- Big Country: Welcome into the Attitude Problems Podcast. This is episode eighteen. Going into week four of the NFL season. let's get right into it. talk about the week three recap, you know, react to some bullshit that happened over the week. react to our picks. You got anything to say before we get into all that though? PV: no, just ready for another podcast and ready for another week of football. Big Country: Sure, sure, sure, sure. so yeah, let's get straight into it. So the Packers lose at home for the first time in fourteen years to start their home season, I guess you could say, against the Falcons. They pissed down their leg, but Bijan run all over them and maybe we'll cry. That was cool. both PV: Yeah, that was hard to watch. Big Country: we both had the minus five and a half a win. PV: It was really hard to watch. I mean, the Packers look fucking awful in that game. There's really no other way to say it. Big Country: new unfortunately PV: Yeah. Big Country: didn't look good all year and packers signed three offensive linemen this week that doesn't tell you how bad it is I don't know PV: Yeah, it goes it's definitely yeah. It definitely goes to show how bad it's been. Big Country: I mean it's I mean I can't even like get mad at like truthfully I can't get mad at before right now because like I feel like his offensive schemes have worked with better players Like when have we ever not been able to run the ball? PV: Yeah, the run game is really not helping. It doesn't take any pressure on Jordan Love's shoulders with trying to throw the football and it's none none of the running backs have looked productive. All of them have looked atrocious, and obviously that doesn't help with the O line being as awful as it is. but you need to have some sort of run game in order to take that pressure off Jordan Love's shoulders and let him sling that football. Big Country: Yeah, I mean Yeah. Hey Matthew Golden had his first hundred yard game as a Packer. he had a nice grab for a touchdown too. You know, ball was kind of thrown behind him and he made a nice snag. So that was cool to see. I felt like Green Bay's gonna have two thousand yard receivers and then they're just gonna be complete booty cheeks. So well. On to next season already, it feels like so. so the Bills take down the Chargers. you kinda had the Chargers keeping it closer, and they did for the most part of the game until, you know, they charge her. As a as usual. those were kinda slow at the gate. couple, you know, turnovers early, but they you know found a way, came back and sealed it. PV: Yeah, hit right at the spreading exact difference of eight points. they definitely made it a very competitive. I had a feeling the Chargers would just kind of wake up a little bit more this game. But like you said, the mistakes that the Chargers always make was still there this year, or still there this season, and so obviously that ended up costing them in this one, and they just ended up losing by eight, unfortunately. But a solid game, honestly, I would say definitely a big improvement from prior weeks. Big Country: Yeah. I mean they're dropping to 0 and three. Chargers. At what point do we give up? Do we sell? You know, because it's not getting any easier for them. They go and face Seattle next week. They're going through quite a rough patch right now, it feels like so. Yeah. PV: Yeah, absolutely. Big Country: Browns keep fucking us, dude. Panthers PV: Yeah. Big Country: lose to a Deshaun Watson game winning drive. I never thought I'd say those words for the season. I know you didn't think that either. Deshaun is proving us wrong. He's proving us to be a good fantasy quarterback option as well. And that's kind of freaking pissed PV: Yeah. Big Country: me off because I didn't pick him up last week when I should have played Cam Ward because I think he I thought he was going to have a breakout year. God knows. PV: Yeah, I mean, yeah, said it last week. I told Hunter to pick him up in fantasy 'cause he just runs the ball. I he had eleven rush attempts in this game. Obviously the game winning drive ended up with twenty points. He's been really consistent. He's making a lot less mistakes. He's only thrown that first pick in the first week. and and obviously a couple fumbles in that game, but hasn't turned the ball over much since. has been a lot safer with the football and somehow they squeaked out a win against the Panthers here. with that Crazy game winning drive. yeah, I mean, he's definitely been shocking us this year. He's playing a lot better than anyone anticipated. Big Country: certainly. Yeah. And for the Panthers, I mean, they're now one and two. Said I wanna say I want to say they're tied for the division lead. That's how bad the NC South is. PV: Yeah. Big Country: but I mean I don't know what to really think of it because, you know, they give up a shit ton of punts week week one. They shit on the Falcons without a quarterback. And then they go and lose to a Browns. And the Browns honestly feel like they're competing a little bit. Maybe week one was just, you know knocking off some rust for team, but looking better and they'll be playing tomorrow night against the Sealers. So kind of a big game for each squad two and one. PV: Yeah, definitely. Big Country: so the Lions I don't know who they face, but PV: The Jets. Big Country: They played the Jets at home. I believe they covered two of the six and a half, right? I want to say was a seven point game. PV: They did not cover actually. I think that it was an eight point game. Let me see. Jets Lions. Big Country: Well that would be in the cover. PV: Twenty four thirty one. wait, sorry, I thought that said what is Big Country: six and a half. PV: that? it's six and a half. yeah, yeah. So th thought you were saying that the Jets covered. No, no, no, yeah, yeah, they did cover. Big Country: And blame AI for that then. Blame AI. yeah, Lions take care of business at home. Bijan, not Bijan. Jameer had a crazy game. And another two touchdown performances too's annoying to fucking face. In fantasy for one, PV: Mm-hmm. Big Country: if you're an owner. I thought I faced him this week, but I can only imagine. Lions they get to tune one to start the season. PV: Yeah, the Lions definitely I don't know, they still look slow to me. something just doesn't feel right about their team. They should be winning a lot of these games by a lot, at least in the f in the past, feels like they would be. Jamison Williams isn't as heavily involved anymore. Feels like they really do rely a lot on Jameer and Monra, so we'll see how long we'll see how long they can stay relying on them. I don't think it'll get them too far. Like we've mentioned before, I think unfortunately their windows pass for the Super Bowl. Big Country: Yeah, I'm not unfortunate about that. They belong in the shitter. But PV: Ha ha. Big Country: anyways, So the Colts upset the Texans, correct? At home? LADAS. PV: Yes, I believe so. Big Country: Yeah, Texans start 0 3 again for the second year in row. Colts get a must need must needed win and as home dogs they get the get it done and a kind of a gritty win, I believe. So props to them. we were kinda we were completely indifferent in our picks last week on that one, so can notcha notcha win. PV: Yeah, a big part of it was I was hoping that Nico Collins was gonna be coming back, didn't end up coming back, did play a big difference in that offense. Obviously, they really were not pretty as productive as they wish they could have been. David Montgomery didn't even end up scoring their touchdown. It was Woody Marks. Dalton Schultz only had three catches for thirty yards. So yeah, you know, the Texans without Nico Collins don't look quite as sharp. They really do need that second wide receiver to look a lot better. so yeah, Colts take a very important division matchup in this one. Big Country: Definitely. And Chiefs at home. No. On the road, right? I want to say on the road. Yeah, I want to say they're on the road in Miami. PV: You may I think it was on the road. Big Country: do not cover the ten half point spread. I want say they won by ten, correct? What's the score? PV: No yeah, they did. They won by fourteen and they won by fourteen, twenty four to ten. Big Country: twenty four seven, my apologies. Dolphins were keeping it tight though in the first half. And you know, I was a little surprising. Devon Chan though is going on season in the IR with a torn ACL, unfortunate for fantasy owners, as myself and or good buddy the native. but you know, just big blow to that team that already didn't have enough offensive weapons to sustain with even with Devontachan. And now going to Ollie Gordon in essence probably PV: Jalen, right? Big Country: the jail. PV: Yeah, Ollie Gordon and Jalen Wright. Jalen Wright was just out last game, but yeah. Big Country: Jalen Wright. Yeah. I mean it's just only gonna get tougher and tougher. and they're looking like, you know, top three picking. PV: Yeah, definitely. I mean, they they really don't have much going for them. the one wide receiver that was being productive for them early in the year, Caleb Douglas has still been dealing with his injury. So that kind of halts his kind of halts his progression as a rookie. You hope that he comes back soon so they can get back on the field and produce the yardage that he was getting in the week one. other than that, yeah, there's really not much to say about the Dolphins. It's gonna just be a year of progress progressing those young guys that they have. Big Country: And moving on to Titans. I mean how many more how much slack can we give Cam Wood to knock off the offseason roughs? 'Cause he's look looking terrible. The offense is looking terrible. Let him James come in and well come in, I believe that it was a net life, correct? PV: Yeah, they really didn't do shit, honestly. They I mean it was three fe four field goals for the Giants that got the win done. But the Titans Big Country: Thank you. PV: only end up mustering seven points. And there were a lot of throws that time that Cam Ward missed them. You know, we've been talking all year about drops, but there were a lot of missed throws by Cam Ward. And yeah, it was wet. it wasn't it was a pretty murky game. It wasn't the best conditions, but man, y you you you just you really don't like to see some of the some of the bad play we've seen from the Titans in general. And especially that one play that's been going viral where he kind of just got lazy and just stopped moving in the back of the pocket. I mean Big Country: What what the fuck are we doing? PV: Yeah, exactly. You don't just sit back there because then the defense knows that you're not gonna like try to break off a run or anything. You don't bring that type of pressure, you don't get that relief from the you don't get those DBs to drop off the receivers a little bit just by, you know, inching forward and threatening to run. So it's just bad QB play and bad body language by on his part. Big Country: It's not gonna do anyone good, not gonna do his receivers good if he you know doesn't look like he gives a shit on the field. you know, as someone that took the Titans over and wins, not looking great. and I mean I only think Jameis will look more and more comfortable in that giant system the more time he plays. but the fact that this team won with PV: They did get J J McCarthy. Big Country: J Make J J. McCarthy. That's another story, man. I mean, I get why they're adding quarterbacks because, you know, they need it for depth, of course. PV: Depth. Yeah. Big Country: And you know, just maybe potential after J Must like four picks, you know, one game. You know, you know, you might you might see J. J. McCarthy in one of these games. But, the fact that this team won with four fingles is just an embarrassment to the Titans, in my opinion. I mean PV: Yeah. Yeah, it's really embarrassing. You need to be able to muster more than seven points on the football field, especially when you've had you you have all your starters. It's not like you have injured players all over the field. You didn't lose your starting wide receiver, you didn't lose your starting running back. You have i all your starters, you gotta be able to do something with it. Big Country: Certainly, certainly. You know, we kind of saw an Unk last week pop off with Vontae Adams. This is the week of Unks, bro. Like, PV: Yep. Big Country: it was ridiculous. Rogers throws three touchdowns, almost three hundred yards against the Bengals. And so what we thought was a good Bengals defense and Rogers torches them. Like, I don't understand the NFL these past few weeks, man. I'm happy for Raj. The one time I bet against him, of course he shits on me. But like PV: Yeah. Big Country: it's I mean I but if you're the Bengals, I mean They added some costly turnovers in that game that cost them the game. So but PV: Yeah. Big Country: props to those Steelers. They kept the turnover margin. Jalen Warren looked great as well. PV: He looks phenomenal this year. Just overall in general. He hasn't had less than seventy all purpose yards in a game yet. Big Country: Yeah, without Rico Dattle, you know, c clogging up some of those you know, touches too. And opened the door for him and he looked great. He would have had a touchdown if, you know, the accuracy field wasn't so shit either. I don't know why they let Hick play them. PV: Yeah. Yeah, you fucking slipped and fell. Big Country: But but if you didn't PV: But yeah, I mean, this was a weird one. the Bengals, I felt like with their defense playing the way they were, and Aaron Rodgers' offense looking how it was, it shouldn't have been such a high scoring game, but Aaron Rodgers came out and threw to his not big receivers to start the game. I was what's Goronowitz and Roman Wilson scored the first touchdowns. and that's just, you know, the when you when you you get a receiver as open as they were, that's just great play Big Country: my god. PV: design and great play calling and I'm sure that Brayan Rodgers was doing his maneuvering back there in the pocket as well, reading the defense. And so that that I think played a big part. I think he just locked in, started not using his superstars and just using who he can to get open. Big Country: Yeah. And he still targeted DK five times, th thirty one yards to the touch. I still think he's kind a by low candidate to fantasy two. He's gonna get he's gonna get targets. PV: Yeah, I actually do agree. Yeah, he's gonna get all his targets. He's the biggest receiver there. and you know, Aaron Rodgers likes his big receivers, especially for touchdowns, so yeah, by a low, honestly. Big Country: Yeah. And a lot the other thing that you were saying last week, you know, throw towards Darnell Washington a little more. He did. He had that PV: Yeah, the that big ass room. Big Country: huge fifty five fifty plus yard play, I believe, PV: man. Big Country: that set him up for I believe a score. I mean this PV: Yeah, they did. Yeah, I mean, yeah, they just need to get that guy the Big Country: He says. PV: rock. I don't know how he does it, but he just makes shit happen. He just gets down the field, he'll throw players, he'll run down the field fast, he'll find space. Just get him the rock, man. Big Country: Yeah. Another case of like you know, like you were saying, he was throwing to like no names. Of course he doesn't throw the one no name receiver I put down on the touchdown parlor in Jeremy Bernard. Of course not. Why would he? But great PV: Yeah. Big Country: range win for Raj since he starts two and one. That division's getting a little interesting, I gotta say. Three teams up all four teams are two and one, I believe. Kind of insane. PV: Yeah, and that was a really big division win for the Steelers, especially. I mean the Bengals were probably the toughest team to beat in that division at the moment. So t getting that first division win is gigantic against them. Big Country: hundred percent. Another unk next game. PV: Another unknown. Big Country: Marcus Mariota bro. Dueling it out and gets the dub against the Seahawks. JSN has a great game. like I'm just kidding I mean, do we it's getting to the point where JSN's just having a great game every week. So we're exciting it now. And it's just insane. PV: Yeah, pretty much. I mean, no matter the quarterback, JSN's gonna be open, he's gonna get some points, he's gonna get catches, yards, he's he's the top receiver in football right now. Big Country: Yeah, it's I love it. PV: Yeah, and and yeah, and I had a feeling about Mariota, you know, that experience. It it always gets you somewhere. and it it did this game. It we got them even further than I expected it to. I just expected them to cover, but they came out with the win in this one. it was Terry McLaurin's best game of the season. I think he had like seven catches for seventy three yards and a touchdown, something like that. so very, very bright spot for him. he obviously works a lot better with Mariota than he was with Jaden Daniels early in the year. Jaden Daniels There's some pretty good news about him. He does sound like he's gonna be coming back pretty soon. So we'll see you know, if they're still just as productive with him back in that offense. Big Country: Yeah bro, he owed it to the team to come back, you know? my god, dude. This dude's just he's just feeding the media with shit to talk about, man. And he's wearing the arm PV: Yeah. Big Country: brace, but he's gonna look like a lineman out there, bro. Maybe maybe maybe eat PV: Yeah. Big Country: a couple quarter pounders, buddy. Put on some weight. My god. PV: Yeah, he needs to put on some weight 'cause he's way too skinny. It's too easy to break those bones. Big Country: Like his own body weight crushed his PV: He literally just fell on himself. Yeah, no one tackled him. Big Country: I mean to be fair, he already did that last year as well. And that's kind of what, you know, started the but I mean, PV: Which goes to show. Yeah. Big Country: dude, like didn't like bulk up over the offseason a little bit. God damn. Interesting PV: Yeah, seriously. Big Country: fat, see legend Brady Russell had a twenty yard rush, tight end. Yeah. Yeah, for Seattle. PV: Really? I did not know that. That's pretty cool. I did see Colton Hood getting cooked again, but I know freaking Cam Ward couldn't get the ball to Carnel Tate. I don't know if you were watching any of that, but Carnel Tate was cooking Colton Hood's shit all game. Big Country: Yeah, that was a interesting Sunday, so I didn't get to see a ton of football, but I got saw some clips and highlights of most of the games, so but PV: Yeah. Big Country: i i needless to say, I mean, interesting Sunday to say the least. PV: Yeah. Big Country: Jags, we were on the right of the money dude. The Patriots are fumbling and they're fumbling big man. They cover PV: Patriots or dog shit. Big Country: easily against the Patriots at home. we saw Travis get his first pick of his career. That was sick. Track May just PV: Woohoo. yeah, speaking as you. Big Country: continues to start. I don't wanna wish him to suck, but like he's sucking. PV: Yeah, and we I mean, Big Country: Show for that. PV: we we said it we've said it we believed he was a fraud and it's showing this year. The easy schedule last year made it really easy for him to just throw bombs all the time. You can't make those you can't make those easy plays against good defense 'cause now he's having to fake plays good play against good defenses constantly. You see him turning the ball over a ton. I mean, think it's like seven picks in his last three games and and also like a number of fumbles. he's had a ridiculous amount of turnovers s ever since the beginning of the postseason and he's just been he's falling apart right now. hopefully it doesn't get to him too much Big Country: Six books by the way. PV: and he recovers six picks, yeah. hopefully it doesn't get to him too much and he finds some way to recover, but man, he looks just bad. There's just no other way to put it. He just looks bad out there right now. Big Country: Yeah, and it doesn't help that he doesn't have like the greatest receivers to throw to, but that can't be the whole reason they bind everything. You know, he still has Romeo Dobbs, PV: Yeah, that's true. Big Country: Matt Collison, Jamario Douglas. You know, he still has guys to throw to. I just think his decision making needs to be a little bet PV: Yeah, absolutely. Big Country: But as far as Jacksonville. Trevor Lawrence is playing great. Tootin's playing great. Parker Washington. That dude's a god. That dude has hands of gods. Like PV: Parker Washington, my guy. He is so good. Big Country: the two catches he had, the one that got called back, and then the very next one, I was like, who the fuck is this guy? Dead ass. PV: Yeah, the ball don't lie on the very next play. I remember because I I have him on so many fantasy teams and he and he got that first amazing catch on the touchdown called back and I was so upset. But then he got an insane one on the very next play and I was just like, Damn, ball don't fucking lie, bro. He was getting that touchdown one way or another. Big Country: That has. He's like the perfect like reason why I like hands catchers more than I like body catchers. PV: Yeah. Big Country: Because like his hands are so strong. And it makes it so much PV: Yeah, absolutely. Big Country: easier. Like, God forbid, a receiver learned how to catch with his damn hands. Come for the guy that's never played ball, but whatever. Yeah. PV: Yeah, yeah, I'm a huge, huge Parker Washington fan this year. He's been awesome. Big Country: That's someone that didn't really believe in all like the preseason hype. I'll swallow that one. Yeah. PV: Yeah, he's definitely living up to it. Big Country: hundred percent. Niners, they did not cover against the Cardinals, PV: And not cover. Big Country: did they? Cardinals made a late push at the end. I want to say Michael Wilson had a play at the end that kind of like altered the end of the game, correct? PV: let me think, what was it that I don't I I remember it being Big Country: It was something weird. PV: a two point a two it was a two position game, a lot of the game. And then the Niners, I think. yeah, the Niners fumbled a punt. That's what happened. They punted the ball and fumbled it in their own territory, and so the Cardinals got a touchdown to make it a one position game. and then the Niners end up scoring a touchdown and miss the fucking PAT, which obviously didn't help. a lot of people who had spread bets like me. That that actually Big Country: Right. PV: was really annoying. But they ended up giving up a field goal later anyways because they figured if they got a field goal now they could drive down the field if they got an onside kick, but they didn't. So yeah, it was kind of a weird one. The Niners sh really should have had a beltass in this game, but for whatever reason they let the Cardinals hang around the whole game and ended up being one possession. Big Country: Yeah, Jeremiah Love had honestly a great game. Twenty-one carries, ninety yards, five catches, nineteen yards PV: Absolutely, yeah. Big Country: at a tie. Kinda like his breakout performance of his like Ricky Years so far. You know, where he's a little bit more efficient. He's getting the ball a lot more or two over guys like Tyler Algier. And then you also saw Mike Wilson get 17 targets. Like good guy. PV: Holy shit, seventeen. I didn't know that. That's insane. That's going Big Country: Yeah. Yeah. PV: back to what he was doing last year. He was getting that cra that amount of crazy targets when Marvin Harrison was out. But, you know, Marvin Harrison's no longer a factor, so that may be a consistent thing, those amount of targets now. But yeah, I think a big part of Jeremia Love's breakout was you know, he's getting away from that injury he had early in the year, so he's feeling healthier and now he has more snaps in that offense, so he's getting more and more familiar with the playbook. So I can definitely see him going up and up in value. Big Country: Certainly as a owner in Dynasty, I'm loving it. was I also gonna note? Brock Purdy, put him down for MVP right now. He's having a great start to the season. PV: yeah, I actually agree. What a season, yeah. Big Country: say he beats Denver this week. I believe it's at home, correct? PV: It's yeah, Niners are at home. Big Country: I mean, it's gonna look good if he does. Let's just say that. not predicting that he's gonna go by any means right now, but we'll see that before it predicts. PV: I don't even know what the Broncos anymore. So it's it's really just a toss up with the Broncos these days. Big Country: Yeah, it's but I don't I mean, do you know what his odds are? His odds are it can't be that high because Josh Allen's probably leaving the market. But I'm not I mean not gambling advice. PV: Tashella probably is leading, yeah. But I could I could see him being like a plus like a plus five. If he's around plus five hundred, it's really, really a good value in my opinion. Big Country: Not gambling advice, but low key gambling advice, PV: Mm-hmm. Big Country: I think he would be wouldn't be the worst odds to take. So PV: Yeah, I honestly like that because yeah, he's been playing phenomenal this year. The the plays he's making, the decisions he's making, his ability to step up and maneuver in the pot cave, it's all been perfect play perfect Q pe QB play so far this year. Big Country: Yeah. Okay. Didn't realize he was plus five fifty. But you know, throw a couple of units on and you'll you know what you'll be happy. Josh is right PV: there you go. Yeah. Big Country: now plus one eighty five. Heavy, heavy favorite. Next Cosas is plus nine hundred. Actually Brock Purdy and then plus nine hundred with Patrick PV: Yeah, Mark Free. Big Country: Mahomes. So either way. moving on to the Bucks game, they crumbled down their leg, as they have the first three games. And Baker got hurt at the very end. So they're gonna be without him for a few weeks, it looks like. but like Bucks man, they're just struggling. PV: Bucks just don't look good right now. their offense is really, really lackluster. No run game, not that much of a pass game either. yeah, I mean, Baker going down, they weren't playing that great before he went down anyways. I'm not saying it's good that he's out, but you know, I'm not I also don't see it being that drastic of a difference in their offense with him being out because they were struggling so much anyways. So maybe you have something new with rookie Jalen Daniels, who I believe was an undrafted story this year. Big Country: Don't you dare say that. He's not gonna do well. PV: Ended up winning that. I don't know. He's a he's a running QB and Big Country: Yeah. PV: he's got a canon. You know, I won't I don't know that he's gonna do well, but I don't know that he'll do that much worse than Baker's been doing this year. Big Country: Well he can do well after this week. I need my team to get back on track. PV: I keep playing him. Big Country: but for Minnesota, you still three and Kyler gets you know his first full game win. PV: And he actually looked very, very good, honestly. Big Country: I mean, I know I'm not gonna say like don't overlook into his stats he didn't want but if you look at his stats, you want to play that great. PV: I think the the th the the big the big plays and the big throws that he made and the moments that he needed to, he made them and I think that's what stood out to me here. Big Country: Yeah, Jordan Addison had a pretty good game. Jordan Justin Jefferson had a kind of lackluster game, but the reason PV: He did go out in that game though. He got injured. Big Country: why this Vikings team is three no is completely 'cause of their defense. So it's PV: Yeah, their defense looks nuts this year. They're their defense has been top of the line. Nobody's been able to get past them in these first three weeks. But they're they're if you look at their fantasy stats, even if you play defenses in fantasy, they I think that they've been double digit every week. So, you know, it's definitely someone that you hope to have. Yeah. Big Country: Ten, eighteen, seventeen, yeah. All right. And I just want to mention Packers put up four hundred and nineteen yards against them. And two teams the last two weeks haven't even put up the amount of points that they have. So PV: Yeah. It is a division matchup. In in Minnesota's de in Minnesota's defense it is a division matchup. I think usually those ones are a lot. you'll see the other team. Alright, that's fair. That's fair. I'll give you that. Big Country: Ch Chicago put up three points, so I don't hear this. Anyways. But I mean good good for them. I might have to start believing in them and their defense and just let their offense, you know, find their footing. 'Cause I feel like you're just this team hasn't gelled fully. PV: Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones has actually looked really good as well, surprisingly. especially with Jordan Mason being out. Big Country: Yeah. Not very efficient last week, but that's PV: Yeah, I mean, he's he's been the bell cow and he's doing his job, you know. He he gets Big Country: Mm, yeah. PV: the yardage, he he gets the short first downs and everything. He's been getting a lot of catches out of the backfield. So another another fantasy option that started as kind of a very low buy candidate and has really excelled a with Jordan Mason being out. Big Country: Certainly, yeah. then we get into the Brazil game. Cowboys do cover the three and a half point spread, but they lose in the last second field goal after a PV: Man, that was Big Country: hell of a throw, hell of a timeout, PV: Yeah. Big Country: from Lamar to Zay Flowers and on the shittiest possible field conditions I could ever see. PV: And we got to see Tyler Ho Tyler Loop hit this hu in the Brazil stadium. That was cool. Big Country: He did, that was sick. I will say that was pretty cool. I mean I mean for the Cowboys, it's that's a typical Cowboys loss, honestly. Can't really say much. They didn't PV: Yeah. No, yeah, it is. Big Country: play that bad. you know, they put their team in a position to win and then PV: Their defense their Big Country: Didn't have it on the end. PV: defense is still letting them down. I mean they Big Country: Yeah. PV: they need to figure out something in that secondary. They don't have consistent corners. they can't guard they you can't allow a play like that to happen with sixteen seconds. If you're allowing Zay Flowers to get that far down the field and open, there's something wrong either both schematically and with your players. So that's something they're gonna have to figure out if they want to be competitive this year. Big Country: Yeah, certainly. C D Land has looked great too. George Pickett's had a nice bounce back game. Javante's looking great too. I mean, they look great. It's just they don't have the record to show for it on the offensive side. And I like to note the one guy they traded for from Green Bay, Sean Gary, he has gone, I believe, eleven games without a single tackle or sack. PV: Wow, that's really bad. Yeah, that's that's awful. Big Country: And I just and it makes me so happy that we got rid of him because he was a complete waste of money, unfortunately. I wish him well, but god damn dude, like he couldn't touch anyone if he wanted to, it feels like. PV: Yeah, no tackles in eleven games, that's really something. Big Country: It's ridiculous, dude. It's really ridiculous. kind of shock of the year. I know we kind of like kind of joked about it, like saying, hey, Vegas might actually be kind of good this year, but they are 3 0. Dealer with the win PV: They're legit. Big Country: over New Orleans in New Orleans 2. Kirko has a first game without an interception, throws three touchdowns, three straight games with three touchdowns, and they're just fucking dominating. Brock Bowers comes back, has his has a great first game of the season, too. I can't say upgrade things, but. PV: That's what I was gonna mention. Yeah, they they looked really they looked good before, they look scary now with Brock Powers because that was what they were missing, you know. Their offense was still getting it done, but they didn't really have that primary receiver. Brock Powers comes back, catches ten for 116 and a touchdown. It's it's it's scary. It's it's looking scary for the AFC West. And the Raiders are definitely after years and decades, fucking decades of being dog shit. This is the first year that I've actually been like, holy shit, I'm I'm I'm I'm not comfortable facing the Raiders. You know, it's gonna be a rough game. It's gonna be tooth and nails. Yeah. Yeah, that defense. Big Country: Yeah, they force four fumbles. That's insane. PV: We we've been saying it all year. That defense and the revamp the revamping Big Country: Linebackers. PV: that they did in the offseason off in the offseason has been it's been tremendous what they changed. Big Country: Imagine you took four tight ends to score in that game. PV: Yeah. Mayer, Brock Bowers, Siwan. Yeah. Yeah, wild game for the Titans, that that game. Big Country: Juwan Johnson had two. No Fant had two. Mayer and Dowers had one. It's like, that's insane. And JT didn't even score. He didn't even have that efficient of a game. He just he just did what he needed to do. That's what's insane about PV: Yep. Big Country: this team. Mendel's probably won't play a snap this season list cook extra. And that's what's insane about this team. So PV: Yeah. Yeah, you might not see Mendoza. If if Kurt keeps this up, why why not? Why not let him take a year, you know? We saw Bra Patrick Mahomes Big Country: Yeah, 'cause it like PV: take a year and look at how he turned out. Big Country: Yeah, they made the playoffs this first year. And then they gave him over the rents 'cause you know, his Alex Mess's time was up. This is a perfect bridge situation for Kirk Cousins. And he kinda I feel like he can go on a little high note too. You know, he might not play another year, you know, if he has a great year, you PV: Yeah. Big Country: know. PV: Yeah, I think if he can end the year if he can end with the high note this year, why not retire? You know, he's had an illustrious career already. If he can have one more really good season with what used to be a shit team and turn them into a good team, why not call it quits? Big Country: Yeah, click Kubix have a hell of a turnaround for the first three weeks. Talk to me about your Broncos, man. Rams come in. Should have won. Hundred percent wasn't a defensive PA call, but whatever. Broncos win a close one again. PV: You know, I think regardless of the PI call, I think regardless of the PI call, we outscored them thirty to ten in the second half. And that's the Rams' fault, you know. You can't say that just because there was one BI call, that's why they lost the game. Yes, it had a big influence. And yeah, you know, it it could it was it's an iffy call. one thing people aren't talking about much is the push that they that they had on Pat Bryant before the fact, but Pat Bryant certainly does pull him back into him. And I do think that that sh could have easily gone as an offensive PI, but regardless, we went out there and we dropped 30 points in the second half and we held them to 10. The only touchdown they scored was that big play where he cooked Riley Moss. Other than that, the defense was absolutely locked down that entire second half. And so the the energy of the stadium, that was the loudest they've been, I think I heard probably ever when Hufanga got that pick six. I don't know what the fuck Stafford was doing there. I mean even I think it was I don't know was it Chris Collinsworth? Chris Collinsworth broke it down himself. Hufango was the only player on that left side with two wide receivers out there. So you knew he was going to drop it to the flat. So why'd he throw it there? One of the one of the dumbest and wildest decisions I've ever seen by Stafford, and what I think was really the true turning point of that game, because they they were already up in that moment. They drive down the field. They were driving down the field. If they drive down the field and get any type of a score, especially a touchdown, that probably puts us away. But instead he threw a pick six and all of a sudden we're ahead and next touchdown he gets, they're only up three. So, you know, you can you can com Rams fans can complain about the PI all they want. They still let up thirty points in the half and only put up ten. Big Country: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he's also had four five penalties in the last two minutes, just you know. But PV: Did we really? Well, that the that that Big Country: Yes. They all went your way. PV: hands to the face, that hands to the face, we got lucky that they called that, but it was a it was actually a hands to the face call. How he saw that, I have no fucking clue. It it is a bit tikky-tacky, Big Country: I thought that was a little tiki tacky to be honest with you. I really did. I was like, Mm, damn. PV: but legally, yes, it is a hands to the face. How in the fuck the ref sees that play in is beyond me. Big Country: Yeah. Devante Adams had a great game as well. He honestly played very well. PV: Devon yeah, I I I actually should have said something about that. I I didn't I was talking shit about Devante. I thought he only had a good game because he faced Colton Hood, but man, he had Pat Sutan looking fucking lost that whole game, dude. Two different plays where he got overthrown. Yeah. Big Country: He had him beat on two double moves in Safford if he actually knows how to make the throw. Yeah. PV: He literally Devante could have gone for a hundred and forty yards and a touchdown, some shit like that. You maybe even more. He was absolutely torching our shit out there. Pat Sutan looked the most scared I've ever seen him. Well then he could have gone for fucking 200. Big Country: Well he had a hundred and thirty seven already. He dude, he's he's got ballistic the past two weeks. PV: But I guess what I was thinking about was whenever he was matched up on Pat Sutan, I think he only had four catches for 60 yards or something like that. But he could have easily had over a hundred on him if those two plays were completed. So that was a rough game for Pat. Big Country: Yeah, that back shoulder that he had on Pats of Tan, it was just beautiful. Mm-hmm. PV: yeah, dude. And Pat yeah, Pat literally looked so lost. He was like, Wait, what the fuck? And all of a sudden it was just on the opposite side of him. Yeah, it was it was rough to watch as a big Pats' tan fan. I'm actually wearing his jersey right now. But, you know, Big Country: Yeah. PV: he'll bounce back. He's still one of the top corners in football. Devante, you know, Devante knows how to play against him. They've played against each other for years, especially having matched up against each other with the Raiders. So it was it was a hard one for him. Just put it in the back of your mind, move on to the next one. We still got the win. Big Country: Yeah. And the native was telling me, you know, the weekend he's just like he's ha he kinda has his number. You know, he always kinda has. PV: Yeah, he kinda does. Big Country: And something might happen. Yeah, PV: He's probably the only guy so far in the league that does. Big Country: he was like telling me he's like I've only seen him look this bad against one person, it's Devante. Surprised Devante. Stafford, if you didn't know, he has now the most pick sixes in NFL history. PV: Yep. Yeah, that pick sixty two funga. They they literally just kept announcing it too. I felt so bad. By the way, Stafford no just broke the record for most pick six. I was like, damn, Big Country: Mm-hmm. PV: let him go. Big Country: Yeah. Interesting game. Great game too, just overall. You guys came back after being down sixteen to nothing at half. You know, typical Broncos fashion. Start slow, finish fast. I don't know how the fuck he caught that. PV: My God, that two-point conversion to Jalen Waddle. Holy shit. That was one of the craziest plays I've ever seen in my life. The double move into the barely getting the throw over the helmet and then him still toe tapping it. my God. Big Country: Why are we doing a double move from like five yards out? That's my question. PV: Why are we doing a f yeah, why are we doing a fade double move? That shit was insane. There was no room to throw that football, but we somehow made it fucking work. Yeah. I don't know how it how it worked, but it worked. Big Country: why w why do we even throw it? Yeah, great job by the Broncos. Rams start one and two, Super Bowl heavy, heavy favorite to start the year. as we go to our Monday night games, we're kinda wrapped up the three three slate. Eagles big favorite on PV: My God. Big Country: the road and they get diced up by case game. Simple as that. Jalen Hurts can look good. The running game looked great in the first half, and then they didn't go back to it. And they kinda just pissed down their leg the whole entire second half. Because they were there in the first. It was ten to seven and a half. So I don't really know what to say. PV: Yeah, that Eagles offense looks fucking it looks awful. their defense is the only saving grace for that team at the moment. It's Saquon Barkley, obviously. But man, Jalen Hurts is just struggling this year. He cannot find any open receivers. He's afraid to throw the football down the field. He can see in their game plan that they call all these screens because it's like the only throw that he's actually comfortable making. there were several times where you see players like Makai Lemon is who I'd be pissed for if I was him. There's several times that he's wide open. Yeah. Big Country: Dude, he's wide open on multiple token. PV: Right in the middle of the field. And Jalen Hurts just refuses to look his w his way for whatever reason. so until they figure that out, man, I'm super low on the Eagles and their offense right now. Jalen Hurts really needs to lock in. Big Country: Yeah, certainly. Now eels drop to what? They two and one or one and two now. Can't remember PV: Think they're one and two, honestly. Let me see. Big Country: to be honest with you. They are two and one. PV: They are two and one, okay. Big Country: So yeah, that's what we do fix. Let's get into week four, get into our predictions for that after you know we just wrapped up our week three slate. tomorrow night we got Pittsburgh at Cleveland. Pittsburgh is a two and a half point favorite off on the road, too. So the big one in sin at home against Cincinnati. do we do we doubt Deshaun again? I mean I can't deny I can't doubt my boy Raj, right? There's just no chance. PV: I don't know, it's so hard now. I can't I can't keep fading Deshaun. yeah, I think I think I'm gonna go Pittsburgh because it's a division matchup and I think Aaron Rodgers looked so good last week. I think he's found some sort of footing with that offense. You know, I keep I keep fading clearly he's not working, but I'm gonna do it one more time. Big Country: gonna be wrong. Yeah, I'm gonna fan one more time. I'm gonna take Facebook on the money line and the spread. don't bother about the over. but I mean I have a feeling short week going on the road. Pittsburgh might not look good. Kinda saw this last year too. PV: Yeah. Big Country: but we'll we'll see. And my boy better be better be slinging it tomorrow night. heading into our international game, we got Indy technically at Washington. Indy is favored in I believe London. This game has played the favorite PV: Yeah. Big Country: at three and a half. It's Washington, kinda like another's game where you got Marcus Mariota playing, and Jones hasn't looked the greatest. But he got him done last weekend. I don't know. I I'm I think I'm gonna take PV: Yeah. Big Country: Washington plus the money, plus those points, to be honest with you. PV: I think I would too, honestly. I'm just not super high on Indianapolis this year. there's just you know, they they've been giving up a lot of points on their defense. I think Daniel Jones is, you know, I think he's actually been playing pretty pretty decently, but it helps a lot to have such a tremendous run game with Jonathan Taylor back there, which is what I think makes him look better. But Mariota I think just looked so good last week. especially with Terry McLaurin. I think he's got a lot of good connections. I'm gonna take Washington too. Big Country: Lots of points, I'm assuming. PV: Yeah, plus the points too, yeah. Big Country: Yeah. then we got New England at Buffalo. I think we're we're kinda we're gonna be on the same w wavelength here. Buffalo, you know, they've looked good. New England hasn't. Yeah, until PV: Buffalo money line, Buffalo game line, yeah. Big Country: until New England gives me something to actually like look at, I don't see any PV: Yeah, exactly. I really, really do not feel good about New England right now. That often it's just looks horrible. I just s do not see them keeping up with Buffalo, who has already had their number for a few years now, it feels like. Big Country: Yeah, certainly. And then we got New York Jets at the Bears. Case Games looking like he's going to be in line to start again. They're gonna be at home. I I don't know. PV: This one's interesting to me. I feel like they've looked good. You know, they've lost all their games, Big Country: Decently good. PV: but they looked pretty good. They've look they they can keep up with all these teams, and so it's just a matter of time. Big Country: Hey man, they're two and one. PV: really? They're two and one? Holy shit. Okay, I was gonna say, wow. Big Country: Sorry, one and two, one and two, my bad, my bad. Yeah, Gino Smith is protecting the ball, doing exactly what he needs PV: Yeah, exactly. Big Country: to do. Aaron Glenn versus Ben Johnson. PV: Honestly, give me gimme the Jets in this one. I think that Case Keenum had a miraculous game. I think I think he still has a solid game, but I think he takes a slight step back this week. So give me the Jets to win and to cover. Big Country: Yeah, I think with a weaker prep, the Bears well the Jets will be more prep for Case King type of game. But I don't think it'll be enough. I think Ben Johnson he he knows Karen Glenn's defense a little too well. And I think he'll down. PV: Yeah, that's fair. Yeah, that is true. I it is, you know, Ben Johnson going against his old defensive coordinator and they used to face head to head all the time. Big Country: His his his pal. PV: Exactly. But you know, it could be vice versa, same thing. You couldn't you know, Big Country: Kellogg. PV: Aaron Glenn could know Aaron Ben Johnson. Big Country: That's fair. That's fair. I guess we'll have to find out. See. Wait, he can find those. Yeah. Jacksonville at Cincy, kind of a you know, kinda big early season matchup, two solid teams. since he kinda trying to avenge that three point loss against the Steelers last week. Jacksonville coming on off a hot win against New England. I don't PV: I think this one's gonna be fun, but I'm gonna take the Jags, honestly. I think the Jags offense is just like really tremendous. and I think that the the Bengals will somehow find a way to blow it near the end. I'm I just I for for some reason I'm just higher in I'm higher on the Jags than I am in Cincinnati, so I'm gonna take them in this one. Big Country: Yeah, and truthfully told Cincinnati hasn't faced one truly good offense yet. They faced Tampa, they faced Texans without some receivers and now they PV: Yeah, without Nico. Big Country: they just faced the Steelers and they got banged up. So I kinda like your pick, I really do. I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you there. Love Howard just now. Okay. Except for Chicago and New York, but PV: Yeah, we've agreed on basically everything. Except for Chicago, yeah. Big Country: heading into New York hosting Arizona. I I don't I I'm gonna take New York here, honestly. I don't really understand why Arizona's favorite on the road. I think New York comes out a little bit better than they did last week. Arizona really doesn't give me a reason. To say, they're the better team in this scenario. yeah. PV: I'm st I'm gonna take Arizona. I think the combination of Trey McBride and Michael Wilson being a better receiver than their corners are corners any of them at the moment. Even with Deontay even if Deontay Biggs came back, he wouldn't be one hundred percent because he'd be coming back from injury. Jeremiah Love looking as good as he did last week. I'm gonna take Arizona here to both cover and win. I just really am low on the Jameis Winston and that New York offense right now. Big Country: I'm really high on teams traveling to the East Coast and not playing well though. That's also something too. speaking of the very similar situation, we got the Rams flying to Philly, West East Coast again. Rams are favored on the road. But we kind of PV: There's no way I'm taking Philly. Big Country: saw this last year how it planned out, if you remember. I know the you know, two slightly different teams, but ended up being almost a shootout. They had that crazy block at the of the game. but I'm not stupid, I'll take a look. So do this one for sort of that. PV: Yeah, I'm taking the Rams to cover and to win. Rams' offense is just really good. Then it's gonna be good enough to at least score on that Eagles defense, even though they're good in that Eagles fucking offense is terrible. So I can see the Rams honestly walking away with a big win in this one. I could be it being a I could see it being a large deficit for the Eagles. especially cause the Rams I think are gonna be pretty angry having lost that last game by you know, the way that they did. So I could see them coming back and having a big week, especially if Poop was gonna be back. Which it sounds like he is. Big Country: Yeah. Green Bay at Tampa Bay. I'm not gonna pick against my team. They're also gonna be facing a backup quarterback who are probably gonna lose too, but I'm not gonna pick against my team. So it's like Green Bay minus the points. It's so hard, man. This team fucking sucks, dude. PV: I can't I I yeah, as much as I want to take Green Bay 'cause it should make sense, man, they look they have looked awful all year. Big Country: We this is where we either save our season or sell out for the number one pick. That doesn't even go to us. So we need to s we need to make the season something. 'Cause our pick goes to Dallas, it goes to New York. It doesn't even fucking matter. PV: I think fuck I can't I can't take Green Bay. I think I'm gonna take Big Country: Just do it. Just PV: Tampa. I'm gonna take Tampa. I think Jalen Daniels will surprise a lot of people with that cannon. Big Country: Honestly, I low key agree. I just won't put it down. Anyway. Tennessee at Baltimore. PV: He can he can run back there. He's got a cannon, so yeah. Tennessee Baltimore. I can't keep ten I can't keep tailing Tennessee. Yeah. Big Country: Tennessee at Baltimore. Tennessee's been playing shit. Yeah. I know it's eleven and a half point spread. Baltimore, you know, it's not the so greatest defense. But Baltimore's also at home too. PV: Baltimore always plays bad against shit teams, though. Yeah. They've just been playing really bad against shitty teams, I feel like. do they cover so I do want to take Baltimore to win at the very least. Will Tennessee cover this one though? Big Country: I wouldn't though. I don't know. They haven't shown anything where they say they can cover. PV: No, but that's why that's when I feel like they do is when they haven't shown shit. I'm gonna take Tennessee to cover. I and I don't think I d and I I don't have anything to back it up other than intuition. Yeah. Big Country: nice. Yeah, there you go. Anyway and they covered against the Eagles. Look at how the Eagles looked. PV: Yeah, exactly. Big Country: Dallas at Houston, Battle of Texas here. Dallas is a three-point underdog after a loss against the Ravens in Brazil. PV: Yeah, honestly, I I like Dallas in this one. I think their offense is too good right now. I think even if Nico Collins back comes back, he won't be a hundred percent. I think d the one the one thing that could be the saving grace for Houston here is if David Montgomery really starts chugging it. because Dallas's run defense hasn't looked great this year. So if David Montgomery can have a repeat performance of week one, Houston should have it. But I'm higher on Dallas. I'm gonna take Dallas to cover and win. Big Country: Yeah, I'm gonna I'm I'm kinda betting on Houston's defense to play very well. If Deagle Collins comes back, I they honestly win this game. You know, they're gonna be at home. They gotta write the shit back. They're gonna be 0-3 in the end of this game. They need to win. So I'd like Houston to coming out with a dub. Even though Dallas PV: That's fair. Big Country: offenses look great, I think I'll shoulder down with Houston's defense too. PV: Yeah, that's fair. Big Country: Miami Minnesota I don't really know PV: Yeah, taking Minnesota to win it a cover. Big Country: You know, I don't know about covering because Minnesota's defense PV: You don't think so? Big Country: is is great, yes, but Miami has kept games somewhat close against shit teams. And Minnesota's offense hasn't given me any reason to think they actually can put up points. So I'm gonna take Minnesota to win, but Miami to cover. PV: take Minnesota to win and cover in this one. I think especially with losing to Bonichan that offense because extremely one sided. 'cause you know you're just gonna have to rely on your scrambling quarterback and you just design zone plays to cover that, teach your players to stay in their spots where they need to be. So I don't know, I think with Minnesota's defense being as good as it is, I could see it I could see Miami only mustering three points in this game and Minnesota scoring enough to cover. Big Country: Good. Yeah. Kansas City at Las Vegas. Big division rivalry matchup. both teams coming at 3-0. Vegas is a home underdog with four and a half points. I'm going to take Kansas City with the points as well. I think they're a good team. The run game has been great. I know to me. I don't even say hostile crowds in Vegas. They don't probably have fans. But PV: It'll probably be more Kansas fans 'cause it's Vegas, you know. People could just go for fucking Big Country: Exactly. PV: fun. Big Country: Yeah. And as much as we've been high on the V Raiders, man, they haven't played anyone crazy good yet, and this will be a big test for them. So if they come out and they cover four and half points, I'll be much more confident. PV: Yeah, and I think, more than anything, it's it's fucking Kansas. You know, Kansas just knows how to win games. Kansas for money line for sure, is what I would pick here. And I do think they'll probably cover the spread as well. It also just wouldn't surprise me, however, if Kansas only ended up winning this game by a field goal. They're just they always end up winning games like that. you know, it doesn't really matter how you win as long as you're winning, but you know, Kansas does like to keep things close, but regardless, they're gonna win this game and I do see them covering I think that they know that they know the Raiders really well. They've probably been studying them all off season. so I could see them winning this one pr like at least by a touchdown. Big Country: Seattle hosting the Chargers. Chargers suck. PV: we're skipping the Broncos. Big Country: fuck. My bad. Bucky O'Broncos, man. Denver at San Fran. We were kind of talking about early. Brock has looked amazing. I think this is one of the teams where you can't start extremely slow like you did last week and just come alive. You're not gonna have the home energy. Bay Area knows how to back a stadium as well and they're gonna be rowdy as well. I like how Brock's playing. I I don't mind how Denver's playing, but they're you know, they're just they're playing how Denver usually plays and I don't think this is gonna work into that type of game style. So this is me picking against Denver for like a fourth straight week and I'm finally gonna be right once. PV: I think here, I I actually don't think that this will be like a Denver game. I don't think that we will be down early and then have to come back. I think this one will be a little bit tighter than anticipated, but I still think that we're gonna lose this one. the Niners are just efficient on both sides of the ball. They have a really good run game. We have a terrible run defense. and so I think just a combination of things, especially with us not being at home and not having that home energy that's carried us these last two weeks. I could definitely see us losing this game and not covering that spread. it is a close spread for a reason because we I do think we'll make it competitive, but I still think we're probably not gonna pull this one out. So I'm I'm fading the Broncos unfortunately. Big Country: Yeah. going into our last afternoon slate matchup, we got Chargers going up to Seattle to play, where Seattle's a seven point favorite at home. Chargers haven't really given me a reason to at them to cover or spread more money line. So I'm gonna take Seattle and buy as the points. PV: Yeah, I'm gonna agree with you here. I think that the Chargers, you know, they had one good week and then they started stepping back in that second half. I think that they maybe had a bit of momentum going when they were keeping up with the Bills, but it may have it may have gotten shattered just then. And so I think with a team as with an offense as good as Seattle's is looking right now, there's no one that's gonna be able to hold JSN and I'm just I'm not confident in that offense right now. So I'll take Seattle to win and to cover as well. Big Country: Yeah. And then heading into our Sunday night matchup, we got Detroit coming into Carolina over there. Three and a half point road favorite. you know, I'm not liking exactly what we're all seeing from Detroit. You know, their offensive look has looked good, not great. Carolina hasn't looked good either. I mean, but they have looked good. It's just it's kind of a hard pick game to pick. But I'm gonna take Carolina to win at home plus a three and a half. PV: I think I'm gonna take Detroit to win, cover the spread. And the main reason actually being is Carolina lost both JC Horn and Mike Jackson this past week. So you're losing your one and two starting cornerbacks. Who the fuck is gonna stop Aaron Amon Ra for one? Jameson Williams might finally have a good game now that there's not a corner two. I just don't see that without your top two corners, Carolina being able to stop such someone's especially someone as good as Amon Ra while you're still having to deal with Jameer Gibbs. So I'm taking Lions to win and cover this one. Big Country: Who's gonna t who's gonna stop most improved player of the year Bryce young though? PV: Yeah, I mean their offense has looked really, really good, I'll give you that, but I don't think it's gonna be enough in this game, unfortunately. Big Country: I think the Lions defense is not honestly good enough this year and it hasn't been for the past two years anyway. PV: Yeah, that's fair. Big Country: and I can see this being a shootout. I really can. You know, where it's like thirty one thirty one going to last round and it's gonna be whoever has the ball last. PV: Yeah, I could actually definitely see it being a shootout as well. Cause yeah, that Carolina offense has looked extremely high powered. You have a really good receiving core. Chuba Hubbard isn't having a solid year. and so I could definitely see their offense at least keeping up, but I'm still on Detroit's side pulling this out. Big Country: Yeah. And then leading into what's kinda turning into a great matchup for Monday night. Atlanta coming into New Orleans. New Orleans is a two and a half point favorite. After what I saw from Atlanta last week, I know they played a shitty defense, shitty offense, shitty special teams unit. But Atlanta like PV: Shitty team. Big Country: Atlanta looked fucking good on Thursday night. And I think they're gonna roll it into a team that just lost as well. I don't care if Hurricane Katrina was twenty years ago, bro. Atlanta's winning this. PV: Yeah, I mean I think the the Atlanta's offense looked phenomenal last week they started out a little slow but then started getting the gears turned in you have players like B. John Robinson. I I tried I I said Bilo on Drake London. He immediately popped off with Michael Penix in there. so hopefully you went and got him because his price is not gonna be much lower anymore. yeah. What was what was up with that? Yeah, two different times. Yeah, that was crazy. Two different times, one down the sideline, another one in the middle of the field. Big Country: That slow fucker, bro. Dude, he had multiple chances to have big, big touchdowns, but Dude it I've never seen him so slow. Something's going on, man. PV: Yeah, that was that was pretty crazy. Something that did look pretty fishy. That was kind of a weird play, but regardless, he still had an outstanding game. and so the Falcons do look a lot better. The Saints always keep up with teams and their offense will look good, but they don't know how to finish and win games. They really don't. The only time they finished and won a game was because the Ravens decided to run the ball five times with Derrick Henry in the second half after they were leading. So I'm also gonna take Atlanta here. I think New Orleans keeps it close, but somehow ends up losing it last second. Big Country: Not to mention they also are gonna be without Travis ETN for the future, we'll foresee of the future. PV: Yeah, that is very true as well. So we'll see a lot more of Camara and a bit Big Country: Okay. PV: more of Kendra Miller as well. But you know, definitely sucks to lose who the guy you just paid for a four year contract on. Big Country: Certainly. All right. Let's get into our weekly bets. excuse me. you know, donation time as we like to call it on the spot. PV: Time to donate. Big Country: here's my week four bet. I got McCaffrey over sixty five and a half rushing yards. I kinda like it just because we kinda talked about this earlier. Denver's rushing defense hasn't been great this year. Yeah, PV: Is shit. Big Country: there's a good that's a good word for it. JSN has been electric over the year and the Chargers have given up almost 200 yards games to receivers. That's not the type of thing you want for a guy like JSN. I think that smashes. and then I like what I saw in Mac Collins last week, even though they were trailing most of the game. Buffalo gives up a lot of yards to receivers as well. So I'll take 40 over 33 and a half receiving yards. Part light it up, that's plus five sixty one, and those are also their current lines, so you can take them as straight bets. yeah, that's my Week four bet. PV: That's the biggest one we've had this year. Big Country: Yeah, you know what? We're down some units and the listeners need to win. PV: We. I think you. Big Country: it's yours. PV: Alright, so if you tailed me last week, Donnay Mitchell didn't play, but we went two for two. So another hit. Two for three on the air. Pretty solid. we're gonna try to get another one here. The Rams, it's not the Colts. The Rams will be facing the Eagles this week. and I was talking about it earlier. I'm really, really low on Big Country: yeah. PV: the Eagles offense. and I think, especially with Puka coming back, I don't think that they'll be able to handle that offense and so or the Rams offense. So I'm taking the Rams to cover by minus two point five. I think it'll honestly end up being a big win. this is also wrong. The Kansas City is playing against Las Vegas, not Jacksonville. But that's okay. Big Country: Not my fault. That is that is that is my partner in crime, AI. It's not his fault. PV: But I do think yeah, we talked a bit about this earlier. I think Kansas just they know how to win games, and I think that they have Vegas' number over the last few years. and I mentioned it that 4.5 made me a little nervous because I feel like the can the Chiefs typically win by a field goal. So I'm gonna lower that spread a little bit, make it a minus two point five for them here. And then I think Jared Goff is actually going against the Panthers. And just like I mentioned earlier, he The Panthers are missing both Mike Jackson and JC Horn. So I think with both of them out and Amon Raw being as good of a wide receiver he as he is and Jameson William ha Jameson Williams having the potential that he does, I could see Jared Goff easily having a huge game this week. So parley all those up, you get a plus three fifty three. Big Country: Yeah, not bad. And I like to note last week I went one for three after the Panthers sold me against the Browns, and then the Bengals failed to cover two and a half against forty two Roller and Rodgers. PV: Ugh God, those are both brutal too. That sucks. Big Country: But the Patriots under against the Jags hit. So PV: Woo. Big Country: we know some ball we like to donate, of course. and that kind of rubs it. PV: Alright. Big Country: And some sadness. Tend it out. Before we wrap it up, The buffs and the bus. PV: Don't even tell me about the buffs. Big Country: lost again. Now two and two. More Dion impulsive decisions. We're screwed. PV: By Juju. Juju got benched. Big Country: Juju did get bench at the sec in the second half for Isaac Wilson, brother of younger brother of Zach Wilson. So PV: And they confirmed that he's not gonna be starting next week. Big Country: Yep. And again it's probably the biggest game of the year for us against going up against number eleventh ranked Texas Tech at home homecoming week. I mean, we'll still root for but I'm not expecting shit. So PV: No. And that's that's where I think the big problem here is I mean, you have a young quarterback who was a five star in Juju Lewis. We are already in a place where we're not gonna get anywhere this season. Why not just give him the reps to get progression and start learning more about how to play in that offense? Like pulling him out and just pushing back the progression, making it harder for him to actually get used to being that starting quarterback in that offense just does not feel like the right move to me. Big Country: Yeah. Partially why I think he's making all these impulse season is because I feel like somewhat Dion or as the stupid people in the video call Coach Prime, I think he thinks he's on PV: Hat sie. Big Country: the hot seat a hundred percent. I think he won he like knows like he needs to win or like he's gonna be fighting for his job at the end of season or fighting it going into next season. He has a twenty five million dollar buyout. I don't think we're gonna buy him out because you know, he still brings ton of money into the program, but like how you gonna get recruited centers you just suck ass. You know, we thought it was the coordinators. He brought in the coordinators. You know, like at some point it's gotta be the top of the tip of the iceberg and it's gotta be in. PV: Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Big Country: And people are not ready for that conversation, unfortunately. So PV: Unfortunately, but it's it's the truth. Big Country: That kind of concludes episode eighteen of God's two problems podcast. this is Wednesday, September thirtieth, going into October. Best month of the year. PV: Woo! Big Country: Got any concluding remarks, man? PV: nah man just go Broncos. It's gonna be a tough one. If we somehow manage to win this one, I think our season actually looks incredible. but this is gonna be our toughest the toughest test of the season yet, so we'll see how it goes. Big Country: Yeah, and if Green Bay somehow beats the Bucks with a backup quarterback, Broncos, Packers, PV: Like I was a question. Big Country: Super Bowl. It's already placed in the no matter what anyway, but you know, we'll put more down. So well yeah, that wraps it up. And see you guys next week. PV: Alright, see y'all next week.
