- 1:02Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in hour number two of o TV.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Here live from the Raising Knees Studio. Of course, our

- 1:16Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:17Speaker 3: LSU football had a scrimmage over the weekend, and our
- 1:21Speaker 3: investigative reporter Taylor Sharp was out there for the full scrimmage.
- 1:26Speaker 4: He did not leave early.
- 1:27Speaker 3: He didn't Christian Bale like Handy did, and he just
- 1:31Speaker 3: leave early, gonna miss something.
- 1:34Speaker 5: In fairness, I wanted to, but you didn't. I didn't well,
- 1:37Speaker 5: I didn't know if they were gonna let us out,
- 1:39Speaker 5: and I got scared for a little bit.
- 1:40Speaker 6: But you didn't.
- 1:41Speaker 5: I like to watch this.
- 1:43Speaker 7: Lane insists that you stayed for the last drive by
- 1:47Speaker 7: insists it means we're gonna lock you in.
- 1:53Speaker 5: No, it was uh not a great day for the offense.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Guys.
- 1:57Speaker 5: They have seen better days. Five interceptions between Who's on
- 2:01Speaker 5: Long Street and Land and Clark and uh for the
- 2:03Speaker 5: first time, I actually thought long Street played a little
- 2:05Speaker 5: bit better than Land and Clark. Just neither of them
- 2:08Speaker 5: were great, just less less mistakes, I guess overall for
- 2:13Speaker 5: long Street, out of the five interceptions, Clark did throw
- 2:16Speaker 5: three of them.
- 2:16Speaker 2: You were a little bit more passionate about this at
- 2:18Speaker 2: commercial break.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Well, sure, I mean, you know, there's there's certain FCC
- 2:25Speaker 5: violations that don't apply during break, but you know, just
- 2:29Speaker 5: a bad day, sloppy day. They did have officials out
- 2:32Speaker 5: there because it was a you know, technically a scrimmage,
- 2:34Speaker 5: so a lot of holding penalties. And that might be
- 2:37Speaker 5: my biggest negative takeaway as the offensive line is still
- 2:40Speaker 5: kind of bad, Like they're bad, especially against that first
- 2:44Speaker 5: team unit. Like the second team out line wasn't quite
- 2:46Speaker 5: as bad going against the second team defense. But that
- 2:49Speaker 5: first team out line couldn't run block. I mean, and
- 2:53Speaker 5: you'd seen it the receivers on the outside when they
- 2:55Speaker 5: were trying to pitch the ball on the outside, they
- 2:58Speaker 5: kept run block. I mean, it's it's something that is
- 3:00Speaker 5: definitely a work in progress. Like it looked pretty similar, is.
- 3:04Speaker 7: That from the offensive pl When you say the offensive
- 3:07Speaker 7: line play wasn't very good.
- 3:08Speaker 5: That like their past blocking was better than their run blocking,
- 3:12Speaker 5: but not great, but better there there wasn't a ton
- 3:15Speaker 5: of room to run between the tackles and and really
- 3:17Speaker 5: on the edge as well. So that's that's a negative
- 3:21Speaker 5: for me. Positives this defense is really good and the
- 3:25Speaker 5: defensive secondary is is really good. I mean, you got
- 3:28Speaker 5: Woodland picket on the outside. I could I don't know
- 3:31Speaker 5: if they got a d ball completed on them all afternoon.
- 3:34Speaker 5: And then you know, Cooley's great. Benfield looks like a
- 3:37Speaker 5: stud at safety. We talked about him a ton. Your
- 3:40Speaker 5: favorite spot, the star Deshaun Spears looks right at home there.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I mean this was like the first like how could
- 3:45Speaker 2: you tell us a star because.
- 3:47Speaker 5: He was lined up inside in the in the slot. Okay,
- 3:51Speaker 5: and it's not a nickel, it's it's a star. In
- 3:53Speaker 5: Blake Baker's defense. Uh, he looks great there. It was
- 3:56Speaker 5: our first like you know, extended like two hour window
- 3:58Speaker 5: we got to see of him there. He looks great.
- 4:00Speaker 5: I mean he's flying down, making tackles at the line
- 4:03Speaker 5: of scrimmage. Was everywhere on the defense. So that's probably
- 4:06Speaker 5: my biggest positive and negative. Defense definitely won the day.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Only concern for the defense. Second team secondary is a
- 4:14Speaker 5: work in progress. So like you're you're starting four or
- 4:17Speaker 5: five everyone to everyone to put it looks really really good.
- 4:20Speaker 5: There's a there's a little bit of a drop off
- 4:22Speaker 5: behind him, but overall they were really good.
- 4:26Speaker 7: I think at this point of the year. I think
- 4:32Speaker 7: you it'd be very strange if the defense was not
- 4:36Speaker 7: well ahead of the offense. The defense should be, they
- 4:41Speaker 7: should be crushing.
- 4:42Speaker 3: In most football situations that's the case, but in this one,
- 4:48Speaker 3: when you have basically your entire defensive staff back missing
- 4:53Speaker 3: like one person from a year ago, and you have
- 4:56Speaker 3: a bulk of your defense back that was here as well,
- 5:00Speaker 3: Like you did a really good job of retaining those players.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Yeah, the offense, Now, if the offense is going down
- 5:05Speaker 4: there and lighting it.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Up, I'd be a little worried.
- 5:08Speaker 7: I'd be more worried than I am now, Like there
- 5:10Speaker 7: are zero alarm bells sounded in my head from here
- 5:13Speaker 7: in a practice report where the offense that now, I
- 5:17Speaker 7: don't know the specifics, like if I specifically go The
- 5:20Speaker 7: biggest thing that concerned me when you were talking was
- 5:23Speaker 7: the offensive line. So I kind of asked you, like
- 5:25Speaker 7: what specifically about it. Run blocking, I'm okay with it
- 5:29Speaker 7: not being real clean. You never really run the ball
- 5:32Speaker 7: great in a scrimmage anyway. The defense is seeing the
- 5:34Speaker 7: same running plays every single day, right, It's not like
- 5:37Speaker 7: you're going to scheme up against trying to install.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Something for a scrimmage. So that's okay.
- 5:45Speaker 7: Like if now, if they were losing a bunch of
- 5:47Speaker 7: one on one pass rush battles a bit, all right,
- 5:50Speaker 7: well that's got to get fixed. But I got no
- 5:53Speaker 7: alarm bells. From an offensive standpoint, the defense should absolutely
- 5:57Speaker 7: be ahead. They're usually always are ahead in a spring
- 6:00Speaker 7: or a training camp, but specifically in a situation where
- 6:03Speaker 7: you're installing a completely new offense, You're you're doing something
- 6:07Speaker 7: that probably none of these guys have ever done before,
- 6:10Speaker 7: which is go at the speed of which Lane Kiffen
- 6:12Speaker 7: likes to go. And then and of course the defensive
- 6:16Speaker 7: there's the defensive staff, there's you know, there's a lot
- 6:19Speaker 7: of consistency there, there's a lot of consistent players from
- 6:22Speaker 7: last year.
- 6:22Speaker 2: It's they're gonna be ahead.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I mean, that's I was talking about one of the
- 6:25Speaker 3: offensive coaches the other day when I went over had
- 6:27Speaker 3: to go to the building for something.
- 6:29Speaker 4: I just hey, how's it going. He's like, well, you know,
- 6:32Speaker 4: it's new.
- 6:32Speaker 3: It's new for the they have to embrace the suck
- 6:35Speaker 3: of how fast they go and then thrive in it.
- 6:39Speaker 3: He said, that's what we're working on right now. That's
- 6:41Speaker 3: the part of it that we are hammering home right now,
- 6:43Speaker 3: Like right now, you're gonna be tired.
- 6:45Speaker 4: That's gonna get fixed.
- 6:46Speaker 3: And the more we do this, the more you know,
- 6:48Speaker 3: we implement all of our things, but also like you
- 6:51Speaker 3: have to thrive.
- 6:52Speaker 4: That's why we do it.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Like you got to thrive when you're going fast and
- 6:57Speaker 3: you're a little tired, they're worn out. Said, that's the
- 7:00Speaker 3: process that they're in right now is trying to get
- 7:03Speaker 3: them up to speed with the speed of this offense.
- 7:05Speaker 3: And if you ever go back and watch old mess,
- 7:08Speaker 3: there's no celebrating first downs, there's no talking trash after
- 7:12Speaker 3: the play. Go watch their receivers. They'll catch one on
- 7:15Speaker 3: the sideline, end up in like the gatorade section, my
- 7:19Speaker 3: high section, and then they'll like quickly like run the
- 7:23Speaker 3: ball to the official.
- 7:25Speaker 4: That that's kind of how it was on Saturday. That's
- 7:29Speaker 4: a part of it.
- 7:31Speaker 5: And to y'all's point about you should be concerned if
- 7:33Speaker 5: the offense is ahead of the defense. This is my
- 7:36Speaker 5: fourth off season going to Lash practices. The only one
- 7:40Speaker 5: where the offense was ahead of the defense was Jaden Daniels,
- 7:43Speaker 5: my league neighbors and Briant Thomas and you had the
- 7:45Speaker 5: best offense in the country and the absolute worst defense.
- 7:48Speaker 5: So that was the only time that the offense was
- 7:51Speaker 5: ever ahead of the defense.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I don't really ever remember any team I really was
- 7:55Speaker 2: on now. I don't know.
- 7:57Speaker 7: You know, there's certainly a lot of times where they're
- 7:59Speaker 7: went like a big gap between it was pretty evenly matched,
- 8:02Speaker 7: but where the offense just goes out and dominates. I mean,
- 8:06Speaker 7: don't you gotta think like you are on a defense
- 8:09Speaker 7: You're seeing for five straight days, you're seeing the same.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Plays over and over and over and over and over,
- 8:16Speaker 2: and then.
- 8:16Speaker 7: You go to scrimmage and you're seeing the same plays
- 8:18Speaker 7: that you just saw the five days before that.
- 8:20Speaker 2: So it's not like you should win a lot of it.
- 8:24Speaker 6: Now.
- 8:24Speaker 7: The things that concern me are how why they struggled
- 8:28Speaker 7: or why the defense was better. That's why we asked
- 8:32Speaker 7: about the offensive line. Are they just getting beat one
- 8:33Speaker 7: on one? I get it. If you can't run the
- 8:35Speaker 7: ball whatever, that's fine. Like the defensive line, they know,
- 8:38Speaker 7: they know where to fill, they know the reads and
- 8:40Speaker 7: all that stuff.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Some of the things you were telling me about the quarterbacks,
- 8:45Speaker 2: we're a little bit concerning.
- 8:47Speaker 7: Overthrows, just like physically misted, like missed opportunities or misthrows.
- 8:54Speaker 7: That's one of those things you're like, well, we got
- 8:55Speaker 7: we gotta clean that up. That needs to get better.
- 8:57Speaker 7: Like you're talking about they look good stepping up in
- 8:59Speaker 7: the pocket, but airmailing some throws, which it's going to happen,
- 9:04Speaker 7: especially when you're playing at a really fast pace. But
- 9:08Speaker 7: certainly a lot of things that cleaned up. So like
- 9:11Speaker 7: let's specifically go You said that Hassan had the better
- 9:14Speaker 7: day probably the first day he's outplayed, Landed less less less.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Really bad throws from long Street, Like long Street looked
- 9:22Speaker 5: really good outside the numbers, like throwing a fade. He
- 9:25Speaker 5: was bad in the middle of the field. Okay, kind
- 9:27Speaker 5: of flipped for Land and Clark the middle of the field,
- 9:30Speaker 5: Like it's weird. Clark almost seems comfortable in chaos when
- 9:33Speaker 5: the pocket breaks down, he can get out of the pocket.
- 9:35Speaker 5: I thought he did great stepping up in the pocket.
- 9:37Speaker 5: He air mailed two bad interceptions to a crossing route
- 9:41Speaker 5: that was it was open. Then he tried to squeeze
- 9:44Speaker 5: in one it wasn't there. He airmailed that one as well,
- 9:47Speaker 5: So like he did good avoiding the rush. It was
- 9:50Speaker 5: just he almost rushed his throat after that. He didn't
- 9:53Speaker 5: need to. So, just some things to clean up. But
- 9:55Speaker 5: I mean, you can playing a little fast, huh. The
- 9:58Speaker 5: the athletic abilities there, he can run a little bit too,
- 10:01Speaker 5: Like that's that's not the concern. It's just yeah, slowing down,
- 10:05Speaker 5: you know, calming down a little bit. But he looks
- 10:08Speaker 5: comfortable out there. He just he could have rushed the
- 10:10Speaker 5: throw a few times. But he'll get it cleaned up
- 10:13Speaker 5: as far as receivers go.
- 10:14Speaker 7: Wait, he took a little bit too much pre work out.
- 10:16Speaker 7: He may have may have may have been a little
- 10:18Speaker 7: bit juice. You know, Lanta Clark's a pre workout guy.
- 10:20Speaker 5: He looks like a pre workout guy. Definitely looks like
- 10:22Speaker 5: arm sleeve. The look he swagged out out there. Man,
- 10:25Speaker 5: no lack of slide.
- 10:26Speaker 4: I don't make creating to sit on the shelves, Bud.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure, no doubt.
- 10:30Speaker 5: We've talked a lot about the top three receivers. Hey,
- 10:33Speaker 5: it was the same on Saturday. It was Winston Watkins,
- 10:37Speaker 5: Jackson Harris, who I think is going to be really good. Uh,
- 10:40Speaker 5: and Malik Elsey who did drop a few balls. I
- 10:42Speaker 5: thought Jason Brown rotating in maybe was a little bit better.
- 10:46Speaker 5: But Roman mother Shed is gaining some ground. Like they
- 10:49Speaker 5: threw his way a walt lot. He ran mostly with
- 10:51Speaker 5: the twos, but on the roster he is six five
- 10:54Speaker 5: two ten. You don't have another guy like that. He
- 10:57Speaker 5: looked good in his one on ones as well. He's
- 11:00Speaker 5: gonna play a little bit. He's the trolley transfer. Just
- 11:03Speaker 5: you don't have a guy with a body like that
- 11:05Speaker 5: outside of him, So I thought, I thought he stood
- 11:07Speaker 5: out a little bit.
- 11:07Speaker 4: I think the receivers need to continue to go up
- 11:09Speaker 4: a bit.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Yep.
- 11:10Speaker 3: I mean last year again we talked about it like
- 11:12Speaker 3: you had a really good group that you didn't maximize
- 11:16Speaker 3: and this is a different group. That group is got
- 11:18Speaker 3: different skill sets in the group you had last year,
- 11:20Speaker 3: Like it'd been interesting to see if you had the
- 11:22Speaker 3: group last year. This year you got a lot of
- 11:25Speaker 3: bodies though, And we talked about the other day like
- 11:27Speaker 3: at some point you got to start to figure out
- 11:29Speaker 3: who can help you, who can play, And you know,
- 11:31Speaker 3: it's got to go down to six, and then it's
- 11:33Speaker 3: got to go down to five, and then it's got
- 11:34Speaker 3: to go down to four.
- 11:35Speaker 4: And I look, more than four are gonna play.
- 11:37Speaker 3: But I'm saying of guys that you can count on,
- 11:38Speaker 3: Guys you can trust when you call eleven personnel, I'd
- 11:41Speaker 3: like to know who that's going to be when you
- 11:43Speaker 3: get ready for the first game. So you got a
- 11:45Speaker 3: lot of time to get there, but so many different options.
- 11:48Speaker 3: You do want to kind of start to hone in
- 11:50Speaker 3: on who you think can help you.
- 11:51Speaker 5: Trey is gonna catch a lot of balls in this offense,
- 11:54Speaker 5: a lot of passes he went to him a lot.
- 11:57Speaker 2: You'll start whittling those reps down. But it's not gonna
- 11:59Speaker 2: be till through.
- 12:00Speaker 7: Training camp, no doubt, no doubt. I mean maybe a
- 12:02Speaker 7: little bit towards like second week of training.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Camp and then game. You know, ten days out of
- 12:08Speaker 3: come so and you're all right, here's our eleven person.
- 12:10Speaker 7: Yeah, we talked about this tailor and I did I
- 12:12Speaker 7: think when I think it was last Monday, when y'all
- 12:14Speaker 7: were out, we talked about how it was just like
- 12:16Speaker 7: you don't want it was like a month ago. We
- 12:21Speaker 7: talked about how equal reps for everybody in spring, equal
- 12:26Speaker 7: wraps for everybody in summer, and at the beginning of
- 12:28Speaker 7: training camp, because you don't really know how somebody is
- 12:32Speaker 7: going to perform in a brand new offense with new
- 12:35Speaker 7: terminology until they completely learned that brand new offense.
- 12:38Speaker 2: It become fluent within that system.
- 12:41Speaker 7: Like one kid can be ultimately talented, but he doesn't
- 12:45Speaker 7: show that talent because he's thinking so much. But once
- 12:48Speaker 7: you get him past the thinking of overthinking portion, then
- 12:51Speaker 7: his talent can really shine. You might have somebody that
- 12:53Speaker 7: can handle the thinking and playing a little bit better,
- 12:57Speaker 7: but it might not be as talented or as good,
- 12:58Speaker 7: so he looks better early on. So you really have
- 13:01Speaker 7: to wait in this offense to see who's going to
- 13:03Speaker 7: thrive in a lane Kiffen offense. Once everybody's fluent in
- 13:08Speaker 7: talking to talk, walking the walk, and you're not going
- 13:10Speaker 7: to know that right now quarterback standpoint, from a receiver standpoint,
- 13:14Speaker 7: from like everybody on offense, you're just not going to
- 13:17Speaker 7: know that, so you don't make decisions right now. And
- 13:19Speaker 7: we talked about like coming out of spring. It's all
- 13:22Speaker 7: about it's all about your pole position. All you're trying
- 13:24Speaker 7: to do is this is a qualification round just for
- 13:27Speaker 7: the real competition that's ahead. This is not the competition
- 13:30Speaker 7: right now. They're just they're vying for pole position going
- 13:33Speaker 7: into summer, and that.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Is absolutely it.
- 13:36Speaker 7: But until everybody gets ingrained in this new system in
- 13:40Speaker 7: the terminology, you're not going.
- 13:42Speaker 2: To see a clear cut start.
- 13:43Speaker 7: Besides tradees, you're not going to see a clear cut
- 13:46Speaker 7: starter that is going to go out there and be like, yep,
- 13:48Speaker 7: that's our guy.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Now, you might have a.
- 13:50Speaker 7: Really good idea about some people, but you might have
- 13:52Speaker 7: a guy that didn't make a play in spring and
- 13:56Speaker 7: all of a sudden he feels better in the offense.
- 13:59Speaker 7: He's not over thinking it, he's not thinking about five
- 14:01Speaker 7: different things before every before the quarterback says hut or
- 14:04Speaker 7: claps or whatever that they're.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Going to be doing, it's a it's a it's a clap.
- 14:08Speaker 2: It's a clap, and it's awful.
- 14:11Speaker 5: You ever watched Jackson Darts Gruden QB camp last year.
- 14:15Speaker 7: Yeah, it was a clap for him. And I just
- 14:17Speaker 7: watched Carson Becken.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Goes, what do you do when you're going on too,
- 14:23Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 14:24Speaker 7: You just fake clap anyway, It's plain. I don't respect
- 14:28Speaker 7: the clap. Coun just want you to know it's not you,
- 14:30Speaker 7: it's me, I'm sure. But everybody, nobody, nobody, nobody does
- 14:35Speaker 7: you know, speaks with their mouth anymore.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Anyway. That's why it just just be.
- 14:42Speaker 7: It's a cautionary tale in spring spring ball, don't overreact
- 14:46Speaker 7: to anything, whether it's positive or negative, because it's all
- 14:50Speaker 7: gonna change. They're just vye for pole position right now,
- 14:52Speaker 7: and you're gonna see talent, but you're gonna have guys
- 14:55Speaker 7: that are going to that might not have had a
- 14:57Speaker 7: great spring that are gonna be huge playmakers for you
- 15:00Speaker 7: once they get once they get into this offense a
- 15:03Speaker 7: little bit more so, real.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Quick, last point. Tate running backs.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean Harlem Berry's the number one. Look, Katon Durham,
- 15:14Speaker 5: he has a role on this team. I think Dylan
- 15:15Speaker 5: Jones was going to play a lot the Wisconsin transfer.
- 15:19Speaker 5: They really like him a little bit on kick return.
- 15:22Speaker 5: We didn't see a ton of that, but he was
- 15:23Speaker 5: in the offense a lot. They really like him on shortyardage.
- 15:26Speaker 5: So that's a that's a three headed backfield, not a two.
- 15:29Speaker 5: I mean that guy's going to point yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I mean, look, we've had a five man rotation on
- 15:36Speaker 3: national championship teams, three of them. Now one didn't win one,
- 15:41Speaker 3: but like twenty eleven, they got there and they had
- 15:43Speaker 3: a big rotation.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Nineteen is the only one that didn't have heavy rotation.
- 15:47Speaker 3: All right, we'll step away more OTB when we come
- 15:49Speaker 3: back here live from the Raising King studio.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 15:53Speaker 4: All right, if you're.

- 18:59Speaker 3: baseball there is there in Oxford, Mississippi. Over the weekend,
- 19:03Speaker 3: we're also going to do our OTB mock draft, and
- 19:06Speaker 3: so in the nine o'clock hour, we are going to
- 19:09Speaker 3: each have a pick. We're just gonna go one, two, three, four,
- 19:12Speaker 3: and just keep on going till we get to thirty two.
- 19:15Speaker 4: It's gonna be the last hour of the show. So
- 19:17Speaker 4: looking forward to that. Be on the clock.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Can't wait to get on the clock. So many trades,
- 19:25Speaker 2: no no trades today. I'm offering trades like.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Bill Belichick, Like you just want to keep trading back.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I want people. I'm sorry, that's probably a good comp.
- 19:34Speaker 4: You're the anti Mick mm hmm.
- 19:37Speaker 5: How are we deciding draft order?
- 19:40Speaker 2: Will? Oh?
- 19:42Speaker 4: Yeah, you spend a while.
- 19:44Speaker 5: I still got it in Like, whoever's first, I could
- 19:46Speaker 5: take their name Marble.
- 19:47Speaker 4: I was just gonna go youngest to oldest, so me.
- 19:50Speaker 9: First, and so I'm picking for the Raiders, gonna.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Be right, Yeah, I say we just go one, two, three, four.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Because Jake one a fourth?
- 20:01Speaker 5: Who's fourth?
- 20:04Speaker 2: Because he would also get eight?
- 20:06Speaker 4: Ah, the Cowboys are twelve.
- 20:09Speaker 7: He's already played the whole draft price, he's already done
- 20:12Speaker 7: forty five mocked.
- 20:13Speaker 9: I forgot. I was gonna do some serious research this weekend.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Will then we do Will? I really don't know because
- 20:20Speaker 4: I don't feel like mustache over here. Yeah, so we'll
- 20:26Speaker 4: do it.
- 20:27Speaker 6: Will.
- 20:27Speaker 2: He's kind of rigging it. O.
- 20:29Speaker 9: Hey, I was gonna do hell of research.
- 20:31Speaker 4: I did none.
- 20:32Speaker 9: I forgot.
- 20:32Speaker 4: We were forgot.
- 20:33Speaker 5: It is kind of horrid, though, because you don't know
- 20:35Speaker 5: that's gonna do the game of the weekend. It's you're you're.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Good to remind us.
- 20:39Speaker 7: You know that we need four reminders minimum.
- 20:44Speaker 2: It was beautiful weather this week. You know it's gonna
- 20:46Speaker 2: be outside playing.
- 20:47Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, baseball and soft on saturdayday. But you know,
- 20:52Speaker 7: like they played the normal schedule. It's like one game
- 20:55Speaker 7: in the day. Actually not the normal schedule anymore.
- 20:59Speaker 3: I I know you're trying to make fun of travel baseball,
- 21:02Speaker 3: and I get it, I am, but it's nothing normal schedule.
- 21:05Speaker 2: That is true. You read that correctly.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. What are you gonna do with Hucks?
- 21:11Speaker 3: Like, hey, dad, Like there's this team I saw and
- 21:13Speaker 3: they told me they played like three games.
- 21:16Speaker 4: In one day and that sounds fun?
- 21:17Speaker 6: Can I do that?
- 21:17Speaker 4: What are you gonna tell him?
- 21:18Speaker 2: Yeah? Absolutely?
- 21:21Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 21:21Speaker 2: Yeah why not?
- 21:22Speaker 6: Okay?
- 21:23Speaker 7: I mean I still make fun of everybody. Can't wait,
- 21:27Speaker 7: I'll make fun of all the herd is to take
- 21:29Speaker 7: away too seriously, Like, yah, I'll.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Make fun of it.
- 21:31Speaker 3: I make fun of that, like a little better scholarship,
- 21:36Speaker 3: Like why are you yelling at that guy's nine?
- 21:41Speaker 5: So like get the likes so like.
- 21:43Speaker 3: It is funny it happened this weekend. Like if a
- 21:46Speaker 3: guy if an umpire misses, you know the guy was
- 21:50Speaker 3: safe out what okay, Like he's getting paid fifty five
- 21:52Speaker 3: bucks a game you miss if his strike zones terrible,
- 21:55Speaker 3: like you're gonna be like, come guy, can we clean
- 21:57Speaker 3: it up a little bit? We had this weekend where
- 21:59Speaker 3: the umbar just weren't paying attention, like didn't know the rules,
- 22:04Speaker 3: like basic knowledge of baseball. Like there was one that
- 22:09Speaker 3: hit the plate, came back up, hit our guy in
- 22:13Speaker 3: the box and he's like it's in play, Like no,
- 22:16Speaker 3: it's literally never gone fair.
- 22:18Speaker 4: That literally it's literally not gone.
- 22:21Speaker 7: Fair yet there's this white line. It's right there and
- 22:24Speaker 7: they chalk it every game.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Had no he had no idea. He's like what and
- 22:28Speaker 3: then he like he just then he looked off the
- 22:30Speaker 3: right field and wasn't listening anymore. It's like guys, like
- 22:34Speaker 3: if you miss calls, Look, it's a it's a youth
- 22:37Speaker 3: baseball game. You're going to miss calls, you know, But like,
- 22:40Speaker 3: can we pay attention because you're kind of stealing money
- 22:42Speaker 3: right now? You and the Yankees hat if you're listening,
- 22:45Speaker 3: you know exactly what I'm talking to.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Sounds like you might have been little dehydrated.
- 22:51Speaker 3: He needed something hydration and a clue. Anyhow, I'm with you.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Like the ones that yell at nine year olds. I'm like, yeah, yeah,
- 23:03Speaker 3: I promise you they tried to catch that.
- 23:05Speaker 2: They're trying so hard. I'm telling you, yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Mental, you know me, Like the only thing that I
- 23:11Speaker 3: ever get is like mental like things that you've gone
- 23:14Speaker 3: over a hundred times and you just like, are not
- 23:19Speaker 3: in it. If you're in a day, if you strike out, Yeah,
- 23:22Speaker 3: a lot of people in the big league strike out.
- 23:24Speaker 7: And it's the one thing about coaching kids or parenting
- 23:29Speaker 7: kids that drives me crazy. And it's indifference. That's the
- 23:34Speaker 7: one thing I'm gonna get upset. Okay, I'll tell you
- 23:37Speaker 7: I've got two things, indifference and lack a hustle. Oh,
- 23:40Speaker 7: I can't take a kid walking meek dug out. I
- 23:44Speaker 7: can't take it.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I can't. I can't stand it. I can't take it.
- 23:47Speaker 4: And like you know me, times I have to yell
- 23:50Speaker 4: only the mailman walks.
- 23:54Speaker 2: They're nicer than me.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't like, uh you will I say, They're
- 23:59Speaker 3: like you yeah, something, I'm like that, dude. If you're
- 24:02Speaker 3: if you're sprinting, if you're running, if you're engaged, if
- 24:05Speaker 3: you if you take a hack and you strike out,
- 24:07Speaker 3: I'm gonna give you an ad a.
- 24:08Speaker 9: You know what drives me kind of crazy?
- 24:10Speaker 4: I mean, hell yeah, they.
- 24:12Speaker 9: Do it in college base so I'm like in the
- 24:14Speaker 9: MLB two and I get it. But we were always
- 24:17Speaker 9: taught to like run the ball out, no matter if
- 24:19Speaker 9: it was a ground ball, if it was a pop out,
- 24:21Speaker 9: Like why are you not full sprinting to the bag
- 24:23Speaker 9: because like on a ground ball it happened to myland
- 24:27Speaker 9: this weekend, Like on a you can beat it out
- 24:29Speaker 9: if they bobble it, and like he saw that they
- 24:31Speaker 9: bobbled it and he hit the Jets after that, and I'm like,
- 24:34Speaker 9: why weren't you doing that to begin with? Like I
- 24:36Speaker 9: don't know that kind of bothers me. Or when they
- 24:39Speaker 9: strike out, when they strike out and they would like
- 24:41Speaker 9: walk back to the dugout, I'm like, you are a
- 24:44Speaker 9: put a little.
- 24:44Speaker 5: Peppy or so like our high school coach used to
- 24:46Speaker 5: be like Fellaws, it's okay to Barnick callery, Yeah, that's
- 24:50Speaker 5: that's where I'm at.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Uh.
- 24:51Speaker 3: To Launch's point, though, like Curiel, like when he hits
- 24:53Speaker 3: it on the ground, he hits a second base, that
- 24:55Speaker 3: sound of a gun is going to try to beat
- 24:57Speaker 3: it out.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Right, He knows he ain't going.
- 24:58Speaker 9: To Yeah, he tries.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Hey, guess what sometimes it we're going to be drafted
- 25:03Speaker 4: before anybody else on this baseball team. If he can
- 25:06Speaker 4: do it, you for sure can do it. I'm talking
- 25:09Speaker 4: to the rest of the team right like that ad And.
- 25:13Speaker 2: It's so simple. It is efforts free.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Yes, And it's like in baseball. It's baseball.
- 25:20Speaker 3: You're not going to run another nine route on the
- 25:21Speaker 3: next play.
- 25:22Speaker 7: Baseball is in like a a hustle batspot in professional baseball.
- 25:26Speaker 7: When players are getting praised during the World Baseball Classic
- 25:30Speaker 7: for running hard to space, this is so different.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 25:35Speaker 7: Look at this guy's hustle. I'm like, what he's running,
- 25:37Speaker 7: he's trying to beat out the what you should do?
- 25:40Speaker 7: That is, yeah, like a hustle. That's so like the
- 25:43Speaker 7: only time I ever get like when I coach kids,
- 25:46Speaker 7: the only thing I ever yell at and get upset about.
- 25:49Speaker 7: And I tell like if I'm coaching team, I tell
- 25:51Speaker 7: the parents on the front end like expectations are and like, wow,
- 25:55Speaker 7: the only reason I would ever try to teach a
- 25:58Speaker 7: kid a lesson is something that it's like a lot
- 26:00Speaker 7: like I call it like a life lesson. Like less
- 26:03Speaker 7: than just your attitude. Yeah, hustle, listening, respect, like all
- 26:07Speaker 7: that stuff. But like to get mad at a kid
- 26:10Speaker 7: for striking out, missing a ground ball, yeah, catching a
- 26:13Speaker 7: pop fly.
- 26:15Speaker 4: Yeah, unless you run up first on a flatball.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Unless they're teenagers, then then you get them. There is
- 26:24Speaker 7: at a certain point you gotta point you flip the
- 26:30Speaker 7: switch a little bit.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Ten and under.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, just a pitch down the middle and the
- 26:36Speaker 3: guy loads up level, swing, takes a hat.
- 26:39Speaker 6: All right, good swing?
- 26:44Speaker 2: Don't you don't do that as an eleven year old though?
- 26:47Speaker 2: It's a fair game. Now, that's when the scholarships are
- 26:49Speaker 2: up for grabs.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Then what about his scholarship to Florida State?
- 26:57Speaker 5: I think I think of you as a dad on
- 26:59Speaker 5: the on the sideline out.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Of the movie.
- 27:00Speaker 5: Then bulls are having the time of their.
- 27:02Speaker 7: Lives getting yelled at, grabbing space man. Good stuff, good
- 27:09Speaker 7: clean fun.
- 27:09Speaker 4: All right, Well, take you break.

- 28:54Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in O TV here live from
- 28:56Speaker 3: the Raizy Canes studio. Every single Monday, I got Will
- 28:59Speaker 3: Helmer's join us here in studio. Check out Louisiana Loaded.
- 29:02Speaker 3: We'll always doing big things there. We always appreciate his
- 29:05Speaker 3: time and I wish there was under better circumstances, but
- 29:10Speaker 3: you know, it's baseball.
- 29:11Speaker 6: It is.
- 29:12Speaker 4: It is baseball. Bad weekend for the Tigers.
- 29:16Speaker 3: You were hoping to go and an Ole Miss team
- 29:18Speaker 3: that was right where you were in the standings and
- 29:20Speaker 3: go be competitive, which you know at times you were
- 29:23Speaker 3: outside of the second game of the series. But right
- 29:26Speaker 3: now there's a lot of things that LSU has to
- 29:29Speaker 3: do right that they're just not getting done.
- 29:31Speaker 10: Yeah, it's just kind of all over the place a
- 29:33Speaker 10: little bit. For the most part. You look at it
- 29:36Speaker 10: and you have the defense, the offense, and you know
- 29:39Speaker 10: the pitching side of it. Those are the three things
- 29:40Speaker 10: in baseball, and one game it's there for one and
- 29:43Speaker 10: the other two it's not.
- 29:44Speaker 6: So you're kind of.
- 29:45Speaker 10: You're functioning on one thing, whether it's offense, defense, are
- 29:48Speaker 10: pitching and sometimes none of them, you know, And so
- 29:51Speaker 10: that's why you see these ups and downs and ups
- 29:53Speaker 10: and downs and late in the innings, and you know,
- 29:56Speaker 10: there's just a lot of things going wrong. It's you know,
- 30:00Speaker 10: it's a fact. You know, baseball's hard. You know, you
- 30:03Speaker 10: hear that all the time. And I've said that, you know,
- 30:05Speaker 10: many many times. It's just it's a difficult thing and
- 30:08Speaker 10: a lot of things got to go right, you know,
- 30:11Speaker 10: it's and it's tough and nothing, you know, it seems
- 30:14Speaker 10: like nothing's going really right for them right now, and
- 30:17Speaker 10: it's just makes it ten times harder.
- 30:19Speaker 6: You know, you got to play.
- 30:21Speaker 10: It comes down you have to play fundamental baseball, like
- 30:23Speaker 10: you can't. You got to do the fundamental things right,
- 30:27Speaker 10: the things that you've been doing since eight years old, right,
- 30:29Speaker 10: you know, And that happened to them a lot this weekend,
- 30:31Speaker 10: you know, where something you know, you know, and.
- 30:34Speaker 6: Not just specific plays.
- 30:36Speaker 10: You have a lot of specific plays that you can pinpoint,
- 30:38Speaker 10: but if you look throughout the entirety of the game,
- 30:41Speaker 10: it's just not there like the fundamental things like you know,
- 30:44Speaker 10: watching third pitch strikes like right down the middle, yeah,
- 30:47Speaker 10: you know, and swinging you know, striking out looking like
- 30:51Speaker 10: a lot of different things, and you can go back
- 30:53Speaker 10: and look and they got to do the fundamental things
- 30:56Speaker 10: right and they're just not right now.
- 30:57Speaker 2: We talked about a little bit about this earlier. It's
- 30:59Speaker 2: like cures everything right.
- 31:02Speaker 7: Winning solves a lot, but it also hides a lot.
- 31:05Speaker 7: So being a former player, do you like even even
- 31:08Speaker 7: in the wins, the winds are fun and we celebrate
- 31:10Speaker 7: them and like heroic efforts when when you do win
- 31:13Speaker 7: and ls you certainly has done that the last couple
- 31:16Speaker 7: of weeks leading up into this past week. Uh, but
- 31:19Speaker 7: like watching it, have you been like, Okay, the win's great,
- 31:23Speaker 7: but they still got to do that? Like what are
- 31:26Speaker 7: the consistent things that you've seen kind of all year
- 31:30Speaker 7: that they just have not been able to clean up.
- 31:33Speaker 10: I think a big part of it is from the mound.
- 31:36Speaker 10: I think you've seen a lot more walk like and
- 31:38Speaker 10: and I like to look back at other years, you know,
- 31:41Speaker 10: and you don't want to do that, but you know,
- 31:43Speaker 10: when when you win, you want to look back at
- 31:45Speaker 10: Like when you win a national championship, that's you want
- 31:47Speaker 10: to repeat that. And so when you look back at
- 31:49Speaker 10: those two years, the past three years, they're walking so
- 31:53Speaker 10: many guys this year, and they're putting guys on base,
- 31:56Speaker 10: Like if you go back to a certain series, you know,
- 32:00Speaker 10: say they walk I don't know, sixteen guys in a weekend,
- 32:02Speaker 10: which just happened. You know, in three games, they're walking
- 32:05Speaker 10: sixteen guys, which is four runs for a team, you know,
- 32:09Speaker 10: four or five runs for a team.
- 32:10Speaker 6: And that's just on walks.
- 32:12Speaker 10: You're putting free guys on base and letting them have it,
- 32:15Speaker 10: you know, and teams in the SEC take advantage of that,
- 32:17Speaker 10: and they're going to capitalize on your mistakes. And that's
- 32:20Speaker 10: what a lot of teams are doing to them. And
- 32:22Speaker 10: you know, on the flip side of that, they're not
- 32:24Speaker 10: doing that, they're not capitalizing on runners on.
- 32:27Speaker 6: Base, you know.
- 32:29Speaker 10: And then look at the defensive side of things, it's
- 32:31Speaker 10: they're making they're making errors like more than any pretty basic,
- 32:35Speaker 10: pretty basic plays and plays that are controllable. Look in baseball,
- 32:40Speaker 10: you got to control the controllables, you know, and you know,
- 32:43Speaker 10: fielding is a pretty controllable thing. You know, it's a
- 32:47Speaker 10: very repetition based, practice based thing. And they're just not there.
- 32:51Speaker 10: They haven't gone over the edge of being that great
- 32:53Speaker 10: defensive team like you've seen in the past. You look
- 32:56Speaker 10: back at the air count this year, it's way sky
- 32:58Speaker 10: high as opposed to other years, and last year was great.
- 33:01Speaker 10: It's great, you know, and so that's a huge thing.
- 33:04Speaker 10: Like they're just the free runners and that goes you know,
- 33:06Speaker 10: theirs too. You know, you're putting guys on base that
- 33:09Speaker 10: shouldn't be there. Those are sixteen or seventeen more outs
- 33:12Speaker 10: in a weekend. Yeah, that are just there for the taking.
- 33:15Speaker 10: So and they're doing great things too, like you look
- 33:19Speaker 10: back at last weekend and they hit the ball great. Yeah,
- 33:22Speaker 10: there's spurts of you know, super high high highs and
- 33:25Speaker 10: then there's the low low lows. And so they got
- 33:28Speaker 10: to find that that middle spot which is tough.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Well how tough is it too? And we were talking
- 33:33Speaker 3: about this a little bit before we came on. You're
- 33:36Speaker 3: down a starter, you had an injury. You'd like for
- 33:38Speaker 3: somebody to step up and take that over. But now
- 33:41Speaker 3: it's a it's a Johnny whole staff situation on Sunday,
- 33:44Speaker 3: which okay, else you's been there before, they've done that.
- 33:47Speaker 3: But when your guy goes out there to start the
- 33:49Speaker 3: game and it's a third of an inning, like when
- 33:52Speaker 3: when you're knowing that you're gonna throw a lot of
- 33:54Speaker 3: arms probably that day anyways, but the guy off the
- 33:56Speaker 3: top only gives you one out, Like that's got to
- 33:59Speaker 3: be just a devastating for the coaches and the players,
- 34:01Speaker 3: and then the players are probably like, oh man, how
- 34:03Speaker 3: are we going to do this? We're probably gonna throw
- 34:05Speaker 3: a bunch of guys today, Like luckily, like Gidry went
- 34:08Speaker 3: in there and he just had to kind of take
- 34:09Speaker 3: one on the chin.
- 34:10Speaker 6: For the team, right, That's part of it, you know.
- 34:12Speaker 10: It's those Sunday games are like that, especially when you
- 34:15Speaker 10: don't have a third starter. It's going to be that
- 34:18Speaker 10: kitchen sink kind of day where it's just like throw
- 34:21Speaker 10: it in there, you know, like see what happens. And
- 34:24Speaker 10: you know, they they battled, you know, at the end,
- 34:26Speaker 10: and I think Gavin did a great job coming in
- 34:29Speaker 10: and just kind of settling things down and it sparked
- 34:32Speaker 10: back up again in the fourth. But you know, it's
- 34:35Speaker 10: just tough, man Like, baseball is tough, especially those Sunday games,
- 34:40Speaker 10: like you know, and you got a lot of younger
- 34:43Speaker 10: guys going out there and guys who aren't has experienced
- 34:46Speaker 10: in the SEC going out there and trying to you know,
- 34:50Speaker 10: find their way, and it's tough, like Ole Miss is
- 34:52Speaker 10: not an easy place to play it and not an
- 34:54Speaker 10: easy place to figure out what's going on, like you know,
- 34:57Speaker 10: and and so you're walking guys, and that's.
- 35:02Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly. Now it's a real hate fest over there.
- 35:06Speaker 10: You know, I didn't get to play when it was
- 35:07Speaker 10: really I would have loved that. But you know, Ole
- 35:11Speaker 10: Miss is a tough place to play, and trying to
- 35:14Speaker 10: figure it out there as a team is not easy.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Well it's not gonna be easy coming up. I mean,
- 35:19Speaker 3: you got trips to Georgia. You welcome A and M
- 35:22Speaker 3: in Florida to town, but you got to go to Startville.
- 35:25Speaker 3: I mean, no, this is outside of South Carolina.
- 35:28Speaker 10: Look, they're past the easy part of their schedule, you know,
- 35:31Speaker 10: which is it's you know, it is what it is.
- 35:36Speaker 6: You know it's coming like it or not.
- 35:38Speaker 10: They got you know, two more home series or three
- 35:40Speaker 10: more home series left, and they got to capitalize on those,
- 35:44Speaker 10: you know. And and then they go to Georgia. The
- 35:45Speaker 10: best team in the SEC right now in Mississippi State
- 35:48Speaker 10: right behind them. You know, it's as a great team
- 35:51Speaker 10: the SEC and an even tougher place to play. They
- 35:55Speaker 10: got to take advantage of it, you know, and accept
- 35:58Speaker 10: the energy that's coming with it and just play with
- 36:00Speaker 10: some fire.
- 36:01Speaker 2: You know.
- 36:01Speaker 10: It's kind of look around and that energy is a
- 36:04Speaker 10: little down right now, and you can see it even
- 36:06Speaker 10: as a fan and a former player, Like the energy
- 36:09Speaker 10: is just a little down, Like he need some just
- 36:11Speaker 10: you know, they need a little kick in the teeth.
- 36:13Speaker 10: Maybe they might have needed this this weekend and just
- 36:16Speaker 10: go back and.
- 36:16Speaker 3: Because like Matt, like Matt to your point, like they
- 36:19Speaker 3: won two series in a row, and maybe you know
- 36:22Speaker 3: it did hide some things. Will's point got exposed, right
- 36:26Speaker 3: And if you don't if if this.
- 36:28Speaker 10: Doesn't, yeah, exactly, like there's nothing you can do if
- 36:32Speaker 10: they like if this doesn't fire you up a little bit,
- 36:36Speaker 10: like man as a player, former player, like something's got
- 36:40Speaker 10: to change in that locker room a little bit, you know,
- 36:42Speaker 10: as a as a thing where it's like like this
- 36:45Speaker 10: is time, Like it's like nobody's doing anything for us,
- 36:48Speaker 10: you know, Like you can only be coached so much.
- 36:50Speaker 6: Coaches can only do so much.
- 36:51Speaker 10: The players have to go out there and execute and
- 36:53Speaker 10: find the energy and be able to execute, like that's all.
- 36:57Speaker 10: That's all baseball is, in any sport, anything in life,
- 36:59Speaker 10: you know, you got to go out and execute. And
- 37:01Speaker 10: so people, you know, coaches can only do so much
- 37:04Speaker 10: for you, like you know, and it's not like these
- 37:07Speaker 10: they don't.
- 37:07Speaker 6: They want to win just as bad as everybody else,
- 37:10Speaker 6: you know.
- 37:10Speaker 7: And to your point, who's the leader on the team?
- 37:13Speaker 7: I think there's I mean, I don't have to be
- 37:15Speaker 7: just one like it can It can be a lot
- 37:17Speaker 7: of guys. Every team's different. It can be a couple
- 37:19Speaker 7: of guys, but somebody if you ever want to hope
- 37:24Speaker 7: to change anything, and certainly throughout the year, it's the
- 37:27Speaker 7: same issues all season long. Right now, It's been hidden
- 37:30Speaker 7: a few times because of great offensive production, yeah, and
- 37:33Speaker 7: maybe a great pitching out in here or there, But like,
- 37:36Speaker 7: the same issues have been prevalent all year long and
- 37:38Speaker 7: they haven't changed. If you want any hope for the
- 37:41Speaker 7: rest of the season, those things have to change. But
- 37:43Speaker 7: it's got to come from internal, yeah, internal, it has to.
- 37:46Speaker 7: So who are the leaders on this team? I think
- 37:48Speaker 7: there's multiple guys.
- 37:49Speaker 10: You get a guy like Gidury, who's an advanced, you know,
- 37:53Speaker 10: you know, fifth year guy who's been through two national championships,
- 37:56Speaker 10: like he knows the recipe, knows the formula, and a
- 37:59Speaker 10: lot of those guys do, like Cason Evans now all
- 38:02Speaker 10: those guys last Milo, Yeah, I mean they know the
- 38:06Speaker 10: recipe and I don't. I don't know, you know, And
- 38:10Speaker 10: that's such a an internal thing, Like for for me,
- 38:14Speaker 10: it was me like me and some guys who weren't
- 38:17Speaker 10: as prevalent, like it wasn't like you know, guys who
- 38:21Speaker 10: are always in the lineup or whatever.
- 38:22Speaker 6: So it may be like that for them.
- 38:25Speaker 10: I think it's probably Guidry, Jake Brown, you know, those
- 38:28Speaker 10: guys who have who've seen it, who've you've been through this,
- 38:31Speaker 10: Like those guys are there in twenty twenty four when
- 38:33Speaker 10: we kind of sucked, you know, in the season and
- 38:35Speaker 10: figured a way out and figured foind out we're into
- 38:37Speaker 10: a regional and then into a regional championship, Like you know,
- 38:40Speaker 10: it happens in weird ways, and you know, you I
- 38:45Speaker 10: don't know exactly who it is. And it may be
- 38:48Speaker 10: guys who were not even talking about, you know who
- 38:51Speaker 10: who need to step up and need to say something,
- 38:54Speaker 10: you know, because only so much Jay can say, and
- 38:57Speaker 10: you know, Gavin can say and Jake can say, and
- 39:00Speaker 10: maybe another guy who needs to really you know, fire
- 39:02Speaker 10: guys up and let it rip on somebody.
- 39:04Speaker 7: Yeah, let me ask you this from like a specific standpoint,
- 39:07Speaker 7: And I kind of gave you like a metaphorical question,
- 39:10Speaker 7: and let me ask you some they're real specific about,
- 39:12Speaker 7: like some of the issues, some of the issues that
- 39:16Speaker 7: we thought you thought you just talked about, like control
- 39:18Speaker 7: and not being able to walk guys, what if? Like
- 39:21Speaker 7: how has pitch selection been to you in your opinion
- 39:25Speaker 7: on different bat Has pitch selection been an issue on
- 39:28Speaker 7: some of these walks?
- 39:29Speaker 6: You think you mean pitch calling?
- 39:31Speaker 2: Yeah, okay?
- 39:31Speaker 6: From uh, I don't nothing.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Stood out to you?
- 39:35Speaker 10: Nothing stands out to me. Yeah, no, And I don't
- 39:39Speaker 10: know these like everybody's different. You know, some guys change
- 39:41Speaker 10: up works in a two to one count for whatever reason.
- 39:43Speaker 10: And there's so much date it's so data driven now
- 39:46Speaker 10: based off of what this hitter swing does versus my slider,
- 39:50Speaker 10: And it's like and sometimes it gets a little wacky,
- 39:53Speaker 10: like let's go out there and pitch a little bit,
- 39:55Speaker 10: you know, like I'm let me let me beat you
- 39:57Speaker 10: with my fastball, Like let's go back to the the
- 40:00Speaker 10: good old days of baseball where's just me versus you,
- 40:03Speaker 10: you know, and and there's that that hasn't been lost.
- 40:06Speaker 10: But I think the pitch going has been fine. And
- 40:08Speaker 10: I know that it's you know, just from knowing Kochiesky
- 40:12Speaker 10: and you know Jay like there's so much data behind
- 40:15Speaker 10: it and Jamie Tutco like they do this all week
- 40:18Speaker 10: long and figure out what's best. And it's not like
- 40:19Speaker 10: it doesn't work, but if you don't execute your pitch
- 40:23Speaker 10: the way it's called, then it's not gonna work. And
- 40:26Speaker 10: so you know, it's just back again. It comes down
- 40:29Speaker 10: to execution, you know.
- 40:31Speaker 3: All right, let's end this on a high note. That
- 40:34Speaker 3: was not very uplifting. No, what do you have going
- 40:37Speaker 3: on coming up? Louisiana Loaded?
- 40:38Speaker 10: But I was I was looking forward to talking about
- 40:40Speaker 10: this this past weekend for Louisiana Loaded.
- 40:42Speaker 6: We hit Hogs for the cause.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Weekend.
- 40:45Speaker 6: Yeah, it's huge, Hawks for the cost Friday, and then
- 40:48Speaker 6: uh Hondo Rodeo. How was that?
- 40:50Speaker 2: It was.
- 40:51Speaker 6: Great? I mean they had two different rodeos.
- 40:53Speaker 10: And Gola Rodeo was there they did before and then
- 40:56Speaker 10: a huge you know, million dollar rodeo. Some some pretty
- 40:59Speaker 10: cool they had some cool events and you know, Cody Johnson,
- 41:02Speaker 10: Old Dominion Saturday and Creed last night.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Hello there you know.
- 41:09Speaker 6: I did?
- 41:10Speaker 2: Yeah? Are you there last night? I was a first
- 41:14Speaker 2: hand review. Wow, it was incredible.
- 41:16Speaker 6: It was unbelievable. I mean it was just it was Creed.
- 41:19Speaker 10: Yeah, you know, it doesn't get better than that, you say.
- 41:23Speaker 3: So, big week week, a lot of props, big weekend,
- 41:26Speaker 3: and still show up Monday at an eight thirty.
- 41:28Speaker 6: Absolutely, I wouldn't miss it. I wouldn't miss it.

- 41:32Speaker 6: Are?
- 41:32Speaker 4: We taking it slow now this week never can't take.

- 41:41Speaker 3: Uh.
- 41:41Speaker 10: We got some baseball guys coming in, so it actually
- 41:44Speaker 10: interesting to talk to them, get their kind of feeling
- 41:46Speaker 10: on some things and how it's going for them this
- 41:48Speaker 10: season and in the locker room. I guess I kind
- 41:51Speaker 10: of want to get a little better insight tipp A

- 44:14Speaker 3: up in the next hour.
- 44:16Speaker 4: Tat sir, what is that order?
- 44:19Speaker 5: Yeah, completely random. Put all four of our names on
- 44:21Speaker 5: the wheel. A Landra will have the first pick. Take
- 44:24Speaker 5: a pastor pick number two.
- 44:26Speaker 6: All right, all right, all right, at.
- 44:27Speaker 5: Three, it's gonna be Matt Flynn and yours truly. We
- 44:30Speaker 5: have the fourth pick. All right, it's the third pick.
- 44:32Speaker 5: Let's see it's hard.
- 44:34Speaker 3: You shocker A got the cowboys?
- 44:40Speaker 6: Who whoops?
- 44:42Speaker 4: Today's the packers don't have a first round pick.
- 44:48Speaker 7: I can't wait to trade this third pick. It's gonna
- 44:51Speaker 7: be good again. Who wants to trade?
- 44:53Speaker 2: Not me?
- 44:54Speaker 5: No, it's like I am an open four.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Five first rounders for this third pick.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Five.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Here you go, here's five imaginary first picks.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Imagine.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Wait, let's go. I'm so excited. All right, we'll go.
- 45:11Speaker 6: Let's see.
- 45:13Speaker 3: So you get you get the car. I'm just letting
- 45:15Speaker 3: you know. You get the Cardinals looking at it right
- 45:17Speaker 3: here the first time. I'm learning this as we go.
- 45:21Speaker 4: Yeah, and then the commanders, Oh, okay, that's it's gonna go.
- 45:27Speaker 2: I might reunite the LSU quarterback.
- 45:28Speaker 5: We are.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Don't be stupid, we are. We are ten days away,
- 45:35Speaker 4: ten days away. Yeah, we want like we want to
- 45:38Speaker 4: want to be out there in the ether.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Yea, I'm gonna be out there all right.
- 45:41Speaker 4: It's gonna have who picked the pick, so your name's gonna.
- 45:48Speaker 6: Be attached to it.
- 45:49Speaker 2: I might get a wheel going.
- 45:52Speaker 5: You're just gonna put every place name in the wheel
- 45:54Speaker 5: and spind it. That's how you're good drafting.
- 45:55Speaker 4: What is wrong with this man?
- 45:58Speaker 2: I'm excited.
- 46:00Speaker 5: Stay away from Reuben Bain if any all are out
- 46:02Speaker 5: there the tiny t Rex arms.
- 46:03Speaker 2: No, not because of the t Rex arms. Why something
- 46:08Speaker 2: came out of it.
- 46:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't see that he was He was the
- 46:11Speaker 5: driver of a fatal accident back in twenty twenty one.
- 46:14Speaker 5: It just came to light kind of over the weekend
- 46:17Speaker 5: and everything.
- 46:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:17Speaker 9: I just come to say, teams know and they're investigating it.
- 46:21Speaker 5: Ye boy, need to do that after the show bud
- 46:25Speaker 5: you available two.
- 46:30Speaker 4: That prebab didn't come until between ten and two. All Right,
- 46:33Speaker 4: mock draft when we come back here on a TV.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 46:37Speaker 3: All right, go to katz blind dot com, kt OZ
- 46:40Speaker 3: blinds dot com, KZ and Tears Outdoor Living. Brandon Barton
- 46:43Speaker 3: and team been in the game since two thousand and four.
- 46:45Speaker 3: That was a very long time ago. I was in
- 46:47Speaker 3: college back when two thousand and four was happening. And
- 46:51Speaker 3: so you don't stay in business that long unless you're
- 46:53Speaker 3: doing everything the right way, from products that you are
- 46:56Speaker 3: selling and also the customer service that you have. And
- 46:59Speaker 3: that's exactly what they have over at kta z and drapes, shutters, shades,
- 47:03Speaker 3: motorized screens. It's inside, it's outside, it's sometimes both, like
- 47:07Speaker 3: it has been for me. But you'll be blown away
- 47:09Speaker 3: with when they come into your home, they're going to
