- 1:00Hey, y'all, welcome to today's show. Sorry, I have missed a
- 1:03couple of podcasts. I have been on the road, been traveling, and
- 1:08I only got about fortnight four hours sleep last night, and probably less than
- 1:12that the night before. So that maybe a little spacey for today's show,
- 1:17but I think I can pull it off. Let's get into our radio replies
- 1:23for the day and then we'll get on to the main topic. Remember this
- 1:26comes from the nineteen thirties book Radio Replies, where non Catholics and often Communists,
- 1:32would send in questions to two priests when Australia, when in America,
- 1:37challenging them about all aspects of the faith. And it's a really classic apologics
- 1:42book, basic apologics book, kind of question answer format, a little dated.
- 1:49You know, the church teaching unbaptized infants, for instance, has changed.
- 1:55You'll find that in any old book. It's been clarified. We now
- 1:59do believe that babies go to heaven, and basically believe that all along.
- 2:02But there was this question about limbo and all that. Don't worry about it.
- 2:07That's all been cleared up. The Blessed Virgin Mary takes care of every
- 2:14infant, whether in the womb or dies, you know, after birth,
- 2:22in their early days, she personally escorts them to heaven and make sure they're
- 2:28okay. And as as one has had well, I got a brother and
- 2:34a sister in heaven. So it's a it's a comforting teaching and it's always,
- 2:38I think important to to remember that. So, um, let's see
- 2:44what does the communist accost them with today? He asked, why does he
- 2:53that means God permit those who serve him to live in poverty while the godless
- 2:58have a smooth path through life? And they answer this is not always the
- 3:01case. However, when this does occur, it is not difficult to understand
- 3:06the godless did not deserve to be invited to share with Christ and the life
- 3:09of suffering. It's an interesting concept. Isn't invited to share a life of
- 3:15suffering with Christ? And that is it's what Jesus says. If you are
- 3:20a Christian, you will suffer, take up your cross and follow me.
- 3:23You will be rejected as I was rejected. You'll be abused as I was
- 3:29abused. There is nothing prosperity doctrine aside, which is an absolute heresy.
- 3:36There is nothing in God's promise that says the life on earth of a Christian
- 3:42is going to be easy, not a bit he actually promises suffering. Is
- 3:47it not amazing that, with all the religions and philosophies of the world,
- 3:53the one that has spread the most, the one that literally changed history,
- 4:00the one that one being. Of course, Christianity does not promise earthly happiness,
- 4:06but promises earthly suffering. It's not well, it's not the only religion
- 4:14so to do, but it doesn't promise an escape from earthly suffering. Whereas
- 4:18say, Buddhism, does you know, Buddhism says all life is suffering.
- 4:24Suffering is caused by attachment. Through detachment, we can not suffer. Christianity
- 4:30offers nothing like that. Christianity I actually offers actually, inherently, implicitly and
- 4:40explicitly says, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, your life is
- 4:45going to be hard. The easy road is wide, the path to heaven
- 4:50is near. A well, they go on. Also, all men do
- 4:56some good in life. Sometimes no one is entire higherly evil. That's true,
- 5:02even of it's unintentional. Not everyone everything they do is bad. I
- 5:09mean, I'm sure even Charles Manson the most evil person I can think of.
- 5:15I'm sure even Charles Manson was kind to somebody at some point in his
- 5:18life. As a sociopath, he was probably very kind to certain people.
- 5:24You know this will sociopaths, do you know? They use people That means
- 5:29they have to be nice to him sometimes. Anyway, God's justice rewards natural
- 5:34good, thereby therefore by natural prosperity, and that maybe God's justice rewards natural
- 5:44good therefore by natural prosperity, and that may be all that such men will
- 5:47receive. You have had the reward of such good as you did, may
- 5:51be said at their judgment, and now answer for the evil of your irreligious
- 5:56lives. On the other hand, those who love God are not been worthless
- 6:00and perishable rewards. But we will receive a full return of supernatural happiness,
- 6:04the only kind that really matters. If Christ promised us happiness in this world,
- 6:10then let us murmur when we see the infidel prosper But what did he
- 6:14promise? He promised what he himself received, suffering here and happiness hereafter.
- 6:19The disciple was not above his master. Very well said, and the final
- 6:27question from this communist, which tomorrow wee's star a new chapter. Isn't that
- 6:30fun? Actually, yes, it's a severe well written book, and sometimes
- 6:34the priests were quite witty and sometimes quite cutting in their responses as well.
- 6:40It's no wonder it was. The forward was written by the venerable Fulton Sheen.
- 6:46I'm sure he was a huge fan of this radio show. In all
- 6:49these replies to difficulties, you were postulating free will, the sinful state of
- 6:55man, redemption by Christ, grace, and eternal destiny of man. So,
- 7:00of course they say, yes, that is so. These things are
- 7:02facts, and no problem can be fully solved except in the light of all
- 7:05the facts. I am quite prepared to justify these facts. Meantime, without
- 7:11them, no reasonable solution to the problems of God's providence can be found at
- 7:15all, And with them, the solution, even though inadequate, is at
- 7:20least rational and intelligible. The world with its miseries may be a problem difficult
- 7:27to reconcile with the existence of God, but that same world without God is
- 7:31a far greater problem, leaving exactly the same miseries to be endured in hopeless
- 7:35despair. Christianity does not deny the existence of suffering, but it can give
- 7:42happiness in the midst of suffering, and this practical solution is the true solution
- 7:46God gives to men of goodwill. All right, let's get into the main
- 7:53topic. There is an excellent substack newsletter that I am going to recommend.
- 8:01It's called Pope Hit Yes, Pope Space h A D. I don't know
- 8:07why it's called that. It's an odd name. I was a little leery
- 8:13of it is to start, until I started reading it, and I started
- 8:18finding some of the most well reasoned, well researched Defense is a castle Catholic
- 8:26doctrine, and articles on other Catholic topics that well, frankly, they're a'm
- 8:33on the best I've ever come across. I cannot recommend this newsletter more strongly.
- 8:39I think it is absolutely fantastic. The article that popped up in my
- 8:48inbox, I guess yesterday, what's called in Defense of the Virgin the Queen
- 8:52of Heaven. I'm going I asked the author's permission. He said I could
- 8:56share this with you. I'm going to just run through some of the key
- 9:01points. It's a very long article. Well I wouldn't say very long,
- 9:05but it's going to take you, you know, ten fifteen minutes to read,
- 9:09far too long for me to read word for word on my show,
- 9:11and it's not my well, that's not my intent anyway. I'm not here
- 9:16to rip somebody off. I'm here to share something that I thought was really
- 9:22good. And I am absolutely recommending that you subscribe to the pope Head newsletter
- 9:30on substack, and you're not going to regret. I think this guy knows
- 9:37how to make very well reasoned, reasoned, cogent arguments. Whatever his name
- 9:43may be, do not know his name, even though we have communicated online,
- 9:48he says, he begins. I noticed there exists a malignant sentiment among
- 9:54both converts and quadile Catholics in regard to the Virgin Mary, due in part
- 9:58to human concute since and partly due to the germ of Protestantism that has infected
- 10:03the church in the last couple of decades. Modern Catholics seem to shudder at
- 10:07any perceived over emphasis on marry and devotion. I think, well, I
- 10:13think we can probably most of us agree on that. I know many Catholics
- 10:18who have a very strong devotion to the blessed Virgin Mary, but Protestants,
- 10:22of course do not, and get very angry about it for no apparent reason.
- 10:28They seem to think somehow, by insulting Jesus's mother and insulting people who
- 10:33have a fondness for his mother, they somehow glorified Jesus, which you know,
- 10:39get that. Try sometime go insult somebody's mother and see how they react.
- 10:43I don't really understand. I've never understood why, even when I was
- 10:48a Protestant, I did not understood stand why some people got so angry that
- 10:54Catholics have a respect for the Mother of God. Yea, many really do.
- 11:03And he says, anxiety over committing any accidental idolatry by venerating the Mother
- 11:07of God seems to be common. In fact, I admittedly struggled with this
- 11:11when I first began the Return of the faith. And he talks about that
- 11:15a little bit. He says, the Catholic emphasis on Mariology terrified Protestants and
- 11:20even elicits protests, protests from our Eastern Orthodox cousins who recoil at what they
- 11:26call Roman Marian excess. So he starts to get into this, they say,
- 11:35as he says, he says, the other day I was extolling the
- 11:39virtues and spiritual benefits of a daily Rosary recitation, and an individual innocently asked,
- 11:45but why are there so many Hail Mary's in it? Isn't the focus
- 11:48supposed to be on Christ. Such a question would have been alien to most
- 11:52Catholics of the last two millennia. Another stumbling block seems to be the Marian
- 11:58apparitions that are ubiquity in Catholicism. And of course many most Protestants accuse Catholics
- 12:05of worshiping Mary and being a pagan cult, which is of course idiotic.
- 12:13But you know, many of them truly do believe that. He says the
- 12:18reason why the Virgin has venerated a unique way, why marrying devotion has precedence
- 12:22in both the Old Testament and justification for marrying prophecy I will only be just
- 12:26barely scratching the surface. Well, he does a pretty good job of just
- 12:31barely scratching the surface. He says, in the Catholic tradition, the Virgin
- 12:37Mary is above all the saints, but infinitely below God. She is the
- 12:39greatest fully human being ever to live. This is the most important point in
- 12:45understanding why marrying devotion is not idolatry. Many Catholics, he caught up in
- 12:50her occasional title co redempt trics with her son, wrongly assuming this implies some
- 12:56form of equality with God. But redemptrics is a ministerial function. That a
- 13:01very important point. It is a task, not a state of being.
- 13:07Think about it this way, all right, I'm just summed this up.
- 13:11Jesus decided to come into the world being born a baby with a human mother.
- 13:18Without marries, yes her assent, without her agreeing to be the mother
- 13:24of God, Jesus could not have come in the world the way he did.
- 13:30Therefore, there's no Jesus without Mary, and there's no well, obviously
- 13:33there's no Mary without Jesus. She is and in fact the coredemp tricks because
- 13:39of her role as facilitating the redeeming of man through Jesus. Without her,
- 13:48there's no Jesus, not in human form. The Word of God would have
- 13:52been, you know, intangible. We know Jesus as a human being born
- 13:58of a human mother. Saint Louis de Montfort tells us, we must take
- 14:03great pains not to conceive this dependence as any abasement or imperfection in Jesus Christ.
- 14:09For Mary is infinitely below her son, who is God, and therefore
- 14:13she does not command him, as a mother here below would command her child
- 14:16who is below her. Mary, being altogether transformed into God's grace and by
- 14:22the glory which transforms all the saints into him, asks nothing wishes, nothing,
- 14:26does nothing contrary to the eternal and immutable will of God. So he
- 14:33asks, what about Mary so special? Well, like I said, her
- 14:39guess made it all happen. She said, behold the ham and of the
- 14:43Lord. Be it done to me according to thy word. It was through
- 14:46the humble flesh of a virgin that God became man, so that man could
- 14:50become like God. That's saint. I have trouble with this name? Is
- 14:56it Athanasius? Sorry, I've never been able to pronounce Salon. She's the
- 15:03vessel that God used to perform to transform the human race. For it was
- 15:09through her womb and her flesh that God conjoined his own. In the words
- 15:13of Pope Benedict sixteenth, the moment when the Angel of the Lord came to
- 15:18Mary with a great announcement of the incarnation, she gave a reply. Then
- 15:22transpired the greatest event in history, the incarnation. The word became flesh She's
- 15:26placed her entire being at the disposal of God's will. The will of Mary
- 15:31coincides with the will of the Sun, and the follows unique project of love,
- 15:35and in her Heaven and Earth united. God the Creator is united to
- 15:39his creature. John the twenty third issued an invitation to contemplate this mystery,
- 15:46to reflect on the union of heaven and Earth, which is the purpose of
- 15:50the incarnation and redemption. The union. As he says in this article,
- 15:56he's a nice sentence. The union of heaven and Earth begins with one unhumble
- 16:00woman's consent. It's really, yeah, pretty amazing. And he he goes
- 16:12on to say, not in a vague spiritual way, but to have his
- 16:15flesh and bones grow within her. How can such a being not have power
- 16:21and precedence over every creature? For nine months, she and God were physically
- 16:26joined, he says. Every mother knows the intimate connection between themselves and a
- 16:30child growing within them. Imagine feeling the heartbeat of God within you. The
- 16:34mere thought transcends language, and it's for this reason that marrying paintings and drawings
- 16:44are the blessed virgin of marrying iconography. There we go to always depict her
- 16:52either pregnant or holding the Christ Child, usually seated on a throne, or
- 16:55see it next to him in heaven. Her greatest glorious in union with with
- 17:00Christ. And there's certainly no deification for her a lunch. She's the mother
- 17:04of God, She's not God. And then he, you know, he
- 17:11makes a very another very obvious point. She raised God as a son and
- 17:17accompanied him throughout his life, and then watched him torture and killed on a
- 17:21cross without complaint. She never looked away, she never abandoned him. I
- 17:26mean, that's perfect. She was perfectly in accordance with God's will, perfect
- 17:32humility, perfect submission to God. He then quotes Saint Maximus, and many
- 17:40many Catholic writers have said this. Her guests Undid, Adam and Eves no,
- 17:47you know, they said, no, we want to by God.
- 17:48She said yes, I will. And that is how she's the co redemptrics
- 17:52because through her yes, and only through her yes, do we receive eternal
- 17:59life through her son Jesus Christ, our Lord. She had free will.
- 18:04God does not violate anyone's free will. She could have said no. Imagine
- 18:10if if if the Mother of God has said no, I mean that is
- 18:15literally the hinge on which the entire fate of humanity throughout all history into all
- 18:22future is pinned right there her. Yes, and then he explains that,
- 18:30you know, the Rosary is very biblical. I've discussed this before. We
- 18:34don't need to get into it a whole lot. I mean, the Hail
- 18:37Mary is the angel's greeting, Hail Mary, full of grace. Right,
- 18:44the Lord is with thee comes from Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist.
- 18:49Blessed aren't down among women, and blessed us the fruit of thy womb,
- 18:52you know. And the final lines, the Holy Mary, Mother of
- 18:57God, pray for us centers now of our death. Is doing nothing but
- 19:02asking the Mother of God to pray for our own souls now at the moment
- 19:06of our exit from this world. And so this prayer, far from displace
- 19:10in Christ and exalting Mary above him, is in fact radically focused on Christ.
- 19:15And not only that. Another good point he makes, you know,
- 19:18obviously, as we're saying these prayers were meditating upon events in the life,
- 19:25the earthly life of Jesus, but we're praying with Mary through the eyes of
- 19:32the human who knew him best. It's he said, you were having his
- 19:37mother to guide you. This is Mary's role, just as is the role
- 19:41of the saints of Heaven. Mary was there throughout his life, throughout his
- 19:44trials. So what better person to accompany you in this meditation of Christ's life
- 19:48than her? And he quotes see Saint o faunsis, a single act of
- 19:56humanformity with the divine wheel suffices to make a saint, etcetera, etcetera.
- 20:02Mary is the most perfect of all his saints because she most perfectly embraced the
- 20:06divine will. Then he gets into a really interesting topic. Scott Han wrote
- 20:15a whole book on this, The Queenship of Mary. He says, let's
- 20:21look at the title Queen of Heaven. Evangelicals will shriek and shout over the
- 20:26idolatry occurring in this term. But and they say that that title isn't in
- 20:33the Bible. They claim all kinds of stuff, This is paganism, this
- 20:37is you know, all kinds of crazy Catholic stuff. But Christ is indeed
- 20:44a king, the new David. The Gospel of Matthew opens with a genealogical
- 20:48descent lining Christ to King David. This is a fulfillment of prophecy, etc.
- 20:55Let's see, Oh, he quotes a lot from a book Jesus and
- 21:00the Jewish Roots of Mary. I have not read it, but it looks
- 21:03like one I need to read. And it says taken as a whole,
- 21:07the New Testament clearly depicts Jesus is the long away that Davidic king also knows
- 21:11the Messiah or in Greek Christos. Jesus isn't just a new Adam or a
- 21:18new Moses. He is a new David. The reason he's also a new
- 21:22David, I should say, the reason all this matters for us can be
- 21:25expression a single question. If Jesus is the new Davidic king, who is
- 21:30the new queen? Although modern day readers may think of a queen would be
- 21:33the wife of the king, actually, in the Hebrew tradition it was the
- 21:38king's mother, he says, unlike modern day kingdoms, however, the Queen
- 21:41of Israel was not the king's wife, but his mother. She was known
- 21:45as the Queen Mother. Her royal title queen mother is the feminine form of
- 21:52the word master, can also be translates great lady. We don't need to
- 21:56get into all that, but the queen mother in the Hebrew tradition of loyalty
- 22:03had great influence. She was an advocate. People could ask her to do
- 22:07things like when Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak with her on behalf of
- 22:14Adanaya Ada Nijah, the king rose to meet her and bowed down to her.
- 22:18And then she said, on his throne and the throne, and had
- 22:22a throne brought for the king's mother, and she sat on his right You
- 22:25know, sitting on the right hand of the king is a major symbol of
- 22:29influence that comes from first kings. By the way, the queen mother also
- 22:34had an official position in the kingdom, ranked second only to the king himself.
- 22:41In Psalms Psalms forty five six through nine, your throne of God indoors
- 22:45forever, your royal scepter or a scepter of equity, your love and righteousness.
- 22:51You love righteousness and hate wickedness. Therefore, God, your God,
- 22:55has annoyed you with the oil gladness above your fellows. Your robes are all
- 22:57fragrant with mur and aloes and cassia from Ivory Palace's string of instruments. Make
- 23:03you glad. Daughters of kings are among your ladies of honor. At your
- 23:07right hand stands the Queen in gold of uphur. The fact that she stands
- 23:12at the King's right hand that she has a share in his authority, just
- 23:17as the King sits at the right hand of God, shares in God's authority.
- 23:19In the words of one Old Testament expert, after the monarch himself,
- 23:25the Queen Mother has the place of highest honor, so he says. To
- 23:30those of you reading this who have never heard any of this before, you
- 23:33must be in a state of shock. Catholics who are devoted to the Virgin
- 23:37yet struggle with the constant insults of our ladies Majesty by prickly Protestants insisting that
- 23:42the Queen of Heaven is mere Popish paganism, you must be feeling overjoyed,
- 23:47as was I when I first learned this. Why didn't we learn this in
- 23:49Catechism? Well, as a convert, I never had Catechism. I did
- 23:53have that wonderful Scott Han book, which I absolutely recommend. Title of it
- 23:57does not come to me. I think it's mere Queen of Heaven if I
- 24:00remember correctly. But he gets into a lot of this history of royalty.
- 24:07Essentially, if Jesus is our king. Then Mary is the mother of Jesus.
- 24:14Not only is Mary the mother of God, Mary is the queen of
- 24:17Heaven, the absolutely most influential saint. And as the Bible says, God
- 24:25is the God of the living, not the dead. You know, Saint
- 24:27John said, are you not aware? We were surrounded by so great a
- 24:30cloud of witnesses? And he gets into this as well, the role of
- 24:33the saints very well done. The saints are there to pray for us and
- 24:38advocate for us, and our best advocate is the Mother of God. Because
- 24:45Jesus said to Saint John in some of his final words, man behold your
- 24:51mother, Mother, behold your son. He made Jesus our brother. First
- 24:56of all, we're adopted into God through to the people of God through Jesus.
- 25:02We have Jesus's Lord, God, brother King. If Jesus is our
- 25:07brother and we're brothers and sisters in Christ, his mother is by definition our
- 25:12mother. But he also made very clear he didn't say, John, take
- 25:17care of my mother, Mary, Mary go with John. He said,
- 25:22man, behold your mother, woman, behold your son. I mean he
- 25:26used those terms which are actually formal titles, but very clearly relate to the
- 25:36whole the entirety of mankind. I mean, if we are the family of
- 25:40God and Mary is the mother of God, then she is also our mother
- 25:45and more alive in heaven than we are here on earth. So praying to
- 25:51her and asking her to ask her son a favor, just as she did
- 25:56at the wedding piece of Cana. And that's an point he makes somewhere in
- 26:00this article. I may have actually missed it, but he did a very
- 26:02good job with it. She didn't say, you know, Jesus, could
- 26:07you do this? She didn't even ask. She just said, they have
- 26:10no wine. She knew he'd take care of it. Jesus will never refuse
- 26:15a request from his mother. And she wasn't saying on behalf of herself.
- 26:18She was saying it on behalf of the people. And he's even though he
- 26:22said I'm not ready to start my public ministry, he did it anyway.
- 26:26My time is yet night come. He just did it, and she turned
- 26:29she knew he was going to do it. There was no conversation. She
- 26:32said, they have no wine, and then she turns around and says,
- 26:34do whatever he tells you. Do. You know that is that is her
- 26:41role. You ask you present her need. She will then say to her
- 26:45divine Son, this person needs something. Your brother is in need. And
- 26:53if you know, the Bible says that God hears the prayer of the righteous.
- 26:57We are not always righteous enough to get our prayers answered. I mean,
- 27:03that's that's a hard truth of Christianity. The Bible says God hears the
- 27:07prayers of the righteous. Man a lot of pride as to say, just
- 27:11pray directly, as Jesus, you should pray directly. Well, okay,
- 27:14but what if I'm not good enough? Yeah, what if I'm not righteous
- 27:18enough? Well, I know who is righteous, And those are the saints
- 27:22that are with God in heaven. And are you not aware we're surrounded by
- 27:27so great a cloud of witnesses, as Saint Paul said, And you look
- 27:30in the Book of Revelations, and you see the role of the martyrs and
- 27:34the saints in advocating and judging even the people on earth. You say,
- 27:44Saint so and so, please pray for me. Well, the greatest of
- 27:47all the saints is of us, Virgin Mary, and Jesus will never refuse
- 27:49her. I may not be good enough, she is. He goes on.
- 27:56According to the old Testament, the queen mother was a powerful intercessor with
- 28:00her son. This makes sense if you want to obtain a request from the
- 28:03king, having his mother as your advocate is a very good idea. Consider
- 28:07the story of Adonia show that if you want to look that up. That's
- 28:11um. You know. First King's two thirteen through fourteen, seventeen eighteen,
- 28:15the miracle wedding feast of Cana, Today's Thursday. By the way we pray,
- 28:22we pray the luminous mysteries when we do the Rosary, and you know
- 28:25that's the second one all and what is the fruit of that mystery to Jesus
- 28:30through Mary? I know, Protestants, we'll get all upset about that,
- 28:33but you cannot get to Jesus without Mary, because without her, her guests,
- 28:42without her giving birth to Christ, the person of Jesus, Christ would
- 28:48never have entered this world. Well, you could say, well, he
- 28:51could have gone to someone else, Okay, he could have been born to
- 28:55another mother if that was God's will, But he wasn't. Not only wasn't
- 29:00he before she was even presented with the question of will you give birth to
- 29:04God? Which I mean, I'm glad nobody ever asked me a question on
- 29:10those that much gravity, I'd be like, God wants me to do what
- 29:15now? Okay, but you know what I'm saying, gender aside, he
- 29:22preserved her from all sins. She's the only two people, two human beings
- 29:27have been born in this world without original sin, the Blessed Virgin Mary because
- 29:34God prevented her from all stain of sin, because he could not be born
- 29:40to an impure mother. You know, it's like the Ark of the Covenant
- 29:48and the other shot in the Baptist because he was baptized in the womb when
- 29:52he the baby leapt. When you know, the pregnant Blessed Virgin Mary encountered
- 29:56the her pregnant aunt who had Saint John the Baptist. Other than that,
- 30:02everybody's come into the world since Adam and Eve with the original sin. So
- 30:08where as you could say, well, Jesus could have been born to any
- 30:11woman, what was so special about her? She was literally chosen and picked
- 30:15out from before she was ever born. This is all part of God's plan,
- 30:21and his plan doesn't work without her. He didn't have like, Okay,
- 30:26let's pick ten women and we'll preserve them all from the saying of original
- 30:32sin. Nope, nope, only one, only one who was assumed into
- 30:36heaven at her death because she did not have the stain of original sin.
- 30:41She was not subject to it was a word for it, decay, essentially
- 30:48corruption, that sword which we all are because the wages of sin are death
- 30:55and disease and sickness and degeneration. She was preserved from all that. And
- 31:00you know, she lived to be fairly old. They are actually letters back
- 31:04and forth between her and we think was it Saint polycarp I believe that's right.
- 31:15And apparently she never really aged over the age of forty, because again
- 31:19she was preserved from all corruption. Protestants are gonna scream your hands off over
- 31:23this, but hey, look, go to Europe, go to some of
- 31:26the cathedrals. See some of the saints that are actually have been exhumed and
- 31:32their bodies have been prevented from all corruption. They may have been dead for
- 31:36a couple hundred years. They looked like they're asleep. And it's not chemicals.
- 31:38They're not embalmed. They actually smell of roses. If God can do
- 31:42that for his saints, how much more well you do for his mother?
- 31:49Well he did. He assumed her body and soul into heaven. She never
- 31:56suffered the effects of original sin. You may not believe that because you say
- 32:01that's not in the Bible. Well, you know what, all the first
- 32:06Christians knew about it, and they were around her, and they saw all
- 32:09with their own eyes, and they wrote about it. So what are you
- 32:13going to do? I mean, you can choose to believe what's only only
- 32:16what's in the Bible. But hey, the Bible is not a history book
- 32:21and it's not a newspaper. It doesn't give you all the information. That's
- 32:25where sacred tradition comes in. That's what the apostles told to their their immediate
- 32:32successors, and they told their immedic successors. And you know, it's as
- 32:38reliable and actually probably more reliable than the Bible, because not all Bibles are
- 32:45accurate translations. If you're relying on, say the King James version is your
- 32:51Bible, you don't have a good Bible. You don't have a good translation,
- 32:53you don't have a complete Bible. At least switched to the Dewey Rheims
- 33:00English Bibles written about the same time, same kind of language. The Dewey
- 33:04Hims is actually complete and accurate. Yeah, anyway, and then he gets
- 33:08into Mary and apparitions the messages like at Fatima and Magic Gorgy, etc.
- 33:15Where Mary appears to people and give messages from God, and of course Protestants
- 33:22and Russian Orthodox, etc. Don't believe them. And it's a shame because
- 33:27the saints in heaven, Mary being the greatest saint of them all. Just
- 33:34as you know in the story of Lazarus and the rich Man, that rich
- 33:38man who's in purgatory while Lazarus is in the Bosom of Abraham, is calling
- 33:44out Abraham and he says, let me go back and talk to my brothers
- 33:50and tell them the ear of their way so they can go to heaven or
- 33:52to the Bosom of Abraham at that point, because Jesus not opened the gates
- 33:55of heaven, and that shows that the dead are intensely concerned with the well
- 34:04being of the living. The saints being in heaven, not confined to purgatory
- 34:09or certainly not Hell, they are even more intuned to us. They're that
- 34:17great cloud of witnesses. They're praying for us, they care about us,
- 34:22and many times they are messengers of God to speak to us. Yeah.
- 34:29Yes, actually, the Blessed Virgin Mary has appeared many times throughout the past
- 34:32two thousand years, usually with warnings, especially four World Wars, about communism,
- 34:44trying to warn and protect her family, her children here on earth.
- 34:51As I said, if Jesus is our brother, and we are brothers and
- 34:53sisters in Christ, we are all Mary's children. We really ought to heed
- 35:01her warnings. And had we, and if we do, there'll be a
- 35:07lot well, there would have been a lot fewer wars, and several million
- 35:12people not killed by communism, hundreds of million people not killed by communism,
- 35:17you know, just as a very good point that he makes, Just as
- 35:22the Bible says that nations have guardian angels, just as there's an angel signed
- 35:30to each church, you know, in the Book of Revelations. Those angels
- 35:36are advocates, their messengers. So are the saints. And again, who's
- 35:43the greatest of all saints. It's the Queen of Heaven. And generally speaking,
- 35:49well I even generally speaking, I mean say, specifically speaking, she
- 35:52is the one that communicates the the most profound prophecies our area in our era.
- 36:01Look up Fatima, look up Magic Gorgy. And in summary, he
- 36:07says it must be reiterated that God does not need Mary, no more than
- 36:10he needs his angels and saints. God freely chooses to share the amounts of
- 36:15his power with his celestial celestial administrators to advance his own glory. God the
- 36:22Son has communicated to his mother all that he is acquired by his life and
- 36:27death, his infinite merits, and his admirable virtues. And he has made
- 36:30her the treasurer of all that his father gave him for his inheritance. It
- 36:36is by her that he applies his merits to his members, and he communicates
- 36:40his virtues and distributes his graces. She is his mysterious canal. She is
- 36:45his aqueduct through which he makes his mercies flow gently and abundantly. So once
- 36:53again, that is a newsletter called pope Head. You will find it on
- 37:00substack. I think it is fantastic. This is only one of many great
- 37:05articles I've been reading by this anonymous writer. Do check him out and definitely
- 37:15subscribe to his newsletter. Very worthwhile. Now let's do Hell Mary, Hell
- 37:22Mary, full of grace, Lords with the blessed right now among women and
- 37:25blesses the fruit of Iwem Jesus, Holy Marry Mother of God. Pray for
- 37:30us centers now and at the hour of our death. Amen. All right,
- 37:32y'all. As always, I'm going to close with the words of Saint
- 37:36Padre Pio. Pray, hope and don't worry. And actually, if you
- 37:40read the prophecies at Fatima and such Medicagorgi as well, you can get a
- 37:49lot of hope. Things are going to get really bad between now and the
- 37:52end of the world. We all know that, we know how the story
- 37:57ends, as I always say. And you can get a lot of up
- 38:00comfort and hope from reading the words of the Mother of God. And you
- 38:07can get a whole lot more hope and comfort than even that just by talking
- 38:12with her a lot throughout the day. Pray your Rosary every day I do.
- 38:16It's changed my life. I cannot let a day go by without praying
- 38:23the Rosary now, been that way for several years and it's totally transformed me
- 38:28and it will you. And she promises to save the world through the Rosary.
- 38:35Anyway, y'all have a great one and I will talk to you tomorrow.
