's never been done and something
- 3:14:41that you know your kid gets into profession that you always do
- 3:14:44and then you end up getting to do a World Series with him.
- 3:14:47So what's that smell that smells like?
- 3:14:49Hard work, dedication and being as a father myself, a damn proud
- 3:14:54dad, to be able to work alongside your son and, and call
- 3:14:57something they didn't go their way, but had to be a proud
- 3:15:00moment as a father. That to watch that and see it
- 3:15:03and get a call a game on the booth next to him for for where
- 3:15:08you're from and and to see it all in front and through your
- 3:15:12son's eyes and your own eyes, which is pretty cool.
- 3:15:14I got to go back off now all. Right.
- 3:15:17And now my what's that smell? It has to go to a game, a
- 3:15:22surprise game on Sunday and, well, a fine.
- 3:15:27It wasn't a suspension. It was a fine.
- 3:15:29Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdell was fined by the
- 3:15:33NFL for his actions during a touchdown celebration in in
- 3:15:37Sunday's 16 to 13 upset of the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau
- 3:15:42Field. Dowdell announced the fine via
- 3:15:44social media on Wednesday night. He also posted he has partnered
- 3:15:49with GoFundMe to use his fine money for charity and his agent
- 3:15:57came out and said the fine was 14,400 91 dollars.
- 3:16:04See, that's the stupidest thing ever.
- 3:16:06Where did this number come from? I don't know, I guess I got to
- 3:16:10go. I, we got to reach out to his
- 3:16:12agent, David Cantor. Maybe he'll tell us.
- 3:16:14I have no idea. But I it it it from one bad
- 3:16:19thing turns into good. And I, I love what dad, you
- 3:16:23know, the fact that he is taking the bad and putting it into good
- 3:16:27for a GoFundMe, you know, for, for people and charity.
- 3:16:31I think that's, that's a great story.
- 3:16:33So you know what it smells like? It smells like Speedy's moth
- 3:16:37ball sweater getting sprayed down with some Axe spray and
- 3:16:42giving it a better scent because man, oh man, it is a horrible
- 3:16:46grandmother smell to it. So that's what it smells like.
- 3:16:49So you like that, Speedy, You know, you want me to get you
- 3:16:53some Axe spray? No, I mean, I'm going to get you
- 3:16:56a. You can get him something better
- 3:16:57than Axe, Come on. I'll give him Cologne, but he's
- 3:17:00never going to wear it. I have Cologne.
- 3:17:04Well, spray it down, man. Smells like mothballs.
- 3:17:11You do look good in that white shirt.
- 3:17:12I can't lie to you. I mean, that is mine.
- 3:17:14You can't steal that. I wasn't planning on it.
- 3:17:17You could have it. You could have.
- 3:17:18It that's the extra medium. No, actually, it's an extra
- 3:17:21large, SO I wear extra large T-shirts.
- 3:17:26So I'm just so you know. Anyways, yeah, that Rico Dattle
- 3:17:31story was just obnoxious. For the NFL to do something to a
- 3:17:34player that's one of the hottest plays right now in football and
- 3:17:38he's doing. Used to have two pumps.
- 3:17:40You're supposed to be able to do 2 pumps, not three.
- 3:17:42I get he only gave 2 and they find him.
- 3:17:44That's wrong. That's wrong.
- 3:17:45That doesn't make any sense. But you know, it's the NFL and
- 3:17:48that's why he's using it for good.
- 3:17:51And I like that. By Rico and Boyle, oh, boy, are
- 3:17:55the Cowboys shaking their heads because this guy is becoming a
- 3:17:59star under, you know, under a new tutelage.
- 3:18:03So I like it. I like the story.
- 3:18:05It's a good one. Anyways, that's it.
- 3:18:08Thank you for all the fans. Thank you to our new intern,
- 3:18:12Sebastian, for joining us and giving his takes.
- 3:18:15I mean, look at that. I mean, home run with what's
- 3:18:18that smell? I can't lie to you.
- 3:18:20Thank you to a former 14 year NBA referee and author of the
- 3:18:25book that we've been promoting, Personal Foul, Tim Donaghy for
- 3:18:29joining us. He was fantastic.
- 3:18:31He really gave us his take and it was a great get and I thought
- 3:18:35it was a great interview. It really was.
- 3:18:36It was sensational. He really gave us what we were
- 3:18:39looking for. And he wants to knock out David
- 3:18:41Stern. If David Stern was still alive,
- 3:18:43that would be something I would set up.
- 3:18:45I would be the referee of that match.
- 3:18:47I would love it. And then I asked him if he was
- 3:18:51the judge of this particular case with Chauncey Phillips, Mr.
- 3:18:58you know, Mr. Rozier and Mr. Jones, what would you do to him?
- 3:19:02And, and you heard what he said. You got to listen to the
- 3:19:04interview if you want to know what his thoughts was to that.
- 3:19:07I don't think he's ever had a question like that before.
- 3:19:10And it was pretty funny. And he actually smirked.
- 3:19:14I got him to smirk. He straight face the whole time.
- 3:19:18I finally got him to smirk. So it's a good thing.
- 3:19:21So and and he'll come on the show again.
- 3:19:23I'm going to get his book and I'm going to read his book and
- 3:19:25and we'll go in the outs of the book.
- 3:19:27It was a great show. Thank you to all the fans
- 3:19:29following us on Spotify and Apple, a obviously YouTube.
- 3:19:34Yeah, we're growing on all the social medias while on Reddit to
- 3:19:38jab in the mouth and we have all our stories on Reddit right now
- 3:19:42and it's actually growing. It's it's really, really good.
- 3:19:45Go check out my stories, my Joel and beat stories sensational.
- 3:19:47I'm not lying to you. It's funny.
- 3:19:49It's definitely my humor. If you you like the humor on
- 3:19:52this show, you definitely have to read the stories.
- 3:19:54They're they're they are funny. I put a lot of time into it.

- 3:20:05hear my beanbag thoughts to John Tavares, you definitely got to
- 3:20:10read that story as well as Speedy was laughing to it the
- 3:20:12whole time. Speedy, You like that one,
- 3:20:14right? Speedy?
- 3:20:16Yeah. Yeah, well, speak up, man.
- 3:20:17What's wrong with you? You have a thumb up your wrist.
- 3:20:19I'm trying to not to spoil it for them.
- 3:20:20Well, they gotta read it. They have to read it.
- 3:20:23Yeah, they gotta read it. And anyways, yeah, it's been a
- 3:20:26great one. Speedy, who do we have on
- 3:20:28Monday? All right, returning to the show
- 3:20:29is the daughter of Jack Burke. We just had on last week.
- 3:20:33And Ally Burke, She is a singer. She's a pop singer.
- 3:20:35Can we get her to sing on the show?
- 3:20:37You can try. Could I?
- 3:20:39Could I be a backup singer? So Jabba, the last time we had
- 3:20:42her on was before you were with us.
- 3:20:44She actually sang the national anthem at many different MLB
- 3:20:47ballparks. And coming up, November 6,
- 3:20:49Buffalo Bills, you'll be singing at the Buffalo Bills game.
- 3:20:53Yeah. And, and Ally's first of all,
- 3:20:56she's a big Josh Allen fan. So this is something that she's
- 3:21:00probably going to be like, oh, you know, like I would do.
- 3:21:04Yeah. I mean, if I was a Josh Allen
- 3:21:05fan. I am a Josh Allen fan, by the
- 3:21:06way. But I I did get a jersey.
- 3:21:08I can't lie to you guys. But tonight I'm a Danny Dimes
- 3:21:12fan as Danny D is rocking all night long, Speedy, Sing it all
- 3:21:18night long. Come on, sing it, Speedy.
- 3:21:20Come on, come on, come on. That's the best.
- 3:21:28I mean, who? Who can?
- 3:21:30There you go. A little rat, rat attack right
- 3:21:33there, baby. Delicious, edible.
- 3:21:35And I don't know why he's has his tongue out.
- 3:21:38I don't know why. And my face is like deformed.
- 3:21:41Like what the hell is that? Am I growing like an?
- 3:21:45Extra That's good. That's that's a good.
- 3:21:48One that's pretty close. Pretty close.
- 3:21:50Yeah, it's really. Close.
- 3:21:51My face is not deformed. Come on.
- 3:21:54It's a cartoon version of you. Yeah, I guess I I'm not a big
- 3:21:59fan of it so, but you can, you can tell it's fantastic.
- 3:22:03Well, thank you, Jabba. Because it's not some bald head
- 3:22:076 foot three, you know, Blue. Go whale.
- 3:22:11You know, I'm just kidding anyways.
- 3:22:17Give me that chicken Curry. I could use some chicken Curry
- 3:22:19right now or something because I'm a pretty hungry and maybe
- 3:22:23Applebee's some half. Price you never.
- 3:22:25Eat chicken Curry. No, I wouldn't.

- 3:22:41We we we can make it. But yeah, thank you to the fans.
- 3:22:45Anything on Wednesday Yes, we do have 8:45.
- 3:22:48I don't know if you faced him Jabba.
- 3:22:49He was a little came in the league a little after you joined
- 3:22:52Logan. Logan Morrison yes, he played
- 3:22:54with the Marlins, the this Mariners.
- 3:22:56I think he might have faced him maybe in the American League
- 3:22:58later on with the Rays as well. So maybe you faced him a little
- 3:23:00bit, but. Mostly, he's a He's an
- 3:23:02interesting bird. Yes.
- 3:23:04Aren't we all? Aren't we all?
- 3:23:06Including he's, he's, he's there, there.
- 3:23:09No. So let's bird away, speedy.
- 3:23:11Give me a 11 sound before we go. Give me like a bird sound.

- 3:23:21Solid right there. Wow, that was that was good
- 3:23:25Speedy. That was, I'm losing myself, you
- 3:23:28know, I might have lost some. Something probably popped out a
- 3:23:32little bit, you know, a little turtle head.
- 3:23:33Anyways, that's it for a show. We'll talk to you next week.
- 3:23:35Good night everybody. You're listening to the
- 3:23:38Worldwide Sports Radio Network.
