Sunny mornings send you. In local news, after
• 3:07
almost a decade of waiting, cannabis cafes in
• 3:10
Massachusetts could soon become a reality. The
• 3:14
Cannabis Control Commission approved final rules
• 3:17
for social consumption, allowing people to consume
• 3:20
marijuana in licensed places, similar to alcohol
• 3:23
at a bar. Commissioner Kerry Benedin described
• 3:27
this as an exciting opportunity for equity participants
• 3:31
and small businesses, while emphasizing public
• 3:34
health and safety. Supporters are celebrating
• 3:37
this unanimous vote as a monumental day for the
• 3:41
cannabis industry in the Bay State. New license
• 3:45
  types will include Supplemental, Hospitality,
• 3:48
and Event Organizer, paging the way for various
• 3:51
business opportunities. Towns and cities will
• 3:55
need to opt -in, with several already expressing
• 3:58
interest. Now onto sports. The NASCAR Antitrust
• 4:08
Trial has concluded without an official winner
• 4:10
or loser. Michael Jordan and the other plaintiffs
• 4:14
reached a settlement with NASCAR, ending a fierce
• 4:18
legal battle over alleged anti -competitive practices.
• 4:22
On December 11th, the settlement abruptly halted
• 4:25
the trial at U .S. District Court in Charlotte,
• 4:28
North Carolina. The details include evergreen
• 4:32
charters ensuring teams a spot in cup series
• 4:35
races. Jordan stated, we have to find some synergy
• 4:39
between the two entities. And last night, on
• 4:43
Thursday night football, Kirk Cousins led the
• 4:46
Atlanta Falcons to a thrilling 29 -28 comeback
• 4:50
victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cousins
• 4:54
threw three touchdown passes to Kyle Pitt Sr.,
• 4:58
while Zane Gonzalez nailed a game -winning 43
• 5:01
-yard field goal as time expired. Despite facing
• 5:05
a 28 -14 deficit in the fourth quarter, the Falcons
• 5:09
overcame a franchise record 19 penalties. Baker
• 5:14
Mayfield's crucial interception in the fourth
• 5:16
quarter contributed to the Buccaneers' fifth
• 5:19
loss in six games. Fitz finished with 11 catches
• 5:23
for 166 yards and three touchdowns, a first for
• 5:28
a tight end since 1996. In local sports, the
• 5:34
New England Patriots have a chance to extend
• 5:36
their win streak to 11 games, and capture the
• 5:40
American Football Conference East title with
• 5:42
a victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. After
• 5:46
dominating the division for a decade, the Patriots
• 5:49
have not won it in five seasons, nor made the
• 5:52
playoffs in three. Coach Mike Frable emphasized
• 5:55
the significance of this great stage as the team
• 5:58
aims to end their drought. Receiver Stefan Diggs
• 6:02
expressed pride in being the underdog, stating,
• 6:05
We've got something to prove. Quarterback Drake
• 6:09
May echoed this sentiment, noting the motivation
• 6:12
provided by the underdog's status. Kickoff is
• 6:15
at one on CBS. In top news, people are nicer
• 6:22
than you think. We consistently underestimate
• 6:26
how much others like us, which may hurt our social
• 6:29
lives. In a phenomenon dubbed the liking gap,
• 6:33
people tend to like us better than we believe.
• 6:36
Research shows that nearly 87 % of lost wallets
• 6:40
are returned, much higher than expected. Experts
• 6:44
believe this pessimism about others can hinder
• 6:47
connections and increase loneliness. To combat
• 6:50
these misjudgments, regular practice of engaging
• 6:53
with others is essential. Open up, be vulnerable,
• 6:58
and trust that others will respond positively,
• 7:01
because kindness is often greater than we anticipate.
• 7:06
In business news, Disney will invest $1 billion

• 7:22
featuring characters from Marvel, Pixar, and
• 7:25
Star Wars. This three -year deal represents a
• 7:29
shift for Hollywood studios, allowing them to
• 7:31
  monetize their intellectual property through
• 7:34
licensing agreements. Disney Plus will host fan
• 7:38
-inspired Sora short -form videos, launching
• 7:41
in early 2026. Disney CEO Bob Ager emphasized
• 7:46
the importance of this collaboration, stating
• 7:49
it will extend storytelling through generative
• 7:52
AI while respecting creators. This integration
• 7:56
could lead to more deals with open AI in the
• 7:59
future. In crypto movement, Bitcoin is up 1 %
• 8:04
for the week. to about $92 ,000. Ethereum is
• 8:09
  up 4 % to about $3 ,200. And XRP is down 2 %

Let's talk tech. Google is bringing Gemini's
• 9:11
Chrome integration to iPhone and iPad. iOS and
• 9:15
iPad OS users can now try out Chrome's basic
• 9:19
artificial intelligence browser tools. The built
• 9:23
-in Gemini artificial intelligence features in
• 9:25
Chrome are now becoming more widely available
• 9:28
on the iOS version of Google's browser. These
• 9:32
features are appearing several months after their
• 9:35
rollout on the desktop version began in September.
• 9:39
Once active, Chrome users will notice a new icon
• 9:42
in the address bar's left corner, shaped like
• 9:45
a notebook page with a Gemini star symbol. By
• 9:49
tapping this icon, you can ask Gemini questions
• 9:52
or have it summarize webpages. And in entertainment
• 9:59
news... Amazon Prime Video has pulled its AI
• 10:03
-powered video recap of Fallout after viewers
• 10:06
noticed inaccuracies. The recap incorrectly stated
• 10:10
that the ghoul's flashback takes place in the
• 10:13
1950s instead of the year 2077. This feature,
• 10:19
which began testing last month, is now missing
• 10:21
from several shows, including The Rig, Tom Clancy's
• 10:25
Jack Ryan, Upload, and Bosch. The AI narrator
• 10:30
also misrepresented a key plot point regarding
• 10:33
Lucy McLean's choices. According to Amazon, these
• 10:37
recaps should appear on a series detail page,
• 10:40
but they currently seem to be unavailable. The
• 10:44
Verge has reached out for comments, but has not
• 10:46
received a response. Well, alrighty, folks. It's
• 10:51
time for the quote of the day. And today... Our
• 10:55
quote comes from the American inventor and electrical

engineer, Nikola Tesla. And he said, And that's
