What Jes Staley Told Congress About Jeffrey Epstein’s Assistant · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Over the past few years, we've been talking
• 0:07
Speaker 1: about Jess Staley and his so-called consensual encounter with one
• 0:11
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein's assistants. And while we don't know the
• 0:14
Speaker 1: name of that assistant, when you start putting two and
• 0:18
Speaker 1: two together, it certainly sounds like it's Sarah Kellen Vickers. Now,
• 0:22
Speaker 1: is it Sarah Kellen Vickers? I don't know. I want
• 0:24
Speaker 1: to be very clear about that. But when you start
• 0:27
Speaker 1: putting the pieces together, and you hear Jess Daly's story,
• 0:31
Speaker 1: that's what it sounds like to me. Especially considering he
• 0:35
Speaker 1: says he went to her townhouse. Who else had a townhouse?
• 0:38
Speaker 1: I mean, maybe it was Nadia, but I'm thinking all
• 0:41
Speaker 1: the signs point to Sarah Kellen Vickers. And if that's
• 0:46
Speaker 1: the case, didn't Sarah say that she's a victim? So
• 0:49
Speaker 1: wouldn't that mean that Jess Daly had relations with a
• 0:53
Speaker 1: trafficking victim? And it also makes me wonder if this woman...
• 0:59
Speaker 1: is the Snow White that we heard about in those emails.
• 1:02
Speaker 1: So today, we have an article from the New York Post,
• 1:05
Speaker 1: and then later on, obviously, we're going to dive in
• 1:08
Speaker 1: to the transcripts from that deposition. But first things first,
• 1:13
Speaker 1: this article was published by the New York Post and
• 1:15
Speaker 1: the headline, Ex-Barclays Chief Jess Daly Details His Intimate Encounter
• 1:20
Speaker 1: With Jeffrey Epstein's Assistant to House Investigators. This article was
• 1:25
Speaker 1: authored by Victor Nava. Former Barclays CEO Jess Daly described
• 1:31
Speaker 1: one sexual encounter he claims he had with an assistant
• 1:34
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein as consensual in an interview with congressional
• 1:39
Speaker 1: investigators last month. And this is going to be bad
• 1:42
Speaker 1: for him. Now, I don't know if he's going to
• 1:45
Speaker 1: be investigated as far as criminally, but this is not good.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: And if I was a betting man, I would say
• 1:52
Speaker 1: that there's probably some lawsuits coming his way. She was
• 1:57
Speaker 1: an assistant to Jeffrey Epstein. And I met her at
• 2:00
Speaker 1: his townhouse, Staley told the House Oversight Committee, according to
• 2:04
Speaker 1: a transcript released on Wednesday. We met and began to
• 2:08
Speaker 1: have a dialogue and it turned flirtatious. And we met
• 2:11
Speaker 1: and had one intimate encounter, the ex-Barclays chief acknowledged. I
• 2:15
Speaker 1: don't believe that. Only one encounter? Sure, buddy. How many
• 2:20
Speaker 1: other encounters did you have while you were hanging out
• 2:23
Speaker 1: with your buddy Epstein? That's the real question. And of course,
• 2:27
Speaker 1: we're not going to get any answers to that. Staley
• 2:31
Speaker 1: was brought in by the House panel after the Justice
• 2:34
Speaker 1: Department Epstein file showed that Staley exchanged some 1,200 communications
• 2:39
Speaker 1: with Epstein between 2008 and 2012. There's no denying how
• 2:44
Speaker 1: close these two dudes were. We're talking almost best friends.
• 2:50
Speaker 1: And there wasn't a financial move that was made by
• 2:53
Speaker 1: Epstein during this period that Jeff Staley wasn't involved in
• 2:58
Speaker 1: when it comes to J.P. Morgan. just about everything Epstein
• 3:02
Speaker 1: was up to, J.P. Morgan had a hand in. And
• 3:06
Speaker 1: of course, his guy at J.P. Morgan was Jess Staley.
• 3:13
Speaker 1: And Jess Staley, he certainly utilized the quote-unquote perks from
• 3:18
Speaker 1: his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, didn't he? Using Epstein's house,
• 3:23
Speaker 1: and according to him, his assistants. At the time Staley
• 3:27
Speaker 1: was head of J.P. Morgan's private bank, And Epstein was
• 3:31
Speaker 1: one of his clients. Staley was adamant that the sexual
• 3:34
Speaker 1: encounter with the woman, whose name is redacted in the transcript,
• 3:38
Speaker 1: was consensual and not set up by Epstein. Oh no,
• 3:41
Speaker 1: not at all. I'm sure Epstein didn't tell, insert woman here,
• 3:45
Speaker 1: you better make sure that you take care of my
• 3:47
Speaker 1: boy Jess. Do we really think that didn't happen? Do
• 3:52
Speaker 1: we think that, you know, Glenn Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein
• 3:55
Speaker 1: weren't telling these girls that in private? Oh, they most
• 3:58
Speaker 1: certainly were. They most certainly were. And this is exactly
• 4:02
Speaker 1: how Jeffrey Epstein would ingratiate himself to people like Jess Daly.
• 4:06
Speaker 1: Now he has something on Jess Daly. Because what, you
• 4:09
Speaker 1: don't think? Whoever the girl was told Jeffrey Epstein what
• 4:12
Speaker 1: was happening? She did. And Jeffrey Epstein, you better believe
• 4:18
Speaker 1: he booked that shit, put it in a dossier, and
• 4:20
Speaker 1: hid it away for later. The banker claims that the woman,
• 4:26
Speaker 1: who he said was in her 20s or 30s, invited
• 4:29
Speaker 1: him up to her Upper East Side apartment in New
• 4:32
Speaker 1: York one morning in 2009 or 2010. Now, mind you,
• 4:36
Speaker 1: Epstein was already convicted, right? So you have Jess Staley
• 4:41
Speaker 1: going over to a convicted sex offender's house, meeting a
• 4:45
Speaker 1: woman or girl, whatever you want to call it, and
• 4:48
Speaker 1: then going over to her house for an encounter. How
• 4:51
Speaker 1: about a little bit of discernment? How about a little
• 4:54
Speaker 1: bit of better judgment? How about A trip to the FBI.
• 5:01
Speaker 1: I think we talked. I believe we were sitting on
• 5:03
Speaker 1: our couch together while we talked, and one thing led
• 5:06
Speaker 1: to another, and we had an intimate engagement, Staley testified. Hey, look,
• 5:10
Speaker 1: I don't care who does what. As long as everybody's consenting,
• 5:13
Speaker 1: have at it. You want to be the biggest freak
• 5:17
Speaker 1: amongst the most freaks? I don't care. Doesn't affect my life.
• 5:22
Speaker 1: The beef here isn't that Jess Staley was out looking
• 5:24
Speaker 1: for some trim. The beef here is that Jess Staley
• 5:28
Speaker 1: had relations with the girl who was being trafficked. That's
• 5:30
Speaker 1: the problem. My recollection is, she invited me into her bedroom.
• 5:36
Speaker 1: He said when pressed about how he knew that the
• 5:39
Speaker 1: encounter was consensual. Oh, did you sign a consent form?
• 5:43
Speaker 1: Did she? Isn't that the way things go these days?
• 5:46
Speaker 1: Staley claimed that the woman invited him over months after
• 5:49
Speaker 1: they first met at Epstein's residence, and that they crossed
• 5:53
Speaker 1: paths up to a dozen times before and after, but
• 5:55
Speaker 1: only had the one sexual encounter. which he said he
• 5:58
Speaker 1: never told Epstein about, you can rest assured she did.
• 6:04
Speaker 1: If you think that this woman, whoever it was, didn't
• 6:07
Speaker 1: go back and tell Jeffrey Epstein, you have not been
• 6:09
Speaker 1: paying attention. That was part of the hustle. That was
• 6:14
Speaker 1: part of the deal. And when these women would be
• 6:17
Speaker 1: coerced and, you know, brought into Jeffrey Epstein's machine, they knew.
• 6:23
Speaker 1: And believe me, it wasn't every single woman. He had
• 6:27
Speaker 1: specified people to do specified things. And when he was
• 6:30
Speaker 1: looking to really entrap somebody, really get somebody locked in.
• 6:34
Speaker 1: And that's exactly what he did when it comes to
• 6:37
Speaker 1: people like Jess Daly. Because once Jess Daly had relations
• 6:40
Speaker 1: with insert woman here. Well, now Epstein has that over
• 6:44
Speaker 1: his head, right? Even if he says he didn't tell Epstein.
• 6:47
Speaker 1: Do you really think that Jeffrey Epstein didn't know? The
• 6:51
Speaker 1: ex-Barclays chief said he was not aware if Epstein had
• 6:54
Speaker 1: ever instructed women to have sex with his associates. Oh no,
• 6:58
Speaker 1: not at all. You guys never talked about that. You
• 7:00
Speaker 1: guys never talked about Beauty and the Beast, or Snow White,
• 7:03
Speaker 1: or any of the other stuff. Jess Staley, you're a liar, okay?
• 7:08
Speaker 1: Is that clear enough? Is that straightforward enough? You're a liar,
• 7:12
Speaker 1: and I don't believe anything you're saying. When informed by
• 7:15
Speaker 1: an investigator that the woman had sued Mr. Epstein for
• 7:18
Speaker 1: sexual abuse and settled with his estate, Staley indicated that
• 7:22
Speaker 1: he had no knowledge of Epstein, having ever abused his assistants. Wow. Really?
• 7:28
Speaker 1: The smartest man in the room, huh? Jeff Staley, who's
• 7:31
Speaker 1: been around Jeffrey Epstein his whole life, basically. Whole professional life.
• 7:35
Speaker 1: But he had no idea that that's what was going on.
• 7:39
Speaker 1: Does anyone believe that? And how the fuck does Congress
• 7:42
Speaker 1: accept it? Imagine sitting there in that room as a
• 7:46
Speaker 1: congressman or woman and not smacking the hammer down on
• 7:50
Speaker 1: this dude. I would have held him in contempt 17
• 7:54
Speaker 1: ways to Sunday. And I would have referred him to
• 7:57
Speaker 1: the Justice Department the second he walked out of that room.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: The House panel also grilled Staley about whether he had
• 8:05
Speaker 1: ever seen a woman dressed as Snow White at Epstein's
• 8:08
Speaker 1: residence or had sex with a woman in the Disney
• 8:11
Speaker 1: character costume. Staley insisted that he did not recall ever
• 8:15
Speaker 1: seeing a woman in a Snow White costume before. at
• 8:18
Speaker 1: Epstein's place and was adamant that he did not have
• 8:20
Speaker 1: sex with a woman in such an outfit. So what
• 8:23
Speaker 1: about the email? What does that even mean then? I
• 8:28
Speaker 1: know you and your boy weren't sitting around having Disney
• 8:31
Speaker 1: night on the island. Well, unless it has to do
• 8:34
Speaker 1: with you know what. But besides that, stop it. The
• 8:40
Speaker 1: files released by the DOJ show that Staley wrote to
• 8:43
Speaker 1: Epstein on July 9th, 2010. Maybe they're tracking you. That
• 8:46
Speaker 1: was fun. Say hi to Snow White. So can we
• 8:50
Speaker 1: have an explanation for that, please? I'm guessing he doesn't
• 8:54
Speaker 1: have a quality explanation, but let's see what he has
• 8:58
Speaker 1: to say. What character would you like next? Asked Epstein
• 9:03
Speaker 1: in response to the following day. Beauty and the Beast,
• 9:06
Speaker 1: Daly said. Imagine being this depraved. Yeah, let's, you know,
• 9:11
Speaker 1: molest girls. Let's abuse women. But first, why don't we
• 9:15
Speaker 1: dress them like Disney characters? Fucking depraved. And anybody getting
• 9:21
Speaker 1: down with this sort of shit is just a sick degenerate.
• 9:25
Speaker 1: Now again, don't get it confused. I don't mean consensually.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: If you want to dress like Snow White, and you
• 9:31
Speaker 1: want your dude to dress like the Seven Dwarves, one
• 9:34
Speaker 1: of the Seven Dwarves, or all of them, I don't care. Hell,
• 9:37
Speaker 1: if you want to have Seven Dwarves come over, and
• 9:39
Speaker 1: you guys all get it on, I don't care. As
• 9:42
Speaker 1: long as you guys all consent. To which Epstein replied, well,
• 9:47
Speaker 1: one side is available. Another unidentified person emailed Epstein on
• 9:51
Speaker 1: July 10th, 2010. The Snow White was fucked twice as
• 9:55
Speaker 1: soon as she put on her costume. During his appearance
• 9:58
Speaker 1: before the committee, the trans shows investigators provided Staley with
• 10:02
Speaker 1: a photograph Epstein emailed to her redacted name on July 11,
• 10:07
Speaker 1: 2010 of a young woman in a Snow White costume. Oh,
• 10:10
Speaker 1: he had no idea what that was though, right? Well,
• 10:13
Speaker 1: I don't know. We just talked about that. That never
• 10:16
Speaker 1: really happened. Staley said he didn't know the woman in
• 10:20
Speaker 1: the costume and maintained that he did not recall ever
• 10:23
Speaker 1: seeing that person with Epstein. Look, I don't know how
• 10:27
Speaker 1: much clearer I need to be about Jeff Staley. This dude,
• 10:31
Speaker 1: he should be indicted. And not only for his stupidity
• 10:35
Speaker 1: when it comes to one of Epstein's quote-unquote assistants. What
• 10:39
Speaker 1: about all the financial malfeasance that was occurring under his watch?
• 10:43
Speaker 1: Does that not matter? Does that not mean anything? Well,
• 10:48
Speaker 1: It might not mean anything to the authorities, but it
• 10:50
Speaker 1: certainly means something to the population at large. And that's why,
• 10:53
Speaker 1: once again, I'm calling on Congress to refer Jess Staley
• 10:58
Speaker 1: to the DOJ. Because if Jess Staley isn't worthy of
• 11:01
Speaker 1: an indictment here, then who the hell is? All the
• 11:06
Speaker 1: information that goes with this episode can be found in
• 11:09
  Speaker 1: the description box.
