- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello, my little sexy Angels, it's your best friend Laala
- 0:10Speaker 1: Kent with Jessica. Hello. Everyone. Okay, before we talk about
- 0:18Speaker 1: the reunion, we have to talk about the most important
- 0:20Speaker 1: thing on my mind right now.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Wait, tell me what.
- 0:23Speaker 1: You know, Julie Fox, he's dating Kanye West. Julia Fox.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Julia, Julie Oh, Julia Fox.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yes, yes they do. Okay, I just can't help but
- 0:41Speaker 1: look at everything that's posted online and want to crawl
- 0:45Speaker 1: under a table.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Tell us, why tell us what you think about this relationship?
- 0:50Speaker 1: All right, this is what I'm gonna say. If Kanye
- 0:52Speaker 1: West rolled up on me and said I want to
- 0:54Speaker 1: date you, I'd be like, fuck, No, you dated Kim Kardashian. Yeah,
- 0:59Speaker 1: I'm never gonna date you. Yeah. Kim Kardashian was your wife,
- 1:05Speaker 1: right and the mother of your babies. Yeah, you just
- 1:09Speaker 1: can't compete. So when I see this Julia Julia right,
- 1:13Speaker 1: Julia Fox, and she's like got her stomach out and
- 1:21Speaker 1: her like pant shoes that Kim k wears, and I
- 1:26Speaker 1: just wanted to I want to tell her like stop, stop,
- 1:29Speaker 1: no more.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Do you think they're in a real relationship?
- 1:33Speaker 1: I haven't, Like, really, I'm not one of those people
- 1:36Speaker 1: that like deep dives, right, you know, like I see
- 1:38Speaker 1: them like touching each other and like holding hands. But
- 1:41Speaker 1: I did see one video of Kanye West, and by
- 1:45Speaker 1: the way, I do not condone this. I don't like
- 1:47Speaker 1: when men walk in front of women at all. It
- 1:49Speaker 1: drives me crazy. But this just kind of solidified how
- 1:53Speaker 1: I felt about the relation their relationship. If it is
- 1:55Speaker 1: one like Kim and Kanye was like Kanye okay, and
- 2:01Speaker 1: then it was like, that's Kim fucking Kardashian, Like she
- 2:03Speaker 1: just steals every single show. She's fucking Kim Kardashian. But
- 2:08Speaker 1: it's Kanye West at the airport and he's like doing
- 2:10Speaker 1: something talking to this guy and he's like hauling ass
- 2:13Speaker 1: and Julie Fox or Julia Fox was like trying so
- 2:17Speaker 1: hard to want to like not run.
- 2:20Speaker 3: To keep it sexy, but like speed walk, and I
- 2:24Speaker 3: was like, no, this is so bad.
- 2:26Speaker 1: When I have to look that up because it was
- 2:29Speaker 1: like I think the video was Kanye was trying to
- 2:32Speaker 1: stop a paparazzi's car from being towed or something, oh.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Which doesn't sound like him at all. I feel like
- 2:38Speaker 3: he would get the paparazzi car toad.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Well no, right now, I mean, right now, all he
- 2:43Speaker 1: wants to do is get photographed with Julia Fox and
- 2:46Speaker 1: threaten Pete Davidson. All he wants to do. I love
- 2:52Speaker 1: Kanye West. By the way.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Oh my, well, there we go. It's gonna be the
- 2:57Speaker 3: first time I ever disagree with La La on her podcasts.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Everyone I despise Connie West. I used to be obsessed
- 3:05Speaker 3: with him back in the day, but at this point,
- 3:08Speaker 3: I'm like, ugh, like no more, give me a oh
- 3:12Speaker 3: my god, everything about him, I'm like, ugh, give me break.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I think I'm not like that because you know me,
- 3:18Speaker 1: I'm kind of only in the Real housewives world, right
- 3:21Speaker 1: unless you're a housewife, Like, yeah, I really don't know
- 3:24Speaker 1: much about you. I'm gonna be totally honest. Like even
- 3:28Speaker 1: Larsa Pippen, I was like, Larsa Pippen and then she's
- 3:30Speaker 1: on Real house Eves in Miami, I was like, motherfucker,
- 3:32Speaker 1: Laarsa Pippin, you know right right? So I just I
- 3:38Speaker 1: want Julia Fox to just not.
- 3:41Speaker 3: It's really funny. I think it's a I don't think
- 3:44Speaker 3: it's real. I think it's a mutually beneficial relationship. I
- 3:47Speaker 3: think she needed.
- 3:48Speaker 1: More, how was he benefiting from it?
- 3:50Speaker 3: Well, I think she needed more eyes on her. She wanted,
- 3:53Speaker 3: I mean, anyone will do for the press. So she
- 3:55Speaker 3: was in the movie. I'm sure she was in a
- 3:57Speaker 3: lot of things, but she was in the movie Most
- 3:59Speaker 3: Notable Uncut Gems.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I never see it, No, I never saw it was
- 4:04Speaker 1: good and she was good, But she was the role.
- 4:08Speaker 2: The best way I can put it, she was the
- 4:10Speaker 2: role you would think she would be.
- 4:11Speaker 1: She's this hot annoy.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yeah, her like accent, like she's all of it.
- 4:16Speaker 1: She has an accent where she's from.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Well now, I'm thinking, right in my mind she is
- 4:20Speaker 3: a like a New York like Brooklyn accent in the movie.
- 4:23Speaker 2: But that might be totally wrong. And I'm not even
- 4:26Speaker 2: gonna google it.
- 4:27Speaker 1: It's kind of hot. Maybe I should maybe I should
- 4:29Speaker 1: watch her in that to be less annoyed. Yeah, because
- 4:32Speaker 1: right now she's just some girl that like popped up
- 4:34Speaker 1: that I desperately want to put self tanner all over
- 4:37Speaker 1: her body. See, I like, if you're going to expose
- 4:41Speaker 1: that much of your stomach, we need to put some
- 4:46Speaker 1: sanchope on there, tan yourself up.
- 4:49Speaker 3: No, I think that she Yeah, she gets the the
- 4:53Speaker 3: exposure she gets I think I'm like a conspiracy theorist
- 4:57Speaker 3: on this.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I think she's getting paid for it.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I think that Kanye West is getting look at him,
- 5:03Speaker 3: he's getting the press. Right when he lost Kim, he
- 5:06Speaker 3: kind of He's still got a lot of press, but
- 5:08Speaker 3: like Kim gets photographed everywhere everywhere, and then he lost Kim,
- 5:11Speaker 3: and I think now he's getting like the amount at
- 5:15Speaker 3: Paris Fashion Week, the amount of press coverage that they
- 5:18Speaker 3: got was insane.
- 5:21Speaker 1: That's true. He's definitely everywhere, like even when he was
- 5:24Speaker 1: when you're with Kim Kardashian, which I love because it's
- 5:27Speaker 1: here I am dragging Julie or Julia Fox to it,
- 5:30Speaker 1: and then I'm like fame all empowerment. I love that
- 5:33Speaker 1: Kim Kai gets all the spotlight all the time. I
- 5:36Speaker 1: definitely the last two podcasts, I'm literally making no sense.
- 5:40Speaker 1: That's okay though, the guy that's okay. No, Definitely, they're
- 5:45Speaker 1: getting a ton of coverage from what I've seen.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Yeah, but he's doing his weird moon boots wearing those
- 5:52Speaker 3: bad boys everywhere.
- 5:54Speaker 1: It's like, uh, it's almost like he's watching Napoleon Dynamite
- 5:58Speaker 1: and being like my new and icon.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Right, Yes, And I just think I can't stand him.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Fair enough, Yeah, fair enough.
- 6:08Speaker 3: So and you know what if I Julia Fox when
- 6:10Speaker 3: I saw her in the movie Uncut Gems, I'm like, Oh,
- 6:12Speaker 3: this woman's awesome, badass. And then now that she's with Kanye,
- 6:16Speaker 3: I've lost.
- 6:16Speaker 1: A lot of respect.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Not that she gives a shit, but.
- 6:19Speaker 1: You know, she's like Jessica Walters doesn't have respect. Oh,
- 6:23Speaker 1: doesn't have any respect for me anymore. I've got to
- 6:24Speaker 1: break up with Kanye.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Way.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I cannot sleep at night.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Okay, So that was the most important thing I wanted
- 6:32Speaker 1: to talk about. Okay, the next thing is the reunion.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It aired back to back, which that was crazy. I
- 6:39Speaker 1: didn't realize they were going to do like Monday or
- 6:41Speaker 1: Tuesday Wednesday.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I know I didn't either, But how'd you feel about it?
- 6:46Speaker 1: You know? It was really funny for me to watch
- 6:51Speaker 1: because people say would say things, and then I would
- 6:55Speaker 1: like go to say something, and then I'd fall back
- 6:58Speaker 1: and be like, om, littie, I should know you were
- 7:01Speaker 1: over it before it started. I was over it. But
- 7:03Speaker 1: I've seen like a couple of memes that are like
- 7:05Speaker 1: Tom Santaval and Ariana taking out their ear pieces to
- 7:08Speaker 1: ignore Lalla. It was funny. Hold on ear pieces? What
- 7:11Speaker 1: do you mean? Because I was virtual, so they had
- 7:13Speaker 1: earbuds listening to me.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Oh that's how it works.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I got it. Which like whenever whenever they
- 7:23Speaker 1: don't like something that someone's saying, like, it was perfect
- 7:25Speaker 1: that I wasn't there because they could remove their ear pieces.
- 7:27Speaker 1: That was like the one little piece of power that
- 7:29Speaker 1: they had, which was cute to watch. I actually loved it.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I like how powerful you want?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Oh like throw your ear piece? Yeah, you're mad, You're mad.
- 7:38Speaker 1: And then and then there was another meme that this
- 7:42Speaker 1: one made me laugh. It says, like my quote saying
- 7:46Speaker 1: someone should have told me about being you know, creeped on. Yeah,
- 7:50Speaker 1: and then it has four images of me like clapping
- 7:53Speaker 1: at Raquel calling her a bambiad bitch me, saying you
- 7:55Speaker 1: try to get popped, And then and then it says
- 7:57Speaker 1: on what planet is Laala can approach? It killed me? Granted,
- 8:05Speaker 1: like all of those pictures that they use were from
- 8:07Speaker 1: like my drinking days, you know, and I definitely I've
- 8:11Speaker 1: also matured a lot, Like I'm thirty one years old
- 8:14Speaker 1: and I don't get it popping as much as I
- 8:17Speaker 1: used to. Like I said, I'm retired.
- 8:21Speaker 3: That so you think you think overall? What are your
- 8:25Speaker 3: overall thoughts about Part one and two?
- 8:27Speaker 1: My overall thoughts on the reunion Brock was, I was
- 8:35Speaker 1: embarrassed for him. I was very embarrassed for him the
- 8:38Speaker 1: way that he was handling things on the reunion. With
- 8:41Speaker 1: that being said, With that being said, he sent me
- 8:45Speaker 1: a very sweet message and said, you know I had
- 8:50Speaker 1: hurt him this season and he apologizes it was it
- 8:54Speaker 1: was very sweet, and you know, I just I texted
- 8:56Speaker 1: him back and just said, like if anyone gets it,
- 8:59Speaker 1: like I get it, I react off of being hurt
- 9:03Speaker 1: and like we're all good over here, Like I let
- 9:06Speaker 1: things go. I can shake things off pretty quickly. I
- 9:08Speaker 1: don't hold on too much.
- 9:10Speaker 5: You know.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I'll sit here and someone does something to me and
- 9:12Speaker 1: I'll yap, yap, yap in the second they say like
- 9:15Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm like, what even happened? Let's paint each
- 9:19Speaker 1: other's tone nails, like I like forgive and forget. Yeah.
- 9:22Speaker 1: But other than that, like I thought, I thought James
- 9:25Speaker 1: was hilarious, really funny. James is the most brilliant reality
- 9:30Speaker 1: TV personality ever because you watch him and you literally
- 9:36Speaker 1: like it's like a camera isn't even on him right,
- 9:38Speaker 1: the way he moves, the way he is talking, and
- 9:40Speaker 1: it's like he really doesn't see the camera at.
- 9:44Speaker 2: All, which is like everything you want, everything you want
- 9:47Speaker 2: to start.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Yeah, Like you watch him and you see the veins
- 9:50Speaker 1: you see you know for me, like, yes, I maneuver
- 9:54Speaker 1: with filming and whatever, but like I'm aware of my angles. Yeah,
- 9:59Speaker 1: not all the time. This season, I was like laying
- 10:02Speaker 1: on the couch while Santaval got his makeup done. I
- 10:04Speaker 1: was like, Lala, up, you got a lot of chance happening.
- 10:09Speaker 1: You're not looking your best. That's what happens when I
- 10:14Speaker 1: get too comfortable and I'm like it's reality TV whatever. Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 1: and then I watch it back and I'm like, geez no,
- 10:22Speaker 1: why did you decide to stuff yourself into that Dunham
- 10:25Speaker 1: Lug loved the Dunhim Lug. I remember you being like,
- 10:31Speaker 1: oh the dnim look. And then I saw it and
- 10:32Speaker 1: I'm like, what is this girl talking about? I was like,
- 10:35Speaker 1: she's working it now, that's my own insecurity. But whatever.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I mean, the the reunion I thought was great.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Wait, I have a question about James and Raquel because
- 10:45Speaker 3: you brought up James. Did you guys know that that
- 10:49Speaker 3: everything had kind of gone south before? And you were
- 10:51Speaker 3: just acting like.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Not even a little bit, really, not even a little bit.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I was texting Sheena and I was like, I'm freaking out,
- 10:58Speaker 1: like I'm not allowed to come to the reunion because
- 11:01Speaker 1: I had a COVID exposure. I didn't never get COVID,
- 11:04Speaker 1: by the way, And she was like James and Raquel,
- 11:09Speaker 1: like James is on ten and Raquel seems very down.
- 11:13Speaker 1: And I was like, that's weird. But no one told
- 11:15Speaker 1: us anything, and they certainly didn't tell us until they
- 11:19Speaker 1: were on camera, and.
- 11:21Speaker 3: You guys all found out because okay, because I'm like
- 11:25Speaker 3: looking at your reactions and I was like, if they
- 11:27Speaker 3: all knew before, they're like brilliant actors.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think so. The people who were actually
- 11:34Speaker 1: in studio knew before, and they weren't allowed to tell
- 11:38Speaker 1: us because they had started they had started filming. I
- 11:40Speaker 1: mean literally, I found out that I had been exposed
- 11:43Speaker 1: to COVID Friday morning. The car was in my driveway
- 11:48Speaker 1: ready to pick me up, I remember, and they just
- 11:51Speaker 1: sat there for hours waiting for me to come down.
- 11:54Speaker 1: That was probably eight am, yeah, eight am.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and you were up just I'm just saying that
- 12:00Speaker 3: because I was like, Lalla had the longest day that
- 12:03Speaker 3: day because Lalla was up by like five.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Well, I was doing my own GLAMs yeah, and like, yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 1: I didn't like it. I wanted to have time to
- 12:11Speaker 1: switch it up. Yeah, you know. And then at three
- 12:14Speaker 1: o'clock is when we started, they were like, you absolutely
- 12:17Speaker 1: can't come, so we're having a crew come and drop
- 12:22Speaker 1: things off and then you had to set everything up.
- 12:24Speaker 1: They dropped it off in front of the door.
- 12:25Speaker 3: You guys, I'm the least technologically savvy person ever, and
- 12:30Speaker 3: I set up the whole thing. Granted it was it
- 12:34Speaker 3: was like a laptop and like a microphone, but I
- 12:36Speaker 3: did it.
- 12:37Speaker 1: You did it. I couldn't have done it. There were
- 12:39Speaker 1: chords everywhere. And we started at three. So by the
- 12:42Speaker 1: time they told us, like on the virtual end, that
- 12:45Speaker 1: they had broken up, Like, yes, I was shocked. I
- 12:48Speaker 1: was also exhausted. I had been dealing with so much. Yeah,
- 12:52Speaker 1: I was ready to like share my truth and I
- 12:56Speaker 1: was like this is so sad, yeah, but also kind
- 13:01Speaker 1: of amazing. I mean, one are the fucking chances of
- 13:04Speaker 1: James and I being the most buckwhild together like we
- 13:08Speaker 1: were so fun, yeah, settling down and then we're like,
- 13:11Speaker 1: we don't feel like doing this anymore. Bad bitch. You know,
- 13:17Speaker 1: what are the odds? Why here we are? And he
- 13:20Speaker 1: posted something of him like holding hands with a girl
- 13:23Speaker 1: on his Instagram. It popped up on my breaking news break.
- 13:27Speaker 3: No La la, I screenshotted it stuff. Yeah, well I
- 13:30Speaker 3: screen shot at it because I'm like, I'm gonna show
- 13:31Speaker 3: this slala tomorrow and then I forgot.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yeah, don't worry, my mom has breaking news and that
- 13:36Speaker 1: was on there. I texted him. I was like, yo, yo, kid,
- 13:40Speaker 1: who is this? Who is this? And he told me, yeah,
- 13:45Speaker 1: I'm not going to tell you guys. That's my boy,
- 13:49Speaker 1: just like it. And when I tell him who I'm
- 13:52Speaker 1: doing fun stuff, yeah, he's not gonna tell anybody either.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I love it, you know, probably because there's gonna be
- 13:59Speaker 1: too many names to remember that I'm doing fun stuff with.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I love that. Rock them up, Jess.
- 14:05Speaker 3: If Bander Pump Rolls is picked up for another season,
- 14:09Speaker 3: now the season's over, yeah, what do you foresee next season?
- 14:14Speaker 3: Being like you and come on, I'm tuning in to
- 14:17Speaker 3: see what Lala and James are doing James.
- 14:19Speaker 1: And Lalla's dating show. Obviously, I'm going to parade these
- 14:23Speaker 1: fine men onto this show like little show ponies. I'm
- 14:26Speaker 1: just kidding. I'm totally not like that. I say that
- 14:29Speaker 1: I am, and I'm like, no, I really like him.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I'm protecting him.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Oh that'll be good, that'll be good. I guess we'll
- 14:37Speaker 2: have to wait and see.
- 14:37Speaker 1: No, James and I are gonna get buck wild. Yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 1: with our sparkling water, our fine little people that we're
- 14:44Speaker 1: going to bring in and out even if they're not
- 14:46Speaker 1: on camera. It's like this summer is going to be
- 14:49Speaker 1: the goat, right. I just know it.
- 14:51Speaker 2: I know it too, I can feel it.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yeah. So the reunion I thought was great from what
- 14:57Speaker 1: I can remember, well good, you know.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 1: With that being said, do we have voicemails? We have voicemails.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I want this episode to be the voicemail episode.
- 15:07Speaker 2: That's fun because we have a good amount.
- 15:10Speaker 1: All right, So when we come back, I'm going to
- 15:14Speaker 1: grace you guys with these amazing voicemails, and I want
- 15:17Speaker 1: you to remember to call me at one eight sixty
- 15:19Speaker 1: six La La Pod to share all of your thoughts,
- 15:22Speaker 1: your hopes, your dreams. Let's talk about it. We'll be
- 15:26Speaker 1: right back.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Weird Bed.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Can you just landed from outer space? We give them
- 15:37Speaker 1: a LA podcast The voicemail episode Jess, can we roll
- 15:42Speaker 1: the first one? Please? Rolling the voicemails?
- 15:45Speaker 6: Hi, La La, I'm calling all the way from Canada.
- 15:48Speaker 6: My name's Alana and I'm a huge kind of yours
- 15:52Speaker 6: love the podcast. We have a lot in common. We're
- 15:56Speaker 6: the same age, we are both newly single mama, and
- 16:01Speaker 6: my question for you is what is the best advice
- 16:06Speaker 6: you can give me and all the other women currently
- 16:10Speaker 6: going through this for how the best ways you are
- 16:15Speaker 6: helping yourself to move on, to move forward, to be productive.
- 16:20Speaker 6: As you know, this is such a hard process and
- 16:24Speaker 6: I am trying to navigate myself the best way possible.
- 16:29Speaker 6: But some extra tips and tricks of anything that's worked
- 16:33Speaker 6: for you would be greatly appreciated.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Oh my love, I mean, cheers
- 16:41Speaker 1: to the single moms. Cheers right yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Superheroes, literal superheroes.
- 16:48Speaker 1: We're out in these streets representing and I am proud
- 16:51Speaker 1: of us. I think the most important thing is practicing
- 16:57Speaker 1: self care. You know. I I like my days to
- 17:01Speaker 1: be productive. I don't like to sleep in obviously, I
- 17:03Speaker 1: can't sleep in because I have a baby, and having
- 17:07Speaker 1: a to do list, you know, I didn't really have
- 17:11Speaker 1: much time to kind of sit and wallow in what
- 17:13Speaker 1: was going on. Like I had to keep moving, you know,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I have bills to pay. I was moving, like my
- 17:20Speaker 1: life was flipped upside down in a matter of seconds,
- 17:24Speaker 1: you know. So for me, I think that was extremely
- 17:28Speaker 1: helpful to know, like I have to work. If you
- 17:32Speaker 1: aren't a working mom, then getting outside planning walks like
- 17:37Speaker 1: the other day, I was feeling like I just wanted
- 17:39Speaker 1: to stay in bed that day. You know, we're allowed
- 17:41Speaker 1: to have those moments, and I didn't allow myself to.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I said, I'm going on a freaking hike. Yeah, and
- 17:47Speaker 1: it snapped me right out of it. So I think
- 17:50Speaker 1: going outside, having a to do list, making time for
- 17:54Speaker 1: your girlfriends, and just getting out of like the shit
- 17:58Speaker 1: that we're in. My biggest thing is the mind is
- 18:02Speaker 1: a very powerful thing, and if you allow your mind
- 18:06Speaker 1: to take you to a dark place, you have to
- 18:09Speaker 1: know if your mind is powerful enough to do that,
- 18:11Speaker 1: your mind is also powerful enough to bring you out
- 18:14Speaker 1: of it. No one ever focuses on that side of it.
- 18:17Speaker 1: You know, it's like the mind is a powerful thing.
- 18:19Speaker 1: It can put you in a hole. Well, if it's
- 18:20Speaker 1: powerful enough to put me in a hole, then it's
- 18:22Speaker 1: sure it's a powerful enough to pull me on out right.
- 18:25Speaker 1: So yes, So when I get into those zones, I'm
- 18:30Speaker 1: trying very hard to shift my mindset, like, no, you
- 18:34Speaker 1: will not break today. We're going to keep it moving
- 18:38Speaker 1: because for me, it's not so much about the loss
- 18:41Speaker 1: of that person, like I feel free, I feel liberated,
- 18:44Speaker 1: I'm happy. It's the shift in things. Yeah, you know,
- 18:50Speaker 1: people get comfortable and even if you're not happy. It's
- 18:52Speaker 1: kind of like a job. You're unhappy at a job,
- 18:54Speaker 1: but you're nervous to leave because it's all you know.
- 18:57Speaker 1: And then once you're out, you're like, oh my god,
- 18:58Speaker 1: I'm so free with yeah you know what I mean. Yeah, free, but.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Change, it's changed, and it might be holy shit, like
- 19:09Speaker 3: especially if you were in that job for a long time, yes,
- 19:12Speaker 3: and you had like you know all you were comfortable, right,
- 19:15Speaker 3: unhappy and you.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Leave and then it's like, oh my.
- 19:17Speaker 1: God, yes, yeah, that's exactly what it's like, Oh my god,
- 19:21Speaker 1: because you're used to doing the same thing all the time,
- 19:23Speaker 1: and when you venture out into something new, new challenges
- 19:26Speaker 1: present themselves, and sometimes new challenges are scarier than you
- 19:32Speaker 1: just being unhappy every day, but you were used to that,
- 19:35Speaker 1: so it was like something that became normal. Yeah. Yeah,
- 19:38Speaker 1: So remember give your mind some credit. We're much stronger
- 19:41Speaker 1: than we think. Like, talk yourself out of that hole.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Your mind can talk you out of it, just like
- 19:47Speaker 1: it can talk you into it. Your mind is so powerful,
- 19:51Speaker 1: mind over matter. My grandmama always said, well, thank God
- 19:54Speaker 1: for Grandmama, because you feel sick, pretend like you don't
- 19:58Speaker 1: feel sick. And I was like, oh shit, I don't
- 20:00Speaker 1: I feel sick anymore.
- 20:01Speaker 3: It's actually crazy. You know, you can think yourself into
- 20:04Speaker 3: being sick. Can you do it a lot?
- 20:06Speaker 1: I did it all the time in school. I was like,
- 20:08Speaker 1: I need myself to get a headache right now, let's
- 20:10Speaker 1: just skip this toast. What's the next day? All right?
- 20:15Speaker 2: Next one?
- 20:16Speaker 7: Hi, Lala, My name is Becca from Fana Barbara, California,
- 20:20Speaker 7: and your podcast is entertaining his buck and I want
- 20:24Speaker 7: to thank you for giving me something new to listen
- 20:26Speaker 7: to every week, and not only that, but something that's
- 20:30Speaker 7: insightful and something that I can relate to. I'm sure
- 20:32Speaker 7: everyone appreciates that as well. My question just has been
- 20:38Speaker 7: living rent free in my mind for so long. You
- 20:41Speaker 7: mentioned in an interview that you broke through a hurricane
- 20:44Speaker 7: proof window, and I'm just really really curious about how
- 20:49Speaker 7: the hell that happens. Explain how a small, beautiful woman
- 20:54Speaker 7: like you can do that. I really like to know.
- 20:58Speaker 7: Thank you, and yeah, maybe I'll I'll hear the answer eventually.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Well, thank you, Becca. I love this question, and I
- 21:06Speaker 1: actually talk about this in my book. I'm still very
- 21:09Speaker 1: confused how I did that. You have to remember, like
- 21:13Speaker 1: I talk about, I talk about my my drunken days often.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I feel like they're important to talk about because so
- 21:21Speaker 1: many people around me when I diagnosed myself as an
- 21:26Speaker 1: alcoholic and came out as that that were like, you
- 21:28Speaker 1: don't have a drinking problem, what are you talking about?
- 21:30Speaker 1: And it was like, well, let me share some stories
- 21:32Speaker 1: with you, because these stories led up to my rock bottom,
- 21:37Speaker 1: which ultimately led me to being sober for over three
- 21:40Speaker 1: years now. All right, So I have to pay respect
- 21:45Speaker 1: to my messy days because without them, I wouldn't be
- 21:48Speaker 1: here right now. The hurricane proof glass window. I just remember,
- 21:57Speaker 1: I have very strong legs. Yes, obviously, And I don't
- 22:02Speaker 1: know if it was where the heel hit the glass window,
- 22:06Speaker 1: but it hit like where, like the frame of the
- 22:10Speaker 1: door and then the glass. Does that make sense? So
- 22:12Speaker 1: it wasn't It wasn't a window. It was like a door,
- 22:15Speaker 1: like a glass door, and where they meet that's where
- 22:20Speaker 1: the crack started. And it did not shatter. It was
- 22:23Speaker 1: a perfect circle. Stop.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Wait, the glass just blew out.
- 22:28Speaker 1: It didn't blow out at all. It was just a crack,
- 22:32Speaker 1: but it didn't shatter. It just had a perfect like break,
- 22:35Speaker 1: a perfect circular brake. But the window was still there.
- 22:39Speaker 1: It needed to be replaced. Oh but like they have
- 22:43Speaker 1: those windows for hurricanes.
- 22:47Speaker 3: When I read it in your book, No, Lie, I
- 22:49Speaker 3: pictured you. I pictured this window getting smashed out and
- 22:53Speaker 3: then you just gracefully like stepping through the part that
- 22:55Speaker 3: you smashed.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Oh, that would be so much more entertaining. No, unfortunate.
- 23:00Speaker 1: It was just like I kicked it and I didn't
- 23:02Speaker 1: go through it. There was no shattering, there was no
- 23:05Speaker 1: big bang from the glass. It was just like a
- 23:08Speaker 1: perfect hairline circular crack. Okay, so you must have hit
- 23:13Speaker 1: it just right, just right with my black Christian Leubitan
- 23:17Speaker 1: and I was fully naked.
- 23:20Speaker 2: That's what they're made for.
- 23:21Speaker 1: That's what they're made for. I mean, can I tell
- 23:25Speaker 1: you now though in my sober state of mind in
- 23:28Speaker 1: thirty one and with a baby, like I would never
- 23:33Speaker 1: do that. I had no shit.
- 23:36Speaker 2: There's so much that I like, background that I've done.
- 23:39Speaker 1: And I'm like, I can't even process it. No, Like
- 23:43Speaker 1: back in the Day season four, I like push Kristen Dody,
- 23:47Speaker 1: huh and that's I was like, I cannot even fathom
- 23:53Speaker 1: walking up to someone I'm shoving them, Like what the fuck?
- 23:58Speaker 7: See?
- 23:58Speaker 1: But that's what happened. You're sober. Now you're a different person.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I'm a different person and thankfully, like I'm happy about
- 24:07Speaker 1: my evolution. Yeah, I'm all about it. And I mean
- 24:11Speaker 1: it made for great television.
- 24:13Speaker 7: You know.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Wait, was the hurricane proof glass smash on Vanderpunk.
- 24:18Speaker 1: No, that was not smashed on vander p That was
- 24:21Speaker 1: on our off season. Okay in Florida.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Did you have a moment though where you you saw
- 24:28Speaker 3: that you did that?
- 24:29Speaker 2: Because I would and be like, oh, I'm kind of
- 24:31Speaker 2: bad ass, Like.
- 24:32Speaker 1: No, but I looked at my these like scrawny legs,
- 24:35Speaker 1: and I was like what the fuck you know, how
- 24:42Speaker 1: did you do that? Did you do that? Yes?
- 24:45Speaker 3: Oh that's funny.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Why? Okay? I have straw legged like my mother. You guys.
- 24:53Speaker 3: The past like four days, Lalla has had this energy
- 24:58Speaker 3: that I don't know.
- 24:58Speaker 1: It's like it's like just a little euphoric.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like happy and quirky, and she's like a
- 25:04Speaker 3: stand up comedian all of a sudden, and I'm like,
- 25:06Speaker 3: who are you?
- 25:07Speaker 1: I want to bottle it up. It's probably called delirium.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Is that the word delirium where you're like so tired
- 25:14Speaker 1: and you get no sleep at night? Yes, dealirium. Yeah, okay, okay, okay,
- 25:19Speaker 1: next voice me, Kaula.
- 25:22Speaker 8: It's Caroline from North Carolina. Here. I just wanted to
- 25:26Speaker 8: see if you would ever start doing maybe an advice
- 25:29Speaker 8: segment on your podcast where people could write in with
- 25:33Speaker 8: their problems. I feel like you would give some really
- 25:35Speaker 8: woke advice, and I know I could sure use it sometimes. Anyway.
- 25:40Speaker 8: I hope you're doing well with everything. You and Ocean
- 25:43Speaker 8: are the cutest. I love you though so much.
- 25:45Speaker 1: All right, nice Caroline from North Carolina. I love that
- 25:49Speaker 1: she's that you said woke advice. I know not necessarily good,
- 25:53Speaker 1: but woke. That's what cool kids say. Now I know,
- 25:57Speaker 1: do they still say that woke?
- 25:59Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 26:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I don't know who knows. For so long everyone was like, yolo,
- 26:03Speaker 1: I'm so woke, and I was like, what what, Like
- 26:08Speaker 1: a ninety year old, that's actually a great idea. I mean,
- 26:12Speaker 1: my advice just comes from what I've personally been through,
- 26:16Speaker 1: and just like the mindset that I try to stay
- 26:19Speaker 1: in because I'm I'm not always great at practicing what
- 26:24Speaker 1: I preach. Great at preaching, not so great at the practicing.
- 26:29Speaker 4: You know.
- 26:29Speaker 1: It's kind of like do your homework and then like
- 26:33Speaker 1: you never did your homework when you were a kid,
- 26:35Speaker 1: you know, like when you're a mom and you're like
- 26:36Speaker 1: telling you, like, read the book that your teacher told
- 26:39Speaker 1: you to read, and you know, good and goddamn well,
- 26:41Speaker 1: like you didn't read? You didn't you? Cliff know? At best?
- 26:43Speaker 1: At best? At best, walk me into Barnes and Noble
- 26:47Speaker 1: and find me that like little thing that translates Shakespeare
- 26:51Speaker 1: into layman's terms. And then when you go to test,
- 26:55Speaker 1: it's all Shakespeare and you're like, I might aop right,
- 27:03Speaker 1: let's yeah, So that's what I the equivalent to what
- 27:06Speaker 1: I do. I guess No, that's a great idea. We
- 27:09Speaker 1: should have like a section of the podcast like every
- 27:11Speaker 1: so often where it's like, ride in with your problems
- 27:13Speaker 1: and let me try to teach you the ways. I mean,
- 27:18Speaker 1: I kind of.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Feel like that's a little bit what the voicemail thing is.
- 27:21Speaker 1: But voicemails are the voicemails are bombed because yes, that
- 27:25Speaker 1: is thank you, Justine. It's actually literally what I'm doing?
- 27:32Speaker 2: What are we doing here?
- 27:33Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 27:35Speaker 1: I mean, it's hard for me because, like during the reunion,
- 27:39Speaker 1: even Andy was asking me, like what red Flags did
- 27:44Speaker 1: Brock show to you? And I was like, I think
- 27:47Speaker 1: we can all agree that I'm not an expert at
- 27:50Speaker 1: red Flags, So I am going to plead the fifth
- 27:54Speaker 1: on this one. Can we move on like tortureus? Yeah?
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but now you are you're an expert.
- 28:01Speaker 1: I know, too much of an expert. Because now when
- 28:04Speaker 1: people ride in with their relationship problems or call into
- 28:06Speaker 1: the podcast right as they say anything, I'm like, leave
- 28:10Speaker 1: him right, run you might be a little too quick.
- 28:13Speaker 2: You'll find a happy medium.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I'll find a happy medium. I'm going to find like
- 28:16Speaker 1: the best dude ever where like there's little things he
- 28:19Speaker 1: does where it's like, Okay, that's annoying. Not necessarily a
- 28:22Speaker 1: red flag. Right now, I'm like, everything is a red flag? Right,
- 28:27Speaker 1: run away? Right, you don't, Lala?
- 28:29Speaker 2: My husband burned the chicken.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Leave him? Leave him? What was he doing? Was he
- 28:34Speaker 1: on his phone? Was he on his phone when it burned?
- 28:37Speaker 1: What is he doing on his phone? Red flag? Get out?
- 28:42Speaker 1: That's exactly what it is. So we'll give me some
- 28:44Speaker 1: time to simmern down smart. All right, We're gonna take
- 28:48Speaker 1: a short break, and then I want to come back
- 28:51Speaker 1: with more voicemails, because this is the voicemail episode. So
- 28:54Speaker 1: remember to call me at one eight six six la
- 28:57Speaker 1: la pad. We'll be right back. We're back in Perrie,
- 29:09Speaker 1: especially passed and giving me all the fizz, all the feels.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Sorry fizz made sense that that's so funny? All right, Jessica,
- 29:20Speaker 1: what's the next voice? Melville?
- 29:22Speaker 4: Okay, Hi, Lala, this is a tissuy. I'm calling from Atlanta.
- 29:26Speaker 4: I love you. Love how strong you are and how
- 29:30Speaker 4: you take every punch, whether to the chint or to
- 29:33Speaker 4: the gut, as a learning opportunity and a reason to
- 29:38Speaker 4: get stronger. And so I've noticed this every time and
- 29:41Speaker 4: listen to the podcast. You're always giving so much to us,
- 29:45Speaker 4: to your listeners and to your followers and fans. And
- 29:49Speaker 4: my question for you is, with your upcoming tour, a
- 29:53Speaker 4: lot of us are coming to see you and meet
- 29:55Speaker 4: you like I am, and I would love to know
- 29:58Speaker 4: what can we do to support you and give back
- 30:02Speaker 4: to you and help you feel just that extra rush
- 30:05Speaker 4: of love and support because you've gone through so much
- 30:08Speaker 4: and know a lot of us would just love to
- 30:11Speaker 4: help give back to you as well. Love you your amazing,
- 30:15Speaker 4: Give Ocean my love and see you soon.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Bye. That was like the sweetest voicemail I've ever heard ever. No,
- 30:26Speaker 1: I mean, yes, I have been the through it the
- 30:31Speaker 1: past few months, but I feel like on this tour,
- 30:37Speaker 1: just people showing up is going to be enough for me.
- 30:42Speaker 1: You know, I've I've always been the type of person
- 30:45Speaker 1: where it's like I'm just looking for like quality time.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I'm looking for you to share your experiences for us
- 30:51Speaker 1: to bond over and talk about, and that for me
- 30:54Speaker 1: is like the ultimate support system.
- 30:57Speaker 4: You know.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Yeah, you could also me a burken back. I'm just kidding.
- 31:04Speaker 1: I'm totally kidding. I just want this night to have
- 31:07Speaker 1: like an impact on people, right, you know, And that
- 31:10Speaker 1: doesn't necessarily mean like I want you to leave feeling
- 31:13Speaker 1: like you just went to church or went to a
- 31:16Speaker 1: what's that guy's name? What you get stuck on the
- 31:19Speaker 1: elevator with shallow? How have you seen the movie Wants
- 31:26Speaker 1: a Gal?
- 31:26Speaker 9: Yes?
- 31:28Speaker 1: What's the toy? Tony Robbins Robbins, Yes, yes, Okay, Like
- 31:33Speaker 1: that's not what I mean by it being impactful, like
- 31:35Speaker 1: you coming in and I just performed at Tony Robbins
- 31:39Speaker 1: ceremony ceremony, you know, but like I want you to
- 31:43Speaker 1: come in. I want you to have a drink. I
- 31:45Speaker 1: want you to bring a book if you want it signed.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I want to like get you a good buzz. I
- 31:51Speaker 1: want you to laugh your ass off. I want you
- 31:54Speaker 1: to sit here and like you want me to call
- 31:57Speaker 1: somebody like did someone do you dirty? And they need
- 31:59Speaker 1: to get a phone call from Lalla, Like have them
- 32:01Speaker 1: on speed dial, motherfucker, because we're calling them up.
- 32:05Speaker 2: How fun is that? Laala just teased the segment that
- 32:08Speaker 2: she came.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Up with you guys, Was I supposed to do that? Jess?
- 32:11Speaker 2: No, But let's keep it in because that is spicy.
- 32:15Speaker 1: That's yeah, you can.
- 32:17Speaker 7: You can.
- 32:17Speaker 2: You don't have to go into details, but you guys.
- 32:20Speaker 1: No, that's what I want to do. I wanted to
- 32:23Speaker 1: be like, oh my gosh, that was the best night ever.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I feel so good and like, I also feel like
- 32:28Speaker 1: tomorrow at work, my boss could roll up on me
- 32:30Speaker 1: and be like you need.
- 32:31Speaker 3: To do this and be like, fuck you, Lala's gonna
- 32:35Speaker 3: get everyone losing their jobs.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Everyone. I don't want that. No, I don't want that
- 32:39Speaker 1: at all, but you know what I mean, like, I
- 32:41Speaker 1: want you to leave feeling you for it how I've
- 32:45Speaker 1: been feeling and confident I know. So that's what they
- 32:49Speaker 1: could give to me. They could show up, they can
- 32:52Speaker 1: catch a good buzz and like I need them to.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I need them to be on fire, on fire. This
- 33:00Speaker 1: is not a tour for the week, right. I need
- 33:05Speaker 1: you to show up. I need you to make that
- 33:06Speaker 1: eye contact, I need you to laugh, I need you
- 33:09Speaker 1: to put your two cents in. You better come ready
- 33:12Speaker 1: to participate, because this isn't where you're sitting back to
- 33:15Speaker 1: enjoy a show, like, yes, that's what we're gonna do,
- 33:18Speaker 1: but like we're hanging out yep.
- 33:22Speaker 3: I know it's gonna be awesome, it's you're gonna I mean,
- 33:26Speaker 3: she's like down to like She's like, I'm gonna be
- 33:29Speaker 3: talking to them and like like, Lala, this isn't this
- 33:34Speaker 3: is like your show.
- 33:35Speaker 1: She's like, no, no, no, it's our show. It's our show,
- 33:38Speaker 1: me and my people. Yes, I need people to come
- 33:40Speaker 1: unfiltered because we're gonna talk about it. Yeah, it's going
- 33:47Speaker 1: to be the best time ever, I know. Should we
- 33:50Speaker 1: tell people where we're going first, let's do it all right.
- 33:53Speaker 1: We are starting to give them Lalla brand new tour
- 33:56Speaker 1: in Irvine, California. Then we will be in Fort lauder Day, Clearwater, Orlando, Hotlanta, Nashville, Tennessee.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Ye huh, Houston, Austin, and Dallas. Yes when I hit
- 34:11Speaker 1: these places up. If you think I'm not going to
- 34:12Speaker 1: be patrolling for some points, oh I am all right.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Next place smail.
- 34:20Speaker 9: Okay, Hey Lala, my name is Joe. I listen to
- 34:23Speaker 9: your podcast every Wednesday and I love it. I was
- 34:27Speaker 9: wondering if during a time that's really difficult, like the
- 34:31Speaker 9: one you're going through now, how many of your quote
- 34:35Speaker 9: friends have you had to stop being friends with? How
- 34:40Speaker 9: many of them have showed their true colors? And how
- 34:43Speaker 9: do you deal with the loss of a relationship and
- 34:47Speaker 9: potentially the loss of some of your friends.
- 34:50Speaker 8: I hope you guys are having a great time and.
- 34:52Speaker 4: I love the podcast.
- 34:53Speaker 8: Keep up the good work, say.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I love this question. I don't know if I've a
- 35:00Speaker 1: dressed this on the podcast before on this podcast, I
- 35:02Speaker 1: know I have addressed it, but we did a podcast
- 35:05Speaker 1: after we filmed the reunion and I said, no one
- 35:10Speaker 1: reached out to me, only Raquel did, and I like
- 35:13Speaker 1: fixated on this like one point in time, which was
- 35:15Speaker 1: after the reunion, and I did address this on Watch
- 35:19Speaker 1: Wrappins Live. But I want to say this, My group
- 35:23Speaker 1: of friends that are on the show, so they're my
- 35:25Speaker 1: cast members and my friends have been very supportive, beyond,
- 35:33Speaker 1: like extremely And I feel badly that during that moment
- 35:37Speaker 1: doing that podcast after the reunion that I fixated on
- 35:40Speaker 1: like just like my emotions were running so high. I
- 35:43Speaker 1: probably should have taken a step back. But now we
- 35:46Speaker 1: all know we saw you. You were very emotion very emotions.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, beyond that group has been absolutely incredible. I
- 35:56Speaker 1: mean Tom has yet to acknowledge what I'm going through.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Tom Sandival, but I wouldn't expect anything less. I just
- 36:04Speaker 1: I take him for who he is. I ask him
- 36:06Speaker 1: about his bar, we talk about him a lot. It's
- 36:10Speaker 1: fine whatever. And then Ariana, you know, I sometimes don't
- 36:14Speaker 1: think she knows how to approach me, and maybe that's
- 36:16Speaker 1: my faults. But the rest of the group, they've been
- 36:21Speaker 1: like all hands on deck, what do you need, I'll
- 36:23Speaker 1: drop everything for you. That's important to say this point
- 36:27Speaker 1: in time. Also, like I look forward to people showing
- 36:31Speaker 1: their true colors. I look forward to burning the bridge
- 36:36Speaker 1: with people who do not deserve to be in my presence.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Have I had to do that? Not really, I've actually
- 36:42Speaker 1: gained I have. I have more friends around me now
- 36:45Speaker 1: than I had before all of this happened. Yeh, Like
- 36:49Speaker 1: people have just like really stepped up for me. And
- 36:53Speaker 1: you know, showing true colors can come in both forms.
- 36:57Speaker 1: It can be like I've seen your true colors and
- 36:59Speaker 1: you're a shitty person, or like, holy shit, you really
- 37:03Speaker 1: are at ten and I need you around. And I've
- 37:06Speaker 1: had a lot of that. So I think when you
- 37:10Speaker 1: go through a difficult time like this for me, I
- 37:14Speaker 1: don't have time. Yeah, if you are displaying like you're
- 37:19Speaker 1: torn in between the two, I'll make it easy for
- 37:21Speaker 1: you goodbye. Yeah, because this is actually real easy, you know,
- 37:28Speaker 1: like there's two sides. You can come over here or
- 37:33Speaker 1: you choose otherwise. And if that's the case, then your
- 37:36Speaker 1: true colors have shown. And I don't want you anywhere
- 37:39Speaker 1: near me. Don't call me, don't talk about me, leave
- 37:44Speaker 1: my name at your mouth, go away.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I thoroughly enjoy burning bridges right now. Yeah, very productive.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I also thoroughly enjoy building them. So we're on both sides, yes, exactly. Yeah,
- 38:01Speaker 1: And maybe that's why I feel that way, is because
- 38:03Speaker 1: like my support system is strong, Like I don't have
- 38:07Speaker 1: new people around me, right like I have the soldiers
- 38:11Speaker 1: you know, yeah, who've been with me for a long time,
- 38:14Speaker 1: tried and true. Yes, correct. Yeah, So then answer the question.
- 38:22Speaker 1: I think you did.
- 38:23Speaker 2: No, I think you definitely did.
- 38:24Speaker 3: I'm curious because so you're blessed, you've had a lot
- 38:28Speaker 3: of people, like you just said, your soldiers, tried and true.
- 38:32Speaker 3: You haven't really had to say bye bye to anyone.
- 38:35Speaker 3: But I am curious, have you ever been in a
- 38:38Speaker 3: situation just for people who have gone through this, because
- 38:40Speaker 3: I've I've been in that situation. I have a boyfriend,
- 38:44Speaker 3: I you know, I dated a guy for four years
- 38:46Speaker 3: and we all had like.
- 38:47Speaker 2: This isn't the guy I'm with now?
- 38:49Speaker 1: This is different guy? Yeah, but same friends. We all
- 38:52Speaker 1: ended up.
- 38:52Speaker 3: I made friends with his friends, he made friends with
- 38:54Speaker 3: my friends, and when we broke up, it was a
- 38:57Speaker 3: difficult breakup. It wasn't one of these was like, oh,
- 39:00Speaker 3: we've just mutually.
- 39:01Speaker 1: It was bad. It was dramatic.
- 39:03Speaker 3: And then I was in this weird position where I'm like, well,
- 39:06Speaker 3: can I reach out to his friends?
- 39:07Speaker 4: No?
- 39:08Speaker 3: If they see me that, like some of them would
- 39:10Speaker 3: see me at the bar and turn around, like what
- 39:12Speaker 3: do you feel about that?
- 39:13Speaker 2: Like friends, I mean, are you in the same boat?
- 39:16Speaker 3: It's like yeah, bye, if you don't want to talk
- 39:19Speaker 3: to me, and or is it something you should reach
- 39:22Speaker 3: out to those people? Hey, I know it's weird we
- 39:25Speaker 3: broke up, but I really still want to be your friend.
- 39:27Speaker 1: If they were people that we met with each other then,
- 39:37Speaker 1: which which was rare, Like I don't I don't think
- 39:39Speaker 1: that we had any friends that we like met together
- 39:42Speaker 1: and we were coupled up together, right, it was either
- 39:44Speaker 1: like my group of friends or his. I I couldn't
- 39:51Speaker 1: even name one of his friends to be honest, like
- 39:54Speaker 1: there's not really any so that was easy. It was ain't.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Nobody reached out too, is what it is. And then
- 40:05Speaker 1: with my friends, you know, if they if they felt
- 40:07Speaker 1: like they wanted to communicate with him, then then I
- 40:10Speaker 1: don't need to talk to you anymore. Yeah, you know, Yeah,
- 40:14Speaker 1: I'm very transparent, right, Like, whether it's this situation or
- 40:21Speaker 1: past situations. I let you know what I need from
- 40:26Speaker 1: you as a friend. If you can't provide that, there
- 40:28Speaker 1: there are gonna be times where it's like I've accepted
- 40:30Speaker 1: you for exactly who you are, now you have to
- 40:32Speaker 1: do the same for me. If we can both do that,
- 40:34Speaker 1: then we move on as a friend group. But when
- 40:36Speaker 1: it gets deep like this, like I'll be honest, let's
- 40:40Speaker 1: say Jackson britt broke up, but I'm picking Brittany. I
- 40:45Speaker 1: think they all are right, they're not gonna break up,
- 40:48Speaker 1: but let's just say they did. Yeah, Britney.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Is there a world though, where you stay friends with
- 40:54Speaker 3: both of them if they're both okay with it?
- 40:57Speaker 2: Are you staying or is it?
- 40:58Speaker 3: Does it feel weird to you person and you're like,
- 41:00Speaker 3: you know what, No, I just don't want to I'd
- 41:04Speaker 3: rather pick a side.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Or is there a world where you're like, we're all friends.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Is there a world where people break up and it's
- 41:10Speaker 1: like we still love each other letting out? Because if
- 41:12Speaker 1: that's the case, then then you guys gonna be broken up,
- 41:15Speaker 1: but we're still all hanging out together, right right? Yeah,
- 41:18Speaker 1: this is like an episode of front Yeah, where like
- 41:21Speaker 1: Ross and Rachel break up, they still all hang out together. Yeah,
- 41:24Speaker 1: but in the real world, that's not how it works. Right,
- 41:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna assume that it's not a great breakup and
- 41:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna see Britny Okay, Yeah, and I choose Brittany.
- 41:34Speaker 1: So why here's that? Yeah, you know that makes sense? Yeah,
- 41:38Speaker 1: these are my girlfriends. We have babies. Yeah, again, Jacks
- 41:43Speaker 1: and Brittany are not breaking up. That was just an
- 41:46Speaker 1: example of picking even Jacksons, We've all told him, like
- 41:52Speaker 1: we're always gonna pick Brittany.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Well, she's great.
- 41:56Speaker 3: If you do have a story, a very interesting like
- 42:00Speaker 3: story like that, who do they.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Call la la?
- 42:04Speaker 5: Oh?
- 42:04Speaker 1: They call one aces six la lapad. Yes, I want
- 42:06Speaker 1: to know, like, have you ever gone through a breakup
- 42:09Speaker 1: and then you've been whether it's you've had other people
- 42:12Speaker 1: have to pick sides or you've had to pick sides. Yeah,
- 42:16Speaker 1: because what if the two people, like in my situation,
- 42:18Speaker 1: it's pretty fucking easy, who saide, You're gonna pick right,
- 42:20Speaker 1: like no brain nerve, right, But what if the two
- 42:25Speaker 1: people are like really dope, which in most cases I'm
- 42:28Speaker 1: sure that it's like, oh, but I like both of
- 42:31Speaker 1: them are really great people.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Well, it happens a lot. It happened to a friend
- 42:35Speaker 3: of mine and she it was awkward for a little bit.
- 42:37Speaker 3: I was friends with both of them, and she would say,
- 42:40Speaker 3: this is weird. But they would text and say are
- 42:42Speaker 3: you going to this party? They would text me, is
- 42:44Speaker 3: blah blah blah going, And then if they were, they
- 42:46Speaker 3: would just avoid it. Whoever, yes she's here or yes
- 42:49Speaker 3: she's coming, Okay, well I'm not going.
- 42:51Speaker 1: And it was just.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Until they felt cool. It was like a year and
- 42:54Speaker 3: a half and they could be around each other. But yeah,
- 42:57Speaker 3: it was just kind of like avoiding each other.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Sometimes. I think that's the healthier way to go. It's
- 43:03Speaker 1: all depends.
- 43:05Speaker 2: It's all relative. There's no healthier not healthier. There's just
- 43:09Speaker 2: your experience, you know, perspective, perspective, and you know what,
- 43:14Speaker 2: I think we should end this on a positive note.
- 43:17Speaker 1: La la tell me how to do that.
- 43:21Speaker 2: I want to know two things.
- 43:23Speaker 3: I want to know first, how you're currently feeling in
- 43:26Speaker 3: this moment, and second, what you're thankful for in this
- 43:31Speaker 3: very moment.
- 43:34Speaker 1: I'm like so happy right now, which is weird because
- 43:38Speaker 1: I've had the longest day ever. Yeah, but I'm like
- 43:43Speaker 1: very happy. Mostly probably, actually I know for sure is
- 43:47Speaker 1: because my little brother comes into town tonight. Want to
- 43:50Speaker 1: go swoop him from the airport. Gonna hit up an
- 43:52Speaker 1: AA meeting on zoom ya my most favorite meeting on
- 43:56Speaker 1: zoom because it's Thursday. Yeay, just today Wednesday, my most
- 44:02Speaker 1: favorite zoom meeting that I go to all week. And
- 44:06Speaker 1: then I'm just gonna like enjoy my kid. What I'm
- 44:09Speaker 1: thankful for. I am thankful for you, my mama, oh,
- 44:14Speaker 1: my family, my friend group. But I'm also very thankful
- 44:18Speaker 1: for my strength, my mind, all of that, because there
- 44:27Speaker 1: are moments that I wake up and I start questioning,
- 44:30Speaker 1: like how am I not drowning? Like you know, how
- 44:33Speaker 1: am I feeling like I'm not drowning? Like I feel
- 44:38Speaker 1: so great?
- 44:39Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 44:40Speaker 1: So I even though I question it, I have to
- 44:42Speaker 1: remind myself don't question this bat like just relish in
- 44:46Speaker 1: these moments because wherever the strength is coming from, and
- 44:49Speaker 1: I have to remember the strength is coming from within me,
- 44:52Speaker 1: Like why do I question that shit as if it's
- 44:54Speaker 1: coming from anywhere else. Yeah, strength is coming from me
- 44:58Speaker 1: and what I'm trying to do during my day, whether
- 45:01Speaker 1: I'm pulling from the universe, my higher power, my kid
- 45:05Speaker 1: right in front of me, like I'm good, dude, I'm healthy,
- 45:07Speaker 1: I'm happy, I'm strong, like I'm going to take on
- 45:10Speaker 1: the motherfucking world. You are and so are you guys.
- 45:15Speaker 2: There see that was the positive note.
- 45:17Speaker 1: We were lit, period, point blank. I love you guys
- 45:22Speaker 1: so freaking march like I do. This podcast is so fun.
