Transcript
- 0:00The house of prayer. The fervent prayer of a
- 0:03righteous. God, have mercy on me. A prayer for
- 0:09repentance, restoration, and purpose. If you
- 0:14are carrying the weight of a failure today. If
- 0:17you knew better, but still made the wrong decision.
- 0:21If you ignored the warning. If you crossed the
- 0:24boundary. If you are looking at your situation
- 0:27and saying, God, I did this. This prayer is for
- 0:32you. Maybe you are wondering, can God still use
- 0:36me? Can God forgive me? Is there still purpose
- 0:40after my failure? Listen to the words of David
- 0:44in Psalm 51. Have mercy upon me, O God, according
- 0:48to thy loving kindness. Let us pray. Lord, I
- 0:53come before you without excuses. I will not blame
- 0:56anyone else. I will not minimize what happened.
- 1:00I will not hide behind explanations. Where I
- 1:03was wrong, I was wrong. Where I sinned, I repent.
- 1:08Where I ignored your warning, forgive me. Where
- 1:11pride controlled me, humble me. Where my words
- 1:15caused damage, forgive me. Where my decisions
- 1:19hurt others, show me how to make things right.
- 1:23God, have mercy on me. Like David, I pray, create
- 1:27in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right
- 1:31spirit within me. Don't simply remove the consequences,
- 1:36change me. Don't let me leave this fire as the
- 1:39same person who entered it. Remove the pride,
- 1:43remove the anger, remove the compromise, remove
- 1:47the weakness I kept hiding. Teach me discipline,
- 1:51teach me humility, teach me obedience. Teach
- 1:54me to recognize my boundaries and give me courage
- 1:58to repair what I can repair. God, where trust
- 2:02has been broken, give me patience to rebuild
- 2:05it. Where an apology is necessary, give me humility
- 2:09to make it. Where accountability is necessary,
- 2:13help me receive it. Where consequences remain,
- 2:18give me strength to walk through them. But God,
- 2:22Don't let me build a house in my shame. I refused
- 2:26to believe that the worst thing I ever did is
- 2:28the truest thing about me. Peter failed, but
- 2:32you restored him. David failed, but your mercy
- 2:36found him. John Mark walked away, but later became
- 2:40useful again. Paul carried a painful past, yet
- 2:44he declared, by the grace of God, I am what I
- 2:47am. So today, I receive your grace. I receive
- 2:52your forgiveness. I receive your correction.
- 2:55And I surrender myself again to your refining
- 2:58work. I declare, my failure will not have the
- 3:02final word. My shame will not have the final
- 3:06word. My past will not have the final word. God's
- 3:10mercy will have the final word. I may have failed,
- 3:14but I will not remain where I fell. I will get
- 3:17up humbly. I will get up wiser. I will get up
- 3:21accountable. I will get up prayerful. I will
- 3:24get up dependent upon your grace. God, if the
- 3:28fire has my fingerprints on it, don't waste the
- 3:32fire. Teach me through it. Refine me through
- 3:36it. Transform me through it. And whatever purpose
- 3:39you still have for my life, prepare me to carry
- 3:43it with humility and integrity. I cannot change
- 3:47yesterday, but by your grace. Yesterday will
- 3:51not keep reproducing itself in my tomorrow. God
- 3:54have mercy on me. Restore my heart. Renew my
- 3:58spirit. And let my testimony become. I failed.
- 4:02God confronted me. I repented. His mercy found
- 4:06me. And I did not remain the person who fell.
- 4:09The refiner is not finished with me. I am still
- 4:13being refined for a purpose. In the name of Jesus
- 4:17Christ, Amen. If you are walking through the
- 4:20consequences of a failure, remember, repent,
- 4:25repair what you can, receive God's grace, and
- 4:28keep walking. Always remember, you are not alone.
- 4:35Pamoja Ministry is your prayer partner.
