- Vince Haynie: they had a stack of low rider magazines in the room I moved in. I'm looking at these low rider magazines. I'm looking at the interior, the paint job, the switches. I'm like, it was a stack of them. I got to look at them every night. I already like cars. So I'm getting a vision. like, then I go outside at night in the front of it. I live on El Segundo. But our house was set in the back. You know how house in LA, you got three or four on one lot. So they had ours was way in the back, the big house, and they had some little ones in the middle and then one big house. I walked through the drive-thru. At night, I see six fours and six threes hopping. I'm like, what's that? I'm like, what's that? They said, ⁓ that's a low rider. I'm a low rider, just like the books in my bedroom. They said, yeah, they was jumping and hopping and scraping. And then as I found out and reading the magazines and just keeping an ear to the street. DJ Rubbaban: Right. giving it up. Vince Haynie: I found out the preferable car was a 6-4 or a 6-3. I was the preferable low rider, the preferred low rider. DJ Rubbaban: Yo. Right.
