- 0:01Speaker 1: You know, trying to do laundry here. Well, yeah, man,
- 0:03Speaker 1: I can't forget you don't have the tide pen in
- 0:05Speaker 1: your shirt there. Hey, I'm as bad as you are
- 0:07Speaker 1: when we goes out my life.
- 0:08Speaker 2: It's not a staining, it's just something stuck there.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Yeah, just an interesting story about how Gino recruited jener Zatti.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Before we went to break, we were talking about Alex Caraban.
- 0:18Speaker 1: You brought Alex's name up today when on your call,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Daniel Connelly of the Yukon Hockey Hub asked you about
- 0:24Speaker 1: because Joey became Yukon's all time leading goal scorer in
- 0:27Speaker 1: the Hockey East Era with his goal on Saturday against UMass.
- 0:30Speaker 1: And he's a guy that you think could be a
- 0:34Speaker 1: life for a a light not a lifer, but a
- 0:36Speaker 1: full four year guy. Possibly he loves being at Yukon, doesn't.
- 0:39Speaker 3: He He does. He's a throwback, he's a fun kid
- 0:42Speaker 3: to coach, and he turned down an NHL deal last
- 0:45Speaker 3: year to come back to Yukon. And those are the
- 0:48Speaker 3: kids we love to reward. But on top of that,
- 0:51Speaker 3: I'm not sure he's ready to think he's five to
- 0:53Speaker 3: eight or whatever. He is five to seven he's a
- 0:56Speaker 3: hell of a player, and I do think he has
- 0:58Speaker 3: a chance to play in the NHL, but he also
- 1:01Speaker 3: is very realistic and loves his time here at Yukon
- 1:05Speaker 3: and he's not a post coming back for a senior
- 1:08Speaker 3: year either Now. Whether he will or whether he won't,
- 1:10Speaker 3: I don't know. I'll support him either way, but I
- 1:13Speaker 3: think that does weigh in the back of his mind
- 1:15Speaker 3: a little bit, that you know, I have a chance
- 1:18Speaker 3: to be the winningest player ever here at Yukon, and
- 1:21Speaker 3: I think that's important to him.
- 1:23Speaker 1: One thing that I've note when we do when we
- 1:25Speaker 1: do Hockey Coaches shows, we get players and a lot
- 1:27Speaker 1: of them are like finance majors, that sort of thing.
- 1:30Speaker 1: They're preparing themselves for the future. They're doing a great
- 1:33Speaker 1: job of it.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, they better be, yeah, because it's going to
- 1:38Speaker 3: end at some point. And like I said, like Brian
- 1:41Speaker 3: Johnson is a great example. He made over a fifty
- 1:43Speaker 3: sixty million playing. But the reason you make that type
- 1:47Speaker 3: of money is because you're a driven person. And when
- 1:50Speaker 3: your career ends, you're thirty eight years old, you kind
- 1:54Speaker 3: of live for another fifty years. Yeah, if you're a
- 1:56Speaker 3: driven person, you're not just going to sit back like
- 1:59Speaker 3: you're you're going to want to do something else. And
- 2:02Speaker 3: that's why I think it's so important for the kids
- 2:04Speaker 3: to get a degree and make I always tell them
- 2:08Speaker 3: major in relationships. Don't major in economics or history or
- 2:11Speaker 3: political science. Major in relationships, because that's what's going to
- 2:15Speaker 3: help you get to the next level later on in life.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yeah, two of your alums have done a nice job
- 2:21Speaker 1: with unrivaled Stewie and the FISA. They have done it
- 2:25Speaker 1: right for them. So do they have eighteen thousand last
- 2:28Speaker 1: night in Brooklyn?
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess it was sold.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Out and some of your team was there Monday night.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, a lot of our players went over there
- 2:35Speaker 2: to watch and Stewie's team beat Page's team in the semifinals,
- 2:41Speaker 2: which as it should be. You know, you got to
- 2:44Speaker 2: earn your way up to there, you know. But they
- 2:48Speaker 2: pulled that together in three weeks because as of three
- 2:52Speaker 2: weeks ago, that semifinal was supposed to be in Miami,
- 2:55Speaker 2: So in three weeks they changed it from Miami.
- 2:57Speaker 1: To Parkley sent and sold ten thousands ranks tremendous. So
- 3:02Speaker 1: before we go, thanks to Todd and his staff here
- 3:05Speaker 1: at Cafe Ra, thank you for having us each and
- 3:07Speaker 1: every week. Thanks Danna Labonte, the SID and Sarah Derris,
- 3:11Speaker 1: a director of OX, for getting him here. And gentlemen,
- 3:13Speaker 1: thank you. This was fun.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Thanks for having me.
- 3:16Speaker 1: We'll get right after the show.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 3:17Speaker 1: All right on the radio coming up the top of
- 3:19Speaker 1: the ar If you're listening to the radio, Dan Hurley Fled, Crispino,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and Alex Caraban not talking on the radio Tomorrow night
- 3:25Speaker 1: for Hockey with Cavin New Answer. Thanks for tuning in.
