- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites, presented by DraftKings.
- 0:13Speaker 2: The crown is yours. We are an Action Network podcast.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm Brandon Krabt's back at it on this fine Tuesday morning,
- 0:20Speaker 1: along with my two faves and your two faves, Kendra
- 0:22Speaker 1: Middleton and the Prime Minister of Degenerate Nation Stucky. On
- 0:26Speaker 1: today's episode, We've got our plant the Flag game for
- 0:28Speaker 1: week fifteen. Can you believe it? Our official Thursday Night
- 0:32Speaker 1: Football preview Bucks Falcons, and of course the main event
- 0:36Speaker 1: Tuesday's primer from Evan Abrams Monday Night Football, The one
- 0:41Speaker 1: handed superhero Justin Herbert gets it done. There's the Chargers
- 0:45Speaker 1: beat the Eagles in overtime. Kendra, did you watch the regular,
- 0:50Speaker 1: real life version last night or were you in on
- 0:53Speaker 1: the Monsters Inc.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Edition.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I watched the regular version of Monday Night Football. I
- 0:59Speaker 3: think if I had to watch dan Orlowski and Monsters
- 1:03Speaker 3: University Inc. Whatever with that game, I would have done
- 1:06Speaker 3: things that I can't say on this podcast because I
- 1:08Speaker 3: would have hated it so much. I cannot imagine watching
- 1:12Speaker 3: such a shit show of a game in cartoon form.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I would have thrown my remote through the TV. And
- 1:17Speaker 3: I'm not an angry person. I'm not an angry sports watcher.
- 1:20Speaker 3: There is no way in how I could have watched
- 1:22Speaker 3: that game in animation. No, no shot, no, Although it
- 1:26Speaker 3: is funny to see all of the memes of Jalen
- 1:28Speaker 3: Hurts being intercepted by Sully Sullivan all over the place.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Sully had a hell of a game last night, Sully.
- 1:34Speaker 3: MVP, MVP Push.
- 1:38Speaker 1: It's a three game losing streak for the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 1:42Speaker 1: By the way, there is no more degenerate feeling than
- 1:44Speaker 1: having money on a game and then watching the cartoon
- 1:46Speaker 1: version of that game playout live.
- 1:48Speaker 2: That is that will always are in that jail.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I did that with I watched the Mickey Mouse version
- 1:54Speaker 1: of Victor Winbin Yama against the Knicks cover nine during
- 1:58Speaker 1: Christmas last year. But anyway, Uh, stucky is Jalen hurt broken?
- 2:04Speaker 1: The Eagles are in bet jail for Kendra. NFL dot
- 2:07Speaker 1: Com called their offense a rickety old sled incapable of gliding.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I thought that that was appropriate.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Well, you buried the lead, we hit our parlay again.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Well we try to warn you out to chase the
- 2:22Speaker 4: chief steam. Uh, but good job Kendrick coming through on
- 2:26Speaker 4: the Texans.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Still all profitable on the night with that. But yeah,
- 2:32Speaker 1: you know, I wasted a unit on the on the
- 2:35Speaker 1: Chiefs got another.
- 2:36Speaker 4: No sweat Texans and Chiefs under Uh, so that was
- 2:41Speaker 4: that was nice? Yeah they mean yeah the Eagles, I've
- 2:45Speaker 4: been saying it the entire season that this is who
- 2:47Speaker 4: they are. Their offense is broken. Uh, there's no fixing it.
- 2:51Speaker 4: And I I just like the play calling is so uncreative.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Whenever they're in shotgun, it seems like everyone knows what's coming.
- 3:01Speaker 4: The offensive line is not the same. Obviously, they've had injuries,
- 3:05Speaker 4: so the running game is not as potent. Hurts looks lost.
- 3:09Speaker 4: You can just play zone against them and everything falls apart.
- 3:13Speaker 4: There's nothing that works with this offense. There's not even
- 3:17Speaker 4: like before you'd have these periodic bursts of maybe a
- 3:21Speaker 4: quarter like that's even going away. It is ugly. I
- 3:26Speaker 4: saw a clip speaking of those animated whatever the alternative broadcast.
- 3:30Speaker 4: So I saw a clip that it like broke when
- 3:31Speaker 4: Hurts threw a pick and fumbled, it like broke the animation.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Wait if you never see monsters inc.
- 3:38Speaker 4: No, I don't know what that is.
- 3:42Speaker 2: He doesn't have kids yet. Kids, there's yeah, but you
- 3:47Speaker 2: were a kid when that movie came out.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Okay, hot take though, Monsters University is better than Monsters Inc.
- 3:52Speaker 3: That is your homework, Stucky, you have. Those are top
- 3:55Speaker 3: five Disney movies. Must know Disney movies. I need you
- 3:59Speaker 3: to watch one of then.
- 4:00Speaker 4: I'm sure I'll watch them with my kid. But right
- 4:02Speaker 4: now all the time.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Good.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Oh, I just recently watched them last year was the
- 4:08Speaker 1: last one of the last two years of my life
- 4:10Speaker 1: for the first time.
- 4:11Speaker 2: But Kendra is right.
- 4:12Speaker 1: One of the rare series of movies where the second
- 4:15Speaker 1: one is significantly better than the first one.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Oh, that's heartbreaking.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Yeah, the offense is broken and I don't see it
- 4:23Speaker 4: getting fixed. This this reminds me of Now, this is
- 4:27Speaker 4: really interesting. The two thousand and twenty three Eagles. Twenty
- 4:35Speaker 4: twenty three was Brian Johnson when their offense was broken,
- 4:38Speaker 4: but they ended up they still made the playoffs and like,
- 4:43Speaker 4: but everyone knew it wasn't going to work and then
- 4:47Speaker 4: they got destroyed by the Bucks in the first round.
- 4:54Speaker 4: But similarly to that year, this year you have another
- 4:58Speaker 4: offensive coordinator and a broken offense. People in Philly are
- 5:01Speaker 4: starting to say, like just every other year, we'll have
- 5:03Speaker 4: a good offensive coordinator and go to the Super Bowl.
- 5:06Speaker 4: But that year they won a bunch of close games.
- 5:11Speaker 4: They started off, they won a bunch of overtime games.
- 5:15Speaker 4: I think they started off like eight to one, and
- 5:19Speaker 4: they collapsed down the stretch. They lost five of six
- 5:25Speaker 4: to close out the regular season and they ended up
- 5:30Speaker 4: getting blown out in the first round of the playoffs.
- 5:33Speaker 4: There was a game that year against and it's giving
- 5:39Speaker 4: me similar vibes. There was a game I think they
- 5:43Speaker 4: had a Monday night game. The Eagles had a Monday
- 5:46Speaker 4: night game, and then the next week they were at
- 5:51Speaker 4: home against the Cardinals. It was New Year's Eve, twenty
- 5:57Speaker 4: twenty three. Evan look up this spread? Can you look
- 5:59Speaker 4: up the spread to twenty twenty three Eagles Cardinals New
- 6:03Speaker 4: Year's Eve? And the crowd was booing. It was a
- 6:09Speaker 4: disaster and they ended up losing to the Cardinals, who
- 6:12Speaker 4: had like who finished like three or four wins that year,
- 6:15Speaker 4: and they lost the Cardinals at home. Are the Raiders live?
- 6:20Speaker 4: I don't know, but that's the vibes that I'm getting
- 6:22Speaker 4: with this team, Like I wouldn't even be shocked if
- 6:25Speaker 4: they lost to the Raiders, especially if Kenny Pickett goes.
- 6:29Speaker 4: I haven't seen an update on Gino Smith, but Kenny Pickett,
- 6:31Speaker 4: who is the hero New Year's Eve it was minus
- 6:35Speaker 4: eleven and a half, same exact spread and ended up
- 6:38Speaker 4: losing to the Cardinals at home, A bad, bad Cardinals team.
- 6:43Speaker 4: I can't. I mean, if you, more power to you,
- 6:46Speaker 4: if you want to put your hard earn money on
- 6:47Speaker 4: the Eagles minus eleven and a half against anybody, I
- 6:50Speaker 4: don't trust that. I couldn't wouldn't lay eleven and a
- 6:52Speaker 4: half against anybody. If Kenny Pickett goes, he at least
- 6:57Speaker 4: can move around. That's what you need to do. Because
- 6:58Speaker 4: the Raiders offensive line is a joke, an absolute joke.
- 7:02Speaker 4: But yeah, the Raiders gonna play zone, make the Eagles
- 7:05Speaker 4: working down the field. Are they capable of doing that
- 7:08Speaker 4: against anyone?
- 7:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a mess.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I can't.
- 7:12Speaker 4: I can't see it getting fixed.
- 7:13Speaker 2: So I might need a serious contender, might need to
- 7:16Speaker 2: back our King Pete Carroll.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Yet again, we'll see if it lands on the card
- 7:20Speaker 1: come Thursday.
- 7:21Speaker 2: That a double.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Turnover play, by the way, that was the Marks the
- 7:26Speaker 1: first time since nineteen seventy eight. As far back as
- 7:28Speaker 1: the research goes for stuff like this where a player
- 7:31Speaker 1: has committed two turnovers on the same play. It was
- 7:33Speaker 1: also his fifth career start with a sub forty passer rating,
- 7:37Speaker 1: the second most since twenty twenty. Only Mac Jones has
- 7:42Speaker 1: more sub forty passer rating games since.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Like Whack Jones, he had his moment in the sun
- 7:49Speaker 2: this year.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Ken I saw some research going all way back. It
- 7:52Speaker 4: was the first time in NFL history that ever happened.
- 7:56Speaker 1: So yeah, well the double turnover, Yeah, that was the
- 8:00Speaker 1: first thing that ever happened. They've only been marking that.
- 8:03Speaker 1: They've only tracked it since seventy eight. Laura Rutledge with
- 8:08Speaker 1: the walk off interview that has gone virals trying to
- 8:12Speaker 1: get Justin Herbert to break down the wind. He wanted
- 8:15Speaker 1: no part of it. So I want to go celebrate
- 8:16Speaker 1: with my teammates. Who is in the wrong here?
- 8:20Speaker 3: Oh, Justin Herbert one hundred and ten percent. I've been
- 8:24Speaker 3: a Justin Herbert apologist for quite some time. As far
- 8:27Speaker 3: as like him as a person, he seems like a
- 8:29Speaker 3: nice kid, goes to work, goes home, keeps his head down,
- 8:32Speaker 3: that type of thing. But you know what you have
- 8:33Speaker 3: to do at the end of the game. You've been
- 8:35Speaker 3: in this league for long enough. Laura Rutledge is like
- 8:37Speaker 3: the top of the top tier creme de la creme
- 8:40Speaker 3: at her job, and you're going to disrespect a woman
- 8:42Speaker 3: just trying to do her job. I know it has
- 8:44Speaker 3: nothing to do with the fact that she's a woman.
- 8:45Speaker 3: It just has to do with the fact that he
- 8:47Speaker 3: wanted to celebrate with his team. Maybe he was off
- 8:49Speaker 3: a percocet for his hand and just wanted to do
- 8:51Speaker 3: his own thing. I thought this was rude. I had
- 8:53Speaker 3: a moment like this in college during the Border War,
- 8:56Speaker 3: you and ag versus Humane and the Wildcats. He spoke
- 9:01Speaker 3: to me every every week at halftime. You know, you
- 9:03Speaker 3: have to talk to me. They were down like a
- 9:05Speaker 3: touchdown or two with the half in their rivalry game,
- 9:08Speaker 3: and I chased after him and he ignored me. And
- 9:12Speaker 3: after the game I went into the press conference and
- 9:14Speaker 3: I said to him, I will chase you into the
- 9:17Speaker 3: locker room next time. I know the code, don't ignore me.
- 9:21Speaker 3: That was rude. Congratulations on the win, and he turned
- 9:24Speaker 3: bright red and did not ignore me for the rest
- 9:26Speaker 3: of the season. But it's like, I have a job
- 9:28Speaker 3: to do. You have a job to do. I don't
- 9:30Speaker 3: want to sit here and ask you how you felt
- 9:32Speaker 3: about that play, or how you feel about the win,
- 9:34Speaker 3: or any of these generic questions. But that's my job.
- 9:37Speaker 3: That's your job. You go the rest of the night.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Give me my thirty seconds. You know you have to
- 9:41Speaker 3: do it. You've been around long enough. Bad look for
- 9:43Speaker 3: Justin Herbert. It makes Laura Reledge look like a queen,
- 9:46Speaker 3: and her hair looked fabulous last night. So that's all
- 9:48Speaker 3: I have to say about that.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Very good at her job.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I don't understand why Justin Herbert was dick move.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I don't get it. I don't understand that.
- 9:57Speaker 3: There's no reason for it. You know you, but you
- 10:00Speaker 3: know there's cameras on you.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I mean, it goes back to college, like this is
- 10:06Speaker 1: just what happens after a game.
- 10:08Speaker 2: They talked to the star quarterback.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Every especially because it's not like he didn't go to
- 10:12Speaker 3: like a G five school. You played at Oregon, Like
- 10:15Speaker 3: you've had hundreds of these interviews in your career. You
- 10:18Speaker 3: know how this goes. Don't be disrespectful. You know it's
- 10:21Speaker 3: going to look bad on you. Give the girl her
- 10:23Speaker 3: thirty seconds and go celebrate in the locker room with
- 10:25Speaker 3: your teammates. They know you have to have that conversation.
- 10:28Speaker 3: They know where you are. Girl, get a grip, you
- 10:31Speaker 3: got your game ball, go home, reevaluate yourself.
- 10:35Speaker 1: The Indianapolis Cults are looking for a new quarterback. We
- 10:38Speaker 1: don't know if Riley Leonard's gonna be able to give
- 10:40Speaker 1: it a go. Daniel Jones is out for the year,
- 10:43Speaker 1: and they have now worked out grandfather Rivers. Philip Rivers
- 10:49Speaker 1: may end up being the starting quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts.
- 10:53Speaker 2: We'll see what happens.
- 10:53Speaker 1: But Stucky, how could you possibly figure out a power
- 10:56Speaker 1: rating for the Colts with a forty four year old
- 11:00Speaker 1: of ten at the helm?
- 11:02Speaker 4: I mean, I doubt River starts this week. I assume
- 11:04Speaker 4: he's coming in to kind of, uh you know, kind
- 11:09Speaker 4: of be a mentor to I don't know. I don't
- 11:13Speaker 4: know what they're doing because I think Steichen said that
- 11:14Speaker 4: Rippon would start if Leonard can't go. Is this we
- 11:19Speaker 4: we saw Brasmer and Seattle didn't end well, So uh yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:26Speaker 3: I wait, I have a question from him.
- 11:28Speaker 4: I'm going to try to come up with a number
- 11:31Speaker 4: for this game.
- 11:32Speaker 3: So Philip Rivers does training in the off season and
- 11:35Speaker 3: one of his clients is Riley Leonard. So for me,
- 11:39Speaker 3: I feel like because he trains Riley Leonard, you know, outside,
- 11:42Speaker 3: like outside of the NFL whatever. I don't think that
- 11:45Speaker 3: he would be coming back to the NFL if it
- 11:48Speaker 3: weren't to play, because he mentors these guys anyway.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, but I just don't think he would
- 11:55Speaker 4: start to Maybe he starts later in the season, but
- 11:57Speaker 4: I don't think he would start this week. He hasn't
- 12:01Speaker 4: been running the offense, he hasn't been with anyone. He
- 12:03Speaker 4: has no timing. I mean, he hasn't played in five years.
- 12:07Speaker 4: And I think that second came out and said Rippin
- 12:10Speaker 4: would start if he can't go. Plus, you need more quarterbacks.
- 12:14Speaker 4: You need more than one quarterback. You can't just have
- 12:17Speaker 4: one get just have Brett Rippin. I would be interested
- 12:20Speaker 4: in the cults that they. I don't even know where
- 12:22Speaker 4: Jason Bean is these days. The Kansas got run Reid
- 12:24Speaker 4: option with Jason Bean. I love betting him in college,
- 12:28Speaker 4: but I will say that you got the Colts right
- 12:32Speaker 4: tackle is probably gonna be out. Doesn't help matters Britain
- 12:35Speaker 4: Smith as a concussion. We'll see on their injuries. We'll
- 12:38Speaker 4: see a Sauce Gardner can come back, Yeah, maybe you go,
- 12:42Speaker 4: maybe go Warren Wildcat. But the Colts are cooked and
- 12:49Speaker 4: this Jones injury is a year injury. Richardson is wasted
- 12:55Speaker 4: draft pick they traded to first for Sauce Gardner, basic
- 13:00Speaker 4: to go all in on this year and next and
- 13:05Speaker 4: that ain't happy to happen. And and now you don't have
- 13:07Speaker 4: your draft picks, and the draft picks that you did
- 13:10Speaker 4: give away are going to get better, by the way
- 13:12Speaker 4: for the Jets. Incredible trade for the Jets. So the
- 13:15Speaker 4: Colts went from Wow, we're in pretty position, we're going
- 13:19Speaker 4: to get the one seed where the toast of the
- 13:23Speaker 4: league to now I think they might finish eight to nine,
- 13:27Speaker 4: missed the playoffs, not have a quarterback next year, traded
- 13:30Speaker 4: their first round draft picks away, and Colts fans, at
- 13:35Speaker 4: least you have the Hoosiers.
- 13:37Speaker 3: I mean, what does this look like for or for yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 3: for Daniel Jones moving forward because he's on a year contract,
- 13:42Speaker 3: Like you can't obviously sign a guy for probably what
- 13:45Speaker 3: he's worth after the season that he had because of
- 13:47Speaker 3: the injury, Like you're not going to pay a guy
- 13:49Speaker 3: big bucks to you know, raw row and sit on
- 13:51Speaker 3: the bench. The other thing I want to talk about
- 13:53Speaker 3: with Philip Rivers before we get to this. I do
- 13:55Speaker 3: think that he might play, just because if he comes in,
- 13:58Speaker 3: I get that he's forty four years old, he's coming
- 14:00Speaker 3: off the couch. He's a high school, you know, football
- 14:02Speaker 3: coach for his thirty seven thousand kids, whatever. But the
- 14:05Speaker 3: reason that I think that it also might be a
- 14:07Speaker 3: starting thing outside of the fact that he mentors these guys,
- 14:09Speaker 3: is that Shansdyke and was his quarterback coach when he
- 14:12Speaker 3: was with the Chargers. They're just maybe gonna run the
- 14:14Speaker 3: same system that he did when he was there. The
- 14:16Speaker 3: familiarity with the coaching, with the system, all of those things.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I just don't see a guy like this resetting his
- 14:21Speaker 3: clock for the NFL Hall of Fame if he's not
- 14:24Speaker 3: going to bother playing.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I just kind of think, like, we have sixteen games,
- 14:29Speaker 1: why would I even bother betting on a on or
- 14:34Speaker 1: against a Colts team that could be playing who knows
- 14:38Speaker 1: who at quarterback? Let it be Philip Rivers. I don't
- 14:42Speaker 1: know what this guy looks like anymore ever touching him,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I mean, he was he looked washed at the at
- 14:46Speaker 1: the end of his playing career. Now you're asking him
- 14:48Speaker 1: to come back, and it's just there's too much unknown.
- 14:51Speaker 1: We have too big of a card, I think to
- 14:54Speaker 1: factor this stuff in. Are we good with sort of
- 14:57Speaker 1: leaving this one off to the side for the week,
- 14:59Speaker 1: or or is their value to extract we bet your situation.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I just think maybe like bet time out or so.
- 15:07Speaker 4: I mean there's a number for everything. I mean maybe
- 15:09Speaker 4: at like fourteen. I don't know, I could look at it.
- 15:13Speaker 4: I haven't gone through all the games in depth. I
- 15:14Speaker 4: gotta wait for injurer reports, but.
- 15:19Speaker 3: You know, cold schedule, so I can launch the.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Chargers quarterback coach from this from heaven? From that you
- 15:25Speaker 4: said twenty sixteen to twenty nineteen during Rivers's last four
- 15:29Speaker 4: years of the team, and I threw for almost eighteen
- 15:32Speaker 4: thousand yards hundred and sixteen touchdowns, both top five in
- 15:36Speaker 4: those four seasons. But he's a grandpap now and hasn't
- 15:38Speaker 4: played since twenty twenty.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I imagine, having so many kids, you would rather come
- 15:44Speaker 3: out of retirement and get hit by grown men than
- 15:47Speaker 3: be at home with all of them. Free birth control,
- 15:50Speaker 3: thank you.
- 15:52Speaker 4: I mean, maybe he just wants a piece and quiet, so.
- 15:54Speaker 3: He's the back of the NFL. Would be peace and
- 15:57Speaker 3: why from your ten kids is hilarious.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Yeah, do you sit in the locker room with your
- 16:01Speaker 2: headphones on? That's way more peaceful.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Update on on playoff odds over on draft Kings, the
- 16:07Speaker 1: Colts are plus three hundred to make the playoffs minus
- 16:10Speaker 1: four hundred to miss.
- 16:11Speaker 2: That sounds about right.
- 16:13Speaker 1: The Ravens, by the way, I mean, it doesn't even
- 16:16Speaker 1: matter the way that the form that this team is in.
- 16:18Speaker 1: The Ravens are plus one eighty five to make the playoffs,
- 16:21Speaker 1: minus two thirty to miss.
- 16:23Speaker 2: The Chiefs. Are you ready for this?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Minus eight one hundred to miss the playoffs, plus five
- 16:30Speaker 1: point fifty to make the postseason? Hendra anything on that
- 16:35Speaker 1: card sound interesting to you. As far as playing a
- 16:39Speaker 1: team to make or miss, I mean, playing these teams
- 16:42Speaker 1: to miss is it's quite expensive. But do you see
- 16:45Speaker 1: any of these teams cracking through.
- 16:47Speaker 3: I've had the Chiefs to miss the playoffs since the
- 16:50Speaker 3: beginning of the season at plus one fifty, so I
- 16:53Speaker 3: feel like, yeah, plus one fifty, so I feel like
- 16:57Speaker 3: I'm sitting pretty on that. But I just I don't
- 17:01Speaker 3: think that there's value. It's so crazy how weak to
- 17:03Speaker 3: week the NFL is we go from seeing like you know,
- 17:06Speaker 3: teams like the Colts being from top of the top
- 17:09Speaker 3: krem de la creme total like super Bowl conversation, to
- 17:13Speaker 3: you know, this week, their odds just have completely flip flopped.
- 17:17Speaker 3: I will never count Patrick Mahomes out, as pretty as
- 17:20Speaker 3: I am feeling about this future bet that I have,
- 17:23Speaker 3: But man, how do you count the guy out? How
- 17:27Speaker 3: do you do that? I just I think that you're
- 17:28Speaker 3: better probably with a no bet situation here. I will
- 17:31Speaker 3: say that this season is shaping out to be that
- 17:36Speaker 3: if the Bills do not win a Super Bowl this season,
- 17:40Speaker 3: they probably never will. It's never going to be easier
- 17:43Speaker 3: than this. You're never not going to have Joe Burrow,
- 17:45Speaker 3: Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes in your way through the AFC.
- 17:50Speaker 3: If you can't get through Justin Herbert, who's never won
- 17:52Speaker 3: a playoff game, someone like Trevor Lawrence, a broken Indianapolis team,
- 17:56Speaker 3: it's never gonna happen. It's truly now or never. The
- 17:58Speaker 3: pressure couldn't be higher for them. I think that this
- 18:00Speaker 3: isn't so much about the collapse of the other teams.
- 18:02Speaker 3: At this point, we're going to be talking about what
- 18:04Speaker 3: are the Buffalo Bills going to make of this? Because
- 18:07Speaker 3: I think that that's where this conversation shifts from here.
- 18:10Speaker 2: It really should be them.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I think they're the most as as weird as it
- 18:14Speaker 1: is to say, because they've never cracked through with this
- 18:16Speaker 1: version of the Bills. I think they're the most trustworthy
- 18:18Speaker 1: team in the AFC to make it to the super Bowl.
- 18:20Speaker 1: There at plus three seventy to do that, not to
- 18:23Speaker 1: win it, but just to make it to the super Bowl,
- 18:26Speaker 1: and their.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Schedule, their schedule remaining. You're going to play a Patriots
- 18:29Speaker 3: team coming off of a bye. Obviously, the Mike Rabel
- 18:32Speaker 3: after the buye situation doesn't bode well for you playing them.
- 18:35Speaker 3: But if you have any shot, you've got to beat
- 18:37Speaker 3: the Patriots in Foxborough because of the division stuff and
- 18:41Speaker 3: the AFC is just a mess, and honestly, like just
- 18:44Speaker 3: for morale. Then you get the Browns at home. Yes,
- 18:47Speaker 3: Cleveland's defense at home incredible outside of last week. You're
- 18:52Speaker 3: going to play the Eagles tough, but then you finish
- 18:53Speaker 3: with the Jets. So weird, weird sledding for the Bills,
- 18:57Speaker 3: but they could go four and oh on the way
- 18:59Speaker 3: up stuck.
- 19:01Speaker 2: He looks like he's doing math over there, are you are?
- 19:03Speaker 1: You're throwing an equation together for any of these teams
- 19:06Speaker 1: to make or miss the playoffs.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:08Speaker 4: I'm taking Bowl notes. Uh so just bowl. My bowl
- 19:12Speaker 4: piece will be up later. I've been working on it
- 19:14Speaker 4: for the last forty hours. I go through every player
- 19:16Speaker 4: on every team, every coach, every potential up hopped out,
- 19:21Speaker 4: and it gets updated hourly throughout Bowl season. So look
- 19:24Speaker 4: out for that should be out like tonight or tomorrow.
- 19:26Speaker 1: That's an insane amount of work. That's a lot. Yeah,
- 19:32Speaker 1: for sure.
- 19:33Speaker 4: I bet I bet the I don't actually don't like
- 19:35Speaker 4: the Ravens to make the playoffs. If you're gonna bet
- 19:39Speaker 4: on the Ravens, bet on them to win the Super
- 19:41Speaker 4: Bowl if you like, because Lamar he showed some signs
- 19:44Speaker 4: in the second half of last year. But if they
- 19:46Speaker 4: get in, they can win it all. On this field,
- 19:48Speaker 4: you're betting on Lamar getting healthier and becoming one hundred percent.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Is that going to happen? Maybe not. If it does
- 19:55Speaker 4: and they win the division, I would rather have much
- 19:58Speaker 4: more upside than whatever it is. Plus the bat I
- 20:01Speaker 4: placed yesterday is Bengals fifteen to one at DraftKings to
- 20:04Speaker 4: win the division. They are not dead, hear me out,
- 20:08Speaker 4: So if they beat Baltimore this week, So say Lamar
- 20:12Speaker 4: is still not healthy. Now Higgins does a concussion, which
- 20:14Speaker 4: doesn't help. But I mean the Bengals just beat the
- 20:16Speaker 4: Ravens withou Higgins. So if the Bengals, the Bengals beat
- 20:23Speaker 4: the Ravens now, the Bengals have to win out Like
- 20:26Speaker 4: I mean, there, what's the record for nine? So you
- 20:28Speaker 4: might say, all right, they're gonna finish eight to nine
- 20:31Speaker 4: and win the division. Every year or two we get
- 20:33Speaker 4: one of.
- 20:33Speaker 3: These divisions or an eight nine AFC South every single year,
- 20:36Speaker 3: AFC South every single season since the dawn of times.
- 20:39Speaker 2: For this year, that gargantuan division.
- 20:41Speaker 4: So if the Bengals beat the Ravens, the remaining games
- 20:44Speaker 4: this week, the remaining games are the Dolphins and then
- 20:48Speaker 4: the Cardinals and Browns at home. Like I'm putting them
- 20:53Speaker 4: an eight and nine, Gordon, that does that mean they
- 20:55Speaker 4: are but no, but they have a good shot to
- 20:57Speaker 4: get date nine if they win this week. The Steelers,
- 21:00Speaker 4: who I still don't think are any good, they have
- 21:04Speaker 4: they have Miami. They were a three point favorite at
- 21:07Speaker 4: home against Miami this week. Miami's playing better. But even
- 21:10Speaker 4: if we give them that win, then they're at Detroit,
- 21:13Speaker 4: They're at Cleveland, I mean Rogers going up against that
- 21:17Speaker 4: defensive line. We know Cleveland's gonna show up for that
- 21:19Speaker 4: game wanting to end their season. And then they have
- 21:21Speaker 4: the Ravens at home. So is there a chance that
- 21:26Speaker 4: the Steelers go one in three? I mean, I wouldn't
- 21:31Speaker 4: be shot. They went on own four, not regreted. They
- 21:33Speaker 4: could go three and one, But with that schedule, like
- 21:37Speaker 4: I could see the Ravens playing the Steelers on the
- 21:40Speaker 4: last week and spoiling their party and that like that's
- 21:46Speaker 4: their season. The Raids. The Steelers have done at the
- 21:47Speaker 4: Ravens before. So if to save let's say the Steelers
- 21:50Speaker 4: finish eight to nine, well, the Ravens now they're six
- 21:53Speaker 4: and seven if they lose. This whole hypothesis based on
- 21:56Speaker 4: the Bengals winning this week, So the Ravens would lose
- 21:59Speaker 4: to the Bengals, they would fall to six and eight.
- 22:03Speaker 4: So in order to get to eight and nine, they
- 22:08Speaker 4: would need to go two and one over the remaining
- 22:11Speaker 4: games they're at. They're home against the Pats at the
- 22:15Speaker 4: Packers and then at the Steelers. That is not easy.
- 22:21Speaker 4: But if there's a chance that they could get date
- 22:22Speaker 4: and say, say they lose at the Packers, they beat
- 22:24Speaker 4: the Pats, then they need to win at the Steelers.
- 22:28Speaker 4: They do that and there's a big tiebreaker, or there's
- 22:30Speaker 4: tiebreakers with the Bengals and the Ravens beat the Steelers,
- 22:35Speaker 4: the Bengals are going to win the tiebreaker at eight
- 22:37Speaker 4: and nine.
- 22:38Speaker 3: And it seems like that Charlie Day like meme where
- 22:40Speaker 3: he's got the white board with all the markers and
- 22:42Speaker 3: he's like, yeah.
- 22:43Speaker 4: There's tiebreaker scenarios where the Bengals beat the Steelers. The
- 22:46Speaker 4: Bengals have the easiest schedule overall, so I think they're
- 22:50Speaker 4: worth a flyer, just some small catchings fifteen to one,
- 22:53Speaker 4: because if they win this weekend, I'm telling you, this
- 22:56Speaker 4: division is going to get weird and eight, eight or
- 22:59Speaker 4: nine wins is going to win it.
- 23:00Speaker 3: So we own the Bengals this weekend and they make
- 23:02Speaker 3: it in.
- 23:02Speaker 1: The parlay, I mean, I guess plus one fourteen the
- 23:05Speaker 1: money line, but yeah, I mean you're essentially too. Then
- 23:09Speaker 1: there's a lot more to it. And it was a
- 23:11Speaker 1: good breakdown by stucky. You're parlaying the Bengals to win
- 23:14Speaker 1: on the money line until the end of the season,
- 23:18Speaker 1: essentially because you need that to happen.
- 23:20Speaker 4: And then the other thing in regards to the Chiefs,
- 23:25Speaker 4: I did I think there is a it is worth
- 23:27Speaker 4: taking a shot on the Chiefs right now to make
- 23:29Speaker 4: the playoffs. So the Chiefs I played it yesterday. Now
- 23:34Speaker 4: the price got a little better because the price would
- 23:36Speaker 4: have improved if the Chargers lost, and I thought that
- 23:38Speaker 4: was a coin flip game and I wanted to get
- 23:40Speaker 4: ahead of it if the Chiefs. So basically we're saying
- 23:44Speaker 4: the Colts are out.
- 23:45Speaker 2: So the Colts are the Pilts are done.
- 23:47Speaker 4: So if you look at the AFC playoffs standings right now,
- 23:51Speaker 4: the Texans, Jags, and Bills put them all in. I mean,
- 23:56Speaker 4: it's pretty safe to say. And then obviously you have
- 24:00Speaker 4: the Broncos, the Patriots and who am I missing?
- 24:07Speaker 3: Uh?
- 24:07Speaker 4: Do you the NORF which is irrelevant to this conversation.
- 24:12Speaker 4: So there's only two teams left. Realistically, it's the Chargers
- 24:16Speaker 4: and the Chiefs, and the Chiefs host the Chargers this week,
- 24:23Speaker 4: pick up a game. Now, the Chiefs have to win
- 24:25Speaker 4: out by the way to have a chance. But the
- 24:27Speaker 4: Chiefs after this, they have their other home game is
- 24:31Speaker 4: home against the Broncos with revenge, and then their other
- 24:35Speaker 4: games are at the Titans and at the Raiders. So
- 24:39Speaker 4: if they win this week, which I think they do,
- 24:43Speaker 4: then I think there's a good chance that they get
- 24:45Speaker 4: the ten wins. And by the way, if the Chargers
- 24:47Speaker 4: lose to the Chiefs this week and they lose at
- 24:49Speaker 4: Denver in the regular season finale, Chiefs win the tiebreaker
- 24:55Speaker 4: at ten wins over the Chargers on common opponents. And
- 24:59Speaker 4: by the way, the Charters in between those two road
- 25:02Speaker 4: games at Kansas City and at Denver, they play at
- 25:07Speaker 4: Dallas and the Texans at home. I mean, they already
- 25:10Speaker 4: don't have a great home field advantage. Good luck against
- 25:12Speaker 4: that Texans front. Without an offensive line, I don't think
- 25:15Speaker 4: this Chargers team is any good. They've done nothing on
- 25:17Speaker 4: the road. They still don't have an offensive line. They
- 25:20Speaker 4: beat the Eagles, I don't think the Eagles were very
- 25:22Speaker 4: good Eagles last week. The Eagles threw four picks, hurts
- 25:28Speaker 4: at five turnovers and they needed overtime to win. So
- 25:32Speaker 4: the only there's a chance that the Broncos could rest
- 25:36Speaker 4: their starters if they have the one seed locked up,
- 25:38Speaker 4: because they do have the Tiberg of the Patriots. But
- 25:41Speaker 4: we're assuming that Denver loses that Kansas City, so the
- 25:44Speaker 4: chances of that are pretty slim. There is a scenario
- 25:47Speaker 4: where the Broncos could, Hey, we're playing for the one
- 25:50Speaker 4: seed over the Chargers, but if we win, we're letting
- 25:53Speaker 4: the Chiefs in and then if the Chiefs win their
- 25:57Speaker 4: first game, that's who the Broncos would play, which is
- 25:59Speaker 4: pretty uh, pretty interesting. Obviously you go for the one seed,
- 26:02Speaker 4: but that would be so Chiefs. So yeah, I took
- 26:06Speaker 4: a shot on the Chiefs. Math Wise, it's there's there's
- 26:11Speaker 4: not value in my opinion, but I made a little
- 26:13Speaker 4: fun bet. I do think that that both are worth.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Just throw some for some change out there.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you're never in your life going to get the
- 26:21Speaker 1: Chiefs at plus five point fifty to make the playoffs
- 26:23Speaker 1: ever again, so if that's one way that you want
- 26:25Speaker 1: to look at it as well, you.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Will if they lose this week, you'll get better.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Than well at that point, don't don't bet it at all.
- 26:32Speaker 1: That would be that would be a no bet. We
- 26:34Speaker 1: are about to take a look at Thursday night football.
- 26:36Speaker 1: But first, a word from our very own Kendrip Middleton.
- 26:39Speaker 3: The Favorites podcast has teamed up with DraftKings sports book,

- 27:07Speaker 2: All right, Kendra, what's on your mind today?
- 27:10Speaker 4: What selly b could you have been acting?
- 27:21Speaker 3: So I gave you a couple of options before we
- 27:23Speaker 3: started the show, because sometimes we like to keep this
- 27:25Speaker 3: related to sports. But you guys saw me low key
- 27:28Speaker 3: crying the other day before our show because my fish
- 27:31Speaker 3: tank is going through some stuff. So I decided on
- 27:34Speaker 3: the question, I'm gonna pull my greatest stucky here and
- 27:37Speaker 3: ask you some guy something really strange and out of pocket.
- 27:41Speaker 3: If so, for example, when my shrimp pass away RP
- 27:45Speaker 3: in my tank, their friends have to eat them. I
- 27:48Speaker 3: have to leave the dead bodies in this tank because
- 27:49Speaker 3: their friends and their family get nutrients from eating them.
- 27:54Speaker 3: If you naturally died, you couldn't be murdered if you
- 27:57Speaker 3: naturally died, and your friends and family could get nutrients
- 28:00Speaker 3: to live longer, healthier lives from your body. Would you
- 28:05Speaker 3: let them eat you?
- 28:06Speaker 1: This is a no brainer for me. Absolutely, I'm not
- 28:10Speaker 1: here anymore. You might as well have at it. Throw
- 28:13Speaker 1: some a one's steak sauce on there. I'm all for it.
- 28:17Speaker 3: I think so too, Like if I could help out
- 28:19Speaker 3: the homies, is my loss like gift, I would totally
- 28:22Speaker 3: let somebody eat me. I'm an organ donor, so I
- 28:24Speaker 3: feel like it's basically the same shit.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Yeah, can I put that. I'll put that on my
- 28:28Speaker 1: license too. Family can't eat me if the nutrients longer.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it's weird to like sit here and watch like
- 28:35Speaker 3: this happen. But like, the more I think about it,
- 28:37Speaker 3: I'm like, you know what, in a weird way, that's
- 28:39Speaker 3: kind of beautiful.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that is lovely part of life, Evan.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Would you let your friends eat you? I feel like
- 28:44Speaker 3: I need to know from you specifically.
- 28:46Speaker 5: Let's just let them make the decision, right, Like, I'm
- 28:48Speaker 5: not here anymore. If it's going to help them, sure,
- 28:51Speaker 5: but but.
- 28:52Speaker 3: You have to like declare it. It's like being an
- 28:53Speaker 3: organ donor.
- 28:55Speaker 6: Yeah sure, why not? I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah, let
- 28:58Speaker 6: them go.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I would want my to haunt the dinner though, and
- 29:01Speaker 1: be like, you guys are fucking weirdos?
- 29:03Speaker 3: Do you guys think whatever you die in is your
- 29:05Speaker 3: ghost outfit forever? I feel like that's why I feel
- 29:07Speaker 3: so much personal pressure every day to sleigh in my
- 29:10Speaker 3: outfits is because what if I die, that's my ghost
- 29:12Speaker 3: outfit literally forever.
- 29:14Speaker 2: I've never had that thought once in my life.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Really, all of my DMV photos are in my Mark
- 29:20Speaker 3: Brunell jersey, so I really think about these things. I'm like,
- 29:23Speaker 3: what would my ghost outfit be today? Mark Brunell?
- 29:26Speaker 2: Stuck? You letting the fam eat you?
- 29:29Speaker 4: Sure? Yeah, I'm dead? Why do I care?
- 29:33Speaker 2: Let's talk? Thursday Night Football.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Thursday Night Football.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Falcons at Bucks minus four and a half on the
- 29:39Speaker 1: Tampa side. Forty four and a half is the total.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Baker and the Bucks have not been in good form lately.
- 29:46Speaker 1: They've lost four of their last five out of the
- 29:48Speaker 1: by They've been terrible at home this season. I can't
- 29:52Speaker 1: get that game out of my head where they barely
- 29:54Speaker 1: beat the Jets earlier this year. I do remember, though,
- 29:58Speaker 1: watching one of these quarter documentaries on Netflix, they did
- 30:02Speaker 1: this whole segment on how stressed out Kirk Cousins was
- 30:06Speaker 1: going up against Todd Bowles blitz scheme on a short
- 30:10Speaker 1: week specifically, and yet here we are, that's exactly the
- 30:14Speaker 1: scenario that we face. Tristan Wurf's on the injury report,
- 30:18Speaker 1: Kay Dodd and Chris Godwin, Hassan Reddick, Mike Evans and
- 30:22Speaker 1: Jalen McMillan might be back, so kind of all over
- 30:25Speaker 1: the place. Drake London logged a DMP this week Earlier,
- 30:29Speaker 1: Reids stucky on Thursday Night football.
- 30:32Speaker 4: I guess I might lean Falcons somewhat on the number
- 30:36Speaker 4: lots of injury stuff the parts too. Still, I hate
- 30:38Speaker 4: Thursday night games. This isn't a game I'm running the vet.
- 30:40Speaker 4: But the Bucks are a mess right now. I mean, like,
- 30:43Speaker 4: since Week seven, Baker's second to the worst in EPA
- 30:46Speaker 4: per play among all quarterbacks. It's ugly, and I mean
- 30:52Speaker 4: the Falcons that their defense is still solid. This should
- 30:56Speaker 4: be a lower scoring game. I don't hate the under,
- 30:58Speaker 4: but there's so much injury stuff the parts through I
- 31:01Speaker 4: just don't Some people are still holding on to like
- 31:04Speaker 4: the Bucks that we saw older than the season, when
- 31:06Speaker 4: they were lucking into wins, when Mayfield was playing at
- 31:08Speaker 4: an unsustainable MVP level, And now he's come back down
- 31:12Speaker 4: to his normal form and the Bucks are massed now.
- 31:15Speaker 4: They've had a lot of injuries. In fairness, Baker himself
- 31:19Speaker 4: has been has been dealing with bumps and bruises all year,
- 31:24Speaker 4: and so maybe there's like a point where the offense
- 31:29Speaker 4: this is is this the bottom? And I said this
- 31:31Speaker 4: last week and I was like, I don't know, and
- 31:32Speaker 4: it wasn't the bottom because the bottom was last week
- 31:34Speaker 4: against the Saints in a bizarre game. Every time I
- 31:37Speaker 4: looked at that game, it was fourth and one thre
- 31:39Speaker 4: either team somehow, and the Bucks ended up going I
- 31:41Speaker 4: think two of seven on fourth downs. So I don't know.
- 31:44Speaker 4: But to your point, yeah, maybe on short rest against bowls,
- 31:49Speaker 4: maybe that's an angle. Teams are three six and one
- 31:51Speaker 4: against the spread versus balls on short rest since twenty seventeen.
- 31:55Speaker 4: But I think the Falcons defense can cause this broken
- 31:58Speaker 4: Bucks offense some issues. But there's a lot of injury
- 32:02Speaker 4: stuff to pars through and I don't. It looks like
- 32:04Speaker 4: London's not going to go the DMP in a short week,
- 32:06Speaker 4: but if he would, then I definitely would like the
- 32:08Speaker 4: Falcons at four and a half, but not a game
- 32:10Speaker 4: I'm running the.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Bet trends versus current form. Here we go yet again.
- 32:15Speaker 1: That felt like that was one of the themes for
- 32:17Speaker 1: me as I was prepping for Week fourteen, and we're
- 32:19Speaker 1: at it again to start the week between the Falcons
- 32:22Speaker 1: and the Buccaneers. I want to be on the Bucks.
- 32:23Speaker 1: This is actually a game that I had circled early
- 32:26Speaker 1: in the season.
- 32:26Speaker 2: I circle a.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Couple of games I know I'm gonna want to bet
- 32:28Speaker 1: them on. The Bucks were one of those teams, but
- 32:31Speaker 1: I'm with Stucky.
- 32:32Speaker 2: I don't know how.
- 32:33Speaker 1: At four and a half this Bucks team. I'm saying
- 32:38Speaker 1: at the beginning of the season, there's certain spots that
- 32:40Speaker 1: I look for. One of them was division Bucks home
- 32:45Speaker 1: short week was one of the ones that I liked,
- 32:47Speaker 1: and now I now that we're here, I can't see
- 32:52Speaker 1: it with the Bucks. I'd have to get probably a
- 32:54Speaker 1: field goal or short of that. Kendreword, do you land.
- 32:58Speaker 3: The Falcons embarrassed the shit out of me last week,
- 33:00Speaker 3: so I just can't get behind them again. They're very
- 33:03Speaker 3: close to be Vetereral prison for me. But also I
- 33:06Speaker 3: kind of have to cheer for the Box here, as
- 33:07Speaker 3: hard as it is, because once again I have a
- 33:09Speaker 3: future on my Carolina Panthers to finish second in the division,
- 33:13Speaker 3: so I need I need the Bucks to win this game.
- 33:16Speaker 3: As much as I feel like the Falcons. There's a
- 33:17Speaker 3: five and a half available, I feel like the Falcons
- 33:19Speaker 3: could probably cover that, just because once again, in my
- 33:22Speaker 3: brain always screaming, divisional matchups are weird. Divisional matchups are weird.
- 33:26Speaker 3: You can't quite get to the window, just because I
- 33:29Speaker 3: do have some other bets that are influenced by this
- 33:31Speaker 3: game that I want to see kind of ride out.
- 33:33Speaker 3: But divisional games are weird. But the Falcons just got
- 33:36Speaker 3: their ass beat. I don't believe in Kirk Cousins the Box.
- 33:39Speaker 3: I don't believe in either. They're decimated with injuries. It
- 33:43Speaker 3: just feels like we're destined for another flop of a
- 33:46Speaker 3: Thursday night football game that I am probably going to
- 33:49Speaker 3: have on my laptop in front of me while I
- 33:51Speaker 3: play the New Call of duty. I don't know.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Yeah, they got blasted by the Seattle Seahawks. Talking about
- 33:55Speaker 1: the Falcons. The week before that, they lost to the Jets,
- 34:00Speaker 1: wins against Yeah, they lost to the Saints a pair
- 34:04Speaker 1: of overtime games before that. I mean, they've just been terrible.
- 34:08Speaker 1: So I I just can't bet the bucks of four
- 34:11Speaker 1: and a half. This just doesn't feel like the kind
- 34:13Speaker 1: of team right now that's gonna pull away from anybody,
- 34:16Speaker 1: especially on a weird Thursday. And I've been awful talking
- 34:18Speaker 1: about well, I mean, I don't know, Stucky snapped his fingers,
- 34:21Speaker 1: so I can't remember whether or not I lose on
- 34:23Speaker 1: Thursday night games or not Thursday nights.
- 34:26Speaker 4: So yeah, I would also mention the Falcons special teams
- 34:29Speaker 4: have been an object disaster and that could always I mean,
- 34:34Speaker 4: last the last two weeks, like last week the game
- 34:37Speaker 4: blew open, starting on a kick return touchdown to start
- 34:40Speaker 4: the second half. The Jets game they basically lost because
- 34:43Speaker 4: of special teams a muffled punt inside their own three.
- 34:47Speaker 4: The especially is that bad all year long, one of
- 34:50Speaker 4: the worst special teams units in the NFL, So that's
- 34:54Speaker 4: worth noting. But yeah, not a game I need to
- 34:57Speaker 4: spend a ton.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Of time on when's the last time Stucky a video game?
- 35:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna guess it was before before twenty ten.
- 35:06Speaker 4: No, I mean I played. I played college football when
- 35:10Speaker 4: that came out, The College Football Game for a little
- 35:13Speaker 4: bit in the summer.
- 35:14Speaker 3: The Xbox PlayStation.
- 35:17Speaker 4: I have, like the utmost. I always get by the
- 35:19Speaker 4: upmost recent PlayStation. I don't know why, just so it's
- 35:22Speaker 4: at my house. But I used to play during COVID.
- 35:28Speaker 4: One of my best friends would just passed away this weekend,
- 35:30Speaker 4: Ip Chad we I spent every single day with him,
- 35:34Speaker 4: like this is the COVID summer. There was nothing going on.
- 35:37Speaker 4: I was betting on like nicka Rockman soccer. We would
- 35:39Speaker 4: just go down to my wife's bar and she was
- 35:41Speaker 4: selling all of the liquor in the bar like that
- 35:45Speaker 4: and the beer because they had to get rid of
- 35:47Speaker 4: it and like they had nothing to do with it.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Stuff was cool. We were closed, but there was a
- 35:50Speaker 4: window in the back and people will come out. You
- 35:53Speaker 4: also had to serve foods that she had hot dogs.
- 35:56Speaker 4: This feels like ten years ago. Was five years ago,
- 35:58Speaker 4: And for that entire summer we just played uh we
- 36:02Speaker 4: would We had a couch in the bar and we
- 36:03Speaker 4: would just go. We would just be in the bar.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Bus would be and him and we would just play
- 36:07Speaker 4: video games and drink and play beer pong like there
- 36:09Speaker 4: was nothing to do. And we would play what was
- 36:12Speaker 4: the game on n sixty four? The the hockey game,
- 36:16Speaker 4: the sick hockey game? Do you know this one brand?
- 36:20Speaker 1: Don't you actually had a stick, like a real physical size.
- 36:25Speaker 4: You would always do the NHL ninety four N four.
- 36:33Speaker 4: It's just it's an epic game. And so we would
- 36:38Speaker 4: play that. We played Madden. We were played.
- 36:40Speaker 3: We would play entire.
- 36:43Speaker 4: We would do a fantasy draft and then play an
- 36:47Speaker 4: entire season. Every single game. We would switch off drives
- 36:51Speaker 4: with the remote and then try to win a super
- 36:53Speaker 4: Bowl on the hardest mode and we would play. We
- 36:56Speaker 4: played like twelve hours.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Oh my god, this is what we do during What
- 37:01Speaker 3: a great way to determine your fantasy draft order. If
- 37:04Speaker 3: you're my age, you'll understand what I say. When Sniper's
- 37:08Speaker 3: only rust one v one. What a way to decide
- 37:12Speaker 3: your fantasy football order. Please somebody do that next year.
- 37:16Speaker 3: I am begging you. Anyways, I think really.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Twenty I played college for a couple of college football
- 37:23Speaker 4: for a couple of days, but really twenty twenty before then. Yeah,
- 37:27Speaker 4: probably call yeah.
- 37:28Speaker 1: That college football game is the reason I purchased my
- 37:31Speaker 1: current PlayStation five and thankfully my six year old is
- 37:35Speaker 1: now into playing video games, so now it didn't I
- 37:37Speaker 1: was in a total waste of money. All right, let's
- 37:40Speaker 1: plan at our flag presented by DraftKings. The crown is
- 37:44Speaker 1: yours mind the flag and it shut up.
- 37:47Speaker 3: I'm trying to plant my flag here.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Okay, you're really planning your flag in that deck. I'll
- 37:52Speaker 2: get it started.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna lay it with the San Francisco forty nine
- 37:55Speaker 1: ers Niners off of bye minus twelve and a half
- 37:58Speaker 1: against the Tennessee Titans, all of a win minor travel advantage. Here,
- 38:03Speaker 1: we've got our favorite babysitting dad, Robert Sala, extra time
- 38:08Speaker 1: to prepare for cam Ward, who's terrible. He was outplayed
- 38:12Speaker 1: by Shador Sanders last week. They won a game beautiful
- 38:16Speaker 1: regression coming their way. The forty nine Ers number two
- 38:20Speaker 1: and third down conversion rate this year, number two on
- 38:22Speaker 1: special teams. They have been so much better than we
- 38:25Speaker 1: have been giving them credit for it throughout the course
- 38:27Speaker 1: of the season. I know we don't like laying big
- 38:30Speaker 1: numbers on this podcast, but I think the Niners are
- 38:32Speaker 1: worth the plunge only bet I've made so far this week.
- 38:36Speaker 4: I can't personally get there. I mean, do you can
- 38:39Speaker 4: have a back door Shanahan gets conservative with these leads.
- 38:41Speaker 4: I just don't. I could never lay twelve and a
- 38:43Speaker 4: half with the defense that can't get pressure and is bad.
- 38:48Speaker 4: That's that's my only fear.
- 38:50Speaker 1: And the nice little trend Tennessee ten consecutive losses straight
- 38:55Speaker 1: up and against the spread after a straight up win.
- 38:57Speaker 4: I mean, you can just look at any Titans. Any
- 39:01Speaker 4: Titans trend is going to be bad for them over
- 39:03Speaker 4: the beast three years. I can't quite get there. I mean,
- 39:05Speaker 4: I'm not playing the Titans, but I'll plan my flag.
- 39:09Speaker 4: You know, I'm gonna go stick the varabel against the
- 39:13Speaker 4: spread and trends where you can't see them. I don't
- 39:16Speaker 4: care give me Josh Allen money line. Basically a pick
- 39:21Speaker 4: against the Patriots. I think the Bills get their revenge
- 39:24Speaker 4: the Patriots. Rundy is not the same without Milton Williams.
- 39:27Speaker 4: It's been leaking oil. I think the Bills can attack
- 39:30Speaker 4: them on the ground now and then they can attack
- 39:32Speaker 4: their linebackers through the air. I think Spencer Brown should
- 39:34Speaker 4: be back. They got Kincaid back, and I think the
- 39:38Speaker 4: Patriots are just at the top of their market price.
- 39:41Speaker 4: I mean, you want to talk about a team, Here's
- 39:44Speaker 4: who the Patriots. The quarterbacks they beat since they beat
- 39:47Speaker 4: the Bills, it's bad like one of them is starting
- 39:50Speaker 4: right now. So they beat Jackson Dart, Joe Flacco by six,
- 39:56Speaker 4: Justin Fields, Baker Mayfield, who's who's playing out as bad
- 40:00Speaker 4: as any quarterback in the league, Pennix by one at home,
- 40:05Speaker 4: Dylan Gabriel cam Ward and Spencer Rattler. Come on, I
- 40:10Speaker 4: think this defense can be attacked. I think Allen gets
- 40:13Speaker 4: his revenge. The key thing is, though, is that the
- 40:15Speaker 4: Patriots rundy is not the same right now. I think
- 40:17Speaker 4: Tong is going to be back, which ops a little
- 40:18Speaker 4: bit without Mount Williams, though that run defense has not
- 40:21Speaker 4: been the same. Give me Josh Allen, screw the rabel
- 40:25Speaker 4: against the spread buff of by trends. Bills get it
- 40:28Speaker 4: done on the road.
- 40:29Speaker 3: I'm with Stuckey. If the Patriots weren't in like literal
- 40:32Speaker 3: federal bet prison for me, that would have been my choice.
- 40:35Speaker 3: But I made my decision them the Eagles and lad
- 40:37Speaker 3: McConkey are there to stay. Otherwise that would have absolutely
- 40:40Speaker 3: been my choice. But instead I'm disgusting. I'm absolutely disgusting.
- 40:45Speaker 3: I need the injury to report to come out, and
- 40:46Speaker 3: I want this number to level out a little bit.
- 40:48Speaker 3: There's twos, two and a half's four and a half,
- 40:50Speaker 3: there's everything all over. But I think I'm looking at
- 40:54Speaker 3: the Commanders coming off of a shutout. We have talked
- 40:57Speaker 3: about that trend time and time again on this show.
- 41:00Speaker 3: I know it's disgusting, but they got shut out by
- 41:02Speaker 3: the Vikings. I might continue to chase that. I don't know.
- 41:05Speaker 3: I got to see the injury report. Need the number
- 41:07Speaker 3: to level out, But that's the number one game I'm
- 41:08Speaker 3: looking at this week just because of that, I suppose
- 41:11Speaker 3: because they can't.
- 41:12Speaker 1: The Giants's favorites. That was definitely one that stood out
- 41:16Speaker 1: to me, Like, what are we doing here?
- 41:18Speaker 4: This is Mariota starting?
- 41:20Speaker 3: Yeah, So I like that.
- 41:22Speaker 4: I like the I think Mariota's right now is better
- 41:24Speaker 4: for that offense. I agree, all his numbers are better.
- 41:27Speaker 4: This year they had like this quick strike offense of
- 41:30Speaker 4: Mariota now Artz not having Eartz will hurt a bit,
- 41:34Speaker 4: but they're healthier elsewhere coming off of a shutout, lost
- 41:37Speaker 4: in a bad spot, and I, yeah, I think this
- 41:42Speaker 4: is more of a coin flip game, So taking the
- 41:44Speaker 4: two and a half makes sense. But yeah, I mean Mariota,
- 41:49Speaker 4: no matter what they had like the same amount of
- 41:50Speaker 4: snaps going into last week, Mariot's numbers across the board
- 41:53Speaker 4: were better. He gets rid of the ball quicker. He
- 41:55Speaker 4: deals he's dealing with pressure better damon games this year,
- 41:59Speaker 4: So yeah, I don't mind that look at all.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Yeah, the the Vikings are coming off of a horrible defeat,
- 42:07Speaker 1: then they turn around and then they blank the Washington
- 42:10Speaker 1: Commanders thirty one to zero. Phenomenal spot by Kendra Middleton,
- 42:15Speaker 1: who has been crushing these plant the Flag games.
- 42:18Speaker 2: So here we go.
- 42:19Speaker 1: We've got Kendra at plus two and a half on
- 42:21Speaker 1: the Washington Commanders, Stuckey is on the Bills money line
- 42:24Speaker 1: at minus one fifteen, and I'm laying the wood with
- 42:27Speaker 1: the San Francisco forty nine ers at minus twelve and
- 42:30Speaker 1: a half against the god awful Tennessee Titans. Those are
- 42:33Speaker 1: our plant the Flag games presented by DraftKings. The crown
- 42:36Speaker 1: is yours and to wrap today's episode, let's bring in
- 42:40Speaker 1: mister primer himself, Evan Abrams. Evan, what are the trends
- 42:45Speaker 1: we need to be aware of before we fire away
- 42:47Speaker 1: on the apps?
- 42:49Speaker 6: My favorite trend of the week.
- 42:51Speaker 5: Uh, And it's just because of the situation, because it's
- 42:54Speaker 5: patently ridiculous. So the Broncos are on a ten game
- 42:56Speaker 5: outright winning streak and now currently listed as a whole
- 43:00Speaker 5: underdog against the Packers. Normally anyone would say to themselves, Wow,
- 43:03Speaker 5: that seems a little bit interesting, considering most teams on
- 43:06Speaker 5: that long of a streak would not be a home underdog,
- 43:09Speaker 5: would you be right? So since nineteen eighty, we've only
- 43:12Speaker 5: seen three home dogs on a ten plus game win streak,
- 43:15Speaker 5: but only one featured both of their starting quarterbacks in
- 43:18Speaker 5: the lineup, the two thousand and five AFC Championship game
- 43:20Speaker 5: in Pittsburgh between Roethlisberger and Brady.
- 43:23Speaker 2: That is it.
- 43:24Speaker 5: Before that, you'd have to go back to the nineteen
- 43:26Speaker 5: seventy six AFC title game to find another one. So
- 43:30Speaker 5: this week, no one believes in the Broncos and it continues.
- 43:33Speaker 5: So that is a number that you haven't seen before.
- 43:36Speaker 5: I thought that was a little bit fun.
- 43:38Speaker 4: Two thousand and five the Broncos with a team that
- 43:40Speaker 4: was on the winning that was they were on another
- 43:42Speaker 4: winning streak.
- 43:43Speaker 5: Right, I'd have to check, But that was the AFC
- 43:46Speaker 5: title game, So that was the last time.
- 43:47Speaker 6: I did a few queries to check it out, was it?
- 43:49Speaker 4: Yeah? But I think it was Steelers at the Broncos.
- 43:54Speaker 5: Well, in the two thousand and five AFC title game
- 43:56Speaker 5: was Roethlisberger Brady Steelers Patriots.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Oh so the two thousand and four season.
- 44:04Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I do. When you talk about like
- 44:06Speaker 6: five title game, it's four to.
- 44:07Speaker 4: Five, gotchah. Yeah, so that I'm trying to remember that game.
- 44:14Speaker 5: It was a forty one to twenty seven Pittsburgh closed
- 44:16Speaker 5: plus two and a half.
- 44:17Speaker 4: So that's just oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember
- 44:19Speaker 4: that game. Now, Okay, I.
- 44:21Speaker 5: Think the other one everyone will point to, and honestly
- 44:24Speaker 5: that the four.
- 44:24Speaker 6: O'clock slate this week is so loaded and so much fun.
- 44:27Speaker 5: You've got the indie game where you know, anything could happen,
- 44:30Speaker 5: Green Bay, Denver, Detroit, the Rams. But you got to
- 44:33Speaker 5: mention the fact that the Panthers are goddamn road favorites
- 44:36Speaker 5: in a game they've lost eleventh.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Street as a favorite, and that's.
- 44:40Speaker 6: The longest streak in NFL history, so that one's always fun.
- 44:44Speaker 5: There's there's just I gotta say this for doing this
- 44:47Speaker 5: primer and doing this work for like a decade plus
- 44:50Speaker 5: at Action, these weeks with no buys are brutal. There's
- 44:54Speaker 5: a lot of damn content. So this thing's full stuck.
- 44:58Speaker 6: He is shaking his head because he knows exactly go
- 45:00Speaker 6: this and.
- 45:00Speaker 4: All the balls. It's I'm losing my mind.
- 45:04Speaker 6: But there's a lot of good stuff in there. But
- 45:06Speaker 6: that's what I've got this week.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Shout out to the legends that get all the work
- 45:09Speaker 1: done for us over at actionnetwork dot com. We appreciate

- 45:16Speaker 1: that is out there. It's endless over on the website
- 45:18Speaker 1: and on the app. Before we cut you loose, Evan,
- 45:20Speaker 1: you mentioned that Lions Rams games. That's an interesting one line,
- 45:24Speaker 1: tilting between minus five and a half and minus six
- 45:28Speaker 1: on the La Rams. People are going to want to
- 45:30Speaker 1: bet the shit out of that game. Is there anything
- 45:33Speaker 1: that you see trend wise that would point you in
- 45:37Speaker 1: either direction?
- 45:38Speaker 5: I mean, I got an easy one for you as
- 45:39Speaker 5: a dog of four points or more, Golf and Campbell
- 45:41Speaker 5: are seventeen and three against the Spreads.
- 45:44Speaker 6: Try going away from that one.
- 45:46Speaker 4: Yeah it's not the same Lions team. Oh it ain't.
- 45:49Speaker 6: And also, come on you look at the other side.
- 45:51Speaker 5: I can play this game all day, but the Rams
- 45:54Speaker 5: and McVeigh in December sixteen and three ats last nineteen.
- 45:57Speaker 6: So I'll give you whatever you want.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Guys, Okay, go in either direction with that, use the
- 46:01Speaker 1: trends to your advantage or at least to help make
- 46:05Speaker 1: your arguments. Go and check it out an Action Network.
- 46:08Speaker 1: What does that stuck? Paint your own narrative, Hey, exactly
- 46:12Speaker 1: make it.
- 46:12Speaker 2: So what I like to do is make the bet
- 46:14Speaker 2: and then paint the narrative.
- 46:15Speaker 1: So whichever direction you need to go into to make
- 46:19Speaker 1: you feel better about the wager that got you to
- 46:21Speaker 1: the window.
- 46:22Speaker 2: That's going to do it.
