  Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Monday, December 30th edition,

  2024, our final Monday of 2024, and we are counting down for the new year, 2025.

  This morning, I wanted to share something with you.

  Yesterday, I went to our local Sam's Club and went shopping with my two children.
• 1:39
  My daughter and my wife was working.
• 1:41
  And when you have two children and nowadays you just can't really 100% watch
• 1:49
  them unless they're inside the cart because they'll wander off, right?
• 1:53
  So I put both my children in the cart. So of course, Noah's in the little seat
• 1:58
  above and And Ariel is inside the cart.
• 2:01
  I put Ariel in charge of scanning the items. She loves doing that.
• 2:05
  And we decided to do two. I did two carts. One for food and one for the kids.
• 2:09
  That was very challenging. And I will tell you, if you are a single parent and
• 2:13
  you have to do this, wow. God bless you. It is not easy.
• 2:18
  So needless to say, we got the job done. As we were paying checkout line and
• 2:23
  we were leaving, we ran into an older couple. a couple and.
• 2:29
  They saw me, you know, kind of struggling, I think, with the two carts and they were ahead of me.
• 2:35
  And then next thing you know, as I was just walking outside,
• 2:38
  the gentleman was actually waiting for me with his wife. And he says,
• 2:41
  I'm going to help you get to your vehicle. Do you feel comfortable or OK with that?
• 2:44
  And I was like, well, that was very kind of you. Thank you very much.
• 2:46
  I mean, you didn't have to. But yeah, sure.
• 2:48
  I'm not going to lie to you now. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking,
• 2:52
  Angel, you know, there's an ulterior motive here.
• 2:54
  And I said, you know, I got to be careful. My surroundings.
• 2:58
  I've got two children. And obviously I grabbed the cart with my children and
• 3:01
  I kept that cart close to me.
• 3:04
  And, you know, really in reality, it was a gesture, a friendly gesture. And he was a man of faith.
• 3:11
  And it really got me thinking, number one, you have to be careful.
• 3:16
  Let's be real. You just can't trust anyone.
• 3:19
  And then number two, the most obvious thing, right?
• 3:24
  It's, wow, I can't believe I have to say that I can't trust anyone.
• 3:29
  Or everyone, I should say.
• 3:31
  It's a shame that somebody who had such great intentions, and I'm very,
• 3:36
  very grateful for what they've done, but somebody who has good intentions still.
• 3:46
  Put the doubt in me that I thought, maybe I shouldn't.
• 3:51
  Is this guy going to do this? Is going to do that?
• 3:55
  And I apologize for kind of like being all over the place if I sound that way.
• 3:59
  This morning, but I'm trying to relive it in my mind.

  And I keep saying to myself again and again, what I've done this over again, what I do the same thing.

  And I really don't know, you know, I, I think, I think because we live in a
• 4:15
  day and age where you have to be careful, probably next time I would be grateful that they offered.

  And I still wouldn't ask or wouldn't allow someone to help me,
• 4:24
  but I'm very curious what your take is
• 4:27
  on this because I don't want to sound disrespectful by any
• 4:30
  means and I'm grateful for the beautiful and generosity of this
• 4:34
  couple for what they did for me because I think it was it was just a beautiful
• 4:38
  godly thing and and and again you know it it bothers me that in the same breath
• 4:45
  I've got to say but I should have been more careful I mean, I'm responsible for two children.
• 4:51
  So I guess what today's episode is, you know, how do we determine what is safe
• 4:59
  for ourselves, our children.
• 5:02
  And how do we put that against not knowing that there are really good people
• 5:06
  out there and being okay to allow that to happen?
• 5:10
  Gosh, that is such a tough topic.
• 5:13
  And I feel as if what I'm saying is so, I'm coming across ungrateful and I don't
• 5:20
  mean to be because I truly was grateful for the help.
• 5:24
  And I'm just stunned by the whole thing. So I'm leaving this up to you guys.

  I would love to hear your feedback.

  Do you think I did? I mean, I don't know if there's a thing that's right or

  wrong here, but what would you do in my situation? You know?

  And yeah, I don't have much to say on that. I'm sorry, guys.

  I'm a little bit stunned by the whole thing still.

  I wanna pray for him, pray for Tony and others. So let's pray together.

  Heavenly Father, we thank you for today's morning episode. We thank you that

  we're able to come together each and every morning.

  Lord, there are many angels out there. There are many good people out there
• 6:01
  that try their very best to offer so many nice gestures.
• 6:07
  In the same token, we have to be careful around our surroundings because there
• 6:11
  are as many as there are, as much as there are many good people in the world,
• 6:16
  unfortunately, there are some that are not and their intentions are not for the good.
• 6:21
  So Lord, we ask you to continue to lift up in prayer,
• 6:24
  all the beautiful people and the good-hearted people and to not give up and
• 6:28
  to not allow others that seek negativity or seek out doing things harmfully
• 6:34
  to others weigh in on our decisions but allow the armor of God to be with us
• 6:41
  so that nothing and no one can penetrate.
• 6:45
  This armor that God has put upon us.
• 6:49
  And finally, we pray for many new faces that have been needing of prayer.
• 6:54
  We lift up in prayer, Tony.
• 6:56
  We pray for Gavin.
• 6:59
  We pray for Clinton and his family.
• 7:03
  We continue to lift up in prayer, our colleagues at work, our churches, our congregation.

  We pray for those that are traveling back home.
• 7:13
  We lift up in prayer the conclusion of
• 7:16
  2024 and ask god
• 7:19
  to protect us and heal us in some way
• 7:22
  one shape or another for the future and we
• 7:25
  ask all of this in your precious name as we pray the words that you taught us
• 7:30
  our father who are in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will
• 7:37
  be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread.

  And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation.
• 7:49
  Deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
