- 1:18Speaker 3: Hello, Rema, Hello, hello everyone.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Happy to be here on Mike, first time instead of
- 1:25Speaker 4: behind the scenes.
- 1:27Speaker 3: So excited to have you on.
- 1:28Speaker 2: And before we start into the questions, because you know,

- 1:36Speaker 2: I'm doing some bubbly water. We'll start with you, Annie.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Do you have anything happy hour ish?
- 1:41Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:41Speaker 1: Well, in my constant plight of not having enough refrigerator space,
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm trying to get rid of all of the light
- 1:48Speaker 1: beer my friends left at our place. So that's what
- 1:51Speaker 1: I'm lovely.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Is a light beer you got, your course, not a
- 1:55Speaker 2: current sponsor.
- 1:57Speaker 3: How dare you call me out and tell them what
- 1:58Speaker 3: it actually is too?
- 2:00Speaker 2: Because I think they know any I think they know.
- 2:03Speaker 3: They've been listening long. I've been like trying to hide
- 2:05Speaker 3: it for years.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I think they know it's just gonna happen. Rema, As
- 2:10Speaker 2: you are joining us for a happy hour time, are
- 2:13Speaker 2: you doing anything happy hour y? Yes?
- 2:15Speaker 4: I am currently sipping on a driver mouth Yeah fancy,
- 2:23Speaker 4: it's just hey, it's it might not be the time
- 2:26Speaker 4: of day, but it feels like it in my heart.
- 2:28Speaker 4: For some Vermouth So we're a big Vermouth household in
- 2:31Speaker 4: my house.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Oh you know what, that is so grown up of
- 2:35Speaker 2: grown up of you, because like that is never a
- 2:38Speaker 2: thing that.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I've ever said and probably will never way older that
- 2:43Speaker 3: I'm like.
- 2:43Speaker 4: As you will probably hear today, maybe the only grown
- 2:47Speaker 4: up thing I will say for the rest of the episode.
- 2:50Speaker 3: So we'll take it.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Now. I'm starting to think, like, yeah, you're definitely one
- 2:56Speaker 2: of those that might be uh.
- 2:58Speaker 3: That's cool, that used to be cool, that used to
- 2:59Speaker 3: be that is cool.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Sorry that hangs out, you know, listening to some good
- 3:04Speaker 2: music with some good drinks.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Music and drinks are always good. I don't know how
- 3:08Speaker 4: cool that makes me though. I'm not sure about the
- 3:12Speaker 4: coolness factor, but I like a good drink and I
- 3:15Speaker 4: like a good song.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I love it well obviously.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Listeners, Yes, we are sitting with our super producer Rima.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Can you do a small introduction of yourself for our listeners?
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yes, Hello, my name is Rema.
- 3:29Speaker 4: I am an audio producer, recording artists, sound designer based
- 3:35Speaker 4: in Atlanta and I produce for First Off Mom never
- 3:39Speaker 4: told you. Happy to be on the team. And yeah,
- 3:44Speaker 4: outside of iheartwork, I also do sound for movies sometimes
- 3:49Speaker 4: and also make music sometimes, So I like a microphone.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Okay, I love that because we didn't know you recorded music.
- 3:59Speaker 2: How would you describe your music?
- 4:02Speaker 4: Well, I haven't released anything in a long time. I
- 4:04Speaker 4: was in a band with some friends of mine, and
- 4:07Speaker 4: but it's always under the the indie rock umbrella. Synth, heavy, bass, heavy,
- 4:14Speaker 4: but yeah, some good old, good old rock and roll,
- 4:19Speaker 4: good old rock and roll. But it's been a minute.
- 4:21Speaker 4: It's been a minute since anything drop o good old rock.
- 4:25Speaker 2: You know what? We love anything rock and roll, synth, wonderful.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I feel like that's a common uh factor through all
- 4:32Speaker 2: of our producers. They know their music and they lost the.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Good I feel like it's a a lot of people
- 4:39Speaker 4: try to go into audio via music and then sometimes
- 4:43Speaker 4: figure out that they prefer doing more dialogue things like that,
- 4:48Speaker 4: at least from what I've talked to. So a lot
- 4:49Speaker 4: of the producers at iHeart even make their own music
- 4:53Speaker 4: and stuff. It's a common through line.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I guess I would say so, But I also have
- 4:59Speaker 1: to say, you're sounding cooler by the minute.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Again, we're just starting, Oh okay, just starting. It's downhill
- 5:09Speaker 4: from here, Yeah, it's down.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Okay, I can't wait. But I appreciate being gassed uff,
- 5:15Speaker 3: I appreciate that. Well, we love we're so happier here.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You really got kind of thrown into the fire because
- 5:22Speaker 1: we were like, well, we do all this stuff and
- 5:25Speaker 1: it happens at random times, and we promised we're normally
- 5:28Speaker 1: not like this, and then we continued to be like.
- 5:32Speaker 3: That, Yeah, that's all right, that's really all right.
- 5:37Speaker 4: It's part of the job built for it. I was
- 5:42Speaker 4: raised in the darkness. So they said, well, speaking of.
- 5:50Speaker 1: How did you get to podcasting, how did this become
- 5:54Speaker 1: your career?
- 5:57Speaker 3: Good question.
- 5:58Speaker 4: I was never a kid or an adult even that
- 6:03Speaker 4: knew what they wanted to do.
- 6:07Speaker 3: And I was never.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Really good at any specific thing, if that makes sense.
- 6:11Speaker 4: And so I went to college for something completely different
- 6:15Speaker 4: and kind of picked up audio work in.
- 6:19Speaker 3: My spare time for fun.
- 6:21Speaker 4: And then I ended up taking a like music technology
- 6:24Speaker 4: class at school, and I was like, oh, this is
- 6:28Speaker 4: so much better than what I've been doing, basically because
- 6:33Speaker 4: I was studying like cognitive psychology and political sci which
- 6:37Speaker 4: is like shout out to the sciences and all of that.
- 6:42Speaker 4: That's great, It just wasn't for me. I wasn't great
- 6:44Speaker 4: at school. So yeah, I started kind of working at
- 6:48Speaker 4: a studio, and then after I graduated, freelanced audio stuff
- 6:54Speaker 4: radio plays and music and also some podcasts, and then
- 7:00Speaker 4: ended up getting a shot here at iHeart And that
- 7:03Speaker 4: was five years ago.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Now, yeah, and here I am. You came in the
- 7:09Speaker 3: middle of COVID. Yeah, I can't.
- 7:10Speaker 4: I started working here in twenty twenty one. Oh yes,
- 7:17Speaker 4: we're making faces. You can't see listeners.
- 7:19Speaker 2: That's like you had to adjust in a way that
- 7:21Speaker 2: was unique timing. And I say this as a person
- 7:24Speaker 2: like it came right before COVID, So I would have been
- 7:27Speaker 2: at the office off and on, and I wasn't even
- 7:30Speaker 2: full time yet for like five or six months, and
- 7:32Speaker 2: then we were like gone.
- 7:34Speaker 3: So I could only imagine it was a learning curve.
- 7:38Speaker 4: But also in a way, in a way it kind
- 7:41Speaker 4: of suited me because I was never going to be
- 7:43Speaker 4: at the office from nine to five, you know what
- 7:45Speaker 4: I'm saying. That's that's something that I've ever had to do,
- 7:50Speaker 4: and so in a way.
- 7:52Speaker 3: It kind of worked out.
- 7:53Speaker 4: But obviously it was difficult to start anything and do
- 7:57Speaker 4: anything during COVID.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Being nosy, Uh, have you always been in Atlanta or
- 8:04Speaker 2: are you a transplant? No?
- 8:06Speaker 3: I am a trans weird way to ask, I guess
- 8:08Speaker 3: I'm a transplant in a way.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I was born in Atlanta, and I lived here until
- 8:15Speaker 4: I was like six six or seven, and then I
- 8:19Speaker 4: moved to Southwest Asia in the Middle East.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I'm Araon. I grew up over there.
- 8:25Speaker 4: I went to college there, I graduated college, and then moved.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Back here afterwards.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Okay, yes, because my sister was and yeah, my sister
- 8:34Speaker 4: and brother were living here.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Oh okay.
- 8:37Speaker 4: And the way things work over there is even though
- 8:39Speaker 4: I lived there for I went to school in the UAE,
- 8:43Speaker 4: and once your student visa expires, like you got to go.
- 8:48Speaker 4: So so when I graduated college, I graduated college and
- 8:52Speaker 4: I had to go, and I was like, well, I
- 8:57Speaker 4: guess I'll go to Atlanta for a little bit, not
- 8:59Speaker 4: thinking it was gonna last five years. But I love Atlanta,
- 9:03Speaker 4: so this is this is home now.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Okay. I was gonna say, that's a big jump.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I didn't really think you were gonna be like out,
- 9:10Speaker 2: like out of the country, that you were one of
- 9:14Speaker 2: the few who was truly born in Atlanta. So you
- 9:18Speaker 2: you are unique and so great because like no one's
- 9:21Speaker 2: born in Atlanta.
- 9:21Speaker 3: It's very rare real. But also you.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Know, maybe the listeners will catch that. You know, it
- 9:27Speaker 4: wasn't technically Atlanta. It was like I was in Woodstock,
- 9:32Speaker 4: which is north of.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Okay, but you know you're from the neck of the wood. Yes,
- 9:38Speaker 3: I'm in North Georgia.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I have to drive past that town to get
- 9:43Speaker 2: to my town further up. My family leg and j
- 9:47Speaker 2: great apples. Did you tell about the accent apples?
- 9:49Speaker 3: There you go?
- 9:50Speaker 2: No one else outside of Georgia, and we're talking about.
- 9:55Speaker 4: I will be going there in a couple of months
- 9:58Speaker 4: to get some apples.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Probably there you go, there you go, Okay, I don't.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Know what would start us racism.
- 10:12Speaker 2: That's so that's just a thing fancy or like what's
- 10:21Speaker 2: nicer hospital?
- 10:22Speaker 3: And then yeah, actually so true. Every time I drive by,
- 10:25Speaker 3: like through there, now, I'm like, this was not how
- 10:28Speaker 3: it was there, but what is that? That's how I feel.
- 10:33Speaker 3: And I'm much older than you.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Okay, well, very excited. I love learning about background. I'm like,
- 10:48Speaker 2: that's one of the things.
- 10:49Speaker 3: That I, uh, I have to.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Put in my this is what she did, what she did?
- 10:54Speaker 2: Speaking of notes, because I have to also have this
- 10:56Speaker 2: in my notes. I'll ask you your birthday off mic too,
- 10:58Speaker 2: so because that's gonna be a thing that we do.
- 11:00Speaker 2: But I need to know. One, what is your favorite
- 11:04Speaker 2: type of food that you can have, like, you know,
- 11:07Speaker 2: for whether it's like Mexican, Chinese, all those things too.
- 11:11Speaker 2: What is your favorite dessert or do you like do
- 11:14Speaker 2: you like dessert us? Another thing? And three with the
- 11:18Speaker 2: one snack that you must have all the time. These
- 11:21Speaker 2: are very important questions for me. I know, I'm just
- 11:26Speaker 2: saying I have to.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I've got a drink going and we're talking serious
- 11:34Speaker 4: stuff now, Okay, So I'm I'm Arab, I'm Palestinian, and
- 11:39Speaker 4: so that to me is the greatest cuisine in the world.
- 11:43Speaker 4: So I guess if we're talking, yeah, like genre of food,
- 11:46Speaker 4: it will always be Arab food.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Like, no doubt, no doubt on that.
- 11:51Speaker 4: I'm also vegan and if someone they have to tell
- 11:55Speaker 4: you that they're vegan, it's within the first five minutes
- 11:58Speaker 4: of you know.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Well, you know it's important.
- 12:06Speaker 4: But a lot of that kind of Mediterranean food lends
- 12:11Speaker 4: itself very easily to veganism as well. So shout out
- 12:15Speaker 4: to my Arabs over there making delicious food.
- 12:21Speaker 3: So yeah, does that answer the first question? Question? Check? Check? Second?
- 12:26Speaker 2: Second, do you eat desserts, and if so, what is
- 12:28Speaker 2: your favorite.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I do eat desserts. I love dessert. That was gonna
- 12:33Speaker 3: be judgement, I don't. I would just give you a lot.
- 12:44Speaker 4: My favorite dessert is probably a brownie or a cookie.
- 12:49Speaker 3: I love chocolate. I love chocolate. I like to bake,
- 12:52Speaker 3: and that's usually what I'm baking.
- 12:55Speaker 2: If I'm bacon, okay, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Milk chocolate for sure, unless you're if you're baking things.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Sometimes you need to use dark or semi sweet. But
- 13:12Speaker 4: to just eat is milk either oat milk and rice milk.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Those they make good chocolates.
- 13:21Speaker 2: And then the last question was the one snack that
- 13:23Speaker 2: you need to make sure is around.
- 13:26Speaker 4: That's actually okay, I'm sure I'll think of a better
- 13:29Speaker 4: answer tonight when I'm rethinking everything I said today. But
- 13:36Speaker 4: now that we're talking about chocolate, I love eating chocolate chips,
- 13:41Speaker 4: so I will literally take straight milk chocolate chips, obvious
- 13:45Speaker 4: semi sweet chocolate chips. So maybe that's because if you're
- 13:50Speaker 4: ever like late night and you need something sweet, you
- 13:53Speaker 4: just open up a packet of chocolate.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Chips and it'll you'll have a good time.
- 13:58Speaker 2: You'll have a good time, and that's the market for
- 14:02Speaker 2: a good night, you know what.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Maybe yeah, maybe that, okay, okay, no.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Yeah, those are the things that I have to have
- 14:11Speaker 2: in my list of understanding about you, and later I
- 14:14Speaker 2: will ask about like allergies, but we won't do this
- 14:17Speaker 2: on the secondary or whatever. You know, you know you
- 14:21Speaker 2: letting us know you're vegan is very helpful as well. Yes, again,
- 14:26Speaker 2: we will. We will be making sure that we go
- 14:28Speaker 2: to appropriate places when we go to sealiscate.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Thankfully.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Atlanta if we're hanging out in Atlanta is a very
- 14:34Speaker 4: vegan friendly city and I always have good food when
- 14:40Speaker 4: I'm here, so m h.
- 14:42Speaker 2: There's so many new restaurants out there too that I
- 14:45Speaker 2: want to try for sure, like new vegan locations that
- 14:48Speaker 2: I'm like.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Here, yeah, and a lot of places even if they
- 14:51Speaker 4: don't have vegan food on the menu, which they should,
- 14:55Speaker 4: they'll just make me something, which is basically.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Yeah for me.
- 15:02Speaker 2: The walks in and they're like, hey, yeah, what's you
- 15:05Speaker 2: my favorite.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Restaurant at this point, Like we walk in and they're like, so,
- 15:08Speaker 4: what are we feeling today? And I'm like, well, maybe
- 15:13Speaker 4: something something like a pasta or something or you have
- 15:19Speaker 4: the area and they're like, yes, media, they're just sick
- 15:22Speaker 4: of me asking the server what what can be made
- 15:27Speaker 4: being and they're.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Like, just we'll do it instead. No, I love it
- 15:31Speaker 3: all right.
- 15:32Speaker 2: The other questions because this is something that we've discussed
- 15:34Speaker 2: often amongst ourselves, and we've been discussing for a while.
- 15:38Speaker 2: So would you consider yourself an extrovert, an introvert, or
- 15:42Speaker 2: an ambi avert?
- 15:44Speaker 4: Okay, I consider myself an extrovert generally, but I'm an
- 15:52Speaker 4: extrovert that needs a lot of processing time, a lot
- 15:57Speaker 4: of solo processing time. But I feel I find myself
- 16:01Speaker 4: the having the most fun and the most confident within
- 16:04Speaker 4: with around people versus by myself.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Probably.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Okay, so you like to be out? How do you
- 16:11Speaker 2: feel about dancing?
- 16:12Speaker 3: Love to dance? Okay, that's good to.
- 16:15Speaker 2: You know some people who just did not want to
- 16:17Speaker 2: do this, you know, they're like, that's their nightmare is
- 16:20Speaker 2: to go to an area that's dancing. So I need
- 16:22Speaker 2: to know because I love good dancing. I am an
- 16:26Speaker 2: introvert that can be extroverted, but I love some dancing.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Yes, I can an extrovert that can be introverted, for sure.
- 16:35Speaker 4: So we'll meet in the middle, you know, on the
- 16:37Speaker 4: dance floor.
- 16:40Speaker 2: I like it any because you've gone back and forth
- 16:43Speaker 2: like you, you have been all across the board when
- 16:47Speaker 2: it comes to that level. Do you consider yourself more
- 16:49Speaker 2: of an introvert now?
- 16:52Speaker 3: No?
- 16:53Speaker 1: I actually I've taken like test and test and test,
- 16:57Speaker 1: and it's always like.
- 16:57Speaker 3: You because I'm an extrovert, and not even by a
- 17:00Speaker 3: little by a lot.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I think the thing is sometimes people forget that.
- 17:09Speaker 2: You know.
- 17:10Speaker 1: That doesn't necessarily mean I have to have people. It
- 17:13Speaker 1: means I have to have a new stimulus real I
- 17:17Speaker 1: need something to stimulate me. And I think that's absolutely true.
- 17:22Speaker 1: So even though I'm like not going out as much
- 17:24Speaker 1: as I used to, I do still need that kind
- 17:28Speaker 1: of like new.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Thing I relate to those. Yeah, I do not have that.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Do you guys know your Meyer's Briggs. Now I'm asking questions,
- 17:39Speaker 4: do you guys know?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:44Speaker 3: I did.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I have to go back and like I had to
- 17:46Speaker 2: go back and look at the initials mind myself what
- 17:50Speaker 2: it was.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Yeah, little letters. Uh, I don't think about it.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Do you know yours?
- 17:56Speaker 4: Last time I took it, I was in E N
- 17:59Speaker 4: F P. But I've changed throughout my lifetime. Yeah, taking
- 18:04Speaker 4: the test, I guess.
- 18:06Speaker 2: So I was an I n f P. So where
- 18:09Speaker 2: was that one? Uh huh.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Annie.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I still have the results somewhere and I could look
- 18:16Speaker 1: it up, but I remember it started with an e yes.
- 18:19Speaker 1: It was not surprised, and I think it was like
- 18:21Speaker 1: the diplomatic piece.
- 18:23Speaker 2: One right, all right, So that means where you need
- 18:27Speaker 2: to retake this and come back with the.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Newer results and see where we are going to do.
- 18:33Speaker 3: I like to follow up every personality.
- 18:36Speaker 2: This is I love a good quiz like you. Like
- 18:39Speaker 2: we are from that generation that took the sixteen magazine,
- 18:42Speaker 2: seventeen magazine and lived by it. This is my love language.
- 18:48Speaker 2: We are that generation, so we will put you with us.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Yes, that's awesome.
- 18:53Speaker 4: That's the equivalent of like an iPad kid now right.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Essentially, all of my seventeen magazine definitely had their goals
- 19:03Speaker 2: and like this is my soulmate.
- 19:05Speaker 4: I was so jealous of anyone I wasn't allowed to
- 19:08Speaker 4: get those magazines growing up, and I was really jealous
- 19:11Speaker 4: of any of my friends who had zac efron on
- 19:15Speaker 4: their magazine.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You know, Okay, I learned this yesterday and I'm still
- 19:21Speaker 1: processing it because I had a huge crush on Ryan Gosling,
- 19:25Speaker 1: like nine years old, huge crush when she says and
- 19:29Speaker 1: I'm much older than you also, So this was like
- 19:32Speaker 1: in his early career, Ryan Gossin. I learned a twenty
- 19:37Speaker 1: year old in my life thinks he's new and like
- 19:39Speaker 1: up and she's discovered him. And let me tell you,
- 19:44Speaker 1: I was fighting back everything to not be like I
- 19:50Speaker 1: was your Hercules every day recording it three day.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Have you heard about this new guy, Ryan Gotlin.
- 20:01Speaker 4: That is crazy because he has been working since he
- 20:04Speaker 4: was a child.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yes, he was on Miss Barbie, like yeah, oh my gosh,
- 20:12Speaker 1: even recently, how did you miss?
- 20:13Speaker 2: That's crazy, Like he's gotten to the point in his
- 20:17Speaker 2: career that is no longer independent films, like he's been
- 20:20Speaker 2: able to do that and liked himself the actor that
- 20:22Speaker 2: he can do the MC without any kind of like fallout.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Absolutely, I mean, he's My brain is just running through
- 20:31Speaker 4: a list of one hundred right constantly movies.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I couldn't even say anything back. I was so shocked
- 20:42Speaker 3: you were having a moment.
- 20:43Speaker 4: I am a certified Ryan Gosling fan as well.
- 20:46Speaker 3: That is my white boy of choice.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Him and Robert Pattinson are my two white boys of
- 20:54Speaker 4: choice and that's it.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Well, now he's brought.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Up Robert Pattinson. I have a question that has is
- 21:01Speaker 2: not on out outline. Uh, do you have a fandom
- 21:05Speaker 2: that you actually was a diehard about? Because when I
- 21:08Speaker 2: think of Robin Pattinson, obviously Twilight is going to be
- 21:11Speaker 2: the number one and I loved Twilight and like that
- 21:15Speaker 2: is my shame and love at the same you know,
- 21:19Speaker 2: so I and Annie has many too. For now, I
- 21:25Speaker 2: think it's still Star Wars. Yeah, Annie, would you still
- 21:28Speaker 2: claim that as Okay?
- 21:29Speaker 3: So what about you? I do love Star Wars. I
- 21:32Speaker 3: do love Twilight.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Growing up, Oh my god, I can't believe I'm saying
- 21:37Speaker 4: this on a microphone. Growing up, I was really online.
- 21:41Speaker 4: I was really online, and I was really on Tumblr,
- 21:45Speaker 4: and I had a like blog for my favorite band
- 21:51Speaker 4: at the time, which.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Was The Killers, So I was really.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Obsessed with them for a very long time. So probably
- 22:00Speaker 4: that was like my fandom. And then also just being
- 22:03Speaker 4: on Tumblr, you're in many different fandoms at once, the
- 22:08Speaker 4: Sherlock of It All and the Doctor Who and Star
- 22:12Speaker 4: Wars and all that. But I was always a music fan,
- 22:15Speaker 4: obsessive music fan. But it's I still and I still
- 22:21Speaker 4: love them. I still think they're a great fan. I
- 22:23Speaker 4: just I'm not as I'm don't repost photos of them
- 22:28Speaker 4: for hours every day, you know.
- 22:29Speaker 2: But yeah, So there's a rumor that the MySpace guy
- 22:33Speaker 2: is coming back to redo MySpace.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Oh and I feel like.
- 22:38Speaker 2: That would be a great opportunity to get back into
- 22:41Speaker 2: the Killers fandom and being able to post that song
- 22:45Speaker 2: a different song on the daily.
- 22:47Speaker 3: So you know what, don't threaten me with a good time?
- 22:50Speaker 2: Like Amy also has a diehard fandom of a band
- 22:59Speaker 2: as well, Mary and be a part of it.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I looking back, it's wild to me how much I
- 23:07Speaker 1: like learned to play guitar because of Green Day, because
- 23:10Speaker 1: I thought I could meet Billy Joe Armstrong. I like
- 23:15Speaker 1: joined a band named after Green Day in an attempt
- 23:19Speaker 1: to meet That's awesome.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Wait what was the name of the band? I don't
- 23:22Speaker 3: think I know this.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Left turn because we believe me and my friends were
- 23:30Speaker 1: going to a concert and we got behind the tour
- 23:33Speaker 1: bus and they they took a left, and we took
- 23:36Speaker 1: her right, despite us shouting at our poor chaperone, like
- 23:40Speaker 1: take her left, And so we think our whole life
- 23:42Speaker 1: could have been different if we had taken a left right.
- 23:45Speaker 3: And you're not wrong. You know who knows it would
- 23:49Speaker 3: have happened. I could be a music like a phenomen
- 23:52Speaker 3: right now.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Well, first of all, that's a fanfic waiting to happen. Really,
- 23:56Speaker 2: it hasn't already happened, Anny, this was true?
- 24:01Speaker 3: It has has it happened?
- 24:02Speaker 4: Annie?
- 24:02Speaker 2: I'm staring at you real hard. Yeah, I try to
- 24:05Speaker 2: see if I can get an answer.
- 24:10Speaker 3: She's not going to an going silent mode.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I know.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Okay, all right, okay, killers I got I'm getting such information.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Yeah, here's one of the ice niche. That's some niche
- 24:23Speaker 3: for you. This is I'm delighted.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Here's one of the icebreaker questions that I'm like, I've
- 24:29Speaker 2: always loved this question.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I don't know why.
- 24:31Speaker 2: I think it's the it's the repetitiveness in the rhyming.
- 24:35Speaker 2: But if you were a tree, what kind of tree
- 24:37Speaker 2: would you be?
- 24:39Speaker 4: Every time you asked me a question, I guess I'm like, Wow,
- 24:42Speaker 4: good question.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Question. Oh that's such a good question.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Oh man, it's funny too because it requires the knowledge
- 24:53Speaker 1: of tree. I know.
- 24:55Speaker 4: I feel like my favorite tree is a willow tree.
- 25:01Speaker 4: I don't and maybe that's what I would be. Then
- 25:04Speaker 4: I like that they they hold a lot in the
- 25:07Speaker 4: world underneath them, and or they flow with the movement
- 25:13Speaker 4: of air. So maybe that maybe a willow tree and
- 25:16Speaker 4: there's something something sad about them.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Oh, I was gonna say there's something wise about them.
- 25:23Speaker 2: They feel wild, and I think they just endure and
- 25:27Speaker 2: are long lasting.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Yes, I believe that there's something about the weeping willow too,
- 25:34Speaker 4: and the maybe that I feel like a big, old,
- 25:37Speaker 4: beautiful tree. Or I'll say a palm tree because I'm
- 25:40Speaker 4: Arab and we had a palm tree growing up.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Very different, but I love it, very different, very different.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yes, maybe, I don't think I've ever asked you that.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Have I ever asked you that question? No, this is
- 25:51Speaker 3: the first I have that. It's a question. Oh really,
- 25:55Speaker 3: I love that. I don't know why.
- 25:56Speaker 2: When I like college years, this is what I would
- 25:59Speaker 2: ask So, yeah, any if you were a tree, what
- 26:02Speaker 2: kind of tree would you be?
- 26:04Speaker 1: Well, I don't know a lot about trees, which is
- 26:07Speaker 1: why I made the comment.
- 26:10Speaker 3: So I love good. I love a willow.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I like I would like one, and I don't know
- 26:20Speaker 1: which one it would be, but I like one that
- 26:22Speaker 1: changes its colors, the leaves change colors like the bottom
- 26:27Speaker 1: something with some like transformation.
- 26:32Speaker 2: See like I get real like theoretical and the ideal
- 26:36Speaker 2: because I'm like the tree that I hate the most
- 26:38Speaker 2: is actually, I think the Georgia State Tree, and I
- 26:42Speaker 2: just have feelings about the Magnolia tree.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Magnolia, I do, I.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Know. But this is the thing though, because like I
- 26:51Speaker 2: also am like the person who says I love cats.
- 26:54Speaker 2: I mean, I love dogs, but I would be probably
- 26:57Speaker 2: a cat more than a dog myself in personality. But
- 27:00Speaker 2: the reason I say that about the magnolia tree is
- 27:02Speaker 2: because what I remember growing up, because there was a
- 27:05Speaker 2: giant one, which they are. They get huge, they smell
- 27:09Speaker 2: nice for a short period of time, and then they
- 27:11Speaker 2: get really stinky to me real quickly with the flowers.
- 27:15Speaker 2: And then those damn leaves when they fall off, and
- 27:18Speaker 2: if you get hit by one, if you get poked
- 27:19Speaker 2: by one, it hurts so ridiculously like it's so annoying.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I think, I remember, I have memories of it falling
- 27:26Speaker 2: on my head in the prickly list, and I'm cursing
- 27:29Speaker 2: at a damn tree. And then the amount of leaves
- 27:32Speaker 2: that are around and that just sit there and that
- 27:34Speaker 2: just like rot, I get so angry for really no
- 27:39Speaker 2: reason at all. And I'm sure I'm having a lot
- 27:41Speaker 2: of like people and are like being arbologists. Those are words, right,
- 27:44Speaker 2: Arbologists are gonna be like, how dare you say this
- 27:46Speaker 2: about the sacred tree?
- 27:48Speaker 3: But like everything about that?
- 27:50Speaker 2: But I feel like I'm kind of that tree, and
- 27:53Speaker 2: like I it seems like I could be really nice
- 27:56Speaker 2: and like very like appealing at first, and then more
- 28:00Speaker 2: you get to monomia, You're like, oh, she mean, and
- 28:02Speaker 2: that's kind of how a lot about that Magnolia's.
- 28:06Speaker 1: So you went on a deeper level. I like, yeah,
- 28:10Speaker 1: because a pretty tree. I think I like his.
- 28:15Speaker 3: You were like personality wise, were personality rise?
- 28:18Speaker 2: I mean, you could choose whichever, but personality wise, that
- 28:22Speaker 2: is how I feel. I have discovered a new tree
- 28:26Speaker 2: because as I've gotten older and owning houses and trying
- 28:30Speaker 2: to find things to like make my house look pretty like,
- 28:33Speaker 2: I've started to pay attention to bushes and trees. Oddly,
- 28:37Speaker 2: it's the eastern red bud, which you've seen them around town,
- 28:41Speaker 2: but they have like heart shaped leaves and they change colors.
- 28:44Speaker 3: I wish to be that tree. That's a good one.
- 28:47Speaker 3: I could choose it for looks. That's a good one.
- 28:49Speaker 3: It's like this just like painting.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Yeah, so they turn from green to like that pink color,
- 28:54Speaker 2: that bright color, and they keep they're just and they
- 28:57Speaker 2: are shaped like hearts.
- 28:58Speaker 3: That's beautiful. I couldn't know. It's like a fruit tree.
- 29:03Speaker 3: We could be a peach tree or some tree coconuts.
- 29:09Speaker 3: You know.
- 29:10Speaker 4: That also seems to mean my partner really knows a
- 29:13Speaker 4: lot about plants and trees and such things. And I'm
- 29:16Speaker 4: feeling like they're going to listen to this and be like,
- 29:18Speaker 4: you didn't say this tree, and so now I'm trying
- 29:23Speaker 4: to think of it.
- 29:23Speaker 3: We could do a mulberry tree. Those are nice.
- 29:26Speaker 2: I feel like we need to do We'll do a
- 29:28Speaker 2: round two with follow ups, because obviously we're getting some good,
- 29:32Speaker 2: hard hitting questions and there's more to be said. There's
- 29:36Speaker 2: so much better said, especially if we're just gonna talk
- 29:39Speaker 2: about trees in itself, and y'all, I have a giant,
- 29:43Speaker 2: giant fig tree in my backyard that only continues to grow,
- 29:47Speaker 2: and it now smells like rotten fruit around my house
- 29:50Speaker 2: because of the amount of molded figs that have fallen
- 29:54Speaker 2: in the amount of bees and squirrels in the amount
- 29:58Speaker 2: of times that my partner and I have been dungue
- 30:00Speaker 2: by said bees, we are now enemies with this vic tree.
- 30:04Speaker 3: So you hate magnolia trees, you hate fig trees.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Really, we're starting to have enemies with some of the trees.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Like there, they're making my lists.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Real aging is I think having more enemies than you expected,
- 30:21Speaker 4: because right now I'm having me and my partner are
- 30:23Speaker 4: having a war with the squirrels that eat our bird food,
- 30:28Speaker 4: our bird seeds. And I used to like squirrels and
- 30:31Speaker 4: now I don't.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Right things are from afar, And then you start to
- 30:36Speaker 2: be like you're not. I know you are. You come
- 30:40Speaker 2: to destroy me and I will win this game.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely, I feel like that was a very wise
- 30:47Speaker 1: thing you said you did.
- 30:52Speaker 3: I like that.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna, you know, try to keep that energy up,
- 30:57Speaker 4: just gather my enemies yet.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Okay, Well, continuing with our heart hitten questions, please, what
- 31:09Speaker 1: are your top three favorite movies and what was the
- 31:15Speaker 1: last movie booker show that made a lasting impact on you.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Let's go dude. Okay, So I love movies.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Very much. I watch a lot of movies.
- 31:29Speaker 4: My favorites are and I am on letterbox, so I'm
- 31:32Speaker 4: just gonna name my top four letter box the Lighthouse.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Really I love that movie. And here's another Robert Pts one.
- 31:43Speaker 4: I love Tenant.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Oh really we love, Yes we do, Yes we do.
- 31:52Speaker 3: You said top three.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you can give us four. You can give four,
- 31:56Speaker 2: and he usually gets.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Three x I usually you said two. But Eternal Sunshine
- 32:04Speaker 3: of the Spotless Mind. I love that movie.
- 32:07Speaker 4: And then there's a movie by a Lebanese director named.
- 32:18Speaker 3: The movie is.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Called Leila and the Wolves, and I love that movie
- 32:23Speaker 4: so so dearly and so much. It's kind of hard
- 32:25Speaker 4: to find, but if it's ever playing in a local theater,
- 32:28Speaker 4: please check that one out.
- 32:30Speaker 3: It is a wonderful.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Movie about kind of like the hidden hidden history of
- 32:36Speaker 4: women through fighting occupation in Palestine and Lebanon. And it
- 32:42Speaker 4: like interviews like dreams and memory and like memories of ancestors,
- 32:47Speaker 4: and it turns into like using collective memory of Arabs
- 32:51Speaker 4: to tell a story that is often not told.
- 32:54Speaker 3: So yeah, that'll put it on our list. You should
- 33:00Speaker 3: definitely come on Feminist Movie Friday.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Sometimes I love a movie and I can talk about
- 33:06Speaker 4: a movie for an hour.
- 33:07Speaker 3: For sure. Yes, on the list.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, any anything that recently has left an impact
- 33:17Speaker 1: on your movie book.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Oh yes, Well it's funny you say that because literally
- 33:24Speaker 4: yesterday my partner and I finished watching the original run
- 33:31Speaker 4: of twin Peaks, the Lynch TV show. God that was
- 33:37Speaker 4: insane and beautiful and crazy, and I'm still processing that one.
- 33:42Speaker 4: There's still more to watch, but I'm taking a small break,
- 33:46Speaker 4: so maybe that and then movie wise, I also recently
- 33:50Speaker 4: watched All About My Mother, the Pedro Almodovar movie. Also
- 33:57Speaker 4: highly recommend add it to the Thebtist Friday list. It
- 34:00Speaker 4: was like a gorgeous movie about womanhood, parenthood, friendship, and
- 34:06Speaker 4: forgiveness in women womanhood And I am listen and I'm
- 34:11Speaker 4: not even I'm I'm a non binary guy.
- 34:14Speaker 3: So I don't even.
- 34:16Speaker 4: But there's something about watching a movie about women that
- 34:20Speaker 4: really that really supports and promotes just like the complexity
- 34:27Speaker 4: of each character versus bringing them down to just the
- 34:31Speaker 4: trait of being a woman anyways.
- 34:34Speaker 2: That we love the intersectionality of it all because that's
- 34:37Speaker 2: that's what we want to see. So I was just yeah,
- 34:40Speaker 2: thinking about like any you were talking about obsession and
- 34:43Speaker 2: like the layers that it has, it keeps you thinking
- 34:46Speaker 2: it's movies like that and books like that and shows
- 34:49Speaker 2: like that that just really like what is happening, but
- 34:54Speaker 2: at the same time like leave you that pondering and
- 34:57Speaker 2: that feeling of like.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Hmmm, it stays with you.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Those moments I love hate those moments, and it's kind
- 35:05Speaker 2: of my general vibe I think in life. All right,
- 35:18Speaker 2: now we're getting down to the nitty gritty, real important stuff,
- 35:22Speaker 2: real important stuff. You ready. How do you feel about
- 35:26Speaker 2: Sex in the City anyway?
- 35:33Speaker 3: Everything I just said exactly.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Because I have watched Sex in the City. I will
- 35:40Speaker 4: say it was a painful watch for me because Carrie.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Annoys me so much. You're not right.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Your decision making annoys me so much. And I don't
- 35:52Speaker 4: know where you guys are on your watch of on
- 35:55Speaker 4: the show. I remember you were doing that, but the
- 35:57Speaker 4: way it ends is crazy.
- 36:00Speaker 2: M Yeah. So Annie has not seen all of these yet.
- 36:05Speaker 2: She is slowly building up. We are very slowly building
- 36:09Speaker 2: up because season three, Okay, we're almost done with season three.
- 36:12Speaker 3: We're almost done with season three. We're almost done with
- 36:14Speaker 3: season three.
- 36:16Speaker 2: The reason we asked this is a you will have
- 36:18Speaker 2: to come on as a part of our show. It's
- 36:20Speaker 2: kind of like the initiation watch with us and reaction
- 36:24Speaker 2: with us, because we think it's very important that the
- 36:28Speaker 2: entirety of Semantid does this as a team happy to.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Be so we will put that in there.
- 36:35Speaker 2: But with that, just without like following up later with
- 36:40Speaker 2: our quiz, what is what character of the sex city
- 36:44Speaker 2: in the city would you be most like?
- 36:46Speaker 3: Another bigger? Okay, that's really hard for me.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Okay, Also to be honest, I have not watched this
- 36:51Speaker 4: in a really long time, so I'm using memory of
- 36:55Speaker 4: why I was annoyed at every single person on the show.
- 36:58Speaker 4: But it's definitely not Care is definitely not Charlotte. Maybe
- 37:03Speaker 4: I would probably say Samantha because Samantha is the most firstly,
- 37:10Speaker 4: is like gay and so that obviously, and then it's
- 37:17Speaker 4: also the character that actually was kind of the least
- 37:23Speaker 4: taken by the men in her life. I think maybe
- 37:28Speaker 4: from what I remember, kind of owned herself.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Although have you guys watched the movies yet?
- 37:35Speaker 2: So she Annie, did you watch the first one?
- 37:38Speaker 3: Though you didn't want to what you did? Right?
- 37:42Speaker 1: No, I's everybody to go watch that horrible name Night
- 37:45Speaker 1: Shaalan movie that happening and.
- 37:49Speaker 3: They were real mad at me though.
- 37:54Speaker 2: So I seen the first one, I refused to I
- 37:57Speaker 2: was gonna go. I was like, I was already I
- 38:02Speaker 2: would No, we were already. I was not emotionally prepared.
- 38:05Speaker 2: And so when we do, because we will if we
- 38:08Speaker 2: make it through. That's the biggest try to get through that,
- 38:12Speaker 2: because we do want to take it as a whole.
- 38:14Speaker 3: But no, but why what what?
- 38:18Speaker 4: Well, just because the second movie is set in the Middle.
- 38:21Speaker 3: East and it's so bad stereotype it is everything. Yeah,
- 38:31Speaker 3: oh my god, it's so terrible, and why would you
- 38:33Speaker 3: do this in the Middle East? Why would you do that? Literally?
- 38:36Speaker 4: And that is to say, like Samantha in that movie
- 38:40Speaker 4: really upsets me.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Okay, but maybe maybe Samantha. What was the fourth ones? Miranda?
- 38:47Speaker 4: Right, Miranda, Well, Miranda should have been gay too. They
- 38:51Speaker 4: should have all been gay. But that's just my head canon.
- 38:54Speaker 2: I guess you haven't, just like us, I have not
- 38:58Speaker 2: seen the follow up. So Miranda ends up figuring some
- 39:03Speaker 2: things out, not to not to spoil too much, but
- 39:06Speaker 2: she ends up figuring some things.
- 39:07Speaker 3: I mean, we'll we'll just leave that up. I mean
- 39:11Speaker 3: we'll live at that.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Yeah, Because I would say, like Miranda's attitude is probably
- 39:18Speaker 2: even though during its release. She was seen as the
- 39:22Speaker 2: annoying one, but she was probably the most real to
- 39:25Speaker 2: me in like in like understanding she doesn't give up,
- 39:29Speaker 2: have to give up her life if she even with
- 39:33Speaker 2: all these things, and also kind of coming to terms
- 39:36Speaker 2: with the fact that sometimes Carrie is.
- 39:39Speaker 3: The worst over the top.
- 39:43Speaker 4: Excuse me, excuse me to the Carrie fans, I I,
- 39:47Speaker 4: you know, support women's rights and wrongs.
- 39:50Speaker 3: I think, there you go, there you go.
- 39:52Speaker 2: But at the same time, we don't have to be fans.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Of all them. Yes, absolutely right, that's just a thing
- 40:00Speaker 3: we know, okay.
- 40:02Speaker 2: And then as tradition, because we've been doing a little
- 40:05Speaker 2: bit of Sex in the City such that I had
- 40:07Speaker 2: to send out a quiz to y'all. It is an
- 40:08Speaker 2: updated quiz, so I had to take in myself as well.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Annie. I'm made sure you took it.
- 40:13Speaker 2: So in your quiz, who did you end up getting?
- 40:16Speaker 3: Rima?
- 40:16Speaker 4: The Sex and the City character I am most like,
- 40:20Speaker 4: was Samantha?
- 40:22Speaker 3: Really that's what you got? I was so yeah.
- 40:29Speaker 2: I was just like, oh right, maybe Okay does know,
- 40:33Speaker 2: maybe I'm just kidding.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Any BuzzFeed I actually knows what's going on, but got
- 40:39Speaker 3: their finger on the this this one time, what about
- 40:43Speaker 3: you Annie, Well, I got Carrie. Carrie, you know you
- 40:50Speaker 3: know what.
- 40:50Speaker 1: The funny thing is, We've taken similar quizzes I think
- 40:54Speaker 1: three or four times. I still maintain I haven't seen
- 41:02Speaker 1: the show, so some of the questions I'm like, I
- 41:03Speaker 1: don't know who any of these people are, so I'm
- 41:06Speaker 1: just like picking randomly, like this guy I don't know maybe,
- 41:11Speaker 1: but yeah, it's it. I got Carrie and it said
- 41:14Speaker 1: you probably think you're a Samantha or Charlotte. Try not
- 41:18Speaker 1: to overthink it.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Yes, which is her?
- 41:21Speaker 1: Her?
- 41:21Speaker 2: Acute you feel which, by the way, I was also
- 41:23Speaker 2: a Carrie, and I was very disappointed. I kind of
- 41:25Speaker 2: wanted to throw the phone because I was like, this
- 41:27Speaker 2: is this is a lie.
- 41:29Speaker 3: You're a lie. I don't know me, you don't know me?
- 41:32Speaker 3: How dare you? How dare you? Yeah?
- 41:36Speaker 4: I also I was answering and I was like some
- 41:40Speaker 4: of these like faces that they were having us shooes between.
- 41:42Speaker 3: I was like, I don't remember who this guy is.
- 41:45Speaker 3: I have to say too.
- 41:47Speaker 1: One time a listener wrote in with what I think
- 41:49Speaker 1: is a really good point is that like usually people
- 41:53Speaker 1: are blended characters, so like you're a Miranda and a
- 41:56Speaker 1: Samantha like you're a blend.
- 41:59Speaker 3: So some quiz is do it that way. I prefer that.
- 42:03Speaker 2: I actually I would like the side characters to be
- 42:06Speaker 2: some of the people that we are. They talked about Magda,
- 42:09Speaker 2: I was like she was judgmental, but then she was
- 42:11Speaker 2: a great caretaker.
- 42:13Speaker 3: I would I would be her. Let me be her,
- 42:16Speaker 3: be is great.
- 42:18Speaker 2: And then the biggest and the most important question of all,
- 42:21Speaker 2: Team Big or Aiden.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Don't do this to me? I had to Samantha doesn't
- 42:27Speaker 3: pull her punch.
- 42:30Speaker 4: So I'm gonna I'm gonna answer this, But it's not
- 42:33Speaker 4: because I like the person I'm gonna say. Let me
- 42:36Speaker 4: be clear, Okay, it's just because I have to say
- 42:38Speaker 4: Aiden because I hate Big.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I hate Big.
- 42:44Speaker 2: That is the correct answer.
- 42:45Speaker 5: That is the correct, and I think that is the
- 42:47Speaker 5: correct and I think he has to stay away from
- 42:51Speaker 5: every woman ever basically, so maybe.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Aiden, Yes, that is the correct That's the only answer.
- 43:00Speaker 2: The overall answer for all of it is Steve.
- 43:02Speaker 3: But exactly.
- 43:04Speaker 2: But what's so funny is I just saw a clip
- 43:08Speaker 2: of the woman who plays Charlotte Kristen's her name is
- 43:12Speaker 2: Kristin something.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Uh.
- 43:13Speaker 2: She has a podcast now surprise surprise and she was
- 43:18Speaker 2: talking to someone. It was a celebrity and they were
- 43:20Speaker 2: talking about Big do you have any plans.
- 43:24Speaker 3: To see and just like that, I didn't. We haven't
- 43:27Speaker 3: watched it. I doubt we're gonna get there.
- 43:29Speaker 2: We watched the first season, Actually didn't we did, Yeah,
- 43:32Speaker 2: we didn't. We had a spot, we had a sponsor.
- 43:36Speaker 2: But and and just for those listeners right now, if
- 43:38Speaker 2: you're planning to watch, just like that, I would go
- 43:41Speaker 2: ahead and stop. If you don't want any spoilers, do
- 43:44Speaker 2: you mind if I tell you a spoiler?
- 43:47Speaker 3: Big Dies? Oh you know I did hear that?
- 43:50Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 43:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, yes.
- 43:51Speaker 2: So at one point in that podcast, the person was like,
- 43:55Speaker 2: you know, what what happens?
- 43:57Speaker 3: Can he just go away?
- 43:58Speaker 2: And Kristen's like, oh Kristen Day, her face goes Should
- 44:01Speaker 2: we tell him? Yes?
- 44:04Speaker 3: Yes, everyone was like oh thank god. Yeah. I mean
- 44:09Speaker 3: about damn time.
- 44:12Speaker 2: When we were in the middle of it. I was like,
- 44:14Speaker 2: they went through all that just for him to die.
- 44:16Speaker 3: That's so true, Oh my god, weird. But okay, that's
- 44:19Speaker 3: a choice.
- 44:21Speaker 2: But I thought that was hilarious because he has something
- 44:23Speaker 2: that everybody has now got him on board.
- 44:24Speaker 3: And be like he's the worst. Yeah, he's so bad.
- 44:27Speaker 4: And and the thing is is that this is why
- 44:30Speaker 4: I'm annoyed with Carrie, because I'm like, girl, how many
- 44:35Speaker 4: times are.
- 44:36Speaker 3: You gonna let someone do this to you?
- 44:38Speaker 4: But you know, we all fall into our patterns and
- 44:40Speaker 4: all those things. I love to judge like a TV character,
- 44:44Speaker 4: but if you are relating to carry at all, I'm
- 44:45Speaker 4: not judging you.
- 44:49Speaker 2: I didn't say, like, I think the back to back
- 44:51Speaker 2: bad choices were the parts that really would just like
- 44:54Speaker 2: why why are we doing this? What's what's happening? But
- 44:58Speaker 2: like some of the things made sense, some of the
- 45:02Speaker 2: things like sure, but the back and board, like we've
- 45:05Speaker 2: talked about the cultural context and honestly, a lot of
- 45:09Speaker 2: like uh, freedom taught women and like their sexuality and
- 45:14Speaker 2: opening up. Maybe like some of the younger generation be
- 45:16Speaker 2: like that was too much, y'all need to calm down.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Maybe because we were like in our generation, we were
- 45:22Speaker 2: way too repressed that we went way overboard to THEO
- 45:26Speaker 2: Like gen zs are like, stop it, y'all.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Yeah, isn't it? Like gen Z is like not really
- 45:32Speaker 3: into sex as much.
- 45:34Speaker 2: They're like, why is this such a big deal to
- 45:36Speaker 2: Y'all's not a big deal to us, and then we
- 45:39Speaker 2: wanted we the uh you know what millennials. I was like,
- 45:44Speaker 2: gen Z millennials slash me, I'm a part gen X millennial.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Like you're welcome. Yeah, the hard work that we did
- 45:52Speaker 3: not mean allowed you did not have to care. No,
- 45:55Speaker 3: I'm just kidding.
- 45:57Speaker 2: It's kind of funny because that's kind of the re
- 46:00Speaker 2: or gens. Sex in the City, though, really did bring
- 46:02Speaker 2: in something even for the newer generation of like how
- 46:06Speaker 2: like we started to talk about things. There's a lot
- 46:08Speaker 2: of cringe moments of like, oh yeah that did not age. Well,
- 46:11Speaker 2: this did not.
- 46:12Speaker 3: Watching things in hindsight is always different. Yeah, for sure.
- 46:16Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'm I consider myself gen Z, but I'm
- 46:21Speaker 4: like I'm in that cusp gen Z millennial. Okay, so
- 46:25Speaker 4: I kind of have It's like I have an angel
- 46:28Speaker 4: and a devil, but it's like two devils on my shoulder.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Then, yes, I'm the excellennial. I'm on the Okay, yes, yes, absolutely,
- 46:41Speaker 3: I'm old. Everything's fine.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Well, I think we should end with one something something surprising,
- 46:50Speaker 2: fun fact about you that you would tell us and
- 46:55Speaker 2: our listeners.
- 46:56Speaker 3: I was like, I'm like, I've never had a fact
- 46:58Speaker 3: about me ever in my life.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Actually, oh, there, you've had a few, including uh, like
- 47:06Speaker 2: the being a rock star essentially, right, that's pretty cool.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Full blown rock start. No, I think not even close.
- 47:15Speaker 4: But I this is a hard one for me right now.
- 47:21Speaker 2: We also found out you have a cat. Yes, I
- 47:23Speaker 2: have an eighteen year old cat. I have an eighteen
- 47:26Speaker 2: year old cat and her name is five and I
- 47:30Speaker 2: got her when I was in fifth grade. We found
- 47:33Speaker 2: each other, so.
- 47:35Speaker 3: We've been that's not the fun fact. I just think
- 47:37Speaker 3: that's fun. It is fun. Yeah, it is fun. And
- 47:40Speaker 3: I also have another cat, my partner's cat, Moshi, And
- 47:44Speaker 3: that's my beautiful family.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Ah. We have to have some guest appearances because we
- 47:50Speaker 2: love seeing pets. I love a good pet interruption.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Yeah, if I open this door right now, there might
- 47:57Speaker 4: be a cat behind the door, Like why is this
- 48:00Speaker 4: store closed in my mansion?
- 48:03Speaker 3: Exactly?
- 48:04Speaker 4: But yeah, that's maybe my fun fact, if you think
- 48:07Speaker 4: it's fun or not. I am fluent in Arabic and
- 48:12Speaker 4: can kind of speak German fun facts.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Between the three of us, and he speaks French Mandarin Ish.
- 48:24Speaker 3: I say, would say this loosely.
- 48:25Speaker 2: I loosely can speak, and we loosely can speak Spanish.

- 48:41Speaker 1: the world. We can speak a handful language.
- 48:45Speaker 3: We ask a question and where to go?
- 48:48Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely, yes, I can introduce myself. I'm confident in
- 48:53Speaker 1: the basic skills exactly.
- 48:56Speaker 3: I can ask where the bathroom is.
- 48:59Speaker 1: That's important, It's really important. It is well, Rema. We
- 49:04Speaker 1: could keep going on and on. Uh, this has been

- 49:09Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks for having me.
- 49:11Speaker 1: We'll definitely have a follow up. We'll have some more
