Hebrews 11:1-3

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Consider:

I recently watched my 12 year old son get very excited about the possibility of snow…not once, not twice, but three times in one week. He is old enough to know that snow in NC is a bit of a rarity, and when we get excited about a 30% chance we will more than likely feel the sting of disappointment. But…
