Latest / Vanity Farah with Chris Farah / 90 Day Fiancé Before the 90 Days Season 8 Episode 15 “Mayday! Mayday!”
Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello, everyone, Welcome back to Vanity Farrah. My name is
- 0:07Speaker 1: Chris Fara, and I am very excited to talk to
- 0:09Speaker 1: you about a little show called ninety eight. Fyance, honey,
- 0:12Speaker 1: it's before the ninety Days at season eight. It's episode fifteen,
- 0:16Speaker 1: May Day, May Day. Yeah. I mean, this is the
- 0:19Speaker 1: worst flight possible. This is scary. This is the kind
- 0:23Speaker 1: of flight that when you board a flight you think
- 0:28Speaker 1: about and then you have to take an adavan. It's
- 0:31Speaker 1: the worst possible case scenario. Here's the thing. I want
- 0:36Speaker 1: marriages to work, and I want love relationships to work,
- 0:40Speaker 1: and I want you to travel from point A to
- 0:42Speaker 1: point B safely, and yet that's not the way it works.
- 0:47Speaker 1: All the time. I think it's absolutely safer to travel
- 0:50Speaker 1: by plane than it is if you don't want to
- 0:53Speaker 1: get your heart broken and you try your luck and love.
- 0:56Speaker 1: But at the same time, you know that's the risk,
- 0:58Speaker 1: no risk, no reward. I don't know. Here's the thing.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I am very excited to talk about this episode, and
- 1:05Speaker 1: I have a pictures galore, and it's interesting because like
- 1:09Speaker 1: when it comes to Laura and Burkon, we haven't had
- 1:12Speaker 1: them in a second. When they came back on screen
- 1:14Speaker 1: at first, I was like, nah, now I'm good. You know,
- 1:18Speaker 1: I'm this couple is so weird, and I don't understand
- 1:22Speaker 1: the point because like, and I wasna actually gonna start
- 1:26Speaker 1: with them, but let's start with Laura and Burkon. Okay,
- 1:28Speaker 1: A lot of fodder has said this. She very much
- 1:31Speaker 1: acts like she is in a romantic fantasy. She's obviously
- 1:36Speaker 1: an erotica writer, and she has had moments where she
- 1:40Speaker 1: trips up and lets us know that she's living in
- 1:44Speaker 1: a fantasy land. She wants Bierkon to be like a
- 1:47Speaker 1: provider protector who's like a hot kind of like maybe
- 1:52Speaker 1: dark souled, but like deep in love with her guy.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And she also wants Michael to come somehow realize that
- 2:02Speaker 1: he's left, you know, he's let the love of his
- 2:06Speaker 1: life leave him, and he's left to the devices of
- 2:10Speaker 1: coming and getting her and bringing her back like a
- 2:12Speaker 1: caveman to America. She like has this fantasy that these
- 2:16Speaker 1: two men I think are going to like fight over
- 2:18Speaker 1: her and she's going to be this damsel between like
- 2:21Speaker 1: no beer con no, Michael, No. I hate it. Oh,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I hate the idea of two men that I have
- 2:31Speaker 1: literally made me when they would never want to meet
- 2:34Speaker 1: like Michael. I brought Michael here, Michael wouldn't have to.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Here's the thing, why is Michael there? In the beginning
- 2:42Speaker 1: where like Michael loves her or b he's worried about her,
- 2:46Speaker 1: or see which is true, she's making it seem like
- 2:48Speaker 1: she could be, you know, being taken advantage of by
- 2:51Speaker 1: someone who is a gambling, attic, blobbady blue. Michael shows
- 2:55Speaker 1: up with like all of the errors of her older
- 2:59Speaker 1: brother or father who would be like highly protective of her.
- 3:04Speaker 1: And then as we go on we remember they're like
- 3:06Speaker 1: they've known each other for like a year and a half.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It's just so interesting, is what is happening with them
- 3:12Speaker 1: and why he would spend money to come to a
- 3:16Speaker 1: country for someone you know he doesn't love. So as
- 3:21Speaker 1: we start, it's awkward, right, and they're making it seem
- 3:23Speaker 1: more awkward the producers there's bad music. You know. Michael
- 3:27Speaker 1: is full again ned Flanders energy, like taking every morsel
- 3:33Speaker 1: of coal being thrown his way by Beer Khan and
- 3:36Speaker 1: those pieces of coal being thrown his way or either
- 3:39Speaker 1: verbal daggers are just the energy and looks that he's getting.
- 3:43Speaker 1: He's transforming all of those negative negative negative reactions to
- 3:48Speaker 1: him into like very positive, light filled, almost too jovial responses.
- 3:55Speaker 1: He's very like, well, I'm just so happy to be here. Okay, Well,
- 3:59Speaker 1: let's see what relationships like. And ber Kan, of course
- 4:02Speaker 1: is like you love Now. At this point, Berkan's still
- 4:06Speaker 1: being awkward, and Michael's like, well, I have two gifts
- 4:09Speaker 1: for you, and Laura's like, great, I love gifts. I
- 4:13Speaker 1: love and men give me gifts. So then he gives
- 4:15Speaker 1: her a copy of her book. Okay, maybe it's like
- 4:19Speaker 1: the one that's released recently and she didn't get it
- 4:22Speaker 1: or I don't know, okay. And the second thing is
- 4:24Speaker 1: more packing cubes, packing cubes. He had given her packing
- 4:28Speaker 1: cubes before she loved him. Guess what he brought more.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Nothing says romance like packing cubes. Now at this moment,
- 4:35Speaker 1: we're supposed to be like, wait, is beer Kan still jealous?
- 4:38Speaker 1: It could have been anything? Could you imagine me? Like?
- 4:40Speaker 1: I got YouTube presents and one of them is packing
- 4:43Speaker 1: cubes on a trip you're already on. No lingerie, no flower,
- 4:46Speaker 1: no weird poem, no like sentimental gift from their inside joke,
- 4:51Speaker 1: no pickleball ball you know it's just okay, so then
- 4:55Speaker 1: it kind of like picks up where beer Khan I
- 4:58Speaker 1: think it's somewhat charmed by these gifts and somewhat charmed
- 5:02Speaker 1: that Michael isn't being mean, isn't being aggressive, and it's like, well, okay, ill,
- 5:06Speaker 1: never mind, I'll do a one ady and guess what
- 5:08Speaker 1: I'll show you on my city. Yeah, that's nice. Hey,
- 5:10Speaker 1: let's get in the taxi first and let's talk about
- 5:14Speaker 1: baseball versus soccer, riveting conversation. We'll get your hotel checked
- 5:21Speaker 1: in and then you know, I'll take you on the town. Honey,
- 5:24Speaker 1: let me show you my city. And we're like, oh
- 5:26Speaker 1: my god, yes, honey, the bizarres, maybe museums, maybe like
- 5:31Speaker 1: historical stuff, like so many things, you know, like Michael's
- 5:34Speaker 1: first day. But his city, beer kan City is a
- 5:39Speaker 1: shisha lounge. That's where he's mayor so of course he
- 5:41Speaker 1: does take him to a sorry shesha lounge and we
- 5:47Speaker 1: get a lot of great information. So beer Khan at
- 5:50Speaker 1: this point either a senses that there's no threat in
- 5:56Speaker 1: this conversation and in their relationship and then becomes like
- 6:00Speaker 1: an open book, or of course the producers are leading
- 6:04Speaker 1: this all on. Basically Michael's like, here's the problem. I
- 6:09Speaker 1: got told some crazy things and that's why I'm here.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And then he's like, Laura, does he know what we
- 6:15Speaker 1: talked about? And Lord's like the dead, Yeah, we talk
- 6:18Speaker 1: about it, and so we get the same story, which,
- 6:20Speaker 1: of course beer Kan had three Shesha places, and then
- 6:24Speaker 1: Corona happened. It's always weird. It's like I forgot that
- 6:27Speaker 1: we call it coronavirus or corona almost to the point
- 6:30Speaker 1: where like, I understand that in the first this is
- 6:34Speaker 1: obviously like a little tingential, But here we are, in
- 6:37Speaker 1: the first couple of months of like the coronavirus COVID epidemic,
- 6:41Speaker 1: we called it coronavirus for sure, or the novel corona,
- 6:43Speaker 1: like the novel virus or something like. You just kept
- 6:46Speaker 1: hearing the verbiage over and over again, the novel virus,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and I feel like at one point we were like,
- 6:52Speaker 1: that's so pretentious. Can we just say COVID it's fucking
- 6:57Speaker 1: COVID or COVID nineteen. We don't even say nineteen anymore.
- 7:02Speaker 1: All you know now, it's just COVID all. It's all COVID,
- 7:04Speaker 1: COVID one, COVID two, COVID three anyway, So he gives
- 7:09Speaker 1: him the story he had all those places Corona hits,
- 7:13Speaker 1: he loses all those places. Then he can't find any
- 7:15Speaker 1: sort of jobs, and he sells all his stuff and
- 7:17Speaker 1: he's still have fifty thousand dollars debt, but it's all
- 7:20Speaker 1: from the shisha places and definitely not from gambling. Now
- 7:24Speaker 1: he just makes money from gambling, and we're supposed to
- 7:26Speaker 1: believe he just gets even if you remember early on
- 7:30Speaker 1: he was like, I'm gambling to like pay the debt.
- 7:33Speaker 1: But I think he said he started with fifty thousand
- 7:36Speaker 1: dollars in debt, so the gambling has not made a debt,
- 7:39Speaker 1: so I guess we're supposed to believe that he's making
- 7:42Speaker 1: just enough to live. Sometimes now Michael has more than
- 7:47Speaker 1: one cent and so he's like, you can't like make
- 7:49Speaker 1: a living gambling. Now I said this, of course you
- 7:52Speaker 1: sort of can. And that is like if you want
- 7:53Speaker 1: to like get your fiduciary and licenses and become like
- 7:56Speaker 1: a whole stockbroker and hope like or a wealth manager
- 7:58Speaker 1: or portfolio manager. I mean, in a sense, that's kind
- 8:01Speaker 1: of what that is. But of course different training and
- 8:04Speaker 1: different research. But you know, and It's interesting because beer
- 8:08Speaker 1: Khan is wildly confident in himself. It's like, I have
- 8:13Speaker 1: a whole system. Don't worry about me. I know what
- 8:16Speaker 1: I'm doing, I do it well. And it's like a
- 8:19Speaker 1: little bit like, okay, if that is the case, if
- 8:22Speaker 1: you were, don't get mad at me. But like you
- 8:25Speaker 1: already told us that you don't have a place to live,
- 8:28Speaker 1: you've been sleeping on people's couches. You haven't made a debt,
- 8:31Speaker 1: a dent in the fifty dollars. Sorry, you have not
- 8:34Speaker 1: made a dent in the fifty k debt. So what
- 8:39Speaker 1: exactly is your system? And how confident are you in it? Really?
- 8:43Speaker 1: And why are you so confident in it? And can
- 8:46Speaker 1: use some tweaking just to you know, I don't know,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you tell me, okay, So then Berkan's like, you know what,
- 8:53Speaker 1: thanks for asking me some questions, got some coming your way.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Why didn't you two fall in love with each other?
- 9:01Speaker 1: And it's weird because you know, Michael had made a
- 9:06Speaker 1: comment like two people that fall in love should be
- 9:08Speaker 1: best friends and the best friends and would know each
- 9:11Speaker 1: other because they hang out all the time, and so
- 9:12Speaker 1: they all, you know, best friends. If you hang out
- 9:16Speaker 1: all the time, You'll go to bed at the same
- 9:19Speaker 1: time and wake up at the same time, just like
- 9:22Speaker 1: Laura and I. We get up at four am and
- 9:24Speaker 1: we play pickleball and then we both run thirty miles
- 9:28Speaker 1: and then we get into a kayak and we kayak
- 9:30Speaker 1: forty miles and then we have a cup of coffee
- 9:33Speaker 1: and then I leave her beat because I do not
- 9:35Speaker 1: want to touch her. What So Yeah, after Michael says
- 9:40Speaker 1: this whole thing about being best friends and beer Coan's like, okay,
- 9:44Speaker 1: why an't you guys together, the editing goes like this,
- 9:47Speaker 1: nothing happens. She's like it's a weird question to ask,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and then they are not in the Sisha place anymore.
- 9:54Speaker 1: They just leave that place, and next scene is that
- 9:58Speaker 1: boy time are happening, and then Michael and beer Khan
- 10:01Speaker 1: are like playing pool and at this point beer Kan's like, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 10:05Speaker 1: remember that question I just asked you in the other
- 10:07Speaker 1: scene that didn't get answered. Producers, what a weird cut? Okay,
- 10:12Speaker 1: So then Michael has to be like, you don't have
- 10:14Speaker 1: to worry about me, and beer Khan's like, yeah, here's
- 10:16Speaker 1: the thing. I mean, if you want her, go get her,
- 10:21Speaker 1: and he's like, yeah, I don't. Oh, if I wanted her,
- 10:25Speaker 1: I would have had her. If I wanted her, she
- 10:27Speaker 1: wouldn't be here. I had my opportunity. Oh beer Khan,
- 10:31Speaker 1: Laura threw herself at me in a way that is undeniable.
- 10:36Speaker 1: We're like, what did she do? What did she do?
- 10:39Speaker 1: Did she just like have a zipper dress and then
- 10:42Speaker 1: just zipper the entire thing and then let it drop
- 10:46Speaker 1: to the floor with her like naked body and it
- 10:48Speaker 1: wiz there like a shining spotlight on her and she
- 10:52Speaker 1: was like take me, honey, take it. I'm yours. I'm
- 10:57Speaker 1: like what, I like want to know, Like, was there
- 11:00Speaker 1: a moment that they were playing pickleball and she like
- 11:03Speaker 1: raised his thigh accidentally and He's like, that's it undeniable?
- 11:08Speaker 1: Or yeah? Was she just like drunk one night? She
- 11:11Speaker 1: was like dig me, get it, dig it And he
- 11:13Speaker 1: just was like, no, I'm scared. It's really weird. And
- 11:19Speaker 1: I mean this in a fucked up way to be
- 11:21Speaker 1: like I could have had her, but I'm gonna make
- 11:24Speaker 1: your life a living hell, and I'm definitely gonna put
- 11:26Speaker 1: a lot of effort into her. When Michael says that
- 11:29Speaker 1: he could have had her, but he didn't want her.
- 11:31Speaker 1: He's also like not didn't want her, but he's like
- 11:32Speaker 1: this is how he says it. I could have had it.
- 11:35Speaker 1: She threw a pass at me. I told her that
- 11:38Speaker 1: I couldn't reciprocate. Why are you here? And like, how
- 11:42Speaker 1: can you spend so much time with someone who has
- 11:45Speaker 1: like made a pass at you and you're not into them?
- 11:50Speaker 1: Why are you there? Then? Is her like affection for you?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Like yeah? And is it feed your ego? Are you
- 11:57Speaker 1: lying to yourself and you do want to be with her?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Are you playing hard to get? Why would Laura want
- 12:03Speaker 1: to continue to spend time with someone that much if
- 12:06Speaker 1: she has feelings for him and she made it clear
- 12:09Speaker 1: and he wasn't into it. I mean I would just
- 12:11Speaker 1: be honest, like I couldn't if you're my friend, like
- 12:14Speaker 1: if we're hanging out and we have like common interests
- 12:17Speaker 1: and this has happened to me where like I've felt
- 12:20Speaker 1: like someone and I are like really jelling and we
- 12:22Speaker 1: hang out and this person's calling me and they want
- 12:24Speaker 1: to talk to me, they want to hang out with me,
- 12:25Speaker 1: like all that stuff, and then I'm like, okay, cool,
- 12:29Speaker 1: feels like you like me? Do you do you want
- 12:31Speaker 1: to like go out. Yeah like that. I've had a
- 12:34Speaker 1: time where like someone was like, no, I'm not into
- 12:37Speaker 1: you that way, and I sure as hell never spent
- 12:39Speaker 1: one fucking more more soul of a moment time talking
- 12:43Speaker 1: to that person. No why because here's the thing. I'm
- 12:47Speaker 1: not saying people can't be friends. It's like people can
- 12:50Speaker 1: be friends if like that line isn't crossed and like
- 12:52Speaker 1: no one likes the other one you know enough to
- 12:54Speaker 1: like make a move. But if like someone feels like
- 12:57Speaker 1: there's a chemistry and a vibe and they say something
- 13:01Speaker 1: about it and the person denies it, I mean, yeah,
- 13:05Speaker 1: I guess it's it maybe a stronger person to be like, Okay,
- 13:07Speaker 1: then let's go back to being friends. That's fine. You
- 13:09Speaker 1: don't want to you vibe with me this much like
- 13:13Speaker 1: your connection is this loose and this fun and like
- 13:17Speaker 1: this familiar, But you can't be with me because why
- 13:20Speaker 1: you I'm not a your type or you think that
- 13:22Speaker 1: you are gonna be with someone else. It's that what
- 13:25Speaker 1: is like wittier or you have a better banter or
- 13:28Speaker 1: better kem. Is that what you're like holding on for
- 13:32Speaker 1: or are you holding on for like a physical specimen
- 13:34Speaker 1: that's different from me, that you then hope will have
- 13:38Speaker 1: this connection that you're what I guess more attracted to.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Like now I do have like a rejection dysphoria for sure,
- 13:45Speaker 1: but I need you to tell me, like how does
- 13:48Speaker 1: that work? It's just I don't know. It's just like
- 13:49Speaker 1: it doesn't make sense to me. So at the same
- 13:51Speaker 1: time this does feel heavily produced. Emma also feels heavily produced. God,
- 13:58Speaker 1: I wish that I didn't say that, because I wish
- 14:01Speaker 1: that I could just like live in a world of
- 14:02Speaker 1: it not being so heavy handed. But it feels so contrived,
- 14:06Speaker 1: like the setups of things like yeah, the Laura Michael
- 14:10Speaker 1: set up with Beer Khan feels you know, yeah fake.
- 14:14Speaker 1: But the Emma thing, honey, let's get into it. So
- 14:17Speaker 1: we pick up on Emma. She's ten minutes to go
- 14:20Speaker 1: see Mohammed. She is driving through Casablanca, honey, and she
- 14:23Speaker 1: has a monologue where she's like, guess what, I still
- 14:26Speaker 1: have my old ring and I doesn't have it on me,
- 14:29Speaker 1: but also like have it on me literally like on
- 14:31Speaker 1: my finger. It just feels good and like, oh my god, girl,
- 14:34Speaker 1: did you have that? First of all, how expensive is
- 14:36Speaker 1: that ring? And did you get that ring? Like, looked
- 14:39Speaker 1: at did you buy that ring? She makes it seem
- 14:41Speaker 1: like she has to pay for all her men. Okay,
- 14:43Speaker 1: So then she goes to a cafe, honey, And at
- 14:45Speaker 1: the cafe there's a nice gentleman. He's like, do you
- 14:47Speaker 1: want someone to drink? And she's like, nope, no, I'm
- 14:49Speaker 1: gonna wait for my guy. And then she texts him
- 14:52Speaker 1: that she's there. She sends a picture of the table
- 14:54Speaker 1: she's at, and she sees that he's online and he
- 14:59Speaker 1: doesn't write that, so she calls him, you know, like
- 15:02Speaker 1: I'm assuming with WhatsApp. He doesn't respond. So then the
- 15:05Speaker 1: guy comes back and she's like, you know, I need
- 15:07Speaker 1: a cappuccino, and then Mohammed who I guess looking back,
- 15:12Speaker 1: it was a little shady that we didn't know what
- 15:14Speaker 1: his face looked like. Didn't seem like I think either.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I think Matt or Jake of Reality Gaze were like,
- 15:21Speaker 1: he probably would have signed off that release. We would
- 15:23Speaker 1: have seen that face if he ever made it on screen.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I was like, oh, yeah, I guess that's right. So anyway,
- 15:28Speaker 1: so sitting there, honey, and she's beautifully at this gorgeous cafe,
- 15:35Speaker 1: with like nice waiters and a Botega bad kind of
- 15:38Speaker 1: look at the weave, look at the gold hardware. It's why.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Suddenly she gets a text from Mohammed and it says,
- 15:45Speaker 1: leave me alone. I don't want to see you anymore.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I have a fiance and it has like an emoji,
- 15:53Speaker 1: and I want to talk about what the emoji is
- 15:56Speaker 1: because it took me a long time and I'm still
- 15:58Speaker 1: kind of being like, let's talk about this. She's pissed
- 16:01Speaker 1: as hell because she's like, you told me to come here,
- 16:05Speaker 1: and I think the emoji and I don't know for
- 16:09Speaker 1: one hundred percent sure. I try to blow it up.
- 16:12Speaker 1: It looks like the emoji has a ballooness to it,
- 16:15Speaker 1: which wouldn't make sense if it was a smiley face
- 16:19Speaker 1: with like one of the tears kind of either coming
- 16:21Speaker 1: out of the eye or crying and tears coming out
- 16:24Speaker 1: one of those. She's like, you invited me to this cafe.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Why are you not going to show up? So here's
- 16:30Speaker 1: two things. Yeah, why if it's real? Then he was
- 16:33Speaker 1: what fucking with her? Because what he knew there was
- 16:36Speaker 1: a camera crew and he just hates her that much
- 16:38Speaker 1: that he wanted to make her look bad like or
- 16:40Speaker 1: wanted to like shame her like in like a fucked
- 16:42Speaker 1: up kind of high school way or b. This is
- 16:46Speaker 1: set up by the producers because they don't even need him.
- 16:50Speaker 1: All they would need is the promise of some dude
- 16:53Speaker 1: they have to blur a face and they just have
- 16:55Speaker 1: to get a production assistant on WhatsApp to text her
- 16:59Speaker 1: at the same time. You know what I'm saying, I'm upset.
- 17:01Speaker 1: And the reason why I'm upset is because, Yeah, I
- 17:05Speaker 1: was tricked, I was sharped. It would have been so
- 17:08Speaker 1: fun and I get like we've had the trope of
- 17:11Speaker 1: like a second Hurrah. Like that's basically what happened to
- 17:14Speaker 1: Vanya right like in a in a different way, because
- 17:17Speaker 1: Vanya had met obviously Boso off you know online, went
- 17:22Speaker 1: met Bozo and then like that didn't work out, and
- 17:25Speaker 1: then a new dude there and that was the second
- 17:27Speaker 1: round of her being like in a relationship abroad. And
- 17:30Speaker 1: of course Emma Mohammed is you know, was supposed supposedly
- 17:35Speaker 1: the person she met before is I ed, So I
- 17:38Speaker 1: really would have enjoyed like a continuation and for us
- 17:41Speaker 1: to meet Mohammad or whatnot. And the fact that we
- 17:43Speaker 1: don't meet him, yet definitely makes me feel like it
- 17:45Speaker 1: was all fake, a fraud. I really feel that way.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I'm upset. You can't do that to me. I don't
- 17:53Speaker 1: deserve it. Okay, I'll tell you what I deserve. What
- 17:56Speaker 1: dogs Elise and Josh or as Elise is now call
- 18:00Speaker 1: him Joshua. Alise and Joshua. This dog honey is like
- 18:04Speaker 1: me looking at look at this dog honey. Alista and
- 18:07Speaker 1: Josh's whole segment, the whole actual episode starts with like
- 18:11Speaker 1: a bunch of dogs frolicking on a BESI and I'll
- 18:13Speaker 1: say frollicking a lot. They're wet, they're having fun, They're
- 18:16Speaker 1: like poodles. I don't know if there's like a dog walker,
- 18:18Speaker 1: if they're random Australian dogs, just MutS and a water honey.
- 18:21Speaker 1: But this dog staring into camera is exactly me staring
- 18:26Speaker 1: at the producers being like, how much longer do I
- 18:28Speaker 1: have to deal with this? I mean, I wonder, like
- 18:31Speaker 1: how many production teams they are right now on Sharp Productions,
- 18:36Speaker 1: And I wonder if there's like the A team and
- 18:39Speaker 1: the B team. I wonder if there are producers for
- 18:43Speaker 1: niney D Fiance that are known as being a little
- 18:46Speaker 1: more natural or allowing like natural storylines to happen. I
- 18:51Speaker 1: don't quite understand why they have to be so heavy handed.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I mean, I guess I do. It's for the drama
- 18:56Speaker 1: or whatever, and certainly they're not the only ones to
- 18:58Speaker 1: do so. But some some times I want to sometimes
- 19:01Speaker 1: I think, in the beginning, was it always like this,
- 19:05Speaker 1: or was it just newer and so I wasn't so savvy?
- 19:09Speaker 1: Or again, did they like blow their load, you know,
- 19:11Speaker 1: season two, and now we're like, you know, season eight,
- 19:14Speaker 1: and we have to like make the puppets do the dance.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not quite sure. You tell me so.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Lese is not doing well. Those dogs not doing great.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Elise also spiraling. The apartment's messy, and she hates it.
- 19:28Speaker 1: She hates that it's messy. She's like, it's a frat
- 19:29Speaker 1: house in here. You can imagine what it smells like.
- 19:31Speaker 1: There's stuff everywhere. There's not a clean towel to be had.
- 19:34Speaker 1: There's no more paper towels, you know, there's no toilet paper.
- 19:37Speaker 1: There's like, you know, gross hair, like pube hair, like
- 19:42Speaker 1: in the shower. You know, there's about maybe like two
- 19:47Speaker 1: tablespoons of milk left and a carton and she doesn't
- 19:50Speaker 1: even know if like they've been drinking at a hole,
- 19:52Speaker 1: you know, like the toilet seed is always up and
- 19:55Speaker 1: there's just pe everywhere. She hates it, but she he
- 20:00Speaker 1: wakes up and this is of course like the morning
- 20:03Speaker 1: after the whole nap debacle, and Josh Joshua is nowhere
- 20:07Speaker 1: to be found. He has just left her a text
- 20:10Speaker 1: like I'm out, I'll be back soon, and she's not happy.
- 20:14Speaker 1: She's like, I want to leave. This isn't great. She's
- 20:16Speaker 1: like texted him like where are you? He dishearted it
- 20:19Speaker 1: was he. She can tell he's being weird. She starts crying.
- 20:23Speaker 1: The producers are there, and then honey, he walks in
- 20:26Speaker 1: the door. He takes one look at them, tears, and
- 20:29Speaker 1: he walks right back out, walks right back out. Now,
- 20:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you this right there. I don't know
- 20:39Speaker 1: how I would get over it if I'm like and
- 20:42Speaker 1: I watched someone walk in see me, clock me, and
- 20:46Speaker 1: be like, oh no no. It's interesting because it's easy
- 20:49Speaker 1: to see, like from a third party. And I'm not
- 20:51Speaker 1: saying Elise is perfect and I'm not saying Josh is perfect,
- 20:54Speaker 1: but you could really tell he doesn't want to fucking
- 20:56Speaker 1: deal with her. This is really early on. If I
- 20:59Speaker 1: was em emotionally instead of crying and crying and someone's
- 21:02Speaker 1: first opportunity to show me they care about me, or like,
- 21:06Speaker 1: is even surprised that you know, I'm in an emotional state,
- 21:10Speaker 1: Like if that person doesn't give me any care, I
- 21:13Speaker 1: think it's a really bad sign. And he immediately his
- 21:17Speaker 1: first reaction is to get the fuck out, is to
- 21:20Speaker 1: run away. So anyway, he was like, whoa, what happened?
- 21:25Speaker 1: I can't do that accent. She's like, why did you
- 21:26Speaker 1: just walk away when you saw me crying? He's like, yeah,
- 21:29Speaker 1: just saw you crying, and I thought she needs some space. Also,
- 21:32Speaker 1: just I need some space. You know, you saw me
- 21:35Speaker 1: crying and you thought I don't get the fuck out
- 21:37Speaker 1: of here. You didn't think, oh my god, is my
- 21:42Speaker 1: loved one? Okay. It's just so telling that he knew
- 21:45Speaker 1: that the reason why she was crying wasn't important to him.
- 21:49Speaker 1: It wasn't important his like, his own well being, his
- 21:52Speaker 1: own comfort level is more important. And I think, yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I think it's a great it's a great thing to know.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Almost I'm like, I don't want to like pull the lease,
- 22:00Speaker 1: but like, is that something I should do? Should I
- 22:03Speaker 1: like try and fake cry early on in a situationship
- 22:06Speaker 1: or whatever, and just like see how they react. It
- 22:09Speaker 1: can't be a fake cry after a situation where they
- 22:12Speaker 1: think I'm mad at them because the nat thing happened.
- 22:16Speaker 1: It's like a I'd have to do a fake cry
- 22:18Speaker 1: and just see how they react to emotion. Anyway. I Yeah,
- 22:23Speaker 1: sometimes I feel like you do have to test people
- 22:27Speaker 1: early on. Okay, why do I say that. I'll say,
- 22:29Speaker 1: some people lead with like intention and openness and directness
- 22:35Speaker 1: and honesty and I and you can feel that when
- 22:38Speaker 1: it's happening. And I think that when you feel that,
- 22:40Speaker 1: there's like a certain amount of like ease and like
- 22:42Speaker 1: comfort and like oh great. And I also think that
- 22:45Speaker 1: there's oftentimes a murkiness and like someone being like not
- 22:50Speaker 1: clear or not their actions are not like aligning with
- 22:53Speaker 1: their words. And that type of person will waste your
- 22:57Speaker 1: time unless you test them, test them. Don't let people
- 23:00Speaker 1: waste your time. Honestly, I'm not talking about like one week.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I'm talking like, you know, if someone has like shown
- 23:06Speaker 1: a pattern of being a little unclear, find a way
- 23:10Speaker 1: to see if this person is being real with you,
- 23:13Speaker 1: because yeah, I think that people just want to buy
- 23:17Speaker 1: time without showing their cards, and then not showing their
- 23:21Speaker 1: cards like in romantic relationships is really shitty. Like sure,
- 23:25Speaker 1: if you're beer gone, you don't want to show your cards,
- 23:26Speaker 1: especially if you're gambling. But the point of being in
- 23:29Speaker 1: a relationship I think is emotional vulnerability and openness and
- 23:32Speaker 1: to like connect, and I think the way you do
- 23:34Speaker 1: that is like showing your cards, is like being truthful
- 23:37Speaker 1: about what you want and like being able to communicate
- 23:40Speaker 1: and also like having respect for you know, both parties involved. Yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 1: so to me, Josh doesn't respect her at all. Now
- 23:48Speaker 1: here's the thing. I can say that. Now it's hard
- 23:51Speaker 1: though when you're in it, and she I think feels it.
- 23:54Speaker 1: But here's the thing. Let's move on and then I'll
- 23:56Speaker 1: get to her parent conversation. I think it's really interesting.
- 23:58Speaker 1: So he, you know, was gone. She's like are you
- 24:02Speaker 1: at NATS? And he was like really upset by that.
- 24:05Speaker 1: He paused when he answered, do you guys notice that?
- 24:07Speaker 1: She's like, were you at NATS? And he was like no.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Then he's like, no, my job called and they want
- 24:12Speaker 1: me to do a boat thing, but I won't do
- 24:13Speaker 1: the boat thing, So I said no, and I got
- 24:15Speaker 1: to drop in the keys. We're like, oh, I thought
- 24:17Speaker 1: we were fired from your job or you're on probation only, Like,
- 24:20Speaker 1: if you're fired and you are on probation from your
- 24:22Speaker 1: job either one. I'm assuming that if your job calls
- 24:25Speaker 1: you and you want work again, you would have to
- 24:27Speaker 1: like do what they're saying. I mean, I don't know,
- 24:29Speaker 1: how are you on probation in the jobs? Like do
- 24:31Speaker 1: this thing? You're like, nah, are you still with that job?
- 24:33Speaker 1: Doesn't make any sense. Also, would a job want you
- 24:37Speaker 1: to drive a boat to a new place if you're
- 24:41Speaker 1: the type of person that's gonna fucking willy nearly take
- 24:44Speaker 1: a boat enjoy ride around like a twelve year old.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I mean, I'm what, I don't believe it. So then
- 24:49Speaker 1: they go surfing and that part happens, and then they
- 24:53Speaker 1: go get sandwiches, and I agree with Alice that I
- 24:57Speaker 1: do hate fish. That's fine. She's like, what chicken schnitzel.
- 24:59Speaker 1: I'm like, girl, come on. So they get two chicken
- 25:01Speaker 1: sandwiches and we find out that Australian people don't refer
- 25:06Speaker 1: to ketchup as ketchup? How do they call it? Tomato.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Just can they call it tomato, which is interesting because
- 25:11Speaker 1: there's also tomatoes, So like, honest, like, this is where
- 25:14Speaker 1: it's weird to me. I'm like, that chicken sandwich could
- 25:17Speaker 1: have a slice of tomato. And then if you also
- 25:20Speaker 1: wanted to have a ketchup? Are you, like, Hey, can
- 25:22Speaker 1: you give me that sandwich with tomato tomato? I want
- 25:25Speaker 1: a sandwich with tomato and tomato? And would that person know? Okay,
- 25:29Speaker 1: one slice of tomato and a side of ketchup, honey,
- 25:32Speaker 1: tomato tomato, ketchup, ketchup. I'm just kidding. Okay, we get
- 25:36Speaker 1: a piece of information. Josh has a son and he
- 25:41Speaker 1: was real busy taking care of that son. Hu. And
- 25:45Speaker 1: the son has a mom, and the mom's gotten remarried.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Uh huh and the mom's and like so the son
- 25:49Speaker 1: and the mom and then have has a brand new family,
- 25:51Speaker 1: uh huh uh huh. And that's who's resually probably taking
- 25:53Speaker 1: care of them. And they decide that because you know,
- 25:56Speaker 1: Joss isn't shit, that they have no need for him,
- 25:59Speaker 1: and they're gonna move. Aw, They're gonna move at least
- 26:01Speaker 1: an hour plane ride because it's better for the family,
- 26:05Speaker 1: which Josh is not a part of and Josh is like, yeah,
- 26:07Speaker 1: when that happened and made me, you know, spiral and
- 26:10Speaker 1: you know it's been really hard. And this is something
- 26:13Speaker 1: that Elise has to really hear because the least then
- 26:15Speaker 1: is like, oh, don't worry about that. When I was
- 26:17Speaker 1: also upset, I spiraled and we're like, no, bitch. What
- 26:19Speaker 1: he's saying is he is in a downward trajectory and
- 26:23Speaker 1: he's telling you that he doesn't have his life together,
- 26:26Speaker 1: that he's drinking and partying all the time because he's
- 26:28Speaker 1: like massively depressed. And then he's like, but also, I'm
- 26:31Speaker 1: working on myself, so you don't have to worry about it,
- 26:32Speaker 1: and it's like, nope, you're not working on yourself. You
- 26:35Speaker 1: don't have a place to live, you don't have a job.
- 26:36Speaker 1: You have a Chris and not even a me, not
- 26:40Speaker 1: even a Chris Farah. Someone fun that it's a podcast
- 26:43Speaker 1: that you should give five stars to and talks about
- 26:45Speaker 1: dumb television shows and did a two parts of The
- 26:49Speaker 1: Secret Lives, a Mormon wives drama. It was heavily triggered
- 26:52Speaker 1: by that because of her own past issues, but like,
- 26:55Speaker 1: that's not even what he has. He has a Chris,
- 26:59Speaker 1: that Chris just works out with him, has tattoos. And
- 27:04Speaker 1: it's interesting because this moment happens where he, you know,
- 27:10Speaker 1: gets the chicken with her. They go back to the
- 27:12Speaker 1: place she's still in hell because it's so dirty. He's like, Okay, bye,
- 27:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna go hang out with my best friend, Chris.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Ha ha. And he's like, Chris. She keeps fucking talking
- 27:21Speaker 1: about how broke I am. I hate it, Chris. She
- 27:24Speaker 1: keeps saying that I'm not stable and broke and living
- 27:28Speaker 1: off of my friends, and it's really emasculating. Now, two
- 27:32Speaker 1: things can be true. It is emasculating because you know,
- 27:37Speaker 1: you don't got your masculine shit together, if that's what
- 27:39Speaker 1: you're saying. But the second thing is is that Elise
- 27:42Speaker 1: definitely has a fixation on your financial situation or lack thereof.
- 27:47Speaker 1: And Alise has no problem like repeatedly pretty much asking you,
- 27:54Speaker 1: and I mean this, why are you poor? Like that's
- 27:57Speaker 1: kind of like every part of her argument, like why
- 28:00Speaker 1: would you live with Nat? Why would you let Nat
- 28:02Speaker 1: like have financial like you know, help for you, Like
- 28:05Speaker 1: why are you living with Chris now? Like why? Like
- 28:09Speaker 1: she just keeps asking him that and I feel like
- 28:12Speaker 1: what she again is she's just like, why are you
- 28:14Speaker 1: so poor? Why are you poor? Why don't you have
- 28:18Speaker 1: a dad that's going to help you? Tell me why
- 28:21Speaker 1: you're poor? Tell me why you choose to act like
- 28:24Speaker 1: a poor person that has no money. Why are you
- 28:27Speaker 1: shaming yourself by allowing women to pay for you? Why
- 28:32Speaker 1: do you have like a shitty job, and why are
- 28:34Speaker 1: you bad at your shitty job enough to have you know,
- 28:38Speaker 1: a probation on your shitty Like why are you not
- 28:41Speaker 1: good as a man with money? Like that's kind of
- 28:45Speaker 1: like what her vibe is. And I don't want to
- 28:47Speaker 1: say man with money, but it's like because he says
- 28:49Speaker 1: emasculating and kind of because she's like you can tell
- 28:53Speaker 1: that they're a little traditional. Okay, So it's that's the
- 28:57Speaker 1: lol's part of me is that she literally is like
- 29:00Speaker 1: she makes making him feel so bad, and he like
- 29:03Speaker 1: tells Chris, He's like, yeah, she's you know, like you
- 29:05Speaker 1: don't know, deal with her making me feel bad? And
- 29:07Speaker 1: it's like, well do other women do this too? Like
- 29:10Speaker 1: I just want to know, Like you said you had
- 29:11Speaker 1: a girlfriend before her, this was like your trauma before
- 29:14Speaker 1: the whole kid thing was that you had a girlfriend
- 29:16Speaker 1: that wanted you to make more money and that was really,
- 29:19Speaker 1: you know, upsetting towards you. And I think that Joshua
- 29:22Speaker 1: knows that his lifestyle is like not exciting for a
- 29:29Speaker 1: serious woman or a serious partner. Sure to like buff
- 29:35Speaker 1: Australian guys with like aging faces could be somewhat fun now,
- 29:40Speaker 1: but I mean there seems to be like, you know,
- 29:42Speaker 1: an absolute almost like Laura style fantasy land for Josh. Right, Like,
- 29:48Speaker 1: what does he think is going to happen? Does josh
- 29:51Speaker 1: think that someone like Elise can be happy the way
- 29:55Speaker 1: that she looks with whatever he can provide, which is
- 29:59Speaker 1: two chickens, which is on the beach. He's upset, right,
- 30:02Speaker 1: He's like, but they're gonna start talking about She's like,
- 30:04Speaker 1: I don't want to be used. You know, I had
- 30:05Speaker 1: this situation, she tells us whole the situation. Two things.
- 30:08Speaker 1: She had a situation where she got financially abused by
- 30:11Speaker 1: like some con man, right, and her parents had to
- 30:13Speaker 1: like help her out. And that's why she's also like,
- 30:16Speaker 1: I don't trust, you know, men to not use me.
- 30:18Speaker 1: And she like accuses him of maybe using her and
- 30:20Speaker 1: for money, and he's like, I haven't made you pay
- 30:22Speaker 1: for one thing? And she's like, oh, really, I guess
- 30:25Speaker 1: I didn't pay for the goldfish crackers. Great. Also, why
- 30:27Speaker 1: would I pay for you running me to some bar
- 30:30Speaker 1: for some stupid race, And like, what do you think
- 30:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna pay for anyway? God bless. So it's like,
- 30:35Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I looked at at something and I he
- 30:39Speaker 1: is upset about that, and she, of course then gives
- 30:42Speaker 1: us another piece of information, which is that her past
- 30:45Speaker 1: isn't just this one con man. We've known that she
- 30:49Speaker 1: has been engaged a bunch of times. She's really excited
- 30:52Speaker 1: about that. We start to see pictures. She's like the
- 30:54Speaker 1: first guy that I was into, and we see her
- 30:56Speaker 1: like a picture from her past, like, oh girl, there's
- 30:58Speaker 1: our girl. Oh my god, Alise, honey, Elise. Alise has
- 31:02Speaker 1: always had great hair. She's also always loved to tan Alise.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Of course, Yeah, I definitely got a nose job and
- 31:07Speaker 1: definitely got like that botox made her like you know, eyebrows,
- 31:11Speaker 1: like you know, higher godless, she got a lot done.
- 31:16Speaker 1: She tells us a really sad story, like she fell
- 31:18Speaker 1: in love with this dude. She moves to Florida. They
- 31:20Speaker 1: get engaged and he passes away, and she says it's
- 31:24Speaker 1: from issues she had no idea about, which sounds like drugs, right,
- 31:29Speaker 1: sounds like a hidden drug problem. Or I guess it
- 31:32Speaker 1: could be like someone unliving themselves because of depression. Either way,
- 31:37Speaker 1: obviously really traffic and really horrible. And she also is like,
- 31:40Speaker 1: that's another reason why I don't trust men. So as
- 31:43Speaker 1: he's working with Chris, she goes and gets juice at
- 31:46Speaker 1: a place called Calie Pressed Juice, which I was really
- 31:48Speaker 1: excited about, and she calls her parents, Woody and Beth,
- 31:51Speaker 1: and she's They're like, well, how's it going, And she's like, oh, well, honey,
- 31:55Speaker 1: I caught him in lies. Now at this moment, we're like, oh,
- 32:00Speaker 1: oh gosh, this is what's gonna happen. Like her parents's
- 32:01Speaker 1: gonna be like, no, Alise, you can't trust him, come back.
- 32:04Speaker 1: But that's not what happens. Just caught him in a lie.
- 32:07Speaker 1: He said he was looking at his parents. He's living
- 32:09Speaker 1: with Nat. They're like, you know what, girl, we know
- 32:11Speaker 1: you and you love to pick out the flaws. What
- 32:14Speaker 1: are some good things about him? And she's like wait
- 32:16Speaker 1: what She's like, yeah, Alise, okay, what are some positive
- 32:20Speaker 1: things about your relationship that you don't just like focus
- 32:23Speaker 1: on all the bad things. And she's like, oh, well,
- 32:27Speaker 1: I can tell he's obsessed with me. He made his
- 32:30Speaker 1: wallpaper me without me asking, which lol. Now here's the thing.
- 32:33Speaker 1: It is flattering for someone to make your wallpaper you
- 32:36Speaker 1: without without asking. I think that he truly is like
- 32:41Speaker 1: understandably attracted to her physically and like a wallpaper of
- 32:46Speaker 1: like one of her Instagram pictures, you know, surely is
- 32:50Speaker 1: hot and he can just like be out in a
- 32:52Speaker 1: boot and then like you know, someone sees a lock screen,
- 32:54Speaker 1: they're like, who's that? He can be like mine? Now,
- 32:57Speaker 1: I don't know because of everything I said earlier about
- 33:00Speaker 1: how he reacted to her emotional state, if he, of
- 33:03Speaker 1: course is actually into her. In fact, if I was
- 33:05Speaker 1: to throw something out there, I would say, from what
- 33:08Speaker 1: I'm seeing, like only physically, he's not asked her about
- 33:12Speaker 1: like her past relationships, like this story of like this
- 33:18Speaker 1: really tragic story about her ex that passed away. Think
- 33:23Speaker 1: about if that story was told to us through her
- 33:27Speaker 1: telling him in a scene where she would have opened up,
- 33:30Speaker 1: maybe because he would have asked like something she would
- 33:33Speaker 1: have opened up, he would have listened and sat with
- 33:36Speaker 1: her shared space as she told this story, and there
- 33:40Speaker 1: would be like a different level of the relationship, but
- 33:43Speaker 1: we have never seen that. She tells the story and
- 33:46Speaker 1: a confessional as like a reason, why does he even
- 33:49Speaker 1: know it? Anyway? Then you know then her parents really
- 33:53Speaker 1: her dad says something very insightful when it comes to
- 33:58Speaker 1: like being with someone in the first couple of weeks,
- 34:02Speaker 1: why don't you try discovering more and judging less. Discover more,
- 34:07Speaker 1: judge less. And I feel like there's something I've heard before,
- 34:10Speaker 1: like to not be judgmental, Like can you replace that
- 34:13Speaker 1: with an honest emotion of like curiosity, And I think
- 34:18Speaker 1: it's really important. I am someone who judges a lot,
- 34:22Speaker 1: like and to try and where you can give yourself
- 34:27Speaker 1: space for different types of thinking, because a if you're
- 34:30Speaker 1: a negative person, or you worry a lot, or you
- 34:32Speaker 1: judge a lot, or like you know, you're insecure about
- 34:35Speaker 1: you know, relationships, you can get almost in a habit
- 34:38Speaker 1: loop of like always thinking the bad thing for sure
- 34:41Speaker 1: and always judging and always sort of like being like
- 34:44Speaker 1: is as good as it's bad? Do they like me
- 34:45Speaker 1: because of this? Do you like me because of that?
- 34:47Speaker 1: How is their behavior in relationship to other behaviors. Blah
- 34:50Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah. And it's hard, right because we're
- 34:53Speaker 1: all looking for red flags. And I just got done
- 34:54Speaker 1: saying that. Like, you know, if someone walked in on
- 34:57Speaker 1: me crying and walked out, I'd be like, get the
- 34:59Speaker 1: fuck out of here, you know, And so that's judgmental,
- 35:01Speaker 1: And so yeah, what do you be, Like, Chris, why
- 35:04Speaker 1: don't you try discovering? I would have to discover why
- 35:09Speaker 1: this person ran away from my tears, just like trying
- 35:13Speaker 1: to adjust the way you see a situation from a
- 35:16Speaker 1: negative to a positive or a negative to a neutral. Yeah,
- 35:20Speaker 1: it's more neutral, right, Like discovering could be good, could
- 35:23Speaker 1: be bad, mostly good though it's the because there's a
- 35:27Speaker 1: when you I guess the word discover almost is like
- 35:30Speaker 1: an exciting possibility of like what's here, what's new? But
- 35:36Speaker 1: the good thing about discovering something is it feels like
- 35:39Speaker 1: you have a propensity to find something and then there's
- 35:43Speaker 1: no pressure to have to like keep it or make
- 35:46Speaker 1: it meaningful in your life. To discover something and then
- 35:49Speaker 1: also is easily discarded and let it go, you know,
- 35:53Speaker 1: because a you trust you'll discover something more or B
- 35:56Speaker 1: because you feel so safe in yourself you know your
- 35:58Speaker 1: discovery actually is not going to help you, it's going
- 36:01Speaker 1: to hinder you. Yeah, as I said, I think it's
- 36:03Speaker 1: if you can be mindful and aware of changing like
- 36:08Speaker 1: the way that you view certain situations, it's great. And
- 36:11Speaker 1: the reason why is because, yes, as you get older,
- 36:13Speaker 1: you just sort of do the same things over and
- 36:15Speaker 1: over again. And I think that like growth can happen
- 36:18Speaker 1: obviously when you approach things differently, and it's really hard
- 36:22Speaker 1: to change, like your perception you're thinking in the way
- 36:25Speaker 1: that you do things, the way you see things. I
- 36:27Speaker 1: think there's like a really great challenge and also like
- 36:31Speaker 1: a it's okay, it's a good challenge to be able
- 36:34Speaker 1: to keep yourself positive. But also there's like an ultimate
- 36:37Speaker 1: end goal I sometimes have. And that's why I maybe
- 36:40Speaker 1: like do the mindfulness stuff and the breath and the
- 36:42Speaker 1: stuff I'm talking about now at the end of the day,
- 36:45Speaker 1: which is like to control my mind. It's not gonna
- 36:48Speaker 1: ever happen, for sure. I would love to control my mind.
- 36:51Speaker 1: What that means is like my emotional state, my nervous state,
- 36:55Speaker 1: my mind. I'd love to be like a Buddhist or
- 36:58Speaker 1: someone like a you know, like a mindfulness teacher that
- 37:00Speaker 1: can just really hone in on separating emotional my emotions
- 37:05Speaker 1: from my feeling or sorry, my feelings from my thoughts,
- 37:09Speaker 1: and trusting that things pass quite easily and quieting a
- 37:14Speaker 1: part of your mind if you don't want to hear it.
- 37:17Speaker 1: That would be great. Anyway, That's why anyway, that's why
- 37:20Speaker 1: mindfulness is very important. And I think that like if
- 37:23Speaker 1: you can exert control over your mind in every way,
- 37:26Speaker 1: or if you can practice that, if you can practice
- 37:29Speaker 1: the discipline of training your thoughts and or making your
- 37:32Speaker 1: thoughts neutral and positive if they are negative, like, it's
- 37:35Speaker 1: only going to serve you and your circumstances discover more,
- 37:39Speaker 1: judge less or I guess like be curious, you know,
- 37:42Speaker 1: start with curiosity. Let's move on to rickontristion piece. Someone
- 37:47Speaker 1: I don't want to have to be curious about they
- 37:49Speaker 1: waking up in bunk beds. Honey, it's hot. Now we
- 37:52Speaker 1: know that he has to take a shower, and he's
- 37:54Speaker 1: gonna make a big to do of it. He's gonna
- 37:57Speaker 1: go in the shower. He like wants to not wear
- 38:01Speaker 1: clothes there, Like he just wants to have a towel, like,
- 38:04Speaker 1: so he runs out naked and then he gets in
- 38:07Speaker 1: the shower and then he uses little cups of water
- 38:10Speaker 1: to like cool them off. This is what's interesting. How
- 38:13Speaker 1: cold is the water? Because it's hot there, like, so
- 38:16Speaker 1: how cold is the water? He makes it seem like
- 38:18Speaker 1: the water is like tap freezing from you know, like
- 38:23Speaker 1: pipes in Chicago. He's screaming. She's like, he hates the water.
- 38:28Speaker 1: He's a little baby in the cold water. He's like
- 38:31Speaker 1: a you know, like, oh my god. Sometimes when it's hard,
- 38:35Speaker 1: because Trisha sometimes to me seems like she's over the
- 38:38Speaker 1: fuck him. And then sometimes she's like I really love him,
- 38:41Speaker 1: and I'm like no, why. How So when he is
- 38:45Speaker 1: done showering, her dad is like, let's talk, and she's
- 38:49Speaker 1: like wait a second, one second, hey, babe, we're gonna
- 38:52Speaker 1: eat some cassava leaves, your favorite those like bitter cassava
- 38:55Speaker 1: leaves you love so much? Can you help these ladies
- 38:58Speaker 1: pick them? And these are the same ladies. I had
- 39:02Speaker 1: to watch him come out in his towel, right, and
- 39:05Speaker 1: he uses his hands to I guess, devein or devein
- 39:11Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. The leaf and they're like
- 39:14Speaker 1: his pinky looks like a big thumb, and we're like babes.
- 39:17Speaker 1: His whole demeanor looks like a thumb. He is a thumb.
- 39:21Speaker 1: I have never seen a more thumblike person. Then he's
- 39:25Speaker 1: he's thumb. He's the thumbiest. Come on. I was so
- 39:29Speaker 1: happy when they said that, A because I like body
- 39:32Speaker 1: shaming men. And also yeah, just because of that, do
- 39:36Speaker 1: I like body shaming men? No? But why will I
- 39:38Speaker 1: do it? I will body shame a man who my
- 39:43Speaker 1: soul and my heart has let me know has body
- 39:46Speaker 1: shamed women. I won't do I won't punch down to
- 39:49Speaker 1: someone who I think hasn't done that. But Rick has,
- 39:52Speaker 1: I feel like has judged women about their looks before.
- 39:55Speaker 1: And so I mean my heart of heart is telling
- 39:57Speaker 1: me that, so I feel no remorse. Also, he does
- 39:59Speaker 1: the like a thumb. So basically, Dad is like, here's
- 40:04Speaker 1: a thing that asshole is indecisive about having kids with you.
- 40:08Speaker 1: If you know one thing in this world, it's that
- 40:11Speaker 1: you are a goddamn queen, and if you want kids,
- 40:15Speaker 1: you get kids, and don't fuck around with some asshole
- 40:18Speaker 1: who just wants to have fun with you, who's not
- 40:20Speaker 1: serious with you. And who certainly does not care about
- 40:23Speaker 1: how you want to live in the future. She's like, yeah,
- 40:28Speaker 1: I can't even imagine my life without kids, this is
- 40:30Speaker 1: what she kind of says. But I love Rick, and
- 40:34Speaker 1: you know, I have to like talk him into having kids.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I have to like convince him. The dad is like
- 40:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, what no, And she's like, well, I don't
- 40:42Speaker 1: know to do because if he doesn't want to have kids, Like,
- 40:44Speaker 1: are you gonna make me choose between him and you?
- 40:46Speaker 1: And he's like, yes, I'm sorry, I'm gonna make you
- 40:49Speaker 1: choose between yourself and him. It's not your choosing between
- 40:53Speaker 1: like stupid ass Rick and your family. At the end
- 40:56Speaker 1: of the day, if he's not going to give you
- 40:59Speaker 1: a basic thing that you want and how you like
- 41:02Speaker 1: want to live in your future, then you're choosing between
- 41:06Speaker 1: Rick and yourself. Isn't that so sucky? Like she's she
- 41:10Speaker 1: thinks she loves him. I mean, I can't imagine that
- 41:12Speaker 1: she you know, that's real. I'm not saying that she
- 41:15Speaker 1: doesn't love him, but I can't imagine that what she's
- 41:17Speaker 1: feeling is actually love. But she will give up every
- 41:22Speaker 1: part of herself if she, of course decide to be
- 41:25Speaker 1: with him, right, we know that she would like move
- 41:27Speaker 1: to America. He's not gonna have kids, he's too old.
- 41:29Speaker 1: He has the kids, he's just gonna be like take
- 41:30Speaker 1: care of them instead, he's just gonna like make her
- 41:33Speaker 1: push play on his stupid hair lives. And you know,
- 41:35Speaker 1: and like if she makes him feel inadequate or I'm sorry,
- 41:41Speaker 1: if he feels inadequate at any moment, he's going to
- 41:44Speaker 1: take it out on her. And that could easily be
- 41:46Speaker 1: cheating on her. And guess what he's gonna feel inadequate.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Why have you seen Trish? First of all, he's jealous
- 41:53Speaker 1: of Trish, like you know there like get Trish to
- 41:56Speaker 1: America and watch them people look at her, and then
- 42:00Speaker 1: tell me how Rick's going to treat Trish. Gorgeous ash ass, right,
- 42:04Speaker 1: gorgeous ass young ass Trish in America. Well, no, he's
- 42:10Speaker 1: gonna treat her like he like she owes him. And
- 42:13Speaker 1: then if he feels bad about himself what she will
- 42:16Speaker 1: at any time, it's gonna be even worse for her.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Got it. There's a moment where it almost feels like
- 42:21Speaker 1: her dad knows it, and it's like he you know,
- 42:25Speaker 1: he just can't say it by word or name yet
- 42:28Speaker 1: because it would seem crazy, like this man isn't shit.
- 42:30Speaker 1: I don't know. So basically, she's like in a very
- 42:33Speaker 1: hard place, and we feel for her. It's hard though,
- 42:36Speaker 1: because I don't understand why she loves him. We don't
- 42:40Speaker 1: understand why she's like he's a really good man because
- 42:43Speaker 1: he's nice to you and like says he loves you.
- 42:45Speaker 1: I guess, yeah, he just is nice and says that
- 42:47Speaker 1: he loves her sometimes. Did she ever forget the bathing suit?
- 42:50Speaker 1: Remember how she wanted a new bathing suit and he
- 42:53Speaker 1: yelled at her about that for asking. I don't know.
- 42:57Speaker 1: So we'll see what happens with them. I really, you know,
- 43:00Speaker 1: want her to just leave him immediately. It's it has
- 43:03Speaker 1: to happen in your god. Okay, So let's move on, Honey,
- 43:10Speaker 1: Stig and Aviva. So they're snorkeling and hanging in a hammock. Honey,
- 43:15Speaker 1: she's wearing an orange bikini with like a light blue
- 43:20Speaker 1: border and like a gene textured bucket hat. The gene
- 43:26Speaker 1: textured bucket hat is two thousand and two. It is
- 43:31Speaker 1: I mean, it's Hailey Duff, It's Hillary Duff. It's she
- 43:34Speaker 1: looks like Hillary Duff. She looks like Hilly Duf and
- 43:36Speaker 1: Hillary Duff for sure kind of it's she It's like,
- 43:39Speaker 1: so y two K, I'm dead over it. I love it,
- 43:43Speaker 1: I hate it, I hate it, I love it. Would
- 43:45Speaker 1: you wear this? Would you wear that hat? Here's the thing.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Of course I would not wear that hat, but I
- 43:50Speaker 1: would look crazy in that hat. She is the perfect
- 43:52Speaker 1: age where she's I mean, she looks like she's plucked
- 43:54Speaker 1: from like my life twenty years ago. That's so crazy,
- 43:58Speaker 1: so spring, her aunt has sprung the nest. She's left
- 44:03Speaker 1: bleaze and like, guess what. None of what she did
- 44:07Speaker 1: was important because they're still together and they you know,
- 44:10Speaker 1: they really didn't get to like prove anything otherwise. Like
- 44:13Speaker 1: she literally Aliva's just like yeah, I trust him, So
- 44:18Speaker 1: thanks anyway for all of that wasted time. Okay, so
- 44:21Speaker 1: you're like, okay, they're in the hammock and he's just like,
- 44:24Speaker 1: you know what, I love you. She's like, oh, thanks,
- 44:26Speaker 1: I love you. She's she gives a reaction that's just
- 44:30Speaker 1: kind of like oh thanks being are they stone all
- 44:33Speaker 1: the time? I don't know, Like definitely her reaction isn't like,
- 44:38Speaker 1: oh my god, the person I love is saying I
- 44:40Speaker 1: love you for the first time. She's like, I'm great,
- 44:43Speaker 1: I love you. He's like, it's so great to hear
- 44:45Speaker 1: it back. You're like, oh was that great? Was that
- 44:47Speaker 1: a great moment in your life? So then they go
- 44:50Speaker 1: to have like a Mayan cooking class. Oh my god,
- 44:54Speaker 1: I love this so much. Oh goodness, gracious, how I
- 44:58Speaker 1: would love to get really good rate. I'm making fresh
- 45:02Speaker 1: massa corn tortillas, and it's like, you have to like
- 45:06Speaker 1: use a certain kind of like massa. It's like I
- 45:09Speaker 1: looked it up. Oh no, it's like a massa with
- 45:12Speaker 1: a different word in it. Well again, I'll tell you
- 45:15Speaker 1: what it is, because you know massa. Bob's Redmill mix
- 45:19Speaker 1: makes a massa, but there's massa herrena massenda. If you
- 45:24Speaker 1: want to actually do any of this, yeah, massenda is
- 45:27Speaker 1: really really good too. There's like, and then do you
- 45:30Speaker 1: nix nix tumalies. So here's the thing. If you've made
- 45:34Speaker 1: corn tortillas, you know this. Obviously no gluten. And it
- 45:38Speaker 1: was interesting that she said this. Yet the Mayans didn't
- 45:40Speaker 1: have wheat, and it's because, like you know, wheat was
- 45:42Speaker 1: like a whole thing. We had a process. God bless.
- 45:44Speaker 1: So you take the corn, the corn, you like, grind
- 45:49Speaker 1: it down, and then you are supposed to put like
- 45:51Speaker 1: an acid lime juice or something, and then it becomes
- 45:55Speaker 1: with amount of grinding like a yeah, like a Doughey
- 46:00Speaker 1: kind of pasty dough, if you will. And then yeah,
- 46:03Speaker 1: from there we can fry it. We put we pound
- 46:05Speaker 1: it flat, and we fry it. And if you care
- 46:08Speaker 1: about this kind of stuff, it's important that you get
- 46:10Speaker 1: either organic or heirloom corn. It's why what I was
- 46:13Speaker 1: saying before, like the names of the kind of like
- 46:17Speaker 1: massa subcategories that give you high quality corn tortillas. You know,
- 46:24Speaker 1: I care about such things. So besides that, though, they
- 46:28Speaker 1: have this thing, and this is the funniest part of
- 46:32Speaker 1: the entire episode for me, fifty five minutes of this
- 46:35Speaker 1: recap let me tell you. So they're like doing the
- 46:38Speaker 1: corn and it's kind of like a thing where you know,
- 46:41Speaker 1: like when someone's going to show you how to playpool,
- 46:43Speaker 1: where they come up behind you and then like you know,
- 46:45Speaker 1: they're doing it that way. It's all sexual, like, you know,
- 46:49Speaker 1: So she's grinding the corn and he's like, you know,
- 46:52Speaker 1: grinding behind her, and you know what I mean, And
- 46:57Speaker 1: they have this perfect shot of this lady honey looking
- 47:01Speaker 1: on and I mean, first of all, a you can
- 47:04Speaker 1: see in front of her there's like chicken being smoked,
- 47:06Speaker 1: and you're like, oh my god, it's chicken over like
- 47:09Speaker 1: a fire. You can imagine how good it is. Be
- 47:12Speaker 1: her face's judgy, it's not it's she discovered what she discovered,
- 47:17Speaker 1: and she's judging it. A She's like, that's not even
- 47:20Speaker 1: make a corn tortilla. I don't understand. You both need
- 47:23Speaker 1: to push the rock like that. She's not that weak.
- 47:26Speaker 1: He's like, let me help you push the rocks. Thanks me.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Then they eat and you know, I'm happy for them,
- 47:32Speaker 1: and then they have a conversation about her period. Now
- 47:37Speaker 1: here's the thing. The entire streets of Nane Fiance have
- 47:41Speaker 1: been clocking her confessionals and doing a thing. We're like,
- 47:43Speaker 1: she looks different to her confessionals, and she does, you know,
- 47:45Speaker 1: look a little different, And so here we are. It's like,
- 47:49Speaker 1: have you had your period? And her answer at first
- 47:52Speaker 1: was like I was supposed to do, but it hasn't
- 47:54Speaker 1: happened yet. But then she says, well, I'm like irregular
- 47:58Speaker 1: all the time, so I don't really know. But also
- 48:00Speaker 1: it could be happening right now. And then she says
- 48:02Speaker 1: the thing that we all love, which I feel like
- 48:04Speaker 1: is the producers like made her say this so that
- 48:08Speaker 1: it would be like the Bridge where she's like, I
- 48:10Speaker 1: fought you literally just got done saying how like you
- 48:13Speaker 1: only wanted to use condoms blah blah blah blah, and
- 48:16Speaker 1: now you're like, whatever, okay if I'm pregnant or whatever,
- 48:21Speaker 1: and he's like, yeah, yeah, somehow we're now supposed to
- 48:25Speaker 1: believe that he's in love with her, that he's clocked
- 48:27Speaker 1: that she hasn't had her period, and that he's like,
- 48:29Speaker 1: you know what, let's hope it's a yes, let's get
- 48:32Speaker 1: that test and let's just let's do it. And she
- 48:35Speaker 1: is really thrilled about that. I mean it really, I guess,
- 48:38Speaker 1: And technically it is like a little bit of a
- 48:39Speaker 1: fairy tale for her. It's what she wanted, you know,
- 48:42Speaker 1: Like she's been wanting to have like, you know, full
- 48:44Speaker 1: on raw dog sex and then she wants to be
- 48:46Speaker 1: with him and she wants to be married, you know,
- 48:48Speaker 1: and she's getting what she wants. Yes, he put the
- 48:51Speaker 1: little hiccup in of maybe like using condoms, but he
- 48:54Speaker 1: surely now is like, let's shot up the club and yeah,
- 48:57Speaker 1: he wants to make up deby with her, and it
- 48:59Speaker 1: probably already did. He's like, yeah, I want you to
- 49:02Speaker 1: take a test here before you go back. And I'm like,
- 49:03Speaker 1: why is she going back? Why is she going back
- 49:07Speaker 1: to what a very lucrative job. It seems that you
- 49:10Speaker 1: guys are in love. I don't know why. Why it
- 49:12Speaker 1: has to be that you moved to America. Why don't
- 49:14Speaker 1: you guys just stay here and live your life. He's
- 49:17Speaker 1: famous here anyway. So our last couple, my loves, can
- 49:22Speaker 1: you believe it? Are Lisa and Daniel? Just boring old
- 49:26Speaker 1: Lisa and Daniel? Not much happening there, Okay, So obviously
- 49:30Speaker 1: we are hot on the heels of her having confessed
- 49:33Speaker 1: all of her sins A, the marriages, B the lesbianism.
- 49:37Speaker 1: How much he's been practiced practicing it a lot, honey,
- 49:41Speaker 1: She's been practicing slight of hand and lesbianism for a
- 49:45Speaker 1: long hand, long time. I mean, I'm mad at her
- 49:50Speaker 1: for this reason. I would have loved for her to
- 49:54Speaker 1: really really sit in when she was like, we should
- 49:58Speaker 1: love what we want to love. You know what you
- 50:00Speaker 1: think I'm evil and I haven't done anything when I've
- 50:03Speaker 1: been buying all your clothes. Fuck you. That was her
- 50:05Speaker 1: last episode. Unfortunately, she came back around to being like
- 50:09Speaker 1: obsessed with him, and he also went from being like
- 50:12Speaker 1: you're evil to the being like, but I still want
- 50:14Speaker 1: to see you. This is gonna work because my uncle
- 50:16Speaker 1: could forgive you, which makes no goddamn sense. So now
- 50:20Speaker 1: they weren't in a van to go visit the uncle,
- 50:23Speaker 1: and she's like, will you speak first? And he's like, yeah,
- 50:27Speaker 1: you don't get that. You're in Nigeria, Like you're not
- 50:30Speaker 1: supposed to speak at all. You're supposed to not be
- 50:33Speaker 1: a lesbian, be have hair, sea, never ever talk and
- 50:39Speaker 1: is kneil wherever you're suposed to be knel until I
- 50:40Speaker 1: tell you to move? And also do you know how
- 50:42Speaker 1: to do that head wrap? That's what you're supposed to
- 50:44Speaker 1: be doing? She yeah, it's like it's it is telling
- 50:49Speaker 1: how far off she is from like the knowledge of
- 50:52Speaker 1: the workings of like that kind of culture. Will you
- 50:56Speaker 1: speak first? Yeah, girl, they don't care about you like
- 50:59Speaker 1: they you know, like you don't have bearing here, you
- 51:02Speaker 1: barely need to speak. So then the uncle comes up,
- 51:05Speaker 1: Honey in full blown purple and a purple ensemble. Modestus
- 51:11Speaker 1: is his name, and basically Daniel has to be like hey, uncle, Hey.
- 51:15Speaker 1: So remember when I said it was two marriages, Well,
- 51:18Speaker 1: let's go ahead and add three. And remember when I
- 51:21Speaker 1: said that she did hook up that one time with
- 51:24Speaker 1: a girl, but it was like a lug situation, like
- 51:26Speaker 1: lesbian until graduation. That's such like a millennial term. I
- 51:29Speaker 1: don't think they even use it anymore. Yeah, that's so,
- 51:32Speaker 1: oh my god, they don't. Yeah, that's an old term.
- 51:36Speaker 1: It's a generational term. Kids are not lugs until graduation.
- 51:41Speaker 1: But that was like a whole thing in the nineties,
- 51:44Speaker 1: in the two thousands. It's a homophobic thing. But basically
- 51:47Speaker 1: it's like saying that girls in college will get drunk,
- 51:51Speaker 1: you know, fucked up and drink and like you know,
- 51:53Speaker 1: kiss other girls or whatever like obviously hooked up with
- 51:56Speaker 1: girls or whatever, and that it was only until graduation
- 51:59Speaker 1: and then they you know, like graduate and they're like
- 52:01Speaker 1: back to dick. But like, of course, we're beautifully in
- 52:04Speaker 1: a generation of people like really living their authentic selves.
- 52:07Speaker 1: And so I didn't realize how archaic and extinct that
- 52:10Speaker 1: term was until just now. That's so funny good anyway.
- 52:14Speaker 1: But that's I still think it's a funny joke. And
- 52:16Speaker 1: so yeah, they're like Daniel's like, yeah, I lied. I
- 52:19Speaker 1: did say that she was a lug, right. But here's
- 52:21Speaker 1: the thing. She didn't just stop at the graduation, honey.
- 52:24Speaker 1: She kept practicing it for twenty years. She was a
- 52:27Speaker 1: lesbian until retirement. She's allure. Oh god, it's good. Yeah,
- 52:32Speaker 1: she's one of those allures. Honey. She retired and then
- 52:35Speaker 1: she's like, maybe we'll see what happens now, and she
- 52:37Speaker 1: found me he he, Okay, so now here is where
- 52:43Speaker 1: she again does not know her place, and I'm not listen.
- 52:46Speaker 1: I'm a feminist. I don't want to say shea to
- 52:47Speaker 1: know her place. But again, she's just like in Nigeria,
- 52:49Speaker 1: these two men, she's lied her puff fucking balls off,
- 52:53Speaker 1: like she didn't like every every day and every weird
- 52:57Speaker 1: thing that's happened is like, no, you place, you stay there,
- 53:01Speaker 1: let men talk like it's just so much of that,
- 53:03Speaker 1: you know, and she like hates it so much and
- 53:05Speaker 1: she is anti yet like she is obviously like a
- 53:08Speaker 1: progressive person. She has progressive beliefs about at least love
- 53:12Speaker 1: or whatever. I don't know what her fiscal beliefs are.
- 53:14Speaker 1: I don't want to fucking know, but you know, anyway,
- 53:17Speaker 1: So she keeps trying to interrupt everyone to talk, and
- 53:21Speaker 1: they're like, bitch, shut up. Can I just try to
- 53:24Speaker 1: explain myself? No? I yeah, I love I love that
- 53:28Speaker 1: it's so hard for her not to talk. It's just
- 53:31Speaker 1: she Yeah, she's so American. The idea of like being
- 53:35Speaker 1: told when to speak is like so foreign to her,
- 53:38Speaker 1: as it should be. But yeah, she that's how much
- 53:41Speaker 1: she has no idea of the culture her like beloved
- 53:45Speaker 1: is from I keep I've okay, let's just talk about this.
- 53:49Speaker 1: I think the whole thing is a scam. Obviously not
- 53:52Speaker 1: a hot take, but I love the I don't love
- 53:56Speaker 1: the idea. I love the idea of how horrible it is.
- 53:58Speaker 1: I think it's a interesting idea that Daniel created all
- 54:04Speaker 1: of these barriers and like kind of challenges that she
- 54:10Speaker 1: would have to go through in order to make it
- 54:14Speaker 1: seem like more special, that she did those things and
- 54:18Speaker 1: got Daniel in the end, and therefore should be lucky
- 54:21Speaker 1: and therefore shouldn't think about the fact that maybe he's
- 54:25Speaker 1: using her. Maybe this is a con because because at
- 54:28Speaker 1: first she had to get the uncle to say yes,
- 54:30Speaker 1: and he had to go to the elders, and then
- 54:32Speaker 1: she had to go meet the king that like had
- 54:34Speaker 1: a fake looking lion on him. Like all of this
- 54:37Speaker 1: seems so fake that I'm like, is this his uncle?
- 54:40Speaker 1: Because we know that guy wasn't a king with the
- 54:43Speaker 1: simba stuffed animal on him, with the jeweled blue eyes. Right,
- 54:50Speaker 1: that's a costume. And I'm not even saying yeah, it's
- 54:54Speaker 1: a costume and it's not a king. I feel like
- 54:57Speaker 1: the uncle. I feel like that king. I feel like
- 54:59Speaker 1: the everything is like Daniel's way of being like, I
- 55:03Speaker 1: need her to make sure this is real. I need
- 55:05Speaker 1: to make sure that she's preoccupied with the opinions of
- 55:10Speaker 1: the elders and the ancestors. It's almost like this way
- 55:15Speaker 1: of nagging her, of being like, you aren't good enough
- 55:19Speaker 1: unless all of these things happen. It's like a like
- 55:22Speaker 1: a special quest to distract her from the fact that, like,
- 55:26Speaker 1: this is all a con. He just wants money, because
- 55:28Speaker 1: if it's like it might make someone feel special to
- 55:31Speaker 1: have gone through such trials and tribulations to get the
- 55:35Speaker 1: one they love. It's almost like playing hard to get,
- 55:37Speaker 1: but instead of like him being like no, no, no.
- 55:39Speaker 1: It's like, well, ask my uncle, and the uncle's like no, no, no,
- 55:44Speaker 1: We'll ask the ancestors, and the answers like no, Like
- 55:48Speaker 1: ask the king. The King's like no, ask the elders.
- 55:51Speaker 1: The elders, no, ask my dead mom. No. You know,
- 55:53Speaker 1: it's like she keeps having to get other people's approval
- 55:57Speaker 1: and like therefore her preoccupation about that isn't so much
- 56:01Speaker 1: like the things she had put together before that he
- 56:04Speaker 1: had talked to other Americans that he was scamming, that
- 56:07Speaker 1: he certainly is living a better life with her money.
- 56:11Speaker 1: Now that you know that he is enforcing her to
- 56:14Speaker 1: not live the way she wants to live and making
- 56:16Speaker 1: her feel bad when she should have the power in
- 56:19Speaker 1: the situation because she has the money or makes the goal,
- 56:23Speaker 1: makes the rules, you know. But like she's not being
- 56:25Speaker 1: able to sit in any of that because she constantly
- 56:27Speaker 1: has to prove herself to the different entities of his
- 56:31Speaker 1: igboo man life. You know, it's kind of brilliant if
- 56:35Speaker 1: you want to fuck someone over. Yeah, it like creates
- 56:39Speaker 1: like scarcity almost or just like and he creates the
- 56:42Speaker 1: idea that something is super special you have to work
- 56:46Speaker 1: for and work towards and it might not happen, and
- 56:49Speaker 1: sofa does. It seems that's that much more special, and
- 56:52Speaker 1: you certainly wouldn't want to fuck it up in any
- 56:54Speaker 1: sort of way. It's brilliant. God. I would love to
- 56:57Speaker 1: just be like, are you the one? How do you?
- 57:00Speaker 1: I don't know. First off, you gotta go talk to
- 57:02Speaker 1: my cousin, you know, and I actually do have cousins
- 57:04Speaker 1: in the Monique and they had to go talk to Monique,
- 57:06Speaker 1: and Monie's like, let me consult the Catholic gods. You know.
- 57:10Speaker 1: Monique like goes to like one of the you know,
- 57:11Speaker 1: Malchid Byzantine chapels that we had to grow up, and
- 57:14Speaker 1: she like, praise to Saint Charble. These are all real,
- 57:16Speaker 1: you know, God bless and then what you know, like
- 57:19Speaker 1: Saint Charble has to come through and then be like
- 57:21Speaker 1: yes or no. Then they have to go to my dad,
- 57:23Speaker 1: you know. Then they'd go to like the priests I had,
- 57:25Speaker 1: priests had to go to like you know, if I, yeah,
- 57:28Speaker 1: if I wanted to fuss over some guy and just
- 57:32Speaker 1: made it seem like I was the ultimate prize, specifically
- 57:38Speaker 1: in a divine way, and that he had to prove
- 57:43Speaker 1: his worthiness to me and the gods at every step.
- 57:46Speaker 1: It would be a great thing. Now I don't you
- 57:48Speaker 1: can tell why I'm single, A I haven't done that,
- 57:50Speaker 1: but be even the thought that I would like to
- 57:52Speaker 1: do it, you know, God bless. Okay, the uncle isn't
- 57:56Speaker 1: cool with her. It isn't like the uncle's like, oh
- 57:59Speaker 1: you have the with the girl. You know, like that happens,
- 58:02Speaker 1: you know, like the uncle's real piss. He's like, you
- 58:04Speaker 1: crocodile tears. You keep crying fake tears, and you know
- 58:08Speaker 1: she's not crying fake those are It looks real. I
- 58:11Speaker 1: mean I'm seeing water come out. She has a full
- 58:13Speaker 1: bone like panic attack, she's like, And it's so interesting
- 58:17Speaker 1: because yeah, it's you can tell that she has a
- 58:21Speaker 1: she has obviously issues and there's no need for her
- 58:26Speaker 1: to have such a life or death situation with Daniel.
- 58:30Speaker 1: He holds no power over her. They just met in
- 58:32Speaker 1: real life. So she also had just shown us a
- 58:36Speaker 1: part of her soul where she was like fuck you.
- 58:38Speaker 1: So to go from I'm not evil, I did this
- 58:42Speaker 1: for you and if you don't see it, fine, fuck
- 58:44Speaker 1: you to then being like over the possibility of not
- 58:47Speaker 1: being with him in front of his uncle. It's yeah,
- 58:49Speaker 1: it's like, well, it's a hard watch. I mean also
- 58:54Speaker 1: like in an easy reality show watch. She is to
- 59:00Speaker 1: me somehow very authentically having her experience on this show.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Like for some reason, to me, it very much feels
- 59:07Speaker 1: like she is authentically in this and everything we're saying
- 59:11Speaker 1: to her seems real. I'm not saying everything is real
- 59:14Speaker 1: because I think that Daniel like sometimes I feel like
- 59:17Speaker 1: wants to look at camera and wink. You know what
- 59:19Speaker 1: I'm saying. You know that show have you guys been watching? Well,
- 59:22Speaker 1: there's like Jury Duty and stuff like that. They have
- 59:24Speaker 1: a new season out. It's like an improv show. I
- 59:26Speaker 1: think it's on Amazon Prime. It's basically like, well, it's
- 59:29Speaker 1: kind of like there's like, okay, it's kind of who's
- 59:31Speaker 1: that Jim Carrey movie? Oh no, okay, Truman's World. It's
- 59:36Speaker 1: kind of like Truman's World and kind of like Wendy
- 59:38Speaker 1: City Heat, where as one person in a whole production
- 59:43Speaker 1: isn't aware of the whole production right, and it's very
- 59:47Speaker 1: funny like the television show is. But Lisa in this
- 59:52Speaker 1: situation seems like the person in a production that does
- 59:57Speaker 1: not realize everything is fake. Daniel does, and definitely his
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: uncle does, and definitely the King with the lion head does,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: and like all of Matt Sharp's production team obviously knows.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: It's like it seems like Lisa is like naive. She
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: really does seem in it, But at the same time,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: no one else truly feels like we are taking advantage
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: of someone who has like mental issues. And it's interesting
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: because we're hot on the heels of like the whole
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Taylor Franky Paul situation, and
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: she allegedly or I'm not a professional, but it seems
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: like she has mental issues or personality issues, one of
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: the two. And I didn't understand, like, you know, the
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: extent until recently or whatever. And it's gonna be a
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: heart We can't watch her now, Like I don't think
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: she's gonna be on the show, Like I can't imagine
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: she's going to continue on the show unless there's some
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: weird pr you know, come around that she does, like
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: either by going to rehab or you know, I'm not
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: quite sure what her situation is truly, but we wouldn't
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: be able to watch her again. And I think that
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: watching Lisa feels a little cringey because it does feel
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: like watching someone who is not quite aware like we
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: all are, so I think, like that's why I think
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: I like held my hat on that moment last episode
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: where she was like fuck you fucking cause I kind
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: of was like if this was her like ultimate, like
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: fuck you, burn everything down and like get back her life,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: go back to America, tell faith that she is gonna
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: love herself and fuck that person, like I would love it.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: I wouldn't know what you would do for the next
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: like four episodes unless she's back in America, you know,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: like truly dating, living it up, or if he was,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: or if she's got another person. But it's a hard
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: watch to watch someone like hate themselves and go back
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: to like someone who isn't into them. It's also be
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: hard to watch when that person's a female, because I am.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: But also see, yeah, it does seem like Lisa might
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: have like some other things happening, which orre I'm like,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: are we watching someone being taken advantage of and more
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: so than just being conned by a man? Yes? Also
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: what being used as like entertainment by a production team? Maybe?
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: And am I culpable? Sure? I can't quite remedy all
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: that for you right now, but I want you to
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: be aware that I'm aware of it and we're all
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: doing our best. There's parts of this show where I'm like,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: let's get back to like couples that feel safe within themselves. No,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: that's not it. Like, well, okay, I liked Greta and
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Matthew from last season and a lot of people were like, oh,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: they're so boring or whatever, but I liked it, like
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: it seems like it was real, like really real, and
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: it also seemed smaller than like some of the other
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: craziness we had we had, but like it wasn't less
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: interesting to me, So I mean, yeah, we can lean
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: into that. Please, all right, my loves That is actually
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: the end of the episode, but we are going to
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: do all of the things that we usually do. A
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I usually tell you at this point, thank you, thank
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: you for listening to me, thank you for being here,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: and thank you for spending like an hour and fifteen
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: minutes listening to my stupid ass voice. However, if you
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: want to see more of me, or if you ever
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: want to like follow me on social media or see
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: fun things I create, or just like what I'm doing
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: in my day stories or I mean my TikTok where
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: I literally do minute recaps of pop culture stories as
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: well as different ninety day memes and stuff you can.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I'm at Chris Elfara, like I said on TikTok, I
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: am also on Instagram. I have a Facebook page Chris Fara.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: I have a Facebook group Vanity Fara. I have a
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: substack It's Chris Farra. I have a Patreon It's Chris Farah.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: Just getting ha ha Okay, so all of that exists.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Let's breathe. You know, why control our mind? I want
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: to say this, The goal is to control our mind.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: But at the same time, it isn't like you're going
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: to do it once and it's going to be done
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: and you're not going to ever get it right for
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: the rest of your life. But it's just the process.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: And then continue cuation of the process, because as you
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: continue to train your mind, you continue to have a
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: grasp of control of your mind. And if you don't,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: then your mind is just a monkey mind doing where
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: the fuck it wants all the time. So through the
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: act of trying, you do does that make sense? Through
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the act of trying to control your mind, you do
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: it's just that time goes on and minds think. So
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: don't be perfect about it. You don't have to remain
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: in a perfect present state for long. It might not be,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: but if you do it once, you won Isn't that great? Okay? Again?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Plant your feet on the floor, or if you're sitting,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: feel something. It can be with your butt on the seat,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: of course, it can be your hand on the seat.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Feel a sensory thing right now, so that you if
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: you know you're in the present moment in space and time,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: and then allow your mind to forget anything you're considering,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: like an embarrassing thing that happened in the past, or
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: what you're going to eat tomorrow, or if you need
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: to go to the supermarket, or how you're going to
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: plan a drive, or if you're going to talk to
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: someone about something. But instead, right now you're with me.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Thank you, use my voice or your breath to give
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: us both an opportunity to control our minds. So blow
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: everything out and just if you can be here now
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: with all of us two breasts briefing out more, how nice,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you're spending some time with me. It's
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: important that you take care of yourself it's important that
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: you can do that, so you can, of course take
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: care of others. We're all connected in this world, and
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: taking care of you means that you can show someone
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: how to take better care of themselves as well as
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: if that person can't take care of themselves, you step in,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: how lovely, and then because you gave that person some strength,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: maybe when you don't have any, they'll give it back
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: to you. It's such a beautiful gift. So take care
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: of yourselves, take care of yourselves, and take care of
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: someone else, stand up for what you believe and make art.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: And I'll talk to you later and I wish you
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: the best, all right, Bye,
