- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:15Speaker 1: Hawgrel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the howcrel energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Happy Thursday, Welcome back to another episode. I am definitely
- 0:34Speaker 1: feeling overwhelmed. I'm sure everybody's feeling the exact same way.
- 0:41Speaker 1: This is literally the last week before Christmas, and I
- 0:43Speaker 1: think everyone's probably just trying to hammer out as much
- 0:45Speaker 1: as they can of work or school or literally whatever
- 0:49Speaker 1: the case may be. Christmas is literally in what like
- 0:54Speaker 1: six days. Seven days. I literally just did Christmas shopping.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Like I decided to take the day today and focus
- 1:01Speaker 1: on just catching up on getting gifts for people because
- 1:04Speaker 1: blogmiss obviously took a bunch of my time, and then
- 1:07Speaker 1: obviously doing stuff for work like filming ads and such.
- 1:10Speaker 1: So I had to make the decision of either recording
- 1:13Speaker 1: the podcast or going Christmas shopping. And I'm sorry I
- 1:16Speaker 1: did have to pick Christmas shopping just because I knew
- 1:19Speaker 1: I wasn't going to have enough time these next few
- 1:22Speaker 1: days to get it done. But here we are now
- 1:24Speaker 1: making this episode a priority because this is probably going
- 1:27Speaker 1: to be the last episode I record and upload before
- 1:32Speaker 1: New Year's which is so crazy. The next time you're
- 1:34Speaker 1: going to hear an episode will be in January of
- 1:38Speaker 1: twenty twenty six. So I really wanted to get one
- 1:40Speaker 1: more episode up for you guys. That way you had
- 1:42Speaker 1: something to listen to these next two weeks to kind
- 1:45Speaker 1: of get yourself ready and prepared going into a new year.
- 1:50Speaker 1: This episode I really wanted to make about vision boards,
- 1:53Speaker 1: but I also kind of wanted to talk about being
- 1:56Speaker 1: your own motivator. And I think being your own motivator
- 1:59Speaker 1: is what's going to drive your success. It's what's going
- 2:04Speaker 1: to drive you to achieve the goals for yourself. So
- 2:07Speaker 1: I'm not going to really chat about making a vision
- 2:09Speaker 1: board because I think I've done a lot of episodes
- 2:11Speaker 1: like that in the past, and I think there's a
- 2:13Speaker 1: lot of you guys that probably already know how to
- 2:16Speaker 1: make a vision board. So you know, I'll touch on
- 2:18Speaker 1: it a little bit throughout this episode of like how
- 2:20Speaker 1: we can reflect on a vision board for you know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: using it as a way to manifest things for ourself
- 2:27Speaker 1: or you know, create goals for ourselves, whatever the case
- 2:29Speaker 1: may be. But I really want to talk about just
- 2:32Speaker 1: the truth about motivation, the truth behind how we can
- 2:35Speaker 1: motivate ourselves to become this version of ourself that we
- 2:38Speaker 1: want to become for twenty twenty six all that. So
- 2:41Speaker 1: I really just want to chat about things that are
- 2:43Speaker 1: going to drive you to become successful and what's going
- 2:45Speaker 1: to drive you to actually achieve those goals that you've
- 2:48Speaker 1: been wanting to achieve for twenty twenty six. So really
- 2:50Speaker 1: just talk about tips on how we're going to get
- 2:52Speaker 1: you to that point. But before we talk about motivation
- 2:55Speaker 1: and just tips to obviously achieve those things for ourself,
- 2:59Speaker 1: I just wanted to give a very real and relatable
- 3:02Speaker 1: time right now. As I said, I am feeling really
- 3:04Speaker 1: burnt out and overwhelmed, and I literally promised myself that
- 3:07Speaker 1: I would not do that to myself. But I just
- 3:10Speaker 1: wanted to be real and honest with everybody that I
- 3:12Speaker 1: think everybody's feeling overtired and burnt out right now. I
- 3:15Speaker 1: know I'm not the only one, and I just want
- 3:17Speaker 1: to let you know that we're in this together and
- 3:19Speaker 1: that we are so close to the finish line. Literally
- 3:22Speaker 1: I'm starting next Tuesday, the twenty third, as my official
- 3:26Speaker 1: first day off of just enjoying some time with my husband,
- 3:30Speaker 1: some family time. Obviously, Christmas Eve is on the Wednesday,
- 3:33Speaker 1: Christmas Day is on the Thursday, and then really just
- 3:37Speaker 1: you know, tidying up the house, starting to kind of
- 3:39Speaker 1: prep for move even though obviously we're not moving until
- 3:42Speaker 1: in the summer, but just kind of like going through everything,
- 3:45Speaker 1: doing my end of the year purge. As I talked
- 3:47Speaker 1: about in the last episode. If you haven't listened to
- 3:49Speaker 1: that episode, I highly recommend listening to it. It's like
- 3:52Speaker 1: the perfect episode to listen to if you're trying to
- 3:55Speaker 1: figure out how to end your year off with a
- 3:57Speaker 1: bit of a cleanup checklist that kind of so make
- 4:00Speaker 1: sure to listen to that episode if you haven't done
- 4:02Speaker 1: so already. But I'm really just going to focus on
- 4:05Speaker 1: those two weeks of just kind of getting the house
- 4:07Speaker 1: all organized, myself all organized going into a new year.
- 4:10Speaker 1: But the point I wanted to make is that I
- 4:12Speaker 1: felt so burnt out and overtired this week that I
- 4:15Speaker 1: literally canceled my plans with my girlfriends to go see
- 4:19Speaker 1: the Jonas brothers, and I wanted to go see the
- 4:21Speaker 1: Jonas Brothers so badly. I was like, oh my god,
- 4:23Speaker 1: this is such a fun night idea like going to
- 4:25Speaker 1: a concert with the girls, like totally like so down
- 4:29Speaker 1: for the vibes, right, Like I knew it was going
- 4:30Speaker 1: to be such a fun time, But I knew I
- 4:33Speaker 1: just overdid it. Like the past few days, I've just
- 4:35Speaker 1: been really starting to feel tired and a little bit overdone, right,
- 4:39Speaker 1: And so I had this four hour house meeting that
- 4:42Speaker 1: I had to do. Obviously that's also been really time
- 4:44Speaker 1: consuming with work, and after that house meeting, I just
- 4:48Speaker 1: hit a complete wall. Like I had no makeup on
- 4:51Speaker 1: my face because I literally didn't have the time to
- 4:53Speaker 1: even put makeup on before going to this meeting, and
- 4:56Speaker 1: so I knew I had to still do my makeup
- 4:58Speaker 1: and then put an outfit on and then oh, meet
- 4:59Speaker 1: up with the girls beforehand and go to the concert,
- 5:02Speaker 1: like I literally had no energy to even do that.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So I don't regret my decision at all. I'm really
- 5:08Speaker 1: happy that I decided to stay home and choose myself
- 5:10Speaker 1: and not force myself to go to the concert, because
- 5:13Speaker 1: not only was I feeling burnt out, but I was
- 5:16Speaker 1: starting to feel like I was getting sick, like my
- 5:19Speaker 1: throat was hurting, my energy levels were just low, and
- 5:22Speaker 1: I'm like, I know, if I force myself out of
- 5:23Speaker 1: the house and I go to this concert and I
- 5:26Speaker 1: stay up late, have a few drinks, wake up the
- 5:29Speaker 1: next morning, I just knew I was going to feel
- 5:32Speaker 1: ten times worse. So I'm like, you know what, I
- 5:33Speaker 1: made the right adult decision to stay back. And of
- 5:36Speaker 1: course it was very difficult to not go, but I
- 5:40Speaker 1: just know that my body thanked me, and I chose
- 5:42Speaker 1: my health first. And I just wanted to talk about
- 5:45Speaker 1: how it's okay to say no to plans and that
- 5:47Speaker 1: sometimes you have to choose yourself over you know, fun
- 5:50Speaker 1: plans with the girls, and that it's okay and that yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I just kind of have to really make yourself a
- 5:57Speaker 1: priority over fun things sometimes. But anyways, that's my little
- 6:01Speaker 1: weekly catch up of this week. Just feeling a little
- 6:04Speaker 1: out of it. But as I said, I'm sure we're
- 6:06Speaker 1: all feeling this way of just trying to get through
- 6:08Speaker 1: the next few days before next week, since the holidays
- 6:12Speaker 1: literally start next week, which is so wild. But anyways,
- 6:15Speaker 1: let's get into today's episode. We're going to be talking
- 6:17Speaker 1: all about motivation, tips on how to become our own motivator,
- 6:22Speaker 1: and ways for ourself to achieve these goals that we
- 6:25Speaker 1: want to achieve for ourselves. For twenty twenty six, I
- 6:28Speaker 1: really want to see this year as the year where
- 6:30Speaker 1: we just really want to focus on ourself and really
- 6:34Speaker 1: make sure that the things that we want to do
- 6:36Speaker 1: for this coming year we actually may happen. And it
- 6:39Speaker 1: could be the smallest things, it could be the biggest things.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I want to talk about real life situations that I
- 6:44Speaker 1: put myself through that has gotten me to a point
- 6:47Speaker 1: that I never thought I would get to, and talk
- 6:49Speaker 1: about how it's all about motivation. It's all about hard work,
- 6:54Speaker 1: and it's all about actually holding yourself accountable for doing
- 6:58Speaker 1: these little things to bring that big goal into play
- 7:02Speaker 1: where you're actually gonna be able to achieve it and
- 7:04Speaker 1: be so proud of yourself that you ended up doing
- 7:06Speaker 1: those little things to get to that main point. So
- 7:09Speaker 1: one thing I want to talk about motivation is that
- 7:12Speaker 1: motivation will always be inconsistent. It's just the reality. There's
- 7:15Speaker 1: gonna be times where you feel unstoppable, you feel like
- 7:19Speaker 1: you could get through anything, and then there's gonna be
- 7:21Speaker 1: days where for example, this week is a prime example
- 7:25Speaker 1: for me. I am not feeling motivated whatsoever. I feel down,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I feel tired. I feel like I've kind of distanced
- 7:32Speaker 1: myself from you know, just kind of going on my
- 7:34Speaker 1: phone scrolling. Then I'm like, oh wait, I actually need
- 7:36Speaker 1: to get all this work done, Like I kind of
- 7:38Speaker 1: just haven't been dialed in. And I think it's just
- 7:41Speaker 1: because I'm feeling over exhausted and I'm having a hard
- 7:44Speaker 1: time like wanting to just like push through things when
- 7:47Speaker 1: I'm literally just wanting to like set on my couch
- 7:49Speaker 1: and do nothing. But there's something that needs to be said.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And what I want to say here is that the
- 7:54Speaker 1: truth that nobody tells you is that the girls who
- 7:57Speaker 1: win aren't more motivated, they're more disciplined. This I love,
- 8:02Speaker 1: I freaking love this because I think it just goes
- 8:05Speaker 1: to show that being your own motivator doesn't mean that
- 8:09Speaker 1: you need to wait for a sign, or that you
- 8:12Speaker 1: need to wait for yourself to become more confident, or
- 8:15Speaker 1: if you want to wait till it makes you feel
- 8:17Speaker 1: like it's an easy time to do it. Like at
- 8:19Speaker 1: the end of the day, you make your own decisions
- 8:22Speaker 1: and you're the one that gets to decide how your
- 8:24Speaker 1: life is going to be. And sometimes it takes a
- 8:28Speaker 1: long time to get to that point. But as long
- 8:30Speaker 1: as you're at that motivation point in your life where
- 8:33Speaker 1: you're like, oh, no, I want to do this for myself,
- 8:36Speaker 1: and your drive and your hard work is what's actually
- 8:40Speaker 1: going to lead you to that end point. And so
- 8:43Speaker 1: you're making that decision for yourself to do that. And
- 8:46Speaker 1: so this is why we talk about vision boards so much,
- 8:49Speaker 1: because I feel like my vision board is how I
- 8:52Speaker 1: visualize and how I see my future self. Like I
- 8:55Speaker 1: really take images from Pinterest and I create this whole
- 8:58Speaker 1: vision board for myself, and I really try and make
- 9:02Speaker 1: it about how I see myself for twenty twenty six,
- 9:06Speaker 1: Like what do I envision? Do I envision myself being
- 9:08Speaker 1: more confident? Do I envision myself being more consistent when
- 9:12Speaker 1: it comes to work or my health goals? Is it
- 9:15Speaker 1: a vision where I see myself being more successful, more secure,
- 9:19Speaker 1: more aligned? Like there's so much that you can really
- 9:23Speaker 1: visualize for yourself for the new year ahead. But what
- 9:26Speaker 1: people need to understand is that it doesn't just magically
- 9:29Speaker 1: happen the first day of January, Like you have to
- 9:31Speaker 1: put the hard work to get to the end goal
- 9:34Speaker 1: and to get to the end point of your vision board.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And I think that's why it's so incredible to make
- 9:40Speaker 1: these vision boards and then reflect on it at the
- 9:42Speaker 1: end of the year, because I find ever since I
- 9:45Speaker 1: started making vision boards, it's so rewarding to see how
- 9:50Speaker 1: all those goals that you wanted for yourself actually happen.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I think my favorite thing that I've started to notice
- 9:55Speaker 1: on social media too, is how much more people are
- 9:58Speaker 1: talking about how these vision boards actually work. And I
- 10:01Speaker 1: feel like maybe it's my generation, but like a lot
- 10:05Speaker 1: of my girlfriends actually don't do vision boards, and I
- 10:07Speaker 1: brought it up at our Christmas party, and I think
- 10:09Speaker 1: I mentioned it in the last episode, but I'm like,
- 10:11Speaker 1: you guys need to try it and then you can
- 10:13Speaker 1: thank me later. Like it truly is something that works,
- 10:17Speaker 1: and I feel like if you're constantly looking at it,
- 10:19Speaker 1: it constantly reminds you of things that you want to
- 10:22Speaker 1: do for yourself. I feel like if you don't have
- 10:23Speaker 1: anything that you're going off of and you're not really
- 10:26Speaker 1: thinking about those goals that you want to achieve for yourself,
- 10:29Speaker 1: they're not going to happen because you don't see it,
- 10:31Speaker 1: you don't think about it. You're too busy focusing of
- 10:33Speaker 1: what's happening in the moment, not like what the end
- 10:36Speaker 1: goal is. Right, So vision boards do truly help a
- 10:39Speaker 1: lot and really help you visualize your future self. So
- 10:42Speaker 1: if you have habits that you want to take into
- 10:44Speaker 1: the new year, maybe it's you know, going to the
- 10:46Speaker 1: gym more, maybe it's walking more like spine images on
- 10:49Speaker 1: Pinterest that really reflect how you want to see yourself
- 10:53Speaker 1: and these habits that you want to keep at it.
- 10:56Speaker 1: These are prime examples of how you can find images
- 10:58Speaker 1: off Pinterest to reflect those habits that you see yourself doing.
- 11:02Speaker 1: So this is why vision boards are so important, and
- 11:04Speaker 1: that doing these little images on a piece of paper
- 11:08Speaker 1: or on a computer really makes a huge difference on
- 11:11Speaker 1: how you can reflect from your year, how you can
- 11:13Speaker 1: go throughout your year. And again, if you haven't, like
- 11:17Speaker 1: looked at your vision board from twenty twenty five, go
- 11:20Speaker 1: look at it. Because I feel really rewarded after seeing
- 11:23Speaker 1: how much I achieve for twenty twenty five and how
- 11:25Speaker 1: much I actually achieved off of it, So obviously it's
- 11:28Speaker 1: motivating me to create another one for twenty twenty six.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And I'm really excited to see everything that I achieve
- 11:34Speaker 1: for this new year ahead. So this is your sign
- 11:37Speaker 1: that if you're not doing a vision board, you need
- 11:39Speaker 1: to do so, whether it's a physical copy or a
- 11:42Speaker 1: digital copy for your iPhone or your laptop. Okay, so
- 11:45Speaker 1: now let's talk about being your own motivator, because I
- 11:47Speaker 1: think the only person that's going to hold yourself accountable
- 11:52Speaker 1: when it comes to actually wanting to achieve these things
- 11:54Speaker 1: for yourself is yourself. Like you decide to create your
- 11:59Speaker 1: dream life, you decide to do these things for yourself,
- 12:02Speaker 1: There's no one out there that's just going to keep
- 12:04Speaker 1: pushing you to do these things. Like you need to
- 12:06Speaker 1: want to do these things. You need to want to
- 12:10Speaker 1: have that drive and have that success that you've always
- 12:13Speaker 1: seen yourself have. So how are we going to do that?
- 12:16Speaker 1: We have a few tips here that I'm going to
- 12:17Speaker 1: give out to you guys that are going to help
- 12:19Speaker 1: you really just like motivate yourself throughout the entire year
- 12:23Speaker 1: of twenty twenty six. And one of them is keeping
- 12:26Speaker 1: promises to yourself, whether it's small promises, big promises, almost
- 12:30Speaker 1: like a non negotiable list of things that you want
- 12:33Speaker 1: to do every single day. That allows yourself to stay
- 12:37Speaker 1: motivated and also just holds yourself accountable to doing these
- 12:40Speaker 1: things every single day. So for me personally, like I
- 12:43Speaker 1: make it a non negotiable to walk every single day,
- 12:47Speaker 1: do a workout class every single day, or just like
- 12:49Speaker 1: a workout in general, and dedicating ten minutes of my
- 12:52Speaker 1: day to either journaling or writing a to do list
- 12:55Speaker 1: for everything that I have to get done each day.
- 12:57Speaker 1: That for me is like a non negotiable. I wake
- 13:00Speaker 1: up every single morning and that is the three things
- 13:03Speaker 1: that I'm like, I need to do this, and doing
- 13:05Speaker 1: it every single day makes me feel rewarded. I feel good.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I feel good going into my day knowing that I
- 13:12Speaker 1: was able to achieve those three things that I told
- 13:15Speaker 1: myself were a promise. Now, this is not for everybody,
- 13:18Speaker 1: and I know not everybody can do this, but maybe
- 13:21Speaker 1: it's doing one of those things. Maybe it's I want
- 13:24Speaker 1: to walk every single day, Okay, make that your daily
- 13:27Speaker 1: non negotiable. That is a promise that you're keeping to
- 13:30Speaker 1: yourself that you're gonna walk for twenty minutes every single day.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Maybe it's oh, I want to spend ten minutes every
- 13:36Speaker 1: single morning journaling to myself writing it to do list. Okay,
- 13:39Speaker 1: you do that. That's what's gonna work for you. Because
- 13:42Speaker 1: the thing is is that if you start doing something
- 13:44Speaker 1: every single day, you're building consistency, okay. And then once
- 13:49Speaker 1: consistency is built, then it's just programmed, right, Like you
- 13:53Speaker 1: almost feel like it's robotic, Like you wake up every
- 13:55Speaker 1: single morning and you're like, okay, I gotta do this,
- 13:57Speaker 1: like this is just something that has been built in
- 14:00Speaker 1: to my routine. And that's how we build routines, right,
- 14:02Speaker 1: We build a routine based off of things that we've
- 14:05Speaker 1: kept promises to ourselfs and things that we have created
- 14:08Speaker 1: as a non negotiable for ourselves. So I wanted to
- 14:11Speaker 1: share that because I think that really creates that motivation,
- 14:15Speaker 1: is telling yourself that you're going to do these things
- 14:18Speaker 1: every single day. And it can be small, it can
- 14:20Speaker 1: be big, it could be a whole entire list, it
- 14:21Speaker 1: could be a two hour morning routine. It doesn't freaking
- 14:23Speaker 1: matter to me. As long as you're holding yourself accountable
- 14:26Speaker 1: and doing something every single day and building the consistency
- 14:29Speaker 1: of doing it, you are already achieving that one thing
- 14:34Speaker 1: every single day and you're feeling good about it starting
- 14:37Speaker 1: off your day that way and going into the whole
- 14:40Speaker 1: entire day with knowing that you completed that. So that
- 14:43Speaker 1: I find is like the biggest one in the morning
- 14:46Speaker 1: is knowing that you completed that non negotiable that you
- 14:48Speaker 1: wanted to do every single day. And I feel like
- 14:50Speaker 1: I'm already on a high, Like I'm like, Okay, I
- 14:52Speaker 1: did these three things. What's next? Like what is my
- 14:55Speaker 1: end goal for the day today? And so creating these
- 14:58Speaker 1: non negotiables is really just an create that consistency for yourself.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I want to talk about a real life situation when
- 15:04Speaker 1: it comes to like creating non negotiables for myself, because
- 15:08Speaker 1: obviously I didn't become a morning workout girl overnight. Like
- 15:12Speaker 1: it's not something I just woke up and was like, oh,
- 15:13Speaker 1: you know what, I'm going to decide to be a
- 15:15Speaker 1: fitness girl and you know, work out five times a
- 15:18Speaker 1: week and all that. Like I spent like years upon
- 15:22Speaker 1: years building this routine for myself. This is not something
- 15:25Speaker 1: that I just woke up and started to do. This
- 15:27Speaker 1: is something that I started when I was I want
- 15:30Speaker 1: to say, eighteen or nineteen years old. I just really
- 15:33Speaker 1: felt self conscious of how I looked, and I decided
- 15:36Speaker 1: to make it a priority to start, you know, looking
- 15:38Speaker 1: into fitness figuring out like healthy habits and eating habits
- 15:43Speaker 1: and all that, and so I did a lot of research.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I followed a lot of YouTubers. I'm sure you probably
- 15:47Speaker 1: know some of them, like Whitney Simmons is a really
- 15:49Speaker 1: big one, Chrissichella. I've followed those two for such a
- 15:53Speaker 1: long time, and those two girls were such an inspiration
- 15:55Speaker 1: to me. Also, Sammy Clark was someone that I followed
- 15:57Speaker 1: who were really big in sprains for me in the
- 16:00Speaker 1: fitness industry. And so when I started to kind of
- 16:04Speaker 1: do my fitness journey, I was really following YouTube videos,
- 16:07Speaker 1: like videos that Sammy Clark would post or Chrisichella had
- 16:11Speaker 1: like her workout platform, and I would grab a pair
- 16:14Speaker 1: of dumbells and I would literally teach myself how to
- 16:17Speaker 1: do a proper deadlift or do a proper bicep curl.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Like I had no idea. I was starting from scratch,
- 16:24Speaker 1: and in the beginning, I was probably working out maybe
- 16:28Speaker 1: like two to three times a week, like I'm was
- 16:29Speaker 1: not working out like five to six times a week,
- 16:32Speaker 1: like I really was just trying to gradually figure out
- 16:35Speaker 1: also what I liked, like did I like lifting, did
- 16:37Speaker 1: I like doing like Matt Pilates classes, or just like
- 16:40Speaker 1: casual workout classes that you could do on YouTube, Like
- 16:43Speaker 1: I was really just trying to figure it out, but
- 16:45Speaker 1: I was really just taking baby steps, Like I was
- 16:47Speaker 1: really just trying to figure out what I liked, what
- 16:49Speaker 1: I didn't like. And then eventually once I figured out
- 16:52Speaker 1: what I liked and what I was actually consistent with,
- 16:55Speaker 1: and then I kind of figured out, Okay, I really
- 16:56Speaker 1: like to do workouts in the morning, first workouts at
- 16:59Speaker 1: night or workouts in the FF. So that's when I was, Okay,
- 17:01Speaker 1: I'm going to start holding myself accountable to waking up
- 17:03Speaker 1: at six am getting a workout done before my corporate job,
- 17:07Speaker 1: Like this is something that I all did before I
- 17:10Speaker 1: was an influencer, before I was a podcast house, Like
- 17:12Speaker 1: I decided to make that decision for myself of I
- 17:16Speaker 1: want to be a workout girl. I want to be
- 17:19Speaker 1: able to wake up in the morning, I want to
- 17:20Speaker 1: be able to get a workout in, and I want
- 17:21Speaker 1: to start my workday like That's when I felt good.
- 17:24Speaker 1: So I decided to change things in my life to
- 17:27Speaker 1: accommodate this new routine that I wanted to have for myself.
- 17:30Speaker 1: So I think that's just like a real life example
- 17:32Speaker 1: of like where I started versushere I am now. Like
- 17:35Speaker 1: obviously now, I do it every single morning. I make
- 17:37Speaker 1: it a non negotiable where I wake up early, I
- 17:39Speaker 1: get my workout in, I go throughout my day. And
- 17:42Speaker 1: at this point, as I said, it's been so consistent
- 17:45Speaker 1: and I've done it for so long that it's a
- 17:48Speaker 1: part of me, and like I feel like it's just
- 17:50Speaker 1: a non negotiable for me. So it's okay to take
- 17:52Speaker 1: baby steps. It's okay to take it slow. At the
- 17:55Speaker 1: end of the day. We all start from somewhere, and
- 17:57Speaker 1: if you keep at it, you're gonna start to see
- 18:00Speaker 1: the consistency and you're going to start seeing like the
- 18:03Speaker 1: changes that you want for yourself and how proud you're
- 18:06Speaker 1: going to be for yourself just looking back years from now,
- 18:09Speaker 1: like seeing you know, little Kayley, thinking about how you know,
- 18:12Speaker 1: eighteen years old, I know idy what I was doing
- 18:14Speaker 1: when it came to working out versus now, I'm so
- 18:17Speaker 1: happy with where I've come and how I never thought
- 18:20Speaker 1: I would be a reformer. Pilates girl, like so much
- 18:23Speaker 1: has changed. But the point is is that I have
- 18:25Speaker 1: always decided to make those changes and do those things
- 18:29Speaker 1: for myself because I knew that I felt good doing
- 18:32Speaker 1: it and that it was where I was supposed to be.
- 18:34Speaker 1: So always have that mindset of just knowing that you
- 18:37Speaker 1: can do anything you set your mind to. This next
- 18:39Speaker 1: one kind of goes off with what I just talked about,
- 18:41Speaker 1: but talking to yourself like a leader, So I talk
- 18:45Speaker 1: about positive self talk all the freaking time. You guys
- 18:48Speaker 1: know it. You guys are probably like, Kaye, We're sick
- 18:49Speaker 1: and tired of you talking about positive self talk. But
- 18:52Speaker 1: I don't care. I don't care how many times I've
- 18:53Speaker 1: said it. It truly makes a huge difference in how
- 18:57Speaker 1: you feel, especially right now when I'm going through the
- 18:59Speaker 1: thick of it. Okay, I am burning out, I am tired.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I keep telling myself, you are so close to the
- 19:04Speaker 1: finish line, Like, keep pushing it. You have two more
- 19:07Speaker 1: days of this, push through it. You know it's gonna
- 19:09Speaker 1: be worth it in the end. So just having that
- 19:12Speaker 1: inner voice kind of tell you that things may suck
- 19:16Speaker 1: right now, but things are gonna be better. Like you
- 19:18Speaker 1: need to just create that positive mindset, that positive self talk,
- 19:22Speaker 1: because that's what's going to really set yourself up for
- 19:25Speaker 1: getting that shit done that you want to get done.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Like you can't have that mindset where you're like I'm lazy,
- 19:30Speaker 1: I suck, I'm never going to change. Like you need
- 19:33Speaker 1: to change that and go get the hell up. We
- 19:35Speaker 1: have goals to complete. We're not quitting on ourselves today. Like,
- 19:39Speaker 1: be your own coach. Think about if you played sports, Like,
- 19:43Speaker 1: think about the coach that was always on you when
- 19:45Speaker 1: it came to sports. I grew up playing a lot
- 19:49Speaker 1: of sports, but I think what I remember from that
- 19:51Speaker 1: time in my life is having that push of a
- 19:54Speaker 1: coach just kind of like pushing you to be better
- 19:58Speaker 1: at this sport and all that. We don't have that anymore, right,
- 20:01Speaker 1: Like I don't have someone in my ear telling me, oh,
- 20:03Speaker 1: like you got to do this to be successful, or
- 20:05Speaker 1: you got to do this to complete this goal or whatever. Right,
- 20:09Speaker 1: Like I have to be my own coach and tell
- 20:11Speaker 1: myself that these are the things that you have to
- 20:14Speaker 1: do if you actually want to change or if you
- 20:17Speaker 1: actually want to make a difference. So you really just
- 20:20Speaker 1: have to be your own motivator, as I said, But
- 20:23Speaker 1: also be your own coach. I think, obviously talking to
- 20:26Speaker 1: yourself is so important, but I also strive the importance
- 20:30Speaker 1: of having a journal and literally talking to your future self,
- 20:34Speaker 1: or writing daily goals or monthly goals and all that.
- 20:38Speaker 1: That's why I always tell you guys to do these
- 20:40Speaker 1: little things that take like five to ten minutes within
- 20:42Speaker 1: your day, because it really does, again make a huge
- 20:45Speaker 1: difference in the end when you look back and actually
- 20:48Speaker 1: see those things that you actually achieve for yourself. So
- 20:52Speaker 1: get yourself a daily journal, get yourself a planner. It's
- 20:54Speaker 1: so affordable. I find writing things down physically helps me
- 20:59Speaker 1: remember things about it. I feel like if I just
- 21:00Speaker 1: write it in my notes, it's not gonna absorb the
- 21:03Speaker 1: way I want it to absorb, if that makes sense.
- 21:05Speaker 1: And also like I bring my planner everywhere with me,
- 21:08Speaker 1: Like I have it in my office, I'll have it
- 21:09Speaker 1: in my kitchen, Like I like the satisfaction of actually
- 21:12Speaker 1: like checking things off when I complete something for myself.
- 21:16Speaker 1: But also just like the little reminders that you tell
- 21:19Speaker 1: yourself of what you're so grateful for, Like I'm so
- 21:22Speaker 1: grateful to be able to move my body today because
- 21:25Speaker 1: it made me feel good, Like I like doing that
- 21:28Speaker 1: daily because it just reminds you how grateful you are
- 21:31Speaker 1: and how you know, not everybody gets that luxury unfortunately,
- 21:34Speaker 1: So putting in that ten minutes of your day doing
- 21:38Speaker 1: that daily makes a huge difference. And I don't know,
- 21:40Speaker 1: I think it just helps a little bit with motivation
- 21:42Speaker 1: when you hold yourself accountable to things that you have
- 21:45Speaker 1: to do throughout the day. And again, it's mini wins,
- 21:47Speaker 1: it's many achievements, but it's just one step closer to
- 21:51Speaker 1: getting to where you want to be. This next one
- 21:53Speaker 1: I kind of chatted about in the beginning of the episode,
- 21:55Speaker 1: which was obviously being your own motivator means that you're
- 21:58Speaker 1: gonna have to hold yourself account without chain, meaning that
- 22:02Speaker 1: you're going to go through rough patches, you're going to
- 22:04Speaker 1: feel like you might be going off track or off
- 22:06Speaker 1: the grid, and you always have to just remember your why.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I think whys are so important, like why are you
- 22:15Speaker 1: moving your body? Like are you working out for a reason?
- 22:18Speaker 1: What is the reason? Because then when you think of
- 22:20Speaker 1: your why, you're like, oh, okay, yeah, this is my why. Okay,
- 22:24Speaker 1: I'm going to that workout class because I remembered why
- 22:26Speaker 1: I'm going to that workout class. Another one could be
- 22:28Speaker 1: why am I working these extra hours at this job? Oh,
- 22:31Speaker 1: it's because my why is is that I want a promotion.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I want to have a better job, so I want
- 22:37Speaker 1: to work these extra hours and prove to my manager
- 22:39Speaker 1: that I'm well deserving for the promotion. Like little things
- 22:43Speaker 1: like that, you kind of have to just like tell
- 22:45Speaker 1: yourself your why and why. It's important to hold yourself accountable.
- 22:50Speaker 1: If you are feeling out of it, or if you
- 22:52Speaker 1: are feeling like you're not, you know, motivated that day,
- 22:56Speaker 1: go back to your why and determining your why is
- 22:58Speaker 1: just really going to help you bring that motivation that
- 23:01Speaker 1: you need, bring that drive that you want. Another real
- 23:03Speaker 1: life example for me when it comes to holding myself
- 23:05Speaker 1: accountable is my job. So obviously I didn't just wake
- 23:09Speaker 1: up with a million followers on TikTok, Like that's not
- 23:11Speaker 1: how it worked. There was obviously a lot of hard
- 23:14Speaker 1: work that came into play for that, and this was
- 23:16Speaker 1: obviously just a dream. Like I don't think I ever
- 23:19Speaker 1: thought it was going to actually happen. Right, Like when
- 23:22Speaker 1: I told myself I was going to be a content creator,
- 23:24Speaker 1: I was twenty five years old and I said, you
- 23:26Speaker 1: know what, this is something I love to do. I
- 23:28Speaker 1: love creating videos, I love posting online, I love social media.
- 23:32Speaker 1: My parents did not support me whatsoever. And I think
- 23:35Speaker 1: that's also hard, right when you have family that doesn't
- 23:37Speaker 1: support it. It's like, well, I don't really care what
- 23:40Speaker 1: you think, Like, this is what I want to do, right,
- 23:41Speaker 1: So you also need to have the mindset of like
- 23:43Speaker 1: trust your own gut, like, don't trust other people. Do
- 23:46Speaker 1: what you think is best for yourself. And so in
- 23:49Speaker 1: the beginning when I was doing content creation, I would
- 23:51Speaker 1: literally actually get upset at myself if I didn't make
- 23:54Speaker 1: the time of recording a video or if I didn't
- 23:56Speaker 1: make the time to edit that video and post daily.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Like I always wanted to make it a non negotiable
- 24:02Speaker 1: for myself to post one TikTok every single day, and
- 24:05Speaker 1: if there was a day where I didn't post one,
- 24:07Speaker 1: I would actually get mad at myself. I'm like, what
- 24:09Speaker 1: am I doing? Like what is my why? My why
- 24:12Speaker 1: is is that I want to be a content creator.
- 24:14Speaker 1: So in order for me to do that, I need
- 24:16Speaker 1: to post a video every single day. And obviously, yeah,
- 24:19Speaker 1: it's okay to be hard on yourself and like Obviously, again,
- 24:22Speaker 1: we're all gonna have bad days and good days, and
- 24:24Speaker 1: that we need to be okay with knowing that it's
- 24:27Speaker 1: okay to have those bad days. But for me, the
- 24:29Speaker 1: whole point was is that if I can just keep
- 24:31Speaker 1: pushing myself to do these non negotiables again, it kind
- 24:35Speaker 1: of goes to the non negotiable thing is if I
- 24:37Speaker 1: make it a non negotiable for me to post a
- 24:39Speaker 1: TikTok every single day and I record myself for the
- 24:42Speaker 1: two hours in the morning or whatever kind of TikTok
- 24:45Speaker 1: I decided to do, it's gonna reach me to that
- 24:47Speaker 1: end goal of hopefully becoming a full time content creator.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I really believed in myself that entire year of twenty
- 24:54Speaker 1: twenty one, I've just like pushing myself that it's gonna happen.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Just keep posting, you're gonna figure it out. I had
- 25:00Speaker 1: no niche, I had no idea what people wanted to
- 25:02Speaker 1: see from me. Once I figured out what I loved
- 25:05Speaker 1: and what people love to see from me, that's when
- 25:07Speaker 1: I discovered, Okay, this is what people want. People want
- 25:11Speaker 1: the healthy lifestyle, people like my wellness content. This is
- 25:14Speaker 1: things that I'm passionate about and being able to share
- 25:17Speaker 1: things that I'm passionate about makes me feel good. And
- 25:19Speaker 1: then that's when things actually took off. And I think
- 25:21Speaker 1: it took off because I was truly passionate about it
- 25:24Speaker 1: and I loved it. I think if you love what
- 25:26Speaker 1: you do, it's more enjoyable, it's more fun. You want
- 25:29Speaker 1: to keep doing it. Like I literally love my job
- 25:32Speaker 1: so much that I would record a podcast episode at
- 25:35Speaker 1: seven pm at night, Like I literally love my job
- 25:38Speaker 1: so much that, like it doesn't matter. I would rather
- 25:42Speaker 1: show up and do these things and put in the
- 25:44Speaker 1: hard work because I love what I do. I feel
- 25:47Speaker 1: like I'm good at what I do because I love
- 25:49Speaker 1: it so much, And I feel like, if you don't
- 25:50Speaker 1: love what you do, then I think you need to
- 25:52Speaker 1: change that, because I personally find that people are successful
- 25:56Speaker 1: because they truly love and are very passionate about their careers.
- 25:59Speaker 1: So that's just something I wanted to say, because at
- 26:02Speaker 1: the end of the day, I definitely was obviously really
- 26:05Speaker 1: tough on myself and I wanted this job so badly,
- 26:09Speaker 1: But I think it all comes down to hard work
- 26:11Speaker 1: and how much effort you put into it. At the
- 26:13Speaker 1: end of day, I think you just have to be
- 26:14Speaker 1: honest with yourself and not be too hard on yourself,
- 26:17Speaker 1: because obviously we're all going to go through ups and
- 26:19Speaker 1: downs when it comes to our careers, our goals in general,
- 26:24Speaker 1: for ourselves, our health and wellness journeys. Like obviously there's
- 26:27Speaker 1: going to be times where you might be working out
- 26:29Speaker 1: less because you just don't have the energy, or you're injured,
- 26:32Speaker 1: or whatever the casing be. But as long as you
- 26:34Speaker 1: always kind of come back to it and you again
- 26:38Speaker 1: try and just continue to push yourself to reach the
- 26:40Speaker 1: end goal, that's all that matters. I love this one.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I think this is so important when it comes to
- 26:45Speaker 1: motivating yourself, but tracking your progress visually, so using those planners.
- 26:51Speaker 1: As I said, maybe it's a habit tracker. Maybe it's checklist.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I'm a big checklist girl, as you guys know. I
- 26:58Speaker 1: feel so satisfied when I actually, like can check off
- 27:01Speaker 1: habits that I've done throughout the day, or check off
- 27:03Speaker 1: things that I wanted to complete for myself throughout the day,
- 27:06Speaker 1: whether it's work related, house tasks that I've been avoiding.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Like I love to do list. I think it's literally
- 27:12Speaker 1: like a visual diary every single day and you get
- 27:15Speaker 1: to just have small wins every single day when you
- 27:18Speaker 1: check things off. I just love this small reward each day,
- 27:21Speaker 1: and I think again, it just kind of like motivates
- 27:23Speaker 1: yourself to go into the next day. And obviously using
- 27:27Speaker 1: a planner every single day daily has just been like
- 27:30Speaker 1: something that's been very satisfying for myself, and I think
- 27:34Speaker 1: it kind of just like keeps pushing you to do
- 27:37Speaker 1: those little things and actually complete a lot of things
- 27:40Speaker 1: throughout the day. So that's just my take on that,
- 27:42Speaker 1: but I think habit trackers, checklists, planners, anything like that
- 27:46Speaker 1: are a great way to track your progress and again
- 27:49Speaker 1: continues just to kind of like boost your motivation. And
- 27:52Speaker 1: then the last one is rewarding yourself for the effort.
- 27:56Speaker 1: It could be the smallest things. You showed up to
- 27:59Speaker 1: work today and you were tired. Reward you stayed consistent
- 28:03Speaker 1: all week with working out every single day. Reward you
- 28:06Speaker 1: didn't quit after a stepback reward. This kind of goes
- 28:10Speaker 1: back to my burnout that I told you about how
- 28:13Speaker 1: I'm feeling really overtired this week. I was really hard
- 28:16Speaker 1: on myself. I was like, I don't know if I
- 28:17Speaker 1: can record a podcast episode this week, Like I was
- 28:19Speaker 1: really feeling tired, and then I was like, you know what,
- 28:23Speaker 1: I showed up. I'm here on the mic, I'm talking.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I'm proud of myself that I was able to get
- 28:27Speaker 1: an episode up and boom, it's a reward. I'm probably
- 28:30Speaker 1: gonna reward myself with a poppy because I don't have
- 28:34Speaker 1: a poppy every single night, and I'm like, all I
- 28:36Speaker 1: can think about right now is the holiday poppy. I'm
- 28:40Speaker 1: blanking out what it is right now? What is it?
- 28:43Speaker 1: Is it the cherry one? No? Oh, cram Mary, that's
- 28:46Speaker 1: what it's called. The cranmery. Like that, to me, is
- 28:47Speaker 1: gonna be my little reward for like pushing myself to
- 28:51Speaker 1: get this podcast done when I'm feeling a little tired
- 28:54Speaker 1: and overworked. Like just finding ways to reward yourself. Maybe
- 28:57Speaker 1: it's going to a coffee shop every single week, in
- 28:59Speaker 1: treating yourself to a Starbucks or treating yourself to a coffee,
- 29:02Speaker 1: like proving to yourself that you're proud of yourself for
- 29:06Speaker 1: showing up for doing these things and rewarding yourself for
- 29:09Speaker 1: that really just shows that you're showing up for yourself
- 29:13Speaker 1: and that you can get through anything, and that what
- 29:17Speaker 1: you're doing is for your future self. Like everything that
- 29:20Speaker 1: you're doing is you're making the decision. You're motivating yourself
- 29:23Speaker 1: to know your end goal and to achieve your end goals.
- 29:27Speaker 1: So anyways, I just wanted to talk about that because
- 29:30Speaker 1: I feel like sometimes we forget about the small things
- 29:32Speaker 1: and it's important to reward those small moments because they
- 29:36Speaker 1: do make an impact of your day to day life
- 29:40Speaker 1: and the end goal that you want to achieve for yourself. Anyways,
- 29:43Speaker 1: that's all I have for being your own motivator. But
- 29:46Speaker 1: the whole point of me recording this episode was really
- 29:48Speaker 1: just to remind you guys that you are the one
- 29:51Speaker 1: person that gets to control your life. You are the
- 29:54Speaker 1: one person that gets to make any decision that you
- 29:57Speaker 1: want for yourself, so you can never dream to you
- 30:00Speaker 1: and that I'm here to tell you that you can
- 30:03Speaker 1: achieve big things for yourself if you set your mind
- 30:06Speaker 1: to it. But if you set your mind to it,
- 30:07Speaker 1: you need to know that you're putting in the hard work,
- 30:10Speaker 1: all the effort towards achieving that main thing that you
- 30:13Speaker 1: want for yourself. So that was kind of like the
- 30:16Speaker 1: whole point of this episode, and also to kind of
- 30:18Speaker 1: re emphasize how important it is to take the time
- 30:23Speaker 1: this December, before January or after January. If you're traveling,
- 30:27Speaker 1: it doesn't really matter, but finding time in oother December
- 30:30Speaker 1: or January to spend two hours of your night or
- 30:33Speaker 1: of your day making a vision board and really visualizing
- 30:37Speaker 1: your future self of how you see yourself for twenty
- 30:40Speaker 1: twenty six. And it could be anything related to your health,
- 30:44Speaker 1: it could be work related, it could be you know,
- 30:47Speaker 1: maybe you want to be more confident in yourself. It
- 30:49Speaker 1: could be literally anything. And there's so many ways that
- 30:53Speaker 1: you can search on how to build a vision board.
- 30:55Speaker 1: If you don't know how, you can search it on YouTube.
- 30:57Speaker 1: You could search it on TikTok. There's so many videos
- 31:01Speaker 1: of how to do it. I do mine through Canba
- 31:04Speaker 1: and I literally upload images from Pinterest and I literally
- 31:06Speaker 1: create a vision board every single year. I've been doing
- 31:09Speaker 1: it now for probably four years, and I can honestly
- 31:12Speaker 1: say it was the best decision ever, and I think
- 31:14Speaker 1: it's the best thing ever. And it's so rewarding to
- 31:17Speaker 1: see everything you completed throughout the entire year. So I'm
- 31:20Speaker 1: going to end this episode off here. Happy holidays, guys.
- 31:24Speaker 1: If you do celebrate Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukut to anyone.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I am so grateful for all of you, and I'm
- 31:32Speaker 1: so so excited to go into another year for the
- 31:36Speaker 1: Hawkcrow energy. I hope you guys have the best time
- 31:41Speaker 1: spending it with family. I know the holiday season can
- 31:43Speaker 1: be fun for a lot of people, but it could
