Speaker 1: I am a Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us
• 0:03
Speaker 1: to go to God in prayer. And as always, I
• 0:05
Speaker 1: invite you to join along with me in prayer. And
• 0:08
Speaker 1: one of the things that I pray is God, let
• 0:10
Speaker 1: me be hidden in You, Heavenly Father, in this sacred moment,
• 0:14
Speaker 1: we come before you with open hands and a surrendered heart.
• 0:17
Speaker 1: We don't want more of us to be seen. We
• 0:20
Speaker 1: want more of Jesus to be revealed. Your word declares
• 0:24
Speaker 1: that our lives are hidden with Christ in You, and
• 0:28
Speaker 1: today that is the place where we long to remain. Lord.
• 0:32
Speaker 1: Hide us in Christ, Hide our pride, our need for recognition,
• 0:37
Speaker 1: our desire for approval, in every selfish ambition that competes
• 0:42
Speaker 1: with Your will for our lives. Teach us God to
• 0:45
Speaker 1: decrease so that Christ can increase in every area of
• 0:49
Speaker 1: our lives. Let our words reflect your heart. Let our
• 0:52
Speaker 1: thoughts be governed by your truth. Let our actions bring
• 0:56
Speaker 1: glory to Your name and not our own name. When
• 1:00
Speaker 1: storms of life rage around us, hide us beneath the
• 1:03
Speaker 1: shadow of your wings. When criticism comes, let us be
• 1:07
Speaker 1: hidden in Christ. When success comes, let us be hidden
• 1:11
Speaker 1: in Christ. When disappointments, betrayal, or even the heartache tries
• 1:15
Speaker 1: to overwhelm us. Remind us that our identity is secure
• 1:19
Speaker 1: because we belong to you, Father. Strip away everything that
• 1:23
Speaker 1: does not look like you. Remove the fear of man,
• 1:26
Speaker 1: the distractions of the world in every weight that keeps
• 1:30
Speaker 1: us from running the race that you set before us.
• 1:32
Speaker 1: Clothed us with compassion and humility, and gentleness and patience
• 1:37
Speaker 1: and unwavering faith. God, make us quick to forgive, eager
• 1:41
Speaker 1: to serve, and faithful to obey, even when no one
• 1:45
Speaker 1: is watching. O, Holy Spirit, guard our hearts from a fence,
• 1:49
Speaker 1: Guard our minds from anxiety, Guard our mouths from words
• 1:53
Speaker 1: that don't honor you. Fill us instead with your wisdom,
• 1:56
Speaker 1: your peace, your love. Let the fruit of the spirit
• 1:59
Speaker 1: become evidence in our daily walk, so that people encounter
• 2:04
Speaker 1: Jesus Christ whenever they encounter us. Lord, we don't seek
• 2:08
Speaker 1: applause from people. We seek the smile of Heaven. We
• 2:12
Speaker 1: don't want to build our own kingdom. We want to
• 2:14
Speaker 1: advance yours. Let every gift you place within us for
• 2:18
Speaker 1: other people towards Jesus Christ. Let every victory testify of
• 2:22
Speaker 1: your faithfulness. Let every trial produce greater trust and deeper
• 2:26
Speaker 1: dependence on you, Oh God, Hide us so that your
• 2:29
Speaker 1: power can be seen. Hide us so that your grace
• 2:32
Speaker 1: can shine through every weakness. Hide us so that your
• 2:35
Speaker 1: light will pierce through the darkness of our lives. Oh God,
• 2:39
Speaker 1: let our lives be testimonies that apart from You we
• 2:42
Speaker 1: can do nothing, but with Christ, all things are possible
• 2:46
Speaker 1: according to Your perfect will. Thank you Lord for being
• 2:50
Speaker 1: our refuge. Thank you for being our strength. Thank You
• 2:52
Speaker 1: for being our hiding place and our salvation. We choose
• 2:55
Speaker 1: to abiding You today and every day. Let our lives
• 2:59
Speaker 1: be hidden intil the whole world sees not us, but
• 3:02
Speaker 1: the beauty, the mercy, and the glory of our Savior.
• 3:06
Speaker 1: In the precious, powerful, Holy name of Jesus, we pray Amen, Amen,
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: and Amen.
