- 0:01Devotion is not something measured externally by how an
- 0:05individual's sings dances, praise or manifest, various
- 0:10signs such as speaking in tongues, although any one of
- 0:14these activities May indeed be expressions of a deep in her
- 0:18devotion. The measure of devotion is one
- 0:23that reflects the internal state of the Seeker.
- 0:27It may be expressive and effusive or it may be totally in
- 0:31drawn and bring the Seeker into a state of ecstatic.
- 0:36Contemplation, devotion is an out flowering of the Soul.
- 0:42Not an expression of vital enthusiasm.
- 0:46We can find examples of devotion in virtually, all the spiritual
- 0:50and religious, traditions of the world notable, examples, include
- 0:55anandamayi, Ma and Hildegard of bingen.
- 0:59Although many more could be cited if we review their lives
- 1:04and their own Expressions about their relation to the Divine, we
- 1:08can find the thread that leads us to the experience.
- 1:13And eventually the status of divine Of bhakti, which is the
- 1:19Fulfillment of spiritual surrender to the Divine.
- 1:23By the individual, for those individuals who naturally follow
- 1:28the path of devotion, the process involves coming in
- 1:32contact with the psychic being in the Mystic Heart Center and
- 1:36allowing it to come forward and express the attitudes of
- 1:41aspiration adoration gratitude compassion.
- 1:46Passion love and self giving which are natural to the psychic
- 1:51being SRI aurobindo notes. Quote, the very object of yoga
- 1:58is a change of Consciousness. It Is by getting a new
- 2:02Consciousness, or by unveiling the hidden consciousness of the
- 2:06true being within and progressively manifesting and
- 2:10perfecting it. That one gets, first the
- 2:13contact, and then the Union with the divine.
- 2:18Anand and bhakti are part of that deeper Consciousness and it
- 2:24is only when one lives in it and grows in it, that Ananda and
- 2:28bhakti can be permanent till then one can only get
- 2:33experiences of Ananda and bhakti.
- 2:37But not the constant and permanent state, but the state
- 2:41of bhakti and constantly growing surrender does not come to all
- 2:46at an early stage of the sadhna. Many most indeed have a long
- 2:52journey of purification and to Pasha to go through before it
- 2:57opened and experiences of this kind at first rare and
- 3:02interspersed afterwards frequent are the landmarks of their
- 3:07progress. It depends on certain conditions
- 3:12which have nothing to do with Superior, or inferior yoga
- 3:16capacity. But rather, with a
- 3:19predisposition in the heart to open, as you say to the son of
- 3:25the Divine influence, in quote, reference SRI aurobindo in the
- 3:32mother growing within the psychology of inner development.
