- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to the Great Scott of Brothers View Podcast.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Today we're going to be talking about some news, some TV shows we've been watching.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Movies.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: We've both been watching quite a few movies this week.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: I finally got to watch Resident Evil, so we're going to give you that review.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Our watch list reviews.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: You got a fun segment planned?
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, spooky season.
- 0:19SPEAKER_02: So I got a uh fun segment planned out for that.
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: Um we're also going to change our watch list review thing a little bit.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: Um kind of actually take it out and do something different with it before spooky season.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: Um our last episode, trivia episode, was technically October 1st when it came out.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: That's the start of spooky season.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: Spooky season's a big deal for us.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: It's going to be a big deal going forward.
- 0:41SPEAKER_02: So get ready for all the spooky stuff.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: We do have a lot to talk about uh today.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: So we cut out the not top five.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Uh next week we'll bring uh a top five horror movies.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Is that what we want to do?
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Halloween movies?
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: So we'll have that uh next week.
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Halloween movies, not necessarily horror movies, okay.
- 1:00SPEAKER_02: So we'll do that.
- 1:01SPEAKER_02: Um, we'll get right into it.
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: I know we've both been watching lanterns, we can get that out of the way real quick because next week we'll have a full lanterns review.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: After the finale, yeah.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: After the finale.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: So, most recent episode.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: Um had some theories last week that I thought Sinestro was in the box.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: I guess I was kind of right.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: Spoilers for lanterns.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: He wasn't directly in there, but he was in, yeah.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: That part, um I'm starting to lose faith that Hal is actually alive.
- 1:32SPEAKER_02: The more we get into it.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Do you think okay, do you think that uh Jon Stewart is just gonna become the Green Lantern, charge the ring, and then he's just gonna have the projection for however long we see him?
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: I think um people have responded well to Hal Jordan and like him.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: I think the projection will be around for a while.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: It'll be a part of John Stewart's.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I will say I like the projection Hal Jordan better than Hal Jordan is grumpy and older and I get that.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: And I th I think it definitely works.
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so we'll see.
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: Um I thought it was very interesting.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: They have a conversation on the boat when he I don't want to say what's actually said, but how mentions how his dad passed away and John said, Do you think that's what happened to you?
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: Oh, that was tough.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: And then probably my favorite piece of dialogue in the whole show so far was him being like, they went to see Carrie because she loved him and he knew he could trust her.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: So he's like, What do I think about John?
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: And she was like, like your favorite football team that always lets you down.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: You're screaming at the TV week after week, but you always come back because you know you're a fan.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: Because you're a fan.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but that's crazy though.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Like it I wouldn't expect it.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: She's like, 'cause you know, you're a fan.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: Oh my John's just in the background.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: I was like, oh my gosh.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: That was probably my favorite line.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: He was like, okay.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: Like, Carrie killed me, she did it.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: That was crazy.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: She's psycho.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Did you think well that when you were seeing, like, had did you have any suspicion of her?
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Like, before he had said that?
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: No, I don't have to.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: I still don't have any suspicion of her.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: I think he's just.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: That's how young how Jordan would consider someone that's obsessed with or in love with him or whatever.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: I think it I I still I mean.
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: Maybe, I guess.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: If if I if that was the case.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: Just to blame somebody?
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: That could be just a sheriff thing.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: I feel like if it was gonna be her, there would have to have been a reason, and Hal would have either like kind of pushed her to that, like m wanted her to, I guess, or it's a cover-up somehow.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: I don't know how, but like I don't think she would have just done it out of hate.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: I think the only way that Hal would have done it himself, which is what they talk about on the boat, is the only reason is because there's something greater going on and he knew a murder mystery would get John to stay.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: That would be crazy.
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: That's the only reason.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: There's no way I don't think so either.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Um that's what I'm saying.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Like what if it's like a setup getting him to stay.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it's giving true detective vibes.
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: I'm loving it so really?
- 4:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:21SPEAKER_02: True detective is good.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: And so this is back to the show.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: It is kind of giving detective vibes.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: It gets me excited, man.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: I'm ready.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: I heard he was gonna wear the suit in the last one.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: I hope so.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: I hope so too.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: And I hope it ain't the same suit.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: But I called it a couple weeks ago.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: I said it's gonna be like Smallville, where at the very end you see the suit.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: You did say that.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: You did say that.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: That would be cool.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: I would be done.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: And it better be better.
- 4:42SPEAKER_02: It will be, I think.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: I hope so, man.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: It's though so bad.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: Uh well, we'll talk about that more next week.
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: Um you wanna watch anything else other than well, Resident Evil get into um a little bit of Naruto.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: I I am in a weird spot right now.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: A lot there's like a lot of filler that I've skipped.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Um he has Madara has made the infinite Tsukiomi, or however you say it, and so all the people are like in this dream state.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Naruto, Sasuke, Kikashi, Sakura are under the Susuno that Sasuke has made.
- 5:17SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: And but that's not what I'm seeing at the moment.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: I have like ten episodes or so of uh Canon slash Viller, and so it is just Itachi's backstory.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: So it's interesting.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: It is, I like Itachi, but he it's when he's really young.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: So it's like iffy, I don't know.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm still watching it, but it's been harder for me to get through it.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Um it is interesting.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: You see the love that he has for Sasuke even at that age, but also his his willingness and his want to be better and train and stuff.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: So I've been struggling to watch that, but I don't think I've watched much Oh Big Brother.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Big Brother?
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Do you want to talk about that?
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: I know you We can.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: So, spoiler for Big Brother, uh it's it has already came out.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: This was one of my probably favorite seasons in recent memory.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Like, I I don't I can't think of a season that I like better.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Um I know you haven't got the chance to watch the final episode, but you know what happens.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Are you happy?
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: Are you sad?
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: I started at one point started a flip, and I was like, I want to be Barrett or Josh.
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:30SPEAKER_02: Because I do agree that um the whole point of Big Brother is a bunch of strangers.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: D and Devons knew each other, and so obviously they immediately made an alliance, having already known each other and gone through Survivor together.
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: Um, they ran it perfectly, but then it's at one point I was like like was it D, right?
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: Came in after.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: Like she she was immediately HOH.
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: She was H O first HOH, but it was given to her as soon as she walked in.
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: So given to her.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Well, she had to compete for, right?
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: Did she?
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it was Rachel, uh Angela, Rachel the redhead, that got like thrown into the volcano.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: It was her, them, them two and Devons, and they were gonna be the three like uh icons that competed for the HOH, but then Rachel got pushed into the volcano, that's when D got introduced, and then they had a competition for it, and then D won it.
- 7:25SPEAKER_02: So either way, the icons got an advantage versus that's what it was.
- 7:29SPEAKER_02: So eventually I was like, okay, I'm glad Barrett flipped on him and did all that, and then I was rooting for Josh, and they just got keep gone taken down.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: And then I started to feel bad for Drew, kinda, because he literally just did everything he could to do it, and he every time in the last couple episodes, he looked devastated the entire time.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: Like he just looked like he was having a bad time.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: Um But in the end I was like, yeah, Devin's probably deserved to win.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: He definitely did.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Um that I'm not gonna lie, that episode like nearly brought tears to my eyes, the final episode.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: Because I I really like grew to like Drew and I love Drew, and I honestly wanted him to win.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: Because he's so young and like everybody hated him the whole like not hated him, but they always talked on him the whole season.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: I I was I mean, I Devons, I was like, if he wins, I'm that is perfectly fine.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: But if Drew won, that would be really cool too.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: Um and then the way the whole situation plays out in the final episode is so crazy, and it's like so sad.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: But it's I mean, it's so good too, and some of the things that they say, like it makes a lot of sense.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: And I feel like the final um kind of like the questions, like the interview, I guess, for the uh final two, that always kind of solidifies whatever.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: And dude, Devon's was so good.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: You could just Devin's stuff?
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: I haven't heard Taylor's stuff, but I've heard it was bad.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: Taylor's was so she just stood up and said, Thank you so much for asking that question, or like something like that, every single time.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: And then she just kept going back to I was put on the block, I had it so hard.
- 9:05SPEAKER_02: The lyric vote or whatever.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: I yeah, she said that she said that and Melody turned around and looked at Angela and they sort of like laugh and Angela was like, no.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: But they started laughing about it.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it her stuff was not good, and it was all like you know how Haley was?
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: Everything was bad for her the whole time.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: She had such a hard time.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: That's kind of how Taylor, like, that's what she went for, was I had such a hard time in here, but I'm still here.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: And Devons was just like his whole game, and it was I mean, but if he had that much stuff, he did that much stuff, then it's easier to talk about.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: But yeah, he his speeches and stuff are so much better.
- 9:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: He was so good.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad he won.
- 9:44SPEAKER_02: Um That was pretty cool.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: Um Yeah, so I haven't been watching too much.
- 9:50SPEAKER_02: I always watch lanterns.
- 9:52SPEAKER_02: I watched Resident Evil already, give a little bit of my thoughts on it, but now Brandon's watched it so we'll review that.
- 9:56SPEAKER_02: Give a rating.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Give a rating.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Did I not give a rating yet?
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: You did you told me no.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: I had to ask for it, but you said no because you want to wait until I had watched it.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: Gotcha.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Um That's good because I sat on it a little bit.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: And it changed, you think?
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: It did, yeah.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: Um, I haven't set on, so I don't know if mine will change or not.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: We'll get in I'll get into some news real quick before we get into anything else.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: Um just a couple things.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: So we're getting Daredevil season three, but season four was canceled.
- 10:30SPEAKER_02: So season three is the end of Daredevil.
- 10:32SPEAKER_02: Huh?
- 10:32SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: Season four is cancelled.
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: I don't know why, but that's all we're getting.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: What are we gonna when are we gonna see him again?
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: Daredevil?
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: He's in jail.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: Season three.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know if he's gonna be in Secret Wars or anything.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, whoa, whoa, okay, okay.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's no for some reason I was thinking there was two there's only two seasons of Born Again.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: So you they already had plans to make the fourth one.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: Gotcha.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: The third one is gonna come out.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: I'm the one after that gotcha.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I didn't understand what you were saying.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: That makes sense.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: You said season three.
- 11:02SPEAKER_02: Jeremy Renner posted a picture of the purple Hawkeye suit on his Instagram.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: I thought he wasn't gonna be Hawkeye's back.
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: That means that everybody except for Black Widow, who had a sign-off scene at the end of Avengers Endgame, is back.
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: That's tough.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: I loved them, but it uh speaking of that, that's what we'll get into.
- 11:26SPEAKER_02: I hate that, but we'll get into the um I hate that.
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: The Avengers Endgame Encore came out.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: So they re-released Avengers Endgame, had some new scenes, five minutes worth of content.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: Is there okay?
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: I was told that the scenes are not within the movie.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: They're all basically in-credit scenes.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Is that true?
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Except for one.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: There's one that's in it?
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: So we'll start with that one.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: Um Do you know okay, Avengers Avengers Endgame ends with Steve Rogers and Peggy dancing in their house.
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 11:59SPEAKER_02: So that scene happens, and then Loki shows up, knocks on the door, Steve Rogers like hides behind the wall or whatever, they open it, she's like, What are you doing here?
- 12:09SPEAKER_02: And he's like, I can help you both of you.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: That's crazy.
- 12:12SPEAKER_02: Mind you, Steve hasn't seen Loki since 2012's Avengers.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: I mean, surely he's talked to Thor or whatever, and knows that he's rehabilitating stuff, but that last time Captain America saw him, he was the bad guy of the movie.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:28SPEAKER_02: So he shows up, um, it's time god, time, whatever uh, keeper of the time, whatever it is called, Loki.
- 12:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:38SPEAKER_02: He shows up and basically says he can help him.
- 12:41SPEAKER_02: Ruins the end of end game.
- 12:44SPEAKER_02: I think their dance was perfect, and that should have been an in-credit scene.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: The fact that they made it a part of the movie before the credits are all is kind of bad.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: But either way that's just the whole thing with bringing him back in general.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: If you're gonna I mean I'm just not a fan of it.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: I'm not really either.
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: So another thing that happens is there's a part of in the credits you hear the like striking of iron.
- 13:09SPEAKER_02: The Iron Man does.
- 13:11SPEAKER_02: It's a different sound, and it's Doctor Doom.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: I think that's actually pretty freaking.
- 13:18SPEAKER_02: Um But yeah, so it's that uh we get the Bruce Banner scene.
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: Bruce Banner's vlogging, basically, he's like I just had my first freak out in ten years or whatever.
- 13:28SPEAKER_02: I'm in his whatever.
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: So it's after a brand new day, you think?
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: Uh and then he's like he's in like this, he's like isolated himself.
- 13:34SPEAKER_02: Either he has or someone has isolated himself.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: In like a bunker.
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: And then all of a sudden, Doom shows up and says, Um, Mr.
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: Banner, I'm here to collect you.
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: So I my theory is we won't see Hulk or Bruce Banner until Secret Wars, and that's what he's collecting them for, is what I think.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: Um but maybe we'll see him in Doom Day.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: Oh, so like would that be?
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: Was he in the chairs?
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: Huh?
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: I don't think so, but I don't know.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: Maybe he's in Doomsday a little bit.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I think he's collecting them for Secret Wars.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: Taking them to battle wars.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: Like, do you think that scene takes place after Doomsday or is that before and people find out that he's starting to he's already collecting?
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: I think it's before.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: He's collecting people that are isolated off and then getting the groups.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: Um that's pretty cool.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: Someone had pointed on the escape pod actually they're talking about, they pointed out he calls them Mr.
- 14:25SPEAKER_02: Banner because his ego doesn't allow him to call him Doctor.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: I was like, that's pretty good.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: Um, so that's pretty cool.
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: Um do like that scene.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: And then I think my favorite one is it shows the TVA and Miss Minutes and Morbius is back, and an incursion is happening.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: I did not hear about this one.
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: An incursion is happening, and they're acting like it's just another day, like they're like, well, this wasn't on the morning report or whatever.
- 14:51SPEAKER_02: Um, because they've learned how to deal with incursions because they don't want to just prune all the timelines and stuff.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: Um but then all of a sudden it's just like boom, boom, boom, and universes are dying.
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: And it's like they have numbers above them, so people were looking into the number like Earth 616 or whatever.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Uh the Fan Four Stick, Fantastic Four movie that came out, whatever.
- 15:11SPEAKER_02: That universe and the what if universe collide and destroyed.
- 15:14SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: So that was pretty interesting.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: How do you see that?
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Like, what is the how do you know?
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: There was numbers above them on the TV.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, so that's just how you know.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: So stuff like that was really cool.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: That is cool.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: The TV of all those universes.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: That's cool.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: The TVA, I thought it was good for Loki.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: I hope it's not a huge thing in Doomsday.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: I hope like if if they obviously they have to like use it or whatever, but I hope it's not a lot.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: I hope it's just Yeah.
- 15:39SPEAKER_02: I did think that was pretty cool as all the incursions were happening.
- 15:41SPEAKER_02: Obviously, Doctor Doom gets recruited at the end of not Doctor Doom.
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: Doctor Strange gets like recruited at the end of Multiverse of Madness.
- 15:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:48SPEAKER_02: Because of incursions and stuff.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: Um, I think one of my favorite theories is that Steve Rogers going back and living with Pecky is what started everything, and that's gonna be why they brought him back, because he is the catalyst for all that's going on.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: I kind of hate that.
- 16:02SPEAKER_02: I hate I just hate that all they're just everybody's going back.
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: Like there's no consequences for nothing.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Um they they can time travel now.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: They did they did time travel, so it's like yeah, but that's but then they went to Loki to show like if you time travel and mess things up, we have to go and destroy your universe because it causes injuries.
- 16:21unknown: Yeah.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: But so, we'll see.
- 16:23SPEAKER_02: But yeah.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: So those are the couple extra things they added.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Um I think they get like I even though even though like there were they were re-released this movie with extra scenes or whatever, and it was this big thing, and then that was it, and there are a lot of them are post-card, I still think they get me excited.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: And like it w so.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: I'm excited for Doomsday still, but Yeah, and I think I think they hype it up for m like even more for me.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: I think I mean anything like that is just trailer is what's got me the most hype for it.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: I agree.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: But I don't know, that's pretty exciting.
- 16:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: I I I just I hate that.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: But oh well, hopefully it's good.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: I think it will be.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: I think it will be too.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: It's like the dude.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: It could be so bad.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna be bad.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: There's no way.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: You think it's gonna be so bad?
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: No, I don't think it's gonna be so bad, but I think it can definitely be really bad.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: I mean, I guess I don't know.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: I think that's gonna be the best week of my life.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be a pretty good one.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be awesome.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: That's enough of that.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: It's spooky season.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: When we get into November, we'll start ramping up to that.
- 17:31SPEAKER_02: Um for spooky season, I'm gonna get right into the fun segment.
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: It's a pretty quick one.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: We'll get into our Resident Evil thing.
- 17:38SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, spooky season.
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be about Halloween, about the spooky stuff.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: And even and I mean, Christmas is kind of a good time to do Christmas stuff too, but we have important stuff coming out then.
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: So we'll vamp up to the street.
- 17:53SPEAKER_02: We're definitely gonna do that.
- 17:54SPEAKER_02: Doom part three and doomsday.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: Still have some Christmas stuff then, starting after October.
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: So, to kick it off with a little spooky season action.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: Fun segment today.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: It's a quick one.
- 18:09SPEAKER_02: And I don't know how many you're gonna do, and this is more just to like talk about it.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: But we're doing a segment called How Many Survived.
- 18:17SPEAKER_02: So I've taken some horror movies, some classic horror movies, some other ones.
- 18:20SPEAKER_02: Um out of like the main people, I have all the ones that survived.
- 18:27SPEAKER_02: And I want to see if you can guess how many people survive in these movies.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: Okay, so I'm just trying to guess how many.
- 18:35SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: How many significant characters survive Halloween?
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: Hmm.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: I have no idea.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: Like.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: Two.
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: Three.
- 18:47SPEAKER_02: Oh, I was gonna say three.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: Um these have it kind of surprised me how many survive?
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Out of main characters you wouldn't think like the final girl survives and no one else.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel like a lot of the time it's either the final person or it's there's two.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: How many significant characters survive the conjuring?
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, I feel like I can actually get that.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Um Let's see here.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: Zero.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Or is it one?
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: Eight.
- 19:21SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: The whole family and Ed and Lorraine Warren survived.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, I wasn't thinking about them, but uh the whole family survives.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: Are you serious?
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: The whole family and wait, that's crazy, ain't it?
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I thought.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking the whole parent family.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking of some scenes, but I don't I guess they don't die.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know how they don't die.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Ain't that crazy?
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: That is crazy.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: The whole family.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: Which obviously Ed and Lorraine is that their name?
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Of course they have to survive.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: Because they keep on.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I didn't think the whole family survived.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: Well, according to Marvel, they can die and come back.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: I thought they all died.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: But every single one of them survived.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: All of them survived.
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: Ain't that crazy?
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: That is crazy.
- 19:58SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: How many sign how many main characters are alive at the end of a quiet place?
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: Uh one or two?
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: Three.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: There's at the end of a quiet place?
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: There's three?
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: Hold on a minute.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: There's a qu there's a quiet place one, a quiet place two, and then there's a quiet place day one.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm talking about the first a quiet place.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, well then why'd you say three?
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: Three people survive.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, asking you if it was the first one or the second one.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Three people survive?
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Wait, no, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Of the first one?
- 20:37SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: No.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: The dad, the mom.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: The dad don't survive, does he?
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: He dies in the second one.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: That's what I was asking you.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah, the dad, the mom.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: And the little boy and the sister.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: That's four.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: You're thinking of I think it's the second one.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: Cloudplace date or second one.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Cloudplace two.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: Because the mom.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: Did he die to the second one?
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: He dies in the second one.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: Or does he die at the end of the first one?
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: No, he dies in the second one.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: Are you sure?
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Look it up.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Bro, he dies in the second one.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: Trust me, bro.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: And isn't she having a baby in the first one?
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: That's the s that's the second one.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: They wouldn't have a movie.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: And the kid dies! So three.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: No, that would be two.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: Wait a minute.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: Now I'm confused, bro.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: So what am I looking at?
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: Who survives A Quiet Place D or A Quiet Place?
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: The first one?
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: No, not day one, bro.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: No, not day one.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Let's see.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, Evelyn.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: Reagan.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Which is the mother.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Reagan, which is the deaf girl.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Her children Reagan, Marcus.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: And Marcus.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: And their newborn baby survive.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: Across the first two films.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: So look up when the dead dies.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: In it, a grieving survivor.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: No, that's Killian Murphy.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: What?
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: Killian Murphy is in it in the middle.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: He's in the second one?
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: He's in the second one of the first one.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: It says Shelters Evelyn and the Children in a Quiet Place Part 2.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, he's in the second one then.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Uh let's see.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: What do you know his name?
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: John Krasinski.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm talking about I'm talking about his name and the thing.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: I don't know, but I'm pretty sure he dies in the first one.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: I think I'm right.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: But that's still four.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: Or it's still it's three, because the baby's not born until the second one.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Character in a quiet place dies when.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: I didn't look for that up very well.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Dang, I don't remember the second one, though.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Have I seen the second one?
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: That's when he yells is in the first one?
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: What's in the second one?
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: They she has a baby, obviously.
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: They have the little on-ground bunker and like the train silo thing.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: And then Kelly Murphy's there, and they go to like the place with the uh where all the people are just chilling, living by themselves, like talking and doing their own thing.
- 23:09SPEAKER_02: And they're all doing their own thing.
- 23:10SPEAKER_02: Like they're living normal lives, and then all of a sudden things, the aliens show up and mess things up.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, so the mother, Reagan, and the boy.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: That's all that survives.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: And she's pregnant with another.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: That's four.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: It's still a baby's still a little baby.
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: I guess.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, interesting.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I've ever seen the second one.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: I gotta watch the second one.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: I haven't seen day one.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Is that when she gets a little like crazy?
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Gets really mad and stuff.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know either.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: I've seen a day I've seen day one, but I don't know.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I've ever seen it.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: How many significant characters survive Scream?
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: Um.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: Including the killer?
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: The killer doesn't survive in Scream.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he does.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: No?
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: There's two of them.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: They bogged, I don't think.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: I think maybe one.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: Maybe they kill each other.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: Scooby-Doo.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: Shaggy.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Um.
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: Matthew Lillard is his name.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm thinking of the girl, and she's in the future ones.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: So she's one at least.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: Is it just one?
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: Five.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: Bro, how am I supposed to know how many main characters there are?
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: It's just for you to guess, man.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: Okay, you should know this one.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: Five.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: How many major characters survive the shining?
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Two.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Two.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Even the even the kitchen guy dies.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: He gets killed, he comes back, and he dies.
- 24:44unknown: So sad.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: Can't remember his name.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: But he's also in Welcome to Dairy, which is crazy.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: Ask the same person.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Anyhow.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: They're shiny.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: You need to watch Welcome to Dairy.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: It's actually really good.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: I got that one.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: How many members of the Losers Club survived it?
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: At the end end?
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: When they're old or when they're young?
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: The end of the first one.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: The end of the first one?
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Yes, when they're young.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: So I just gotta think of how many d there are.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: There's one, two, three, four, seven.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: Or six.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: Seven.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Seven.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:32SPEAKER_02: And then at the end of the second one?
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: Then in the second one, you find out that in between, like right at the beginning of the second one, one of them does pass away.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: He dies, yeah.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: But then another one dies too.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Actually, when they're older, a lot more die.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: I'm glad you didn't ask that because I couldn't remember.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: Probably five or four.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't have known it, so I would have put it down.
- 25:51SPEAKER_02: That's good.
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: How many of the fame main Fame?
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: Five main college students survive the Cabin of the Woods.
- 26:00SPEAKER_02: You have to watch this movie.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Is that the one with uh Chris Hemsworth or no?
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: It is?
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I've s I've Rides a Motorcycle.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I just saw I think I saw a clip of him in it and them talking about it, but no, I've never seen it.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: You have no idea what it's about.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: Give me like a brief synopsis, like short, because a group of college kids go to a cabin in the woods.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 26:27SPEAKER_02: Some crazy stuff's going on.
- 26:29SPEAKER_02: They don't really know what's happening.
- 26:30SPEAKER_02: Is it like fantastical or no?
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: What?
- 26:33SPEAKER_02: They don't really know what's going on.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: It's kind of creepy, things are going on.
- 26:37SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: Underground, underneath the cabin.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: Don't give me a spoiler.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: Is that a spoiler?
- 26:43unknown: Yeah.
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: That's a brief synopsis though.
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: They go to a cabin, some freezy, creepy things are going on, and then it's more bigger and fantastical than anything you've ever thought of could happen in a cabin.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: Like it's not like you think of a haunted cabin or whatever.
- 26:57SPEAKER_02: It's really?
- 26:59SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: It's that good.
- 27:02SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah, I do think it's good, but I'm saying it's like wild.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: I'll watch it.
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: I'll watch it this Halloween season.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 27:09SPEAKER_02: I'm watching it again.
- 27:10SPEAKER_02: I'll love that movie.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: I'll watch it at some point.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: As a scare boot.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, how many people die?
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: Let me see here.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: Actually, we're not gonna answer that one.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: You can find out when you watch it.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: And then I'm gonna have to answer it then?
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: And then you can answer it then.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm gonna think about.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, that person just died.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: Nobody died.
- 27:26SPEAKER_02: We'll see.
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: Everybody dies?
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: You obviously ain't seen the clip of Kim's clear simsword's eye scene.
- 27:32SPEAKER_02: Bro! He doesn't die the way you think.
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: I don't know about that.
- 27:39SPEAKER_02: How many of the main group survive Final Destination?
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: Hmm, probably just like two of 'em.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: Three of 'em.
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: It's all it's a true question.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: Not really, but there's four of them surviving like I think they're like eating at a diner.
- 27:55SPEAKER_02: And they think they've survived everything.
- 27:57SPEAKER_02: And then some crazy mousetrap thing happens.
- 28:00SPEAKER_03: Mousetrap?
- 28:01SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 28:02SPEAKER_02: Hits the thing and it goes and does the thing and then it kills like the main character, I think.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: But just him?
- 28:08SPEAKER_02: Just him.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: Some of them swings through.
- 28:11unknown: Interesting.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: So the other ones are going to die?
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, probably.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: That's how it always is.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: I should have said zero.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: But three survive at the end of the movie.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: When the credits roll.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I got it.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: How many?
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: That's like a that's like a Final Destination, like.
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: That always happens.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: How many of the crew survive Alien?
- 28:33SPEAKER_02: I need to watch Alien movies.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: Bro, I haven't never seen it.
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: That's something we need to watch.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: How many are there?
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: There's a couple of them.
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: But apparently Alien.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: Romulus?
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: Romulus is pretty good.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's what I heard.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: That's why I want to watch that.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: You need to watch those.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: But there's a lot, I think.
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: That's fine.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: I don't know how many survived.
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: Probably like three.
- 28:48SPEAKER_01: One.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 28:51SPEAKER_02: I probably could have guessed that.
- 28:52SPEAKER_02: Oh, here you go.
- 28:53SPEAKER_02: You can get this one.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: How many of the main characters survived the thing?
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: Nobody survives.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: I mean there's two left, but.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: It says two.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: I g there's they're living, I guess, but they're fisting to die.
- 29:06SPEAKER_02: When the credits roll their lives.
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: How many of the how many members of the Graham family are alive at the end of hereditary?
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: Of the grand family?
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Graham?
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, Graham.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: Like that's their name.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: I was like talking about like the grandparents.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: Um, Graham family.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, Buddy's still alive.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: Is he though?
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: He's what?
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: He's looking at this he's seeing Are you s he's like possessed by his dead sister at that time.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but he's alive.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: Or no?
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 29:35SPEAKER_02: I put zero because the sister is.
- 29:39SPEAKER_02: What happens to the mom?
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: It's oh she's dead dead.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: I can't remember what happened to her though.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: She's like.
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: I don't know if it's just her head or like the top half of her body's gone.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: How?
- 29:49SPEAKER_02: I don't remember.
- 29:50SPEAKER_02: But she's dead dead.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: But he ain't.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Kinda.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, I just remember him looking.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I'm gonna have to watch that again, too.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: Just the end.
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: I remember the whole movie except for like I just remember him looking at all the people.
- 30:06SPEAKER_02: This lasted longer than I thought because we had to look up the Quiet Place thing because of you.
- 30:09SPEAKER_02: So I'll end on one that'll make you super happy.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: How many of the main characters survive the mist?
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: None.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: This one.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: That's stupid.
- 30:21SPEAKER_02: Just one.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: I saw that the other day.
- 30:25SPEAKER_02: Brandon's favorite ending to a movie ever.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, it was it was some famous director, I can't remember who it was, but was like saying this is the like this is the perfect ending.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: I'm like, bro, that's so stupid.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: Except for are we going to Resident Evil now?
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: Because I got a I got a I got a good I got a like a This is our review for Resident Evil, the Resident Evil movie, Zack Gregor, starring Austin Abrams.
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: We'll do non spoilers alert.
- 30:48SPEAKER_02: Are we doing spoilers instantly?
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: We'll do we'll try to do non-spoilers first, but we're still new at this, so spoiler alert.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: Just in case.
- 30:56SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: I do have I I'll talk about it at the end, but I like a a wet because well, you asked me last time how I thought about the end.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: Which I'll talk about.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: What's your rating out of a hundred?
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: I wonder what your rating is, man.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: What's yours?
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: Are you for Woken Let Me Go First?
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: You watched it first.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: I've already given my thoughts.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: I gave it 74 out of 100.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: Initially I was like a 76, but today I was uh a little down.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: Talking about it a little longer with other people.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: I gave it uh originally a 75.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:41SPEAKER_02: I changed it, but I'm gonna give it about a 79.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: Not about 80, but I did think.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's pretty good.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: And what was like what was so good about it for you?
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: What was the highlight?
- 31:54SPEAKER_02: The comedy was good.
- 31:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:55SPEAKER_02: The comedy was probably the best part.
- 31:57SPEAKER_02: Austin Abrams was really good.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: Um The fact that it feels like someone that doesn't know what they're doing playing a video game for the first time.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that was cool.
- 32:07SPEAKER_02: So, like everything, like, um there's I mean, there's a bunch of it.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: Obviously, there's a first person with the gun stuff.
- 32:15SPEAKER_02: But there's at the beginning, he like just unloads with his pistol and then realizes he needs to save his ammo, which is exactly how you play Resident Evil when you pick it up for the first time.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: You just start shooting, realize that oh, this is not easy to come by.
- 32:28SPEAKER_02: And you start saving your last bullet for some stupid stuff to do at the end.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: Um he's running into pathways that are locked or blocked off for whatever reason that happens.
- 32:39SPEAKER_02: He's running down the alleyway with the bodies falling over, and it the camera pans behind his shoulder.
- 32:44SPEAKER_02: So it's like back here, and it pans behind his shoulder, like if you were moving the right stick to look to either side.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: It just feels like a like he's playing a video game for the first time.
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and he even like he even mentions that it Like a video game.
- 32:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:57SPEAKER_02: So it's they go into that immensely, and that thought they did a good job with it.
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: So I do like that.
- 33:04SPEAKER_02: Um The ending has grown on me a little bit just because of like going back and thinking about the games.
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: Um that's a pretty big boss that's in the games, so they could go on with it.
- 33:16SPEAKER_02: You think uh you think that's what they were doing?
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: It's trying to set up like an alpha.
- 33:19SPEAKER_02: Perry kept calling it an alpha.
- 33:21SPEAKER_02: I don't think they're trying to set up anything, because I don't even know if they're gonna do anymore, but I think that that's what it is.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: I think it's we know who the main characters are of this story, and this current courier guy or whatever is not one of them.
- 33:34SPEAKER_02: This is just a normal story about a normal guy.
- 33:37SPEAKER_02: So you're oh my gosh, so you think they're gonna bring those if they do another one.
- 33:41SPEAKER_02: If they do that they might bring them, they might do these side characters again, but I think it just it shows like because they don't even have to.
- 33:48SPEAKER_02: We've have nine games on who the main people are.
- 33:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 33:51SPEAKER_02: Like we don't we know this is just some random guy.
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: Let's show you what some random guy has to deal with and all this whenever Leon Kennedy's doing backflips and stuff in the police station.
- 34:01SPEAKER_02: Um I like that.
- 34:02SPEAKER_02: So, and then the boss, and then what he comes at the end is pretty cool.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: I do like all of the references to all the different like NPCs and zombie things that you fight throughout the games is pretty cool.
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: Um not a fan of which I'm glad they they some people are afraid to take the sleep.
- 34:19SPEAKER_02: I watched it with Taylor.
- 34:23SPEAKER_02: Captain A Little Girl is not wasn't the best scene for us to watch.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: Um and then the maternity award was I thought the maternity ward was like sick.
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: Like I was like, this is crazy.
- 34:33SPEAKER_02: I can't know this.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: But the little girl thing, because she's still like a little girl pretty much in it.
- 34:37SPEAKER_02: Um so that was kind of tough to watch, but I was like, I was actually kind of like, I can't believe he had the balls to do that.
- 34:43SPEAKER_02: Really, like crazy.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: And I can't believe they like he was bit so I feel like it was so early in that movie.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: He was bitch.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: It's like you knew kinda which I guess you had you were holding on to hope with whatever he had in that box, but yeah.
- 34:56SPEAKER_02: I do like how he's like sitting there at the end, and even though he knows something's happening, he's like, hey, can I get some of that?
- 35:02SPEAKER_02: He's being polite about it.
- 35:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 35:04SPEAKER_02: Um But yeah.
- 35:05SPEAKER_02: So that's what I like.
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: I like the comedy in it.
- 35:07SPEAKER_02: I thought the beginning was good, and the scariest part was the beginning.
- 35:11SPEAKER_02: Um I thought the end was alright.
- 35:14SPEAKER_02: I think the middle was kind of weird.
- 35:16SPEAKER_02: Um I think I What what what do you classify as the middle?
- 35:19SPEAKER_02: Like when they get to the city?
- 35:21SPEAKER_02: So when he I classify the middle whenever he comes out of the tunnel and they find him and then before he gets to the hospital.
- 35:27SPEAKER_02: Yes, in the city.
- 35:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: Um I think that has the best scene in it.
- 35:31SPEAKER_02: I think the best scene is the falling thing.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: Which we'll get into.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: Yes, is insane to watch.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: I think that everything I've seen, the guy that plays um the umbrella core dude that is responsible for the whole thing, like he kind of hints at it.
- 35:49SPEAKER_02: Everything I've seen him in, he is better than he is in this movie.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: He was just annoying, yeah.
- 35:53SPEAKER_02: I've seen him in a bunch of stuff.
- 35:54SPEAKER_02: I think he's funny, and I think he does good in other stuff.
- 35:56SPEAKER_02: Um he's better in every single other acting performance than he is in this movie.
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: And it kind of took me out of that part.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: There was a actor that uh I did I didn't like in this movie that you liked in Severn's?
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: I did not like I don't know what his name is, the guy that plays Dylan in Severance.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: I didn't like any of the scientists, obviously.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: I mean, I feel like no I don't know if anybody does, but hey Crying guy.
- 36:19SPEAKER_02: I knew it was gonna be kind of cheesy from then.
- 36:21SPEAKER_02: Whenever he's sitting down there at the elevator.
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: And I feel like it could have been so much like I liked what you said is Austin Abrams.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: I liked him.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: He was funny.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: The emotional aspect of the movie, I feel like could have been better.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: Uh like it did hit, like it was good, and how he realized, oh, I'm pro I'm done, I'm done for it.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: And you like you, it's already it's hinted at that he has a kid or gonna have a kid, but right there it's like confirmed that's what they were talking about, and he's not gonna get to see her, and he was just scared before, and now he's like he realizes uh this it would be good.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: Um so that I mean that was pretty emotional, but I thought it could have been better.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: Like his crying wasn't really that great.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: Um and I guess that might have been because he was just humor and like funny the whole time, so yeah.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: It was a little different.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: But it was a change of pace, and so I didn't care for it too much.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: What do you like about you like the comedy here?
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: The comedy was good.
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: Oh it got repetitive.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: Oh no, my Jays.
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: That was funny, yeah.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: Uh that was funny.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Um yeah.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: The com but it just got so repetitive.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: And the jump scares, the jump scares were pretty decent at the beginning.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: It's better at the first part was a scary part, I think.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: There were there was a guy sitting next to Perry.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: Like they came in late, and three of them.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: The first, well, it's I guess it's not the first, but it's one of the first ones where the dude, the like old guy in the house, sprints out of the doorway.
- 37:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: The the guy next to Perry jumped.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: Like, I'd like he was out of his seat probably about like five inches.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: And he sh he like yelped.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: That was the scariest part of the whole movie.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: Just hit me yep, jumping.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: Perry looked at me and said, that was scarier than the actual scene.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: I don't know why he did that, but that that was kind of a good jump scare.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: I liked it.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: Um, because you were all I mean, you were thinking about the lady running at him, and then all of a sudden that was good.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: Um I don't know.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: I l I like I liked how it was because it I knew about Raccoon City, or at least I like heard about it, so that's what I thought it was gonna be.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: And then they were like in the countryside and like with the snow and stuff, and that was cool setting, but then I thought that's all it was gonna be until the very end.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: But no, there was then the second half was in the city.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: They kept a dog and a little kid in this movie.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, they're not holding back.
- 38:46SPEAKER_00: It was pretty crazy.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: No punches.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: I forgot about the dog.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I mean he I mean In reality, what um uh he doesn't know.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: Like, they're he doesn't know that's a dog.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: It's an infected dog.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like something's that that does not look like a dog at all.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: But the ending you told me this last week.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: Whatever your score was was gonna change once you got to the ending.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I feel like it did.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: Um it was just so silly that they were tr like it was so he was wanting the thing.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: Like, just give it to him, and he would have done it for you.
- 39:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: But all of them were just freaking out.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, I like I get it, like this thing is like taking you one by one, but it was just so silly that he didn't end up getting it.
- 39:31SPEAKER_00: And I was like, why uh it just didn't make any sense like why?
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: But I was told I have a buddy that has played all the games, and he he said that I don't know if this is a spoiler or not, if they're gonna make a new one, I don't know.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: But like the city gets nuked, like they the government nukes it after they get a hold of the like cure.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: So like they have the cure, but then they get nuked.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: And I was thinking, I was like, man, well what they could have done to like make that ending better is if he got that cure and he gave it to himself.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: And then it got nuked, and yeah, like he like he he got the cure, gave it to himself, he ri like he, I don't know, some maybe his phones are like got on the phone with his whatever, was talking to her, was like, I'm gonna get to meet my kid, all this, and then it gets nuked.
- 40:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and nuked and then that would be insane.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: Like, if that's what they were actually gonna do is nuke the city.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: That would have been crazy.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: But like you said, if they're gonna have something for the future with the actual characters come in, that would be cool too.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: And he's like the main big bad, that would be pretty cool.
- 40:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:33SPEAKER_02: That'd be pretty interesting.
- 40:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I thought I was alright.
- 40:35SPEAKER_02: I think um out of the last three Zack Krager movies, I think I had the most fun with this one, but it's my least favorite.
- 40:42SPEAKER_02: I like Barbarian and Weapons better.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: You like Barbarian better?
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: I like Barbarian a lot.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: I'd say it's I think I don't know.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: Weapons Barbarian was the scariest out of all three of them.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: You think we uh yeah, Barbarian was pretty creepy when they were in Downton?
- 41:00SPEAKER_02: When he's in the yeah, basement.
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: All of those are so good, bro.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, he don't meant he's pretty good.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: Barbarian was they're all of them are kind of a little outlandish, except for weapons.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: Well, weapons.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: Weapons are pretty outlandish, too.
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but like ah, yeah, you're right.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: They're all really good.
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: But I think it mine would be Barbarian weapon or barbarian resident evil weapons.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, my buddy did s like he he's like I said, he played all the games.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: He said he noticed there was a med mist.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: Like a medical did you see that?
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: It was in the barn, um, like kind of towards the beginning.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: There was the plant uh in the tunnel that's like herb plant, yeah, heel green herb.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he said there was something else too, but I don't remember.
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: So like a lot of nods to the game.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, there was a bunch of that stuff.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: That's that's cool.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: I I really like that.
- 41:47SPEAKER_02: So and it's also cool, one of my buddies pointed out how like each phase of where he's going.
- 41:52SPEAKER_02: So at the beginning he has the pistol, and then as you progress through the game, you get a shotgun, and then as prosecute the game, you get a machine gun.
- 41:58SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, so like every phase you get a different weapon.
- 42:00SPEAKER_02: That's nice.
- 42:01SPEAKER_02: That's pretty cool too.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: That is cool.
- 42:03SPEAKER_02: So that's part of the reason I raise it up.
- 42:05SPEAKER_02: I might even push it to an 80 now that I'm thinking.
- 42:07SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 42:08SPEAKER_02: Like I like that stuff.
- 42:09SPEAKER_02: I like the games and um yeah.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: I just feel like the mo like the I get I don't know.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: Have you played the games?
- 42:17SPEAKER_02: Like so I've played one and then two remake, and then I've played like the recent ones.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: Or the monster, like the the virus.
- 42:27SPEAKER_02: I played seven, eight, nine.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Is the virus like pretty accurate looking?
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, all the stuff?
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like all the conjoinments.
- 42:35SPEAKER_00: Well I'm saying like like the like the tentacle stuff that comes out of them.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: Because I feel like I've seen that in so many different like I just feel like that's so common to see.
- 42:43SPEAKER_02: So it wasn't like a unique well, the cre all the When I all come on that accurate, the open mouth thing, the one that throws up the acid, all that stuff.
- 42:54SPEAKER_02: And then what he becomes at the very end is something you see you see.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: I mean it's yeah.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: With that big OI and the I yeah, that was cool.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: I hope if they're gonna make a new one and he's the actual main thing.
- 43:10SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: But I wish he would.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: He's good.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, if he just keeps making standalones that are really good, that's fine too.
- 43:22SPEAKER_02: That's fine too.
- 43:23SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be good movies.
- 43:24SPEAKER_02: Um any final thoughts on Resident Evil?
- 43:27SPEAKER_02: It was a good thing.
- 43:27SPEAKER_02: You should go watch it.
- 43:28SPEAKER_02: If you like that stuff, you should watch it.
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: It's good.
- 43:30SPEAKER_00: I liked it.
- 43:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:31SPEAKER_00: It it's got it's got a good balance of humor and horror.
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: There was some tough scene, so we expected Austin Airbones almost died making the movie.
- 43:44SPEAKER_02: One of so the the scene where they're all falling into the alleyway they're just blood bags that they're dropping.
- 43:51SPEAKER_02: So that all was taken in one shot, they're dropping blood bags.
- 43:55SPEAKER_02: One was supposed to hit a car.
- 43:56SPEAKER_02: You see them like beer off to the side and move, it was supposed to hit.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: A car and it hits right beside him.
- 44:02SPEAKER_02: So they're dropping 50 pounds of blood or whatever from the top of the car.
- 44:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:07SPEAKER_02: I saw a video of Zach Krager was reviewing it and he goes, and this is where we almost kill lost and talks about how it's supposed to hit the car and it lands in between the car and him.
- 44:16SPEAKER_02: I wonder if it would have actually killed him.
- 44:18SPEAKER_02: It would have been not good.
- 44:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:20SPEAKER_02: Depends on where it hit him, I guess.
- 44:22SPEAKER_02: But it made his scream.
- 44:23SPEAKER_02: Like his screaming was on his own.
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:26SPEAKER_02: He jumps over that car car like parkour.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:29SPEAKER_00: But it was really good.
- 44:32SPEAKER_02: Pretty good.
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: If you played the games, I mean.
- 44:34SPEAKER_00: New big movies.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: Clayface coming out.
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: We got I saw the trailer for that while watching the movie.
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: Did you know that okay, did you know that we have D-Box seats?
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: Do you know what that is?
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so D like It's like 4D.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: They move and stuff.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: I did not know that.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: I saw that like yesterday when I was trying to get tickets.
- 44:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so when I try to get tickets on the Monday of that week.
- 44:55SPEAKER_02: When did I go see it?
- 44:56SPEAKER_02: Thursday?
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:58SPEAKER_02: When it's all Thursday.
- 44:58SPEAKER_02: So Monday I looked, the only tickets I had was D-Box seats.
- 45:01SPEAKER_02: And I was like.
- 45:02SPEAKER_02: You didn't want to do that?
- 45:04SPEAKER_02: Well, was it one was that 740?
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: And we didn't want um the person that was watching Sawyer to be there that late.
- 45:11SPEAKER_02: So we I was like, oh we can't go because this the earliest what the earliest one after we got off work was 7.40.
- 45:18SPEAKER_02: And then as it got closer to time, there was regular seats available and it was like 7 o'clock.
- 45:21SPEAKER_02: And I was like, what is going on?
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: So I looked at the D-Box thing and I was like, oh, it's like 4D sa moves and those old things.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: I wanted to get those seats and I saw them online and like the like there was like two rows of them, and I was like, oh dude, I'm that's what I think we're gonna do that just to see how it was.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: We got there and they were all blocked off.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: We're like, oh, they already sold out, whatever.
- 45:40SPEAKER_00: They weren't sold out.
- 45:42SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you can't get them in person or what.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: Like you have to get them online, but they they didn't even offer them to us.
- 45:47SPEAKER_00: So I was mad.
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: But I want to sit on them next time.
- 45:51SPEAKER_00: I wonder what would be a good movie for that.
- 45:52SPEAKER_00: I don't think Clayface would be a good movie for it.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: No.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: I don't think so either.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: I just want to think about Resident Evil, but I don't know, some of the jumpscares would be kind of Oh yeah.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, especially with like the first person.
- 46:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: That'd be crazy.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: That'd be so insane.
- 46:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: It depends on how crazy it is.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: If it's so if it's way too crazy, then like I'd just probably get annoyed.
- 46:18SPEAKER_02: Some uh a co-worker of mine, what movie did he say he watched?
- 46:22SPEAKER_02: M40 in Oklahoma City or one.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 46:27SPEAKER_02: Maybe it was Mandalorian Grogu.
- 46:29SPEAKER_02: Uh, it would be bad.
- 46:31SPEAKER_02: I don't remember, but yeah.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: Alright, so that was our review for Resident Evil.
- 46:39SPEAKER_02: I'm excited for more movies coming out, but that was good for Spooky Season.
- 46:44SPEAKER_02: Clayface will those are kind of our bookends for Spooky Season.
- 46:48SPEAKER_02: Is Resident Evil and then Clayface will bookend it at the other side.
- 46:52SPEAKER_02: Um Yeah, so we'll get into um the last thing, I guess, is our watch list reviews.
- 46:57SPEAKER_02: Um going forward, we're gonna do something kind of different.
- 47:01SPEAKER_02: We're just gonna try to watch some spooky movies um this month.
- 47:06SPEAKER_02: Some Halloween movies.
- 47:07SPEAKER_02: Uh so we're not really gonna have a watch list review.
- 47:10SPEAKER_02: I'm not entirely sure how we're gonna do it.
- 47:12SPEAKER_02: I kind of want to watch some scary movies and tier list them or rank them like against each other.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: But I think we should just watch scary movies.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: So watch as many scary movies as you can, watch the ones you want to watch that you haven't seen, and then we'll talk about them at the end of each episode.
- 47:27SPEAKER_02: Like I want you to watch uh Kevin Woods.
- 47:29SPEAKER_02: I want to watch the Alien franchise against Alien Romulus.
- 47:32SPEAKER_02: So I think we should just watch some scary movies and talk about them.
- 47:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 47:35SPEAKER_02: Or just Halloween movies.
- 47:37SPEAKER_02: I would like if you watched Nightmare Before Christmas.
- 47:40SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, I told you I'd watch that.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: I don't know if I want you to watch it now or during Christmas time.
- 47:48SPEAKER_02: I think you should watch it during Christmas time.
- 47:51SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I don't know.
- 47:52SPEAKER_02: Christmas?
- 47:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:54SPEAKER_02: But so I think that's what we'll do.
- 47:57SPEAKER_02: But we do still have watch those reviews to talk about this time.
- 48:00SPEAKER_02: I had watched the back rooms.
- 48:02SPEAKER_02: And I watched Oppenheimer.
- 48:03SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go Oppenheimer to you before we did this.
- 48:06SPEAKER_00: But you wanna go first or sure.
- 48:09SPEAKER_00: I can go first.
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: Go ahead.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, so for my rating.
- 48:15SPEAKER_00: 68 out of 100.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: Oh no.
- 48:18SPEAKER_00: I okay.
- 48:19SPEAKER_00: So you don't like the political stuff, I know.
- 48:22SPEAKER_02: You talked about it all last episode, and then I gave you Oppenheimer out.
- 48:25SPEAKER_00: Which, okay, I I like 68, I don't know.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: Like it's 68, 69, that's like around there.
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: It that's it's still not a bad rating.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: Like, if I didn't like the movie, it would be below 50.
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: So, like, there was times I was like, this is really good, and I did like it.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: Like, all the scientific stuff was so interesting, and like like seeing all these smart people and working together, like that was cool.
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: The there it's just 90% of the movie's politics and all that stuff, and I just don't care what they aftermath.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: And they're so smart that the way they talk, and like it's a a little bit of how smart they are and a little bit of the time.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: So a lot of it I just miss.
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what are they talking about?
- 49:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I just I don't understand what they're talking about, and then I miss the whole conversation, and I just feel like I'm just like so.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: The politics stuff, it just bumps it for me.
- 49:13SPEAKER_00: And it was so long, like it was very long, it's like two hours and forty something minutes, and it felt like it was five hours long.
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: Because it's just conversation.
- 49:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: It's conversation the whole time.
- 49:25SPEAKER_00: He goes, it's not a trial, but it's basically a trial, and there's that well, there was good sp spots in that.
- 49:32SPEAKER_00: Like it was good.
- 49:33SPEAKER_00: Uh I don't I mean, I I'm not I don't know how accurate it is to like actual history.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: I'm assuming it's probably close.
- 49:43SPEAKER_00: Like, did uh Oppenheimer actually have to go through a trial all that stuff?
- 49:48SPEAKER_00: So that was good.
- 49:49SPEAKER_00: Um the scientists standing up for him at the end.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: Uh what was that guy's name?
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: Robert Heine Jr.'s uh character Strauss.
- 49:58SPEAKER_00: Rumi Malik.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 50:01SPEAKER_02: Strauss.
- 50:02SPEAKER_02: Strauss.
- 50:03SPEAKER_02: Remy Malik.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: The guy that plays um just on the solo what's up on that.
- 50:12SPEAKER_01: What's that guy?
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: I have no idea what you're talking about.
- 50:14SPEAKER_00: Are you talking about the are you talking about the scientists that stands up for him?
- 50:16SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 50:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm sure.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: I don't know his name.
- 50:19SPEAKER_00: But I'm talking about he stands up against Strauss.
- 50:23SPEAKER_00: And that was cool seeing his shift and his h him trying to play and kind of take over the trial and the jury and the judges, you know.
- 50:37SPEAKER_00: But and I think it would have probably been a little crazier.
- 50:41SPEAKER_00: I like it's been out for a long time.
- 50:43SPEAKER_00: So I mean Malik.
- 50:45SPEAKER_00: Is that his name?
- 50:46SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 50:46SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot of stuff that I had like heard about and stuff.
- 50:51SPEAKER_00: Like you told me the whole the scene where the bomb goes off and they're just staring and it's just dead silent, and then then it's loud.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: Like I was I was just expecting it.
- 51:01SPEAKER_00: Like I was like waiting for it to happen.
- 51:03SPEAKER_00: If I thought theaters it was in Oh I'm sure.
- 51:06SPEAKER_00: I'm sure it was like freaking so loud.
- 51:08SPEAKER_03: Boom.
- 51:09SPEAKER_00: But and all around you, you know.
- 51:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: But I was just expecting it, so it wasn't as crazy, but it it I don't know.
- 51:17SPEAKER_00: It was pretty it was it was crazy to see the the backlash, like w what it hap like what happened to everybody.
- 51:22SPEAKER_00: And what it did to Oppenheimer mentally.
- 51:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but like it was weird seeing like it really messed with them, like when he went to go give that speech.
- 51:32SPEAKER_00: At like the basketball gym.
- 51:34SPEAKER_00: Yes, bro.
- 51:34SPEAKER_00: That was pretty crazy.
- 51:36SPEAKER_00: And all the people are like he's seeing like Ash people and all this stuff.
- 51:40SPEAKER_00: And it shows what Einstein said to him.
- 51:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was pretty crazy.
- 51:43SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, like it did seem like he was kind of writing it and using it for like his future and fame.
- 51:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:52SPEAKER_00: So it was like a kind of weird, like I don't know.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: And then going to the president talking to him saying, I don't know if it's a great idea, and then the president giving him crap for it.
- 52:03SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, there was good parts to it.
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: It's just it's definitely not my type of movie.
- 52:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for sure.
- 52:10SPEAKER_02: I'll never forget in theaters, because you can just it's like, mm-mm.
- 52:14SPEAKER_02: Like info go past you.
- 52:15SPEAKER_02: I also like whenever they're after they're done, um, and you can see some of the scientists like like some of them are celebrating, some of them like throwing up because oh yeah.
- 52:26SPEAKER_02: They what they just did and like stuff like that.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: That okay, that was a good that was good too.
- 52:30SPEAKER_00: How they're like they know what they're doing, they know what this is for, and they're like excited because it's something they've never done before.
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: Something new once it happens, they're like, Yeah.
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: But they're also fighting with it, like fighting internally, like I I don't like it should we do this?
- 52:46SPEAKER_00: They're even having meetings about it, like and Oppenheimer, he's he's like, We're cre we're making this, but it's not in our hands to decide what is done with it.
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: Like that's not us, we're just we're making whatever.
- 52:58SPEAKER_00: And so that was cool.
- 52:59SPEAKER_00: Like the whole thing, like if we don't do it, then they're gonna have it first.
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean it's it's just gonna and then but that was I like the whole uh one thing goes off, then they're like Yeah.
- 53:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and then it don't take them no time before they use it.
- 53:14SPEAKER_02: Oh, I know, yeah, it's like right after, and then they're like, yeah.
- 53:18SPEAKER_00: And I've seen the scene with uh Albert Einstein, like at the end, I've seen that before.
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: In the world.
- 53:23SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 53:24SPEAKER_00: But it was defin it was definitely so much better.
- 53:27SPEAKER_00: Like seeing what happened build up and also with Strauss and him being like thinking, oh, it's all about me, like he was talking crap about me, he Albert didn't even look at me, whatever.
- 53:36SPEAKER_00: Uh he's like pulling all these scientists away from me and having them hate me.
- 53:41SPEAKER_00: Um he's got all this influence, and then you find out he that he doesn't he doesn't he's not thinking about it.
- 53:46SPEAKER_00: He doesn't care about it.
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: He's he this is what's on his mind, and this is what is really like he's feeling, and this is what it has impacted him.
- 53:55SPEAKER_00: And yeah, he said we're we I think we ended or whatever, we end the world.
- 54:00SPEAKER_02: That was pretty tough.
- 54:02SPEAKER_02: It's less tough when you realize like Albert Anston like left his wife and then got with his cousin in real life.
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm not saying it was tough.
- 54:08SPEAKER_02: I'm not saying it was tough.
- 54:09SPEAKER_02: Like Albert Einstein, it's so weird li like these historical figures, especially like Albert Anston, because uh when I was watching that, I was thinking about like this dude's a weirdo.
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: But he's supposed to be like this big figure.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, yeah.
- 54:21SPEAKER_00: But also Oppenheimer, like the stuff he did, I just don't agree with.
- 54:25SPEAKER_00: Like, he's such a bad person.
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 54:27SPEAKER_00: Like he's supposed to be the I gu I don't know.
- 54:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're there's no good guy in the movie.
- 54:33SPEAKER_00: He's he's just he's bad.
- 54:35SPEAKER_00: There's no one to really root for.
- 54:37SPEAKER_00: You try to, I mean, like, oh yeah.
- 54:39SPEAKER_00: Emily Blunt.
- 54:41SPEAKER_00: Not really.
- 54:42SPEAKER_00: She's terri I mean uh she hates on her kids, she's so I don't know.
- 54:48SPEAKER_00: Why did she do that?
- 54:49SPEAKER_00: She's like she was just she said, Oh, I've been taking care of I've been tending him to all all day.
- 54:54SPEAKER_00: I was like, well, I mean yeah, that probably sucks because she was a biologist and had dreams to do other stuff.
- 55:00SPEAKER_00: So that sucks, yeah.
- 55:01SPEAKER_00: That kind of just rub me the wrong way, I guess.
- 55:03SPEAKER_00: And then since then, I was just like, eh.
- 55:06SPEAKER_00: But she didn't take no crap.
- 55:08SPEAKER_00: So but it was a decent movie.
- 55:12SPEAKER_00: It's just not one, like, it's not for me.
- 55:14SPEAKER_00: And you knew that.
- 55:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:15SPEAKER_00: So I was wondering, uh it's something you should watch.
- 55:17SPEAKER_00: I can imagine people love it.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: Like, I love it.
- 55:20SPEAKER_00: People that are into that stuff, I'm just not, man.
- 55:23SPEAKER_00: I just thought you should watch it.
- 55:24SPEAKER_00: It's just a movie you should watch.
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:26SPEAKER_02: Because it was so important.
- 55:26SPEAKER_02: It won so many awards, and it was just this big movie.
- 55:29SPEAKER_02: You should at least have seen it.
- 55:30SPEAKER_02: It was big, yeah.
- 55:31SPEAKER_02: Um, so yeah, I'll get into the back rooms.
- 55:34SPEAKER_02: Um just like a 68 or 69 is high for you.
- 55:42SPEAKER_02: If I don't like a movie, it's gonna be below like 75 to 70.
- 55:47SPEAKER_02: Backrooms to 75.
- 55:50SPEAKER_02: So it's just mid?
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: It's below a 75 if you don't like it.
- 55:54SPEAKER_02: I mean below a 70.
- 55:55SPEAKER_02: I don't like it, usually.
- 55:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 55:57SPEAKER_02: Or like, I don't know, around there, but like I'll never give something.
- 56:02SPEAKER_02: So 75 is just kind of mid for you.
- 56:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 56:04SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 56:05SPEAKER_02: Um it's I like it.
- 56:09SPEAKER_02: So the back room stuff, the backrooms themselves are probably the best it's ever been done.
- 56:14SPEAKER_02: Uh whenever he was walking around it the first time is pretty cool.
- 56:18SPEAKER_02: The my whole favorite part of the whole thing is whenever they have the camera inside the back rooms when he gets the two like his assistant managers.
- 56:26SPEAKER_03: Go down?
- 56:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but even like so after he goes down, and then I we'll we'll get to it.
- 56:33SPEAKER_02: I'll try to get through it fast, but yeah.
- 56:35SPEAKER_02: So like he owns the store.
- 56:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 56:36SPEAKER_02: Then they he finds the gate to the back rooms, which apparently are hopping up everywhere, um, which you find at the end.
- 56:42SPEAKER_02: But yeah, so when he gets like the his assistant manager to get her boyfriend and the camera to go, and they're going through the back rooms, and it looks so it's like cool.
- 56:51SPEAKER_02: Um and then he goes down, and that was like the scariest part.
- 56:56SPEAKER_02: That was that was I thought that was the scariest really, and then my I think my favorite part where I was just like cheesing was whenever so the guy gets sucked, they put the camera on the bed after they pull him up, and then he gets pulled down there, and they all go down there, and he picks up the camera and he shows them like getting pulled through the door and stuff like that, and then he starts running.
- 57:16SPEAKER_02: All the different like he runs into a bathroom and like the toilet's on the wall, and then he like steps over a thing and he's steps in water and turns around, and there's pools inside, and everything's all and I was like, This is like perfect backrooms, like this is the best that's ever been done.
- 57:30SPEAKER_02: Like everything seems perfect amount of uncanny, yeah, but fits into what's supposed to be.
- 57:35SPEAKER_02: Like, I thought it was awesome.
- 57:36SPEAKER_02: I was like, oh my gosh, here we go.
- 57:38SPEAKER_02: Because I still thought the beginning stuff was alright.
- 57:41SPEAKER_02: Like, I thought like the therapist stuff was alright, um, her story, the how it was kind of trying to build it a little bit, and then his thing I thought was alright, like what he was dealing with, but not like I mean I was it was alright, but I knew that you had to build something up, you had to build, try to try to figure out who these characters are, so that was alright.
- 58:01SPEAKER_02: But that middle part where he they go in the back rooms was I thought was awesome.
- 58:05SPEAKER_02: And then I really like um obvious so the Captain Clark got spoiled for me.
- 58:11SPEAKER_02: I knew exactly what he looked like.
- 58:12SPEAKER_02: That sucks.
- 58:13SPEAKER_02: Knew his big and stuff.
- 58:15SPEAKER_02: That sucks.
- 58:16SPEAKER_02: I was trying to go into it thinking about, as I do when I know some things, I try to go into it thinking about if I didn't know this, what are some hints and some cool things that happen.
- 58:25SPEAKER_02: Whenever he is, so he has a camera and he's running around.
- 58:29SPEAKER_02: Um, and obviously you see Captain Clark kind of at the very beginning, when it has the people in the suits or whatever, and one of them gets that's like the very first thing that happens.
- 58:39SPEAKER_02: But anyway, so he sets the camera down because he hears Kate talking through like the and she can see him and he can't see her, and they're like talking, they're arguing whatever, and she's like, Clark, Clark behind you, and then you see who whatever's behind him picks up the camera, and when he does, he picks it up and it's like up here.
- 58:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 58:55SPEAKER_02: So you're like, I was like, Oh, that's cool, because it shows how big this person is because they're like way tall, like they picked up the camera and it's way taller than what Clark was holding it at.
- 59:05SPEAKER_02: Um, so I thought that was really cool.
- 59:07SPEAKER_02: And then it cuts and it goes to the therapist who gets the phone call, and she's he had like told her about the back rooms or whatever, and she didn't really believe him, but then he she goes to check on him and finds it herself.
- 59:20SPEAKER_02: Um pretty con I mean obviously it was all taped out, so maybe she would have tried to go there anyways, but it was pretty convenient that a fly flies into it as she's standing there.
- 59:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 59:31SPEAKER_02: Um and this is kind of when it gets it goes down.
- 59:37SPEAKER_02: So when she enters?
- 59:38SPEAKER_02: So she enters, and everything up to her finding the drawing is really good.
- 59:45SPEAKER_02: And one of the most unsettling moments is Clark talking to her with while standing around the corner, like he doesn't want to see her.
- 59:51SPEAKER_02: And you really don't know how long it's been since he's been down there.
- 59:54SPEAKER_02: But he's like whispering at her, and she's like, Hello, and he's like standing around the corner, and then he finally comes out and they're like talking, and then you hear like the big footsteps, and he goes, Don't worry, it's me, you know me, and then like chokes her out.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_02: All that was good.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_02: And then the worst part of the whole movie is when they're at the table.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_02: Her acting is genuine like bad.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_02: Like it's genuinely bad whenever she's trying to say, like, oh everything's alright, everything's good, or whatever, like I can help you and stuff like that.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_02: Um her accent breaks a couple times.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_00: I didn't even know I was just focused on that goober that's behind her.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, the little guy.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_02: So her accent breaks a couple times.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_02: That's another when he's running through there and like the he gets like the Christmas room.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_02: That whole yeah.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_02: Her like accent breaks, she can't like it's just genuinely not good.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_02: And he is putting on probably the best performance of his life, and she is not giving him anything.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_02: And then they're sitting there talking, and I'm like, and you can eat him too, and I was like, that's weird.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_02: And then it's like this whole resolution of how like he's just an a-hole, and nothing can fix that, and he's always just gonna be an a-hole, and then he's like, I don't maybe I don't want to fix it, because I kind of like blaming everyone else for everything that happens to me.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_02: And I was like, Okay, well, there's that, there's that resolution, but her acting gets better when she's like, she just stops, and she's stone faced, and she's like, I can't help you.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_02: You're just a bad guy.
- 1:01:21SPEAKER_02: I spent my whole life trying to help bad people and I just can't do it, or whatever.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_02: So that was pretty good.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_02: Um and then obviously the big guy comes in.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_02: Even though I already knew what he looked like, it's still a pretty underwhelming reveal for the creature.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_00: That's what I was thinking that the whole time you're talking about it, from the point that you uh noted when they go down into the like the place where it's been staying.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_00: That seeing it in there, or you don't really see it, but you see the hat.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_00: You see the hat and like it.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_00: The movement that it has, yeah.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_00: The movement that it has and that whole little area is so scary.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_00: I feel like it sets it up so well and the It's so fast.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it takes him so fast, and it's like, holy crap, that was like that was creepy.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_00: And then yeah, I I completely agree.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_02: It's like this big gum gum what's that thing?
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_02: Like the rubber green man has the pet horse gumbo, gum gum gumbo.
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_02: I have no idea what you're talking about.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_02: It just feels like he's goofy looking dude.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_02: Yes, and he's so slow, he's just so lame.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_02: And then the chase scene is not good.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_02: The chase scene isn't good.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_02: She goes up into the store, and all of a sudden it's like the best, most well-remembered part of all the back rooms is the store.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_02: Other than the front doors blocked by a wall, everything's set up almost perfectly except for the um the like fat head thing.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_00: I just wonder, I mean I wonder if that's just because of the gate.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_00: Because it's right there.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's in the store.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_00: Um There's so many things that I was like questioning after.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: I can't remember like what they were, because obviously it like takes cop like I had my own theories, like it takes copies of them while they're down there.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it just remembers them.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:03:06SPEAKER_02: So backrooms is based it's not actually like this, but say it's just a floor, and it's an infinite amount of floors.
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_02: So the floor right below us just remembers this, but you can't, like, nothing's perfect, so it remembers it a little off.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_02: The floor below that one remembers the floor above it, but it's also a little bit off, so it just gets a little bit more off and off until which it shows is becomes nothing.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_00: Like just And so the people that are down there, like when they go down there, they get remade.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_00: Like that's what happened to the.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_00: Is that what happened to Captain Clark?
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_00: Like, or did that just get made no that just got made because it remembered him in the store, huh?
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_00: Yes, it remembered him, which is another thing I thought, why did it remember him so big?
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_00: Because he was remember in the commercial he was wearing that whole suit.
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_00: I mean yeah, I know he's wearing the suit, but he's still a normal size human.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but it's a commercial, you don't know.
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_02: Maybe because he thinks of himself so highly, thinks of himself as larger than life, so it remembered him that way.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_02: But it made him huge compared to everybody else.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_00: Well, they I think they got remade by being in there.
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_00: Like they got copied because they were in there.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_00: No?
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_00: Like that's how she got copied?
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_02: No, she got cop she just got copied because she was there.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_02: Everything gets copied.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_02: That was just showing you that like everything gets copied.
- 1:04:19unknown: Hmm.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_02: Because she gets copied I don't know.
- 1:04:23SPEAKER_02: Everything has a copy.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_00: It was weird.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_00: I what?
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_00: That chasing was bad.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_00: Um if everything had a copy, there would be a thousand like there would be so many people down there.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_00: Every corner you go around, there's people.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_02: I it I mean, it probably has to do with the gates, right?
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_02: Being close to the gates, like you were saying.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_00: I just don't know why the that Christmas lady and the short weird guy in the chair would like the way they came from.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_02: I'm sure if you walked outside the store and ran down the street, there'd be some lady Christmas lady somewhere somewhere.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, sorry.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_02: Probably wouldn't be Christmas time because it won't be Christmas time, but um Yeah, I thought the chasing was really bad, and then really conveni convenient how she gets away from it.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_02: And then like the people that have been investigating the backrooms the whole time have been one tiny like sliver hallway away from everything that's been going on this whole time.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_02: Um and my least favorite scene, and some of the worst editing I think I've seen is when she has the stone and she's hitting Captain Clark.
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_02: I don't know, I I guess I do it on purpose.
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_02: When she swings, it shows his face, and as she connects, it shows hers.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_02: So it's showing her face as she's hitting him, and shows his face as she's swinging.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_02: You can hear her swinging, and then it shows her face again as it connects, and you just see like the blood splatter.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_03: Hmm.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_02: I was like, what is even the point of that?
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_02: And it cuts so weird, it's just weird.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_02: It feels weird.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_02: You can tell it's like you can tell they recorded her face just nonstop, her going like this, and then they recorded her hand going like this because it doesn't match up.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_02: Um so that was.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_02: Weird and then when she finally gets out and they start questioning her, I thought that part was pretty good.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_02: Just because it was like gives you something to think about.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_02: But I think whenever she ends up at that table to when she gets captured is just bad.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_02: Like I thought it was actually bad.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_02: I didn't think it was any good, which lowered it a lot for me.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_02: And that's like the climax.
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 1:06:21SPEAKER_02: 75's.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_02: I think 75's good.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_02: But that middle part, well, that middle part with the camera and it was good.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_00: That's like the I think the best part of the back rooms is the backrooms.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_00: Like all of the uncanny stuff is the best part.
- 1:06:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:06:37SPEAKER_00: And they just, I don't know.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_02: It could've it.
- 1:06:40SPEAKER_02: I think we can find that he just ran around the whole time and just kept seeing Captain Clark's shadow chasing them all down.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_02: He just kept going through this different stuff.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_00: I just wish Captain the whole Captain Clark thing was not it was, like you said, so underwhelming.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_00: And it was just not that uh wasn't great.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_02: So still enjoyed it.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_02: Really like that one part overall, not that great because the most important parts weren't any good.
- 1:07:04SPEAKER_02: I thought they were actually bad.
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_00: The most important part is the backrooms, and that was good.
- 1:07:08SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, I guess so.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_02: Seeing the back rooms part of the movie.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_00: Live action, seeing it happen.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_02: That's another thing though.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_02: That is the most important movie.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_02: It's a live action movie, but the best part of the backrooms is still just like a VHS footage of it, which is what we've gotten mostly done.
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_02: So do you think it's even impossible to do it really good?
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_02: Like is it possible to do it?
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_02: I still liked when he was crawling through it, and like he crawls through that tunnel, that little hallway thing, and then there's like the whole the chair that's sinking in the ground, the hole that has all the chairs in it, and then like a door that's like you know what I mean?
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and then like he sees like the shadow, so he climbs up there and gets out.
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_02: I liked when he was running through it, but it's a live-action movie, and the best part of the backrooms is just video cam footage that we've seen in the backrooms a hundred times.
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_02: But they do it the best I've ever seen it.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_02: It's good.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_02: I love that part.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_00: So I hope they make another one.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_00: I do too.
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_00: I'd be down to see another one to explore it further.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_02: Anything but ghosts.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_02: It's a movie.
- 1:08:09SPEAKER_02: 2027, I think, is when it's coming out.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_02: Made by Curry Barker, who made Obsession and his buddy.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_02: Excited about that one.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_02: I think it's about Anything but Ghosts?
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_02: I think it's about a crew of ghost hunters.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, I heard about that, yes.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_02: Um, go to like hunt ghosts, but they stage it and then maybe they run into Surreal Ghosts.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_02: They didn't announce that, so I'm excited for that.
- 1:08:29SPEAKER_02: It's horror movies have been good lately.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_02: Which is perfect because it's spooky season.
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_02: So we're gonna watch some scary movies.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_02: Any idea what you're gonna watch?
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_01: Um I don't know.
- 1:08:42SPEAKER_01: Maybe I might watch Captain of the Woods.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm gonna see him.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna watch it.
- 1:08:47SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_01: I'll probably watch that.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_01: Is there anything else I would I should watch?
- 1:08:52SPEAKER_00: Let us know what your favorite Halloween horror movie is.
- 1:08:57SPEAKER_00: We can watch it.
- 1:08:58SPEAKER_00: You guys watch them with us.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_00: And let us know what y'all think about them.
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'll watch Hungry Hill House again.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_01: I tried to re-watch that, but I couldn't I couldn't finish it.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_02: I'll watch it again.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_02: I don't know what else.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_02: We'll see.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_02: We'll just watch some scary stuff.
- 1:09:17SPEAKER_02: Recommend it so we have a better plan for next time.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_02: But as of right now, this week we're just gonna watch some stuff, maybe Cabin in the Woods.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_02: Talk about it.
- 1:09:23SPEAKER_02: Um we appreciate y'all listening and watching.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_02: If you uh have only ever listened before and you want to watch and see the new setup, we are in a new setup now.
- 1:09:34SPEAKER_02: Um same background stuff, just different orientation and different room.
- 1:09:40SPEAKER_02: Different room.
- 1:09:40SPEAKER_02: But uh, so you want to check that out.
- 1:09:43SPEAKER_02: Um if you've never watched before, you can go to the YouTube and watch.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_02: I think you can also watch video on Spotify and Spotify.
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

- 1:09:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we appreciate you watching and listening, and we'll see you next time.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_02: Bye.
