- 0:01Just for having decided to see this month as a pilgrimage,
- 0:05your life as a pilgrimage,
- 0:07you will not come back the same person as you were when you left.
- 0:10And that is a relief, that's a blessing, that's an opening.
- 0:24Hello and welcome back to Remember Why You're Here,
- 0:27a podcast for seekers and sensitives where you can relax, receive,
- 0:32reconnect yourself, and remember the most important thing of all:
- 0:36why you're here. I'm Asia Suler, author,
- 0:40Earth Intuitive, teacher,
- 0:42and this is our intuitive reading for the month of
- 0:45March, 2026.
- 0:48This year has already felt so big and
- 0:53so much has happened that I'm a little bit of in awe of the fact that we're
- 0:57only in March. And at the same time, I'm also asking myself,
- 1:01how is it March already?
- 1:03But this reading really gave me a lot of perspective for the month ahead,
- 1:07so I'm hoping it is helpful for you as well.
- 1:11So some of the themes that we have up for this month are seeing the bigger
- 1:15story, transversing into new phases of your life,
- 1:20spiritual unfolding,
- 1:21the call to motion and soul perspective.
- 1:26So this month I worked with Kim Krantz archetype deck and the card that I pulled
- 1:30is the pilgrim.
- 1:33The pilgrim card is this beautiful image, this beautiful collage,
- 1:38where there's a picture of hands classed in prayer over one's
- 1:43heart.
- 1:43There's an eye and a mountain surrounded by sort of a swirl of
- 1:48rainbow watercolor.
- 1:51And I loved getting this card.
- 1:54I feel a very particular connection to this archetype of the
- 1:59pilgrim,
- 2:00and it really felt like it came in with so much guidance for this month
- 2:05up ahead. So in the guidebook, Kim Krantz writes,
- 2:09"for the pilgrim an outward journey is always an inward journey." And
- 2:14goes on to talk about this idea that even when you are in
- 2:18stillness, when you really embody this archetype of the pilgrim,
- 2:22you are always able to feel this movement in your heart towards
- 2:27what is calling you.
- 2:29This movement of the heart towards what it loves.
- 2:33And embedded in this card is this idea of this
- 2:36call to motion,
- 2:38that there's a call at the heart of your life to move,
- 2:42that there's invitation here into new levels of freedom and
- 2:47expansion and growth.
- 2:49This is why we take pilgrimages.
- 2:52And also this call to look at
- 2:56what is it that's in the way.
- 2:58It's like at any point we could open our door and just start walking,
- 3:02and be a pilgrim on the pilgrimage path.
- 3:06And inside of this card there was an invitation to ask yourself,
- 3:12what are the doors? What are the blocks?
- 3:13What are the things that I feel like are in my way that are preventing me
- 3:18from stepping out that door and becoming a pilgrim in life?
- 3:23So I loved her description in the guidebook,
- 3:24but I also have such a strong connection with this archetype of the pilgrim and
- 3:29the idea of pilgrimage.
- 3:30So I was really excited when I picked this card because I already
- 3:35have just this sense of the depth of what this really
- 3:39means for this month of March. And I do have a feeling that this is a big month.
- 3:44So the etymology of the word pilgrimage comes from the Latin peregrinus,
- 3:49which means foreigner or stranger, and also ager, which means field.
- 3:54So it's literally being a stranger or a foreigner
- 3:59through the land that you're moving through.
- 4:01It's like you are coming from elsewhere to move through a
- 4:05landscape that is unknown to you, a landscape that is not your home place.
- 4:10And I think this etymology of this word can really help us as we step into my
- 4:14reading for this month ahead of March, 2026.
- 4:19First, I just want to ground a little bit on what pilgrimage actually is,
- 4:23and I feel such like a heart resonance with this word because I really consider
- 4:28myself someone who is a pilgrim in this life,
- 4:31a devotee of pilgrimage. For me,
- 4:35travel is about pilgrimage. It's about this deeper journey.
- 4:40And so I think it's important to put this in context that pilgrimage is not just
- 4:44travel, right? So sometimes we travel right to escape our life.
- 4:48The pilgrim travels to move deeper into life,
- 4:52to move deeper into their existence.
- 4:54Going on a pilgrimage is not about endlessly consuming new
- 4:59places or exoticizing what we don't
- 5:02know. It's about encountering the numinous
- 5:07inside of an unknown journey.
- 5:09It's about going deeper into life rather than escaping it.
- 5:13It's about deep listening and openness to what comes.
- 5:17It's so much less about ticking things off a to-do list and so much more
- 5:21about being present for whatever it is that is here to meet you,
- 5:25whatever it is that is arriving. It's to go on pilgrimages,
- 5:29to feel a call,
- 5:30to go on an unknown journey because you sense that there's something within that
- 5:35journey that is here to help you uncover a new layer of your soul
- 5:40or your soul's perspective. To me,
- 5:44it feels like the difference between climbing to the top of a mountain and
- 5:48circumnavigating a mountain.
- 5:50The pilgrim isn't here on a destination quest.
- 5:55The pilgrim's quest is not about reaching some ultimate
- 5:59viewpoint or end goal,
- 6:02it's about the experience along the way.
- 6:04It's about walking the whole base of the mountain in order to
- 6:09experience the mountain itself,
- 6:11in order to go deeper into life.
- 6:14So there's really this focus on inner experience,
- 6:17so much more than outer accomplishment. Ultimately,
- 6:21we go on pilgrimage to be changed.
- 6:24We go in order to come back as a different,
- 6:29more expanded,
- 6:30more soul-resonant aspect of ourselves,
- 6:35to come back with more wholeness than with which we left.
- 6:40And I say all of this because I think that there's a huge invitation this
- 6:45month to reframe our journeys
- 6:50as pilgrimages,
- 6:53to remember from this soul perspective that, truly,
- 6:57we are beings of spirit,
- 7:01beings of energy and consciousness,
- 7:03who decide to take a pilgrimage through life,
- 7:07through this thing we call physical existence.
- 7:10Through this experience of being here on earth.
- 7:14Our souls are pilgrims here,
- 7:16we are traveling through, we decide to come,
- 7:20to learn to be changed.
- 7:22And I really have the sense that if we can remember this,
- 7:26that it will help us so much in the great passage
- 7:31that I'm sensing in this month.
- 7:34I kept getting this really more feeling state
- 7:37inside of myself.
- 7:38This feeling of March being this sense of crossing a great place
- 7:43into April. Like where we start in this month is not going to be where we end.
- 7:48We won't be in the same place at the end of this month that we were when we
- 7:51began it.
- 7:53I just get this sense of crossing some sort of
- 7:57spiritual terrain in your life this month.
- 8:00And it really got me thinking about castles,
- 8:02how we sort of idealize castles as these sort of
- 8:06romanticized places of your,
- 8:10but the reality is that castles were not built for comfort.
- 8:13Castles were built for protection.
- 8:16We know that the reality of living in a castle would've been very dark,
- 8:20very cold, just extremely un-cozy and not very livable.
- 8:24And so it felt like with this image that there's going to be this invitation
- 8:28this month to step out of the castles that we've built in our life and be able
- 8:32to turn around and look back at them and realize that the things that
- 8:37we built to protect ourselves in our lives,
- 8:41while they did a really good job at that, at protecting ourselves,
- 8:45we're really going to be able to see the way those structures are not livable,
- 8:51it's actually not a very ideal place to live. And bless our hearts,
- 8:56this is what we have to do in order to survive and evolve in
- 9:01this world is sometimes build castles,
- 9:03build structures that work at the time to protect us. And yet,
- 9:08once we feel this call towards movement, this call towards pilgrimage,
- 9:13we start stepping out and then we have perspective to look to look back and
- 9:16realize, wow, actually this place that I thought I needed so much,
- 9:20this structure of my life that I thought I needed so much,
- 9:25it is actually making my life
- 9:30less livable. It's, it actually wasn't very cozy in there.
- 9:34It didn't bring that much to my existence. All it did was protect me,
- 9:37but it didn't bring me life.
- 9:39I much rather prefer sleeping out here underneath the stars or feeling the sun
- 9:43on my face during the day.
- 9:46And I get the sense that whatever we're going to be stepping
- 9:50out of this month, sort of stepping away from to get perspective on,
- 9:55we're going to be able to see that and we're going to be able to envision a new
- 9:58structure for our lives because we've taken those first steps onto the
- 10:02pilgrimage, we have this ability to look back.
- 10:06And I really get this sense that there's something about getting a chunk of your
- 10:11story this month,
- 10:12like seeing a chunk of your story in a way you didn't see it before,
- 10:16being able to conceptualize of your story in a different way.
- 10:21And I want you to really trust what it is that you see.
- 10:23Whatever piece of your story comes back to you, arrives to you,
- 10:28clicks in for you, makes sense for you in a different way, really trust that,
- 10:32trust what you're seeing because this chunk,
- 10:36this perspective that you're able to get on your life now,
- 10:40this piece of your story,
- 10:42it's going to help you in the transitional energy of this month because I do get
- 10:46the feeling like we're transitioning into something big in April.
- 10:51I don't know.
- 10:52I get the sense that there's going to be transformation
- 10:57on offer and in April. And so the perspective that we're getting this month,
- 11:02this soulful perspective on our lives, on the things that...
- 11:06the castles we've built to protect us, our stories,
- 11:10that this is really going to help us in this continual story of
- 11:14unfolding that we are walking on.
- 11:17And so no matter what it is you encounter this month,
- 11:20to really resettle yourself in this perspective
- 11:24of the pilgrim,
- 11:25to see your life from the soul-led perspective as a
- 11:30pilgrim on the pilgrimage path,
- 11:33there are certain overarching spiritual rules about pilgrimage.
- 11:38And one of them is that when you are on pilgrimage,
- 11:41it's much less about seeing the big tourist destinations or getting
- 11:46to that point where you have the big overlook.
- 11:48And it's so much more about recognizing that everything that comes up along your
- 11:52path is a messenger,
- 11:54that everything that comes up along your journey is bringing you
- 11:58information and perspective and a reflection that you
- 12:02need. For the
- 12:05pilgrim, walking the path is the pilgrimage.
- 12:10And so as you move through this month and stuff comes up,
- 12:14I want to invite you to see it from this soulful perspective,
- 12:17this perspective of your soul,
- 12:20this wider being who has decided to go on this
- 12:25wild pilgrimage through physical existence,
- 12:29through life here on this planet and ask, what is this reflecting back to me?
- 12:34What is this showing me?
- 12:36If my whole life was truly a sacred journey in
- 12:40which my soul decided to come here and go on a journey in which I was
- 12:45changed,
- 12:45in which I received a piece of myself and I came back to my home,
- 12:50the place that I originate from,
- 12:53the place in spirit and in source in the divine that I originate from,
- 12:57that I come home with this greater understanding of myself. If this is true,
- 13:02if this is the reality,
- 13:04then what is it that this event or this
- 13:09change or this shift is reflecting back to me?
- 13:13What is this messenger on the path and what message do they bring me?
- 13:18It's our job as pilgrims to allow the pilgrimage itself to
- 13:23transform us. That's the purpose, that's the goal.
- 13:28And I do get the sense that there are some outer energies in
- 13:33March that are coming into transform us.
- 13:37And all we really have to do is commit in our heart to
- 13:42being on the pilgrimage of our life and to simply noticing what it
- 13:47is that's coming up for us and regrounding in that trust that...
- 13:51trust in our own soul,
- 13:52that our own soul knew what it was doing when it decided to take this pilgrimage
- 13:56through this life.
- 13:58There's a really beautiful essay by Czech writer and geologist Václav
- 14:03Cílek called Bees of the Invisible.
- 14:06In this essay, he outlines these rules of pilgrimage.
- 14:12It's a really beautiful essay.
- 14:14I'll put the link here if anyone is interested in reading it.
- 14:18But I wanted to read a few of these rules because while he is
- 14:22writing about pilgrimages to places here on earth,
- 14:25I think it's really helpful for us from a soul perspective
- 14:30when we remember why we're here on this planet.
- 14:34So here's just a few of the rules. There's more than this,
- 14:37but here are the few that really stood out to me for this reading this month:
- 14:41So first, we have this rule of home,
- 14:42this idea that we need to travel out in order to recognize our home,
- 14:47that we need to leave in order to understand we belong.
- 14:52And I think that's so much of our journey here on this planet,
- 14:55is remembering that we belong no matter what,
- 14:59remembering home, even as we come here and decide to forget.
- 15:03So you are on this journey of finding
- 15:08home as you are willing to leave home.
- 15:11It's a beautiful paradox. The next rule is the rule of resonance.
- 15:17And I love this rule when I'm traveling,
- 15:20but I think it's also so applicable to just life in general.
- 15:23And it's this rule that a smaller place that we resonate with is more
- 15:28important than a great place of pilgrimage.
- 15:32So from a travel perspective,
- 15:34it's like that one stone that you found out in the field
- 15:39that you sat with and just had such a big experience with,
- 15:42is so much more important than the fact that you made it to Stonehenge.
- 15:48So this is true for our lives too.
- 15:50We often have these really big goals
- 15:55in our lives. We have these
- 15:59sites we want to visit, these things we want to achieve,
- 16:02and those are important energies to help us in moving forward.
- 16:07But the small moments of resonance we have in our life,
- 16:11like that afternoon you spent outside with your kid playing in the creek,
- 16:16that just was like actual joy and not just exhaustion,
- 16:20or that that book that you read that one day,
- 16:24that chapter that you read that one day,
- 16:26sitting in that coffee shop and you just felt your world crack
- 16:31open into more possibilities than you had felt before.
- 16:34Those moments are what a life of pilgrimage are
- 16:38made of.
- 16:39Those are the accomplishments your soul came here to
- 16:44experience. And I think we all need to remember this so much,
- 16:48especially when we live in a world where the big,
- 16:52the grandiose, the popular, the obvious,
- 16:57whatever it is,
- 16:58that these are so often telegraphed to us as the goals to achieve
- 17:03when from our soul's perspective, those are not goals at all.
- 17:08Those are almost like side quests.
- 17:10The goals are those moments where you feel
- 17:14connection, belonging, understanding,
- 17:17and resonance with your own soul.
- 17:21So when we view life as a pilgrimage,
- 17:24we tend to have more of those moments and we're able to recognize them more when
- 17:28they come up. Václav Cílek also has the rule of return,
- 17:32which is the idea that we need to keep returning to a place at
- 17:37different times, in different ways, in order to see its wholeness.
- 17:40That when we are meant to be in deep relationship to a place,
- 17:45we will be called back there again and again.
- 17:49And that that is part of us understanding its wholeness.
- 17:54And I love this because on a soul level, that's what we do on this planet.
- 17:58We come back again and again in order to experience life
- 18:03from different perspectives, different angles, different upbringings,
- 18:07different lands, different cultures.
- 18:10But I also think it's important within our individual lives to remember this
- 18:14because so often we come back to the same places in our life again and
- 18:19again. And this makes sense, because our life is a pilgrimage. So of course,
- 18:24this rule of return, we will be brought back to this place.
- 18:27It doesn't mean we failed. It doesn't mean we're on the wrong path.
- 18:30It means that we're here to understand more of our own wholeness by
- 18:35experiencing this place again from a different perspective.
- 18:38Because you are not who you were when you experienced this place last time.
- 18:42Whatever this place is for you right now, you are different.
- 18:46And so you are going to get more perspective,
- 18:48more wholeness through visiting this place once again.
- 18:53And I think we all just need to hear this so much that...
- 18:56this affirmation, our hearts need it,
- 18:59that this rule of return is not our failure.
- 19:02It's how a pilgrim goes deeper on this
- 19:07journey of becoming.
- 19:09And then we have this rule of a slow approach that sometimes in order to
- 19:14reach the places we most desire to experience, we need to go slowly.
- 19:18We need to be on foot. In some medieval practices of
- 19:23pilgrimage, during the medieval era in Europe,
- 19:27pilgrimage was an incredibly important and sacred endeavor.
- 19:30Some people would walk on their knees to approach a holy site.
- 19:35And so I wanted to bring this rule in because sometimes we
- 19:40feel like if we're moving slowly, we're not moving at all.
- 19:44But this is also part of the pilgrims path that some places will not open for
- 19:48you unless you approach slowly.
- 19:51So if there's something you've been working on moving towards,
- 19:54and it feels slow going,
- 19:55know that that might be the exact right way to approach this in order for
- 20:01that new place,
- 20:02that new place of understanding and perspective and connection to open for you.
- 20:06And then finally, we have the rule of reciprocal awakening,
- 20:10which is this rule that by journeying we allow
- 20:15not only ourselves to awaken,
- 20:19but we reinvigorate the earth.
- 20:21That our pilgrimages taken with an open heart,
- 20:24that they bring awakenings to the places that we visit.
- 20:29And I think we need to remember this in our lives because sometimes we can just
- 20:32get so like myopic in our own
- 20:37existences, and the struggles and the challenges of our lives,
- 20:42that we forget that this journey of awakening that we're on,
- 20:45this pilgrimage that we're on,
- 20:47we're not just on it for ourselves and we're not even just on it for our own
- 20:50souls. We are also on this journey for the earth.
- 20:54We came here at this time for a reason to be a part of an
- 20:58evolution and an unfolding that is happening here on this planet,
- 21:02an evolution and an unfolding that is so much bigger than even our
- 21:07species.
- 21:08It's a planetary wide movement.
- 21:13And we've been asked to come here on a pilgrimage to
- 21:18step into this rule, this rule of reciprocal awakening.
- 21:22So everything that you were doing on your path to continue to
- 21:26unfold, all the ways into which you are recommitting to your journey,
- 21:30which you're willing to see your journey as the pilgrimage that it is,
- 21:34it brings energy, perspective,
- 21:37and awakenings to this planet as well. So when I picked this card,
- 21:41I started thinking about the pilgrimages that I've been on in my life,
- 21:45and I was trying to remember what were they like? What was that experience like?
- 21:50And I think this is important because we often forget that
- 21:55pilgrimage is a kind of altered state. It's different than your normal life.
- 21:59And so we can expect a month defined by
- 22:04being a pilgrim to be perhaps a little bit differently.
- 22:08So time might move differently.
- 22:09I think this is one reason why I kept getting this image of
- 22:14transversing,
- 22:16an aspect of your life or this sort of long journey or movement,
- 22:20that we're going to be different at the end of this month,
- 22:24because time's going to move differently.
- 22:26There might be times where it feels really fast,
- 22:28and then also times where it really slows down and maybe stretches out.
- 22:32And just to be aware of almost the fluidity of time and to be in relationship
- 22:37with that. When we are in pilgrimage,
- 22:41we are especially attuned to synchronicity and serendipity.
- 22:44So I really invite you this month to notice what synchronicities are coming in
- 22:49to notice the serendipities,
- 22:50to notice the messengers that are coming in for you because I just have this
- 22:54feeling that there's going to be almost these waypoints of insight
- 22:59this month that are really going to help you navigate the rest of the year
- 23:03ahead. And knowing that
- 23:08everything is coming in with a message of healing,
- 23:10that everything is helping you on your journey of becoming.
- 23:14And that no matter what,
- 23:16just for having decided to see this month as a pilgrimage,
- 23:20your life as a pilgrimage,
- 23:22you will not come back the same person as you were when you left.
- 23:25And that is a relief, that's a blessing, that's an opening,
- 23:30that's a newness in your life,
- 23:33that is fresh energy that can come in through
- 23:38being willing to devote yourself to this pilgrim path.
- 23:41And also reminding yourself that pilgrimages can be rigorous,
- 23:46that at the end of the day,
- 23:48taking some time to rub your feet and to have a good meal and
- 23:53to care for yourself and your body as you are on
- 23:57this greater pilgrimage called life.
- 23:59Because we need to be able to keep moving,
- 24:04to keep committing to this journey,
- 24:06to have the strength to get up the next day and making
- 24:10these small moments to nourish yourself and
- 24:15congratulate yourself and really honor yourself for being brave enough.
- 24:19You were brave enough to come here and you are brave enough to
- 24:24continue along the pilgrim path of your life.
- 24:27And that is no small feat.
- 24:31So I have loved doing these monthly intuitive readings,
- 24:34and it's just warmed my heart so much to hear how much they've been helpful for
- 24:39you. So if this reading resonated for you,
- 24:42I'd love to hear from you.
