- 1:37Speaker 3: All right, coming up on the show, first of all,
- 1:39Speaker 3: I hope everybody had a great weekend. Coming up a
- 1:42Speaker 3: little bit later on the show, former Charleston meir Danny
- 1:44Speaker 3: Jones is going to stop. I got several things I
- 1:47Speaker 3: want to talk to Danny about, including I think of
- 1:51Speaker 3: the date was June sixth. It was the anniversary of
- 1:54Speaker 3: one of the more infamous, infamous events in the history
- 1:58Speaker 3: of Canawa County, the famous, the famed, the infamous, as
- 2:00Speaker 3: I said, Ganawha County pot plane crash. So I want
- 2:05Speaker 3: to get into that a little bit with Danny. Also,
- 2:08Speaker 3: of course, Danny always has an eye on what's going
- 2:10Speaker 3: on in a news situation with Trump versus Musk. We'll
- 2:13Speaker 3: get into that. And also, I mean, what's the horrific
- 2:17Speaker 3: scenes that we're playing out on your television or online
- 2:19Speaker 3: last night and what's going on in Los Angeles right now,
- 2:22Speaker 3: So we'll get Danny's take on that. Also coming up
- 2:24Speaker 3: a little bit later on the show. Secretary of State
- 2:26Speaker 3: Chris Warner is here. Tomorrow is Super Tuesday across the
- 2:31Speaker 3: state of West Virginia. In the first two weeks of June,
- 2:35Speaker 3: there were a total of one hundred and four municipal
- 2:39Speaker 3: elections across the state of West Virginia, and Secretary Warner
- 2:43Speaker 3: is going to talk about that. He's also at Boys
- 2:45Speaker 3: State and Girls State one today one tomorrow, so we'll
- 2:48Speaker 3: get his take on that. And of course, your calls
- 2:51Speaker 3: and text are always welcome. Big Ley Pigley Wiggly Hotline

- 2:56Speaker 3: Toty of the Taylor Texts three zero four nine three
- 2:59Speaker 3: five five zero zero eight. Couple things in the news.
- 3:02Speaker 3: First of all, the state baseball tournament now with the books.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Congratulations to Hurricane Redskins, Ripley, Viking's a couple of local
- 3:08Speaker 3: teams that won championships. Now we now go into that
- 3:12Speaker 3: weird holding pattern, if you will, for sports until we
- 3:16Speaker 3: start talking football at the start of August. To be
- 3:19Speaker 3: good for our sports department to get a little time
- 3:21Speaker 3: off because they have been running ragged between the softball
- 3:24Speaker 3: tournaments and the baseball tournament and so on and so forth.
- 3:27Speaker 3: And speaking of sports, I guess the Cinderella season for
- 3:32Speaker 3: the Mouth of Air baseball team came to an end
- 3:34Speaker 3: last night at the hands of LSU and the Super Regional.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Second straight year. Though that the Mountaineers made it to
- 3:40Speaker 3: the Super Regional first time. I think I heard Kyle
- 3:42Speaker 3: say this morning that's the first time the Dad's happened
- 3:43Speaker 3: in program history. So all in all, a great season
- 3:47Speaker 3: for the mounth and Aer baseball team. But LSU man,
- 3:50Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not a big college baseball guy. I
- 3:52Speaker 3: watch it from time to time. LSU is just there's
- 3:55Speaker 3: something else, and the Mountaineers just overpowered by LSU both
- 3:59Speaker 3: on Saturday and then that late gay later game last night.
- 4:03Speaker 3: But again, overall, great season for the mountain Here baseball team.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Something in the news too. Brad mclhanny has a story
- 4:12Speaker 3: posted on the website. You may able to check out.
- 4:13Speaker 3: The headline is West Virginia ranks forty first in child
- 4:19Speaker 3: well being. We actually did move up though, from forty
- 4:25Speaker 3: fourth to forty first, so we got that going for us.
- 4:30Speaker 3: This comes from something called the Kids Count Data Book,
- 4:35Speaker 3: and it's basically a fifty states report of data developed
- 4:41Speaker 3: by the Anni E. Casey Foundation taking a look at
- 4:45Speaker 3: kids and kids' issues. So we went from forty fourth
- 4:49Speaker 3: to forty first in that. And in case you're keeping
- 4:54Speaker 3: score at home, some other numbers we are as far
- 4:57Speaker 3: as it comes to kids, we are thirty and economic
- 5:02Speaker 3: well being for the kids, thirty ninth in health, which
- 5:08Speaker 3: I'm gonna be honest with you, that wouldn't kind of
- 5:10Speaker 3: surprise me. I thought we would do a little worse
- 5:13Speaker 3: than that. But we're thirty nine and thirty second in
- 5:19Speaker 3: something that is called family and community context, and forty
- 5:27Speaker 3: fifth in education. It's really a fascinating story. There's some
- 5:31Speaker 3: quotes on Brad's story from Kelly Allen No Relation that
- 5:37Speaker 3: talks about this, and of course you know how it is.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Folks with numbers, everybody's going to be able to manipulate them. Well,
- 5:43Speaker 3: it means that the Republicans are screwing up. Well, they've
- 5:45Speaker 3: actually gone up under the Republicans and what they were
- 5:47Speaker 3: in the Democrats. So you know, I'm not going to
- 5:49Speaker 3: get into that because you can take the numbers, you
- 5:51Speaker 3: can make them read whatever you want. But again, we're
- 5:53Speaker 3: not great that overall in forty first, but we are
- 5:57Speaker 3: up from forty fourth, so positive new positive note there,
- 6:04Speaker 3: I guess you can check out Brad's story about it
- 6:05Speaker 3: over at wv Metronews dot com. Todave Island Showing five

- 6:18Speaker 3: Metro News Midday coming up at noon today thirteen News
- 6:21Speaker 3: and Tonight Live anchor Amanda Barron is back today. It's
- 6:23Speaker 3: a Monday, which means we are going to introduce you
- 6:26Speaker 3: to another great mayor from around the state of West
- 6:29Speaker 3: Virginia on the Mayor Monday segment. Also from the Humanities
- 6:34Speaker 3: Council of West Virginia, Eric Wagner, is going to join us.
- 6:36Speaker 3: We're going to be keeping a close eye on the
- 6:38Speaker 3: weather too, because yet again it looks like West Virginia
- 6:42Speaker 3: is in for some severe weather certain parts of the
- 6:44Speaker 3: state anyway, including the Kanawa Valley sometime as you head
- 6:47Speaker 3: home late this afternoon. We had a couple of good
- 6:50Speaker 3: days runs, you know, with weather last week, but we
- 6:54Speaker 3: did have some severe weather over the weekend. There was
- 6:56Speaker 3: actually some flooding in parts of West Virginia. I think
- 6:59Speaker 3: Bridgeport was one of those areas. Looked like in the
- 7:01Speaker 3: pictures I saw posted online that they really got hammered
- 7:04Speaker 3: late late Saturday night. I think it was. And we
- 7:07Speaker 3: had a couple of big showers here in the kanawh
- 7:09Speaker 3: Valley yesterday and a couple of cool looking rainbows as well.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I'm not sure that that had anything to do with
- 7:16Speaker 3: the event in Charleston on Saturday. That's just a it's
- 7:19Speaker 3: a phenomenon of mother nature, if you will. So again,
- 7:24Speaker 3: we have thirteen News Tonight Live anchor Mander Baron and
- 7:27Speaker 3: myself coming up with Metro News Midday powered by a
- 7:29Speaker 3: Selingo Law coming up today noon to three on this
- 7:32Speaker 3: and other Metro news stations from around the state of
- 7:34Speaker 3: West Virginia. Also, do want to mention coming up on
- 7:37Speaker 3: tomorrows show, Dick Daddry is going to join us. He's
- 7:40Speaker 3: the executive director of the Kanawha Valley Fellowship Home that
- 7:44Speaker 3: is coming up on tomorrow's show. One other note, I
- 7:47Speaker 3: didn't want to pass along. You've heard me on this
- 7:51Speaker 3: show talk about how social media, in my opinion, has,
- 7:57Speaker 3: in my opinion, has has made a a much angrier,
- 8:03Speaker 3: angrier group overall, whether it's Republican, Democrat, liberal, conservative, or whatever.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Our good friend TJ. Meadows hosted talk Line co host
- 8:15Speaker 3: and I'm gonna be talking to TJ a little bit
- 8:16Speaker 3: later on the show. Our good friend TJ. Meadows was
- 8:19Speaker 3: following quite extensively this situation in Los Angeles where President
- 8:25Speaker 3: Trump has sent in the FEDS federal troops in there,
- 8:30Speaker 3: much to the chagrin of the governor of the state
- 8:33Speaker 3: of California and also the mayor of the city of
- 8:36Speaker 3: Los Angeles. Got I mean, it seems to be from
- 8:39Speaker 3: what I heard on ABC News this morning, it seems
- 8:41Speaker 3: to be a little bit calmer now than what it was.
- 8:44Speaker 3: But I mean over the weekend, I mean, you saw
- 8:46Speaker 3: the pictures. If you turned on the TV or you
- 8:48Speaker 3: picked up your phone and perused in social media, you
- 8:51Speaker 3: saw how bad it was. There, but TJ got into
- 8:54Speaker 3: a discussion about it on social media, and I normally
- 9:01Speaker 3: I don't comment on things like that. I may post
- 9:03Speaker 3: something on my own page, but normally on a fellow
- 9:06Speaker 3: broadcaster or felt a newsperson's page, I normally don't comment.
- 9:10Speaker 3: I save it for my own page.
- 9:11Speaker 5: But there was.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Something, and I'll spare you the details, but there was
- 9:14Speaker 3: something that was said on TJ's page, and I made
- 9:19Speaker 3: a comment about it, and somehow it got into the
- 9:24Speaker 3: mind wars of you know, the nineteen twenties, late teens,
- 9:28Speaker 3: early twenties, which I don't know exactly how that happened
- 9:31Speaker 3: and what it has to do with what's going on
- 9:32Speaker 3: in Los Angeles. Actually I do know what the correlation
- 9:35Speaker 3: is federal troops being brought in. But I made a
- 9:39Speaker 3: comment and a person whom I don't know commented and
- 9:44Speaker 3: said to me, I can't wait to let me clean
- 9:49Speaker 3: this up so Ryan doesn't fire me. I can't wait
- 9:52Speaker 3: to urinate on your grave. That's what a person said
- 9:56Speaker 3: about me, that they could not wait to urinate on
- 9:58Speaker 3: my one. I'm going to be cremated, so I guess
- 10:00Speaker 3: you just have to knock over the vase. Uh where
- 10:05Speaker 3: I mean you could. You could disagree with people with
- 10:08Speaker 3: anything I say on this show or what I post
- 10:11Speaker 3: online or whatever. But I mean to say, they can't
- 10:14Speaker 3: wait till you're in eate And I cleaned it up
- 10:17Speaker 3: on my grave because because you disagree with something I said.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I mean, this is this where we are. I mean
- 10:25Speaker 3: as a society, that that that that that's that's okay.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. That's
- 10:34Speaker 3: all I got to say is, folks, I don't know.

- 14:12Speaker 3: Western Didion. The Secretary of State, Chris Warner. Good morning, sir, Hey,
- 14:15Speaker 3: good morning Dave.
- 14:16Speaker 12: It's great to be with you from Lewis County this morning.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Yeah, we're going to get into why you're in Lewis
- 14:21Speaker 3: County coming up a little bit later on. But as
- 14:23Speaker 3: far as the municipal elections go, as I said last Tuesday,
- 14:26Speaker 3: tomorrow considered well, tomorrow really is a big one for
- 14:31Speaker 3: municipal elections around the state, with seventy six elections being
- 14:35Speaker 3: held tomorrow, including if I got my information right, I
- 14:38Speaker 3: think there's three in Kanawa County tomorrow. We'll get to
- 14:40Speaker 3: those in a moment. Secretary, why is it so important
- 14:43Speaker 3: for people to take part in these elections?
- 14:46Speaker 12: You know, I just had the opportunity to talk to
- 14:48Speaker 12: Mountain Air Boys State, Dave, and it's important because you know,
- 14:54Speaker 12: as we talked about this morning with Mountain Air Boys State,
- 14:59Speaker 12: these they refer to them as citizens here, not in
- 15:04Speaker 12: their boys state. But if you're not registered to vote,
- 15:07Speaker 12: you're just a resident of your city or your county
- 15:10Speaker 12: or your state. By registering to vote, it gives you
- 15:14Speaker 12: the opportunity to become a citizen, and you become an
- 15:18Speaker 12: active citizen when you actually vote, And it's all a
- 15:24Speaker 12: part of the process. And some of these very small communities,
- 15:28Speaker 12: if they don't have twenty people to show up and vote,
- 15:31Speaker 12: even though there might not be a contested election, the
- 15:35Speaker 12: state coach says that that community shall dissolve. So it's
- 15:40Speaker 12: extremely important to get out and have a say. So though,
- 15:44Speaker 12: in those contested elections where you have an input on
- 15:50Speaker 12: things that affect your daily live, when you're electing a
- 15:54Speaker 12: city council member or a mayor, those I think, quite frankly,
- 15:58Speaker 12: are more important than your state in several offices, and
- 16:02Speaker 12: that they have a role in your daily life.
- 16:04Speaker 3: And I don't disagree with that. We're talking to what
- 16:06Speaker 3: the West Virginia Secretary of State Chris Warner, because yeah, I mean,
- 16:08Speaker 3: these are the people that actually impact your lives. And
- 16:10Speaker 3: here in Kanawha County, the voters in Clintdennon, Marmette, and Pratt,
- 16:16Speaker 3: all three of those here in Kanawha County will be
- 16:18Speaker 3: headed to the polls tomorrow. And one of the things
- 16:20Speaker 3: that I have found and I know that you can
- 16:24Speaker 3: agree with this, is that there's lesson less people that
- 16:26Speaker 3: seem to want to get involved, to put their name
- 16:28Speaker 3: on the ballot to run for offices. So unfortunately, a
- 16:31Speaker 3: lot of times when voters show up at the polls,
- 16:33Speaker 3: and this is not the fault of anybody, I mean,
- 16:35Speaker 3: it's on the fault of your office or anything. But
- 16:37Speaker 3: they show up at the polls and I don't notice
- 16:39Speaker 3: they don't have a lot of choices because a lot
- 16:41Speaker 3: of people, you know, people just don't want to seem
- 16:44Speaker 3: to get involved as much anymore. I'm talking about those
- 16:46Speaker 3: running for office secretary.
- 16:49Speaker 12: You're right, Dave, we now have too many keyboard warriors
- 16:54Speaker 12: out there that want to poke holes in anything that
- 16:57Speaker 12: any elected official. But again, these are the people that
- 17:02Speaker 12: are taking the calls about the barking dog or the
- 17:04Speaker 12: snowbyan plowed in front of their driveway, you know, the
- 17:09Speaker 12: things that municipal leaders take care of. So I would
- 17:14Speaker 12: just ask everybody to take a step back, look and
- 17:17Speaker 12: realize what these people are doing. You know, they work
- 17:20Speaker 12: seven days a week. They're answering questions in the grocery
- 17:24Speaker 12: store on their way to the post office. It's it's
- 17:29Speaker 12: a thankless job at times, and I just want to
- 17:32Speaker 12: applaud those that do run for office and put their
- 17:35Speaker 12: name up on the ballot and take the grief that they.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Take, and they do take a lot. But a valance
- 17:41Speaker 3: show on five eighty Live is brought to you by
- 17:43Speaker 3: Morgan to Morgan in America's largest injury law firm. So
- 17:45Speaker 3: what plans has the office got for being out and
- 17:49Speaker 3: about tomorrow?
- 17:51Speaker 12: I've got eight seven or eight communities that I'm on
- 17:55Speaker 12: hit in Harrison County starting in Bridgeport tomorrow, but we're
- 17:58Speaker 12: going to cover Harrison and h and Marion Counties. We
- 18:02Speaker 12: are going to have one staff member from the office
- 18:07Speaker 12: at every contested election uh in the state tomorrow. So there,
- 18:12Speaker 12: I think it's seventy seven that will actually vote tomorrow,
- 18:16Speaker 12: seventy seven communities, and we're going to have everywhere that
- 18:20Speaker 12: there's a contested race, we're going to have somebody either
- 18:24Speaker 12: from our investigations or Elections division. And again I'm covering
- 18:28Speaker 12: seven or eight in north central West Virginia.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Any issues with the first round last week, first round of.
- 18:36Speaker 12: Don't I don't think that there's anything that's been a notable,
- 18:41Speaker 12: you know, the normal but you know, the election will
- 18:47Speaker 12: uh ten days later will be the audit or the
- 18:51Speaker 12: canvassing as as some would refer to that. And you know,
- 18:56Speaker 12: so we expect everything to go well. We've got a
- 18:59Speaker 12: great field stand as you well know, and they're spread
- 19:02Speaker 12: out across the state as well, offering help as far
- 19:06Speaker 12: as the training goes and making sure that everybody is
- 19:09Speaker 12: ready to go for election day. You know, the important
- 19:12Speaker 12: part about the Secretary of State's office is that there
- 19:16Speaker 12: is never a down year. They're either municipal elections or
- 19:19Speaker 12: state wide elections, so every year is an election year
- 19:23Speaker 12: for us, and we treated as such.
- 19:27Speaker 3: And if people do go to the polling place tomorrow
- 19:29Speaker 3: and some of these elections, Secretary and they see something
- 19:32Speaker 3: that doesn't seem quite right, you know, you see some
- 19:34Speaker 3: electioneering going on, or you see people with campaign materials,
- 19:38Speaker 3: or you got questions. Things just don't look like that
- 19:41Speaker 3: they're on the up and up. What do they need
- 19:43Speaker 3: to do?
- 19:44Speaker 12: We ask folks first of all to address that with
- 19:48Speaker 12: the poll workers. But if you see something, say something,
- 19:52Speaker 12: and you can do that by going to WV fraud
- 19:57Speaker 12: is the telephone number to call, put you directly into
- 20:01Speaker 12: the investigation office. At the Secretary of State, and we
- 20:06Speaker 12: have folks that can deploy quickly.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Boy, we let you go because I know you're busy.
- 20:10Speaker 3: You get some other things to get to. So you
- 20:12Speaker 3: mentioned that you're up in Lewis County. Boys State, I
- 20:15Speaker 3: think today in Girls State going on tomorrow? Is that right?
- 20:20Speaker 12: Actually, I just finished with the flag raising ceremony and
- 20:25Speaker 12: spoke to all two hundred and forty citizens of Boys State,
- 20:29Speaker 12: and I'm on my way to Randolph County to speak
- 20:33Speaker 12: for the first day of.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Girls Oh okay, okay, that's my fault. Yeah, they're actually
- 20:37Speaker 3: going on at the same time. What why is Boys
- 20:40Speaker 3: and Girls State? Why is this so important for people
- 20:42Speaker 3: or for the for the youngsters, not youngsters, the young
- 20:44Speaker 3: adults involved.
- 20:46Speaker 12: You know, we had the opportunity to talk this morning,
- 20:49Speaker 12: and after I had a chance to address the entire crowd,
- 20:52Speaker 12: I was just refreshing to see the number of citizens
- 20:59Speaker 12: that wanted to step forward and talk about what their
- 21:02Speaker 12: plans are. Many of them are trying to get into
- 21:05Speaker 12: the military academies. You too wanted to go to the
- 21:08Speaker 12: Air Force Academy. They're juniors on their way to becoming seniors.
- 21:13Speaker 12: And we talked about the Jennings Randolph Award, where if
- 21:16Speaker 12: you register more than eighty five percent of your senior class,
- 21:21Speaker 12: we recognize that school with the Jennings Randolph Award, and
- 21:25Speaker 12: then we invite them to the capital during the legislative
- 21:29Speaker 12: session in January and February to recognize the two students
- 21:34Speaker 12: that led that effort as honorary Secretaries of State. So
- 21:39Speaker 12: this is all about citizenship. They're now citizens of boy state,
- 21:44Speaker 12: but we want them to become citizens in their community
- 21:47Speaker 12: and their county and in their state when they go
- 21:50Speaker 12: back home on Saturday.
- 21:51Speaker 3: All right, Secretary, will let you get back to it.
- 21:54Speaker 3: I appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to
- 21:56Speaker 3: be with us the happy Super Tuesday election day tomorrow.
- 22:01Speaker 12: Dave, thanks for the opportunity today, all.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Right, West Virginia Secretary of s Chris Warner nine twenty
- 22:05Speaker 3: nine Dave Island Show and five any line presented in
- 22:07Speaker 3: part by Generations Physical Therapy, the leading provider of outpatient
- 22:11Speaker 3: PT in the Tri State for nearly thirty years. For
- 22:13Speaker 3: an appointment three zero four, seven, six zero fifty six
- 22:16Speaker 3: sixty of visit GENERATIONSPT dot com to find the closest
- 22:19Speaker 3: location near you and again in Kanawa County. The communities
- 22:22Speaker 3: of Clindennon, Marmette, and Pratt will all be headed to
- 22:26Speaker 3: the polls tomorrow. We got a little info from a
- 22:30Speaker 3: friend of the program, Tony Hodge, who's a regular on
- 22:33Speaker 3: the program here. His son, Hayden, is the sitting governor
- 22:37Speaker 3: at at Boys State. So just Tony wanted to make
- 22:42Speaker 3: sure I knew that he's a good kid. All what
- 22:45Speaker 3: happened to his dad, But now he's a good kid.
- 22:47Speaker 12: Now.
- 22:47Speaker 3: I'm just kidding, but yeah, the congratulations to Hayden. Danny Jones,
- 22:52Speaker 3: former Charleston mayor, has stopped by.
- 22:55Speaker 8: How you doing, man, How you doing? I'm doing good, buddy,
- 22:58Speaker 8: Thanks for having me over.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Thank you for being here. All right, So before we
- 23:01Speaker 3: get into anything else, I gotta ask you Musk versus Trump, Yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 3: what do you think about it?
- 23:08Speaker 12: Well?
- 23:08Speaker 8: I think Trump will come out on the losing end
- 23:12Speaker 8: because he just can't allow the slightest slight to go unanswered.
- 23:19Speaker 8: And what he should have done was just ignored it.
- 23:22Speaker 8: And I mean, our federal government needs SpaceX, for instance.
- 23:32Speaker 8: And I don't know if Trump, I mean, if Musk
- 23:37Speaker 8: didn't take his medicine. I mean, I don't know what's
- 23:39Speaker 8: causing all this? Well, he has some issues.
- 23:41Speaker 3: He has some major issues. And now there's a lot
- 23:44Speaker 3: of reports out there about about drug use with Moska,
- 23:48Speaker 3: about the amount of I mean things like I mean,
- 23:50Speaker 3: this is when you know, widely published about the use
- 23:54Speaker 3: of ecstasy and uh uh and ketamine and all on
- 23:57Speaker 3: all these other things. So maybe maybe he took the
- 23:59Speaker 3: medication or didn't take enough of something I don't know.
- 24:02Speaker 8: Ketam Yeah sounds like a cat food.
- 24:04Speaker 3: It is, It's exactly what it is. So but but
- 24:08Speaker 3: I mean, I'm looking at this, you know, and I'm
- 24:10Speaker 3: seeing and here's something that was that was brought out
- 24:13Speaker 3: to me by some of my more right leaning conservative friends.
- 24:18Speaker 3: They a couple of people have speculated this whole thing
- 24:21Speaker 3: was just a work that that eventually that this is
- 24:26Speaker 3: just to kind of get attention, to distract from other
- 24:28Speaker 3: things and whatever, that there was never a rift between
- 24:31Speaker 3: them and I had somebody text the the uh the
- 24:34Speaker 3: Network show last week and say Trump was playing everybody.
- 24:37Speaker 3: There is no feud or whatever. But here's what I
- 24:39Speaker 3: would say to that, even Danny if it were, I mean,
- 24:43Speaker 3: do we really need a president that is that that
- 24:46Speaker 3: is doing things like this?
- 24:49Speaker 8: It's it's he's such a polarizing figure and he doesn't
- 24:56Speaker 8: need any help. Yeah, So for some reason Elon Musk
- 25:03Speaker 8: got upset. Maybe it's because that appointment he wanted. But
- 25:10Speaker 8: Trump should have let it go and not competed. He
- 25:13Speaker 8: made it a competition when he responded the very first time.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, and that's that's kind of the this OPERENDI
- 25:20Speaker 3: for Donald Trump. If even as I said before, well
- 25:22Speaker 3: before politics, he's a very competitive individual. He buy maybe
- 25:27Speaker 3: even his own admission people close to him. He can
- 25:29Speaker 3: be petty at times, very he doesn't he can't stand
- 25:32Speaker 3: anybody he in his mind, getting the upper hand on him.
- 25:37Speaker 3: But I don't know that he's ever met anybody quite
- 25:39Speaker 3: like Elon Musk, you know, somebody that doesn't need his money,
- 25:43Speaker 3: that's got more. He's the richest man on earth. I
- 25:47Speaker 3: don't think that Trump, in my opinion, Danny has has
- 25:50Speaker 3: encountered a lot of people like that.
- 25:52Speaker 8: And President Trump has enough problems out there in Los Angeles.
- 25:56Speaker 3: For instance, right, I mean in the moment, Yeah.
- 25:58Speaker 8: He's got enough on his play. He doesn't need to
- 26:01Speaker 8: be involved in a tit for tat for between he
- 26:05Speaker 8: and the richest man on the planet.
- 26:07Speaker 3: All right, So you're a you're a California guy. Uh,
- 26:11Speaker 3: you're taking what's going on right now Los Angeles.
- 26:13Speaker 8: I'm an hour south of there, Okay, And it's it
- 26:20Speaker 8: doesn't take too much social media to bring out a
- 26:23Speaker 8: mob like that. I mean, I've seen in Long Beach.
- 26:26Speaker 8: I've seen mobs turn out to protest Monsanto for instance.
- 26:32Speaker 8: Uh that's been quite a few years ago. But it
- 26:37Speaker 8: doesn't take much. And a lot of the the constituency
- 26:43Speaker 8: is Mexican and most of those people are just hard
- 26:47Speaker 8: working folks. They're they're not looking for any trouble, but
- 26:50Speaker 8: there's enough of them, and there's enough white academics to
- 26:56Speaker 8: uh cause problems.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Who's right and who's wrong here in the way that
- 27:01Speaker 3: this is being handled. I'm not talking about the fact
- 27:04Speaker 3: that the legal I'm talking about the way it's being handled.
- 27:08Speaker 8: Your take on that, I don't think either of Maara.
- 27:11Speaker 8: I think IS is a police agency and they should
- 27:15Speaker 8: be accorded the respect of a police department, but they're not.
- 27:19Speaker 3: But a lot of people I think have taken issue
- 27:21Speaker 3: Danny with the fact that Governor Newsom being one the
- 27:24Speaker 3: mayor of Los Angeles just.
- 27:26Speaker 8: Trying to get in the middle of it, David. He
- 27:28Speaker 8: just wants he just wants exposure. Yeah, I know, they
- 27:31Speaker 8: want to just arrest me, just come get me.
- 27:34Speaker 3: He's just which is what he wants. That's what he wants,
- 27:36Speaker 3: what he wants. But but, but he and others have
- 27:39Speaker 3: had issues with the fact that the President, I guess,
- 27:41Speaker 3: mobilized and sent sent these people in without actually talking
- 27:46Speaker 3: to the governor.
- 27:47Speaker 8: And what was the governor going to say, come on in?
- 27:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's a federal operation, right.
- 27:53Speaker 8: He doesn't have to ask him. I've been around Newsom.
- 27:57Speaker 8: I've been in the room with him in a table
- 27:59Speaker 8: so much like this, And he stood right over here
- 28:03Speaker 8: and he had his shirt his shirt unbuttoned right down
- 28:06Speaker 8: to the middle of his chest with no T shirt.
- 28:09Speaker 8: And there's a bunch of US mayors sitting around with
- 28:12Speaker 8: coaching ties on. I was sitting in between the mayor
- 28:15Speaker 8: of Charleston, South Carolina, and the mayor of Richmond, Virginia,
- 28:19Speaker 8: and here he comes. He never looked at anybody. He
- 28:24Speaker 8: looked straight ahead, you know, look at me. You know,
- 28:28Speaker 8: I got no use for him. He shouldn't be the governor.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Well, one of the things about Newsom is is that
- 28:34Speaker 3: he's you know, there's always the talk he's going to
- 28:36Speaker 3: run for president.
- 28:37Speaker 8: I mean, I'm sure he is.
- 28:38Speaker 3: And no matter who the president, no matter who the
- 28:41Speaker 3: Democrats put up, they're probably more likely going to get
- 28:43Speaker 3: beat in twenty twenty eight.
- 28:44Speaker 8: I wouldn't say that.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Okay, well, time will tell, but it would be Danny.
- 28:49Speaker 12: So.
- 28:50Speaker 3: I mean, you talk about the impossible of impossibles, a
- 28:54Speaker 3: Democrat governor from California being elected president of the United
- 28:57Speaker 3: States in the president political climate.
- 28:59Speaker 8: Yeah, if they would somehow put Josh Shapiro up, they'll
- 29:02Speaker 8: win the election.
- 29:04Speaker 3: I think.
- 29:04Speaker 12: So.
- 29:04Speaker 8: I put big money on it. That's how strong I
- 29:07Speaker 8: think he is.
- 29:08Speaker 3: We had a textas as Trump is escalating the situation
- 29:11Speaker 3: by sending the military. Trump wants martial law, so he
- 29:14Speaker 3: has complete control, and he's trying to agitate the protesters
- 29:17Speaker 3: into giving him a reason.
- 29:18Speaker 8: I don't know if I agree with that, but he's
- 29:21Speaker 8: allowed to send the National Guard. Eisenhower did it in
- 29:25Speaker 8: Little Rock, President Kennedy did it in Birmingham, Alabama, and
- 29:31Speaker 8: sixty three. I mean, it's it's done. They don't like
- 29:36Speaker 8: to do it, but it's done.

- 32:38Speaker 3: is sending troops to protect ice so they can snatch
- 32:41Speaker 3: people and detain them without due process.
- 32:45Speaker 8: Well, the point is I understand that that's not that's
- 32:48Speaker 8: not news. But the point is the president is the
- 32:52Speaker 8: commander in chief of all the national guard in every state.
- 32:57Speaker 8: If he wants to assume that power, he can do it.
- 33:01Speaker 3: All right. I want to move on to something else,
- 33:04Speaker 3: and I want to bring up this with you. Has
- 33:06Speaker 3: nothing to do with California or anything like that, or
- 33:08Speaker 3: even Trump for that matter. A few entities Dandy did
- 33:11Speaker 3: stories on this recently. The date was June sixth, nineteen
- 33:15Speaker 3: seventy nine, when a cargo plane carrying around thirteen tons
- 33:19Speaker 3: of pot crashed into what is now West Virginia International
- 33:24Speaker 3: Jaeger Airport. You were around back then.
- 33:27Speaker 8: I remember that morning. It was I was, you know
- 33:32Speaker 8: where Rusty's Laws. This is Rusty Web. I had my
- 33:35Speaker 8: restaurant in that building. It was the entire length of
- 33:38Speaker 8: the building. It was probably one of the top two
- 33:40Speaker 8: successes I ever had in my life. And we were
- 33:43Speaker 8: busy all the time, and I would get up and
- 33:45Speaker 8: go to work at three o'clock in the morning, and
- 33:47Speaker 8: a lot of times I just take a taxi, you know.
- 33:50Speaker 8: On that morning, I did take a taxi. So the
- 33:52Speaker 8: taxi driver explained to me, you won't believe what happened
- 33:57Speaker 8: that Ah, a plane went off the end of the
- 34:02Speaker 8: runway and potts all down the mountain and it's it's
- 34:06Speaker 8: on fire. The marijuana was on fire. And Hm, there
- 34:12Speaker 8: were two deputies indicted over that, and John Jericho's listening.
- 34:18Speaker 8: He represented one of them. He represented the older Chadwick
- 34:25Speaker 8: his and his son was up there too, and supposedly
- 34:30Speaker 8: their their job was to guard the rider trucks that
- 34:33Speaker 8: was going to haul all of the of the pot
- 34:37Speaker 8: and when the track when the plane crashed, Mark Chadwick
- 34:40Speaker 8: took off from one of the riders. But he finally
- 34:46Speaker 8: was acquitted. Mark Chadwick and the older Chadwick was acquitted
- 34:50Speaker 8: in the main trial, and John Jericho was his lawyer.
- 34:53Speaker 8: I'm not sure if that was the only Acquitdow it
- 34:55Speaker 8: might have been. But on that morning, Uh, Wayne Bridge,
- 35:01Speaker 8: we had a real zealot in the United Assistant United
- 35:05Speaker 8: States turn in. He was a little bit over the top.
- 35:09Speaker 8: Now he wasn't a little bit, he was a lot
- 35:10Speaker 8: over the top. And uh he called Topiro and he said, Tim,
- 35:17Speaker 8: we got to go out to the airport. So Japiro
- 35:22Speaker 8: asked why, I said, well, there's a bunch of pot,
- 35:24Speaker 8: you know, just one offside of the mountains. So Japiro
- 35:26Speaker 8: said to him, it's only marijuana. Wayne. Like that. Well,
- 35:31Speaker 8: I think they both ended up going out there, and
- 35:34Speaker 8: Japiro was one of the prosecutors in the case, so
- 35:38Speaker 8: it got around that Tim told Wayne it's only marijuana, Wayne.
- 35:44Speaker 8: So when they came to trial, they all had buttons
- 35:47Speaker 8: made it's only marijuana, Wayne. So all those defendants and
- 35:51Speaker 8: their lawyers are wearing these buttons, you know, like campaign buttons,
- 35:55Speaker 8: It's only marijuana, Wayne. And the trial was a bit
- 35:59Speaker 8: of a.
- 36:02Speaker 3: How long was the trial? What was the difference between
- 36:04Speaker 3: when this happened? How long did it take to get
- 36:06Speaker 3: to try do you remember, Oh?
- 36:07Speaker 8: I want to think it was eighty one, okay, or
- 36:10Speaker 8: maybe eighty it was.
- 36:11Speaker 3: It was a while, a year or so too, maybe
- 36:13Speaker 3: after at least.
- 36:15Speaker 12: And.
- 36:17Speaker 8: Those guys not I don't remember too many of them
- 36:22Speaker 8: getting too much time. And the thing was stopped in
- 36:27Speaker 8: the middle because Dennis Knapp was a judge and he
- 36:30Speaker 8: kind of lost control of the court room and he
- 36:34Speaker 8: had either a heart attack or some type of ailment.
- 36:38Speaker 8: So then Judge Copenhager had to come in and take
- 36:40Speaker 8: over the trial in the middle of the trial, and
- 36:45Speaker 8: I think everybody kind of straightened up then, but these
- 36:49Speaker 8: it was like, I mean, these guys were really off
- 36:54Speaker 8: the rails. He's defendants. They would tell there was a
- 36:59Speaker 8: female us I'm gonna a fair name, but because it
- 37:01Speaker 8: doesn't matter, oh she smells like that. They do stuff
- 37:08Speaker 8: like that and just to try to disrupt the trial,
- 37:12Speaker 8: and Nap kind of lost control of it. That's my memory.
- 37:17Speaker 8: Tim de Pier was listening if you want to call in, So.
- 37:20Speaker 3: What was the story here behind this? I mean, I mean,
- 37:22Speaker 3: how does this happen? I mean, that's It's not like
- 37:25Speaker 3: simple possession here. I mean it was the thirteen tons
- 37:28Speaker 3: of pot. What's the what's the backstory? I mean, who
- 37:31Speaker 3: who was involved? Where was it going? How did it
- 37:33Speaker 3: get here? I mean I remember hearing the story, but
- 37:35Speaker 3: I was a kid. I do remember watching it on television,
- 37:38Speaker 3: the local news talking about it. But you were around there,
- 37:41Speaker 3: what's the story?
- 37:42Speaker 8: The number here is three or four, three four five
- 37:44Speaker 8: fifty eight fifty eight. Yeah, okay, three four five fifty
- 37:47Speaker 8: eight fifty eight. It was Uh, it was just a
- 37:52Speaker 8: drug run to bring some pot in here because there
- 37:54Speaker 8: was a huge market for it, and the laws weren't
- 37:57Speaker 8: as strict then. It wasn't until eighty six that we
- 38:01Speaker 8: had the UH the Commission that strengthened all the dope
- 38:07Speaker 8: lows and it, Like I said, the trial was a
- 38:13Speaker 8: fiasco and those guys didn't get much time. I think
- 38:17Speaker 8: it was all about the money and they had all
- 38:20Speaker 8: that pot and they wanted to bring in here, put
- 38:22Speaker 8: it in ride their trucks, Stewart somewhere, and then sell it.
- 38:27Speaker 8: And they would have sold it because a lot of
- 38:28Speaker 8: people smoke marijuana at that time. What was did ing
- 38:33Speaker 8: Di Ding Ding Ding?
- 38:36Speaker 3: By the way, we had a textures that I love.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Listen to Danny. You're not bad either, Dave. I appreciate that. So,
- 38:43Speaker 3: I mean, were there it was there any truth to
- 38:46Speaker 3: the fact that organized crime was involved in this?
- 38:48Speaker 8: I don't think so. I think, well, these were big
- 38:52Speaker 8: drug runners, and I wouldn't say organized crime in the
- 38:57Speaker 8: way we're thinking of the New York Five family, right.
- 39:00Speaker 8: I mean there was a guy from from from Chile
- 39:04Speaker 8: or South America.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Was gonna say, I thought there was a time. Okay,
- 39:08Speaker 3: who do we have here?
- 39:09Speaker 8: Ryan?
- 39:09Speaker 3: Is this Tim?
- 39:12Speaker 8: With Tim?
- 39:13Speaker 12: All? Right?
- 39:13Speaker 3: Tim Dapiro, You're on with the with Dave and Danny.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Welcome to the show, sir, Thanks for calling in.
- 39:18Speaker 12: Thanks, how y'all doing doing fine?
- 39:20Speaker 3: Have you been listening to what Danny's been spending here
- 39:22Speaker 3: and is it all true?
- 39:24Speaker 12: Well, there's a few more facts it should be okay.
- 39:29Speaker 12: Uh Wayne, Wayne woke me up in the middle of
- 39:31Speaker 12: the night with the call and said that he was
- 39:33Speaker 12: going at the state Police, the Dea Canells Sheriffs, Alston Police.
- 39:38Speaker 12: He said, this's the marijuana. He didn't say port olover.
- 39:41Speaker 12: I thought it was, you know, a little cesster with
- 39:43Speaker 12: maybe a suitcase full.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's what you think of.
- 39:46Speaker 12: Yeah yeah. And so I mean, who's going to be
- 39:48Speaker 12: flying a big old plane in there? So I thought
- 39:50Speaker 12: it's only marijuana. Wayne, you know you all can take
- 39:52Speaker 12: care of it. When when I woke up to the
- 39:54Speaker 12: news that the DC six had uh crashed and spilled
- 40:00Speaker 12: multiple times of marijuana, I called my buddy Frank Forgale
- 40:03Speaker 12: and said, you know, I'm going to be in trouble
- 40:05Speaker 12: when I get to the office for not going and uh,
- 40:08Speaker 12: he's the one. He ended up representing one of the
- 40:10Speaker 12: guys in the rider truck and he told all the
- 40:12Speaker 12: defense lawyers about it. It's only marijuana, Wayne, And that's
- 40:16Speaker 12: how the buttons got out. And I caught some heavy
- 40:21Speaker 12: grief when I got in there. You know, the old
- 40:24Speaker 12: let me tell you the rest of the story. Yes, yes,
- 40:26Speaker 12: go ahead, let me tell you the rest of the story.
- 40:29Speaker 12: You know. Of course, Bob King was the US attorney
- 40:31Speaker 12: down federal judge. He was, he was all over me
- 40:34Speaker 12: that day and and uh, but I ended up working
- 40:37Speaker 12: the case. And turns out when Copenhager took over, there
- 40:41Speaker 12: was a motion to dismiss the night because we had
- 40:43Speaker 12: destroyed the plane and destroyed other evidence and all this
- 40:46Speaker 12: kind of stuff. And uh, Compenhaier wanted just copnor wanted
- 40:51Speaker 12: every piece that came off that mountain. And poor Wayne
- 40:55Speaker 12: had saved U shark repellent in one of the bags
- 40:58Speaker 12: that the marijuana was in, and he had it hanging
- 41:02Speaker 12: in his office and he had to go testify. And
- 41:04Speaker 12: so about a year after the trial, or six months
- 41:08Speaker 12: after the trial, the d o J and the Farmer
- 41:10Speaker 12: Justice put out a memo that said fellow prosecutes are
- 41:14Speaker 12: not supposed to go to crime scenes because they can
- 41:16Speaker 12: end up being witnesses in the case. So I proceeded
- 41:20Speaker 12: to tell well, Bob King. Now, Judge King, I said, Bob,
- 41:23Speaker 12: you thought I was just being lazy, not getting up
- 41:25Speaker 12: and going in. I said, I just I knew I
- 41:27Speaker 12: could be a witness, and it was just not a
- 41:29Speaker 12: smart thing to do. I was just being you know,
- 41:30Speaker 12: I was just being you know, verty smart about it.
- 41:35Speaker 12: Not really, that's the rest of the story.
- 41:37Speaker 8: Hey, Tim, you just got a phone call just recently.
- 41:41Speaker 8: Tell us tell us about.
- 41:42Speaker 12: That, Okay, On June sixth, I got a call and
- 41:49Speaker 12: it said happy June six. I said, what it is,
- 41:52Speaker 12: Happy June six? I said, who is this? He said,
- 41:55Speaker 12: Jerome Jerome lil Cherome Autumn Lil. I said, what do
- 41:59Speaker 12: you do? And he said, well, forty six years ago.
- 42:02Speaker 12: Oh gosh, you're crazy.
- 42:03Speaker 8: He was one of those ten.
- 42:05Speaker 12: Times he was. He kind of masterminded this thing.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Well, I mean didn't sound like he had a very
- 42:09Speaker 3: good job of it. To be honest with you, Tom,
- 42:11Speaker 3: he tried to mastermind it. He tried to mastermind it.
- 42:14Speaker 3: I don't know that he did a very good job.
- 42:16Speaker 12: No, he did do a great job. Well, he blames
- 42:19Speaker 12: he blames one of the guys for messing up the breaks.
- 42:22Speaker 12: He did something on the plane that messed up the breaks,
- 42:24Speaker 12: and otherwise they would have they would have pulled it off,
- 42:26Speaker 12: and they probably would have. But long story short, is
- 42:29Speaker 12: he just he has got religion, seriously, wrote a book
- 42:34Speaker 12: his experience, and has a brother's sick and he does
- 42:38Speaker 12: things to kind of help with that. I forget the
- 42:42Speaker 12: kind of illness he has, but he's, uh, he's been redeemed. Well.
- 42:46Speaker 12: You all, I just appreciate it.
- 42:48Speaker 8: You all had a meeting that took place in my restaurant,
- 42:51Speaker 8: and all the players, including rosal Lee Earl who worked
- 42:55Speaker 8: for the gazette. I don't know if Patty Vandergriff was there,
- 42:59Speaker 8: but all the player there.
- 43:01Speaker 12: She loved it.
- 43:02Speaker 3: She joined, you had a had.
- 43:04Speaker 8: Kind of a reunion in my restaurant, right, That's exactly right.
- 43:09Speaker 8: And Jerome was there.
- 43:11Speaker 12: They oh yeah, they tried. They tried us more than
- 43:14Speaker 12: we tried. That. It seemed like these lawyers just kind
- 43:16Speaker 12: of who washed in from all over the country who
- 43:19Speaker 12: were just ready. I guess we're just ready for calls
- 43:21Speaker 12: for these guys. So it was. It was quite an
- 43:24Speaker 12: experience I learned. I learned a whole lot in a
- 43:28Speaker 12: one year's time being in the courtroom. It's amazing.
- 43:31Speaker 3: Hey, hey, Tim, we got to take the break here,
- 43:34Speaker 3: but I do want to ask you in thirty seconds
- 43:36Speaker 3: what happened to all the pot?
- 43:41Speaker 12: Well, we started burning it and it was a bad
- 43:45Speaker 12: It didn't look good because too many cops from up
- 43:47Speaker 12: there burning and laughing and cutting up and getting hungry.
- 43:50Speaker 3: I had, I had John.
- 43:53Speaker 12: So they decided to put paraquad on it and bury
- 43:56Speaker 12: it and said, look, it's really dangerous. So they buried
- 43:58Speaker 12: it all and then you know, it was like a
- 44:00Speaker 12: bunch of hobbits for the next few days. Dig it. Yeah.
- 44:04Speaker 3: I had a former sheriff of Rutherford on the show
- 44:07Speaker 3: and he just was talking about it one day and
- 44:09Speaker 3: he said something to the effective. He said, we had
- 44:11Speaker 3: cops from everywhere. Man, they had guys from Minnesota, you know,
- 44:14Speaker 3: callin us and say can we come down and help
- 44:18Speaker 3: a Tim. I appreciate your insights of calling us up today.
- 44:21Speaker 3: It's good stuff, man, I appreciate you.
- 44:23Speaker 12: Thank you, y'all. Have a good day.
- 44:25Speaker 8: Thank you.

- 47:40Speaker 3: Clinton and Reno having a swat team hold a gun
- 47:43Speaker 3: on a family member hiding the Ilian Gonzales in a
- 47:45Speaker 3: closet trying to avoid avoid deportation. What part of illegal
- 47:49Speaker 3: alien is hard to comprehend. Trump is doing exactly what
- 47:53Speaker 3: millions of US voted for him to do. Look at
- 47:55Speaker 3: the latest poll as numbers have gone up since Holman
- 47:58Speaker 3: and Ice started rounding people.
- 48:00Speaker 8: I take exception at both of those. But Ili and
- 48:03Speaker 8: Gonzalez was his father was in Cuba, so he had
- 48:10Speaker 8: rights to his son. That's what that was all.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, I think that's right.
- 48:14Speaker 8: And even though I don't want to see the little
- 48:16Speaker 8: boy go to communism, I mean, that was his dad

- 48:22Speaker 3: Texas many are conveniently ignoring the mask Marxist thugs who
- 48:26Speaker 3: are hurling small boulders off a highway overpass on the
- 48:29Speaker 3: LAPD cars below. Any calls for attempted murder charges for them.
- 48:34Speaker 8: Well, I'm not in the middle of it. I don't know,
- 48:37Speaker 8: and uh, you know, it's it's always been like that
- 48:41Speaker 8: out there, and uh, I mean kind of like the
- 48:44Speaker 8: Rodney King riots and stuff like that. It's just just
- 48:47Speaker 8: kind of sad. What's said about it is the entire
- 48:50Speaker 8: state of California takes the brunt and now where I am,
- 48:55Speaker 8: which is now our south, that you don't see anything
- 48:57Speaker 8: like that, any any violence or it's it's really nice.
- 49:02Speaker 3: Texas, Dave, let Danny know that the people have a
- 49:04Speaker 3: right to form a militia and stand against government overreach
- 49:07Speaker 3: against the people constitutions still stands.
- 49:10Speaker 8: Uh, I'm not even gonna touch that.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Tex says, I was in college at WVU at that time.
- 49:16Speaker 3: Going back to the pot plane of seventy nine, there
- 49:19Speaker 3: were always rumors that the pot in town was airplane pot.
- 49:24Speaker 8: I don't, I don't. I don't think so.
- 49:28Speaker 3: Well they I mean, you know, the your your buddy there,
- 49:31Speaker 3: mister Tapiro said that that they burned it so well.
- 49:35Speaker 8: But there was marijuana in the early seventies around here,
- 49:39Speaker 8: really and I can attest to that. And it didn't
- 49:44Speaker 8: come off any airplane. It was bought in here by
- 49:46Speaker 8: people texts.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Going back to Los Angeles police chief says they will
- 49:52Speaker 3: review video evidence after the situations under control and will
- 49:55Speaker 3: seek charges to the max that the law will allow.
- 49:59Speaker 8: I don't, I don't think they'll find juris to convict
- 50:01Speaker 8: anybody Texas.
- 50:03Speaker 3: There's people in Los Angeles are peacefully protesting, just like
- 50:05Speaker 3: the January sixth protesters. And I think that's a little
- 50:09Speaker 3: sarcasm was in January and the text is right, by
- 50:12Speaker 3: the way.
- 50:13Speaker 8: The January sixth wasn't peaceful, and neither's this.
- 50:17Speaker 3: Oh, but you can't say that because and I was
- 50:19Speaker 3: alluding to what TJ had posted earlier that somebody in
- 50:24Speaker 3: that I said something about January sixth, what sort of
- 50:26Speaker 3: the whole thing? I said kind of like January sixth,
- 50:28Speaker 3: And they said, well, and then they go and all
- 50:30Speaker 3: these conspiracy theories that that that was mainly done by
- 50:34Speaker 3: Capitol police. And but the thing about it is, and
- 50:39Speaker 3: since in having this argument one simple you know, five
- 50:42Speaker 3: or six words, it never would have happened if Trump
- 50:43Speaker 3: would have said something.
- 50:44Speaker 8: Watch day five of the January sixth hearing, and it
- 50:48Speaker 8: deals with the vice president, vice President pens and his staff.
- 50:52Speaker 8: If you think it was peaceful, he almost lost his life. Okay,
- 50:57Speaker 8: he was forty feet away from death.
- 50:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:00Speaker 8: If there was a hero that day or he was
- 51:02Speaker 8: one of them.
- 51:03Speaker 3: And I think it says something about Pence too. I
- 51:05Speaker 3: saw an interview with him a set down interview a
- 51:07Speaker 3: couple of weeks ago, and one of the Sunday news
- 51:09Speaker 3: shows it says something about Pence that he's forgiven everybody.
- 51:13Speaker 8: Well, that's his style.
- 51:14Speaker 3: I mean, that's that's what Christians do.
- 51:17Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, he was running down those steps and
- 51:19Speaker 8: they got security in the basement. Of course, they broke
- 51:22Speaker 8: out their bibles. Everybody started praying, and when he was
- 51:26Speaker 8: they had a car to take him away from the Capitol,
- 51:29Speaker 8: and he refused to get in it, and he said,
- 51:32Speaker 8: I don't want the optic to be that there's what's
- 51:37Speaker 8: going on inside and the vice president who's supposed to
- 51:41Speaker 8: preside over Congress is fleeing the Capitol, so he wouldn't leave.
- 51:46Speaker 3: I think that's very commendable.
- 51:48Speaker 8: I think if he's the man.
- 51:50Speaker 3: All right, final minute or so of the show, actually
- 51:53Speaker 3: final thirty to forty five seconds, what do you think
- 51:55Speaker 3: happens in Los Angeles at this point?
- 51:57Speaker 12: How?
- 51:57Speaker 3: I mean, does this further escalator?
- 52:00Speaker 8: I think as long as Ice is there and they're
- 52:01Speaker 8: arresting people, I think they'll they'll be relistened.
- 52:04Speaker 3: All right, Darren, It's always a pleasure to have you
- 52:06Speaker 3: on the show, whether we're talking Ice or we're talking pot.
- 52:09Speaker 3: It's always a pleasure to have you on the show.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Thank you, and I'm still amazed that you said that
- 52:13Speaker 3: there was marijuana and Charleston nineteen seventies. Really send me
